After taking a tour of this property I wasn’t too convinced on it being a place to relocate my family. Although this property wasn’t exactly what I’m looking for I still had a pleasant and professional experience. Vic the leasing agent provided me with all the information I needed and answered all of my questions. He was helpful and had great customer service. I was also extremely impressed with the groundskeeper Justin. I didn’t realize he was an employee until he was the first person to greet me and welcome me onto the property. He was very polite and friendly as he directed me to the leasing office. So even though the property wasn’t a good fit for me and my family I had a good experience interacting with the staff and I will recommend this property to friends and family.

This place is AWFUL. Do not live here!!! The complex is dirty with old buildings that have been poorly maintained. The bathroom has mold which the complex just painted over making it impossible to clean! The office does not care about their residents as they do not respond to work orders. I have been without AC for over a week with several attempts of contacting the office with no success. This is a violation of the lease and is considered an emergency in the state of Texas!! There are holes in the walls and cracks in the doorways. There are roaches in the buildings, I have tried several ways of cleaning and exterminating the unit with no success because there’s that many!! There’s garbage everywhere all the time and the community is not at all welcoming!! Plants have been stolen directly from my private balcony/patio on two different occasions with the pots being broken and left in the grass. I have nothing but complaints about this horrible horrible complex!!!!
Why dont yall add more visitor parking near the exit gate inside the complex facing the orange fence? It would be very beneficial for your residents who have guest visit them. Instead of towing everyone.most ppl cant afford $300 to get their car back. I now i cant afford it . how would you feel if your car got towed for no good reason.?

DO NOT MOVE HERE. If I could rate them 0 stars I would. Buildings are painted new on the outside and rundown on the inside. Not enough visitor parking so you will never be able to have guests over after 4pm. Garbage everywhere and completely useless staff. Always takes more than a week to get any work done. Been waiting on my AC to be fixed for 8 days now and it’s been 95 degrees all week. They will most likely comment under this review apologizing and try defending themselves do not believe them. It will be the nicest they will ever try to seem, as soon as they have your lease locked in they will treat you like garbage. Cannot wait to move out
I come visit my friend that lives here and i’ve honestly seen so many improvements since she’s moved in last month. The community definitely looks cleaner and they are even fixing the parking, thank GOD!! Lol jk but keep up the good work. If I wasn’t trying to stack up on money by living with parents, I would definitely think about staying here.
I have never lived at these apartments but have been here frequently as a visitor, and my only concern is the parking lot, like it gets so flooded when it rains and theres so many pot holes, can yall please fix that? Also can yall provide a visitor section? Again no other concerns as I dont live nor have ever lived at the property just concerned about the parking lot. Thanks.
I have been here for 2 months now and the staff in the leasing office has addressed and solved all of my maintenance issues in a timely manner. You cant beat the price and I love my one bedroom here at Orbit.

First contact I was on the phone with a rep. I put my phone down for two seconds to say something to my brother, the rep hung up. Didnt mind, but it was off-putting. Sent in an application 2 weeks ago. Didnt hear back. Left voicemails, didnt hear back. Applied and got accepted to a different apartment in half this time. Out 200 dollars from the app fee. Thanks. Two stars, because maybe its a good place, but Ill never know.
I just recently moved here and Yadira Mejia made EVERYTHING EXTREMELY FAST AND EASY. Yadira is very professional and polite she takes time to listen to you and answer any questions you have. She is awesome and we need more people like her!

I am not sure why people are leaving 5-star reviews for Max and the management. I drove all the way from Houston to the Orbit apartment office before the storm and I had an extremely bad experience with not only Max but the management as well. Max lied about the prorated fees and my leasing contract. He no longer works here and I have to pay extra and possibly have to deal with the management for an entire year of my lease. This was not what I expected from the Orbit apartments based on their reviews. I wish Max would have told me the truth before I was forced to make a decision based on lies.

I just want to say a big thanks to Armondo the maintenance personnel at Orbit. He came out to fix my toilet and sink same day. He was very professional, he made sure to have a mask and gloves and practiced safe social distancing in my apartment. He even organized my cabinet back underneath the sink. This guy deserves a raise! Thank You so much!

Terrible, terrible and terrible! The apartments itself are not bad but the customer service experience is the worst! The “manager” Yadira Mejia that I find out isn’t even the manager is the worst! She is so rude and lies about everything! She offer me free stuff if I write a good review about her and reading all the others reviews I see she offers everyone the same. I’m not going to lie, she is so unprofessional! I can’t believe this company has kind of person working for them! If you read all the comments about her being “great” is a lied! All the comments are the same standard form which it makes me wonder if she writes them herself or offers “free stuff” to the other tenants to give her good review. She is making the apartments look so unprofessional! Also is unethical for her to be dating the maintenance guy while she is marry. I have seen them around the apartments hiding and doing inappropriate stuff, I don’t know his name but he is one of the maintenance stuff. Moving here has been a nightmare I can’t wait to move! If this company has people like Yadira is going to keep losing tenants! She lies and lies is all she does!!!

I’ve been living here for a while and when I apply the manager Yadira helped me a lot with the process.I have good neighbors and whenever I need maintenance for my apartment office staff are helpful and fast .
This place is terrible. There’s absolutely no respect. First, the manager is very rude and unprofessional. Going to the lease office is a pain. Although I have to say that the receptionist lady is very nice. Management is the real pain. For maintenance issues, you need to submit a request 2-3 times and also call or go in person so they can take care of it; otherwise they’ll never respond.The complex is kinda old so the wood floors are unfinished and bathtub is all plastic. All fake inside.Residents don’t respect. Trash everywhere and also broken glass all over the street. Parking is another nightmare. If it says reserved, people should understand, but gate is always broken. Safety is a 0%...I’m seriously afraid of my car. I had to make a police report once because I found some scratches on it.ADDING MORE: mailboxes are broken. People talking loud at night and smoking weed. I mean once again there’s no respect. Now I see why it’s “affordable”. They should make a deep inspection around the complex.
Do not move here unless you’re completely desperate. Bathroom had five things wrong with it as soon as I moved in and it took me asking four times to get anything done. Roaches everywhere, laundry moneycard system is incredibly annoying overall terrible experience and I still have 11 months here.
I’ve been a resident here at these apartments for the last 3 years. These apartments aren’t in the best part of town but they are fairly affordable so I don’t mind the location. You get what you pay for is all I will say. Under the Avesta management they were much better. My service requests were always tended to in a timely manner. The staff in the leasing office have always been nice and courteous. They would often host events for the residents as well. It was nice. Under the new management they are currently under I wish I could say the same. Maybe it’s because I’m about to move out but I’ve had service requests been overlooked and different staff in the leasing office not being knowledgeable of the procedures for various things.Also note the rent will always go up each year but I feel like that’s anywhere in Austin since the demand to live here is so high. I mean $800+ for a 475 sq ft apartment with rent going up $50-$100 each year. Take that as you will.I’m only moving because I’m about to leave TX but I’d recommend if you’re trying to find an affordable place to live with an ideal location to all major highways that lead you everywhere else in the city. Please also know they have limited parking for visitors which become hot commodity after 9pm. And trying to park by your building without paying for a spot is difficult as well.Overall:Pros-1. price2. accessibility to highways3. friendly staffCons-1. parking2. crime rate in the area3. service requests take a while4. trash cans gets clutteredI’ve never had major problems here although there have been some fires and I did have a friend get their car stolen here once. Like I said the area is a little shady. All in all you get what you pay for and I’ve been satisfied as a resident here for the time being. I hope this review helps someone thinking about moving here.

Please don’t move in. I am a UT student that moved from out of state trying to find a cheap apartment near the city. This place is cheap but they add on a lot of things at the end of the month and suddenly you’re paying $900 instead of $700. They take your deposit no matter what. I even spent $250 to get the carpet cleaned before I moved out. The place was spotless. I can never get a hold of the office people. Multiple of my neighbors were evicted and deported. The walls are thin and it’s a scary unsafe place to live for a small girl like me. I was approached by strangers and yelled at for being white. People stare at you as you go into your apartment. I never felt safe. Please stay away from Avesta and get a roommate so you can move into a nicer place.
Quiet and clean area where I live in. The staff is friendly and are very good at answering any questions I have. Maintenance is fast but Ive only called them twice. Nothing major has needed any repair in my apartment so I must say the apartments are well kept. I like how there is security that make their rounds every now and then. Safety is a huge concern for me when looking for an apartment and I feel like they have done their job in making me feel secure.
Overall, Ive had a pleasant experience here. The staff is very nice, most of the time. Everyone has their bad days, but its nothing to bad. Rent is reasonable, as well as the allocated water bill. A good place to be if its your first apartment, and youre single. If you dont have a car, the commute to the bus stop is well within walking distance, so no problems there. Neighbors are pretty chill, so thats a plus. And they hold community events for the holidays, so its very family friendly as well. It has its ups and downs, but all in all, not a bad place to live.
Thrown out furniture for weeks outside. Trash every where. Loud music from 3 different families gathering outside almost every weekend. Kids play outside screaming like they got hurt till midnight almost every night. Downstairs neighbors dog barks almost every morning when owner leaves for about an hour.
Nice place but I wish their was a basketball court. Can u tell me if ur going to put one in the future.
My fiancee and I have been here about a month, and so far everything has been quite good. The apartment is pretty clean. Maintenance showed up quickly when I had a problem with the dishwasher not working. The manager Joanne is really nice and was helpful through the process of getting an apartment. The only thing I would like to see is security. There is no security that I have seen. I feel like that is a must for every apartment complex.
Best experience ever!!!I have had many apt experiences over my lifetime and I must say the management and superb customer care I have received from Avesta is head and shoulders above the rest. Many times I had questions or situations arise and the staff was always ready to answer any question and work with my situation. I would like to specifically thank Joanna for the help she provided with lease questions and really just anything Ive needed.Melissa the manager and Yadida are always pleasant when I call and have gone above and beyond in helping me with getting situated. The vision of Avesta is to Be the worlds most resident focused company and I can without a doubt state they are going above and beyond. I have lived at this complex for nearly five years. The price on the apartments is good. the maintenance staff work hard and do good work. The office staff are kind, professional and are definitely thorough. Unfortunately for Avesta it is that lingering legacy of what it was before Avesta took over as well as the neighborhoods reputation. The complex has a few issues that are minimal at best and not in anyway Avestas fault (although its obvious they work hard to fix it). the Rundberg area of Austin has a notorious reputation because of its safety issues, the complex does its best to keep the neighborhood safe this is a gated community with only access from i35 convenient for getting to/from work as well as secured access as that is the only way in/out (pin code locked gate).There is a cleanliness issue with the complex grounds but it is because of the RESIDENTS!! People throw their trash, cigarettes and other items on the ground and do not care about their own neighborhood. Every day i see multiple Avesta maintenance personnel picking up litter and cleaning up the grounds. There are some minor inconveniences you may experience for instance: visitor parking is limited to outside the gate in a specific section, This is so residents have sufficient parking as well as another safety measure. There is even security that patrols the ground yes it can be annoying that someone from security approaches you asking you what you are doing walking around at night time but that is a minor inconvenience at most.I have seen the changes this place has went through it has outright improved over the years from the reputation this area of Austin gets. The staff and complex are doing great. five stars to them. if i could rate my fellow residents they might get a 2 at best. Reality is this is a nice place to live at a great price, unfortunately the great price means your fellow neighbors will mistreat it, its very sad to see.
Avesta has been great! It was easy to apply online and the Management team is quit to respond to any requests. Ive been at the complex for 6 months and love it! Great job!!
Summary: You get what you pay for!The rent is quite cheap (my reason for renting here!) because this is in a crappy part of town. My deposit was only $150, so the fees are not too bad. I havent found anything for this price that wasnt in MUCH worse shape or in an even worse part of town.My unit was clean and looked okay when I moved in, but theres been a steady increase of roaches which doesnt seem to go away no matter how often I clean.The laundry center is hit or miss. Some of the washers dont work and the broken ones arent labeled. The trash and recycle bins are always overflowing and it makes the complex look trashy and unkempt.The maintenance has been very fast and nice, though Ive only called them twice since Ive been here.My favorite thing aside from the cheap rent is the office staff. Yadira the manager is always nice and willing to work with me if my rent is late. Shes not rude when this happens and it helps me feel less stressed about an already super stressful situation.I wish they would clean up the outside area a bit more! It would make a big difference!Overall, for the price I think its a good bargain just be realistic about what you are getting.
This place is horrible & they always catch on fire. The skinny manager over both properties is horrible and rude & she will take your money. The only way this apartment complex can get good reviews is if they bribe the residents. They advertise Write a good review and be entered into a raffle for 1 month of free rent. Dont buy into it. They are infested with roaches and bed bugs. I was visiting a friend and his neighbors visitor was shot and KILLED (a visitor!!!). I was also told that the apartment by the office was shot up by the neighbors. They have kids!!! and the apartments did nothing about it. Also the neighborhood is so bad they have a curfew. If your getting out of your car or taking out the trash they will tell you too go back inside.DO NOT MOVE HERE! I DIDNT.

I have lived in Avesta Solano Apartments since December of 2015, and I recently renewed for another 13 months. I have had no major problems since moving in. The office staff is always extremely polite and helpful, and I always look forward to interacting with them.My only criticisms are minor things... having an actual person answer maintenance calls as opposed to a machine would be nice, having some way to pick up packages after office hours would be helpful (for someone who works long hours like I do), and better/more comprehensive guest parking. Little things like that. No deal breakers, certainly.Upkeep and maintenance on the grounds and in the apartments themselves is consistent and thorough.If I werent planning on moving out of state after my lease expires in 2018, I can safely say I would renew a third time.Overall, my living experience has been very, very positive. And my rent is very reasonable, too.
Lived there for a year. Horrible front office staff, especially their assistant manager. She is very rude and talks bad about you in Spanish (she thought I did not know how to speak Spanish). The condition of the apartment was horrible as well. It constantly smelt bad, even if you cleaned the place like crazy. The AC unit looked like it was from the 70s and had to be constantly worked on. Trash was not a clean thing at all, they were usually over filled and left like that for weeks. The parking situation is a joke. The front gate was broken for a year at least (dont know if it still is or not). The pool is rarely cleaned and usually filled with urine. Last, for what that place is worth it is very over priced. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you are trying to find a good place to live, stay away from this dump.

Recently moved in to this apartment home. Love the place and the price, but mostly the people at the office!
I currently live here. From my point of view, the frontdesk has been great so far. Also, maintenance is quick and the maintenance guys are pretty nice. It was however kind of shady when I was just about to move in. The manner in which the price changes for the same unit within hours is ridiculous, and you dont get told all the facts at once. The manager which is a woman as of April/May 2016 (and until now ) is rude. She never seems to solve problems, she just want you to say whatever you want to say and get off quickly.The gym also closes when the leasing office closes, which is very unpractical for people who work for people who work perpetually during the day. You will never be able to use the gym. There should be a way to allow people use the gym in the after hours. This is a reason I would not consider renewing my lease and will go to any length to discourage anyone I know to get an apartment here.

I am not a resident I call the office and the office was rude.car was towed from their apartments 715pm at night I was only there 10 minutes to buy something from a resident and had to pay a $150 to get my car back from J and J towing when I call the resident the office they told me I was not a resident and they dont care basically and the lady was rude to me.. They dont have enough handicap parking and they dont have parking for non residents in the back they told me to park all the way up front and walked to where youre going Im sorry thats area is not a safe area to part so far away and walked to the very back.
Where to begin... This is the SINGLE WORST apartment complex I have EVER lived in. And that is saying something because I was robbed in my last complex. The complex is the dirtiest one you will find. Garbage is constantly overflowing from all the dumpsters. Or should I say the garbage that actually makes it there. The ground, sidewalk, and street are covered in trash. Especially in front of the buildings themselves. I used to see people picking up trash (when I first moved in 15 months ago) but that didnt last long.Make sure you get an apartment with W/D or at least W/D connections because you do not want to use the laundry facilities. The washers will randomly stop on you and leave you clothes sitting in a literal pool of water. Thats when they are actually functioning. The dryers never dry your clothes fully. I always have to hang clothes on a line on the patio to allow them to fully dry. But dont take my word for it. Just drive through the complex and see how many people on the weekends have there clothes on their patios. It isnt just me.The apartment itself couldve been a saving grace if it were properly taking care of by maintenance. I have had to call maintenance multiple times for the same problems. Something as simple as a shower handle that is meant to rotate should not need replacing twice a month. It has gotten to a point where we do not change the temp on our shower to hot or cold for fear that we will have our shower (or tub) run for up to an hour with no one to answer our calls. Talk about a water bill. But dont think they will help you out with that. They need all the money they can get to keep this crap hole a float. Another reoccurring problem we have is water leaking from our bathroom AC vent after our upstairs neighbor uses the bathroom. I have called more than once to have this resolved and only once has maintenance come out and looked in the upstairs apartment. Today I woke up to a PUDDLE of water coming from my bathroom into my bedroom. I only have 3 weeks left in this place so I am just going to keep a bucket under the vent until we move. This is what happens when they actually respond...I have had a leak come from the HVAC by my desk, mold growth on the ceiling of the bathroom due to the leaks, the plaster of shower has peeled, and now we have little friends running around despite the numerous pest control calls and have not gotten a single response to any of our requests. We went into the office to speak with the staff about these issues and were told to log these requests online so there would be record of them. I was assured they would be handled. This was months ago. When I went online to put in a request I saw that the requests were logged as completed. NO ONE CAME WHILE WE WERE HOME OR LEFT A RECEIPT OF COMPLETION AS THEY DO WHEN NO ONE IS HOME. Make sure you keep your own email records and have a lawyer on stand by in case because had we been smarter (or not so trusting) we wouldve been out of this lease long ago. IT IS INHABITABLE AT BEST! Well the deposit was only $150 (that shouldve been a red flag) so I guess that will go towards the little cleaning they do before people move in.Even being the cheapest apartments in the area, they still arent worth the money you will spend, the headaches you will get, and you WILL NOT want to invite ANYONE to come over because of the outer appearance alone. Reader I hope you do not make the same mistake we did. Spend an extra $1-200 a month and get something worth it. But experiencing is believing so GOOD LUCK!
Our water was randomly turned off with NO NOTICE on July 14. Weve tried called but no response, as per usual. Our neighbors dont have water either.Ridiculous!We havent had many problems until we had a leak. Even then, we only got an automated response. We got home to water coming out of our apartment and immediately called maintenance. Even though we called the emergency number, no one came out until the next day. And even then, we had to give the receptionist a call.Not having maintenance available 24/7 in case of emergency is not acceptable.
Honestly not a great place to live. The first apartment they showed me at their Solano complex was INFESTED with roaches. Like as soon as we walked in and opened the dishwasher the roaches came crawling out! Then we had to fight for them to put us in a new apartment suspiciously after they had told us We dont have anything else available right now they found something really quick though. Too bad this place... in the OTHER complex had roaches too... needless to say I found somewhere else to live.Edit: THIS PLACE WAS LITERALLY THE WORST, TRASH!! Then they put in these automated responses to the reviews.... Please for the sake of all that is good in the world, do not move here.
Previous management had me sure I was moving out at the end of my contract. The new management and crew made me change my mind. Theyve worked with me to make everything right. BTW, some of the bad reviews are of the other apts which are right next to each other but are managed by a different crew.
I live here. Ive had bed bugs twice and my water is completely turned off. I made a service request but I havent anything from them. The staff do not care and the maintenance workers will leave your door unlocked if they do a maintenance request. Do not live here.
Roaches. Hit and Runs to parked vehicles in the parking lot. Roaches. Tow Truck Company kick backs to mgmt. Roaches. Balcony not steady. Roaches. Dishwasher completely fell out the Wall on more than 1 occasion. Roaches.Only good thing is Im close to 35, 183, 290 for work. Seriously moving.
As a current Resident I highly recommend to do not rent any apartment from this complex. Weve been suffering from a lot problems. The management team is unprofessional and they take no actions toward residents problems. For instance, the parking is nightmare, a lot people have multiple stickers so always the parking lot is full and they have towed my car one because I parked in other complex apartments called avestq Solano (who is by the way their second property). Furthermore, I have problem with my ac system at my appartment and always Ive been telling them that the ac need to be replaced, all they do just add more freyon and abviousley there is a leak. So sometsome when the ac gas leaks out I stayed in my apartment without ac at the temp of 80 to 90 and we all know how the temp is in Texas!I ha e so many things I can tell about this complex app and how they manage badly their residents.
I will tell you you move in and you will regret it. It is a very old building. I will tell you something I had no problems until I ask for them to re touch the paint on my roof apt. After 3 month living in the apt the roof turn into yellow spots like if it had have roof problems with water I told them to do the repairs when I was at the apt. They did as they please, I wasnt at the apt at the time they came in. OMG. They maid a mess, they even painted my brand new tv, the table, the cable box, the bed sheet, the remote controls and white dust all over. They even left behind a can of white spry paint that their maintenance guy grab went I had him come in to see the mess they left.They had outsourced this company and I wasnt even at the apt to secure my stuff.I can go on and on with a lot more. I will say for sure I will be posting more. No respect on peoples property and not only that but I went to the complex manager about it and a week has gone by and they have not contacted me regarding this matter. I looks like no one cares. What a change of image from the time I came in.By the way I do have pictures of the mess and the damage they made. Plus a huge roach the brought that I had to kill.Now, I also have to give credit to the building maintenance crew, my AC went dead on me I call it on Friday at 4:25pm by 6:25 pm the same day my AC was freezing again just like I like it.You better think twice before you move in here.There is no security patrolling like they say there is ! No security what so ever !
As others have mentioned, staff customer service is terrible. Manager is impossible to get a hold of, and you are lucky if they answer their phones once after 5 calls. Worst service I have ever received by far.EDIT: Their response was nothing more than an automated copy and paste fill in. These guys NEVER returned my calls, or responded to any emails. I am having to take them to court to get my $500 deposit back, over 4 months later! Ridiculous.
First of I’d like to point out the lack of willing to help the resident. I was left outside my apartment (basically homeless because I had no place to stay and knew no one) because I had lost my apartment keys and they couldn’t wait 15-20min while I got an Uber and got to the office so they could let me into my apartment. I called them at 5:50 to let them know my situation and they closed at 6 and they told me maintenance couldn’t open my apartment for me and that they couldn’t wait those couple of minutes. When I told them I had no place to stay all they could say was I’m sorry nothing we can do. What kind of apartment does that, and knowing I had no where else to stay. I am paying for my apartment after all. Secosn the parking spots you are given the option to pay extra $50 a month for a “reserved” parking, but you don’t even get to pick a spot near your apartment so then what is the point of that! Horrible customer service by the office personal.
Its decent enough for the price. Its not the prettiest place but the helpful staff compensates enough. Price isnt outrageous, yet.
This is seriously the WORST apartment I have EVER lived in my entire life. I have had roaches since the very 1st day I moved in.. pest control has came so many times & still there are roaches. I barely have any furniture & keep my apartment clean & there are still roaches. Roaches in the kitchen, roaches in the bathroom, roaches in the living room, roaches in the bedroom, roaches in the closets. Like cmon! Pest control even told me that hes never had to come this many times & that the roaches arent coming from me. Besides the abnormal roach fest, everything is so cheap in the apartment, theres been a hole in my shower since day one, I called maintenance to come fix it & all he did was move the pieces around the hole to make it look closed(if you touch it it will fall through). My water in my bathroom smells like sewage, my kitchen drawers came off the hendges as soon as I opened them, my front door takes a hard pull to close, the door to my bedroom is lopsided and doesnt close all the way, the rod to close the blinds doesnt work, the ceiling in my shower started caving in.. once again maintenance came to fix it and all he did was plaster something over it and paint over it and the paint he used doesnt even match the original color. Whoever owns this place is a con artist that overcharges in rent and these bogus ass community fees for no reason. (Theres trash everywhere) The apartments are no where near as quality as the price. And dont get me started on the people who work in the office.. I have to call at least 3 times for a problem to get fixed and sometimes it still doesnt get done.. each time I talk to someone in there the answer changes.. one person says one thing and the other says something else.. get it together. It should be illegal for this complex to still be in business.. people have young children and babies with roaches crawling all over the place. There are even roaches in my oven. I pray that these apartments go out of business for the price you charge the residents to stay here. It should be against the health and safety codes for people to live here.
Staff was courteous, welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Offered cold drinks and snack bars..needless to say, my daughter is moving in!
Its very family oriented. They always make you feel like part of the team. Its an A+ admisphere .

They want to get all the money they can get the staff was nice except the manager she is rude and was drinking beer when i went to drop of my keys is that even allowed for a manager to get drunk at work!! I had put in a request for a rat in my apartment they never showed up until i had like one week to move out thats so unprofessional and dont let me get started on the tow truck they will tow your truck even if you where there 10 minutes to pick up something they will charge you 200 dollars just for one day not even a day. My walls started cracking and when i first moved in i had roaches and ants everywhere. Save youself some money and dont live here its awful.
DONT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT!I have lived in the United States for the past 15 years and lived in few different apartment complex, I have never experienced unprofessionalism and rascism at the same time. This’s the worst of the worst apartment complex there is. They profile you base your skin. It feels like you at Homeless center and your neighbors staring at you while you go into your apartment I mean stare all the way just because you black or white. They only wa t Spanish people I’m here. If you not Spanish please don’t rent here or you will regret it. I would rate them negative zero. The complex manager she would stare at you going into your apartment as well and she’s not professional what so ever. She is racist and bias she only help her community which is the Hispanic. If you are not Spanish please don’t bother. The security guard profile you base on your skin color thinking you black and you up to no good. I have been stopped by security guards I don’t know how times just because I’m black. One night I Goro to put my car window up next morning I found a lot of trash inside my vehicle.Complaining to the manager would be wasting your time, cause she won’t do nothing for you. For some reason I’m this apartment complex they think is located inside Mexico. This’s United States not Mexico.I had to buy cameras to put inside my car so I can feel my car is safe. Even tho they have security. The security is only here to for the black people no body else And you can’t come out of your apartment after 10pm, this not a jail or Camp.I been profile so many times based on my skin color. and the manager she don’t give a f because me and brother are Africans.All I did was being black. Is that a crime. I can’t even sit inside my car without someone thinking about to break inside their cars just because I’m black.
This place was a nightmare. The front office staff was nice, but this place is bad. No parking. None. I would come home from work at 10pm and have to sit in my car for 40 min waiting for a parking spot to open up. Guests can only park in the guest spots up front by the office. Every guest parking spot requires a guest parking pass witch you can only get at the office until 5:30pm m-sat. The tow company lives off of this place at $200 a pop. I had roaches the entire time I lived here, and bedbugs when I moved out. Everymorning there are beer bottles and trash everywhere in the grass and parking lot. Sidewalks covered with mud, dirty laundry rooms, and unsupervised children everywhere. Someone also shot someone else In the parking lot, and my ghetto neighbors also fired off a round in there apt One night. My pet deposit was $350 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. PLUS $15 a month in pet rent. When I moved out, my apartment was cleaned perfectly, but they still kept all of my depost. Also even tho out of my lease( at an extra $150 a month) they charged me for 8 more day after I did my move out at the office and handed over my keys and parking sticker. Got a letter today, they want another $390 and have already turned me over to a collection agency, without sending me anything in the mail about the balance. Do yourself a favor and keep driving....
Everything is clean and service from the mainance is fast but my only complaint is that I been robbed twice in a month and walls are to thin I can heard my neighbors moaning everytime they bang lol, its awkward sometimes I wake to the sound of moaning.
I think the office staff is awesome they are very helpful when I come in the office they always have a smile on their face and they give me good service
This place is worst than a horror movie. Maintenance will take days to show up to your apartment. The girls at the office will just lie to your face.
I cant believe the apartments will put up banners and try making it look nice living when in fact what needs attention is the families who lives here . ATTN owners of Avesta, fix the gate !! For crying out loud please please please fix the front gate . how many cars must be stolen ? How many times will the police not catch these thieves coming in here at night to vandalize what I own ?! Stupid security does one round and theyre gone .HORRIBLE APARTMENT TO LIVE IN . THEYLL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LET CROOKS STEAL ! AT YOUR EXPENSE! . . oh lets not forget the newest neighbors, ROACHES!! SOON AS CONTRACT IS DONE IM LEAVING ASAP !!

I have live here for 15 months and i just renew for another 15 months. They staff is extremly Nice and helpful Yadira and luz have great coustumer service and I apriciate it. I highly recommend muy comnunity.Best,Rolando Perez

Assistant manager here is a joke. Terrible service, decided to cancel my application after being approved 2 days before my move in date. If youre looking for a place to waste your time, this is it!EDIT: Months later, and like many other users have stated, they never respond to any forms of contact. Out of the dozens of apartments Ive lived at over the years, Ive never received worse service than this. Avoid at all costs.
I was unable to move in because there were live and dead roaches through out the apt. The management took over a week to try to rectify the situation but were still unsuccessful. It was the worst experience I ever head. This mistake cost me a lot of money. I would never want anyone to go thru what I had to go thru.
This place is nice, but the people that work here suck, I lived here for 14 years thinking it was gonna changed, I wanted to get out long time ago, rent keeps going up every year, and not by little, have to buy parking spots, I can not find a parking spot, but someone owns 3 spots in front of my unit, its laughable someone at the office made there money and Im there fool, had to buy car stickers, renters insurance, cut water off for 24-48 hrs 4 to 5 times per year and no one at the office seams to take responsibility, and so much more according to water bill, 60 days notice and the fool part keep me here, 😡😱
Moving here was my first apartment so there was Alot that i didnt know much about. I worked with Michelle in the office, made me feel very welcomed and gave me much information that was very detailed so i never had any questions. i am in the with the loft apartment that i moved into, its spaceous and it was very clean and i was able to move in a day after my application. I am very pleased so far.
Worst apartments I have lived in. They rented out the apartment that I had already put a deposit on to someone else and offered no compensation and they are putting me on the opposite side of the complex into an apartment that is covered in trash and graffiti. There is never any close parking, and will tow your visitors even if they come after office hours and are unable to get a visitors pass. The parking lot is always covered in trash, the neighbors are extremely loud at unreasonable hours. Car alarms are always going off. There are always cops in the complex dealing with some sort of riff raff. There are roaches in every building and they do not tell you this before you move in, I found several stuck under the new carpet and underneath layers of paint. The only good thing I have to say about the place is that maintenance is pretty quick about getting there, but half the time they dont even fix the problem. The people that work in the office are not helpful at all, I have no nice things to say about them. I do not recommend living here.

Keep looking. I got stuck in a long term lease that is up in 2 months (Thank God). This place is disgusting. Roaches, I consider myself a clean person but recently the roaches have become completley uncontrollable, and despite my complaints to the office nothing has been done. Ive tried treating my apartment with my own methods and they just keep getting worse. As far as any other maintenance needs you may have, I hope you speak Spanish, not once has someone who can actually explain an issue with me shown up to help. I am beyond through with this place. Save yourself alot of trouble and move along.

Do not move in to this place!!!! People that rate this place with 5 stars are CRAZY!! My husband worked for this company and he had to quit because of how crapy and nasty this company worked. The manager for this property will never be there!! Shes a ghost!Avesta capella was our first home. Worst experience ever. Before we moved in we checked out the apartment and even before we moved in roaches were all over the place. I talked to the manager and apparently they would do something about it on a (Tuesday) 3 4 and 5 months passed by and Tuesday never came around. The ROACHES WILL INCREASE no matter how much you clean. The fact that the apartments are right next to 35 if you are trying to go North on 35 you HAVE to make the 1 mile U turn. Trust me it gets pretty annoying after a while.After we moved out like 2 months later I received a call from a debt collector. Informing me that I owed $710.99 to Avesta capella. Fees for the water bill etc! Know that this was our first apartment we didnt know the process afterwards. Apparently they sent out a letter letting us know what we owed. Until this date I still have NOT received the DAMN letter/bill. Debt collector told me that I had 30 days to pay. My point is that they are very unprofessional and if you hate bugs or whatever. The roaches will crawl all over you. If you have a baby that starts to crawl this is not a place for a baby.
Dont live here. People are terrible. The management wont help and thats if they are ever in the building. Honestly if i had a choice i would leave and never come back.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! I repeat, DO NOT MOVE INTO AVESTA CAPELLA! This review is as of July 23, 2015. Management is shady and no one in the office will ever be able to help you. Not to mention, the manager (whos somehow a man and a woman depending on who you speak with which makes you wonder if they even exist) is never in and doesnt even have a number to be reached at.Ive had nothing but hell since moving in. First they didnt have my apartment ready on move-in day (I actually had to call APD for them to give me my keys). Then Ive had problem after problem with maintenance concerns (pest control mainly). Once maintenance even entered my apartment without informing me and left the apartment unlocked and unattended. After all of that, my lease is up in August and Ive been asking for a renewal form since June. I finally got the renewal form on JULY 20th and it states I have to give 60 day notice for vacating the apartment (but remember they only gave me the renewal form July 20th).Not to mention they refused to put a screen door on my patio door, they havent fixed the front gate in months and the security doesnt even do their job. They may make one trip around the complex and thats it.Lets also add that they have the worst parking rules an apartment can have. They claim its for safety but hasnt fixed the front gate since the near year started. The ENTIRE complex has to share maybe 15-20 visitor parking spaces. And please do let a friend or family member visit, Avesta has to have a deal with J&J Towing because theyre always trolling trying to tow someones car.Now about the laundry sites. There are two laundry sites in the complex, however for some reason the one of the back near my building is always closed. The front office staff have the keys to open it and just wont. Also, they installed new machines that now require a card (the card is $5 and only comes with $2 on it) WITHOUT informing residents. When asked why we werent informed the front office staff told me they didt know they had to inform us (-___-). Also, you can only get the cards in the front office. This means you can only get the card during business hours.Once again, DO NOT LIVE HERE. There are better options in Austin that are still affordable! Trust me! Im a recent graduate and I wanted to save money. Ive found way better options with the same rent prices or maybe a bit higher (but you get what you pay for). Dont make the same mistake.
