Let me start by saying that I’ve never left a negative review at any business before but I’m very disappointed with “Sea Salt & Sugar”. This is a cute place and was very much looking forward to coming the first time (almost 2 years ago) but every time I’ve came, I never felt welcomed. Who cares about the atmosphere if the customer service is awful! After driving a pretty far distance, I walked out today before I even got my nails done. After a bad experience the last few times, I thought I’d give it another try but I’ll never be back. I’m tired of spending my money at a place that you’d except good service from, but instead receiving rude looks and an attitude. I’ve never been greeted with a smile and gentle welcome, it’s always “put a mask on” or just a dirty look like everyone there is better than you. Unacceptable & unprofessional! Today I was scolded by my “tech” saying that my 7 year old had to have a mask (which I had no problem with, I immediately put it on her) but then was told that she’s not even allowed in there unless she was receiving a service? Since when? I’ve brought her in there more than once and was never told that she wasn’t allowed. If that’s your policy, why isn’t it posted on the website? I’ve never heard of a salon not allowing children inside. This is actually discrimination, the way I’ve been treated every time I’ve spent my hard earned money at this establishment, including the time I brought my teenage daughter there for her birthday with a friend. I felt like I was looked down upon, the entire time. That’s how you treat your customers/guests? You’ve lost my business and I’ll make sure to let others know not to waste their time or money coming either.
Got a pedicure this morning for my birthday, first time coming to Sea Salt & Sugar! It was very clean and quiet, easy to relax! Emily did my pedicure, and she was friendly and so gentle! My toes look great! Ill definitely be back!
I visited Sea Salt and Sugar on a Friday afternoon after traveling all day with my daughter. I called ahead and the individual on the phone was super nice and even tho they didn’t have any availability she said she’d write me down as a possible. We arrived in beautiful Savannah and i decided to swing by the salon. Luckily, we were able to be seen! Bree was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain every step and answer every question that my 8-year old asked. I spent the pandemic practicing nail techniques on myself, and she truly helped what I’d done 😅. I even had the opportunity to purchase the nail color I got (it’s a ridiculously sparkly glitter). I’ll also add in that I was seated next to a guy that was having his first mani and I really liked how the nail pro took time and answered all of his questions. All in all, 10/10!
Ahhh.....a nail bar that doesn’t smell like all the others! Absolutely peaceful, gorgeous & clean environment to take time for yourself. Every detail is carefully crafted to ensure your safety is top priority. Love the handmade natural scrubs! Great place for friends to spend time catching up or checking out from the busy outside world. Would highly recommend!!
This is the full luxury experience and inexpensive too! Was curious about this place when they opened and fell in love with the 9-free gel polish brand they use. Staff is always friendly and relaxed making this place my go to.
I wish every pedicure experience was as luxurious and fabulous as the one I had at Sea Salt & Sugar. The staff is super friendly, yet very professional and everything they use is either natural or a more environmentally friendly version of the standards. ALL of their polishes are 7-free, which I dont know much about but appreciate that its better for me and/or the environment. Because the salon is free-focused, they wont apply a personal polish unless its also 7-free, but they do have a good selection of polish on hand. The space is like something out of Joanna Gaines look book - aka phenomenal, but the lighting of the polish box could use an upgrade: Im in my 30s yet still had to use a phone flashlight to see the color options. But that is really the only flaw of this fantastic shop. They have at least 6 or 7 pedi and mani stations, and could easily accommodate a group of girls, who would thank you for taking them here. Go! Youre welcome ; )
I had the pleasure of getting a manicure and pedicure done by Ina. She was pleasant to talk to, incredibly skilled, and had a very warm nature. I left with amazing nails and an even more amazing experience. I highly recommend Sea Salt & Sugar!
Had a very relaxing pedicure. Emily took good care of me!
I had an hour between appointments and thought I should treat myself to a pedi. Tish was my girl and she did amazing. Leah answered the phone when I called to schedule and she was very sweet and got my appointment set up quickly. The salon is very clean and relaxing. I will definitely be back and will recommend to all my friends.
First time visit to Sea Salt & Sugar and loved it. The space is beautiful and immaculate. I am very particular normally with the cleanliness of spas I will patron and have been even more cautious with the current pandemic conditions. I felt very safe with their covid procedures and would highly recommend. I will make this place my go to for each visit to Savannah. The pedicure was so relaxing and their sugar scrub is amazing! You can even purchase jars to take home. I am kicking myself because I forgot to grab some before I left.Alexis did an amazing job and would highly recommend her. She was very gentle and the massage was great.
My mom and I came in for manicures and pedicures and had an excellent experience! Amber and Emily took care of us and we both loved them! They were very relaxing and did a fabulous job on our nails. I personally had Emily and she gave me a great massage and didn’t make my feet feel too ticklish, which is something I normally hate about pedicures. My mom is picky and texted me during her service that this place was amazing. I also like the online booking option.Thank you!
I got my fabulous nails done today and it’s really great. Emily was my technician and she did a really good job. The lemongrass scrub smells amazing and relaxing. Strongly recommended this place for a stress relief day.
I visited Sea salt and sugar for the first time today and I am absolutely DELIGHTED. Not only is the salon itself absolutely fabulous, but so are the nail techs and salon coordinators. During these times of duress, the ladies here go above and beyond to make the environment friendly and safe. Jess the salon director is an absolute delight. She took the time to make everyone feel comfortable and familiar with the new salon protocol. I went in for a pedicure and had Amber as my nail tech! She was so kind and was very thorough! My nails look absolutely wonderful and beach ready. I have been to plenty of salons in the Savannah area over the years, but if you’re looking for a health conscious and responsible salon, this is the place for you. Thank you ladies for the wonderful experience!
I tried this place based on good reviews from a facebook group that Im in, and Im very glad I did! I loved the vibe, and Bree was so nice and did a fantastic job! I will definitely come back.
Very cute place! Was so attracted to the aesthetic and was so so excited about finally coming here for my birthday. The customer service was not great and not the most welcoming. Some things were left off of the person I came withs pedicure. My foot bath was lukewarm- cold by the end of the service. Overall, super instagram-able but I would stick to my normal nail place!
This is hands down the best nail salon in Savannah! From the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the selection of polish colors, to the kind and warm staff, the bright and caring manager and the quality of their services! I received the BEST gel mani from Bree. Lasted over a month! Longest ever! Thank you so much for the care you put in to your services and keeping your team and clients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic!
Im from out of town and so happy I came across this place! This place is a gem! All their products smell wonderful and many of the scrubs are lotions are made in house. The amenities like the neck warmers and rose wine are clutch! The technicians are extra friendly and do an excellent job. I wish they would open up a location near me!
Beautiful, relaxing environment. My nail tech was wonderful. Love the extras of the complimentary eye mask and lavender neck roll. Will definitely be back! Nice to finally have a healthy nail salon! The polish colors are great too.
I had a pedicure and Tish Gibson is amazing!!! She is very professional and so is the salon. Will definitely go back.
Always an amazing experience at Sea Salt and Sugar. Super clean, super beautiful, super relaxing. My favorite nail place of all time. I always leave feeling amazing. ❤️
I’ve never left a negative review of a business, but felt this was necessary based on my experience. I was very excited to get a toxin free pedicure at my favorite local nail salon this morning. As a breastfeeding mother of a newborn, I initially felt comfortable bringing her to my appointment because she wouldn’t be exposed to toxic chemicals. I approached the door and called the number to be let in for my appointment. Upon giving my name, I was greeted with and immediate “you need to put your mask on!” And “you can’t bring your baby in her without a mask on! And since baby’s can’t wear masks she can’t come in.” And repeatedly told me it wasn’t safe to bring her in. Ok. Aside from the media circus/political agenda that coronavirus and mask wearing is, I understand that businesses have to follow certain guidelines to remain open at this time. However my response was and will always be, as a mother and doctor, it is my decision where I take my child and to do what I believe is best for her (who was asleep and covered in her car seat where she would have remained for the duration of my appointment). Furthermore, infants aren’t required to wear masks wherever they go. I just no longer feel comfortable supporting businesses who use coronavirus as an excuse to be in a position of power. It’s fine, I won’t be back and will take my frequent business somewhere else.
No sandles provided but they did not tell me that ahead of time. No dryers for toes either. Stools for manicure are uncomfortable.
Bree is wonderful. She takes care of me. Shes professional and takes pride in her work.
I arrived for my appointment in which I had to call prior to entering. I called twice stood at the door and watched two people at the front look at me and run to the back. I would never return, very unprofessional.
The nail technicians really know their stuff! This is my favorite place for a pedicure. I havent tried the manicure yet, but its on my to do list
Beautiful shop! Everything was very clean & products smelled wonderful, but I was disappointed in the massage. It was a good duration, but even with prompting the pressure was minimal. For me the massage is one of the most important parts so for the price I was pretty disappointed.
Bree was phenomenal and very professional. Each tool is fresh out of a new package, so no need to wonder if the equipment is sterile or not. I definitely will be back.
Thank you Emily for the great relaxing pedicure. :) It also smells so wonderful in here and the atmosphere is calming
Amazing. The most relaxing & calm place to go. The best mani & pedi youll ever get. So go & enjoy, I cannot get enough of this place.
Very nice salon. Beautiful setup and clean. The technicians were friendly. Wish there was one near me
Very nice
New favorite place! Love the less-toxic approach, chic atmosphere, friendly staff and that my shellac manicure lasted more than two weeks :)
Clean, beautiful, peaceful. The staff is kind and great at what they do. Great service and atmosphere.
So glad Savannah has a nice, clean and friendly nail salon! Such a great staff and experience!!
I loved the safe and clean products and the atmosphere is so serene.
Best relaxing nail experience in Savannah!
Nice service
