I’ve been going to Charme for three years now and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The nail techs are very friendly and welcoming and they take great care of your nails. They’re very accommodating and will do their best to make sure you feel beautiful and confident with your nails. I won’t be going anywhere for my nails any time soon!
My best friend just came back from her pre-wedding Mani (Charme 45 min) and Pedi (Bijou 35 min). The Bijou was not 35 minutes as indicated, theres dirt under her nails, and the tips of her toe nails arent painted!? The Charme mani was sans the cocoa wrap but she still paid full price, a total of $115. Not a great experience for the bride to be! Why am I writing this review? 1) She doesnt have time as shes trying to squeeze in another pedi (somewhere else) before the big day 2) I recommended Charme because of their sustainability practices so of course I feel terrible 3) I dont want another bride to be dissapointed.
Initially this was 1 star but Im changing to 4 because the manager did call me and made things right which means a lot to me. the girl who did my nails was not up front with me about time and the quality on my feet definitely suffered for this. Unfortunately this was for my wedding day. The manager let me know there would be coaching involved on this situation and gave me a free pedicure to make up for it. I couldnt get in before the big day but I really appreciate the call and making it right. And, my fingernails look really great! Original story: I told the worker my wedding is this Saturday and what I wanted for my nails. I booked a charme manicure and did not receive the cocoa wraps. I booked a bijou pedicure and it was done in 10 minutes. There is dirt under my toenails and the paint job is not complete. She was rushed because she didnt manage her time and her other appointment had shown up. I did tell her hey this is isnt a great job and why. She charged me full price ($115!!) and told me to contact the owner. I called the owner - Jenny- and left a vm.
Excellent service, fun people, great environment. I love their commitment to sanitary and safe services.
Moved out of Tacoma 3 yes ago and I never found another nail salon that compared. These gals were super nice, their practices sanitary, they had dogs to cuddle AND never told me no on a design I found on Instagram. I always walked out of there with cute and unique designs. The new place I found in Seattle... let me tell you.. the girls very obviously trashed talked with each other in a different language whenever I requested nail art. These guys are truly something. ❤ I now do my own nails with at home kits because I just dont live near a good shop like theirs. All these bad reviews they are getting from Karens not understanding COVID-19 guidelines or talking to the owner so she has a chance of making it right... are nonsense.
Fun, friendly staff, beautiful decor, and a wonderful mani/pedi! Would definitely recommend to a friend 👍
I got the most long-lasting gel mani I’ve ever had here! Everyone who works here is so nice and it has a super clean, nice atmosphere. Dani is amazing at waxing too, she’s the only person I’ll go to for getting my brows done. Cant recommend this place enough!
Walked to the front door, it was locked. Next to me was a homeless women yelling at me. I was scared. My technician inside mosley walked to the door to unlock it. I was uncomfortable with their seemingly lack of care for my well-being when later she asked if she was yelling at me?The service was $60 with a tip. I received the BMX treatment. Because I just had my tips removed. The final look was nice. It too exactly 45 minutes to complete from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. The technician that did my nails seemed nice, didn’t talk much. I got a sense I was inconveniencing her or something. The place plays the Pop hits (shake it’s and the like). They usually have a dog timing around, but today the store pet was not there. It looked clean. Before I left I asked if I could book another appointment because they are by appointment only. She said to call and ushered me out so she could get to her next appointment. That’s my honest review with facts.
The staff was kind and helpful. I felt welcome and enjoyed the manny and pedi.
I’ve been here twice for gel manicures and both times I’ve been extremely impressed. Their covid precautions and safety are really top notch. I love that they have an online booking system that makes it easy for me to see their availability. Can’t wait to go back!
Great experience all around! It has been a few years since my last visit to a nail salon and, while I like to have my nails done professionally, I have never felt particularly comfortable in such studios. Those at Charme take the time to treat your nails well while also holding calming and caring conversation. If you are ever in need of a new nail color, visit Charme!
I love it here. My nails look amazing every single time. I’m VERY picky and I recommend this place to anyone else who is too!
I have been going to Charme for years now and recommend them to anyone looking for a great nail salon!! Their staff is professional, kind, and really big on sanitation and quality. I always leave feeling happy with their quality of service and pampered. 10/10 would recommend!
I dont like getting acrylics or any artificial extensions. I care for my nails and want them healthy. This nail salon does incredible natural nail manicures. Thanks to them my nails are healthy and pretty.
Too expensive. Was $50.00 for a gel manicure with the removal of previous gel and no extra work was done. Otherwise, nice work and nice people. But I could have gotten the same experience at a different nail salon for $20.00 less 🤷🏻♀️ Please change the sign outside of your business, because it lists the price of a manicure as $27. So, by that given price your charging almost 20 extra dollars to remove gel. Be upfront about pricing.
The salon is very cute, clean and the girls who work there are good at what they do. I got the Charme Pedicure which was super relaxing and Malaya did a very neat job at painting my nails.I had a great experience with waxing here as well. Dani is so professional, nice, and didnt make me feel awkward at all, which i was worried about happening, and the results were great. I will definitely come back!
This is such a cute and clean studio. You get such great service for really reasonable prices. Plus they have an adorable dog that likes to cuddle. Definitely check them out.
I have been there a total of 4 times and they have been very gentle and helpful with getting my nails back to normal after having done acrylics. Now my natural nails can look as nice as acrylics. They direct you when you get there so you are not just standing around while everyone stares at you. They have easy booking online.
The website and the answering system said they’re are open at 10AM, however they were closed when I stopped by at 10:20 for a manicure. If you’re going to have set hours I hope you would abide by them. I can’t review they’re services since I was unable to go inside.
I went to Charme for the first time yesterday for a ladies’ day out with my mother-in-law and was truly impressed by the services they delivered. Malaya was meticulous with my manicure and pedicure, as well as giving a GREAT massage for both my hands and feet - which are still super soft today, I can’t say that’s ever been the case with a traditional pedicure that uses a water bath! I think I’ve been converted to water-free pedicures. The attention this studio gives to sanitation is quite evident. All of the technicians are friendly and really care about you having a good experience.I found the services to be pretty reasonably priced for what you get - to me, quality is worth paying for and especially knowing that the technicians are being paid a living wage. There are also multiple tiers of services like mani/pedis so you can opt for a less expensive or more luxurious option depending on your budget. In any case, I fully expect I’ll be coming back to Charme in the future!
Yay for natural nails its a little on the pricey side for a basic gel manicure (35$) my technician was friendly, parking can be tricky. But it was a great polish job throughout & easy on the cuticles unlike other places. Definitely schedule an appointment as its a little small for walkin.
A letter to the owner.....My name is Deborah and I had the 50 dollar pedicure service yesterday (Sunday) at your studio. I just bought a house in Auburn and I lived in Seattle my entire life and needed to find a new manicurist.I located you by a google search “organic pedicure”. Surprisingly very few salons show up in my search radius for this service. After two hours of searching and reading company bios I happened upon your business. I read your resume and that you had once worked at Julep. I am familiar with their line and service level. I also read about your “waterless pedicure”. I also read about the products you use.I have psoriasis on my right foot. Waterless pedicures are recommended by the medical industry for this condition but no one offers them except the medical profession in extreme cases. Specifically no salon offers a psoriasis pedicure anywhere in this state nor have I ever had one. When I get pedicures my toes look beautiful however my psoriasis foot is usually red and inflamed and the products that are used widely in the industry specifically the scrub and cuticle remover burn my psoriasis skin. As soon as your products were apply and the way that they were applied calmed and soothed my condition and are similar methods and ingredients I use at home for my condition.Today the psoriasis on my foot is literally less red and is pealing and healing from the service. I normally like more cuticle removed but I also read a dermatology article slamming the manicurist industry about removing too much cuticle because it destroys the nail overall health. Also on a side note I had three people catering to me one bringing me water, another who did my nail service and another lady who repainted my toenail twice because I wasn’t happy. I appreciate your staffs attention to me while I was there I didn’t feel like I was an inconvenience as I do many times when I get a pedicure because everyone is so busy.I had a healing experience at your salon and I hope that people who suffer with psoriasis can find you and receive the same experience that I did.So thank you I will return.Deborah
Only salon I will allow to do my nails. Best at natural nails. Been going here for a year and I get so many compliments on my nails. Happy client here
I have never had a Dry pedicure before, but I really like it. The ladies in salon are so friendly and attentive. The salon pups, Charme and Chico are the best part. They will sit on your lap and snuggle during your pedicure....I loved it!
My new go-to nail studio! I had a pedicure by Linda and a gel manicure by Thaly. Both ladies are amazing and provide high quality service! Both of my services came out perfectly, and I cant wait to show them off for graduation! The salon itself was clean, quaint, and welcoming. Definitely book an appointment if possible! Pricing is a little higher than an average nail salon, but well worth the care and quality put into every service. Thank you, Charme- Ill definitely be back!
Love this place! Fun setting! The owner is a talented and smart business woman that loves what she does and treats her employees right.. A business Im happy to support. I will be back.
This place is the most sanitary nail place Ive ever been to. So cool that they use new files and buffers for each client and you can keep them after. Happy they could fit me and my friend in last minute.
Im a gel-all-the-time fan and very picky about who handles my fingernails. I have tried a few different salons since moving to the area and Charme is one of the best. I appreciate their eco-friendly initiatives, and the whole place is impeccably clean. I had never gotten a pedicure for fear of germs before I started coming here. The team is lovely and friendly and take pride in their business and quality of work. Location is perfect too. Thank you ladies!
Lovely place and service. Just popped in for a quick file and polish while I’m visiting Tacoma and look forward to going again sometime.
Wow. Received a gift certificate from a bestie of mine who LOVES this place. Shes a small dog lover and from the photos on the website, I could see why Erika loves it here- fun furry little friends to relax with? Sounds great. So, I book online for an 11:30 mani and pedi- the Lulu to be specific. 30 minutes for mani, 45 for pedi as they dont do the services together. Sweet! Sounds lla wonderful, relaxing 75 minute experience. And waterless- how intriguing. So excited.Get to appointment 8 minutes early to find a CLOSED sign on door, but there are 2 customers inside, so I go in, totally prepared to wait as I was early.I ask if they are aware their sign says closed, to which I dont really get a response other than Do you have an appointment?I was told to sit in the last chair. I chilled, did a little work online, waiting for my appointment. No cute little dogs anywhere, just 2 customers and 2 technicians. At 11:40, I am offered nail color samples to look at. I decide. At 11:43 I am offered a warm neck pillow to which I enthusiastically agreed. Never got it. Oh well, Im sure it would have been nice.At 11:47 someone puts a regular towel under and over my legs. Yawn. Boring. Still, no warm neck pillow. No cute little dogs. No small talk, nothing. Finally, at 11:50 (20 minutes after my scheduled appointment) the owner tells another girl what color I have picked for my toes (although no one ever asked me which color I wanted where.)By now, Im just not feeling very relaxed. Closed sign. No pleasant greeting. Offered neck pillow but never got it. 20 minutes late starting, so I say, I think Im just going to go, to which the gal (who I think is the owner,) replies, Well, then, well charge you anyways (you have to include a credit card when booking services.) UMMMM, excuse me? Up til that comment I just thought they were having an off day. Happens to the best (and apparently the worst) of us, but NO! I am absolutely NOT paying for services not rendered. I didnt show up 20 minutes late with no explanation.I tell the gal I have an appointment (had a lunch date at the ever fabulous Pacific Grill) and didnt want to be late. She tells me I wont be. They can hurry it up and get me out on time. So wait... my options are to either be charged for leaving an appointment that they were 20 minutes late for or Ill pay and get a rushed job? No, thank you, to which the gal tells me she buffers all the service times by 15 minutes. And she gets all huffy saying how they are running behind and doing the best they can. Thats the best they can? No, to me, the best you can do is to politely explain, when a customer first arrives, that Hey, sorry, were running a little behind, make yourself comfortable, well be with you shortly... Heck, anything, but nope. I 329% get that stuff happens. People run late. We are human. She then tells me to go to another nail salon where I wont get in either. Excuse me? I dont NEED a mani and a pedi. I enjoy them and do you really think you are the only nail salon? Next...Must have been an off day, as most of the reviews here are great, but nah. Her attitude was horrible, aggressive, unprofessional. Needless to say, I love my bestie and love that she was trying to support this business while showing me some love, but guess what? Ill be giving that gift certificate back to her as I wouldnt feel even remotely comfortable giving them another shot.
My nails look perfect after getting a manicure here. I grow them out long, so I really apreciate the shaping & buffing that was done to make them all uniform. The ladies were very nice, easy to chat with, and knowledgeable when I asked for recommendations.
The most expensive and worse paint Ive ever had for a pedicure. Oh and my heels are still not smooth like with other less expensive salons. My red polish was all around the skin on my toes but I didnt notice until I got home. Plus it was chipped. Sandals arent provided with the overpriced 50 dollar pedi so I walked out barefooted to avoid messing it up. This place was recommended but I wont be back. Staff were nice and booking was convenient.
What a great place. The ladies were so msweet and the job looked great. Little spendy
They do good work, the only schedule by appointment so you know how long you will. E there. All staff are personable and friendly. They know you by name
This was the best facial I have had. This place is very relaxing and comfortable. The esthetician is very knowledgeable and can answer any and all questions. I highly recommend you give it a try, you wont be sorry.
I visited Charme for my second time today. Both of my experiences have been wonderful. The staff at Charme accommodated a large group of us for my sister’s wedding. All five of us were being cared for with the highest level of service. They made my sister feel special, and allowed us to bring snacks. That was my first visit. Because of their customer service, and the best foot massage of my life, I pre-booked pedicures for my husband and I a few weeks later. Again, we experienced great customer service. This small business is a gem. For friendly, clean, high quality service, We will continue to drive 35 mins for pedicures! Go check them out!
Very friendly service! I booked a manicure for prom, and the results were AMAZING.
These ladies were so sweet and genuine! I just moved across the country, and stumbled across this place and figured I would try it out. It is a natural nail salon, which Ive never experience before, but I loved it! I would definitely recommend going here. This group actually cares about your nails and skin.
Great experience, wonderful service!! Will definitely be back!!
This response is completely inaccurate and false, as stated in my email to the Business Manager previously. The initial account opened had inaccurate card info, and there is no option to update or modify this through the online platform. Therefore a second account was opened with the exact same profile. There was nothing discrete or hidden- this is ludacris.Looks as though this response was copied and pasted. Surprising to see the prompt response to the negative commentary, however, no acknowledgment to client engagement.I will be moving forward in the dispute with the involvement of the Attorney Generals office. Have a nice day. This salon uses unethical business practices in the way of requiring you to place your card information to schedule an appointment and regardless of the circumstances, the card will be charged- unethical and fraudulent. Even you if attempt to reschedule so that you are not incurring the charge, they intentionally are unavailable so that they can leverage their cancellation policy and proceed with the charge (s). Unfortunately, there was a collision on I-5 yesterday, requiring me to postpone, cancel or reschedule my appointment. The freeway was completely shut down in the direction that I was traveling; I called and called and called to convey this message and reschedule. I ended up leaving a message as not one person answered in the span of one hour of calling. The end result is that my card was charged anyway, given the circumstances outside of my control. I will be contesting this charge and moving forward with a dispute. I would not recommend Charme Nails Studio salon for this reason.
Four of us went together for a mani-pedi before a wedding. It wasn’t a good experience. Several of the technicians seemed annoyed they were there. Although I get they are a waterless studio, the basic services were very basic for the price. Not a second of massage or pampering. They did not provide any receipt and when I asked for one, we were overcharged. I tried to get them to address the issue, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they didn’t, insisting we made an appointment for something we did not (and they charge for what they say you asked for, even if you don’t get that service). It was just overall a bad experience for the bride and the rest of us. And not that it was their fault, but our car was keyed out front to add insult to injury with the whole night.
Walk-in. Had a great experience with a gel manicure and hand and arm treatment with coconut oil and some kind of scrub. Great vibe here.
They took us in last minute and close to closing, it was a positive experience. More expensive than what I normally pay, especially for a basic pedi. We got 2 pedis, 60.00, however, I DID NOT ask prices prior.. I usually get the works, cuticles, wax, massage, exfoliator, lotion and 2 coats of polish. For 25.00 a piece. They dont have the chairs with the foot baths, they have recliners that lay you back with your feet up, almost laying down, it was relaxing.
My niece and I picked this place out and made a appointment and read the reviews and looked at the prices and changed our minds and went to cancel the appointment and they said Id still be charged the amount and that we should just stay! Dont come here!
I like it when my nails are all equal lengths!
To find THIS nail salon on vacation was a miracle. The owner, Martina, owns this salon with cozy stations containing very relaxing reclining chairs. The mani/pedi was provided in a fully sterilized manner (I’m a registered nurse in Florida). Each client gets her/his own autoclaved instruments and personalized disposable file and buffer (to take home if you like). If you feel like talking as I did, the conversation was charming. I even encouraged my husband to have his first pedicure; he was totally comfortable. As I am a huge dog-lover, I was given the choice/ opportunity to have one of Martina’s two tiny dogs sit quietly with me through the nail session. I was in heaven! And the ‘finishing touch’ was a beautiful set of red nails for a wedding! The prices are reasonable and worth every penny!!! Blessings to “the Nail Fairy”, Martina, a volunteer for children with terminal disease and the elderly! Bravo!!!
Rachel was amazing!! Absolutely the best dermabrasion and facial Ive ever had!! Shes very friendly!! Also had a pedicure from Kandice and she did a great job as well!!
I love this place. So excited to have finally found a salon that I can trust to be sanitary. Candice gave me the best mani and pedi ive ever had. They even make their own sugar scrub and body butter. Highly recommended.
Excellent prices. Bring cash for tips.
Terrific spot to get a pedicure, very sanitary, good ventilation, and relaxing reclining chairs.
As a response to the owner. I really appreciate your detailed reply. I think your business ethics are wonderful. And I do believe that you treat your employees well, and have a very clean and sanitary environment. Also, I have no problem paying for good service. My manicure just wasnt good. And if I got the Lulu and not the bijou, you fooled me because I didnt get the reflexoloty massage, or good cuticle care. :( All in all, For the reasons noted below. I just think the technician I had didnt have as much experience as the others, but I paid the same price.Original Review:I really really wanted to like this place. I have gotten ok more expensive service from so many places in Tacoma. I followed Charme instagram a couple months after they opened, and had been impressed with what I saw. So when I had an event to go to I decided to make an appointment online.Pros: Good color selection and nice pedicure chairs. I also like their waterless philosophy. Its nice to be able to book online but the booking system they use is somewhat glitchy, and harder to do on a mobile device. They also dont have all of their art options like French vs nail art. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.Cons:Expensive for the services rendered. Maybe other clients get a more deluxe treatment but after spending $90 for a French gel mani, and a regular pedi, without wax and without a massage I thought it was spendy.I booked the bijou which doesnt include those things, but I thing at that price it should.Another thing is that the technician I had seemed like she hadnt been doing nails very long. My nails were not shaped nicely. The cutle wasnt removed as well as I am used to, and the white tips of the French manicure were messy and had tiny little lines. She didnt ask me if I liked the way it looked before curing the gel and I didnt have time for her to start all over again. (Removing gel and redoing the whole process) . This is the millionth french tip manicure I have had and I am not a picky person, really, but this was so unexpected from a place that seems to be so nice and have so many good reviews. Four days after I had the manicure it all started peeling off anyways. It may have just been the technician I was scheduled with, but as a business owner, charging what they do for services you should make sure ever client leaves with nails that are of good quality. Or maybe have each technician charge a different rate based on their abilities.Once again I really wanted to like this place. But unfortunately I didnt have the best experience. I wish this business good luck and hope that they can work the kinks out.
Excellent mani-pedi and relaxing experience.
Last year I went to your spa for my birthday and I loved it
Amazing atmosphere and technicians. Highly recommend.
Go to Thaly! She did amazing work
After all good reviews Ive read, I was excited to get a gel-manicure at this place but Im very disappointed; didnt even cut my cuticles and when I said something about it she said thats your skin not going back.
Kileigh slays my brows every time
Fiancée and daughter loved it here!
Really good.
I see Dani for eye brow waxing she is a God Send! Parking is sometimes hard but Dani is worth it!
Very clean and professional staff, that is my new place to go
Amazing pedicures!
