Walmart carts always seem to appear at this community. Nothing works the elevator is always breaking the pool lights haven’t been cut on since the management changed. I love my apartment but once I walk outside in the community it’s very disappointing. It’s been downhill for awhile no power washing. They don’t care about residents needs here.
I moved to Raleigh and Sterling Town Center about five months ago. Ms. Maria was the leasing agent on duty when I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon - about 10 minutes before closing.I was impressed that she took time to show me two units, and followed-up the next week with additional information which made my decision to move here a lot easier. Ms. Maria exhibited a degree of professionalism, care and customer service unmatched by leasing agents at other places Ive lived.Ive found the entire staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. The grounds and landscape around the complex are always well maintained. Other residents have also mentioned that the maintenance staff is very responsive...I have not needed to submit a service request. So far, living at Sterling Town Center has been a POSITIVE experience.
So, my family and I just moved here from our townhouse to downsize and, we love it here! Maria really hooked us up (we have a great view from our balcony) and she made the application process go SUPER smooth. Weve only had a couple maintenance request made thus far but theyve also really been on top of their game. Rent can be a bit pricy here but the amenities make up for it (pool, gym, valet trash, dog park, etc). All in all, were diggin it and getting pretty comfy here.
If I could give 1000 stars I would ! I was set to move into these other apartments and long story short 3 days before moving in they made me aware that due to construction they weren’t going to be available until August almost a month out from my move in date. I called Sterling on a Wednesday and Agent Maria promised to have me moved in by that Friday and definitely empathetic to what I had been through ! Let’s just say Friday I was all moved in !!! I couldn’t thank them enough and my apartment is so beautiful and modern !
I lived at Sterling town center for almost 5 years. Everything was just wonderful during my time there. Maintenance was always prompt and courteous. The office staff were always available to answer my numerous questions. Levida is one of the main reasons I continued to stay at Sterling for so long. She is awesome, kind, and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. I hope the property management company knows what a valuable asset they have in her. I would recommend Sterling to anyone searching for an apartment in the area.
The management is very helpful. The Apartments are very modern, and very clean, they even replaced the carpets and painted the walls before our arrival, everything is very close by. 5/5 stars. Highly recommend.
I moved in about a week ago to my 1 bedroom apartment. Im loving it! Other than furnishings, it looks just like the model I was shown by Maria from the front desk. Beautiful place, beautiful view from the deck. The gym is also great, open 24 hours so that works great for my shifting schedule. All the neighbors seem pleasant and friendly. The whole process from beginning to end was amazing, simple, and easy as far as the lease agreement and the steps they took to ensure my move was smooth and that everything like electricity and water was running the day I stepped in the door. Maria was great to deal with and very friendly and helpful! She knew what she was talking about and had the perfect combination of professionalism and courtesy.
I love Maria, she is a very professional, caring, understanding and loving for people’s feelings and she is always able to help at all times. She is always passionate and making sure that they are happy. She is always on time with me and very organized. She is a great asset of this company. I see her being a manager. I love her
I just moved here July 2nd from Charlotte. In comparison to how apartments are maintained in Charlotte, this property gets 5 stars! I have not had any issues inside or outside my apartment. I feel like I am getting what I am paying for. I see others have written about walmart shopping carts appearing in the breezeways on the property, but that is not managements fault. I have seen those shopping carts myself in the breezeways of my building. That is due to residents not caring about the overall appearance of the property. I look forward to renewing my lease here. There are plenty of places to walk with my dog. Overall management keeps the property very clean!
You cant ask for a better place to live. Sterling @ Town Center is strategically built near the I540; 2 major malls, banks & restaurants.Pleasant staff: Levida, Maria, Armando. Maintenance crew are spot on with responding to work orders. Pool area, gym, office, elevator and grounds are all kept in immaculate condition. **Peaceful integrated community **
Tomorrow will make a month that I’ve been living here in my new apartment! I’m so excited!! My move in process literally took 3-4 days will the help of Maria, she was very cooperative and nice. She helped with any questions and concerns I had regarding email and telephone calls, she was helpful in every which way. I absolutely love it here, can’t wait for the pool to open
I moved into my apartment about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Maria has been a blessing she helped me through the whole process. My experience with Sterling Town Center has been absolutely great so far 😊
They absolutely have the best costumer services for leasing that I ever had. Maria in special helped me out with every little detail as I need to make possible my move in process and also after that all the team follow up the process to make it as easy and great as could be.I’m just super happy and comfortable to be part of the sterling town center community and all the services that they gave me to make my experience easier.Thank you.
Not really a good/safe place to live. Like previous reviewer said the complex went down especially at the start of the pandemic. There has been fights, police on scene, trash in hallways, Random walmart carts, and loud music playing at bad times.Building 4 pool is constantly occupied by people who dont even live in the complex. Random men walking through the pool grounds where children play. Very creepy and not sure why the pool gate has been broken as it is a safety issue.Too many inconsiderate neighbors who smoke and have loud conversations at 4am-6am on the balcony where everyone can hear.Unfortunately, I won’t be renewing here. Now I see why many people move in just to move out 3-4 months later.
Mediocre. The only reason this place got stars is because of the location. The actual apartments have outdated appliances and cabinets, mismatch blinds (they throw together whatever they can), no lights in any main rooms just ceiling fans, and stains on the carpets and countertops. To make matters worse, the leasing office staff are rude and snappy. You are paying just as much here when you could stay somewhere nicer.
I have been at Sterling town Center going on 8 years now and it has been a wonderful experience. The people are great the community is pleasant and welcoming. Also, they are very active with cookouts, pool parties, and pizza parties.
Ive lived in this community for almost a decade, and have enjoyed my time living in this ever-expanding area. Not only is the community well-kept and spacious, but the staff and management are professional and very accommodating. Despite the obstacles and issues COVID has presented, the team has been very understanding and communicative with issues that have come about in the last year: working with residents in making rent, for example, as well as trying to bring a sense of normalcy by keeping the community online page updated daily and coming up with fun activities for residents to participate in, safely and socially-distanced - like Food Truck Fridays! Thank you, Team STC, for the years in this community and the years to come!
Ive lived here almost three years. I mainly wanted to say that I think Sterling has a great maintenance staff. They have made swift and competent repairs and replacements over the years. My experience with the other staff has been mostly positive as well. On the whole my wife and I have been pretty happy here.
Nice place to live and you have all the stores close to you. The guys working in the leasing office are very attentive and helpful.
Based on proximity to local conveniences, access to 540 and Capital Blvd, and the onsite staff, I would give 5 stars. The Mgr and Staff are always friendly and courteous, work orders and maintenance issues are handled very quickly, efficiently, and always with COVID precautions. The reason for 3 stars is due to some residents not following (rather simple) guidelines for valet trash, noise between units, and overall neighborly courtesy. Ive lived here long enough to see the decline. Otherwise, this community has potential to get those 2 additional stars in the future.
Ive been here since 2017, the community is very nice, quiet and very close to everything.Walmart and Target are within walking distance and the mall. I love it.
I can’t express how happy I am that I moved here everyone is super nice and the staff is very attentive with you they are all great . Mauria helped me with my application and was great and every time I need something Armando and Levida are super helpful. The building is super nice and always clean the pool is beautiful and it is also right in front of Walmart and other awesome stores and the mall too. I would recommend moving here to my friends and family in a heartbeat it’s great!! I would give it 10 stars if I could :)
Great place to stay i enjoy it have one complaint people with dogs need to clean behind their dogs but thats not the office fault .
Maria Babar was very helpful and worked quickly through the move in process
Where do I start with my experience Maria is the true definition of a listener she heard me out and answered all of my many questions. She is definitely an assest to the community. I moved from out of state and she was very understanding of my fears with moving she reassured me that I would be ok and this place fits me perfectly. The amenities are a plus and I work so many hours I may not enjoy them as much but the option is nice. Believe me when I say thisbreview is the absolute truth and I will be a tenant for a while.
Had such an amazing time living here. My neighbors were always friendly, staff was always kind, inviting, and informative. Of course, every apartment complex has its positives and negatives. Positives: the walls must be soundproof or something! I never heard the neighbors that lived around me. The amenities are nice and new, the washer and dryer is probably the nicest I’ve had in an apartment. Recently, the apartment complex did maintenance on shower, sink, and light fixtures to make sure that we were being efficient on water/electricity usage which also brought costs of electric and water down! (It was entirely free as well). More positives include a beautiful pool area that is always being used for community gatherings (although right now with covid this is on pause). I never had the chance to attend any but I would see social events from time to time taking place which I thought was really cool! Besides community gatherings, their leasing office has Starbucks coffee! It’s amazing. Before I was able to get my own coffee maker I would go down to the office before school and just pick up a delicious free coffee that was prepared instantly. Another great feature is the package delivery service. I never had to worry about whether or not the office was open in order to receive my package, they have the LuxerOne package system which allows your package to be dropped off in a locker box where it stays lock safe until you’re ready to pick it up. You receive message alerts and notifications via email and text as well. Maintenance responds in a timely manner and always resolves any issues at hand. Another thing I love is the valet trash, of course this is something that is billed at the end of the month but hey... if you have to pay for it anyway I’m all for the valet trash. Last positive notes include having Walmart as your backyard, shopping centers across the road, close to 540, while also being only 18 minutes away from downtown & 7 minutes away from Wake Tech.Negatives: the most frustrating thing was most likely the noise and raucous that would happen outside in the apartment complex parking lot. There have been multiple incidents where it’s about 3-4 o’clock a.m (after bars shutdown) on weekends and there is a fight breaking out in the parking lot. It’s so loud and literally wakes up so many people. Cops get called and it gets resolved, still annoying. This is obviously hard for the apartment complex to control however since no staff member operates that late at night (understandably). Other negatives would include the fact that the gym isn’t as equipped as I think it could be and sometimes the equipment isn’t fully functioning-but you still have everything you need to get a good workout. If you’re an avid gym go-er and enjoy heavy lifting you will most likely need a gym membership somewhere. The fact they still have a gym is nice! That’s all the negatives I have. I recently moved out of this apartment and man do I miss it. I moved to be closer to the NCSU campus but gosh.. Compared to living at Sterlington, my new place sucks. I think it’s a great place to live & currently regret having moved out! I miss my lovely neighbors and the space and comfort I had of my last apartment here.
Initially when New Management took over I was a little reluctant of all the changes that was happening because change is not something we humans are very receptive to, especially when things dont LOOK like theyre broken...so why fix it? However the improvements that have been made has given the overall look of the complex and apartment a much needed upgrade. I was just in denial. The kitchen table tops are now made of granite and look beautiful and are easier to clean. The gym floor has also been upgraded as well as the Rental Office has moved from the brown color palette (which is everywhere) to a more bright and modern blue hue. (its the little things) Overall, living at Sterling Town Center has been a pleasant one (Approx. 5 years). Any time I need something fixed (which is not often cause for the most part, everything works properly) they immediately come out to repair. Staff have been super nice and not perfect by any means but definitely accommodating and helpful when dealing with them. Its a really nice and safe place to live. At least that has been MY experience.
Lived here over 6 months. The location is perfect if you want to hit up triangle town center or head over to Wake Forest. Rent and utilities are always consistent and fair. Every issue Ive come across that required a work order has been dealt with in a timely manner. Ive had nothing but a good experience living here. Dont listen to all the bad reviews. The loudest people are the most negative.
Apartments are good but maintenance is very bad. I just moved into these apartments and had an emergency but maintenance people said its not an emergency for them because my microwave wasnt working which was their fault. They left the job behind half way and not willing to come fix it when they are around the property. It
Ive been living at Sterling for about 4 years now and I have no complaints about this place. The staff are super nice and professional and the maintenance crew always do a good job when I need a repair. The landscaping is always well kept, except for the dog poop that I sometimes see but thats not the offices fault. It will be nice if people can clean up after their pets. My apartment is nice and spacious and I love living so close to everything. Eventually I will be buying a home but I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean and quiet place to live.
The new management team changed this community for the better. My neighbors are awesome and they do abide by the rules. The maintenance team is friendlier and they keep the community looking clean. It is now a great place to live.
If I could give zero stars to this property I would. They claim to be luxury apartments but do not provide the appropriate amenities. All the gym equipment is extremely old and the apartments themselves have minor upgrades. The front office staff also provides horrible customer service. Do not give these people thousands of your dollars to live there. Your money will be much better spent elsewhere where you will get better quality customer service. Shaunica the assistant property manager is especially not helpful or understanding.
Edit: I have changed my review from a 3 star to a 1 star. The reason being: the apartment complex started renting out to lower income families and it has resulted in a lot of crime and nuisance moving in the the apartments. It went from being a quiet neighborhood to being nonstop parties going on until 2-3 in the morning multiple nights a week, packages being stolen nonstop (Amazon rarely delivers to the package delivery system in the leasing office), constant booming bass coming from apartments all over, trash heap abandoned vehicles taking up a large portion of the parking spots (expired tags and flat tires) and a general erosion of the neighborhood. To top it off, someone was recently robbed at gunpoint in one of the parking lots and MULTIPLE vehicles have been broken in to. A once solid apartment complex has turned in to another example of an unlivable place. On top of everything it seems the leasing office is constantly changing staff and the management company recently changed- for the worse.Great location, close to major highways and shopping centers and solidly constructed new apartment homes but the property does suffer from some inconveniences and changes that the new property owner has forced on tenants. One massive positive I will say is building maintenance is incredibly quick, responsive and does a fantastic job. The few times Ive had issues they were resolved the same day. The gym is also extremely large and well laid out.BUT... The first biggest issue is valet trash service which is a simply method of scamming tenants out of additional money every month. The dumpsters are conveniently located next to all the buildings and its a matter of a 150 foot walk to get to said dumpsters. YET, theyve decided to institute a valet trash service that costs $20 a month, were forced to use these tiny trash cans with no handles and barely anyone takes their trash cans inside (so the property has trash cans all over the place in the breezeways at all hours of the day).Another issue is the pools. The community is surrounded by housing developments that discovered they can swim for free at the apartment communities many pools. SO the pools are always crowded with kids and parents who take up half the spaces in the parking lot to use the pools and dont even live there. Weve reported this countless times to the leasing office over the summer and nothing was ever done about it. The police were at our building at least twice a week due to music complaints at the pool and very aggressive families who were asked to leave by tenants.Parking has also become a big issue. Its not usual to come home and simply not find a place to park your car. Vehicles constantly park in the middle of 2 spots (they think their BMW or Charger needs 2 spots) and cars without handicap placards park in the handicap spots due to lack of parking. The complex does offer private parking garages but they cost an arm and a leg and arent worth it being theyre not conveniently located to our building. All in all, Triangle is a decent place to live but they are constructing A LOT of apartments within a few miles that are competitively priced, have large parking lots and more private pools. If they got rid of the valet trash service, enforced parking and enforced the pools then this would be a 5 star rated apartment complex.
I cannot stress enough on how happy I am living here. Other than the obvious of essential location and direct route to i540, the staff are very accommodating. The property manager goes above and beyond to ensure that you are well taken care of and content with your living lifestyle. You cannot get any better place than here. Location is at the utmost convenient and the staff are always there to ensure youre well being is priority.
Looking for an apartment. I always read reviews. People are gonna have complaints, its a given. But when the majority of the complaints are about the office administration, it is definitely a deal breaker. I can deal with a lot of things when people show concern for the issues. But when you guys as I am seeing in your response to the complaints just glaze over the issues and nothing gets better i wouldnt touch you guys with a ten foot pole. I hope that people who are able to go elsewhere does so and not get caught up in a bad situation thinking they wont have to share the same sentiments and frustration. Its nothing worse than paying hard earned money to people who could care less about your well being, your livelihood, who ignore your complaints and concerns and only implement stupid policies such as valet garbage pickup that no one needs only to fatten their pockets.Stop responding with your careless attitude saying youre sorry they feel this way and actually get a staff that cares about the tenants and work to fix the problems and concerns. Businesses like you guys sicken me!
Ive lived here for over 4 months and I absolutely love it! The staff is super friendly and the complex is really well maintained. I had a maintenance issue on a Sunday and they had someone out the same day to fix it! I feel very safe in the complex and feel like the neighbors are very quiet, respectful and would not hesitate to help you if you needed anything. Its a little far from my work but it makes it worth while to know Im coming home to a beautiful apartment in a great area!
Ive lived at Sterling Town Center Apts for 4 years and its the best. Its always clean and orderly, they are quick to respond to any maintenance issues, the leasing staff are always accommodating and very friendly. The grounds, elevator, common areas, pool, gym are all kept in impeccable order. My apartment has everything I need, and Im very happy living here.
Overpriced, but convenient to highway and shopping. Offering new amenities = charging tenants $20/month for valet trash and using a loophole to not require tenant signature for the service.Plenty of TVs in the gym..maybe (2) work if you can find which of the 20 remotes it belongs to. Gym equipment and fitness room are fine if you have no other options in a pinch.Filed a noise complaint a few times over the course of a month and was told it was handled but they weren’t very transparent or care to ask if I was satisfied. I guess I should’ve assumed it was taken care of when I was up again to the sound of car exhausts at 4am one day ago. Doesn’t seem that hard to me, considering they built a client portal for....wait for it...communication.It can be a slightly noisy place in the middle of the night between the rice burners in the parking lot and Wal-Mart landscaping services going off at 5am weekly in the summer. Either the walls are thin or I have exceptional hearing before dawn..not sure which. No one cares about the community mixers and potlucks either. Not just here...that goes for every apartment complex ever.Apartment complexes/management companies are all just low hanging fruit these days so there is really no point to this.Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.
Do not move here. They recently changed management and they are being messy. They decided to bring this valet trash service to the community and didn’t give people an option. $20 extra when the trash dumpster is walking distance for everyone. We already pay $12 for trash service but now an extra $20 just to have people take it for us??? Who wants that? And the trash cans they gave us won’t even hold a medium sized bag of trash. Not only that, they put so many stipulations on having this service. The hours that they are picking up are hour that I’m not even at home. So what am I paying for??? This is unacceptable. And also, this is not sanitary at all. Who should be forced to sit trash outside by the door and then bring it back inside the apartment. That brings on pest issues. I have spoken with several residents about this and we all have the same concerns. The leasing office has new staff and the assistant manager is already showing terrible customer service. I literally had to hang up on her. I am waiting for Shelli to contact me. I went by the office to make an appointment with her and called the office and I haven’t heard back from her yet.
I lived there for two years, I absolutely loved it very spacious ... staff are so friendly always go out of their way to make residents happy. Everything is always kept clean and up to date. If I would rent again I would rent at sterling town center and, I will refer all my friends and family to this location. thank you sterling for the amazing experience you gave me!!!
Just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. Great lighting and spacious, well kept and homey. While visiting family, I felt safe coming and going from the apartment to the parking lot, as it was well lit. I would recommend this complex to my mother and that says it all.
The fitness center needs some attention. Some of the equipments broke or missing parts. Tvs and Air condition does not work, running fans all day at 90+ degrees makes the smell worst. Please service this section. Over all staff and maintenance are very friendly and my experience with moving inn very pleasant. Thank you
This apartment I have lived at for about 3 years now and I have loved the support and friendliness of the staff over the years. The location is very convenient, being that it is 2-4 minutes from the mall, Walmart is right behind it, Target right in front, and it is close to 540. Note that you dont hear traffic from 540, but I do face the inside of my complex area so that might be a factor. The cost for what you get is average, but I think the supportive staff makes up for that. Maintenance is usually spot on with their work, and it only takes a few days if that to get things done. Neighbors are very quiet and respectful, and I have not needed to submit any noise complaints since I lived here. It is an Apartment Complex definitely worth visiting.
Ive been living here since 2013 and I love it. I feel safe, the staff is always professional, and the always provide excellent customer service with whatever my concerns are. I highly recommend this community to all I that ask me: Wheres a good place to live.Sterling Town Center yeah
Other than a miscommunication issue with maintenance and the front office that maintenance has now resolved and resolved very well this is a wonderful place to call home. I appreciate the wonderful service and patience that I received from the front receptionist handling my issue. She was very kind, patient, and professional. Overall, this is a wonderful place to dwell and I am thankful that the apartments I live in are run by professional people who hire likeminded people.
Great location, clean community, friendly & professional staff.
These Apartments are BEAUTIFUL!!! My husband and I are moving from New Jersey to Raleigh NC and we must have looked at 20 different places and this was by far the best. Im very selective and we rented this apartment because its beautiful and the staff is very friendly especially Ashlee Williams the leasing agent is the sweetest person, she was very accommodating and answered all our questions and met all our need. Thanks a bunch Ashlee for everything!!! oh and to top it all off there is a Walmart in walking distance from the apartments.
Some idiot thought it would be a brilliant idea to put giant trees in front of all of the number signs. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to find the right apartment from the street.-your friendly neighborhood delivery driver
This apartment complex has the most unprofessional unreliable staff I’ve ever dealt with! You can never get them on the phone the outside patio is disgusting! They have poop almost every where you step !!!!! The staff is rude and helpless. When talking to the asst manager about the phone lines being down on the regular basis she said well mam I am not spectrum so I can’t control that, I responded but you can control on letting your tenants know about the phones being down! She’s very rude and unprofessional and I will be reporting her after this review! Don’t move here especially with Kayla as the asst manager !
I love the staff here. They are very welcoming and professional. I had a great experience with them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place.
Good location but this comment is all about the staff.WHEN I was trying to rent an apartment there, I was helped most of the time by Gala. She is nice and so helpfulThen I had to deal with a man named David in there. He was rude, unprofessional.Try avoiding him no matter what.
Lived here for nearly 4 years, always paid rent on time never had any problems. Then it comes time to move out and the staff lied twice, first saying they did not offer us a price extension and then saying we did not give them notice of not renewing our lease when we did. Now they are trying to charge a month to month rent fee after they took my keys to the apartment. I was told the manager would contact me to resolve the issue and that was over s month ago. Do not recommend living here.
Went to visit a friend and simply loved this town center. So clean and loved that there is a playground for kids! If I moved to NC I would totally move here!!!
I really love this place!!! Great amenities and the staff is amazing. The thing that I most like about all is the people there is a really calm place to live, if you are looking for a place to be in peace there it is!
I love this place. It is quiet and a safe location and steps away from all kinds of shopping. I dont want to leave.
I ran into a rough situation here that could have been disastrous, but the staff handled it justly, well, and to my satisfaction. I am excited about living here. Its a beautiful, spacious, regal place to call home.
This is my honest opinion and Ive lived at this location close to five yrs. now. What I can say is, Ive seen three different owners change things as they move along. The major complaints are the valet trash, parking and the ever increasing rent. When new ownership took over they made promises of making TCA live up to its name in luxury living. By upgrading the kitchen countertops and changing the kitchen lights. Then the promise of adding parcel lockers to eliminate missing/ lost packages. They also stated an upgrade to the fitness center with new equipment and outlook by adding a spinning room (this would eliminate the game room). Lastly upgrading the pool area to make it more spa by adding new cabanas and furniture. With all this being done an increase in rent followed. Guess you cant expect to have great things without a cost. Its a great location because youre in the middle of everything. From 540 being right behind and 401 (Louisburg) on the opposite end you cant lose for an escape to anywhere. Capital Blvd will run you north and south to which all the eateries and some shopping is available at Triangle Mall, Poyner Shopping and Plantation Point Shopping Centers. Walmart is directly behind the apartments along with Target, Old Navy and 5 Below. BJs is across Capital Blvd along with Burlington Coat Factory and Life Time Fitness. But what is more important here is whether this is a good place to live, correct? Well... as stated earlier, those are the main issues and I can get picky but Ive been fortunate not to have other issues like some of my neighbors. Those issues have been about the office staff, packages being missing, owners not curbing their dogs, the increase in bugs due to construction next door or noisy neighbors who dont respect others. I tend to have a good standing relationship with the new staff and usually get great compliance from them.Someone asked if this is next to the hood or a high crime area? One thing you must know, if you live in a city such as Raleigh, youre going to be in a crime area. More crime takes place in other places than some so with that said, this is not a high crime area. Do children have a place to play? Depending upon age, there is a very small kiddie park across from the dog park but if you go to Spring Forest Road Park theres a big enough park for the kids to play at and adults can get their walk/run as well.I hope my post will give you some insight as to whats here and about. Some of the changes thats currently going on I truly hope itll end sooner than later but the last question would be, will I be renewing my lease when its time? I dont know. That depends upon whether my lease become too rich for me to pay. There are other apartments in very close proximity that are either more expensive or less offering more amenities, the same or less. So one has to pick their poison in which they can live without sacrificing expense. With that said...Happy hunting folks and enjoy!
We renewed but the rent is going almost by $50 we will not renew next time the staff is rude
When we moved in, STC was awesome. But then Grubb Properties bought them out and got greedy and started selling parking spaces and of course everyone purchased the best ones up front so I always had to walk across the parking lot to get to my apt. Then they added speed bumbs, NOT speed humps that would damage your car if you even go 10 miles an hour over, this made it very inconvenient. Our rent was reasonable when we moved in, but every year they raised it significantly so I guess STC loves a high turnover rate. When we moved out, I paid 400.00 for a professional cleaning service to clean the apartment. STC took my $1,2xx.xx deposit AND charged me an extra $5xx.xx for extra cleaning they had to do.We lived there for something like 4 - 5 years and this is how you take care of your long time tenants? STC is a major rip off. Ill be posting this on Facebook as well.UPDATE - They just got new owners which will be the third company that has owned them. Good luck if you move in there.
Ive been here for a week and so far I love the place. You have access to almost everything in Raleigh. Have Walmart, Shopping Center, a huge mall, the Capital Blvd, and, the Louisburg Rd in less than 3 minutes. And the complex is gorgeous!!!
The time I staid in sterling town center I had the best experience they are beautiful apartments great community and awesome staff ...
I would give them a zero star review if I could. I never wrote any review on google and this is my first time because Im very upset. And I hope people will be careful and not make the same mistake as I did. The office staff is very unprofessional by saying one thing earlier and deny it after. The thing about me is they agree on a 50% off on my application+admin fee, but when I told them I could not move in for personal reasons, they told me that then the deal is off, means I have to pay the whole amount, but that is not included in the contract and not even mentioned verbally. I dont want to explain this in a more detailed way, just to make my point here that this apt office dont really care about what is fair and is not responsible for their own words, they could say one thing and deny saying it after. No matter you are a current or future tenant, there is a piece of advice that might help you prevent such things happen, that is whenever that say a thing about policy,Always Alway ask them to write it down, dont trust their verbal morality. They wont take responsibility for their words. I wont agree on their saying this time, I am still going to fight about this charge until they can stand out and do the right thing.
Ill start by saying how ultra convenient this location is to the area shopping centers (i.e. Wal Mart, Target, Triangle Town Center Mall). This certainly adds value when living in a congested area like Raleigh. During the duration of my stay though, Ive had to place several noise complaints for my upstairs neighbors. For obvious reasons such as walking, jumping and the occasional loud thump, I understand and have no problem. But, in these cases, my neighbors sounded as if they were hurdling horses and other large livestock (no dramatics added). After expressing this to the leasing staff several times, they advise me to call the non-emergency line whenever the problem occurred. I did that several times until the police came knocking on my door and said, We cant help you, contact your leasing office. I am almost at the end of my lease, several calls to the police and leasing office later with the same issues. Not once did the property manager reach out to me to see if this issue had been rectified. Which further shows me the lack of communication between the office staff and the management, or the dis-concern management has concerning their residents. I personally dont recommend living here unless you stay on the 4th floor or luck up and get neighbors that arent as noisy (remember leases are always ending and starting though).
I have lived here for 2 years and the service is terrible. I mean like the gym is so out of date. I think that they should up date their appliances.
Terrible management, the turn over is unbelievable. There are new people in the office every time I go in there. God forbid you try to pay rent on a holiday. They will not take it and they will hit you with a late fee. No decency.
I love these apartments Ive been here almost 6 months its definitely worth taking a look at!!
Don’t move to sterling town center apts. They are very unprofessional, especially the Assistant Manager. They will hit you with mandatory amenity fees that are not in your contract and call them a utility fees. The staff act like they care but in reality they do not care.
I’m writing this for my daughter (who is a high risk pregnancy & already feels threatened by her neighbors) and Grandfather (who is disabled) and have been living here since October. They have had a leak in the ceiling since Feb that maintenance has yet to fix after being reported, called the 24/7 maintenance number during the leak & they just hang up. Was told by the gentleman in the office once we were finally did catch someone that is was unlikely or uncommon for new builds to have that problem, he would make a note of it. Two weeks later someone finally came by and said they would be back & never returned after stating “it’s not that bad”.. they have several water spots in the kitchen & at various times throughout the night water just streams out. The upstairs neighbors have continually been asked to control the noise coming from their apartment almost nightly, music & children running from 7am till 11pm daily, no one in the office to report this to as NO ONE IS EVER THERE during what are most common business hours, I visit often to assist with the care for my grandfather, and it’s sad to see the stress that is put on them both from lack of rest & aggravation. You would think with what is paid monthly & being tenants who pay on time the management or staff would actually care enough to do something. Maybe this will gain the attention of someone who will actually look further into the complaints...
Ive lived here for a little over a year now, not a bad place but not awesome either. Lets see...1. There is a towing sign out front for the idiots who do not know how to park. It turns out the only way someone can be towed is if the front office is informed (I tried to call the towing company). This was about 9 or 10 oclock at night. He said that he had to speak with someone in the front office in order to come & tow someone. Well when the club house is open, which is obviously during the day & people are obviously at work, no one is at the apartment complex because everyone is away at work. So the only time people are parking like idiots is after 7:00 pm, when the club house is CLOSED & there is no one to contact! So the towing sign is irrelevant & pointless!2. I live on the 4th floor & yes there is an elevator....that sometimes works. In the last year that Ive been here it has been out of service at least 3 times, and one of those times it was down for about 3 weeks. Just very aggravating & annoying having to carry groceries up 3 flights of stairs!!3. Speaking of the elevator...when it does work it smells awful! I dont know if someones trash bag continuously busts or what but it stinks! It so bad I almost started heaving. An issue that was brought to the club houses attention & was never dealt with. You can still see the stains on the floor in the elevator, its gross! The apartment itself is nice, just having to deal with the other bs is annoying and can piss you off.
Very disappointing to find out Im paying High rent and living in the High crime area. Our vehicles were broken into and the Maintenance staff nor Management was the least bit concern.I will be moving out of this community .3 Vehicles in 1 night. Thanks courtesy officers. And at move out time they tried to keep my security deposit even though I left the apartment very clean. Shame but I guess they had to try me. SMH. DAMAGE FREE.
I was very interested in these apartments and went on a tour with a gentleman in 2012. At that time a gentleman named Rob calculated my monthly income and told me that I was not making enough income which is three times the rent. I was almost there but not quite. So being that I make over four dollars more an hour than I was back then. I reappear interested in renting one of the apartments. I explained to Galadrial Which told me there were two 2br 2 bath apartments available which was 1019 a mth. I told her I wanted to look at those because I really wanted a big bathtub because I love to take bubble baths. She said they were the only ones available. I called back after leaving to ask the price of the three bedroom with the garden tub. She was at lunch and David answered which was nice and said there is a 2br 2bath with a garden tub available. The rent is $1080 which Galadriel failed to mention. She had given me an app and told me to bring it back the next day with two money orders one $50 and the other $150. Never did she say lets make sure youre ok to put in an app as Rob did or that the market rent is a different term they use and is not the actual rent amount but is a way larger amount that you must make three times more than. So I came at 1:30 like I told her that I would and she wasnt there. I paid and received a call the next day from her saying I dont make enough money. I asked for the application fee back being that my application was never processed and was told I must wait 30 days. I told her that wasnt fair and I would go to the better business bureau and this is my next step she said firmly Go Ahead and hung up on me.Still today Dec 2014. I have not received my check or a phone call regarding this unfinished business.
I dont agree with paying $20 something dollars for valet trash and we are already paying a trash fee of $12....this should be an option not mandatory....some people here have pets but wont clean up after their mess...rent continues to increase
How is the area? Is this a high Crime area? Im considering these apartments but I see on here that some cars have been broken into...this complex is nowhere near the hood is it?
I live here its great!
The office people are rude !
It looks pretty Im going to see it.
