Heaven in a Barbershop. I did the 25yr package for my first visit and I highly recommend it. Melissa did an expert job on my hair, provided a tension releasing neck and shoulder massage and finished up with an excellent facial scrub. I had a fantastic Manhattan at the bar afterwards to cap off a perfect barbershop experience. Only wish I could have stayed longer. The lounge area is inviting, comfortable and well stocked to any taste. Show up early, have a well made cocktail, beer or top shelf bourbon and relax before you go in and then repeat after your cut and / or shave!

My first time in and first haircut since moving from CA as I retired from the Air Force. I was blown away by the friendliness, setting and professionalism of Scissors & Scotch! Macy did a fabulous job and I am sold on always coming here from now on. Thank You!!!

Michele did an incredible job! I grew my hair out for about 3 years and decided to make a change. Something I really appreciated was that she asked me a few times before bringing out the scissors, Are you sure you want to cut if ALL off?. Michele was very patient with me by making the cut and asking if thats good or if I want to go shorter, we went through a few stages just to make sure I received exactly what I was wanting. On your first visit you get a free drink at their bar as well - nice bonus and their in-house bar is dope! I highly recommend Scissors & Scotch and Michele. I had such a great experience that I will happily make the 45 min. drive to this location every time I need a haircut.

Super professional. Not your typical barber shop. Theres a bar that serves well done cocktails, classic pours, and a few local beers. Noah did a great job on my hair. Forgive me...I cant remember the ladys name that trimmed my beard. But, she was fantastic as well. I didnt understand what I purchased and asked about the straight razor shave when she finished cutting my beard. She kindly told me she couldnt do that and that she was sorry for the mis-communication (she really was kind). I spoke with the gentleman who initially checked me in about not understanding what I booked and he offered before I could say another word to comp that service and then explained the differences to me. I am curious about the memberships and what they come with. My experience was great! I will definitely be back.

Great experience with Caitlin. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will be back for my next one. I loved hanging in the lounge/bar area drinking the Boulevard Tank 7, waiting for Caitlin to do her magic on my hair and beard.

Had manager Kendal cut my hair and was so impressed from the first cut last month I just joined as a member. Looking forward to being able to use any of their locations across the metro once Prairie Village opens by end of July as well. Free drink with every cut and had a Baileys with coffee in the morning with Jameson and brown sugar. Great way to start the weekend! Highly recommend.

Not bad. Loved their bar area and the friendliness of the receptionist. There were a number of boxes and brooms and stuff here and there which have it a little feel like they just moved in, but theyve been open for a few years. Hair cut looks great, the old fashioned tasted great (albeit a tad sweet), and staff was nice. Id get back.

This is the best place hands down! Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. I’ve been seeing Melissa do my boyfriend’s hair for over a year and was amazed at her talent so I decided, even as a female, to have her take over my depressing hair. In result, I had her shave it in April and I’ve been letting her do her magic since. Once it was long enough for a trim, we decided to do a fade and let the top grow! This is the first time in over a decade that I have LOVED my hair and couldn’t have gotten to this point without the beautiful, talented MELISSA!

First time in. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. The service was top notch. More expensive than other places, but more than worth it in my opinion. The excellent bar attached was just icing on the cake.

Went in to a design of a lotus flower shaved in to my undercut Shel (sp?) handled the lotus flower for my undercut and did an excellent job! She even went above the design I had brought in, by adding depth to the different petals in the design. A great experience all around and Ive already booked my next appointment and we’ve decided on a new design for the next time I come in.

I enjoy Scissors & Scotch very much! Its nice for a guy to be able to feel like he is being catered to in a masculine way the same way that women are at salons in a feminine way. My only negative would be that the bar seemed to be restocking or something when I was there and the focus was more on that then the customers. Im sure this was just a matter of timing.

Love the atmosphere. The place smells like what I imagine Pierce Brosnons apartment smells like.Really cool, cozy bar on one side where you can get a drink before your service. Stylist did a great job on the cut, great work with the razors on the shave and cleanup work on the sideburns/neck. Good selection of product.The 25 year service is about what Id expect to pay from a top level stylist, and its kind of nice to have the service and haircut more centered around a mens cut. Ill definitely be back.

Came on a training day, but quality certainly wasnt diminished. So considering they take that much care in training, I can only imagine coming back will be of similar quality. Had a great cocktail last time around too - makes it worth it.

Amazing experience 20,000,000/10 would recommend. If you are looking to get away from sports clips come here. The price is definitely worth it. The lady that cut my hair did my hair how I have been wanting it for years. I have never gotten it like this until now. I am coming back here again. Everyone is so nice and just friendly and the shop makes you feel welcomed and not out of place. I love it they took the time to get to know me and what I wanted and not guess what it was that I showed them. With sports clips I also got tired of not knowing if the same hair stylist is still there or she left so I got tired of that too. I loved it and I would come here again and again and again. I’ll also recommend this place to all my friends and family. This is where a guy should come to get a hair cut.

They do an excellent job with the hair cut and all other services plus their prices are a great deal. You cant beat their happy hour prices for their drinks. I recommend this establishment for all their services.

Had a cut with Anna. She was patient, attentive, and gave me one of the best cuts I’ve ever had.. The old fashioned at the bar wasn’t half bad either.

My stylist was professional and personable. She turned my 12 month mane into a casual professional look that my wife definitely appreciates. The atmosphere was laid-back. And while they are trying to sell memberships, they arent the least bit pushy about it all. Overall I had a wonderful experience and will be back, probably in less than 12 months.

A place where you definitely get what you pay for. A haircut will run you $30-50 bucks with included beverage, the experience is premium, the staff is informed and informative. I recommend checking it out.

I called same day for a walk in and they were able to fit me in with Noah. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted promptly and ushered to my seat by Noah. Not only was he great at his job but he was great conversation during the short period of time it took to cut and style my hair.Noah consulted with me on my style of cut and he listened to every word and Ieft the shop as a happy customer. Started growing out my hair and honestly never experienced having to know what type of cut I needed to keep it at my desired length and style. Also to note, Ive never been to any other stylist because my style of choice was fades and tapers, until my awful experience with him cutting longer hair. So which led me to Scissors & Scotch with Chali. My first cut with her was a journey of knowledge for styles and products. Just that experience gave me a better idea of what my style was and what products to use. To top off the satisfaction, you end with a complimentary drink of choice. I recommend this place to all men looking for a time away from the hustle and bustle!

My stepson had been going to a couple of barber shops and they were butchering his hair. I called around and got a recommendation for one of the barbers at Scissors & Scotch. I was looking specifically for someone who could help fix some issues from a few bad haircuts and give him some lessons in taking better care of his own hair. I wanted it to be a nice experience and not his step mom nagging him about his hair. Chali came highly recommended, hes been twice, shes been amazing and my stop son LOVES his new hair and seeing Chali! I think the packages are a great deal too.

Im writing to describe what could only be described as a horrible, embarrassing experience, while I have always had a great experience at s+s prior. The most recent encounter can only be described as horrifying and personally embarrassing. I scheduled my appointment days in advance, and confirmed via text twice. Only to be called by Kelsey in an attempt to reschedule my appointment an hour before my scheduled appointment. As I have a new baby at home napping during my appointment and another on the way any day, a simple reschedule was not going to suffice and I stated I would like to keep my appointment. After this I was told that I made the stylist uncomfortable the last haircut I had. When I pressed for any indication as to what I did wrong I was simply told that through the course of my haircut I had stated that another stylist normally cuts my hair, and since I had only a thin window during naptime to schedule that I indicated that I would accept any stylist and this made them uncomfortable. I was not provided anymore details. After I was told that I made this person uncomfortable, I stated that I would simply cancel my appointment and take my business elsewhere. A manager contacted me about an hour later and just restated that the stylist was uncomfortable and could not give me any information as to why stating that I could have another appointment on another day, but to be honest the whole experience was embarrassing and has left me wondering what I could have possibly said to this woman to have her refuse to cut my hair? So rather than assign me to another stylist and keep the appointment they choose to embarrass a customer and make things extremely uncomfortable, as well as strip them of something that should be a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. Extremely embarrassing and disappointing. I will not recommend S and S anymore.
