Thanks to Mr. Kevin Mangus and Mr. Sean Hardy for getting all of the work orders I submitted for my apartment unit COMPLETED. These guys came right in and fixed EVERYTHING that needed to be fixed. They did not leave until it was ALL DONE CORRECTLY. Theyre both from different properties but came to this one and showed up and showed out.... Thanks Guys!!!! π πͺπΎ
All I can say is the two women in office now is definitely not the last manager and agent we had before them. I really miss Ms. Katherine and Onya...... These two NEVER answer the phone and actually be sitting right in front of the phone watching it ring. I know because I call and go to the office and NO ONE else is in the office but THEM TWO WOMEN. THEYRE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! CANT WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE IS UP.!!!!!! And the Maintenance team.OH BOY!!!! ITS SCARY
These apartments are horrible if I could give no stars I would the management is terrible they will not resolve any of your issues until you call corporate office. If youβre inquiring about this place please reconsider.Mice, spiders and etc they will send a company out to spray it gets worst . Tenets doesnβt stay thatβs how terrible Vert at Sixfork apartments are.
Vert at Six Forks has a very caring Apartment Manager. She helped the tenants during last weekends water shutdown from a car accident that damaged the waterline source. Kathryn, the Apartment Manager was on site in person on a Sunday, when she normally does not work the office, to personally hand out water to each tenant. Good job from an Apartment Manager !!!
I recently moved to Vert @ Six Forks, August 12, 2020. Within the first 3 days my apartment had flooded, granted 13 others did as well due to hurricane season, and then the following day my air conditioning unit went out. I tried to hold out hope, so I didnt let this run me off. They worked promptly and as diligently as possible to resolve all my issues, but there are too many problems occurring. These pictures added below are from this past weekend of October 25th, 2020. I had killed 15 spiders within 30 minutes. I called maintenance, but this was not considered an emergency and no one could get back to me until Monday. I had to stay in a Hotel until Tuesday, so the fumes and the pesticide could marinate into my apartment. I came back and there were OVER 30 dead spiders in my apartment, varying from my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, storage, and living room. I NEED to leave and they wont let me break my lease without the 60 day notice. They can keep my deposit, I just want to move. This has become a safety hazard for my emotional, physical, and mental health by being here. The only reason I gave it 2 Stars is because VERT is beautiful, the neighborhood is kind and community oriented, they are VERY pet friendly, the rent is affordable, each apartment comes with washer and dryers, and Katheryn Stenerson, the property manager is so helpful and a pleasant to talk to. She waived a lot of my fees due to their employee referral program, but that still does not outweigh all their internal issues that desperately needs to be addressed.
I lived in the vert for almost 2 years, and would have renewed if work hadnt transferred me. The kitchen upgrades in my loft were great. I only used the fireplace twice, but loved having it. The neighborhood is safe, friendly and for the most part quiet. There are several young children that play around the property and yes, they make some noise, but never after 7 pm as long as i lived there. If you have the chance, take a tour, worth living here.
I lived here for a year and it was a great experience. They have changed management the last year and looks like everything is getting remodeled like the gym in the community. Friendly staff and great maintenance. I recommend it !
The reasonable rent will suck you in, but you will end up paying an exorbitant amount with your electric bill each month. My bill for a one bedroom was over $150/month all winter! Also, it is never warm downstairs due to the poor insulation. I have to pay between $35-50/month for a water bill which is more than most homeowners pay.The cheap rent brings in bad tenants so being woken up to a car sitting outside blasting music at 2am or the neighbors arguing is becoming an everyday occurrence. They recently changed property managers and the new ones keep sending emails about rules we need to follow(no one does), but cant put bags in the dog waste stations so yeah, there is now dog poop everywhere from lazy dog owners. There are other apartment complexes that are newer, more modern and wont make you feel like youre living in the hood.Update (July 2019): The new management company is awful! My rent payment has been a different amount each month since they took over and I have no idea why. Maintenance requests can weeks to complete. The valet trash company they forced on us doesnt bother properly disposing of recycling; they throw everything away. Weve received notices that well be charged $30 for this service! This place just isnt worth what theyre charging for rent and utilities.
Big difference with new Management. They are always willing to help the residents and listen to our concerns and suggestions. In addition, very professional and friendly. Thank you for listening and for all you are doing to improve the community.
Amazing place to live! Apartments are beautiful and well maintained. Staff is freaking phenomenal! The women in the office are the best Iβve ever met yet and maintenance is on the ball! I plan to stay here for quite a while. Awesome location too.
I moved into Sterling Forest 2 months ago and have enjoyed living in such a quiet, quaint community. I am in the center of Raleigh, but in a country setting. When I moved in, I was scared to be on my own for the first time, but the office staff made me feel welcome and were very helpful. I couldnt have made a better choice than moving here, I have really enjoyed it. I would recommend Sterling Forest to anyone and even have one of my friends moving in this June. Perfect choice.
I was relocating to Raleigh from Virginia, So i called vert at six forks about getting a 1 bedroom apartment and Danielle answered the phone with a great greeting and smile she is so pleasant and the other staff is awesome as well. She told me what to do in order to get the application process done quickly, So I submitted my application that next day and the process only took 24 hours for me to hear back from them, I was approved quickly so I visited the site for a tour again Danielle showed me a model apartment and the site is really really nice Nice gym, clubhouse, and pool. She also had my lease typed up and sent to me very quickly, I signed everything and Im good to move in next month November. They were Very nice and the apartments are luxury like to me, I cant wait to move in.......Thank you leasing office for working with me quickly and being so friendly, MOVE HERE you will not regret it...
Living here has been a very frustrating experience. They worked with us to get us in on a short month lease that was good, but since then we havent had water in our kitchen sink for 5 days, the office staff was talking about residents personal information in open office space, no communication about pool closures. Overall...you should find another place to stay.
Ive had an okay-ish time while living here for almost a year. The first part of living here was good because of the constant communication from the office management and everything they had to offer. But this year has gone down hill ever since the new management took over...I dont have any communication with the office anymore - they mustve taken my email off the list because I dont hear from them anymore.About a few weeks ago they were fixing the middle of the complex, the roads were blocked off, I didnt receive a single email telling me of this. Nor were there any roads signs or warnings. I was very disappointed by the lack of communication about this. (However, my husband received an email about this a WEEK after they started.)Another recent issue, I had 2 leaks in the matter of 4 days. Yes, I had a dehumidifier given to me, yes they stopped the leak - but it was too late.I could splash a puddle in my carpet, so who knows how long the leak was going on for.Ive had to throw away a few of my items including a MOLDY wicker basket. I am currently pregnant, and living in this environment isnt good for me and my health. I contacted management and they basically said It happens. Theres nothing we can do.I honestly would NOT suggest living here - if you do, youll regret it.Youll have to deal with loud cars, barking dogs, no communication with the office staff, no respect, etc.
So Iβve lived here almost a year and while Iβve had an okay time, today was the last straw I could take. If you can help not living here then I would suggest staying away and hereβs why:Since the change of management itβs been extremely sloppy and the lack of communication with the community living here is unacceptable. Forget about knowing when your packages have arrived and you literally have to call the front office 3 times to get someone to pick up. And I know for a fact they do it on purpose because one employee was chatting with me while I was in the lobby and let the phone ring 3 consecutive times before saying βI guess I should answer that, theyβve called so many times it must be importantβ. Terrible attitude to have, and not to mention rude.Youβll have screaming neighbors, car break ins, and people pulling in at 2AM with their music blaring with no respect of their sleeping neighbors. Iβve already personally called the police twice for a late night car break in as well as on my neighbors who decided beating on the walls and then going outside to scream at each other was an appropriate activity. The electric bill is outrageous. In the summer youβll have your A/C on 76 and still be paying $120 and roasting upstairs or your heat on 63 in the winter and freeze to death and pay a minimum of $170. My highest bill was $206 and I am very conservative with my power usage while not at work, and itβs just outrageous overall. Having my A/C turned off for a whole billing cycle and only using a minimal amount of electricity, the bill was still $70, an improvement yes, but still ridiculous. No matter how much you beg management to find the energy draining culprit they always return and say βnothing is wrong, sorry!βAnd lastly, why you find me writing this review is my most recent maintenance request. My A/C is broken and I called for someone to take a look and fix it. Iβm at my home for a very brief time before I have to jump from one job to the other, and I come home late at night from said second job to debris all over my floor and shoes (took no time to move the rack 5 feet to one side or the other so he could access the unit), screws on the floor that me or my dog could have stepped on, a screwdriver on the floor and some other part also laying amiss on the floor. Now this is frustrating and all, but I then discover my blinds have been moved from my sliding glass door and itβs completely unlocked and you can see no one is home. I could have easily been robbed or harmed because Larry the maintanence man decided not to take the time to lock the door back before leaving. Unacceptable. I sent a long email to management to essentially get back βLarry is sorry and sorry about the screwβ. If yβall really think the screw on the floor (well mulptiple actually) was the biggest problem, then you really must not care about your tenants or their actual safety.Just. Donβt move here. Unfortunately I renewed my lease to save the trouble of moving, but when my lease is up next year I will not be renewing again unless some serious change occurs.
Recently moved in a few months ago and I love it! The staff is amazing, very professionaland goes above and beyond to help you with any issues. Also love the fitness center! Joe
Management changes every month and they arent helpful at all. The apartments are old and raggedy, especially for the price of rent you have to pay. Your light bill will be sky high if you dont choose to freeze instead of keeping warm. The only good thing about this complex is the location.
The old staff was great, the maintenance crew is wonderful. The office staff are the worst. When calling the receptionist is clueless, you get put on hold like three to four times. The office manager is nothing like the old staff. Sheβs not friendly Rude as ever. Before this place was a great place but now I wouldnβt recommend especially dealing with the rude lady in the front office.
Im in the unfortunate position of needing to update my former review. While the apartment itself is OK, and the location is good, the office staff is absolutely abysmal. They took over a little over 6 months ago, and my experiences with them have gone downhill since then. They do not answer the phone, and they do not forward or follow up on maintainance requests. The team of maintenance workers they have is the only bright spot. They are prompt, kind, extraordinarily helpful, and go out of their way to get your request taken care of.All in all, if youre looking for a hospitable office staff and a smooth experience, look somewhere else.
ProsCleanQuietMaintained grounds (except dog park, beware, many spiky seeds on ground, will hurt your dogs feet).Close to everything.consNO insulation and many drafty windows. Very high heating bill. Will try a space heater for each level next winter.I agree with another reviewer that upstairs is HOT HOT HOT.Because there are literally 2 vents for the upstairs, and one is partly jammed under the tiny bathroom door. Youll be cold sitting on the toilet, but sweating when you go back into the bedroom or even in front of the bathroom sink next door. The bathroom is so small you have to move your knees while on the toilet to shut the door. The other vent is on the FLOOR, so the cold air just sinks.Literally been waiting 4 months (March -July) to get a screen door installed. Multiple work orders. They were very fast to fix other things reported inside, though.Valet trash charge despite dumpsters on site.Never keep poop bag stations full.update: After 4 months of asking they installed the bent/broken screen door. It still does not close properly, it is out of alignment at the TOP. Rather than ordering a properly fitted door they just screwed on some magnetic clasp towards the top, which doesnt help the 1 inch gap along the top for insects to fly through. At first the door wouldnt close all the way, because of the bent frame, which I pointed out to them BEFORE it was installed but they dont care or dont want to order a new door. The door was left laying on my porch for weeks, thats how I saw it was bent.
I am truly amazed at the staff at Vert at Six Forks. They are quick to respond to any question you may have and also very friendly. The apartment complex is very quite and peaceful. I would recommend Vert at Six Forks to anyone.
Nice apartments, friendly people in the office
My brother and I like the town homes they have. Very cheap for the area.
The management and process here is extremely straight forward. A+
I just moved to Sterling Forest before the New Year and have very much enjoyed my stay so far! The location is amazing - theres lots of restaurants and grocery stores, which is extremely convenient.
Very outdated and not worth the rest. You can find a much better apartment for the same price or less. Make sure you do your research before moving in
Think very hard before deciding to move here. We have had nothing but issues since we moved in. The staff doesnt seem to care about all the money we have had to invest to make this place livable. The A.C. cant cool down upstairs so we had to get a window unit and thermal black out curtains just to be comfortable. Their unit is also extremely loud. It has woken me up every night since it started being this loud. The vents in the floors of the bathrooms (absolutely awful placement) have about an inch gap were the hole in the floor is exposed. There is only one smoke detector and its upstairs just past the stairway. This I find unacceptable since something plastic got left on the stove and the all of downstairs was filled with smoke but the detector never went off. The only reason I woke up was because of the smell. Theres no doorbell so its hard to hear someone knocking when upstairs. (We are in the townhome style) Their amenities are laughable at best with a small pool and tiny gym. The water heater is over the dryer so you have to reach under it to start it/change settings. The outlets in our bathrooms have never worked because of a wiring issue. The bathtub isnt on an incline so the water doesnt drain properly. Granted SOME of this can be fixed, but why wasnt it done before move in? It seems like it was a rush job to get the place ready and no one took the time/cared enough to fix the issues. Our baseboards in the kitchen are even different colors! (Brown and white. Not normal wear and tear) QUEEN BOX SPRINGS CANNOT MAKE IT UP THE STAIRS. (At least not in the 2 bedroom townhome) they blamed me for not paying attention to the layout. As if I could have had a box spring with me to see if it would make it. The only redeeming things is that its a quiet place to live, you dont have to go through the kitchen to get to the laundry area, theres a car washing station (you have to pay with quarters for the vacuum) and Jeff, the only maintenance man, is the best.Update 3/3/2019Still not very happy with this place. Theres new management which seemed promising at first but they asked us to take out our window unit because it makes them look bad. Maintenance asked if I could removed it while corporate was here and then put it back if we needed. It fell out of the window as we tried and its broken forever. Bye bye 150 I was forced to spend to be comfortable in my own home. I put in a simple maintenance request well over a week ago and havent heard back. It takes them many many days to respond to messages I leave at the front desk. I get that its probably quite a crazy transition with new management taking over... but this is ridiculous. Also a few weeks ago someone got their car window shot in and police were here asking everyone in our corner what happened at 12am. The police are called regularly around here the last few months. Most of my neighbors are so quiet I never hear them but some of them are so loud on a regular basis they get noise complaints constantly. None of this is The Verts fault, but still. Someone getting their window shot in makes me extremely nervous. Ready to move out of here asap!I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Overall I am very excited to live here
UPDATE: We have lived here 2 years now. At the original time of writing the review, what ultimately made us happy with the apartment was the management at the time. They were genuine and personable each time we had to talk to them. There was a value in community building, with the little contests and the monthly newsletters. When our rent was raised the first year, it was not an unreasonable amount. However, the apartment complex was recently acquired by Drucker and Falk. I, my significant other, and my neighbors have been unhappy with the experience so far. The transition from one management to the other has been very sloppy. They took over a month to set up online payments and therefore we were required to pay with check. My neighbor attempted to do so and later received a notice of unpaid rent - it turns out, they put the wrong apartment on the payment... Also, after being completely on time with rent and all utilities since we moved in, our rent had risen almost $100, to $930. Here are my issues with this: Our 600sq ft apartment was built in the 70s/80s and the building is in disrepair - carpenter bees have actually made their home within the siding of the building alongside roaches. The carpet is the same sickening beige color itβs had since the dawn of time, the bifold doors take force to open, the amenities are extremely unremarkable (extremely basic tiny gym, small pool, and office center not accessible unless someoneβs in the office). They receive your packages but take no effort to notify you of such (proven by 3 different packages). You can indeed hear your neighbors anytime they speak, open/close doors, run their sink. The area is not remarkable and you need a car for most things. Maintenance feels nonexistent. These things were not a huge issue a year ago, however raising the rent OVER the average value of similar apartments in the area is disingenuous. Anyone reading this, I suggest you keep searching as we will be...there are plenty of homes in Raleigh that are larger but of better value, have a stronger sense of community, are closer to places of interest, and are generally much more enjoyable to live in.
Very welcoming staff. Great place to live!
Horrible! Stay away! So many other places in Raleigh, donβt even waste your time!
Wonderful staff and exceptional management. You guys are awesome!
We have been living here for 4-5 months now, and so many problems have already surfaced. But the most important of them all is that we just recently found out our rent check bounced because we couldnt use the website like we normally do (weve never been late on rent, and we ALWAYS reach out if it will be late), and then get slapped with an EIGHTY DOLLAR LATE FEE -- that was 100% unnecessary, because the office manager apparently had no idea that the website was down.I really dont get how basic communication cant get passed from the office to the community in a timely manor, so issues like this DONT HAPPEN. Its irresponsible and incredibly frustrating how my money is being treated here. We have had multiple scuffles with the office over mundane matters, but none have been more enraging than this. I shouldnt have to be THIS WORRIED about where my money is going because of something as ridiculous as this.Overall, Im afraid of how well lived the rest of my lease will be. Its pretty sad.
Worst experience I have ever had with apartment living. I signed a 18 month lease and have had a complaint about pest the entire time. They have been in and out of my apartment but have not fixed the issues. This is a joke to them.
Worst apartment company ever! They removed my last review which I gave them a 3 but this time a one. Because they seem to try and hide the truth. Keep looking people.
Love it here!!!
