The amenities are fantastic for the price and the grounds are beautiful: theyre wonderfully maintained. Parking is a hassle but for everything else you get its worth it. The windows and antique touches in each unit give it so much character. Isabella in the main office is always patient and helpful- so glad its my new home.

If youre looking for a great and affordable place to live downtown, Cameron Court is hard to beat. This place is well cared for and (from what I understand) is still owned by the same family that built it in the 1930s. Julie and Isabella in the office are wonderful to work with, very easy-going, and actually remember who you are when you see them. Ive had two maintenance requests since Ive lived here, and they were both completed the next day with no hassle (one of them was submitted at 10pm and it was completed before 10am the next day). The courtyard is beautiful, as are the apartments with their original hardwood floors and huge wrought iron windows in every room. For everyone working from home - you can get a 2 bedroom apartment here for the price of a studio/1 bedroom in one of the luxury cookie-cutter apartments downtown. Thats what I did and its nice to have a huge office to work in instead of having to set up shop in my bedroom or living room. Dont let the shared laundry scare you away either; I was a little hesitant about it, but the washers/dryers are super nice and Ive never had to wait on someone else to move their laundry when I wanted to do mine. This is a true gem in the heart of downtown Raleigh and there arent many places like it around here anymore.

Beautiful apartments that are inexpensive for what they are - a period apartment with high ceilings, hardwood floors and original features in the bathroom but updated kitchens, well maintained and truly a gorgeous serene setting in the middle of everything Raleigh has to offer. 10/10

I’ve lived here for 3.5 years and really enjoyed my experience. The design and natural lighting inside the apartments offer a very unique, retro feel that is hard to come by. The staff and maintenance are very helpful and nice. The location is arguably the best in the city. The courtyard makes this place a very peaceful place to live, sit and read, or cookout with friends. The neighbors and community are very helpful and friendly as well.

1930s charm and character with updated amenities. Nice hardwood floors and a large kitchen with granite countertops and modern appliances. And you wont find a residential address in Downtown Raleigh with a great outdoor space like Cameron Court. The courtyard is tranquil and has a great fireplace, pit, and outdoor grill and cooking area. Some apartments have great views of the Raleigh skyline (like mine). The property manager is approachable and personable and reacts to concerns with a sense of urgency. She and her wonderful assistant also coordinate regular events to add to a sense of community here. Maintenance responds promptly and fixes any issues properly.Overall experience here is wonderful. My move in process could not have been smoother! Isabella and Julie are both exceptional to deal with and everything was so easy. Just moved in and the moving process was 10/10. Received clear instructions prior to moving in and Isabella answered all my millions of emails of questions in a timely manner! I put in a maintenance request last night for a few things that weren’t quite up to par, and it was taken care of before this afternoon. The only reason I would give this less than 5 stars during my first week is that the apartments are quite noisy- you can hear every footstep from the neighbors ( understandably, it is an historic building), just something to keep in mind.Love the charm, love the area!

Last week I had to transfer from the Shelton Apartments to the Cameron Court Apartments (my dog is getting older and couldnt make it up the stairs for our 3rd floor apartment). I wasnt happy about moving, and it was such a tight turn around – from the decision to move until I was in the new place was only two weeks. But along the way the Cameron Court staff made my life so much easier! They always help anyway they can and I couldnt imagine moving out of this community. They made a stressful situation go as smooth as possible and helped me problem solve some issues along the way.

Ive been living at Cameron Court for almost a year now and the experience continues to be great. The best feature by far is the large, well landscaped courtyard with its old growth oak trees and grassy areas. To have such an amenity in close proximity to downtown is quite special, and you wont find anything else like it in the area.Besides that, I was also drawn to the historic quality of the buildings with their original steel windows, real hardwood floors, and solid masonry construction. My apartment, along with most if not all, has windows on opposite sides which provide natural light throughout the day and cross ventilation when temperatures allow. I really enjoy having views of downtown to one side and of a park like landscape to the other. The property management team organizes community events and outings on a regular basis, and maintenance requests are always dealt with promptly. I look forward to living here for the foreseeable future.

I just moved in on Saturday, and so far I am IMPRESSED. The location is STELLAR and the staff is amazing. We had an issue with only being given one key and the staff promptly delivered another key along with 2 Starbucks cards! We also missed out on our first choice apartment because it got rented quicker than we could get to it, but Isabella was able to get us in a similar unit for the same price. It was definitely the easiest moving/leasing experience I have ever had. You can’t beat the price and the amazing community! Looking forward to the rest of our time here! I live in the Shelton Apartments at Cameron Court and LOVE IT. I have 2 walk in closets, a super functional layout and a HUGE window to the courtyard with a sill that is big enough for my 60 lb dog to stand in and watch the neighbors and squirrels. The windows in every room (yes, even the bathroom) give natural light throughout the apartment and provide nice breezes on temperate spring days. The kitchen is slightly dated, but I added a cart for my microwave and coffee preparation and havent had a problem cooking in it! I dont miss having a dishwasher or in unit washer/dryer (features I had at previous apartments). The complexs laundry room is SO nice, clean, and free (not coin operated).Almost everyone has pets and you can spot the kitties in the windows from the courtyard. My dog Loki has even made friends with my neighbors dogs and theyve gotten to play. The people (and their pets) are friendly and courteous. This is the first apartment complex (of four) that Ive lived in where I have ever gotten to know my neighbors and its been delightful.Cameron Court is located close enough to the heart of Raleigh to make everything walkable, but far enough from the hustle and bustle that you hardly hear the trains or traffic. As a young female, I feel safe walking or running in the neighborhood at night or early in the morning. (The complex is walking distance to my place of work which makes it even better.)Between the cozy neighborhood, the kind neighbors and the charming apartments, Cameron Court feels like home. I couldnt pick a better place to live.

Spacious apartments surrounded by a beautiful courtyard that feels like a park not in downtown. My favorite part of the apartments are the large windows and their accompanying deep window-sills. Only con, is that the windows are pretty drafty - but given the age of the building this isnt surprising. With that being said, if any issues arise the maintenance staff is attentive, polite, and timely.Yes laundry is in another building, but it is a stone throw away and allows for more space in your apartment. Also, the laundry facility is newly renovated as of last year.Ive never seen an apartment company put in so much effort to show appreciation towards their residents. Isabella, the Concierge, is amazing at her job! She is helpful addressing residents concerns and does such a great job hosting community events. Last weekend she completely transformed the office to a gorgeous residents suite, fully stocked with chocolates, treats, and a Bellini Bar for this months Valentines Day event. Ive never seen an apartment company put in so much effort to show appreciation towards their residents. There are several other events that are unique to our community and makes CC feel like home.

My husband and I moved from California several months ago and have been absolutely loving living at Cameron Court. Prior to moving out here I came for a weekend to check out housing options and accidentally stumbled upon Cameron court. I had initially intended to check out the apartments across the street and when I found them subpar I looked across and saw Cameron court. From the time I walked in and was treated by Isabella and shown the model, to her help with applying and signing the lease, to move in day to today we have been so happy with choosing to live here. The apartments are great - big windows, hardwood floors, renovations but still old and vintage character. The location is unbeatable in terms of accessing downtown but not living right in it. It feels like you live in a little park with lots of trees and grass and a big open patio, which we love for our dog. Oh yes, also super dog friendly!! But by by far the best part about living her is the management - they care about their residents and are happy to fix any issue that arises. I probably won’t win the monthly rent prize for writing a 5 star review, but you people need to see something honest and not paid for with a $100 off rent prize the office does. (And when they don’t get enough 5 star reviews they “extend” the $100 off contest so nobody really gets paid the $100 they promise.) This place is overpriced and nothing but problems. I was lied to when I signed a lease and moved in here with the promise I would be getting a washer and dryer in my building soon. My lease is up soon and that never happened. The manager’s response... “That’s business.” Instead we all have to use a laundry room with machines that are intended for sole family use. Most are regularly broken, they leak water and soap, one even apparently caught on fire over the weekend. The people who live across the street in Boylan also use the laundry because everyone has the code. The cleaning ladies who work occasionally bring their family and friends and it’s a free laundromat on Saturday evenings. Fiesta!!! Also, people bring in their dogs so you get dog hair all over the place and your “clean” laundry. Also, regular water problems, they turn it off and it is brown for hours. Would you feel safe drinking it? The stairwell smells musty because the windows, walls and ceilings leak. Trash is piled up. The view from your kitchen or bedroom window is an overflowing dumpster of trash piled up on the street. There are lots of cockroaches here. It’s just nasty. The whole neighborhood uses it as a dog park and let their dogs poop and leave it. The courtyard is nice but more than half of the trees are dead. Some are completely split in half and just a breeze away from falling on an innocent person sitting on a bench. (Attorneys: please use this for evidence they’ve been aware.)

I’ve been at CC about 7 months now and it’s honestly the only apartment downtown I’d want to live. I seriously try to convince all my friends to move here!

Cameron courts is a great apartment complex for a lot of reasons, the highlight is for sure the location. I also love the pavilion area at Cameron courts as well as the old charm you get from the huge windows and beautiful brick exterior!

This complex is still great. A solid batch of vintage charm (huge windows, fun tile in the bathroom, hardwood floors) coupled with the amazing court yard, free wifi & laundry, and just the location alone make this a fantastic place to live!

Great older apartment with very helpful/kind office staff and maintenance. Only downside is the free wifi advertised never actually works which has been an ongoing issue for 2+ years, and the IT person is unresponsive

I have lived in three communities between Raleigh and Cary and I can say, with confidence, that my current residence, Cameron Court, is the one most deserving of a five star review. The whole experience of living here has been incredibly positive. Isabella in the front office made our move very quick and efficient. She made sure we were happy with our choice by showing us several units before we picked the right one. The community itself is beautiful. It feels like living in a quiet park. Heavily shaded by old growth Oaks and surrounded by beautiful flower beds, youll end up spending more time outside in this private oasis away from the busy streets. The neighborhood couldnt be more walkable. Within five minutes you have several bars, a French bakery, two convenience stores and a pharmacy. The YMCA is an 8 minute walk down Hillsborough. You can walk downtown to Glenwood Ave in 10 minutes and Fayetteville St in 15. What are you waiting for? You know this is where you want to live. City living at its finest.

The best of both worlds -- charming apartments with a lot of character, but with modern conveniences and a great location in the heart of the city.

Its definitely a great value for downtown Raleigh (its within walking distance of Cameron Village, Glenwood South, and Fayetteville St). Personally, Ive found the management to be quite attentive and quick to fix problems (roaches and whatnot) if you call them and report theres an issue. The only real disadvantage is that they are older units- theres no laundry hookups, they can be a bit drafty in winter, and you dont get amenities like a gym or pool. Personally, I think those are fair trade-offs for being able to live downtown without paying an arm and a leg, but ultimately your mileage may vary.

The court yard is the centerpiece to this quaint apartment community, a phrase that sounds repeatedly passed through the marketing filter but was earned organically here. With justly impatient anticipation passerbys surveyed natural materials slowly melding into a quaintly engaging layout that welcomes habitués to savor natures sounds and spectacles fireside. The centerpiece of Cameron Courts community has returned to the Nemophilist reprieve from the flourishing city that surrounds it. Once enveloped by the idyllic contrast of weathered brick and vibrant arbor, its walls faintly dull the boisterous sounds of the city. When you fumble your groceries from the abysmal parking up the court yard stairs the arboretum offers natural peace and serene scenery, its most valuable amenity.

Rats and vermin infestation. Maintenance is incompetent. Manager is a money-grubbing wh ore who does nothing and the leasing agent is absolutely the most ignorant person you could possible deal with.

Maintenence went above and beyond to come out to our apartment for a plumbing issue. He even fixed another problem on the spot without us even mentioning it. That tells me that the employees of cameron court really care about the quality of their apartments.
