I am writing this review based off an experience I had speaking with a Marsh Property office manager by the name of Candus. My vehicle was hit by a rock projected from one of their workers driving a riding lawn mower. I was given her contact information by the worker who was very pleasant and apologetic. My initial conversation advising her of the incident she was extremely rude and nasty. Every conversation after that was the same, her disposition is not customer friendly or professional. Candus gave me misleading information about how the damages to my vehicle would be taken care of. I had to advise I would call the corporate office and requested to speak to her manager in order to get accurate information. I hope this review encourages an opportunity for management to speak to Candus about her lack of customer service skills and professionalism.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my time at the Elmhurst townhomes. The neighborhood is very family friendly, the property is in walking distance of restaurants in South End, and is in view of Uptown. The units are well-kept and if you happen to experience any issues, maintenance is highly responsive and prompt. On top of everything, the staff goes above and beyond for you. Everyone I worked with in the office was extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend the Elmhurst townhomes to anyone looking in the area!
It breaks my heart to write this, but I’m super sad that I’m moving away from such a wonderful community, I guess that comes with growing up. Let me just say, Patty, Virginia, and Alexis are all so kind and truly made me feel important. Whenever I had a maintenance request it was handled within 24 hours immediately. John, Quincy, and all the other maintenance guys work so hard and are truly trustworthy men. When looking at apartments, Patty spent hours with me finding the perfect place. Move in was a breeze, and the units have such charm. Now if you can’t tell, they are older, but oh so cute. These units have character. And yes. Bugs too. But guess what, I lived in a million dollar house in Charlotte as well and again BUGS. so just be prepared to either set out bait and not worry about it or submit a maintenance request. Now fast forward, I had an unfortunate living situation with someone I was living with who chose to move out of my unit. At 4:45 PM on a Friday, maintenance stayed late to change my locks. That’s something you would never find anywhere else. Also, one time I wrote my rent check for the wrong amount (it was less than what it was supposed to be). The bookkeeper called me to notify me of my mistake and gave me until the 7th (instead of the 5th) to get my check there. Again, she didn’t have to do that. She could have charged me a late fee, but didn’t. The worse part about living in the duplexes is sharing a driveway and having to triple check for people walking by. I really don’t understand all the other petty comments because the women in the office truly made me feel so important. Definitely a 5 star management company. I love all of the employees here and the properties.
I agree with all reviewers that said it is a great community! I wish I could stay here longer!
Marsh has gone above and beyond for a year now of my renting from them. They are accommodating, helpful, timely in their responses, maintenance requests and most of all: professional despite any frustration or challenges that arise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The neighborhood is great! the units are somewhat old but well maintained ... prices are fair, for the area! And the office and maintenance staff are excellent! Our stay for four years was very good!
This is hands down the cheapest way to live in South End! Lots of the duplex units even have wood floors! We love the convenience of being able to walk to our favorite restaurants, grocery stores, and the light rail. Cant believe we have a 2 bedroom unit for $1,100. Yesssss, the units are old, but theyre pretty well maintained and have so much character!
The Marsh Properties staff have been courteous, consistent and prompt since the moment we entered the leasing office. My family enjoys the neighborhood, it’s central location and proximity to the light rail. We’re having a pleasant stay in Sedgefield!
I really liked living here. The neighborhood was super quiet, staff was nice, lots to do, and cheap for the neighborhood.
The leasing office location is not a comfortable walking distance from any of the apartments living spaces. The leasing staff I interacted with are overtly rude to their patrons, mismanage their priorities, and disorganized. I will not be returning for any future apartment showings. I have no desire to move here.
Its just so hard to imagine that as long as Marsh has been in this business, that their reviews are so bad. I lived in one of their properties some time ago and the landlord was drunk most of the time. It was awful. As long as they are making money, they no longer care about tenants.
