This was my first time there and was very impressed! Everyone was very friendly and Nick did amazing on my nails! He was so sweet and easy to talk to. He did my nails exactly how I wanted and perfected the shape and color! Kim did amazing on my nail art. Their prices are affordable and I will for sure keep going! I love how kind and sweet everyone was from the moment I stepped in, to the moment I left! I definitely recommend Kim’s Nails & Spa!

I am glad I went to Kim’s nails my pedicure with gel nail polish is beautiful and along with that I love the painting, gems and design. It is beautiful and they go above and beyond. I went for a pedicure and the technician tried to remove my calluses with what looked like a large cheese grater. She ended up shredding my skin on the top of my toes until I bled. I had to instruct her to stop twice even while I was bleeding she didnt stop. The owner came over to give me a bandaid but didnt apologize. They then handed me the bill!! I will never return to this nail spa.

I had the worse experience in this place, I would not be going back, they are rude, unprofessional and completely messed up my nails. My cuticles have blisters all over and hurt like hell. The lady who did my pedicure didn’t take her time at all. Felt like a total waste of money

I had a spa pedicure today and the woman who did my pedicure did a horrible job. First she cut the cuticle on my big toe way too close and inside to my skin which was very painful and my toe started bleeding. She had a hard time getting it to stop because she got in there too deep. She kept adding a blue liquid to my toe. I assume to help stop the bleeding. But it didn’t and she had to get more of this blue liquid from a coworker. I had no idea what she was putting on my raw bleeding toe. Then she scraped the skin off of the sides and back of my heels so bad they are cracked and extremely painful. She told me to put oil and lotion on it. I can barely walk it is so painful. I will not be going back here but YMMV.

I went in with poorly done nails from another salon and Nick was able to give me acrylics that were exactly what I wanted! He spent a lot of time making them beautiful and was very careful. Clean place and great service!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!I was told on price, then when it was time to pay it was a different story. I then asked for a base of dip powder on my nails, she used acrylic powder and she tried to tell me it was the same thing and still made me pay an extra 10$! Very disappointed this experience and will never go back.

My friend brought me here on Saturday and we got pedicures. Kim took great care of me! She recommended I get the sea salt scrub. I took her suggestion and it was wonderful! My feet are so soft and it felt great to be pampered. Everyone working was very nice and friendly. We all had great conversation and laughed a lot. I will definitely be back!

They take their time on my wifes nails and pedicures and do a great job of applying the nail polish to the edges as well as the top.She went to many places before she found Kims. I just know she loves this place.

Walked in to get the gel polish removed from my hands and feet. My fingers and toes were not wrapped instead she used dremel tool and a few times it got hot and I had to say something....Ouch! Charged $20. What a rip off. This salon is not clean.

Im pretty regular here. Whenever I have had nails chip or break they are great about fixing them without making a fuss. They accommodate large parties and have great variety of gel polishes which is what I always get.

With all of their precautions for Covid, the place looks like a war zone. No effort was made to address the esthetics of their efforts. Wont be going back!

They do a wonderful job every time Ive come in they have gone above and beyond to make my nails and toes look wonderful. Ive been coming to Kims for a couple of years now for synthetic nails, and my husband and I come in for pedicures together now and again. All the staff are friendly and helpful. They do a great job, my nails are always beautiful when I leave and the fill lasts at least 3 weeks and still looks good. My husband has a pedicure girlfriend who always asks after him if I go in without him, joking around and asking why I didnt bring in her boyfriend. Its always a pleasant experience going in to get pampered. I wont go anywhere else!

Kim and Nick are THE BEST! I have been coming for years to them and now my mother has been coming with me as well the last 3 years. We both get the star treatment when we are here! Great place to be pampered.

Quality has gone downhill. Had been here a few times before and had fairly good experiences. Went today and not good. Nail cut was poor, message was ok. For $32 the price is close to right, more like 20.

Live nearby and wanted nothing more than a relaxing pedicure. Definitely found it at Kims Nail Spa! Very nice woman gave a very long and luxurious pedicure, I will return for the Deluxe Pedicure which includes a scrub, mask/ hot towel on feet, and wax dip/peel for $35! Clean, welcoming and wonderful.

Reviewing Kims Nails in Edina. Extremely disappointed! One of the worst manicures Ive ever had in 20+ years. It was my birthday and I wanted to get a gel/fill. Shortly after requesting a square shape, and a little shorter length my experience turned in to the manicure from hell. A length was agreed upon prior to shortening the nails. In rapid succession all 9 of my finger nails were basically removed!! Literally shortened to a smidge above my fingertips with the drill. My nails were destroyed. I was audibly saying OW. OW. OW. from pain caused by the drill which was drilling away my nails and flesh. Not only did I experience heat searing into my fingertips and behind my nails, but I swear, at one point I smelled burning flesh. The manicurist just giggled. WTH? I informed the manicurist that she not only hurt me, but totally cut my nails off. I couldnt leave ..... I was in the middle of getting a fill. The manicurist inquired if I liked the color at one point in time, and because my eyes were tearing over, honestly I couldnt even look at or think about the color of my nails. The manicurist inquired AGAIN if I liked my nails. I informed her that I was very SAD and wanted to cry. Further, I DID NOT request uber short nails. The manicurist consulted with a coworker and informed me that instead of $35 for her services today, I would only pay $30. At checkout, the manicurist reiterated the price of $30 instead of $35 for todays services. I said that I had no issue with paying for the services today, however, she needed to understand that she ruined my nails. The response? They grow back. Yes, yes my nails will grow back. However, please know that I will NEVER be coming back.

I went there with my mother for her birthday this year week and had a horrible experience... the woman doing my nails was seemingly crabby (even though I had an appointment and just simply asked for a gel manicure). She made three of my fingers bleed as she was jabbing away at my cuticles... and to top it off... she didnt apologize or let off until the 3rd bleeding finger.... once she started on the clear coats, she dug her long natural nails under mine after every single coat (there were 5!!) overall... never had an experience like this but it was horrible... never going back! Also- dont think they used clean instruments...

I came in requesting to get a gel manicure with a specific cut style for my nails I even came with a picture so that they could see exactly what I was talking about as I was unfamiliar with the cut style name while the nail techs were friendly when coming in I showed the picture to my nail tech who looked uncomfortable She continued to ask me to look at my picture and it seemed like she was asking her colleague what kind of nail shape she should be doing because he kept telling her coughing and she was telling him not coughing it’s rounder she even advised me of this my nails look horrible I could tell she was not confident with what she was doing an intern it was noticeable on my hands if I could submit pictures I would I went to another nail salon because after paying $125 for my nails and my sisters nails We were both extremely unhappy I went to another nail salon to see if they could do anything they told me that the way that the nail tech filed my nails it would be too much damage I still have acrylic on my fingers that won’t come off and I just got these done on Saturday I don’t even want to go back for an attempt to fix because my fingers still hurt from the filing that she was doing when I went back to a different nail shop they told me the style that she cut was claw and should have been ballet toe So now I’m stuck with nails that are not even the color that I asked for they gave me pink and white and I gave them a neutral tan color that I wanted on my nails I’m so unhappy

Theirprices are decent but their nail job not so good. The lady who did my nails did not even completely fill in my nails with the acrylic powder, the nail shaping was awful and gave me a slightly different color than what I asked. The treatment was excellent, there was a couple of moments when she’d file them harshly and hurt me. Overall would be hesitant to recommend.

My cousin liked going to this place, the very first time I didn’t like what Kim did so much but after going again and having Nick fix my nails that I got done elsewhere I decided I’d go back to see him. Sunday I called To set up two pedicures and to fills I did request that Nick do my fill over the phone they said it would be OK. Once we got there to get our pedicures staff seemed unpleasant and unfriendly. The pedicure I received was for sure the worst pedicure I have ever gotten!!! They barely scrubbed my feet in and the pedicure took all of 20 minutes. Then when I move on to get my nails I asked if Nick would be doing them (as I requested) seemed as if no one wanted that to happen I asked again because I requested him over the phone they had me take a seat at his chair.Nick seem pretty disturbed and bothered that I wanted him to do my nails again however I went on with the service after getting my nails done and looking at them he left them very thick with our acrylic and very very thick polish I am unhappy and will never return our refer anyone to go out to this nail salon. I believe they deserve zero stars poor customer service and even a poorer nail service!

I got a good pedicure here im not going to lie but I had a very uncomfortable experience; one of the nail technicians kid was very curious and kept asking questions to some customers. I can understand that hes a kid but isnt a spa suppose to be a place to relax? Plus I find it very rude when Im getting a pedicure and the person doing it stops to chat with the person next to them. Now I know I wont be coming here again

Awesome pedicure by Kim. I have problems with my feet, but she takes care of them better than my doctor! Spend the little bit more and get the $35 treatment-well worth it! Nice foot and calf massage. I feel great!

Ive gone to this salon a few times and Lisa does an amazing job. She listens to what you like and I also love her suggestions on a polish that goes well with my skin tone and personality. She takes her time and very easy to chat with.

I started coming to Kim Nail Spa because they were so friendly. I started getting my nails done by Kim the owner (very nice). what I dont like is that Kim pays too much attention to everything else around her, the other co-workers and people coming in the door etc. I would like more personal attention on my nails, I experience cuts and I feel like she is just rushing to get the next customer in the chair. I heard one customer say to her once are you angry why are you so rough? I think I will be looking for another nail salon

I went to Kims Nail Spa last Saturday to get acrylics done before a busy week. I bite my nails when Im stressed and had a particularly stressful month and decided to treat myself. I used to get acrylics regularly but have cut down due to cost & inconvenience, but again, I decided to treat myself! While that might have been a great idea, going to Kims was NOT.My experience was very meh: my nail tech was aggressive with my hands, not very patient, and seemed very annoyed by my request that she trim my cuticles (I dont mind the additional fee, but its a must for me before application of acrylics). I could tell that she was rushing, but thought, shes the pro--she knows what shes doing. On top of that, she told me the color I chose was no good and to pick another. I chose another similar one and she said that bottle was unusable as well. It took me getting up 3x to find a bottle in acceptable shape - an issue that they could easily fix by buying some new polishes, as theirs were all crusty and old.My nails looked OK. I was happy with the shape of them but they were too thick and chunky. Since the application ONE WEEK AGO, Ive had 5 (FIVE!!) separate nails pop off of my fingers. The first while I was turning the heat on the crockpot up, the second while I was pulling on a pair of jeans - I was not putting any stress on these nails at all. I went back after the first popped off and they fixed it for free, but since then, Ive had four more pop off and Ive been keeping them on with superglue just to get through the week as I dont have the time to continually go in and get my awful nail job fixed.Overall, a very disappointing experience and waste of money. Will not be going back or recommending to any friends. Do not go here for acrylics if you want them to stay secured on your nails for more than 2-3 days..!

I usually would give this place a 5 as I usually have a great experience (which I had I previous Saturday getting a pedicure) but for this time I was not satisfied. I went with my mom for manicures and they were somewhat busy. We wanted the new Crome look which she said they couldn’t do unless we did acrylic. So we went with different colors. She asked my mom several times if she wanted a flower, my mom said no every time but she said she would do it cuz she had a nice smile. What I wasn’t satisfied with was then I was charged for it.Also felt very rushed and didn’t get the treatment I have gotten previous time as there were more customers coming in. I felt like they wanted us in and out. Hopefully a better treatment next time.....

They guarantee their gel polish for 2 weeks and are very helpful if you chip something and need a repair at no cost. Ive never been a regular at a nail salon before but I keep coming back here every 2-3 weeks because of the quality. They put extra coats of polish on compared to other salons and really take their time to make sure everything looks great. I would highly recommend!

Before taking my word, please take the time to read the other reviews below mine. Many people agree that Kim, the owner is a dishonest person and does not care about her customers. Kim’s Nails is absolutely terrible! My mom and I have been here on multiple occasions and have been lied to by Kim. She says they don’t have a certain polish when we can see it sitting next to a table beside us. She has lied about pricing & overcharged us by $10 and said that has always been their rate. In addition, she will work on 3 people at the same time, while ANSWERING phone calls. She does not allow the other techs to do so. The nails obviously turn out mishapen & messy. I do not recommend coming here. If you would like to check out my favorite nail salon, it is V Nails in Hopkins. They have a wonderful, honest, hard working owner, Ann. Her employees are top knotch and you can expect excellent manicures and pedicures there!

Nick is fabulous. Took great care of me. I did pay $5 more for the salt scrub but he didnt push me to do it and it was well worth it. My pedicure is great. Friendly. Clean. Professional. Relaxing! Been coming here for years.

Compared to my experience at other nail salons, this would have to be the lowest quality. I went in to get a gel manicure (and I always get gel manicure). Did I mention manicure? Because she barely even did my nails to make it all .. Idk... Manicured. Barely filed my nails down when I asked if I could get squared shaped. Even left one of my nails uneven and I had to ask her to make it even (and yes it was extremely noticeable because I broke my nail). She didnt even ask me to go wash my hands even though there was dust and all from filing my nails. She even thought it was okay to run the lotion and massage my hands with all the dust still all over my hands! So Im left with gel nail polish that has some grit to it from not washing my hands and was hurried out the door. Sadly disappointed, but now I know to not return.

They mimic the photo of the nails the girls wanted. My nails turned out perfect. I have been to many different nail spas to find the very best for me and my daughters we finally found one and we will be getting them done again

Whoever goes to Kim’s nail must ask for the price of what you’re doing first. Because I’ve been tricked to payed a $60 gel nails when it’s actually $27. Kim’s a liar and I will never go to that place again. My friends have gone to Kim’s nails and they said that Kim has charged them extra without them knowing until the bill came home on their card. You can tell that their supplies aren’t even clean. That place is very unhygienic. It’s fine if you guys disagree with me.

I happened to be in the area and decided that a pedicure would be nice. I was greeted promptly and seated. No introduction, she did not introduce herself, nor did she ask me my name. After being told to select my polish color and getting started, I was told that the color I picked is an additional $3.00.I ask why? Because it changes color, I dont want a color that changes! But thats what I picked, there is no changing it now. Six times I was asked if I would like additional services, but never asked my name. Badgered about doing my nails. If they focused more on customer service and less on raping you for more money, I might go back.

My daughter took me there for my mother s day gift n when we got there we got served but was rushed thru the manicure. She put flowers on as she wanted not by my request n then charged my daughter. The owner has always had an attitude with me. But I overlooked it because other techs were doing my nails. Last straw was her doing my pedicure and manicure this time. She was so rude and kept leaving me to do other things in the shop, that were seemingly unnecessary. I wanted her to fix a smudge and she damn near threw the light on my lap. I dont need to keep paying $70 for this type of treatment, and wont patronize this shop again. Zero stars truly.

Horrible experience. Everything was gross looking. None of the instruments were sterile or appeared clean. The gal doing my Mani texted on her personal cell the entire time....even in between paining my fingers. At one point she sneezed into her left hand and proceeded to go about the manicure with out washing her hands. The gal who did my pedi kept stopping and talking to her coworkers. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Im generally not a picky person but this was a horrible experience.

Very disappointed in the service I received from Kim. From the moment I walked in she was rude. She also tried to make the price higher twice after the initial price we agreed on. She treated me as if I was scum when I changed my mind. And after all of this hassle, 3 of my nails smudged when I was told they should be dry. I am so saddened this happened. Came here with gf service was extremely rushed and the lady wouldn’t stop trying to upcharge me after declining her previous attempts. She also was being very rude . She was talking in her language and then joked about how my feet haven’t been cut in a year . Then when I went to pay and tip she complained about how much I was going to tip her. I guess you get what you pay for . I would never come back. Nail places are a dime a dozen and this one is nothing to write home about. I went in yesterday for a gel manicure and I selected my color, but the technician couldnt find that color and instead of telling me she selected a different similar color. She seemed rushed. After the first coat of polish on one hand I said i didnt like the color, but she said wait till the second coat. So I did, but still didnt like it, but at this time i did not have time to change it. I also tried to use a $5 off coupon of a service of $20 or more, but they refused to take it and told me to use it on a pedicure next time instead even though gel manicure is $25. I gave the coupon to another customer and will not be back.

I was treated terribly at kim’s nails. i simply asked for a gel french manicure, and Kim herself was doing my nails. she didn’t take off any of my cuticles, lightly slapped my hand instead of asking me to switch hands, was talking on phone for the majority of my service, and didn’t answer me when i tried asking her how her day was, etc. but once i handed her a $5 tip she complimented me twice and i’ve decided i’m not going back to kims nails.
