I had been working with an apartment locator for 2 weeks and applied at 5 different complexes, and got denied all 5 times, costing me over $1,700 In application fees. I had lost all hope. Everyone around me thought the same, and was warning me against what became the best decision I have ever made.Listen, this chick will GET you a house, no worries about that. But it will be a house you want and need and that is GOOD for you, not one of the 2 red flag properties I had been sighing over, that she gently but firmly guided me away from. If we hadnt researched these properties to death, I am not being hyperbolic when I say to you I could have been living right next to a train track, drug houses, amidst high potential flooding, wildfires, etc.When I saw a property I had longed for on Zillow came down by 10k in one day, she was Jess-on-the-spot and made sure we viewed it THAT night. She lives hecka far away from the property, but still was very on time and with it for me. We got my offer in the next day, and Im not kidding you, from day 1 to closing, everything was wrapped up and done in about 30 days!!!SO much about getting a home is having trust in your realtor. I could tell you horror stories about a dude at Chris Watters Realty that I dealt with. Jessica gifted me with a huge basket of goodies on closing day and STILL checks up on me 6 months later, as a FRIEND.Someone give this girl a raise!!! When I first called and spoke with an agent, I informed him that I will be moving to Austin in about two months. He told me that the prices can vary from month to month, which I completely understand, but he would send me a list of apartments that met what I was looking for. The list had a lot of great options, but the problem was getting more information on them.He was unable to give me details on pricing, availability, or if an apartment in the list had one additional amenity that I failed to mention before. Every response I got was that he would look into it, but he either never did or did not pass that information along to me. Even when I told him that my move in date unexpectedly moved up and I now had less than a month to move, I only got the false promise that he would be more diligent in the search. After a few more days of not getting a real response, I reached out to another apartment locating service, whom were able to find me a fantastic apartment within one day.

Marty apparently has not enough experience to at least all someone back.

It was advertised having a new roof with a long warranty. 6 months later, the new roof started leaking and all attempts to contact the contractor who provided the warranty have been ignored. They were obviously not a legitimate contractor. I now have to pay an actual licensed roofing company to replace the roof and repair the water damage in my home. I would be skeptical buying any other homes overseen by this reality company.ETA: A roofing contractor I hired said the broken part of the roof was obviously not up to code. The listing agent was the granddaughter of the people selling the home and coordinated all work done to the home (according to my neighbors who saw her often while the work was being done prior to the sale), so I would find it very difficult to believe she had no idea that corners were being cut. Right now the same former owners and agent are working on another house to sell across the street from mine and I hope they arent planning to again pass off shoddy work onto another unsuspecting buyer.
