Yoyo and the team at Cosmo Nail Bar are the BEST! I have been coming here since it opened and have worked with Yoyo for 6 years. The services are always well done and the salon itself is so cute and clean. I don’t trust anyone else with my nails!

Perfect gel mani i walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and was out in 30 min with beautifully painted & expertly trimmed / polished nails!!

My nails were ROUGH when I came in. Super short, cracked, cuticles a mess. They were so nice and understanding and truly transformed my nails. Their attention to detail is amazing. I will definitely be a regular customer.

This place was perfectly acceptable for a quick and affordable ($17 regular nail polish manicure) and the service is friendly, though Im not sure this will be my go-to establishment.The interior felt like it could really use a little TLC (it was decently clean but had no real style and looked rough around the edges). COVID-wise, they have clear paneling between you and the manicurist. Perhaps more importantly, my nails chipped within the next day, and Ive had longer lasting non-gel polishes from other locations.

I have been going to Cosmo for years off and on. I have no complaints. I travel all the way from NE to come here and it’s worth it every-time. The last time that I went, Helen really did a great job with my pedicure and gel manicure. I’m going back this week actually. I love it!

I got a manicure here Monday afternoon. Its Thursday afternoon and my nails are already chipped and look terrible. I couldve painted my nails at home and they wouldve looked better.I was also asked to pay for my manicure...in the middle of it. She hadnt finished my nails but asked me to pay. I was with a friend who was not asked to pay in the middle of her manicure so Im not sure if she thought I planned to leave the salon without paying? That was certainly not the case and I didnt appreciate the insinuation. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

They always transform my nails. I’ve been going to them for a year now and they’re very accommodating, nice and do a great job. I love coming there. I won’t go anywhere else.

I made an appointment at 6:15pm but didn’t get seen until 7pm and after removing my polish they began working on another customer. They were aware I was on a tight schedule but didn’t seem to care. Rather than take appointments they should simply say they don’t take appointments. Waste of my time and money on a babysitter.

Pleasantly surprised! You are offered wine and there are plenty of people working to pop in for a walk in. Id pass on the eyebrows but highly recommend a gel manicure. Quick and well done. Specials only apply to the 10am - 1pm slot. If you pay in cash, a few dollars off.

I have received two excellent gel manicures from Cosmo. Both have lasted me nearly 3 weeks and have not chipped at all, my nail has just grown out to the point where it doesnt look nice anymore. They are very clean, and courteous. I appreciate that they offer the fingerless gloves as to not expose you to extra UV light during a gel manicure. I have never had a gel manicure last this long, it is incredible! Gummy did my service last time, and he is great.

I went and got my nails done on a wednesdsy. By friday, polish was already chipping off. I went back and showed them. I will not be going back. The nail technician was nice but not efficient.

Horrible .... I gave them two stars only because of the massage chair when I was having my pedi . They don’t know how to do acrylic nails, and they are so busy looking and getting people, that they don’t concentrate on that one person. I just moved from another state, and have been doing acrylic for more than 24 years. I saw that they had pretty good reviews, so I went . NEVER again.

Wow. Very impressed. For this price range, you get a lot more for your money. VERY clean, amazing chairs, excellent staff, great new colors, no crowds. I love across town but will be back.

I got SNS color change, was completely rushed! But I’ll be damned if she didn’t do a great job 😁— I’ll be back, the price was fair. In and out and it lasted three weeks 🙌🏽 Year later and I’m a loyal customer

Great service! I get the SNS powder instead of acrylics and my nails are so much stronger and longer. Great selection of colors and they always have new nail trends to recommend. Yo-yo is the best for SNS and she makes great sangria as well. This place is my go to since switching over from mimosas due to poor attitudes. Its always located near a bunch of great restaurants!

Came in last week for a mani pedi. Called ahead of time to let them know. They were rude to my friend and I. Plus my gel is already cracked. Won’t be going back.

They lie like dogs. I was looking for a salon that does a sculpture liquid gel set. Yelp said they did, so I checked the website and called the salon to verify. When I called, I was told that the normal person who does it was out. When I said thank you and was getting ready to hang up, the receptionist started talking to a guy and then said that there was a guy who could do it for me and I said I would be in around 6:30. I called at about 6:15 and said that traffic was bad but I was close by and would I still be able to get the service that I wanted. The receptionist repeatedly said yes, yes that that was fine. When I got there, it was a completely different story. The woman had been there but she left right before I came! Would I be fine if I had powder gel done instead?!!?!!? I was furious and should have walked out, but I was desperate. Where was I going to find another salon at 6:45PM? I repeatedly confirmed that it was NOT Acrylic and NOT Tips.... and the receptionist kept confirming that would be okay. I got a pedicure to pass the time. When it comes time to do my set, he seats another customer next to me like he is going to work on both sets. He also chooses a hideous red for my nails. Okay, alarm bells are blaring. I ask if its powder gel, he confirms. He tears up my cuticles with a bit and then smacks a glob of acrylic on my nails saying that was what I asked for. Or I could wait for another tech to put gel on tips. No bueno, I can do that myself. So I walked out after paying for my tips. And of course they talked about how stupid I am. The pedicure was nice but not nice enough for me to brave the bs again.

Beyond all things Yoyo and Coco and their staff is completely accommodating and so welcoming everyone that walks through the door. Anything you ask for they will smile and supply your every need. If you are looking for a nail salon that covers all bases, takes their time, and makes you feel at home....Cosmo nails is the place youve been looking for!! Yo-Yo is the best nail tech in DC!!! Born and raised in DC I have tried them all. I left my last nail tech bc she was not up to date with the current nail trends. After multiple attempts to try to communicate the new nail shape I wanted to transition to I decided to move on. I gave Cosmo a try after using my daughters as bait...😜If they had enough patience for two witty Kinders then taking me on would be a breeze!

My sister always comes here so I thought I’d come myself . I only waited about 5-10 minutes which isn’t bad . The lady who did my mani/pedi goes by Emily, and she’s amazing 🙌🏼! She offered me a drink and later on I accidentally messed up the paint on my left feet but she kindly redid them . The service and music is great too !

This place has severely gone down in service. I have frequented this place for years and the last three times I have gone for a mani/pedi the service has been lousy. Unfriendly staff, incomplete service (staff misses steps and rushes through) and quality in question. Cleanliness too. I will not be back.

I wanted an sns manicure and a regular pedicure so I called cosmo nails to see how long the wait would be. I was told there shouldn’t be a wait if I could get there in 15 minutes. I figured since it was a Friday I might have to wait 10-15 minutes even with what I’d been told on the phone. What I did not expect was to show up 15 minutes later only to wait 30 minutes without being acknowledged and then an additional 15 waiting in a chair with no service. I could take the wait if 3 people who arrived after me hadn’t been serviced before me. 2 manicures (a normal and a gel) and a pedicure. All 3 individuals arrived after me. TLDR: biased treatment of customers, you get an average manicure much cheaper and more quickly in about 100 other spots.

YoYo is the best! I think shes the manager, but she does a fantastic gel mani. Overall, a really cute neighborhood salon. Prices are reasonable and the place is very clean. Ill be back!

Based on the reviews, I treked to Adams Morgan, via Lyft, for an expensive bad pedicure and gel manicure. Never again! Examined my feet upon returning home...a pediegg can do much better! Not worth it...I wasnt even offered the comp beverage. This place is crowded because of the neighborhood, not for the service.

Came in yesterday 7.7.17, for a gel manicure and brow wax. I enjoy Cosmo because they are convenient to my work and because they consistently do the best gel mani Ive found in DC.. Though they can be a bit overpriced if youre not in during the specials.This was my first time receiving a wax at Cosmo and the tech, when tweezing after the wax, tweezed so hard that Ive been left with acabs under my left brow. Im guessing she was grabbing my skin along with the hair! I thought it was more painful than it should have been during the process, but I did not anticipate scarring. Dissatisfied that I purchased scabs for myself. The brow work is only okay, definitely not worth the pain!
