This apartment complex has gone thru several owners/management with very little consistency, very poor communication. When we moved out, paid extra to stay an extra month, was suppose to be out by the 5th of that month, we were out by the 1st and turned in the keys on the 2nd. The office checked the apartment and found no issues, was told we would get all our deposit back. A week later, was informed that we had to pay for the 5 days going into the month we moved out, even though we had that time paid for, then pro rated for the water. So instead of getting our 500 back, they only sent us a 100. So any new people moving in here, beware, they are only about the money. They never, ever got rid of the silverfish either. Plus, every year they increase the rent.

I have been familiar with these apartments for a long time now. My uncle has lived there. My moms cousin has also stayed there and as soon as they were able to they were out of there. I have some really good friends that live there now and all they receive is disrespectful staff and management. Now they have new management that took over but that’s not saying much because this is like the 3 or 4 in 3 years. The rent is so high and then u have a problem, a leak. A.c. Down. You would think they would take care of it in a timely manner and they don’t. I could go on and on. Save yourself the aggravation don’t move in here. If they wise up and tack care of there tenants. I promise you they will get a bad review daily. The positive reviews are employees and staff.

I had the WORST EXPERIENCE. First I was told I was APPROVED, then 2 days later they say they couldn’t verify my job which is listed on Google, in SunBiz with FEIN#, has all the same information that I put and submitted my check stubs. They called to verify my employment and the RUDE manager here at the Bentley first questioned how my boss answered the phone and then told her she was calling to verify my employment but hung up instead. When my boss called back all you get is some insurance company, because the Bentley phone isn’t registered to the apartments, but was denied because the way my boss answered the phone per email received and they stated they couldnt verify a place of business that is clearly listed and can be googled. The agent stated my job is not listed in Google, which it is. The Bentley has a Bias management and very discriminating team working there. I would advise you look somewhere else to live. My boss and I have also wrote to the BBB to inform them of this Bias, discriminating result. And they don’t want to fully reimburse me for the application fee that was charged even though they denied me without even checking my job info.

I would highly recommend searching somewhere else for an apartment. There has been issues with management since day one. Our apartment was not ready on the date specified in the lease and they did not communicate that to us. We only found out after doing the final walk through for the apartment. We have dealt with not 1 but 3 occurrences of mold in our apartment. So while we are paying for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment we are only utilizing 1 bedroom and half of the second bathroom. Not only is this a health concern for my my family but for the amount of rent we pay we should not continue to have these type of issues. I have submitted several tickets and emailed the apartment manager and dis not receive a response. I then followed up with the staff in the rental office and the apartment manager finally found the time to call to discuss the issue. Clearly the manager clearly did not read the email because she was not aware of the issues we are experiencing. The most recent issue occurred 12/5, where the ceiling was leaking due to a leak in the unit above us (mind you this unit has been vacant for an entire year). Parking is very limited or you have to pay $25 for a reserved spot on top of the overpriced rent that they charge. They don’t have a corporate office to report issues to they falsely advertise apartment amenities.

So far, a dump. They’re very nice when you’re in the leasing process but once you move in they don’t care. There are a million keys for everything no faub. I didn’t receive all the keys I was supposed to get. I’m still waiting on maintenance requests to be completed after 5 days of putting them in. One of the issues I’m having is MOLD and MILDEW in the apartment and it still has not been addressed. It’s been a week and I’m already ready for my lease to be over.

Communication is a nightmare at this apartment complex. We requested a washer be fixed and it sat for 2 months untouched. I asked every other day for it to be fixed and it took so long for the issue to be resolved, resulting in my apartment smelling like stagnant water. I was also charged ridiculous fees at move out. I brought it to the attention of management so charges could be removed and I have yet to get an answer. I do not recommend this apartment complex. Very very unprofessional and staff can not seem to get on the same page with anything.

Within the complex, they are always searching for new ways to meet & get to know their residents, show appreciation, and improve the overall living environment. Their efforts do not go unnoticed. With that being said, their worst quality is not answering the phone (which, really isn’t terrible). The people in this complex are wild. Some liter, some blast their music (during the day thankfully, but occasionally at night), we’ve had shootings (uncommon) and overall I think that’s just what happens when you live in Lockhart. They try their best to filter out instances like these, which is why I feel like it should be gated and more regulated.

First the bad: My wife and I both have had our cars broken into on two separate occasions. One way in and one way out makes for an extra 5 minutes on your drive if you happen to live in the back. The Good: Beautiful grounds, responsive maintenance, and very quiet buildings. You will have more sound issues from outside neighbors that reside in other buildings than you will from those living in the same building as you inside their apartments. Plenty of parking (although your car isnt safe)

There are pluses and minuses to living here.On the plus side: It’s really quiet, they are pet friendly, the grounds are so clean, the office staff has always been really friendly, the amenities are well taken care of, and they do so many fun events. They’ve had movies at the pool, bark box giveaways every month, bagels, tacos, hotdogs, margaritas, decorating contests, and they always care about the residents. My neighbors have been very nice. There’s a couple of unhappy people but they don’t bother me. The walls are thick, so I’ve barely ever heard my neighbors. I feel safe here. Everything is well lit at night and the residents seems to watch out for each other. On the minus side: I saw the apartment they show everyone on two occasions. It was in great shape but my apartment was not. I had painted/chipping tile in the bathroom, gouges in the laminate floor all over the apartment, barely painted walls with splatter in so many places that I haven’t been able to remove them all after a year, cracks in the ceiling, poorly patched drywall in some places. The electrical scares me sometimes because all of the lights flicker if you turn something on and sometimes if the neighbor turns something on. My fans have died twice and I’ve just allowed them to stay dead at this point. If my apartment was in better repair, I’d have no other complaints. I truly do love the complex, just wish my apartment had been fixed up for my move in.

We only looked at a 1/1 apartment, it was updated and very nice. The apartment also had a pool view. One thing that we loved about the complex is how big the dog park is. Most complexes have a dog park that is the size of a bedroom, but the Bentleys dog park is much bigger. We ended up going with an apartment closer to work (we work by the theme parks) but will definitely look at the Bentley in the future! When you go in to look at an apartment, ask for Whitney! The Pros & ConsFirst the Cons: In response to Cory Cook. Yes their is a recent problem with teens breaking into cars. They will even do it in mid-day. I actually chased them down the street, and notified the office who called the police. I carry protection with me, so I aint afraid of them. Ive been here a couple years & its my second time confronting kids like them. Its usually young kids. The solution would be to hire NIGHT-TIME SECURITY. I wonder if the new management company is willing to do that???? I also live in the back & its dark back here because they havent fixed the two street light that have been out for months. I called the office & they said they called Duke Energy to fix it. They must not know that a electrical contractor can fix street lights also & quicker. Im writing this review because if anything happens, I can have a reason to leave without paying a fine, because management has been notified.I hate the SPEED BUMPS also. Especially the ones near the entrance & the ones right next to eachother. For Christ sake, the community could get rid of half of them. Im sure it would please EVERY tenant. I literally have to drive past 20 speed bumps on a 2 way trip. The Pros: The complex is close to Maitland Blvd, a road that will get you to the interstate quick. The maintenance staff is always responsive, same day usually. The surrounding area is middle class. Not the Hamptons, but not the ghetto either (despite the poser kids that try to break in cars to fit in with the cool kids). The main office ladies are nice, and easy on the eyes. Youll catch feeling if you talk to them, so try to keep it professional. They are at work ;) . Ill give you 4 stars, in hopes that you will respond to my concerns.

Have been researching for months for the perfect apartment and thought Id found it here at Bentley. So I set up an appointment and drove 45 minutes to see my future home. Once I arrived, I was asked to wait an hour to tour any apartments, as they were not yet ready to be seen. A little surprising and frustrating as I had driven a while to only wait an hour, also the clerk seemed to not really care and no apologies or sorrys were given- very unprofessional. I had set the appointment up a week in advance, so I could have a quick and efficient meeting. So I occupied myself in the area all though there wasnt much to do. I come back a little later than an hour to give them more time and they tell me itll be another 15 minutes. They asked me to walk around while they carried on for the apartments to be ready...what? I couldnt believe it. Imagine if I had traveled from the other side of the state! Again, no sorries from either workers. I left, there was no way I was signing a lease only to be run over again and again. Honestly surprised at all the great reviews, I was mislead.

The apartment wasn’t too bad and I actually liked living here because not to many people were in your business. What I disliked about this place the most was that the front office was unhelpful, the manager was very rude, & were unhelpful. Whenever we went to the front office about issues, it was always the same answer, “I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do!” especially with neighbors who were stoned everyday and the smell was coming into our apartment. The apartment is definitely not pet friendly. We wound up getting out of our lease early and we’re told as we were moving out that we “needed to get our dog off property because they sounded vicious” and our animal was on the lease.I definitely wouldn’t recommend the apartment complex to anyone unless you don’t mind rude people in the leasing office and a non-pet friendly apartment complex even though they said they were PET-FRIENDLY. The apartment definitely wasn’t worth the price either. Maintenance was helpful in a way of responding to maintenance orders but were always clueless on how to fix things and could never fix the problems that were called in, and would always say that it wasn’t broken when in fact something was.

Please do not move here! Ive been living in the complex for several months and i am desperately looking for a way out. The roads leading to the apartments are filled with potholes. Ive seen security drinking on the job many times, walking around the property on the phone drink in hand and other times in the car drinking. Maintenance shows up whenever they feel like it, if they even show up. Ive called 24HR maintenance with serious emergencies to no response and no call back, lucky for me my father was a super for many years and was able to help me. My cabinet doors fall off randomly maintenance has come to fix it and i have fixed it myself and i still have the same problem all the wood is warped.Ive had a Mold problem since i moved in i spoke to maintenance several times about the problem, and the only response i received was to lower the temp on my AC. I keep my apartment at a Min. of 69 all day. You can only imagine how much my electric is monthly, Ive had to throw out furniture because of all the black mold growing on it, i clean my apartment thoroughly 2-3 times a week, and still have the same problem. Ive considered calling a building inspector to check my apartment and Ive also considered paying off the rest of my lease and moving out this community. The Rebuilt gym has a total of 4-6 Machines. The laundry room is always dirty filled with bugs and trash. Ive spoken to many of neighbors and they have the same problems with their apartment and management, i have tried many times to reach aspen square management directly however i have been unable to reach them. Ive also learned they will be raising rent and nothing will be included i think that is outrage considering how horrible this community is.

They get cleared out every now and then, but theyre back within a few weeks. Two, I did have my car almost stolen a few weeks in. The Bentley at Maitland will take you if your credit isnt that great, but they will charge you an outrageous rent. $1,190 if youre on time and upwards of $1,300 if youre late! Our washer broke and leaked everywhere, our sink has broken a pipe 4 times, a neighbor had a cabinet fall and impale his arm with rusty screws, our dishwasher broke 3 times in a 12 month period, and no matter what you do, you will ALWAYS have bugs. Small ants that they lovingly referred to as ghost ants. So cute until you find them in your newborns formula. The bottom floor apartments have no carpet, just tough on the feet and back glue down faux wood linoleum. No where to wash your car, they let the pool get DISGUSTING to the point where there is a film on the top of the water. In my honest opinion, if you have any other option, take it. Do not allow these people to continue to take advantage of their residents!

I experienced the worst customer service from the manager Diana - I had asked for a few extra days to pay a rent balance of $145 since I had been sick and missed work for a week, they approved my request but proceeded with leaving a 3 day notice on my door the very next day, as well as charge me a fee of $150 without notifying me. This was on July 5th for the July rent which was due by July 3rd, I told the leasing office rep I would pay my $145 balance that same day but to please not charge the fee, but I was told those are the requirements. Aside from that, the apartments are extremely overpriced for what they provide, the complex is not clean and it is crowded. You do not get a parking assigned to you even with the high rent price; you would have to pay additional if you want a reserved spot. Usually every parking near your apartment is taken and you have to park far, its extremely inconvenient when its raining or you have grocery bags, or kids to take out of the car. Tenants dont pick up after their dogs, you step outside of your apartment and it smells terrible, and be careful where you step. The exterior of the buildings are not kept clean, there are cats running around everywhere, this looks like a shelter community. I highly suggest you look elsewhere, you can definitely find better apartments for a similar price. I had an urgent need to move, but I completely regret signing a contract in this apartment complex. Be careful renting from Aspen Management as well.

Terrible apartment complex. False advertising. Crime, noise, rude office staff, nasty pool and gym, high prices not worth the apartment you’re getting. This apartment is right on the edge of Lockhart and I highly recommend going elsewhere. During my time there the gas station across the street was robbed, my car was broken into, the neighbor upstairs would go begging for pills from apartment to apartment, a man came asking for money after “getting outta jail on a gun charge”, and the list goes on and on. Water leaks never fixed, apartment reeked of mold, horrible experience. I’m happy it was my first and last apartment rental!

Jamie in the front office is rude and completely dismissed me. I went in to talk about the parking issue and how my bfs car got towed. They didnt send out a notice about reserved parking spaces. She just said that if it says reserved, people should just know not to park there. She didnt even apologize or acknowledge the confusion it can cause. They dont care about tenants that have lived there for 3 years. All they care about is money. I will tell everyone I know about their poor customer service.

We moved into a newly renovated apartment in December. It is pretty wonderful we have not had problems with anything in the apartment. We have had issues with the bark park neighbors dogs breaking the fence but once reported the apartment went and fixed it. They do have horrible speed bumps that are at the entrance that scrape your car. They do shut off water every now and then but send out mass texts, phone calls, and emails letting you know when they are going to do them. The pool is wonderful and the gym is super updated and nice. We havent had problems with neighbors or anything like that so it is really comforting to come back here after work. Our main reason for moving in was because they accepted Siberian Huskies and I do not regret moving into this wonderful community.

This place is IN THE GHETTO!! This complex is NOT in Maitland but in Orlando on the boarder of Lockhart (aka the ghetto). Im constantly hearing about cars getting broken into and peoples screened in patios getting slashed so robbers can break in. The complex looks beautiful but the renovations are poorly done. Maintenance always starts a job but never finishes it. I had to call the office 6 times to get them to finish a repair that they had started weeks ago. The office staff could care less about your problems. Theyre extremely quick to dismiss you. It also seems like every time I go into the office they have someone new working there. Obviously this management company is horrible and needs to revaluate a lot of things.

I lived here for almost two years and recently moved out. The first year I moved in they were in the middle of renovations and it seemed promising with all new appliances and the price was right. I did not realize how close it was to a bad part of town until after driving around after completing all the paper work. After moving in everything was ok aside from a carpenter ant problem that ended up going away on its own (maybe my neighbors were quick to complain). I realized that the countertops are not what they seemed in pictures, just vinyl laminate over wood, the cabinets were low quality, and the doors would be constantly falling off but management fixed the cabinet doors quickly each time. They claim each unit has hard wood floors but they do not, just cheap laminate that was not placed down correctly. The unit below me kept having plumbing issues so maintenance would be constantly letting themselves into my unit to fix the issues. Water was constantly shut down. I was unsure about renewing my lease but they had a promotion that you could get a certain amount off next months rent if you renewed within a time period, management said my rent would not be raised by much but would not tell me the price, I was hopeful things would get better because I knew they were still in the middle of renovating, I havent heard of much crime in the area, and moving is such a hassle. My rent ended up being raised so much more than than what the cost of living is worth and the area. I began to notice a lot of car break-ins and yes it was worrisome, but management sent out an email explaining they hired new security. Well, this security only made itself present if called. No one was actually watching the community. I know this because Ive called reporting screaming I could hear from within my unit many nights after I renewed my lease and my vehicle ended up getting stolen. When I spoke to management, they gave me a nonchalant answer and was of no help. I officially did not feel safe living here anymore. I wanted to leave immediately and they gave me issues and stress with that process because of the lease I signed. Its truly horrible to have to pay a thousand dollars to live in a home where you do not feel safe. I am so happy to be out of that place, finally! This place is far from a luxury apartment home. Dont let the photos fool you. Yes it looks amazing in pictures, but the things they try to sell you on do not out way safety and its location. It is NOT maitland.

Ive lived in these apartments for almost 4 years and prior to this recent property management coming on board this was a pleasant place to live. Management does not care about the residents but love our money. Recently, we had visitors in town for the weekend and their car was stolen. As we were speaking with the police another resident rode by and advised that their car was recently broken into also. They said that they went to the front office and nothing was done to make things better. I went down to discuss my visitors car being stolen and was given a nonchalant attitude and told that there is nothing that they can do. There is alot that can be done, such as having surveillance cameras in the front of the complex, they can hire security, or put the gates that they took down back up. How about just make your residents feel like they live in a safe environment. This is one of the many issues that I have with management but this is the most disgusting of the million other things.

Ive lived here for almost 6 months and have been very happy with things. I recently had a major life change and the Staff at the Bentley at Maitland, Lindsey (Manager), Adam, and Elaina all have gone out of their way and above and beyond to help me get things straightened out! I cant say thanks enough to them!Im in a one-bedroom at the moment and Im really happy with it. The flooring is lovely, the all-new Frigidaire stainless steel appliances, the full-size Kenmore washer & dryer all work REALLY WELL, water heater has plenty of hot water (and the temp is adjustable), and the thermostat is digital and easy to adjust.I shopped several other comparable apartments and condos from Winter Springs, Altamonte, Maitland, etc., and these were the best deal for the $$$ (several other apartments and condos I looked at costed more money AND had crappy appliances, many with no washer/dryer).The grounds are improving... they are working hard to spruce the place up and Im sure itll be looking good soon!To the negative reviewers... have you TALKED to Lindsey, Adam, or Elayna about your problems and concerns? They are true professionals and they are always very pleasant and have addressed every issue Ive had courteously and promptly.

These apartments are overpriced for the area (Lockhart, NOT Maitland), the size of the units, and the cheap materials/shoddy workmanship in the renovations. The flooring is uneven and poorly installed, mold in the master bath was obviously just painted over, kitchen cabinet doors were loose within two weeks. Weve been battling a roach problem since February (its now May). Apartments are not cleaned well between tenants--we found the last tenants dirty sock in the laundry closet when we moved in, and old food, roaches, and other bugs behind/under the fridge when it had to be swapped out. I almost lost my lunch cleaning that up.As far as the office staff goes, theyre on their third property manager in three months, which should say plenty. The entire office has such high turnover that everyone is perpetually new to the job, and no one seems to know what theyre doing or whats going on at any given moment. Ive had to make the same maintenance requests two or three times before the work order even got entered into their system, paperwork doesnt get filed even when its submitted in person, and we received a notice about needing a pre-move out inspection that was already done several weeks ago. They charged us higher rent and a month-to-month fee before our lease was up, when they actually owe me a refund. The parking lot is an obstacle course of godawful speed bumps and potholes that shrink and grow but never get properly repaired. A LOT of aggressive drivers here who ignore stop signs and tailgate/pass/cut off other cars in the complex, especially in the morning. Any and all grassy areas are a minefield of dog poop; Ive only ever seen one person clean up after their dog, so watch where you step. The maintenance crew is very nice, and generally prompt when work orders actually get submitted. But dont expect management to approve large repairs in a timely manner. Our a/c unit sprung a leak in December and wasnt replaced until March; in the meantime maintenance would just fill it with Freon when it stopped working, which happened about every other week and inevitably during a heat wave. It took more than two months for a leak in our fridge to be repaired, and something else got broken while they were fixing it. We were without a fully functioning refrigerator or freezer for four days, and had to throw out most of our food. And the replacement fridge we got? Has the same leak as the old one before it was fixed. Apparently this is a known defect with the model of refrigerator used in the renovated units.Every level of management here is a mess, and Id advise renters to go elsewhere.

Ive lived here for just under a year and moving in August but I figured now I have lived here long enough to give my review. I see reviews saying the office staff is rude and that is entirely untrue. I have never had any problems with any of the on-site personnel. Maintenance always came within 24 hours of a request and with the new contract with Massey Ive had no problems with pests.Onto the unit itself. For the size it is definitely over priced but that seems to be the going rate for rentals these days. I was a little disheartened by the stains on the door hinges and just the general cleanliness of the bathroom and baseboards when I moved in but a dousing with bleach on the bathroom...and I contracted no diseases. The kitchen layout is a bit awkward having to contort your body in all sorts of ways to reach into the counter by the kitchen sink but there is plenty of room to have a functional kitchen. And I have s toaster oven and a Keurig taking up room on my counter and I still have enough room so thats a plus.My only problem with the community is neighbors which I know cant be helped but since I work weekends early and a lot of times a neighbor decides that 11pm is a good time to blast their music loud enough to be heard a good building or two over. I wish the units were better sound insulated. It wouldnt be a problem if their response when I ask them to turn it down was THIS IS MY HOUSE. Before they moved in it was a nicer community. All in all this isnt at all a bad place and I dont think the reviews did it justice. Granted this is my personal experience yours may be different. This complex should probably change the name though as its not entirely in Maitland. Its more along the Lockhart and Altamonte border and is close to Maitland Blvd. Also a fresh coat of paint would do wonders for the exterior.

This place is a cockroaches dream land. I wasnt talking about the disgusting infestation taking over every apartment, I was talking about the landlord. A cockroach that sneaks ways to charge made up fees behind your back. I kept my kitchen clean, but I was charged $150 for them to clean it. I lived in this upgrade for 2 months. This is the kitchen I asked 5 times for fixes for the broken sink, leaky fridge, and roach problem.. For 2 months. They also charged me $90 per bathroom to clean. One of which I wanted my toilet fixed, for 2 months... Theyll only do the fixups you put requests in once you are leaving. This place is very shady. Things in my apartment were stolen by the staff. They were doing a bunch of work on the apartment before my lease was up, you see I plan to come back and get my remaining belongings -- but they go missing. You live among a lot of marijuana smokers, and a lot of shady drug dealers roll by peaking in your windows. They charge $25 for a gym key, but dont return it.Dont move here.

I’ve been a resident for more than 2 years here and the complex has lost its appeal. Yes, the inside is updated however, one of its major selling points for me when I decided to rent here was the landscaping. Ever since the community changed management, I really can’t recall seeing the sprinklers ever on...

My husband and I have been living here for about 6 or 7 months. It was great for us at first because we moved from out of state and they were willing to work with us and it was all great. However, when we got here we were a little disheartened to see that our apartment was in the back section (which doesnt even look like part of the complex honestly) and it looks completely run down and old. It is filled with sketchy people, fighting couples, and the buildings look kind of rotted. We assumed that when we signed on for a more expensive, refurbished unit that we would have been in the newer, nicer area. That wasnt a big deal though, so long as we liked the apartment. Although our apartment is extremely small (literally it shouldnt be called a one bedroom), we loved the look of it (new appliances, screened-in patio, washer/dryer). It seemed so nice at first and we were totally fine with what we were paying (over $800/month).Once we moved here though we started looking at more local apartments and found we were overpaying for this unit, especially because this is not in Maitland, its in Lockhart and it is the only nice (safe) part of this whole area. I am afraid to get gas by myself here, or go to the closest Walmart. We also liked the amenities that the complex had, but we havent really been able to use them or enjoy the complex. They have been doing construction basically since our first day here, shutting our water off constantly (yet somehow my water is still about $40 for two people?), and taking most of the time we have been here renovating the gym facility so I had to pay to join a local gym. Our lock was also not installed properly when we moved in, and our key would not work one time when we went out. We were locked out and called the emergency maintenance (it was a Sunday), and offered to show them the lease on my email and ID to prove I rented this unit if they would let us in with one of their universal keys, but they told me they werent allowed t do so. We paid $150 to a lock smith to get in our apartment and HE had to install the lock properly. This happened to our neighbor as well. Our toilet was not installed properly when we moved in either, and after weeks of having to plunge our toilet daily it was able to be fixed. There is basically no way to walk and take our trash to the dumpster because the dumpsters are so far and few, so we have to drive our trash (Im pregnant so walking and carrying is a no go). We have also had problems with the unit itself, like things breaking (part of dryer, closet rack, toilet, cabinets) so that kind of puts a damper on things too. Safe to say, it is not what we were expecting. The staff has generally been friendly, but sometimes we fell they arent courteous to their residents (with all of the construction going on and most of the time without notices), and not all of them are knowledgeable about the residence. We once misplaced our monthly bill (rent+water/sewage/trash), and my husband went to the office to ask the amount to write the check for. He was told an amount that was less than our rent by itself, and I had to send him back in to find out the true amount. Had we not paid the actual amount and not what he was told, would we get charged a late fee? Im not sure.Anyway, it hasnt been terrible but it hasnt been great either. We like the place in general, but for the prices they charge we would prefer a better location, less inconveniences, and a more knowledgable staff. If you have the money to pay for a space here, you might as well check into apartments in local areas like Altamonte Springs and Apopka because they will be a lot nicer, closer to businesses, and safer for your family.
