Moved here a bit more than a year ago and it has been a great experience. The location is great, cant get any closer to Lake Johnson. Proper parking space, tennis court and community pool. They continuously maintain and improve the community, and respond to repair orders in a timely manner.Totally recommend it!

What a welcoming place to live for new Raleigh residents! Perfect location near downtown Raleigh, Cary shopping, and right off a gorgeous lake. Staff is very friendly, repairs are almost instant, and the local trails are so easy to reach. Plus, you cant beat a monthly food truck stop basically right to your front door! Highly recommend.

Enjoyable place to live. I have been here for five months and have enjoyed every minute living here. The management staff are exquisite and very attuned to your needs, plus they have a variety of coffee and snacks in the office for any time you stop by (and they welcome you to do so). The pool just opened and I look forward to stopping by when i can. Thanks for making LJM a great place to live!

Moved here about two months ago and I have loved it! If we have had any issues, maintenance will be there asap to fix it. The people at the front office are super nice and helpful as well!

I love living at Lake Johnson Mews! The maintenance staff is very speedy and responsive and the area is kept up well. The location is perfect and I love being able to hop on the Lake Johnson walking trail in just a few minutes.

My husband and I love living here! Our move-in process was so smooth thanks to Jason. The maintenance staff is great too! I had an issue and it was taken care of within 48 hours. They were also very accommodating when it came to my infants sleeping schedule, and that means a lot!

We moved in 2 1/2 months ago and love it here! The community is super dog friendly which is a plus for us. Maintenance is awesome and responsive (usually out here the same day we put in a request) and the staff at the front office are always friendly and helpful. We also really enjoy being so close to the lake. Our neighbors are quiet and we love our apartment. The community is also a great location, not far from Cary or downtown Raleigh.

I moved here last July and Ive really enjoyed living here. The maintenance folks are exceptional. Ive only placed a couple requests but each time someone came by within 24 hours and everything was fixed the same or next day. The maintenance folks are really friendly too. I feel like both the office and maintenance staff have taken COVID seriously, and they always make sure to wear their masks. The complex is also very dog friendly and my dog has really enjoyed playing with other dogs at the bark park. Having Lake Johnson within walking distance is a great benefit too.

Ive lived here for a little over 2 months now, and Ive had a wonderful experience. The office staff were exceptionally receptive and communicative in the early stages of moving and have remained helpful throughout my time here, which is appreciated as a first-time renter. While many of the apartments show some light age, the maintenance staff is always ready to fix any issues that arise, and Ive never waited longer than a day for an issue to be fixed. The area is also beautiful, and access to the lake is a great perk.

I moved in a year and a half ago, and I really love it here. The apartment is very spacious for the cost, and I love having a window over my kitchen sink to look out. Theres plenty of kitchen counter space, and--honestly--you can always use the top of the washer/dryer if you need more. (Weve had a lot of success with a full kitchen and dumpling parties with 4-5 people working at once in the kitchen.)I have a walk-in closet. I never thought I would be a walk-in closet kind of person, but honestly, it has changed my life. The entire back shelf is just my crafts and a few overflow pantry items (yes, I do need 9 types of rice). Theres also a small pantry and lots of cabinet space, but I really take kitchen items and cooking to a weird level, so its nice to have that extra space for storage! Theres actually a lot of really thoughtful storage, including a mini-closet with a door in the bathroom and another closet in the hallway for the vacuum and things.Lake Johnson is within walking distance, and I dont need to tell you how wonderful that is. Theres even tennis courts and what appears to be kayak parking? Like a shelf where you can store and chain up your kayak? The pool is really nice in the summer, and its easy to find times when theres no one there. My friend and I distanced on benches at the dog park once, and everybody who brings their dogs is very friendly and considerate. If I had a dog, I would use that dog park all the time.The maintenance workers are so fast and friendly. They will call immediately if theres an emergency issue, and they are stringent using masks and following COVID protocol. They even wave if youre out walking around. The neighborhood really feels quiet and friendly.No place is ever perfect. My two complaints are that theres a noise from upstairs neighbors (but not next-door neighbors, interestingly), but I think thats just part of apartment living. BUT the neighbors are quiet and respectful all around, so it feels really comfortable living here, and the noise feels like a small thing.The apartment is a bit dark at certain times of day. We need additional lights for our plants, but if you bring your lamps (floor lamps suggested), its certainly the best place I have lived in Raleigh.

I have lived here for around 3 years and love it! Jason and Susanne and maintenance are always super helpful and I don’t think I’ve ever had a single thing to complain about!

This is my first apartment and I have had the best experience. The management is so nice and they answer every question you ask, fast too! The prices are so low for being on the lake and you get access to the greenway. There are really nice hammocks and tables outside to get some sun. The apartment is great and it comes with a washer and a dryer (no extra cost). If anything breaks (and I mean anything) they have an amazing Mai ten episodes crew and system that will get it done faster than you can believe. I honestly wish I could live here after I graduate ❤️

Lived here for 2 years and loved everything about it. The apartments are in great shape, incredible location being next to Lake Johnson and only 10 min from downtown, and friendly and quiet neighbors. Biggest thing for me was their maintenance department. They always responded same-day to any issues and have 24/7 maintenance for emergencies. I lost my keys and got locked out at 11pm one night, and a member of their team was on-site within 15 min to let me in. Great place to live. Highly recommend.

Ive lived at Lake Johnson Mews for the last three and a half years, and its been a consistently wonderful experience. The proximity to Lake Johnson is a huge plus for anyone who enjoys running, walking, kayaking, or picnicking. The complex itself is quiet and peaceful with a lot of mature trees, but youre only a short drive away from both downtown Raleigh and Cary. The responsiveness and efficiency of the maintenance staff is the best Ive ever experienced, and theyve gone above and beyond on numerous occasions. Highly recommend!

Best place to live! The office staff is fantastic. We have been living here for 2 years and have had a fantastic experience. It is so nice being so close to the lake where we can just walk down and enjoy a sunny afternoon walk. I do not have to deal with a lot of the city sounds despite being so close to school. Recommend the stay 5/5!

While visiting my daughter who lives in Lake Johnson Mews, she had an issue with the toilet (tank wasnt filling up after flushing) in her apartment. She opened a request and within a couple of hours, a pair of nice gentlemen showed up and quickly (within 10 minutes) fixed the problem by replacing the pump. Glad to see she is living at a place where tenants are treated well.

Great location in proximity to Lake Johnson and the trails. I havent had any maintenance delays or other problems and the building is quiet.

My boyfriend and I have been living here for six months now and it has been a great experience so far. The management is by the far the best I have ever worked with, move in was smooth and neighbors are quiet. Haven’t had experience with maintenance thus far but they are very communicative with renovations or work taking place outside.

I’ve been living here for going on 6 months and I absolutely love this complex. We live near a beautiful lake with a trail to explore nature while getting some exercise. The staff in the office and the maintenance crew are all extremely polite and very attentive to any questions or concerns you bring to them. The office is always finding ways for residents to get together and fellowship as well as fun ways to take off money for rent with fun activities. Lake Johnson Mews has so much to offer their residents and I am happy to be part of this community.

Do you enjoy living next a large lake that has trails, kayaks, and a beautiful atmosphere? I do, which is why I picked this fantastic community to call home. My pup has a lot of fun running around by the lake. The staff is fantastic, always very attentive to my needs. Maintenance is great. Its just a wonderful place to live.

There are a number of things that have greatly impressed me about living at Lake Johnson Mews:1. The leasing office staff are extremely nice and helpful; without the corporate feel of most apartment complexes.2. Maintenance requests are received/completed with haste.3. Signing the lease online and having the option to pay rent online is awesome and convenient.4. They pick up your trash & recycling at your door. Amazing.5. Units/buildings/landscape/tennis court/pool are very well taken care of and manicured.6. Location location location = super dope.7. High ceilings and wood burning fire places inside!!!8. Complex has its own dog park (Bark Park)!I could go on. No complaints as everything about moving in and living here has been seamless. Very, very pleased and wont be moving out unless I have to.

Location is great as I can get anywhere I want in Raleigh in under 20 minutes. There is also a lake nearby with a great trail to run or walk on. Pool area is great during the summertime. Apartments are a nice size with everything I need, including washer/dryer.Also, you cant beat the affordability, especially considering how expensive some apartments are inside of highway 440.

I have lived here for over 5 years. Its a bit pricey, but being next to the lake is awesome and maintenance is always very quick to fix any problems that come up.

I have lived at Lake Johnson Mews for over a year now and have been extremely happy. I love that the apartment feels homey, unlike the typical newly built apartments in Raleigh. Living right next to the dog park and Lake Johnson trail is very convenient for me and because of that I have gotten to know a lot of other dog owners at the apartment complex. My only complaint would be that some of the appliances could use updating; they’re just a little outdated.Pros: homey apartments, plenty of parking (no permit needed), very little noise heard from neighbor apartments, HUGE closets (seriously, I have a desk in mine), dog park, maintenance crew is very responsive to service requestsCons: appliances could use an update

The staff and apartments here are excellent. The location makes me very happy. Im able to walk down to the lake, which is worth the price alone. Theres a tennis court and a pool, which I love. The staff have always been super awesome, and do little events and gatherings which are nice to have. Id recommend this area to anyone.

This is a great place to live. It is great for small children as well. Very quiet and very clean. The location is also awesome! It is convenient to shopping centers, restaurants, NC State and down town. We have been very satisfied with any minor maintenance issues as they have been resolved with in 24 hrs and the staff are all very kind.

My fiance and I moved in earlier this month. Courtney was an amazing help and answered all our questions before and after we moved in. One of our main concerns was about finding the right place for our dogs. We ultimately chose LJM, because its so close to the lake, has plenty of places to eat nearby, and the staff seem really helpful. Some negatives are that the apartments are a little older, so there are drafts from the doors and windows, and the dog park is pretty muddy, so we cant take the dogs there unless we want to give them baths afterward (did I mention theyre both close to 100lbs). Positives include the friendliness of the neighbors and the population of dogs (the more the merrier). Overall, were happy with our decision!

This place is great. By far the best apartment complex that Ive ever lived in. It is on the lake, which is great. Very dog-friendly. The best part is that the front office has GREAT customer service. Ill update my review if there are any difficulties during the move-out process.

Ive lived here almost a year and absolutely love my neighbors and the management/maintenance staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Lake Johnson is adjacent to the property and provides a nice, relaxing place to walk after a long day at work. The community is pet friendly and my dog Parker loves the newly updated bark park. You definitely get more bang for your buck here and the location is ideal.

I have moved 4 times in the past 5 years and we have finally found a home at Lake Johnson Mews. We just signed a least to stay here another year and are very excited! The access to the lake is wonderful as is our apartment. We plan to stay here for years while saving up to buy a house. Everyone we have met here including the staff at the office are very friendly. I honestly couldnt be happier with our experience here.

Quiet. Convenient location. Lake Johnson with all it offers (SUP, Kayak, Sailing, Yoga classes!) is my back yard. Maintenance staff are friendly, attentive, available - you see them out and about everyday. Leasing staff are responsive, helpful and professional. My experience has been that any concerns are handled asap.

I have been a resident at Lake Johnson Mews for about two years now and have had a wonderful experience. The office staff is very kind and always happy to take time to speak with you regarding any questions you have.The maintenance staff is fantastic, as well, and always very timely when you put in your requests. They are also respectful of your schedule. I have had only a small handful of issues over these two years (which in itself is great) and every time they were prompt in fixing them, often even beyond my expectations. This is certainly a pleasant surprise to me, as I have rented through a few other companies and have had horrible experiences in the past. They actually care about you and your living space and it definitely shows!I currently live in a one bedroom. The apartment interiors are nice, and the bedroom is spacious. In some models, the kitchen is a bit narrow, but there is a decent amount of counter space (if you do not have a whole lot of appliances). The outside is well maintained by the maintenance staff. Most of the residents here seem to range from young professionals/graduate students and older. It is a quiet place to live and there never seem to be loud parties, even on weekends. The neighbors are friendly as well.There is a nice dog park in the complex that is frequented by many different dogs each day. Though I dont have a dog, it seems like itd be a great dog park to go to, as there are almost always people and dogs there.The only downside (if you can even call it that) is there is no on-site workout space. With the complex being so close to Lake Johnson Park, however, there are walking/running trails (literally) in your backyard, as well as access to kayaking, boating, etc. during the main outdoor season. It is very easy to access the trails from the complex as there are a few pathways through the trees, from the apartments to Lake Johnson. There is also a very nice pool area with two quality gas grills for residents to use. The pool area is clean and well maintained, and honestly is the nicest apartment complex pools Ive been to in general.Overall, I would absolutely recommend Lake Johnson Mews to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to live.

I lived here for 5 years, location is great and having access to the lake from my back door was awesome. The management and maintenance staff were always extremely helpful if I ever had a problem. I recommend living here to everyone!

I read a few of the 1 star reviews and didnt see where they were coming from. Ive only seen the best of treatment from the facilities here. The front desk people know us mutually by first name basis and are generally good, giving people. I suspect that the 1 star reviewers might have given the staff here a reason to treat them badly. It goes both ways you know!Other than the staff being courteous and responsive to our needs, the facilities themselves are well kept. The pool area is always clean when its open. The tennis courts are kept too, theres barely any wear and tear. Im pretty sure they repave it and paint it every couple years which shows a lot of effort in the details of property management on their part.

Lake Johnson Mews is a great place to live. The location next to Lake Johnson cant be beat. Its a quiet place and the staff are friendly. And the pool is a great escape from the heat in the summer!

The location is a superlative alone due to its proximity to Lake Johnson, downtown, or State. My GF works at State so it has been perfect for us whilst it takes me about 20 mins without traffic to get to my office near airport. Apartments are quiet and fellow residents are friendly. Great respect for management after going out of their way to assist us through an issue within the first 6 months of residence. Could do with a gym, but the reasonable cost probably reflects that. We have been here a year now and are immensely happy with the complex.

The staff here is the best! You can tell that they really care about their residents and go the extra mile to make sure you love your apartment.

Staff is so friendly and the lake is AMAZING

They are quick to take your money for application fees and to hold an apartment but slow to give the money back if your application gets denied. Forget about getting a reason for denial other than a callous and minimally worded email. Be warned! We had to call at least four times before we finally got a response. The first time they said it was in the mail and should be there in a few days. The next time we called they said it can take up to 30 days. Day 27 and we still have yet to receive our deposit back! They have a few more days before we will be taking legal action as they are almost at the allowed 30 day mark. So glad we found a better place I would suggest you to look else where!

Lake johnson mews apts. pool is closed 50 percent of the time. i am filing to end my lease because they do not have the know how nor ability to maintain their pool . god forbid they should have to spend enough money to hire a professional. i am a chemist with multiple degrees and if they cant maintain a swimming pool they need to hire some one who can. yes, i AM PISSED . i have to do my job, do yours.best,ron manross4227 avent ferry rdapt 1raleigh, nc 27606

Zero starts for meintenance. Six requests and a threat to move out in order to get the heat pump fixed. This was within the first two weeks of moving in. Issues continued throughout the time I lived there and I always felt hassled when I asked for assistance.
