Lived here in 2005 and I paid $565 for the Chelsea. Was great at the time. Loved my cute little unit and the washer/ dryer in the closet! Perfect for a 20 year old single chick..I see now the rent is over 1500 π³ unreal. Honestly not sure its even legal to raise rent that much, but merica. Anyway, cheers to capitalism
I have a ROACH infestation in my apartment and have tried to call the leasing office for two straight weeks and have left 8 voicemails with no call back. Iβve requested a manager to call me and still havenβt had a call back. Iβve stopped by the leasing office multiple times during the day and the building is locked. Iβve spoken with a few other tenantβs with roach infestations and no one seems to be getting any help! Itβs unsanitary and disgusting that this isnβt a major issue to them.
We lived in Parliament for a year (06/2020-06/2021). They were honestly pretty great during COVID: offering to waive late fees for rent, providing resources, flexible/safe amenity use. For the location I would honestly say they charge a fair price, the only downfall was the walls were a little thin (if youre a light sleeper like me) and the parking/towing. The front office/facilities staff was always very prompt in getting back to us, super great with missing packages and lost keys-- overall very friendly and polite. Location is great for parks/green space, good restaurants and highway access.
We moved out 8/21. We gave our 60 day notice on time, in writing. They ignored that. We forwarded the original email giving 60 days notice around day 45, before our lease ended, when Alan asked us if we would be renewing. The Parliament is charging us rent for an apartment we dont live in. It is now 9/9. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. We called Maxx properties directly. We were told this would be resolved 9/1. It was not. The Parliament has been aware of this problem since 8/1. Every email we send, we send to the entire leasing staff. We leave messages. The Parliament refuses to respond to us. They refuse to correct their error. They refuse to respond to us in writing, responding to everything by phone call, even after being asked multiple times to respond by email.Maybe this review will catch their attention? Probably not. If they respond and tell me to call them, my answer is no, you may email us. We now require all contact to be in writing.UPDATE: On 9/15 the Parliament replied Hello, Bella. Due to the nature of your concerns, we think it would be best if we spoke with you directly. Please stop by our office at your earliest convenience so we can discuss these claims. We look forward to speaking with you soon. -The Team at Parliament ApartmentsMy response to their response:I will not be doing that. Let me copy and paste my *clear* instructions from my original review to reiterate why I will not be doing that. If they respond and tell me to call them, my answer is no, you may email us. We now require all contact to be in writing. And they did contact us by email (9/15). It says Hi (my fiancΓ©s name). The amount in the portal is incorrect. your file is being worked on this week I will let you know by Tuesday afternoon after we finish.Im not sure what thats supposed to mean, but I did add it to this review for clarity purposes. Tuesday will be 9/21, today is 9/15. 9/21 is a full month after our lease ended.
Recently moved into parliament apartments! Brittany was extremely helpful in finding the right unit to fit our needs. Everyone in the office is very kind and supportive. After visiting 6 apartment complexes with similar square footage - we chose parliament because of the competitive price & the priority placed on us finding what worked best for us. Brittany also did a great job managing the paperwork/approval of our application & getting us into our unit within 7 days of our original tour!! Thank you, Brittany!!!
Maya Dahl storm is an amazing employee! She was super nice, knowledgeable, and really sold me on my place.
I moved into this apartment over the summer after visiting 12 other apartment complexes. Parliament Apartments won out of any of them in the same price range. I have never seen 490 sq laid out so well (mine model is the Chelsea) . Here was my wish list and they hit them all: Quiet! Some road noise but definitely not bad. Only one common wall in my unit and it is completely quiet in my apt. Central Air (most comp apts have a window unit similar to a motel that sucks in the summer), Washer and Dryer stacked in the walk-in closet, new or remodeled appliances, and kitchens with a big island - you can be a chef in it easily! Pets are allowed with certain restrictions, commonly you can get a free month with a lease. Parking is fine, the property is wooded with big Pines, maintenance comes the day after you submit a work order online(my experience so far), great office staff. Public Storage sits literally off the parking lot if you need it. I am rigorously honest in telling you I have never been happier in an APT complex so far. Shopping is close and good stores within a mile on Hampton - Target, Whole Foods, King S, and others in range with parks very close by. I dont understand some other reviews that are negative - but some people write them because of one incident, etc. I give it 5* for the price, location, and surrounding community. If you work in DTC it is a no brainer. If youre searching in the area, I would check it out - you may save some time apt hunting. ;)
Rented from Parliament for about 9 months. Although there were some problems that occured with the unit; dishwasher falling out of its alcove, thermostat not working, sinks not draining etc etc. The maintence team were quick to come and fix it and I think we waited no longer than one day for a fix from their team.We had sent our 60 day notice to vacate 90 days in advance and the only person we had ever talked to in the leasing office had resigned. We didnt know this and were contacted about 40 days from our lease end asking what our plans were. I was worried that we would be dinged and would have to pay a fee for not letting them know that we were moving since it didnt get to them directly. After going in and talking with the office staff about the situation our notice was honored and we didnt have any trouble with vacating fees. This was a great apartment, friendly staff in the office and from the maintnence team. I would probably stay if I wasnt moving out of state for school. The only complaint I can offer is that coming home late at about 8pm its hard to find parking but I dont blame that on the apartment staff.
Lived here five years already and its been great through all that. Maintenance and leasing office people are always helpful. My one complaint is that pre-COVID the hot tub was always broken. Like always. And parking can be a little rough sometimes but its really not a terribly long walk no matter where you park. They maintain it well and the rec room is nice. The property managers are awesome and responsive and always helpful.
I am a travel nurse and when I arrived to Denver the housing I had secured fell through. I called and toured on a Monday, and was approved before the end of the business day Tuesday; I moved in Wednesday. The apartment itself was nice with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. I absolutely love the storage closet that is outside of my door as well as the gate to my patio area. I did have a couple of maintenance issues which where fixed within a couple of days of submitting my request with the exception of my stove (I dont cook much though so it was not a big deal for me but I am sure it would be for others). It was also nice to have a washer and dryer in-unit. My utilities were never more than $80. Parking is not great but I made it work. It is also very close to two parks and a small shopping plaza. I almost extended my contract and would have extended my lease as well. Moving on to a new city and I wish I could take my apartment with me!
I wish so badly I could give this place negative stars. Please dont rent here, Countless hidden charges and horrible people working at the leasing office. Our gross rent was $1,645 and through hidden charges made up by the parliament staff we were charge $2,100. We have been dealing with this issue for 9 months straight. If youre thinking about leasing here, dont walk, RUN away. I have never been closer to breaking a lease in my entire life.
Get ready to be woken up by fire alarms in the middle of the night and early in the morning on a regular basis! Sometimes multiple times in the same week even.
Hidden fees everywhere! During covid I have looked at all the other apartments and all their amenities have stayed open. Parliament doesnt care about your safety they just are about saving money. if you are employed you cannot work out here. its open from 10am-6pm. The pool is completely drained as well as the jacuzzi. This place is truly the worst, you are not saving money by renting from these people, pay the extra $50 or $100 for another apartment complex in the area.
I have lived at Parliament Apartments for a little more than 2 months. My apartment is nice and in a good location. Ernie the maintenance guy is awesome. He is professional and has taken care of all my work orders quickly. I really appreciate all he does.
I lived at the parliament Apartments for a little under 2 years, leaving because I am moving to a new city. Its not perfect - people break the hot tub more than other complexes Ive lived at, and it can take a while to get fixed, and some annoying complex rules but most complexes have them - type stuff. The staff that works there has been nothing short of amazing. Elizabeth, Alan, and Natalia have always worked with me, been incredibly reasonable and are absolutely the reason why I renewed. The maintenance is quick and kind. The complex is very dog friendly and all the staff knew my dog, which was a very nice personal touch. The staff made living here a breeze. Best Wishes Parliament!
I had the pleasure of viewing of this beautiful community this past weekend. Full stop, stunning!! Alan, the leasing agent that gave me the tour was so professional and kind! I went with another community due to my price range, otherwise I would have definitely chosen to live here. Out of all the communities Ive toured this one was the best. You can really tell the staff cares for the residents.
I have absolutely loved my time here at Parliament apartments! Alan and Natalia have been awesome to work with. They have made the transition a super easy process for me and they have answered all of my questions/concerns. Everyone in the leasing office has been friendly and efficient in getting back to me. Looking forward to a fun summer here! Cheers!
Management/Staff has been very helpful. Ive lived in two units so far and everything was a breeze. Affordable in a great location!
The treatment of most of the people who work in the leasing office is good but when I complained about my neighbor who turned his music so loud, nobody did anything to him other telling him to stop but he did not care. He stopped for couple days and he started again. I was like I pay 1355 plus utilities and I am not living comfortably, so that is not fair. They did not care.My carport that I used to pay for 45 each month sometimes got occupied with different cars. I did complain and nobody could do anything to tow the car, so get yourself ready to do all the work to be able to tow the car from calling the tow company, explain the situation, and send an email with pictures hoping that you will get a truck. If your carport get occupied with a different car when the office is closed, then forget about your carport cuz the tow company wonβt send a truck if the office does not confirm it and there is no way for confirmation when the office is closed.
Website shows a bunch of floor plans that apparently dont exist according to the person you speak with when you call for details i kept asking about the chelsea 489 sq ft apartment and she kept giving me information on other apartments saying the chelsea doesnt exist. Why the hell would I ever rent from a place that cant do the simplest and most basic thing of keeping track of their apartment information? Also to anyone renting out there, dont ever trust a place that changes rent based on when you decide to move in or to call for pricing. Its a scam to jack up the price when they feel like it.
Ive lived at Parliament for the last 2 years, and have loved it! I will miss this apartment complex! The office and maintenance team are incredibly helpful and efficient. Shout out to Alan, for always answering my questions and just being a genuinely great guy! Thanks for making my first 2 years in Denver awesome!
I enjoyed my time at Parliament. This complex is a good affordable first apartment option. That being said, you do get what you pay for - it is very obvious this complex was quickly and cheaply updated, there are few amenities, and some interesting folks have been moving in lately. My biggest complaints are the lack of parking and this strange gurgling that comes from the kitchen sink.Overall, it was a good experience.Natalia is always extremely responsive and maintenance is quick to take care of your needs.
Parliament Apartments is great. I saw mixed reviews online on the office staff when I was looking at the complex however after visiting in person I fell in love with the building and the office staff has taken great care of me while living here!My water heater broke (while I was on vacation!) and the office called me every day to update me on the progress & Michael (my leasing agent) even went to check on my dog who was in the apartment when the heater broke before my dog sitter got there. He and Raajan the Property manger have been so helpful repairing any damages and getting me reimbursed.I regularly travel and Michael is always helpful is getting my dog walkers access to the building or coordinating parking.Parking on the street does fill up fast but I have never had an issue with one or two friends coming over. The place is quiet (at least on the side where I live) and its dog friendly, plus there is a park right across the street. The apartments have all been remodeled inside and feel great. When I moved in there were a few doors loose in my kitchen and maintenance came the day after I put in a request. If I have ever had a request they take care of it swiftly.Professional and courteous, I am not leaving anytime soon.
Nice to get you in, after that youre a number. On to of that, their automatic rent payment system simply doesnt work (so expect an eviction notice and a higher rent fees if you try it), seriously dont even bother trying with it. They wont email you if you get a package in the office, unless to threaten to return it. You have to pay extra now for even receiving packages, to have covered parking, the list goes on. Community seems nice to be honest, staff just forgets how they are getting paid.*Read the reviews* and dont fall for the initial wine and dine. My place wasnt ready when I moved in (has splotches of primer on the ceiling, holes in the plaster, dried paint on the marble in the kitchen). So excited to move out!
Parliament was definitely one of the best R&B Funk bands of the 70s!! Wait-a-minute... Is this not a band review message board??
I gave it two stars because it has potential. But this is my second year here and the pool and hot tub are broken more often than theyre functioning. Tonight, for the first time during my second winter here, the fire alarm (basically the loudest car horn you can imagine in your living room) has gone off again. You have to put your coat on at night and sit in the cold until the fire dept shows up. This all happened last winter too, multiple times. Stay clear of building 6!
Fantastic and responsive staff. Enjoyed experience here. Unfortunately when our lease came up, they wanted to increase our rent by more than 10%. I went in and talked with people in the office but they basically have no power as those decisions are made at the property owners corporate site. So if youβre hoping to stay there for more than one lease, expect to have a pretty outrageous increase in rent.
The building is nice but the management is horrendous. My car was towed from the underground parking simply because it had out of state plates and was severely damaged during the tow. The building didnβt make themselves responsible and simply told me to park outside. I am trying to cancel my lease now... I am out of state and trying to pay the last month of rent and it isnβt showing on the portal and no one is answering my calls. They are now threatening to have me evicted so I will have to fly out to Denver only to pay the rent. This has been a very poor experience and I highly recommend living in a different complex...
Expect to park on the main street or notably far from your building if you dont pay for reserved parking and arrive late afternoon or evening. Not a big deal for me, just an fyi.Unfortunately, pot smoking tenants is what ruined it or otherwise it would be 4 stars. Was fine up to maybe 5 or 6 months ago, then downhill from there. Im sure the pot issue is probably not as bad as lower priced apartments though, but not a fan either way, especially on what seems like a daily occurrence. Not a fan of equipment in the gym taking forever to fix either or being disposed of when broken and not replaced - seems like a low budget move. Glad they moved the gym thermostat to a secured location (pranksters would set it to the high 80s). The folks in the office as a whole are helpful and professional.
The maintenance team of this complex is amazing! I just moved in and they were able to fix up my apartment in no time after a hiccup moving in. I am happy to be living in such an accommodating and helpful apartment complex!
Donβt recommend anyone live in this establishment. The rent is overpriced. The maintenance doesnβt keep up with any tickets you put in. No parking. They will charge you for parking them issue tickets to residents. They operate in a state where marijuana is legal but itβs illegal to have in your possession on the premises. Payments have to be in money order as if we arenβt in the 21st century. The windows have no type of block against the wind. No privacy. The staff is extremely rude. I regret moving into the establishment and will pay whatever it takes to break my lease. DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!!!! I wish I hadnβt.
Worst apt experience ever. The management was incompetent and it was an overall terrible experience. To add insult to injury, before I left I verified with 3 humans to see if I owed money. Everyone told me my debt was settled. So, I left. A month later I get a bill for money owed, which, fine, I wanted to pay it when I left. So I wrote a check. However, they had already sent me to collections. Being a good person who pays my bills, I did not realize once sent to collections you need to pay them instead of Parliament. So then I called Parliament and the manager in a nutshell said Sorry, I took over when you left...so basically nothing to say except pay collections. I asked if they even received my check and she said no. It was just a huge mess and I advise anyone to seek an apartment elsewhere.
Very small apartment for an extremely high price. Denver is definitely notorious for expensive rent but this place was extremely small for the amount that we paid. It was also super hard for any delivery driver to find our apartment. Didnβt take great care of roads when it snowed. Mostly disappointed with the price compared to our extra 400 square feet more where we moved after our lease was up for only $50 more a month.
UPDATE 8/22: I found out that the AC was not fixed properly and still had been leaking water. The maintenance closet, and my bedroom carpet is soaked and has black mold as a result. Real classyUPDATE 6/15: Now they gave us a renewal offer and they are jacking the price up a whole extra 60 bucks. Such amazing loyalty this place shows their tenenats....notUPDATE 6/13: 5 stars to 1 starThis place: you get what you pay for. Underground parking is great (when people do not write nasty notes on your car), but thats all its got going for itselfLipstick on a pig is right. Have lived here since September, The pool and hot tub has been closed every day. We were told it would be opened on by spring, then memorial day, no who knows? The maintenance staff is terrible. The guy who runs it, is great, the other people have the worst attitude, and are extremely incompetent. I told them that our AC and slider door needed repairs, they only repaired the slider, meanwhile our AC is blowing hot air.For other requests, theyve written us nasty notes. Yes they were simple requests, but this is why I pay this place.
Nice apartments but the management team will screw you over; they love messing with your lease/payments. I renewed my lease (no issues in the first year, that changed quickly) but they forgot to renew it in their system. So my rent was jacked up. Went to them to fix it and I ended up owning money because even though I renewed the lease I had to remind them that the new lease was taking effect. Their online payment system doesnt match up with their leasing office which is why the resident has to tell them that the new lease is starting. No joke. Then upon moving out I had to break the lease to move out of state. All the paper clearly stated the amount due and stated must be paid prior to vacating with no other pay by date on the document. I did not consult the online payment because when you break your lease they close the online payment account for you. Doesnt make sense to me. The last month I get a late payment notice and when I showed them the document stating it had to be paid prior to vacating the property they said rent is still due on the first, they just dont state that on the bill that shows you your final move out fees. So once again more late fees.If you are good about going to the leasing office each month to be sure your rent is 100% correct then youll be fine. If your the average person you wont do this and youll be out a couple hundred dollars extra due to their incompetence.
I love living here, the management company is always very responsible and responsive to noise complaints and repairs. The residents are nice and it is very quiet and comfortable. It is the best apartment complex I have lived in the country. And the pool is open year round!
I really enjoy living at Parliament. The staff is super friendly, maintenance requests are handled quickly, and itβs a great community.
Management wouldnt even let me park a cube in their lot for 5 hours to move out. The apartments are livable, but the management policies and lack of caring about the residents in the complex win this place a whopping 1 star. Live somewhere else.
Alright well I lived there for a year no problems then we leave now there trying to charge me 4200 dollars after increasing rent. Daina is practically pointless in the office. Just save yourself time and find a better apartment i cannot say this enough never ever move here they will nickel and dime you for everything
Thin floors. I live on the 2nd floor and the noise from just simple footsteps is unacceptable. Its not just my unit. I can hear people walking above in the hallways while I wait for the elevator. I see a few reviews about their thin floors and they have a terrible reviews all across the web. I shouldve done my research or picked out a unit on the 3rd floor! I work from home and Im miserable. **The other complaint is not how many maintenance issues Im having, but rather how many times it takes for them to fix it correctly. So many issues with this place!
Thank you Britt and Nikki for your help
Dont expect to see your deposit money back. Theyll do everything they can to keep your money and not communicate to you in person that they are going to be doing so. They may in the realm of legality by doing so, due to a random ass claus within one of the many papers you are made to sign, but the fact they are too afraid to communicate these random assessments to you in person is spineless and an extremely bad business practice.
Parliament ! is probably one of the best apartments that my husband and myself I lived in. We would still be there but do to my elder sister we needed to move near her.. But, Dave & my self had the best apartment there. We lived in a one bedroom on the 3th floor it was so close to the tree top we called it our ( TREE-HOUSE ) So if you have never lived in one will this would be a great experience and you wont be disappointed. I know this apartment wont be taken soon so if you would like the experiences of living in a tree home then is apartment is for you: And, as far as the staff goes there all just ( OUTSTANDING ) We only needed one thing fixed while we live there and boy there were right on top of it and I have never seen that happen in years. I can say from both my husband and myself we will miss the staff and our once tree-house. Thank you Parliament for give us the pleasure to once reside with you.Marie:
Probably one of the worst places I saw in the Denver area so far. I had an appointment, showed up 10min early but still had 3 full visits in front of me (a good guess is I would have waited at least another hour) - very uncoordinated.
Moved into a newly renovated place a few months ago. Within the first day of moving we had a broken garbage disposal, washer/dryer did not work, bathroom sink was clogged, door was not put on properly and didnt shut all of the way. Within a few months weve had a leaking sink, lights burnt out, our balcony floods every time it rains (slanted) and our air conditioning and heat both have had to be fixed. Unfortunately, the outside finishings look nice but weve had so many issues. Great location and price but might not be worth the trade off.
Overall Im pretty satisfied with my new apartment. The people in the rental office are very friendly.I enjoy my new home thanks to Raja and Cristina and other staff for making it easy experience.
DO NOT MOVE HERE.To start, Parliament Apartments has been under sub-par during our stay here. There are definitely the positives of the complex, but I would strongly say that the negatives outway them heavily. When we first looked at the complex, we were concerned because of negative reviews. Once we arrived to see the model, we fell in love with the βupdatedβ look as well as the leasing office staff. We ended up putting in a deposit that day, and moving in June of 2018. THE DAY we moved in, our AC unit broke, and was replaced with a window fan for the rest of summer (June-August). We were assured by maintenance that they would be returning βwithin the weekβ to replace our AC to make it a completely new system, but we were not met with those expectations until the end of summer, when our AC was most needed. Also, the same day we moved in, we were unable to use any appliances that required the use of water i.e. (dishwasher, any sinks, showers, washing machine). We went a whole week without using water in our apartment, the week we moved in. It is not at all at fault of the maintenance crew, it is at fault of the people that hire them, over working them and not giving them the materials and equipment needed. As far the leasing office and the staff goes, we have been pleased with every single person we have interacted with. Especially Matthew and Christina. Each time that I have ever had a question, comment, or concern, they were there and able to help me out in every way they possibly could. These two are the definition of customer service and accommodating to their costumers in everyway they possibly can.Now finally, to the apartment unit itself. When we did our final walk through, we felt that the apartment had nice updated appliances, as well as had a sturdy build with not much to worry about. I have already mentioned what happened within the first day, but other than our AC and water, everything. breaks. Cabinets, our dishwasher, our garbage disposal, you name it, it will break. The day we did our walk through, my boyfriend who is a realtor checked the sinks and showers to check the hot water, which was not working. Our leasing agent let us know that the water heater for the unit had just been turned on before our viewing; however the whole year we have lived here it takes 1 minute+ to get hot water in any sink or shower that will last a maximum of 10 minutes. One of the things that we were most excited about moving in for was the heated pool that would be open year round, as well as the hot tub. For the past 4-5 months the swimming pool had been drained, and the hot tub has been βout of orderβ up to seven times in that period of time. This next section is to- ANIMAL OWNERSSpecifically dogs, but even though this certain complex is βAnimal Friendlyβ there is no designated place to have your dogs run around, there are areas of the complex that animals are not allowed, as well as well as people hardly ever pick up their dogs poop or put them on a leash while walking them. If you have a dog that is in anyway protective or aggressive while on a leash, THIS IS NOT THE APARTMENT FOR YOU. No one in this complex is caring or curteous of others, and are completely oblivious to the safety of their fur babies.Lastly, the only thing I want to capitalize on is the parking. PARKING SUCKS. IT IS NONEXISTENT. If you come home after 7pm any day of the week, you will walk about a half of a mile at least just to get to your apartment. We have missed out on so many fun things to do, just because we donβt want to lose our parking spot. This apartment complex may be affordable, but you will get SO much bang for your buck... literally anywhere else.
Excellent staff, response to issues right away. pleasant experience getting moved in.
I had set up a time on their online portal for a viewing of their apartments. Not only did no one show up at the set time and date, I never received a call to reschedule until days later. Very unprofessional and frustrating.
The property is so ghetto lol. Ive learned in previous experience in property management that you can always judge a property by its pool. Im assuming the pool was out of order, but it was green and disgusting. They didnt even try nor attempt to put a cover on it or move the chairs around to keep it looking presentable. The outside needs a serious update.
Avg Place, Good Price for what you get, but not the best. Hot tub never worked, staff is friendly but never remembers you, maintenance guys are also nice, didnt have any problems. Seemed like someone tried breaking into our place when on vacation, took them a few days to fix the door. Car was towed from garage because I had not received my stickers yet, but car was up to date but towed anyways. Neighbors are friendly but the guy below me played music all day long and smoked on the balcony and it would come up to my apt, so that sucked. Did ask him to turn down the music and he finally did, so that was a plus. In my honest opinion if you can afford a little more go with a different place. We went back to our old apt at the country club towers or a little more money at its worth it. Good luck.
Thin floors so you can hear every step above. Manager was no help when approached with the problem. One leasing agent tried to help but had no success there.
The management has no idea what they are doing and ever since moving in we have had water shut off multiple times, power outages ((whole complex)), and not enough parking space. The parking lot is built for tiny cars and if you like scratches, dents, dings, and even parking a whole block away then this place is the one for you! It may look very pretty at first but once moved in youll soon find out that the managers are morons. Just the application process alone took 6 hours to complete due to undertrained staff. DO NOT LIVE HERE! You can find a better place for the same price only without the headache!
DO NOT LIVE HERE. Living at this apartment complex has been the worst renting experience. First, I signed a lease for a unit a few weeks before I moved in, on move in day, the leasing office realized they leased out the wrong apartment. We had to redo the lease to correct for the mistake. OK fine. Then, a few days later, the leasing office made all kinds of mistakes on the new lease, we had to go back in MULTIPLE times to sign and correct the new paper work. After a few days, I soon realized that the apartments are garbage. Every step you take will be heard by your neighbors and you will hear every step your neighbor takes, thanks to paper thin walls. Also, maintenance is horrible, we had a leaky water faucet. Instead of repairing with new or usable parts, maintenance guy uses good old fashioned elbow grease to jimmy up some temporary fix that lasted a day or two. A selling point was the hot tub, only the hot tub has been broken the entire 10 months Ive lived here. So, Im paying for luxuries that cannot be used. Also, the gym is tiny and most the equipment is broken and or missing weights. They have two treadmills, but guess what? one is broken. Good luck trying to get in a run on a cold day. Or, that 55lbs weight you want to use, gone. Then, there is the horrible leasing office/management. If you want to be treated like a piece of meat, Parliament is the place for you. They dont care. My mail box was broken into and my student refund check was stolen and cashed (it was worth a few Gs). I went to the leasing office to explain that my refund check was stolen and if there was anything they could do to help. The manager was so rude and treated me like I was the one who stole the check. He pretty much told me to piss off. And guess what? the mail boxes were unusable for over a month and a half, there was no urgency to have them fixed. And last, I turned in the 60 day notice to vacate the parliament apts 21 days late. Im human, busy, had lots of things going on. I didnt think it would be a big deal, I was giving the apt over a month in advance notice of my leaving. I figured they would be cordial and forgiving. NOPE. I am now going to pay 21 days extra rent, about $1,000, though Im still moving out on my lease termination date.Overall, My experience was horrible and negative. Management doesnt care about the tenants. The leasing office is incompetent. Maintenance, well, what maintenance? The unit itself, garbage, paper thin walls, cheaply built. Gym, small missing weights, machines broken. Hot tub, broken. Please learn from me and DO NOT LIVE HERE
Every person in the office other than Deana is incompetent and ignorantly blissful. We were on hold for a specific apartment and were in the process of getting it when the day comes to finalize everything, some new guy apparently gave it to someone else even when Deana told her coworker that it was on hold. Oh and their carports are a joke, unless you have a smart car. Hopefully everything else after signing the lease will go better but not looking too good.
Beware! Im a current resident and I am having so many problems its really sad. Our unit has plumbing issues, sqeeky floors, and now the lights are flickering. We contacted management 4 times for one issue and they do not take accountability for their problems. *You have to sign an asbestos agreement!!! Careful familes. Please do your research. I do not recommend this place.
Great location but thats about it. The building is very old. Once or twice a month I wake up to the fire alarm in the middle of the night. They show up because the water line keeps breaking and this sets off the fire alarm. The management company will not fix it. Walls are also thin so I can hear my neighbors clearly.
I lived at parliment for nearly a year. The staff is amazing! Customer service is the culture set forth by the management. This culture is spread to all the staff, grounds keepers and maintenance men ALWAYS help in the fastest manner and quality work too! I bounce around a lot and with parliment being my 6th apartment in 5 years. They are the only one I feel deserve a review. I am picky and I was deeply impressed my entire stay. Take advantage and stay where they actually care about you as a person, not just a number or a slot to fill.
Staff is always super helpful and friendly
I come over for a night to help my girlfriend when she is sick and I get towed, no signs saying where I can and can not park. This place is a joke and does not care about its residents. If you live here, you are just an open wallet, not a person to them.
The office is not ever willing to help. They behave as though there residents are an inconvenience to there day. They only are ABLE to send you a bill everything else is out of there hands. Waste of time and money.GO SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE
Worst place Ive ever lived. The management and staff are incompetent, we have maintenance issues constantly and its takes much longer than it should to fix. The water has been shut off several times without notice. The price and location is good but absolutely not worth the severe inconvenience of the staff and poor management of the property.
DO NOT EVER MOVE HERE!!!!!! I would give this place negative stars if I could. Management is horrible and will deny anything is wrong. I called and said the garage door has been open for a long time now. The office manager said she would personally go check saying, Everytime I go I need my key to get in. Ill go look right away! A week later the door is still open. There is dog poop everywhere, sometimes in the parking garage, in the elevators and even in the hallways.Mention the bad reviews they consistently get and they make some snark comment like yeah, technology what are you going to do? Last summer a wasp nest formed on our balcony. When they finally came to clear it out over a week later, it came back again. When we told them it was back they denied it was even there. Anybody reading this do yourself a favor save your money and live somewhere else. MAXX properties should be ashamed of this place.
Terrible, we attempted to rent out an appartment from here multiple times and they screwed us over multiple times. The only reason I am giving them a 1 star rating is because I can not give them 0. My Aunt just moved to Colorado and was very excited when she found this apartment. It was beautiful and the perfect size. Before she was going to move in we checked over and over again that she would be getting the remodeled version and every time they told us yes. Then, we decided to check a final time and thank god we did because they told us that it would not be a remodeled version. Next she decided to go look at a different unit to see if she still liked it. She was extremely forgiving. She saw a different unit and still loved it. She was very happy and we were all so excited. We were getting ready to go furniture shopping and she was getting ready to move her dog to denver. They told her she could move in March 30th. She had everything set but today theycalled us and told us that the appartment was actually rented out to another person and she could no longer have it. She is been completely screwed over and the management of this establishment is in need of a major check up. We not be looking at apartments in this place any longer and we strongly recommend you do not either. Now my aunt is without a home to call her own, without her loving dog and many of our plans have been messed up. Thank you very much for this horrendous experience.
I love living here. The location is perfect. Easy access to I-25 and I-225, grocery stores, restaurants, parks etc. I love the fact that I have a washer and dryer in my unit. The complex is very safe. I feel comfortable walking around by myself at night (was one of my deciding factors of living here). Any maint. requests I have had, have been completed within 48 hours. Parking isnt an issue if you pay for the covered parking. (Best $25 I spend every month!) When it snows, the lot is cleared within a reasonable amount of time. There was a pot hole that formed last winter and was patched as soon as the weather permitted. The office staff does seem to be distracted when I first enter the office but I think with all the people that come and go, they are waiting to see if you actually need them. It doesnt take long for them to acknowledge you once it is obvious you need them. Every time I have talked to them, they have always been pleasant and helpful (especially Evelyn). I feel the fitness center is very adequate for an apartment fitness facility. It has more than what I expect. I have always found it to be clean and smell-free. The setup of the unit really makes it difficult to be creative with how you arrange your furniture but I like the layout anyway. The walls are a little thin. I live on the side of the building with the stairs and that isnt pleasant when people are going up and down (especially in heals). I recommend, if you are having a private conversation, to not continue it while going up the stairs. I can hear my neighbors TV every now and then and if my upstairs neighbor decides to play with their dog in the apartment, it can be startling at times. The Jacuzzi hasnt been working since I moved in but I did notice the pool was heated in the winter. Not sure if this is usual or just to compensate for the out of order Jacuzzi. I have lived here just over a year would recommend it to anyone.
As a full time student and first time renter, I was able to move in three years ago with out any problem thanks to Daena McKenzie. Two years after when I was trying to renew my lease I had so many issues with management just to renew my lease, I was a full time student at the time (Daena was out on vacation) and when she finally came back to work she helped me to expedite everything, thanks to her due diligence. Daena is helpful, resourceful and to my experience and knowledge the only one that goes the extra mile to get things done!Lately the apartments feel like you live in a frat/sorority house, people there are noisy, they throw parties in the pool till 1 in the morning (on Sundays) I was living in front of the pool area and it was hard to catch any sleep.
Overpriced dump. Recently renovated just means slapping cheap aesthetic upgrades onto a complete disaster of an apartment. Had maintenance in there pretty much weekly/bi-weekly as the sink, toilet, washing machine, or hallway flooded on a regular basis. Tiny apartments but they price it out like its one of the newer luxury complexes in DTC - our one bedroom apartment was almost $1,200 a month for basically no value other than location. They will nickel and dime you for anything (trying to charge us for the drip pans on the stove because they were dirty. Even though we cleaned everything thoroughly and in better condition than when we took occupancy). Pool always dirty, hot tub always broken. We lived there for 10 months and never saw the hot tub open. Also some meth heads burnt down one of the buildings last year. The actual managers are nice but seem to be disorganized and dont respect your time if you put in a maintenance request or need to schedule something. If youre trying to find a place in DTC, youre going to pay for it anyway. You can do better than Parliament Apartments and at least get something for your money.
HORRIBLE management. And the apartments have SO MUCH MOLD. I followed the smell of mold and pulled up part of the carpet and black mold covered the entire floor.
The leasing and management office is void of any and all customer service and professionalism.
Worst place ever. Unpredictable yet consistent mainance causing noise. Management is untesponsive, rude and out to squeeze every dollar they can out if you.
This place has absolutely no parking and will take forever to fix anything. They will also try to raise the rent halfway through your lease and do fire inspections all the time just so they can snoop around your apartment. The workout facility is so dirty! Pool and hot tub are always broken. Also the bedrooms are next to the stairs so you can hear your neighbor go up and down the stairs in the middle of the morning or night. Save yourself the time and find a better place. PS. The only good review on here is from Jamie who is one of the Leasing agents that works there.
This place is a joke! There is no parking ever! It is over priced for how small these little appartments are. We have had hot water issues for more then a month. So today when there is more then a few inches of snow on the ground we have ZERO HOT WATER. they have on replaced the hot water heater twice now in the last two days with the same effect. Havent been able to shower in two days and it still isnt fixed. Maybe they should hire some maintenance people who actually know what there doing.
Take forever to fix ANYTHING, and by fix I mean have their maintenance guys figure out some half ass way to do things. I live on the bottom floor with a bricked patio outside my door, it rained for 2 days and the tiny drain they had for both mine and my neighbors patio combined was completely filled with mud. Needless to say it flooded, and started leaking through the walls and into the living room. It was like there was a water hose running in my house for hours. After a day and a half they came and ripped up the carpet, left a 50$ power dryer in there for 2 days, and came and put the carpet back like nothing happened! Now the bottoms of the walls are destroyed, and its smells horrible! One day we came home to our kitchen and bathroom flooded because the water heater broke, and people we just in our appt without giving us any notice. On top of that being you cant complain about anything without calling the cops. And in order to do that you have to file a police report and who has time for that. Way too small for the price even for DTC. glad that my lease is up soon.
Terrible place to live. The hot tub is filthy and we just found black mold in our apartment! This place is absolutely horrible. The maintenance staff always has an attitude and the management office is useless. They never take responsibility! I cant wait to leave this awful place.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year without any issues. In August we received a notice saying we needed to let them know if we wanted to renew our lease for another year or if we planned on moving out. We went in to the office a few days later and told them we wanted to renew for another year. The lady at the office told us they needed to write up the new lease and they would call us when it was ready. After not hearing from them for weeks I called and left them a message (they are open the exact hours I work so its virtually impossible for me to reach them during business hours). They have never once returned any of the messages I have left them. We then received a notice saying we owed them $ for rent even though we have never made a late payment. My boyfriend went in on one of his very few days off because he works two jobs and they told him the charges were month to month fees because we hadnt signed our new lease. He then explained to them that we had been trying to contact them for weeks and once they looked into they realized that our lease wasnt even ready for us to sign. They promised him they would waive the month to month fees and that our lease would be ready to sign on Sunday (9/22). We went in on Sunday to sign the lease and they said it STILL wasnt ready for us to sign! Upon coming home from work today I found another notice on our door that explained that this was our 2nd notice about the charges we needed to pay. Needless to say I called the office as soon as I read the notice but of course the office was closed so I had to leave yet another message for them regarding the situation but considering that they have NEVER returned any of my calls Im not expecting a call back. Save yourself the frustration and hassle and go somewhere else!!!!
If u could give this place 0 stars I would!! It has been the WORSE apartment I have EVER rented from!!First of all, we have a spider and insect problem.. we call and they could care less they think its normal because we are on the 1st floor and it is not!! Its nasty! They wont even come fix the problem, there too cheap to exterminate they just buy the spray from Walmart and spray that doesnt work!! FYI all the apartments that Ive rented from have been on the 1st floor and I never seen buys until now!!Second of all, this place is a FIRE HAZZARD. There was a hash oil explosion right across from our apartment. Not just that, the fire alarm went off at 2am one time!third of all, one of there employees came into our apartment while we werent there!!Fourth of all, we smelt gas in our apartment and we worried a little.. so we left for a little bit and when I came back home the carbon monoxide alarm was going off and th fire dept came and there were high levals of carbon monoxide in our apartment. This has NEVER happened to me!Oh yeah, and this apartment is super old!! They dont even have the apartment sealed correctly! This place is A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND IS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE IN MY LIFE I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYBODY! SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING BETTER AND WORTH IT!!!
It is so sad that I am putting a single star. When we first came to the property we were so excited and loved it. Although, two days later when we wanted to take another look and talk about pricing and move in things went downhill. On Tuesday 9/6/2016 I spoke with an associate and was asking question that she needed her manager Christina or Christine need to answer, she did not speak to me but spoke about me in third person as if I was not even there. I let it go and ignored it but when we returned to see the property once more around 5:15pm we were told no unites were able to be viewed and it was about closing time. So we left and the next morning signed a lease with another property.I hate that I am having to write this but when you feel as if you are not welcomed for whatever reason you just have to say something!
I just moved out of this place after 11 months, my apartment flooded CONSTANTLY this summer, and they did not fix it-- the maintenance staff actually told me there was nothing they could do. The hot tub has been broken for at least a year, and has been in a state of itll be fixed soon per the leasing office staff. The staff is horrendous-- the manager is NEVER there, no one ever answers the phone. There is no one who does their job correctly at this place, as I was given permission to break the lease due to the flooding, and yet it was NEVER inputted into their system, half the staff thought I hadnt turned my keys in-- even though they were turned in FOUR days prior-- they wanted to charge me for the extra days because of their ineptitude.Stay away!!
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! I currently live here. This place is the worst.!!Lipstick on a pig!!Today 06/09/2016 it will be over 90 degrees and the swimming pool does not have water in it.They have been promising for 6 weeks to have it filled and working.I dont have time for their excuses. They dont want to spend money to fix it or anything around here. They only collect money here.Which means they want to do it the absolute least expensive way possible.Unacceptable.They told me they need 5 days without rain.I DONT CARE! Thats their excuse.Ive been paying for the pool and 8 person Jacuzzi that doesnt work either all winter and spring.Note Theres 410- apartments for a 8 person spa and a pool that should be in the backyard of a 3-4 bedroom house. So about 600 people for a 8 person spa..And 1 BBQ grill on the new deck..Dont spoil a fella...Paper thin walls...Outdateds windows, that lose all of your energy.Electric bills are literally through the roof..My 1st month turning lights off behind, keeping the heater low.DEC 2015 $180- Excel Energy bill. The next mo,i didnt use the heater once.I bought 2-$20 portable heaters.JAN/FEB/MARCH 2016 $150- mo Excel Energy bill..The apartment I came from,i was paying a max of $40- to Excel .Same habits, new apt.I could go on and on.And I will,on this site and everyother apartment review site.Because Im sick and tired of these thieves! I pay top doallar for rent here $1275-..$50 trash,sewer,water..$150- Electric..$40-WiFi.=.$1515- for a dump!I almost forgot..Whatever your rent is,they add $6- monthly just to send you a paper bill. You cant go green, and ever cancel this fee..And theyre nice enough to charge you $10- the 1st mo to set it up.I never would of signed a lease here in DEC 2015 if I knew the pool wouldnt be open for summer.Ive never even asked what the problem is..I DONT CARE! It looks like ot has something to do with plaster, and the plaster then drying..Get a industrial tent/tarp..I DONT CARE.Im a sales trainer/motivator.Thos are their excuses.Save them.Send me a rent credit!! Oh yeah,i told them I want a rent credit. To the mgr and the mgmt. company. They of course ignored me.They just want to collect money, not spend money and not give any customer service.Saying Im sorry, isnt close to the answer..They have 410 apartments and they are collecting over $500,000- a month. They dont dont want to spend any of it!And ive been on Yelp for years. This mgmt. and mgmt. co.are lazy so they probably wont respond to this.I will address before hand if so.DEAR PARLIAMENT and MAXX:I gave you weeks to respond to me through my personal cell and email. So do not put a pretend I care message at the bottom of this,Action speak louder than words. And you have proven to be unprofessional, lazy cheap, liars! A home is where you shoul be able to de-stress.Not add stress! You all should be ashamed of yourself representing this property, and company.Taking top dollar from hard working families, and not providing a top dollar environment. This place was $6-700 4-5 years ago.$1,515-for this dump now!And I know rent went up $100-since I moved in,so itd be $1615 with bills..I have the 2008 updated unit. When I moved in they offered me the updated 2015 unit for $230 more...$1745- with bills 12/7/15..$1865 now!?????? You have got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No pool though....Any updates to this place is like putting lipstick on a pig.Unless they spend approxiametly 1 months rental income to fix this property. And Im 99,99% convinced they wont. This place needs 100% new windows.(1640windows and 410 Sliding Glass Doors)..All apts need to blown with insulation..The heater is on 240 amp..Delete that..New high efficient furnaces and water heaters..Maybe even gad ovens instead of electric..Until all of this is done, and more! Do not even visit this place.Because if they dont do all of this, its just : LIPSTICK ON A PIG..
Worst apartment building and management ever. New management keeps taking over and the newest one only 2 months ago. Worse than that is the new office lady. Iβm pretty sure these vacancies are because of her. Unprofessional and rude, never seen a worse leasing agent. Me and my girlfriend are visiting over winter break and never had anybody asked to sign a lease!!! I donβt understand why we should sign any kind of lease when we are visiting our parents over break. Ridiculous. Constantly harassing us and threatening to evict us if we do not sign a lease? I mean how ridiculous can this situation get? Do not even think about having your friends or family visit you! They will try to make them sign a lease and have you pay more!!!! Worst apartment building ever. Not even allowed to visit our family these days. Ugh
This place was horrible! Management was terrible! Glad I got out when I did! On top of keeping my security deposit, they tried charging me extra for made-up damages.
These are the absolute worst apartments i have EVER lived in!!!! The management is terrible, they are the worst excuse for people. DONT EVER LIVE HERE!!!! Go homeless before you decide to move to these apartments!
If you want to live in a place with bearded women in the leasing office and walls the width of a tent, then this circus is for you!
Almost July, 90*temps and still no pool. Really guys come on.
Worst place Ive ever rented. Shady management. Glad to be out of there.
Significant decline across the board.
Predators.
She so Princessa !!!
