This place is cute and has a great variety of services offered. Unfortunately I wanted to like it much more than I did. On Thursday (just 5 days prior to this review) I went in for a Gel Manicure. By Saturday morning, not even 48 hours later, multiple nails of mine began to chip. Ive never had this experience from a gel manicure before. Not only that, but the edges of my nails and near my cuticles have excess paint that has dried and flaked off, making them look old and in need of a new manicure. This should never be the case after 5 days.

1st time at Pearl Salon for a pedicure and I immediately was impressed by the customer service and atmosphere. I was offered wine while I relaxed during my pedicure and my tech Tiffany did her thing on my feet (picture posted as well) . The staff was very professional and even picked out my color when I was undecisive.... and it was perfect. Me and my sister will be telling our family and friends... close and convenient to my house near the downtown area, not crowed with fast courteous service... thank you Seiro for awesome and GOOD LUCK!!

Tayler provided phenomenal service during our visit at the salon. It was my first pedicure and she made me feel welcomed and relaxed. I will definitely be back to see her.

I went to Pearl for an acrylic soak-off and a French gel manicure. My soak off was painful because the nail tech kept cutting the acrylic and my natural nail at the same time she even snipped the skin on my finger. In addition, my gel manicure looks awful. The polish is slouchy, uneven and messy. Then when I was being checked out they had the nerve to try and automatically apply a 20% gratuity for the awful job. The facilities are nice and it’s right downtown but I would not recommend this salon it’s is NOT worth your money.

The staff at Pearl Salon in Tampa was wonderful. The nail tech was perfect. She took her time on my nails like I was the only customer there....because I was, lol. It was presidents day and pretty slow. Nails came out great. Very clean, the massage chairs are comfortable, and the hospitality on point.

Lauren and Taylor did a fantastic job. I have been back now twice with family and they were happy as well.I have been calling the past week to make an appointment and no one has picked up.

I previously wrote a bad review because i was upset with the pricing of my nails and the quality. however, the manager Sierra called me and offered me a full set for free to give the salon another chance. This time around, my nail tech Dee, did a good wonderful job and i left super satisfied with my nails. Sierra and her employees truly do care about their customers and made the situation right. I will definitely be back.

Had My nails done they were already done I needed to feel when I came in but the lady was wonderful and actually sculpted my nails so that they were longer and I absolutely love them she encapsulated butterflies it’s just so beautiful I totally recommend

I was a walk-in a few minutes before closing. The ladies were so inviting and friendly and immediately sat me. I was greeted as normal and was not felt rushed. Lily did a balance. She changed them from feel to normal paint. Ive been spoiled by gel. Im normally do gel but today I was in a budget. she made my paint look good.

Great experience with pedicures! They massaged, did hot towel, and did a sugar scrub for 35 plus tip (twenty percent auto added). Def recommend!

We had the best experience getting our beach pedis at Pearl Salon. The staff were super friendly and inviting and they did an amazing job on our pedicures. It was my first time at this salon, I was in the area and decided to give it a try. They welcomed me even though I was a walkin and didnt have a previous appointment.Alexa did my eyebrows and she did an amazing job. I definitely recommend her specially if you are a latina, also had my feet done and they did a great job at it too. Had the paraffin pedicure done. Definitely recommend it for people with dry skin.Unfortunately they have been having electrical problems so I couldnt dry my nails there. Yet overall the service was outstanding. The prices you can judge for yourself.Please be aware that they include a 20% automatically to your bill. I wish it wasnt this way as I am of the thinking that your money should be managed by you and a tip is based on service. Hopefully they change this policy.

My daughter and I are on a Weekend getaway in Tampa. We randomly found this gem. Dei is a very skilled tech and Rosalie was super accommodating to work us into the schedule.We will be back and bring our friends on the next weekend getaway.

My husband and I booked pedicures at this salon. We were extremely pleased with the service and cleanliness! We were greeted by Nicole. Such a sweet girl! She offered us a glass of wine and even gave us a refill during the pedicure. Odenia and Dei did our pedicures and they were delightful! We were very happy with the quality of the services and would highly recommend this place.

I went for a pedicure when I was visiting Tampa we got to the place rite before they where supposed to close but Ciera took us in any way the place has a beautiful atmosphere clean professional and welcoming Debian did the pedicure it was wonderful my feet has been hurting really bad and she did a wonderful job in the massage and pedicure I was in heaven thank you ladies for the wonderful treatment I will be back and not just for a visit (insider) 😁

The place is clean and nice but the girl who did my nails was not experienced to be doing a manicure.She did not know how to apply nail polish (literally) and did a very blotchy job. It looked all messy.I tried being patient and thought maybe it would look okay but it was not good at all ! Especially for the price you pay. (50!) CrazyMaybe the other manicurists are good but I wasn’t lucky!

I recently went to this nail salon because it’s so close to my apt in downtown. The location is beautiful but the quality of my nails were poor. I went and got a refill the polish never cured we tried multiple times. The next day my gel chipped and started peeling I went back and got a completely different color thinking it may be the color being that Ive been getting my nails done 10 years and never had that happen so I was charged and extra $40 even though the girl told me that since she was having a time getting my nails to cure to just come back because she had to repolish them so many times. Not even a week later 5 of my nails have lifted from the bottom and the bottom of my nails (that are still on) are not even polished throughly it’s spotty because the gel STILL obviously did not cure so I spent over a $100 in less than a week for not only my nails to lift but my nails to not even last. Very disappointed because I really wanted to stop driving to Brandon.

I got a gel manicure and it was subpar. Polish on my cuticles & rough edges that snagged on my clothes. And for almost $50 it was way too expensive for the quality. They also add 20%tip which means they don’t have to provide a good outcome.

I recently visited this salon after a friend of mine recommended them. I normally dont write reviews, but I felt so ripped off by this place, that I decided to write one. I have never paid $50 to get a manicure with gel! I mean $50!! thats twice more than what I normally pay at the other south Tampa locations for the same services. The girl who worked on my nails did not do a good job and tore my cuticles in few places to the point it was bleeding and now its inflamed. My fingers do not look smooth under my polish. The place is clean, and has really nice decorations, but other than that I was not impressed with the service and the price at the all.

I feel like this place has potential, but I had a lot of flaws during my manicure. My nails are filed uneven, I was cut by my tech three times, it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to do a basic gel manicure, she answered her cell phone twice and the color that I chose was not the same that was on display. I wanted a purple color and the color painted was more on the greenish brown side. I will give this place one more chance, but will NOT be going back to the same tech.

Ms. Odenia provided an awesome gel pedicure for me during my vacation. I love the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff. Everyone was so nice. Im a licensed Nail Instructor and I watched them perform proper sanition and infection control beautifully.

Savette and Nina are amazing! They always do a great job and you can tell they really care about the end result. The salon itself is so beautiful - I love the vibes and they give you refreshments during your service.

Nail polish was old and therefore my toes never fully dried even after 20 mins of sitting under dryer. The technician should have reconginized this and corrected. Also the top coat was super thick so it added to the issue.I felt like my technician rushed through the pedicure which prevented me from relaxing. I went because of proximity to my hotel but will have to go to my normal shop when i get home to get my polish corrected.

The women there are nice and they usually do a great job on my nails the waxing is ok but overall theyre great

There have been several staff changes over the years Pearl Salon has been opened, except for the delightful Manager...Lilly.Shes excellently skilled in manicures and runs an efficient and pleasant salon. The staff are very friendly and professional, also skilled at their trade. The salon is located conveniently in downtown Tampa near my home.They curtiously offer customers a variety of beverage options while being groomed. During the day street parking nearby may be available but after 6PM it becomes more of a challenge unless you use a nearby Parking Garage or Lot. Prices are comparable to other $$ level salons.

I got a fantastic pedicure here a month ago. The gals were nice, lots of colors to pick from, reasonable price for the basic option. Color lasted a long time.

The services provided were great! However, I gave them one star because your credit card information can be easily compromised at this business. They did not have a swipe and they do not have a chip reader. They are entering numbers from your credit card and putting it in the system I won’t be back until this changes.

Excellent salon. Extremely convenient if working or staying in downtown Tampa. The salon itself was exceptionally clean and they have a great polish selection. Prices are what you would expect in the area. Era did a beautiful job on both my nails and my feet.

Im not one to write reviews, but I felt like information like this should be known. I was very excited to try out this salon for the first time. The place is decorated so nice and being in downtown I assumed the services was be just as good. I was wrong! I got what manicure and gel polish on my natural nails and the lady who serviced me left skin and polish on my hands. A good friend of mine recommended me to them so I figured Id get them another shot with my pedicure. That was my mistake and a waste of money. Literally the worst $40 pedicure Ive ever received. She did use not a stone or razor or anything at all for that matter to remove dead skin and make my skin soft again. Is that not the purpose of pedicure? My nails have been done for 6 days and I am already scheduling somewhere else to retouch because its already chipping. I also need to get another pedicure because my feet feel exactly the same.Complete waste of money guys, dont let the location fool you. The place looks nicer then the services they provide.

I am in town for a wedding. I called first thing this morning and made reservations for two pedicures and a manicures for 1:00pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were told it would be a short wait. We sat on the couches for about ten minutes before being shown to the pedicure chairs where we waited, without being checked on, offered drinks or given the foot soak for 20 minutes.Then I went to the front desk and explained we had a 4pm wedding we still needed to get ready for. I was told it would be a ten minute wait because the people who were before us decided to get gel instead of normal. I mentioned we had made 1:00 reservations (at this point it was 1:30). She rudely told me, “it’s because it’s a Saturday. You can wait ten minutes.” We decided to wait because they told us we could do the $15 polish change quickly.We walked out at 1:45. The woman at the front desk didn’t say a word.Please don’t go to this place.

WOW... Went for A Pedicure, sat down in chair, cold water to soak feet in, the Nice lady cut nails. and cuticles, 1 minute massage and done. I said don’t your work on callus which are not that bad, she brings me a MENU and says that will be $ 8.00 extra. Paraffin wax extra $10.00. Please save your money and go elsewhere. Wasted $35.00. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon.

Savette is great! Please disregard bad reviews, they have taken care of the issues with past employees. I myself had a problem my first time but decided to give then another chance because my acrylics lasted so long that i knew they had to be using great products. Im so glad I gave them another chance, I absolutely loved my nails this time! Of all the years and times Ive had gel and acrylics done, definitely my top 3 favorite nails I am rocking right now. I will definitely be back!

Aymara is great! She took her time with my nail color refresh and did a very nice job. Very friendly and beautiful location. The decor is a fusion of Asian-inspired and a little nautical. The location is very central and right next to the hotel I was staying at so it was an easy three minute walk. The prices are reasonable for downtown. If youre trying to save a buck on your manicure, get a color refresh instead of the full manicure. It was only $12. If you have gel polish or acrylics they need to remove first, theyll add $5 but its well worth it.

My nails began to turn colors the next day. I enjoyed the conversation with my tech but ended up disappointed. Usually when you spend more for services, you get better quality. This salon is very basic.

I called to make an appointment, and when I was directed to go online to reserve with my credit card I decided to take my chances with being a walk in. Fortunately, I was able to get seated right away. Ivette was very friendly and did a great job on my pedicure. They are about $10 more then I’m used to paying for a basic pedicure, but I do understand that it’s location and convenience.

Poor quality nails, paid so much money for nails after two weeks I got fungus in my nails. They also over filed my nails tremendously where I have a huge dent in my nail. I will not be returning to this salon. Staff is very friendly but service is overpriced and bad quality.

Pretty place but the worst business model. This is my third time trying to get my nails done. They only have one tech who can do the service and they are always “booked up”. I tried to call and the phone was ringing back as a busy line.Today listed online they close at 7:30p. I walked in at 6:45p and they denied me service because they were closing early..... WHAT NAIL SALON CLOSES EARLY ON A FRIDAY??!??? Especially on INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!!!!They need to get it the hell together. Never giving them my time again. Only thing that sucks is that they are the only nail salon in the downtown area.

First time going today. Thought I would check it out since I live nearby. I got a regular pedicure, and it was a decent job but could have gotten the same quality for $20 cheaper in another salon. I also got a full set with Lily and I will say that is the best full set Ive gotten in years. Shes very patient and very detailed on your nail work. Will definitely come back for manicure but will try to stay away from pedicure. I also suggest that you book an appointment before coming since they are very busy and takes a little longer to assist walk ins. The place is really pretty and clean.

I got an original mani/pedi as a walk-in. I was immediately seated after picking out my color (Thursday at 2pm). My only negatives are that I wasnt offered a drink (I had to ask for one after 35 minutes) and only one person was working on me. I am used to one person doing my feet while another does my hands. Other than those two minor issues, it was great! I would recommend this salon.

First let me say that if I decided to go ahead and listen to the reviews of this place I would have never given it a try. For this place is excellent. The customer service was nice and so were the people. I was not hounded for a drink like other reviews had said. The prices are not as expensive as i thought for what I received. The salon is very clean and spacious. I literally have no complaints here. I will definitely be coming back again some time in the future. The only thing I have to say is that I booked a certain nail tech online and when I showed up I was given another nail tech without anyone letting me know. I am glad i received the nail tech that I did which was ODENIA because she was absolutely lovely and so polite to me. Other than that, I had a great experience and will be visiting again. My pedicure came out fabulous. I got the parrafin pedi and its a must. Very similar to what I receive in New Jersey where I am from.

I usually dont cheat on my nail salon, but since I was out of town I didnt have a choice. Hannah was so awesome, it was like I was at home. Prices are a little more than usual, but totally worth every dollar! Give this place a try, its great!

My boyfriend and I stopped by just to check this place out because it looked very nice from the outside, this place makes the statement some people are pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside very true. The place is beautiful but the staff is beyond rude! On top of being rude they lied about doing acrylic, stating that there was only one person who did acrylic and she wasnt in at the moment. we ended up settling for two pedicures, one hot stone and one gel, as time passed another lady walked in and a male worker, who had not been doing anything got up and started doing the new customers ACRYLIC ! I looked at the person who was doing my feet and said so basically I was lied to she slightly nodded, I was very upset if I wasnt half way through the pedicure I would have get up and left! We are normally very good tippers 40 dollars or more but in this case they werent worth our money, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!

Clean and decent view dowtown. Me and my partner went for pedis. It was his first time and I was hoping for a great experience. The quality of service did not match the price. It would be worth it if they at least offered more than 1 cup of wine. He was disappointed :(

Visited here earlier this year for an Essie Pedi and unfortunately, got an infection in my big toe from them. Started turning red and swelling late that eve and by the next day, it was much worse. Had to go to the urgent care and was told I was lucky I came in as infection was traveling up my foot already. Antibiotics for 10 days and a ruined trip to NYC that weekend. I contacted the salon to let them know and they offered me a free pedicure. Ummmm no. I would avoid this salon.

Location is nice, the staff was friendly but my pedicure peeled by the end of the day. Essie polish shouldn’t peel within hours unless you’ve put it down over oil/lotion. So, a waste of money.

Ive been to Pearl salon three times now and each time the service has declined. My first gel nail was perfect, done in a reasonable amount of time, and the nail technician was extremely nice. The second time I went to get the gel nails done it took such a long time. I thought the woman who was doing my nails was just being extra careful but my nails didnt look any better for the additional 20 minutes it took. The third time I went was definitely my last. I went in for a pedicure and the woman who doing them barely spoke to me, didnt clean up my feet at all, cut my nails extremely short, and forgot to cut the cuticles from the toes on one foot. My feet did not look or feel like I just got a pedicure done. It is disappointing because it is such a cute place and it is so convenient for me to get there but I wont be returning.

I just had and incredible experience at Pearl today with my two friends. We came today on a Monday morning before noon with no reservations and they were able to take the three of us in for 2 manis and 2 pedis in no time. The prices were reasonable for the service, area and accommodation. Tamika did my original pedicure and she was very attentive and professional. Remember that the quality of service is always reflective with regards to the quality of the customer! Treat others with respect and realize that they are providing you with a service and you will be treated with equal service and professionalism. 5 starts for friendly and efficient service! Will return!

Didnt have a good selection for gel and website was not clear that it would be $28 for a refill PLUS $20 for gel.

I came in this past Sunday (10/21/18). I was charged $114 for a gel mani/pedi. I typically make appointments ahead of time, but have also been a walk-in several times. This day I walked-in on a whim to receive the services from the Pearl that I rely on. What I received was far from it! There were several new faces. The new receptionist was extremely rude and seemed completely lost once I questioned receiving the services I wanted. She escorted me to the polishes and after looking around aimlessly told me to sit in a chair that someone was currently occupying. I must have looked at her with curiosity on my face because she then informed me that he would get up soon and to “take my time with the polishes”. I let that slide because who goes to the salon to worry over the front desk staff? I then received a pedicure from a lovely woman (she was most definitely the highlight of the trip). She took her time and was extremely gentle but thorough. BUT when it came time to paint my nails, she asked if I was receiving gel polish... I told her I was and showed her the color. She then brought another girl over to finish the job of painting my nails but watched her intently as if she was “training her” or “observing”... I wasn’t certain which. The entire time they were painting my toenails they were gossiping about (what appeared to be) the front desk receptionist. They then both appeared extremely annoyed with me because I questioned when I was to receive the gel manicure? A third girl came over to do the manicure and was nice, but was absolutely terrible at the service itself. See pictures posted of light pink nails (taken 10/24) two days after service.When checking out I asked if it was possible to receive a wax and the receptionist, with an attitude, said “ha, no, that’s not happening.... can you come back tomorrow?” I told her no not to worry over it... ready to leave at that point. She then charged me for get this (one regular pedicure, one gel pedicure, and one gel manicure!) all because the lady performing the pedicure at first couldn’t paint?!?! The one who painted with gel didn’t perform a pedicure... she painted!!! The only decent part of this entire place that day was seeing Peter who always has a smile on his face, works his a** off, and does one hell of a job. If I ever returned I would only do so through an appointment with him or Ivette who I was disheartened not to see that day! I don’t know if there’s new management or what, but until they get these things fixed I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!
