All salons come with their pro and cons. But what you cannot deny is results. I came in today for a fill-in, pedicure and lash extension. I was beyond satisfied with the work. Normally I am super skeptical about getting my lashes done at nail salons, but my stylist (Rea I believe) made sure to take her time and she was patient with me. Also they have new pedicure chairs that are simply amazing. The only thing that could be better is that the air condition was not on... it is JULY!

Upon arrival the technician didnt have on her mask. There was no greeting and I had an appointment for 2 pedicures and a manicure. Communication was a challenge and several of my fingers were cut during the manicure. There was very little attention to details and there was no foot massage given on one of the pedicures. I will not go back to this salon.

I work here and I love my job. We aim for top notch customer service. And I am a wonderful nail artist who gets excited when my customers are happy

Place was full of people and the films from the mail remove and other astringent made it unbearable.

Had my nails done Pink and white powder a week later and nail fell off the crack at the bottom I went back just now nobody wants to help me they can’t fix the nail I paid $60 for these nails and nobody wants to help me I know walked out there the worst place ever! They say “ come back tomorrow “ are u crazy ? Come on .. pics are just one week old. My nails are suppose to last

This is how they left my nail . They are rude, and practice poor hygiene m. My full set that cost 60 dollars cracked in 5 days, they wanted me to pay full price for it. They cut my nail off and it began to bleed, didnt even put alcohol on it. Lastly the acetone they used to take off my previous set, they put it back on the container, this place is disgusting, do knot go. When I asked about it, she refused to finish my nails. Called health department, this how people get sick.

I walked in close to closing (5:30 area not knowing they close at 6:00 pm due to COCID) I asked if servicing me would be ok considering and they said yes! However, I ended up getting cut and started a few times from the filing and buffing of my nails. It was obvious the woman was frustrated because it was closing time but professionalism is key. Thank you though

The nail salon opens at 11 AM. I got there at 11:15 AM hoping to get a gel set and fill. There was only one person working there. I asked him how many people were working; he stated that there would be three people there, and I would be seen in a minute. I waited additional 20 minutes before someone saw me. A young lady came rushing in winded as though has she had been running. I’d been going to the salon for over four years, and I had never seen this technician before. She started on my nails. As she went along, I tried to get her to correct something that was obviously amiss. She interrupted me and stated “I know, I fix it later.” Later never came. She finished what SHE thought was a good job and said “Alright all set.” I replied “No” and asked her to repair was I mentioned needed correcting.Long story short; she didn’t. Someone tried to fix, but the initial application was wrong. I kept politely trying to explain, and we ended with me not having to pay. The nail technician packed up her things and vanished down the block (I assume she was coming from the nail salon a block away as other technicians have gone there to work). I spent ANOTHER 45 minutes taking the nails off by myself. Once done, I again politely asked the another employee if he could work on my nails, as he had sometime in the past. He looked at me and began to speak in a language other than English and didn’t respond. I left.A BIG change is the new management as of a few months ago.

This place...went in today. They sliced my cuticle and it didn’t stop bleeding for the entire time I was there. Had to remind them multiple time to use alcohol on the cotton swab. Nails were sloppy and they were rushing to get to the next customers. Had to ask them to wipe the excess blood and nail polish off my nails multiple times. The worst. Stay away. THR owner is rude and staff is impolite.

Nice people, good and thorough pedicure. Might have just been the day, but it smelled VERY strong of artificial air freshener, enough that I almost walked out and couldn’t really relax. Some of the equipment (eg towel heating machine) looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while ... not sure I’ll be back.

I highly recommend Lam, the nail tech for first timers! The atmosphere is wonderful! The staff is pleasant and helpful. If you have a crazy spectacular designed in mind, this is the place to be! Their quality of techniques, is amazing. I presented a difficult designed to them on Pinterest, and Lam was able to create just that!

Won’t be back. I walked in for a gel manicure. Despite the fact that they didn’t have any nail color samples for gel polish (really?! I get manicures biweekly and I’ve never been to a salon that didn’t have color nail samples for gel polish!), I decided to give them a chance. I should have followed my instincts. The OPI polishes that they offered were all very old and tacky. My “gel” manicure is sticky to the touch and I had to go back immediately, because the nails were not smooth and clearly looked like old tacky polish with ridges and lines. Definitely not worth $35! I have zero confidence that the gel will last more than a couple of days. The color feels like it will peel right off. I’ve never experienced this before from a gel manicure. Very disappointing and not worth my valuable time or money.

It has been two weeks since I visited at Fanatix and my feet still look amazing. I had been getting my feet done at another salon. However after I went to Fanatix because it was closer to my house and they were amazing. Clean, nice and I am still thrilled with the pedi I received. Definitely will be back

Rose has been my technician from day 1 & I would not trade her for the world! Rose has an eye for colors & makes the best recommendations for products. Great air exchange, no eye-watering odors! If you get a Pedicure ask them to paint designs on you big-toe nail. Only $5 more and a piece of art!

I have been going to this Nail Salon since May 2014 when they opened. I ove the atmosphere and the excellent customer service. I usually make an appointment with Kevin who does an outstanding job but does not work at Fanatix. Emma is my nail technician who does an outstanding job. I make sure I schedule my appointments as she gets booked. I would definitely recommend this Spa to everyone. Please ask for Emma.

I was liking my pedicure until she said thirty for the cost. Totally my fault given that I didnt ask. But Ive had pedis in a Bethesda salon that didnt cost that much! There isnt a price list when you walk in either. And there wasnt anything extra like a salt scrub or a hot stone massage. Oh well, chalk it up to lesson learned. If you like being overcharged for a basic pedicure then this is the place for you.

Here it is 6:15 pm the salon close at 8pm 2/12/20 I come to get a gel full set I was told to come back tomorrow because it’s only 2 people here to remind you I came in Sunday & was told the same thing like it’s not my problem you are under staff & if that’s the case close the salon at a early time do let me walk in & you ask me what I want done just to tell me to come back

Its a nice clean salon. The atmosphere was cozy. Staff is friendly. I had a mani/pedi for$40. Tony was new to me, my regular guy was on vacation, he had a strong massage, nice cut to the nails with a friendly disposition. Neighborhood parking was plenty, metered and non metered. I was offered a drink. I had rose wine, preferred red. I wll go back.

I just visited again this week and the nail tech was talking and laughing the whole time with a friend that walked in the salon. It was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! She talked so much that she clearly couldnt focus on my nails. I left so unhappy with my fill in and the shape that I got no gel color. I returned 2 days later and another nail tech said I need a fill in lol I said I was just here 2 days ago and the lady back there did my fill in. Needless to say he had to fix what she destroyed. He was amazing and I left happy. I shouldve received a discount for the mess up and for wasting my time and gas but I paid full price and left a tip.Fyi. Prior to this mishap I got a lovely pedicure but when the lady painted my toes it looked like Stevie wonder couldve did a better job. A man came over and shook his head then said hed fix them. He painted my toes perfectly.

I got gel polish, it lasts forever. They always offer beverages to customers. They are kinda friendly.

Good to fair service. Need to inform client of choices of spa products for preference and skin sensativity. English barriers effect client communication with tech.

After my friend and I left fanatix, I SHOULD have had a drink-but, I didnt want to lose my sobriety of 25+years. Been here MORE THAN AS FEW TIMES. This time? My last. I work hard for my $$$ & of course Ill pay top $$$ to pay for pampering. My feet get me where I need to go, they ALLOW me to Do my job, so they WILL be PAMPERED and theres too many salons in the DMV, to render this impossible. Unfortunately, it cannot be done in my own neighborhood-which is where this place is located. Wont even call it a salon-NO PAMPERING HERE, hon. The man who attempted to give me a French pedi should file for unemployment. Tina should fire him. He SCORCHED my legs with the BURNING HOT towels. I screamed/jumped as he placed them on me. No sorry, no compassion, no offer of salvation, no glass of wine offered( so I could pass it to my friend whose eardrums I just busted). Not to mention, before I got burnt, he was told (because they ASK you) I wanted a French pedi. Well, he clipped some of my toes down SO FAR, there was no way ANY polish was getting on there. Lord. Hit and Miss. Fanatix. Youve been on capitol hill TOO LONG to conduct yourselves as neophytes. Novices. Beginners. A B C D ED F G . Come on, now. You ALL should be REGULATED-SO YOU CAN BE SUED. #noMas

Awful place. The manager was completely rude about the things that went wrong and the guy I had didnt listen to me at all. Went here because of such great reviews, but would never ever go back. Such an awful experience.

I got my first SNS powder mani. The tech dipped my fingers into the powder container, which was opened, meaning other customers fingers have been dipped in there too. That is just not hygienic. I dont know if its normal during powder manis but my hands were covered in gross dust from filing 90% of the time, and the brush she used to clean my hands was gross too. She was not at all a perfectionist--sadly! Because thats what you want in a nail tech!! It felt like the whole time I had to fend for my nails. Had a couple miscommunications due to language barrier that almost ended really badly, but thats a story for another day.

Painfully, I almost took my hat off to reveal my natural big bush..and on my day off!! THE WORST SERVICE FOR THE SECOND TIME! So, I only went here again because I received a gift certificate for a mani/pedi for my birthday to this place. No fault of the purchaser, he just got the location mixed up since my regular folks are in close proximity. Still, lovingly I had to accept and reluctantly I went in 2 weeks later. The first point of reference to a previous encounter with this salon: the tech wanted to take my gel polish from my nails while my feet was soaking for the pedicure...with ill thought I let her. She filed the black gel polish..over the water...then, put acetone on the cotton..over and dripping into my soaking pedicure water...then, wrapped the foil and pressing the access acetone now dripping in my soaking foot water (mind you..my feet are soaking in this water) all the while my chair is reclined back and malfunctioned. Ugh! Finished the pedicure and then the polish was new but she didnt shake or mix it well so had to go back over the 2 toes she started. With attitude she did redo that issue however, i didnt see it until we got in a different light where the nail station is. Now, to my hands...smh! I came in with even long nails that I needed to cut down and rounded. She did the cut down perfect but was not listening when rounding. When I noticed that she one of them pointy, I told her to round it. She said; I fix it Well, her fixing it to make it even with what she botched up shortened the length more. Now, my nails sorta look like the fake dracula movies when they have the fake short pointy nails on. I am so disgusted. If youve read this review in its entirety DO NOT GO HERE if you want something other than just out of training service! AND pay attention to the recent reviews and not old ones from when they first opened. Also, they lied about the pricing of the basic service that the gift certificate was for. They didnt know about my pre purchased certificate when I asked how much was my service. I expected to pay extra for the gel polish but they certainly over charged on the certificate. Not to mention a $10 tip was included on the certificate. Yeah I made scene especially after listening to them disrespect customers when they leave because they wanted a certain technician...and I see why!Terrible! My natural nails..im afraid Im going to scratch myself thats how pointy some of them are. Ugh!!

Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere.

Unbeknownst to me, an employee placed an opened OPI purple nail polish bottle on the shelf. I selected the bottle, set it on the bench next to me as I waited my turn for service. Another customer notified me that the polish spilled onto the seat and onto my silk dress. When I told the technician she did not seem to care, but when I raised my concern again, she finally spoke to the lead technician. The supervisor claimed there was no proof that the bottle was open and did not want to take responsibility for the damage. They tried to use paint thinner with a saturated cotton ball on my silk dress, and got indignant when I asked them to apply the thinner with a Q-tip so as not to stain my dress that was not damaged. The supervisor started to shout that I wasnt listening to her, raising her voice and waving her hands in my face in a very unprofessional manner.All of that nonsense described above spoiled the decent medi/pedi service I received from Zana. I will not return and will pursue restitution regarding my damaged silk dress.
