My 90 year old Mom had a wonderful birthday present with an in-home visit from nail technician, Yaqina.She is delightful and did a wonderful job with the mani pedi especially on my mom’s neglected feet! She was so friendly and mom felt very pampered.She is a veteran and served in the Navy hospital corps so cleanliness and safety are paramount for her. She is vaccinated and wears a mask.An absolute delight and we will be using her again!

Second star was she was professional, flexible and communicative about making an appointment. Third star is that she was absolutely welcoming as I arrived for the appointment. Very quaint and cozy nail salon. Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable nail technician. I had a concern about gel polish staying on my nails beyond 2 days after getting them done. Yaqina assured me that she would be able to help me with my concern. It has been a week and my manicure is holding up. The quality of the service is well worth the price. Yaqina is the best. Natural looking gel nails using healthy products and none of the awful thick products that so many other places use down in Savannah. Pedicures are great also- she makes her own sugar scrubs.

I have been looking for a nail salon since moving to Savannah over five years ago. I have tried about 15 different salons and spas that do gel polish. Today I had my first gel manicure with YaqinaR. Wow! Best manicure in over five years. She gently (VERY gently) removed the old polish and prepped my nails. The resulting polish looks great. Included in the service, which she described as “just” a polish change, was a hand and arm massage with lotion and hot towels. She also offers a full manicure that includes a scrub, longer massage, and hot towels. Honestly, what she included for a polish change was a better and more complete service than the overpriced manicures I have had in spas. Her salon is in her home in a completely separate area with an entrance along the side of the house. The salon is very clean and she uses new files and nail buffers with each manicure.Today she has gained a loyal and repeat customer.Update, October 12, 2019So, I have been going to YaqinaR for about two months now. The manicures and pedicure that I have received have been consistently well done. The gel manicures have lasted between two and three weeks. The gel polish removal process that she uses is gentle and effective. I always feel valued as a customer. I would give her more than five stars if I could.Another update 11/21/2019: my nails have never been this healthy and strong. YaqinaR has a very gentle and effective technique for removing old gel polish and prepping my nails for new polish. If I could, I would give her ten stars!

This was the most personable nail appointment I have ever had. Unlike going to a nail salon, there’s no aweful smell (because she specializes in natural nails), you get a one-on-one interaction and treatment because it’s by appointment only and only one guest at a time and unlike nail salons where they want to get you in and out as soon as possible to get to the most people, Yaqina really takes her time and makes sure you are your most comfortable, you have the polish and design you want and you leave feeling refreshed. I felt like my appointment was tailor made just for me, because it was. That’s something you can’t get at a salon and I will never be going to a salon again. Yaqina is amazing!

First the drive out to yaqinas is beautiful ride. second yaqina has a relaxing spa like nail salon. yaqina also need does an excellent pedicure its the best my feet has ever had. My feet are still feeling smooth as the day yaqina did them my toenails are shining too Trust me people yaqina has a charming personally that will easily put you in relax mode during your appointment.

For me, getting a manicure is a special event. So special that I have only had a total of 4 manicures, 3 of which done by Yaqina, and including a visit to Yaqina as part of my vacation. This was done for 2 reasons; one being that Yaqina makes getting a manicure such an enjoyable experience, and two, Yaqina is so much fun to be with. Being in her nail studio is like visiting a friend. She makes you feel right at home, so welcomed. Her artistry with manicures is what I have always hoped for.
