These apartments are very spacious and are luxurious. Some of the apartments come with a garage even if you have an apartment without a garage there’s plenty of parking. There is a pool for everyone to use that is very big and not to deep for kids to play in. If you have dogs there are some stands around the apartments with bags to pick up your dogs business. If you’re ever looking for any apartments around the Austin area these are the ones you should come to and I promise you will not regret it.
Where to start….Due to COVID you have to electronically sign your lease…. What you find out later is you’re also signing your walk through inspection. They then tell you you have 48hrs to return it or you’ve signed a blank form..meaning no issues.I was told Tibet may bill me $50.00 for not setting up electricity before moving in, only they never set me the information. When I moved in I registered 2 cars but got 1 parking sticker. I spoke to them about this, offered to pay for another sticker and had property manager assure me “we can work something out” 2nd car arrived Wednesday but I couldn’t get to the office due to work schedule, car towed Sunday morning. Property Manager now saying he doesn’t recall the conversation.Had issues with unit from walk through, and had work orders opened, a week later still no resolve, they are very busy.Put in 2nd set of work orders for issues from walk through, ( that they said were fixed) same property manger from parking issue set them being on site Monday morning, I called them at 1:15pm to see where they were, told I’ll get a call back, at 3:50pm finally get a call, staff was busy today, how about tomorrow. This is what I’ve been dealing with and I’ve only been here 19 days.
Overall I enjoyed my apartment, the management team worked with me many times when I was in desperate times and it’s a pretty quite place to live but it’s just really unfortunate it’s location which is why I give it 2 stars. On more than one instance I was stolen from (patio furniture that I had outside my entry door as well as DoorDash food). My boyfriends car was towed while in guest parking as well as had his catalytic converter cut out and stolen from his truck while also in guest parking. When I contacted management I was informed that there is no cameras over in the area of which my boyfriends car was parked as well as no fence to keep out non residents. With the homeless community very close, it also brings a lot of non residents to the area. The gates are almost always broken either in the front or back or they’re always open. Again, overall staff worked with me a lot in times of need which I appreciate but the area really made my stay here unfortunate.
Major parking issues that are known to management and are slowly being addressed. Maintenance team is amazing, especially Jerry. Communication with residents could be a lot better. It feels like the office team sits on emails because they are short handed and busy. I get it... The apartment itself is very enjoyable and so are the community amenities. Daniel has been a saint, and Nicole is really trying hard. My only main issue is slow communication.
For being a gated community there’s nothings really “gated” about it. The side entrance stays open more often than closed. And that’s not even the actual problem. The bad thing is that due to that there’s literally homeless people walking in and out freely throughout the night. We even found one bathing and washing her clothes in the pool! She was just casually going about her business while there was people in there. My girlfriend comes home from work in the nighttime and she usually goes to the gym downstairs and she doesn’t even feel safe making that walking trip from the apartment to the gym and back anymore. On top of that my garage was broken into a few months and over a thousand dollars in property was stolen. When I called the front office and told them about the incident and that a police report was made all I got was a “unfortunately we don’t have cameras back there, sorry” seems like they’re more concerned with dogs being on balcony’s and towing any car they can rather than actually keeping the residents safe. Speaking of towing, if you have any friends or family coming over make sure you tell them there’s going to be a fee of over $200 if they plan on staying over an hour because that’s how much it’s going to cost to get their car out once their car gets towed.
Such a beautiful apartment! Super clean community. Doggy stations everywhere. I’m just in love with this place already
We were delighted to move into Alister Balcones, the leasing center is responsive to our requests and the apartment is completely renovated. The attached garage and laundry room are a real luxury for us and the amenities are of very good quality. The only thing is that we have to pick up our packages on the other side of the road which is not very convenient.
My husband and I moved from NC to Alister Balcones a week ago. We were unable to view the apartment in person so we were going strictly based off the website, reviews, and a video we found of our particular layout. When we arrived our unit looked better than I expected. Everything had just been replaced (floors, fans, appliances, etc.) I was extremely satisfied that our apartment looked like/even better than the pictures. We submitted minor things needed done and several maintenance people have already come to address the concerns. So far this complex seems like a great value, great location, and great people. Checks all the boxes for me. :)
Moved in a week ago and so far so good. My apartment was sparkling clean upon move in the updated units are very nice the community is very well taken care of and quiet, and all of my interactions with the staff has been pleasant. My only downside is the parking spaces..they are sooo narrow Im always afraid to park right next to someone in fear they might ding my car.
I have found the office staff and management at Aiister Balcones fair minded, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They responded in a timely and respectful manner to questions and situations that I had.
I moved in 3 months ago and have loved it so far. We have a newly renovated unit with high ceilings and lots of space. Friendly staff and great facilities. Besides the limited parking availability, I have no complaints!
Just moved in. Great Community and apartments!
Beware renovated apartments! Very poor quality, sloppy, incomplete renovation and overall poor customer service from leasing staff (and regional manager apparently too busy to respond to customer satisfaction issues after more than a week waiting for a reply)Scratches on the floor of newly renovated unit, sloppy interior paint job including paint on kitchen cabinet hardware and on door knobs, paint stains on patio, old front door in need of repainting with rusty door lock, old ripped window screens (apparently original to the apartment when it was built 15 years ago) and the list goes on.Decided I wasnt going to wait weeks (or longer) for all the problems to be corrected so decided not to finish moving in. Got most of my money back (minus most of my app/admin fee of course) but they still charged me for 4 days rent while I was waiting for the leasing staff to get back to me.No apology ever offered and never once did any of the staff acknowledge that the quality of the apartment wasnt acceptable. Very disappointing.
Love living here, always welcoming and good parking
Very friendly staff and nice apartments.
Nice ambience and great place to live in . Love the way the community been maintained .
I love the upgraded apartments. The amenities are really nice especially the gym looks great and has alot of equipments. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly
I sincerely love living at Alister Balcones! My apartment is fantastic. Its clean, modern, bright and open. I LOVE the loft in my unit which I have set up as my private office. Im blessed to be able to work from home and AB is a quiet place that allows for that. The grounds and amenities are clean and well cared for. After selling my house during my divorce I was blessed to live here which my apartment locator found. I am so glad she found it and that I chose to live here! Highly recommended!
I’m writing to acknowledge one of the maintenance staff members. Jorge Huerta has serviced a few request for me in both apt 8302 & 7301. This guy has shown true professionalism and excellent customer service!! He’s quick to respond and has completed every job to my satisfaction. Definitely a high quality team member to have and glad he’s with Alister!
Best apartment Id ever lived in and very sad to be leaving, but Im moving further south for a better commute. (My current apartment doesnt compare to what Ive had here.) The front office staff is very nice and accommodating, the pool and grounds are always very nicely kept, and I love the HUB they offer for packages. The renovated apartments are super nice, but the ones that arent renovated arent bad either! If you need to be in this area, this is the place to be. You can hear your neighbors if they get a little rowdy, but the place cant help its walls.
Im rarely able to park by my building, hear dripping in the ceiling, and have things in my unit still not fixed from when I reported them at move in. There was an instance where staff members accidentally came into my unit while I was gone (during COVID-19... it also terrified my pup), claiming I had called that morning about a maintenance request. They even tried to argue that I was for sure the person who called. The staff tends to be grumpy and very short with the residents. The dog park is pretty small, and theres always so much mud by the gate (it smells terrible). My sister visited for a weekend and her car was towed. Ill admit she was parked in the property, and not is the few guest spaces on the opposite side of the complex, but then what is even the point of registering the car on their online system? At least give guests a courtesy call if youre gonna double their chances of being towed. Plus it was a holiday weekend, no one was in town so the parking area was clear!
When I moved here in 2018, I was impressed by the appearance of the community and the newly remodeled units. The office was nice and accommodating. The amenities are amazing. But after inspecting our apartment after move in there were a couple of issues. The remodeling was sloppy and I’m sure they know it, the floors and bathtubs started peeling after a year and the floors scratch so easily. Things break here pretty frequently. (Thankfully the maintenance people do their job) The parking is HORRIBLE and my friends have gotten towed multiple times but cars will sit covered, without license plates, broken down, etc. for months. There are only around 10-15 visitor parking spaces and most are always taken. If you come home around 6-7 you will most likely not find a parking spot close to your apartment. The complex is “gated” (only for cars you can just walk in) but the gates break multiple times a month. If you are a plant lover do not move here. Plants get stolen endlessly and management will do nothing. I even asked them to send a message to residents to watch out and no response! They will only do something if you get the police involved, who don’t care about that kind of theft. We had to team up with other residents here to find and confront the thief ourselves. Also, if you call the office don’t expect to actually talk to someone there! Anytime you call it’s someone out of the office and most of the time they aren’t very helpful. Multiple people here, including myself, are leaving within the next month so when you see multiple vacancies that’s why.
Living here has been a blast! Moving during a pandemic has its own issues but the Alister staff made it so easy. Our apartment was a renovated apartment which I recommend over the classic. Ive never had any issues with parking and my pups really love it here.
If you have friends that live in this apartment do not bother to try and visit them. They barely have 10 visitor parking spots available and will tow you without hesistation. Even if you park in the visitor spots you will get towed. Why? Because you still have to register your vehicle and the instructions are on the back gate where no visitor even drives through. Absolutely Terrible!
Beautiful apartments! I came up to visit my sister who recently moved here and overall everything is beautiful! The apartment itself is very spacious and modern. Big beautiful trees give the perfect shade to sit on the porch, but a fence would be good for the residents safety. The pool was very clean and our kids made friends really fast! The people around here are very friendly! I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking for an updated very spacious apartment in the NW Austin area!
I love my apartment community and the staff! I look forward to the community activities allowing the staff interaction with the community on a personal level as well as the opportunity to meet other people.I have been living here since I moved to Austin in 2014. The upgrades to the property now have Alister Balcones on the level of other properties. One of my favorite additions was valet trash. 😀 The only way I am moving is to a more permanent situation which is a house. The whole staff from maintenance to management are awesome. Keep up the good work!👍🏾
Your car will be towed. Cheap appliances and light switches will constantly break. The property Is backed up to a concrete/fabrication yard and has thin walls so I hope the sounds of a front loader cracking slab at 6 in the morning is an appealing alarm clock. All the while youll be billed constantly for everything. If you have the displeasure of making this your abode take many pictures before you move anything in. Dirty breeze ways, dead grass, and a gym/clubhouse that was closed more than open. Save yourself a year of hair pulling and move in with the herds of homeless that live a quarter mile down the road. Might as well since theyll be breaking into your car here.
I like the easy access to the major roads while being far enough away that it’s not too noisy. The Alister team is helpful and seems to care about keeping this community clean and safe.Neighbors are willing to share a ‘hello’ and seem cool.
Good appartment complex but terrible parking situation. Its supposed to be a gated community but the back gate has not been working (remains open) for the last 6 months. They will send notices if you decorate or put furniture in the balcony. The staff communication deteriorate drastically during the pandemic
Just moved in a month ago and so far everything has been amazing! Community staff are all very friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests for things we noticed upon move in were completed quickly. The pools and other amenities are great and all very clean!
It’s very calm and pleasant..
This complex has a lot of wonderful things going for it. The staff are friendly and personable, the community is quiet in my experience, and the apartments themselves are gorgeous. However, the parking situation has really brought down my feelings about this complex. There is one row of parking that wraps around the entire complex. This was fine at first since I was able to find a spot close enough to my apartment day to day. However, as more people have moved in, it is nearly impossible to find a spot close enough anymore. Coming back to the complex after 6pm or so and you will have to park at least three sections of parking away. This is normally fine except for when it’s raining and I have groceries I have to lug back and forth. There are also some spots designated “compact car only” which seem to be occupied by larger vehicles that make parking next to them in an actual compact car nearly impossible. They most likely park there because they want to be closer to their apartment. Considering it’s so early when parking gets full, I would hate to have actual plans that have me coming back after 10pm. Otherwise they’d have to park very far away. These small aggravations not only affect me, the resident, but my visitors as well. There are only about 10 visitor parking spots. It was so embarrassing having my mother visit me and drive around the complex only to realize there were not any spots for her to park in. We even drove across the street to the south complex to see if there were any there to no avail. I would understand such strict towing rules if there were actually more than ten visitor parking spots available! I am afraid of having friends visit me in more than one car. All-in-all, this complex is very nice to live in if you can get past the parking grievances. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like anything they can fix in the future.UPDATE:I have added one more star to my review because despite everything I’ve mentioned up top, the people working in the office really do work with you and are very kind. They’ve accommodated my requests without having to and that’s something that means a lot to me. The parking can still be frustrating but it seems to be that way with several complexes around Austin.
I have really enjoyed living at Alister Balcones. The staff members are friendly and professional. Maintenance has always been quick to respond when Ive had a problem. They now have a courtesy officer living there and he seems to already be having an impact. I feel like I live in a safe, well-maintained community. I also love that they are pet friendly. This is a nice, quiet community with great amenities.
The recent renovations have been fantastic. I wish they could renovate my apartment while I lived in it but its cool. Staff is great. Work orders are usually completed pretty quick.
My five-star review is specifically for the leasing staff. Theyre patient, understanding, and always attempt to find a solution. Ive had a few issues when moving in, and the staff has been eager to help. Alister Balcones – the company – recently purchased Dacotah Springs. I do not have enough experience with Alister Balcones to review the company itself.
I love Alister Balcones apartaments, April was an amazing help by making our move easy and always keeping up with us about how everything was going.Units are amazing and beautiful i wouldn’t have moved to a better place for me and my family.I recommend 1000% to move here all the staff is amazing.
I love this community because it is very quiet, the staff is very friendly and respectful. Currently they have joined the neighborhood community more with activities and that is very nice.
I absolutely love this apartment! Me and my boyfriend just moved in and have loved it.Besides his car getting broken intoStaff is nice and they have a gym, half basketball court and a mini movie theater!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I drove in from out of town to tour this apartment (an hour and a half away). Called ahead of time, said they would call back to schedule a tour for that day and never did. Their website says open until six. Got there at 5:30 and the lady wouldn’t let us in because they changed their hours and forgot to post new hours. She told us “you should of called us” and I told her we did and she shrugged her shoulders and closed the door on us. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Its a great place to call home.
I called a leasing agent and I had a specific questions on additional monthly charges - valet thrash, pest control, water, sewer etc., she just has one statement: it is paid by residents😀 even though I asked for her twice, is it $10, 20...?
Living here is like living at a resort! The amenities are wonderful and the staff is INCREDIBLE!
Bad Company they dont consider customer during towed the car. I was towed and my car had the sticker. I changed the plates a day later and they towed it and didnt leave a warning I didnt call them to update it because I changed the plate afternoon late. This is the worst bussisness
The ABSOLUTE worse complex. Terrible customer service. Terrible pool, always dirty. Parking always a issue. Residents WILL BE TOWED. No visitors EVER!!! Its ran like a paid incarcerated facility. Do NOT sign a lease there
You will get towed here!! Terrible customer service!! Do not recommend!!
I love living here!
Nice apartments, great price, and the staff is superb!
A really bad experience. Please do not move here. they charge you for everything.
My nephew live here just visiting them like this place
I love living in this community, the apartment is very cozy, the common areas are nice and clean. The best of all is the tranquility of the community and the view I have from my balcony.I highly recommend it.
After the change of management was made, the condo has fallen dramatically. It already came with parking problems and now with the renovations that have taken forever, they took more than 15 parking spaces from us. Their intentions are good but they lack operability and efficiency in the execution of the measures of the whole.
Very bad experience is a lousy condominium bad treatment of Latinos and they do not have parking spaces and since they changed the administration to much more declined
