The lack of empathy from the office staff for those who lost their jobs (for whatever reason) is very disturbing and God help if you have an emergency situation that causes you to be past due, they make it impossible for you to get caught up. They were great when I first moved here 3 months ago. Jalessa was the BOMB! She was so sweet and never had any issues with her but the new management is poor in handling their residents.
I have lived here for many years. Anthony, on the Maintenance crew, is so helpful. He gets my apt. Issues solved quickly and is very kind when he teaches me how to fix some issues myself! It’s a comfort to know he is here to help :)
Home Sweet Apartment!When my husband and I started looking for an apartment we were looking for an apartment in the middle of our commutes. From the moment we toured the complex, I was sold. The office staff was so personable and willing to answer any and all questions that I had. The assistant manager Shunica was our main point of contact! She’s the best! She answered all the questions I had in the beginning, made our application process as seamless as could be, and move in day the best! We’ve been here for 2 months now and I couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home! The team is just as terrific everyday as they were from the first tour! So if you’re looking for the perfect place to live, look no further!
Recently moved in and so far love being here. The office staff is super friendly and very helpful. The neighbors alsob seem to be very friendly and the quiet in hallways is amazing.Our apartment is by the pool area and surprisingly quiet,, even when there are kids playing in it and people having BBQs.They have responded to all my requests asap. The maintenance staff, particularly Julio has been so helpful and has answered all my urgent reqest. Think Im going to like living here.
From the tour, to move in day, everything was easy. All of my questions were answered through emails, or through phone calls prior to moving in. Jaleassa was especially helpful, and was attentive to every single detail. On move in day, my apartment was clean, accessible, and ready for me to settle in to make a new home. Wow where do I start! First let me say how beautiful these apartments are and how clean the property looks. The new manager Juluis is amazing and get things done right away! All the leasing agents were very kind, friendly, and helpful at all times! I would recommend this property and give 10 stars if I could! I have toured approximately 20 other communities in the Raleigh area all around 40, 440, and 540 including Cary and Knightdale over the past month. Out of those 20, nothing comes close to Level at 401 in terms of value for the quality apartments they offer and price per square foot, including their amenities package. This is also one if the cleanest properties I have seen. The entire team at Level at 401 go above and beyond to make sure you find the perfect home. I would like to give a shout out to Shunica and Alexandra for being patient with me while showing me all the floor plans I requested to see. Shunica was especially patient in showing me a number of apartments across multiple visits to the community. Dont waste weeks looking at other places like I did and put Level at 401 on the top of your list!
Great place to live this past year with LO. Just moved out. Isolated events that could happen anywhere. That aside, the leasing office, Ilene and Shunica were amazing and always prompt to responses. Very clean and welcoming apartment.No bugs( big for me). Enjoyed the washer and dryer in unit, necessary for me and little one. Great location off the 540, and you hear no passing traffic.
The lack of sympathy for those who lost their jobs due to COVID and the lack of options provided by those who work at Level at 401 is quite sad and ridiculous. They are not flexible and didnt try to understand the position of those heavily effected by COVID. Also the apartment complex is marketed as luxury but based on the amenities, residents and customer service. Idk where the luxury was. Our air conditioning unit had to be fixed 4 times in a row due to the fact that the apartment complex was just thrown together and that was said by one of the maintenance people! That truly says a lot.
Level at 401 is a great place to live! The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The amenities are also wonderful! Every once in a while a food truck stops by and the food never disappoints. At the end of the day you can tell that the staff really cares about its residents and the property. Highly recommend Level at 401 to anyone looking for an apartment!
I have lived here about a month now and I love it. My experience moving in was flawless thanks to Kent. He was very easy to work with in the office to find the apartment that I wanted, to get moved in quickly and checking in to ensure I was happy with my place once I moved in. Kent has answered in questions I had or addressed any concerns that arose too. I love the safe feeling the building gives me, having to badge or be buzzed in, the elevators are extremely helpful too. My kids love the hotel feel once you are inside the building, the air conditioned hallways are an added bonus. Cable/Internet/Valet trash all included too, love these amenities, as well as the gym and pool! Highly recommend living here, in fact I have recommended several friends to move here, and to work with Kent. Kent is the best!!

The Level at 401 is a consistently clean and beautiful 21st century apartment community! Some of my favorite features include: secure building access, valet trash service, online resident tools, and excellent customer service from the property management team! I recommend living here.
I just moved into this place with my wife and son we love it here. I have only been here for 5 days the properly is nice and quiet we sleep good at nights and love the cable package too. I recommend this place to everyone and their families we are located close to malls and restaurants, movie theaters. Its the prefect location and price I have told all my friends and families about this place and their are coming to apply soon.

Big apartments, huge closets and bathrooms. Pretty on the inside, but quality of construction isnt the greatest (unfinished kitchen island). This apartment has some great qualities, but honestly not worth it when it comes to dealing with the property manager. I wasnt fond of the previous manager, Jody, but the current manager Michelle, really missed the mark on providing professionalism and customer service when it came to handling our issue with BLACK MOLD in our apartment. The maintenance team did a great job of handling the issues on their end, but when it came to the manager on the office end, we were treated rudely and felt as if we were bothering her when it came to ensuring that our apartment met our health concerns. Until this, I really enjoyed living at the Flats but after this experience we are definitely not renewing lease when it ends in October.
I would not recommend this place at all the first day I moved into my apartment I had problems with bugs. The stove has stains on it due to them not wanting to replace it. My stink has brown spots under my cabinets due to water linking.. smell of marijuana when I walk my dog is around my area. I will definitely not be renewing my lease when it is up in sept and the price is too high for what we get in return.
This place is pretty average, the staff in the leasing office is always super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, my main complaint is the pricing, it’s very expensive and there are a lot of fees that are kind of hidden, like the pay online portal charged me $30 to have a payment processed because no one told me I could use an echeck. The pool is nice, the hallways and parking lots are always kept clean, I just think the price is a little much, especially for the area
Only lived in the apartment for a month, had to leave due to asthma constantly flaring up from others smoking. Although it looks appealing, apartment constantly rinks of weed. Neighbors dont pick up after dogs and walls are paper thin, floors etc. Constant ( this is a smoke free) emails sent, but the people smoke freely, in the halls. (Witnessed multiple times)Pros: close to everything (triangle town center etc) close to 540 loop.
Simply a great place to live! The office staff is nice, knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive to my needs. There has not been a time when I wasnt greeted with a smile and treated kind heartedly. I have been living here for nearly 3 years and have experienced nothing but peace and tranquility during that time. Again a great place to live.

My sister and I toured this complex this past weekend and our experience was awesome!!Jacqueline, our tour guide could not have been more friendly or helpful and we had a great time checking out the complex!! Jaqueline made sure to answer all of our questions and showed us multiple floor plan models and was very thorough when explaining the differences to us to make our search as easy as possible. We will definitely be back to see Jacqueline if we decide to lease!
There needs to be an option for zero stars! If only I could write in 3 words my experience with Level at 401 from start to what Im hoping is coming to an end. I am highly disgusted with this place and would not recommend anyone move here at all!!!! Not worth your money and every inconvenience on their behalf they expect you to pay for!!! Im not one to write bad reviews but they have been giving me the worst experience ever!!! Ive been nothing but a cooperating resident and all I want is a functional apartment and compensation that makes sense for all the everlasting issues! They sell you a good one until you actually become a resident here. If you looking for what your paying for Level at 401 is not it!

This is my first apartment after moving out of the parents house. Kent and Quadarius where both very great to work with, answered all my questions I had being a first time apartment renter. Maintance fixed all the issues the last renter had left. Glad I can call this place home. Keep up the great work guys!
I called in regarding an apartment and I got immediately turned off at the beginning of the call because the lady was rude . She sounded very unprofessional and un interested in providing me information . I called today dec 23 2019 around 11:30 am . Very poor customer service and rediculous fees . I asked questions regarding approval and she was like if u are denied you don’t get the apartment in a rude way. I’ll pass on this property because of the bad vibes .and I will be seeking corporates number to report her. If u hate ur job go work somewhere else !
My bestfriend & I have been looking for a place to call home! We decided to visit Level at 401 & Kent was a great help! He was very informative, nice, friendly, & honest. He took us on a tour (in the rain) with a smile & never complained. Needless to say my bestfriend & I applied as soon as we completed our tour. We are happy to say we found our new home at Level at 401 and would recommend it to anybody who is looking. Great place and friendly staff. Thanks for all your help Kent!

Leasing agent SPENCER is great, he helped my family and I tremendously throughout our stay. The leasing office manager is an older Caucasian lady and is extremely rude and wants to charge for every last little thing!The apartment and complex is amazing ! You truly get what pay for. Location and upgraded luxury!
Pretty much a dump. Looks nice, but its very ghetto. It always smells of weed, which isnt bad if it keeps people calm.
The place is ok but lot of noise around. The dogs barking always and you may step on the dogs waste. The building was constructed by turning the dryer vent on the patio in most of the units. You end up having whatever comes out of the vent on your body or in food when you spend time on the patio. At the end, do not think that the rent is cheap. At the end of the lease you will be charged with a huge bill. Be careful!
This is to be a smoke free apartment complex. However all you smell is marijuana every day you come home. I just found out someone was shot here not to long ago. They have the nerves to charge you for breaking your lease. I am moving due to the frequent marijuana smoke. Last time I looked at the least it stated smoke free apartment so am I really breaking my lease the don’t even hold up to the terms in their own lease! Good luck wish I read the reviews before I moved in! Maybe under the so called new management it will improve even though they see so nonchalant.Pros nice size apartments

I have not even moved into these apartments yet and every step of the leasing process has been an issue. These apartments were not my first choice but due to other apartments not having availability when we needed to move we went with these. First issue was that someone was supposed to contact us after we looked, leased and paid application fee. No one did and I ended up having to call first because fee needed to be paid by certain date or they would not hold apartment for us. Then someone was supposed to send me an email so I could reply with income verification documents. 3 calls later the email was finally sent. Then new lease was supposed to be emailed to review and sign, multiple phone calls later we finally received it and it was still not accurate and didnt include things promises to us during our office visit. Now I am attempting to pay all fees they said have to be paid before we can move in, but whoever setup our account did that wrong (I know SHOCKER) because the fees are not showing as payable on our account so it will not let me pay them unless I pay with their website which includes a $34 fee. So now in the days right before our move, we are already stressed about physically moving but we have to take time to go to Walmart and pay this fee after Im sure what will be another round of phone tag. For anyone considering these apartments, I cannot speak for how they are once you move in but I can say the leasing process has already made what was a stressful time 10x more stressful and starting to regret leasing here before I have even moved in.

I am moving here. Kent was very helpful in my searching. I found exactly what I was looking for.
A few reasons why I gave a 1 star. 1.After paying $375 for the app. & admin. fees & a $500 approval fee (FYI, approval fee is not a security deposit) & 1st month’s rent, we picked up the keys & were so excited to come check out our apt only to find it dirty & broken! Couldn’t even start moving small items in that day nor put plastic on the carpets before the movers came the next day. 2.Patio door was actually broken open, maint. didn’t even show up until the next day to “attempt” to fix it by taking a hammer & destroying the metal plate under the door & calling it fixed, because he said “it shuts” as he kept forcefully slamming it. 3.Carpet was NOT clean. It was dirty, stained & full of dog hair & when I say full of dog hair I mean everywhere. Where the baseboards meet the carpet, it was just black & caked with hair. 4.Opened the door to the A/C-water heater unit, I couldn’t even see the floor because it was covered in dog hair. I removed the lint trap from the dryer, I was shocked that it had never caught on fire with all of the dog hair & lint built up. Just those two areas filled up my vacuum container. 5.All of the appliances in the apt are the basic, old, bulk bought apt appliances. I’m 99.9% positive NONE of the appliances are energy efficient. 6.We don’t wear shoes in our home, but clearly that doesn’t matter to any of the staff here because I have tried over & over to tell all of them that when they come in, to please wear the clean shoe covers I provide. 7.There was yellow insulation hanging out of most of the air vents, I had to remove the stuff myself. 8.We have had nothing but issues with almost everything, dirty, broken apt, dryer leaking water (yes, it was leaking water) & after 2 maint. guys came to look at it & did nothing but make excuses & tried to tell me it was my fault, I finally Googled it & told them what the problem was. 9.When the A/C froze up, they tried for two days to “fix” it, thankfully they finally called the A/C Contractors out to replace & fix it. 10.I have asked so many times for them to seal the patio door properly because watching bugs crawl in from the top & bottom of the door is just wrong. Even after the maint. supervisor & the head pm came on June 5th & told me they could do a temp seal & put a door sweep at the bottom (I was told they couldn’t replace the metal plate that the other maint. guy destroyed), I said that would be better than nothing. Well I’m still waiting on that. 11.I didn’t spend all of that money, including $1300.00 for movers, just to move from one nightmare complex to this. At this point all I can continue to do is hope nothing else goes wrong in this apt because I don’t trust any of the maint. guys or the head pm, not at all. As far as this community being “luxury”, in my opinion absolutely not. I’m paying a lot of money just for the word “luxury” but not getting even close to what I’m paying for. 12.On the UPSIDE of living here, I do have to say I absolutely love all of the handicap accessible features inside & outside of the apt for my Son. We love all of our neighbors, they are so wonderful & always kind & respectful. The A/C Contractors were amazing, they came prepared, were professional, took pride in their work & knew exactly what they were doing. I appreciate the storage units being right outside my apt because after moving in, my depression, anger & stress went back up through the roof, so I decided to only unpack the necessary stuff & put the rest in storage because why unpack everything when you don’t want to renew your lease because of everything they have put you through. Food Lion across the street (bonus). Lastly, the only 3 Professional Property Managers that made us feel like we belonged here, that we even trusted & could rely on were Levida, Quadareas & Kent. 13.My last note, do not reply asking me to further discuss this in person, because I have already tried that & I’ve written you a letter along with photos & it has gotten me absolutely nowhere.

I would not recommend this apartment complex. The building I live in is completely ridiculous for the money that we have to pay. Constant fights, yelling and brawls outside, constant loud annoying music that is played on the first floor which I can hear all the way up on the fourth floor every single day at 6a in the morning like clockwork. I am highly disappointed because this was my first apartment that was interior and also is suppose to have security, but I have gotten more rest and quiet at cheaper apartments. There is never any parking and you always have to park far away just to get a space. I do not feel safe at night, there are people constantly coming in and out, the insulation is very poor, I can hear people conversations from the outside. The police come to this complex so often that when you call 911 they already know what you are calling about. (This is personally what a dispatcher told me). For the money that you have to pay you should not have to put up with the BS!

Do not move here. Drug dealers, water damage not repaired, keep adding on extras like required cable, you cannot get packages delivered. They have small lockers that you put in a code to get a package, but nothing fits in them so you have to pick up at a fed ex or ups facility. Constant negative emails. Third mgmt company in 6 months.
I lived here going on 4 years now and I almost moved away to a cheaper place and bigger apartment a few weeks ago, but after talking with Micheala I changed my mind. I wasnt happy with the recent changes as far as the new owners and the constant changes in the office. I felt like I wasnt getting the great customer service as I did before, but Michaelas professionalism and listening to my issues and addressing my concerns took care of all my problems. Its always good to go in the office to be greeted with a smile and someone knowing your name. Its a great community with beautiful apts, friendly maintenance crew, and even better customer service. I definitely recommend living here youll be extremely happy and hopefully youll get to work with Micheala.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone move here. I’ve been here for over a year and I can’t wait to leave. It is getting progressively worse. The management is a joke. We’re on our 4th property manager in a year. This newest one is the worst yet. You bring up issues with her and instead of trying to fix them, she acts as though you’re overreacting to the problem. I’ve been in the office to pick up a package and she’s talked to another leasing agent horribly while in my presence. It was very unprofessional. The maintenance guys are nice but take weeks to fix an issue. One time they lost records and made everyone with a storage unit contact them or they’d be locked out. Another time, they changed everyone’s locks and left us all ONE key in our mailbox. People were locked out and had to call emergency maintenance at 2am. They started towing cars which is great except I’ve seen at least 20 towing stickers on other people’s cars which I don’t think deserve them as they park far in the back as to not get in anyone’s way. People play music loud at all times of the night. The weed smell has gotten better though. The list goes on. The apartments are ok but you’d get higher end finishes elsewhere. I plan on breaking my lease soon. I’d rather pay the fee than live here. I know management will comment with a rebuttal and tell me to come to the office to discuss it but that is honestly a waste of everyone’s time. You guys have shown you do not care. Which is why your turnover rate is horrible.
*BEWARE*I have been a resident since October 2016 and I must say if you want a reason to buy a house move here. This has been the worst apartment that I have ever lived in. For the high dollar rent you would expect certain things. Well dont expect that here. If I could start with management, the first company sucked. The new management company which I assumed would be better are just as bad. The new property manager Kathleen (which Ive been told is no longer the property manager) asked me to step in the office one day while I was picking up a package. She asked if I could modify my post on Facebook seeing as though she was trying to correct the issues. And as you can see I didnt change anything Im actually adding another one. The doors stay broken and the halls smell bad. My complaints on move in are as follows, the apartment was NOT ready for move in. The toilets would not flush, if you turn the bathroom sinks completely on the sink will not properly drain it will keep filling up (almost a year later the sinks still dont drain properly). Shower pressure in bathrooms were not strong. The curtain rods in the bathroom had mildew ( they told me I had to replace the rods myself). The dish washer smelled like garbage. The inside of the cabinets looked disgusting. I did not want to put my dishes in them (they ended up putting white lining at the bottom of all the cabinets). All of these issues happened within my first month of being in the apartment. Fast forward to now and the new company. May 30 I filed my first complaint regarding my A/C not working. The past two months have been complete and total HELL. Out of 60 days Ive had air maybe 10 days and thats just being nice. My apartment has been between 80-84 degrees. I have taken a picture of the temp in my apartment and a video as well. And between Micheala, Elizabeth and Kathleen nobody cares because they go home to their air conditioned homes. No one returns phone calls or emails and they expect me to pay $1200 rent. You pay rent when everything is being taken care of and maintained. I have all my documentation from all the request that Ive put in to have my air fixed. I have gone as far as to contact a lawyer because they are not maintaining this apartment properly. I do understand that I have to pay the rent even if I feel I shouldnt have to pay it all. But I also know that I can sue. It has been hell. They do a temp fix which is why I have had air for those ten days. I call, email and submit request online and you could heard birds chirp while I wait for a response. They dont know whats wrong with the air. I requested the owner information as well but of course I have not heard anything from the leasing office. I put in my notice on July 31 and I can not wait until the day that I move out of this place. I now know why I see so many people moving in and moving out. Its not worth the money.
I like it. Its a new development and the staff is really friendly. I just wish the water was hotter.

Just did a walk about on Saturday, and was honestly impressed its a large secret tucked away in a corner of Raleigh, I had been going to all the high profile central located apartment complexes from north hills to down town and was getting a little depressed at the cost and what my budget was affording me, basically I was getting a shoe box for 1200.00 a month, then I I found it.. LEVEL 401 I went thinking wow I may Ned to lower my expectations some. parking was a bit in demand but it was Saturday morning, they were not open yet, but met a few of the local dog walkers and it was really positive, one or two I can say will mostlikly be come friends Im sure, anyway did the tour saw the pool the workout room and the STARBUCKS machine!! yes STARBUCKS machine.. AWSOME.... sadly I was unable to get the BIG TWO bedroom but I was able to get the next best Two bedroom HUGE Clean and steps from the Lift... kitchen of my dreams Two walk in closets WASHER/DRYER for 495 less a month than a VERY SMALL one bed one bath in north hills.. the Gym is 5 mins in either direction, access to both green ways two mins away. Lowes, food lion and Wal-Mart, mins awayI am 3 min for 540 7 mins from capital and not paying to live Im living to play because of this awesome place.. can not wait to call it home.

Horrible. Apartment constantly smells of marijuana, neighbors often fighting in parking lot, loud music plays all weekend, and generally full of young punks. Do not move here...ever.BTW a herion dealer was shot here not too long ago as well in his trap apartment.
