*USE EXTREME CAUTION!!!* This business DOES NOT clean chairs or nail tech stations after each customer, nor do they ask you to wash your hands before they service you. There is a plastic barrier at some stations but they are absolutely filthy & appear as though they have not been cleaned in quite some time. As well as the overall appearance of the salon it could definitely use significant revamping (paint, design, etc.) and some serious dusting/cleaning. As for my experience, I was a brand new customer so I made an appointment for an acrylic full set & pedicure. All in all, I was satisfied with both services performed & the customer service right until when I went to pay I noticed the prices I was charged did not reflect what was on their sign. At first my total was $70 but then before she rang it up she changed it $80 & said she made a mistake. I didn’t ask but it was very disappointing. My nails also barely lasted two weeks. Not only did they lift, two nails completely fell off. I will not be going back here.

I love this Nail Design. I have been getting my nails done at this store for a very long time. I stopped for a few years because I relocated. I am so happy to be back and after being gone for 2 years they welcomed me back, asked about a friend and Tony remembered exactly what I liked. It doesnt get more personable than that. On top of that my nails always look AMAZING when Tony is done.

It’s not the fanciest salon, but great price and service. Than (or Tahn?) did my mani/pedi and I have no complaints. Customers were calling and walking-in to set appointments. I’ll definitely see back.

I was a customer for 4 years, but in I stopped being one because they treat customers badly, there are rude staff and they tend to make fun of customers in their language, they have a bad way and hang up the phone even if you keep talking to them. I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure and whe I arrived she was super rude and began to shout that she was not going to attend me because she had arrived 10 minutes late and she did not want to respect the second appointment I had with her

**update**I did a French gel manicure, with another person and lasted me for less than a week, started to crack in the whites and in the end of thef second week, my nails look terrible, never coming back. There is enough places in the area to try. Not worthy.I went as a walk in on a Tuesday and was able to make with Tony and he was amazing, he fixed my gel that was too tick from a previous nail salon and filled my gel. The place is comfortable and everyone is pretty friendly, the price is honest for the work done and was pretty quick. I will definitely come back.

I have been coming to Nail Design for more than 10 years, and my mom longer than that. Lan treats her clients like gold and won’t finish the job until you’re satisfied with the results. She runs her business with the utmost professionalism and is one of the kindest people I know. You can absolutely trust Nail Design with your nails and waxes, such a great business in the area!

Love this place, reasonable pricing and a staff that remembers you and welcomes you back. Lan is a very very sweet woman who will make sure you are 100% satisfied. Highly recommend.

I get coffin shape acrylic and gel every time. Ask for Tony he is the best.

Needs a fresh paint job BUT the customer service was great, I havent been in years and they remembered me and my nails look amazing. I went to get cash to tip and I got a compliment on my nails!

Friendly staff, had no wait time, good prices, and clean.. Just didn’t like the fact that the place is called Nail Design, but they don’t do designs on the nails. Would recommend to friends though

I love this place. I have gone other places and I always come back here. They are friendly, they listen to what you ask for and their skills are awesome. Specially Kim she is quick and her nails are the best love her!

When you call to make an appointment the guy wont take down your name. He says he is very busy. I was recommended to go to this nail shop but just over the phone they are rude. It doesnt make you want to go there. Nail shops are a dime a dozen.... plenty of other places to give business elsewhere.

Ive had mixed results. If I went more often Id go to the same person. I just felt like I needed a manicure. I had my first about 45 years ago, and know a good one from not so good. Today the nail tech went through the motions. The one request was not to get too close with the cuticles, as that usually results in hang nails. That usually takes a few days, so,well see on that. I do have a few visibly rough edges under some nails, and there was effectively no buffing, just a cursory swipe or two.

Best gel manicures Ive gotten (last a really long time) and Ive gone to more than 3 other salons. Their prices are very reasonable and theyre very nice. They dont really give a long hand massage though, so dont go there for a spa experience.

Always the best service and always the best price! I’ve compared prices all the way out to Purceville and the Herndon Nail Design beats everyone by far for price and quality service. They are literally unbeatable! Lan & Kim are my favs, Tony is a bit rough around the edges but still very nice. I’ve been a customer for 25+ years and still going from Ashburn, Virginia

I went here after Christmas and had not been here in years. The nice people working here always do my nails so good. They did a nude color coffin style I wanted and it hasnt chipped or anything. I have to say they were pleasent to be around. They talk to me and are very resourceful about the DMV. They have been around a long time and care about their customers. Awesome nail designed the way I requested. I am a very happy customer. Thank you!

Friendly staff .. obvious that a LOT their customers are repeat customers. I get overlays/fills (not on artificial nails) to protect my permanently badly split nails. (Oh, and pedicures). They are great!

Nail polish on my manicure started to chip next day. My foot massage was so so. Customer service so so, could have been more personable.After all, it was my anniversary

Good news and bad news for this place. Bad news is that I made a 3 oclock appointment and sat for a half hour before they took me, but came out with a very well-done mani-pedi. However, the fumes in the shop are AWFUL. Good news, I arrived today without an appointment, and got in immediately. The woman who did my pedicure was highly skilled; you couldnt ask for better! She was thoughtful and pleasant and spoke good English (not all of them do).

Tony is the guy you would want to do you nails, hes great!

Summary: DIRTY/NOT HYGIENICBAD GEL POLISH JOBBAD CUSTOMER SERVICE (BLAMED CRAPPY SERVICE ON ME!!)where to start....first of all, i called and the guy on the phone told me it wasnt busy so i could come in and not have to wait (i was on my lunch break). I get there and there is a line and i had to wait 20 minutes. second, when they finally called me, there was a dirty towel on the table where she started filing my nails. there was powder from all the filing of the person before me. DISGUSTING!!!! the woman did my nails with the color i chose. after she did the first coat of color (2nd coat of polish), i noticed that she left blank spaces at the edges of my nail but i figured ok i can deal with that. after the 2nd coat of polish i noticed she left polish on the skin in some places. She started telling me that i would be the last to use that color (cuz it was running out). im like ok thats great i get the last of the color i want. yay! NOT!! she was done with the manicure and i noticed it was ALL STREAKY!! that is not normal, right? i didnt say anything on the spot because i dont usually get my nails done so i dont want to make a big deal of something that maybe isnt. well my coworkers agreed that it was really badly done. i called to complain and the woman blamed it all on me! that i should have told her; and that she told me it was too thick because only a little was left, but i still wanted that color so she had to try hard (she never told me it was too thick, only that it was running out); she also said that I was rushing her (because i asked her 1 time how much longer i had to leave my finger in the thing...the last finger because she had to fix it already cuz i asked her to where the nail polish was on the skin). all in all, horrible service and not hygienic. i will be calling my credit card to cancel the charge. i would never recommend this place to anyone else.

When for pedicure to this place I am not happy with the kind of services i got should done it my self very poor job it was done not even 20 minutes not coming back here. there is so many nail saloon in the area for same price or less.
