We moved in and have been here less than 2 months with constant issues. Our kitchen flooded the second week we were here. We informed the office of our kitchen sinks backing up and was dismissed until our kitchen flooded. The hallway bathroom had water damage from a water leak that we were told the leak was fixed and the wall would be repaired, we now just have a gaping hole in our bathroom. There have been more issues than I can count. Theres no peace here. Weve delt with banging and filed noise complaints that are just dismissed as a old building. The outside areas are constantly trashed. We have been paying a large amount of rent for sub par apartment. We have emailed management several times with these issues and it seems you have to email and call repetitively to get anything done. This is not a well functioning property and is poorly managed. Regardless of the many excuses I have received for all of the issues I would NOT recommend moving to this property.

The Arcadian is the spot to be now, and I’m so happy that I didn’t move. Abbie is the new manager and she is getting stuff done. She is the first manager that I feel like I can do go talk to and she listens to my concerns. I finally feel like a resident at a community.

When I first moved here a couple years ago management was a mess, this new company/new people in the office my phone calls is finally answered. My maintenance issues are finally fixed and now I enjoy my apartment it will be a long road for this company since the last one messed everything up but you can tell they are trying for the residents. For that thank you new management company! :)

Couldnt upload more than one photo, but This is how the apartment looked when I got the keys, before I moved any of my things in. Look at the exposed floor that was never even finished .I have been up to the office many, many times trying to fix this and have been given 3 separate dates that a floor guy will be here that nobody showed up. You cant call the office, the phone goes straight to voicemail. It is disgusting that landlords are allowed to treat people this way.

I must admit I read some reviews prior to moving and should’ve went with my gut and went somewhere else. These apartments are trash. From the maintenance inside and outside the apartments to the service. I’ve heard of multiple residents being overcharged for utility bills. No wonder why half the apartments are vacant. The business side is very poor and lacks professionalism. Spacious floor plans is the only plus. If you don’t mind bugs and poor maintenance service, then these apartments are definitely for you.

Worst apartment complex ever. I had mold in my apartment and water from the next apartment coming into my apartment and my carpet were so wet and it smelled bad because of the water I asked and put in a request for them to fix it Immediately and they did not weeks and months went by and they did nothing to fix my mold problems or the water coming into my apartment. The apartment next to mine was infected with mold I have a bunch of proof and now theyre trying to charge me because I left my apartment I was keeping my infant safe from that sick environment.

These apartments were once called Twin City Apartments. They are infested with roaches, and water Bugs. They are disgusting. I signed a lease and never slept in the house but 3 times, and out of those 3 times 1 roach crawled up my basketball shorts while sleeping; which made me stay up all night searching for more. The moment you opened the front door they started to scatter, my 13 year old sister was in the shower and water bugs(flying roaches) fell on her head. I then decided to break my lease because of the infestation. & they charged me $2,500 for not even living there for 1 month. I highly do not recommend. I will be taking this to court as well as taking this to the HUD

Yes im going to give them one star. I have been interested in possibly moving there for a least a month. I call them for info, i get voice machine. Fine. I give them my name and contact number, i get NO response. They say they are open from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Really? Because every time i come they are never there. I know people have things to do, but they could at least post something on the office door, if they are not going to be there or have to leave for something. This has happened every single time i went to inquire about apartments. I will try some were else. They must be overworked or understaffed. You tell me.

I stayed in 3 separate units during my 2.5 years at Twin City. Heres why:I first moved here in May 2016 to sign a lease for my very first apartment. This was when the old management were still in charge. Things were okay at first. Not a glamorous place, but it was doable and also affordable as a college student. Shortly after, I soon realized I had a neighbor who posed a risk to my safety. Upon my first complaints to the office, I was told, Thats just how he is. He wont harm you. Of course after that, things got progressively worse and uncomfortable, and my complaints were still ignored. I then posted a Google review that finally got the attention of the then regional manager at Lynd. They allowed me to change to a new unit, at no cost. The second unit was in the front of the apartment, and I felt more at ease with living here for awhile. I had the occasional AC break, and many many bugs in both apartments, but I made it work. With this unit, I was finishing out my original lease, and had the option to get a bigger apartment when it was over. I decided to take that option, but it turned out to be a huge mistake. When it came time to move into the 3rd unit 4/26/18, I was given the wrong moving amount, the apartments carpet was not changed after allegedly having a date set weeks prior, and the unit was still nasty and dirty from the last tenant being evicted. I was so frustrated that I had to take time off of work to move, and now I have unconcerned office workers telling me they cant do anything. Eventually, they agreed to expedite a removal service with a carpet company, and the then office manager and one other employee cleaned the apartment themselves. After the moving fiasco, I still had the problem of being given the wrong moving amount, and was told I was owed x amount of money by a certain date. I paid what I was told, and limited most of my interactions with the leasing office after that. The bugs were still constant, and they started charging rather high prices for water and trash.12/2018, I notified the leasing office I had to move at short notice because I was notified to start a new job many states away, immediately after graduating. I was told they couldnt waive any fees, and I had to pay the 2 months rent termination fee minus my security deposit, in which I complied. Upon moving out 1/2/2019, my apartment was completely clean which I sent pictures of, and I returned all keys. During this time, the office was closed without notice and the phone system was not working. Email was the only form of communication, which they are also terrible at. I sent my termination fee by certified mail, which they received in hand AND cashed, and now its 4 months later and Im being notified that my balance was sent to debt collections. I still have receipts and documentation to prove otherwise. But of course, their phone system is STILL NOT WORKING. I need to know rather quickly why something like this is happening, and they cant even be reached directly. The rep at Lynd corporate was helpful in my situation, but on Twin Citys behalf this is unacceptable. If you took the time to read my full review, save yourself the trouble and do not rent here. It only seems to get worse and worse. & If you are still living here, please keep up with EVERYTHING you pay and receive from this place.

Honestly had the worst experience here. Since the new management arrived, everything went downhill. Their pools are disgusting and not usable. They also are ALWAYS closed. They never answer the phone because theyre busy. They literally say they are closed from 12-3 or something like that just for lunch. Who needs a 3 hour lunch? They have also been charging people wrong for their water. They also NEVER fix things. They have a horrible cockroach and bug problem through all of their buildings. Horrible staff and horrible experience.

The apts are spacious for a decent price and the staff is great. Do not like the bug issues, poor flooring to where my apt is slanted on the inside (very uncomfortable...feels like I am living on a hill). Some of the maintenance crew is attentive and some arent. Was without air for a month and a half before it was fixed.

Worst place to live after the Lynd company took over..I lived in Twin City for a few years.. First year was great...last two years, everything went down hill..They are so behind in paying there bills, that they cant order maintenance supplies.. therefore residents have to suffer with getting repairs done..Now that I moved I have to fight with them to get my deposit back..

I’ve been residing here for over a year and the maintenance issues, non or slow at making a or any repairs are beyond belief. I now have an overflowing toilet ( bathroom #2, upper hallway) that’s overflowed and the sewage is running down the wall into the utility closet. I can’t even reach anyone because the office contact info isn’t current nor up to date online. What does this management suggest I do? Seeing that complaints to the office aren’t always a possibility from the quickest outlet I know of, and that’s to pick up my phone and call versus leaving to see if someone’s in the office and the plumbing issue or whichever’s at hand continues and begins to create problems elsewhere! I am a US NAVY veteran that solely moved here under the impression that this rental experience would been a better one than my last location. I would really like the information here to be updated for future residents. Even if only to service your community and residents on a better scale than you previously have.

Im reading all these reviews and managent responding is a joke. Its easy to see that the problems have gone in for over a year with bug and maintenance issues and unsanitary environment due to lack of repairs. Problems like these lasting this long? Whos actually going to believe that they are working on it after that long? Bug issues can be eliminated faster that a years time with a Regular pest control program.

Ive lived here for around 4 years now and it has slowly gone downhill with each management change. And let me tell you we change management about once every 3 months at this point. Nothing gets fixed no matter how many times you tell them about your problem. The parking is terrible and the lot is full of pot holes. The trash isnt being picked up from the dumpsters, yet they still charge for garbage pickup. We have a leak in our ceiling and have been asking them to fix it for months with no luck. They did however give us a new showerhead (with absolutely no pressure, so they can save on water while still charging us the same amount) and lightbulbs! Because thats more important than our leaking ceiling...

We were treated unfairly when we had a job transfer and were forced to move states. We immediately informed them, and they told us we would not be penalized. Within one week after leaving, we were harassed by a collection agency for over $3,000.00. This was a dirty way to treat a tenant that truly enjoyed living there after transferring from a different apartment complex in Winston-Salem. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Firstly been here living for 5yrs but my last 3yrs here maintenance people took long to come out and fix things or would never come after cling multiple times. Had roof leak damage for 2yrs people or the staff came by just taking pictures and it went like that for months but no one did anything about the leak. It wasnt just a small leak it was one whole side of the bedroom that was coming down and leaking. Now the landlord has no other apartments ready he claims for me to move into. Contacted City Link for help on the damages the staff were not fixing and so they can see all apartments around here without ac also. A bunch of other of my neighbors are saying they will also move out soon. 5yrs ago this was a nice place no live but not anymore....

I am a military veteran, recently separated from the Dept. of Homeland Security and I have never been in this type of position before. 1) the kids running through the breezeway screaming, after reporting the issue we then became the problem. We are terrible tenants because every time we hear the screaming we come out to see if something is wring with the kids ranging from 4 to 11 years of age, well after getting up 17 times you get a little tired of the noise. 2)we complained about the people that park in the parking lot outside the apartments smoking weed, nothing got done about that so I started patrolling the parking lot myself because I was still with the Dept. of Homeland Security at the time informing police when they were out there. Then when reported all I got was, Yeah we know and, Have a good day 3)The maintenance staff is overwhelmed with reports just like the one that is below this review, rats, over flowing toilets, stopped up drainage for the sink, electrical issues, etc. I have spoken to the head maintenance guy several times about the fact that there are so many issues he would need several new hires to get it all done. Its just to much for him and the skeleton crew he has here 4) Since being here I have personally witnessed 4 fist fights and one person got jumped out here and of course once the police get here its all over with 5) I have never had an issue with any of my neighbors anywhere I have lived but I have a neighbor above me that should have been evicted months ago due to me complaining the upstairs neighbor Ms. Taramis Valeria Abrams employed at Baptist Hospital as a security guard put trash in front of our door and put a bloody tampon applicator on our back porch which I have pictures of, I have video of her throwing trash at our cars out here also. She makes a point to make as much noise as she possibly can between the hours of 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. and also including fighting and her two kids are left up there alone to make even more noise. I have complained to the rental manager Charlene more than 6 times and I have called the police four times in which I have four police reports . Charlene laughs in my face completely disregarding our request and she does not take our reports seriously. Dont move here, go somewhere else we are only hoping that she terminates our lease like she did in the last review, DO NOT RENT HERE, DONT RENT HERE, PLEASE BEWARE DONT RENT HERE, NO ALQUILAR AQUÍ

If you are out of options then move here. Went to see the property and they showed me “available” properties that didn’t even look like they were livable on top of that the pictures are deceiving. Don’t waste your time. I walked in the town home that had black spots on the carpet, soda cans and water leaking from the bathroom to the living room and front door. I found it weird they would even show the property in that condition.
