I’ve been going to the salon for a while and I usually love it. But I guess recently they raised their prices… Their menus do not reflect the price change and I was not made aware of the price change until I went to check out and my ticket was $20 more than I normally spend.When I mentioned it to the receptionist she said, “oh yeah, sorry about that” and basically dismissed me.The last time I was there I got my eyebrows waxed and that lady ended up dropping wax into my hair and then asked me not to tell anyone. I am fairly certain they don’t change out the sticks that they dip into the wax in between applications to the face… Which is incredibly unsanitary. The wax was also lukewarm so she basically pulled my skin when she tried to apply the wax.There is pretty much always an absurd wait time and they don’t take appointments after a certain time. They do a decent job but so do a lot of other nail salons. So I probably won’t end up going back. It’s not worth the long wait to pay a lot of money for something I can get done elsewhere for a better price.

Updated review: I have been going to this salon for years now and for the most part I’ve had nothing but good experiences and is why I still recommend with 3 stars. My most recent experience was horrible unfortunately, I checked in at 2pm and the receptionist advised there would be a 30 minute wait. No problem, I left for 25 min and came back but once I came back I waited an additional 45 min before someone took me and wasn’t seen till 3:15. The tech that was removing my nails was Thanh, she kept hurting me during the nail removal process (which took about 20-25 min because I had dip powder) and there after she cut my nails, filed them and pushed back my cuticles. By that time it was 4 PM and she wasn’t doing a good job so I told her I would skip the rest and just leave with them plain. Come check out time, they tried charging me for a full nail removal (which is expected) in addition though for a FULL manicure. I tried explaining to the receptionist that I did not receive a full manicure. No polish and she didn’t do a good job with the nail removal (still old acrylic on my nails, cuticles not fully pushed back and cut, etc.) and the receptionist just kept arguing with me. I’m a very irrespective person and truly look at the situation for what it is and this was handled absolutely poorly. Taking a small amount off and not charging for a full service in which I did not receive I would have happily paid and just called it a day. Instead another customer overheard and offered to pay the amount. In return just made me look like a jerk. Trying to charge a customer almost $40 for a nail removal and full manicure when it’s far from what I received nor good service during the removal is just wrong. Hoping this review will touch the owner so they can take in account and correct Thanh’s service and help guide the receptionist team to better handle customers and not argue with them. Pics are attached of my “full” manicure showing left over acrylic and bad cuticles. Sad to say after this, I won’t be returning.

So incredibly disappointed with this place. It came highly recommended from plenty of people. So I thought I would give them a try. Unfortunately my pedicure was the worst one I’ve had by far. It wasn’t even worth the $60 I spent on it. The staff was rude, and I am just overly disappointed with my visit. I won’t return. Over priced, and not worth it for the quality you get.

First time to visit Golden. Tee took really good  care of me. I will definitely go back. Clean and spacious,pricing is affordable. I love their set up. Staff were friendly except for the 2 receptionist who were busy chatting with each other and browsing through their phones.

I have been going to this locations for years now. Currently, I exclusively let Michelle do my nails and wax my eyebrows. Shes the best! Im never disappointed, but honestly everyone there is super professional and friendly.

Tina does it all!! She did my nails exactly how I asked and was very helpful with picking colors! She gives an amazing pedicure and does eyebrows perfectly. Definitely ask for her when you go, you won’t be disappointed! She’s friendly and takes great care!

Over priced! Worst Experience! Poor quality of work and horrible professionalism.The owner was pleasant but literately did my dip powder without doing a manicure meaning a dip powder is done with a mani you cut cuticles first then manicure ( shape nails) and then you do the dip powder. That is the proper thing to do.The pedicure tech literately was doing the Least amount of work possible and could care less about her job.Will never return and if you want to get taken advantage and pay almost $100 for mediocre work come here!

Pretty upset that every-time I’ve tried to make an appointment, they call and tell me they can’t take it, I then ask to be put on waitlist, and they say I have to be there in person, so I come in, ask to be put on the wait, and they tell me one hour. Ten minutes go by, and they tell me they can’t take me at all. At 3:00 in the afternoon. What point is their appointment website when their availability is not correct, you can’t ask to be put on the wait unless you are there, and “can’t make appointments for Saturdays.” I’ve waited two hours to get my nails done because their wait times are also off. Pedicures and services are usually great, but zero customer service from the desk girls.

Wonderful experience at Golden Nails. The meticulous work when doing the pedicure made my tired old feet look fabulous. The quality of the polish they use lasts longer than other nail salons that I have been at. Worth the price for the whole service.

Staff is always friendly and does a great job. If i have ever had an issue with a nail they are always happy to fix it with no argument. I usually go to XuXu, jack or ashley for my SNS nails. The pedicures are very relaxing I tend to splurge and get the golden delux package.

Cutest long nails Ive gotten anywhere, they were so nice and have a big staff so there is barely a wait when youre a walk in.

I have had some good manicures here but I have also had a few horrible SNS manicures. I spoke with the owner and she sees nothing wrong with the poor quality. So I will take my business somewhere else. Ive spend over $100 on poor quality and that is my limit. If you get one of the really sweet manicurist that does a phenomenal job get their name and only go to them. And dont ever expect a refund it will never happen.

First time coming to this nail salon and very unprofessional. I was sitting for 20 minutes with my feet in the water for 20 minutes as the water was getting cold and no one assisted me. When I told the front lady that I said I was leaving she made an excuse. I have never been to a nail salon and had my feet in water unless someone was about to start my pedicure. Dont come to this place to busy and you will not be treated with good customer service. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!

I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and was extremely disappointed in the service.I had an appointment 2 days before my wedding with Michelle. I was getting french tip acrylics and I noticed that all my nails were see through. I asked her if she could fix them and she said thats how theyre supposed to look.I ended up leaving but the more I looked at my nails, the more I hated them. My mother in law called to see if they can fix them before the wedding. The manager said he would personally fix them so I went back the next day. The manager sent me back to Michelle to fix my nails and she gave me attitude the ENTIRE time. I was being very nice and patient about the situation considering this was for my wedding.After an hour, Michelle tried to hand me off to someone else so she can get to another appointment. I requested the manager since he said he would be the one to fix my nails. He had to start over because Michelle did such a poor job. The situation was very awkward and I would never go back.

This is what my deluxe manicure + shellac chrome nails look like on day 5. The nail tips started to peel after day 1. Day 2 and 3 they really started to peel and I have been so careful with them these past two days so that they dont completely peel back and expose the orange/red color underneath.I was referred here by a coworker who said this was the absolute best place to go and recommended three techs: Xu, Xu Xu, and Ashleigh. I was booked with one of them but then told on the day of that I couldnt be with the tech I requested. I was put with someone else who did what I thought was a good job.My review is for the chrome nails only; I would give his pedicure 3 or4 stars because it was pretty good and I do like the way it came out.Deluxe Pedicure + Gel Nails and Deluxe Manicure + Shellac Chrome Nails set me back $95 and I gave a good tip so you can imagine. Very disappointed.

Very good nails, had a little bit of extra acrylic under my nail after but once I cut it off my nails were perfect. my nail tech did an awesome job, except for nicking my skin once, however he immediately disinfected it and made sure I was ok. Iwanted my nails to be primaries and match my makeup and he picked out perfect colors for it. the price is very reasonable for the quality.

I am not a person who write reviews until they are too bad. I had a bad experience with Golden Nails. I got my pedicure and manicure done couple of days back. The top polish is not done properly and my nail polish started coming off from sides. I feel really bad that I paid so much and ended up with a service like this. Be careful if you are going here!

The staff are friendly and good at what they do. The salon is clean with lots of chairs for pedicures or getting your fingers done. Ive been going since November and enjoy my experience every time.

I’ve gone to this nail salon for over two years now and they have gone through a full remodel of the building so the interior is very new and clean. I’ve referred multiple people to this salon and won’t go anywhere else. They are easy to schedule appointments with and are on time if you do schedule which is huge. I highly recommend!

This is my go-to nail salon. It’s well kept and they are definitely up on the latest nail trends. I visit regularly for my SNS nail treatment. Some technicians are better than others, but overall I am consistently happy with the service. They do get quite busy to plan accordingly.

Excellent service! Salon was very clean and inviting (with good music!). I was helped immediately even though I could see on the sign in sheet that several people had just walked in before me. Nice but over priced. Got a fill in with solar powder ended up paying $50 not even sure how that happened. Did not provide a break down. Friendly staff. Owner was nice. Had a cup on wine. That helped me cope with the$50 bill. Mission accomplished I guess lol.

I have been going to Golden Nails since the first day that Ashley and Andrew took over management. The decor is warm and soothing, the staff/management are friendly and talented, the prices are awesome, as is the quality of work they do. A wonderful way to spend time relaxing and having your hands/feet pampered. The spa pedicure is the best I have ever had. I refer my friends, family, neighbors, and even my patients to Golden Nails. It is truly a South Austin treasure.

Great technicians, friendly staff, great massage chairs, lots of colors to choose from. I only put 4 out of 5 stars because there have been a couple times where I left with broken skin around my nails which was painful for a few days. But it is my go-to salon and I go back every time. They redid their building recently and it looks beautiful.

My favorite nail salon for years. Clean, quick, friendly and they do a great job. They get you in fast, even without an appointment. I am a nurse that is constantly washing my hands and using alcohol hand sanitizer and their gel manicure still lasts two weeks. Highly recommend.

Amazing work! I had been going to Diamond Nails and never felt comfortable in there. In Golden Nails I felt so welcomed and there was such great service. You can tel that these workers enjoyed what they do even though it was the end of the day. Definitely coming back, keep rocking it!

Im conflicted writing this because Cindy did a really great job, and was very helpful. However, I started out with someone else who has an appointment booked in about 30/45 min after I arrived. I had SNS that had to be removed, then tips applied for acrylics. She asked me if I wanted my own natural nails cut, I said no. She later said she would leave them because my own nails were short/thin (cant remember which she said) so she wanted to leave them how they are so the nail tips will adhere. She then went off to her appointment, and Cindy took over. She then realized my natural nails werent filed, and told me that if the nails werent adhered properly, the length can cause bacteria to slip between the nails and acrylics. She seemed annoyed. I was frustrated after she told me that because the original lady really just didnt want to do a good job because she had another client waiting. I would still go here because they seem nice and well, the honor appointments, but Ill call ahead to book an appointment so that doesnt happen again.

Very professonal and welcoming staff. They are well staffed so waiting isnt usually an issue. The salon is clean and their work lasts. Highest value nail salon I found in south Austin.

I gotta say just sitting there while my wife gets her usuals done here. Ive listen to the ladys here not only talk about customers to other customers but they also make remarks about the gay men who come in. Its really ridiculous actually. Its almost borderline disgusting how they talk about customers the second they leave. It wouldnt be such a huge deal considering they do that all day in their own language however they go as far as to talk about these customers in ENGLISH to other customers. That is extremely rude and unprofessional. In the end they do an EXCELLENT job as far as nails go. But dont ask for to much and dont complain or they will talk about to EVERYONE the second you leave. The owner lady is the worst at this.

I love this place! Nathan is the best at pedicures. They are all great but I always ask for Nathan. He listens to exactly what you want. I’ve always had problems with ingrown nails but since I’ve been coming here, my toes haven’t hurt at all!! Thank you Nathan!

I have mixed feelings about this place, the work dine on my nails was okay, not great, but worth the price, when going in a month later they apparently had a huge party of clients schedule at the same time for services, but in my opinion if you are going to have over 10 girls getting nail services it should be a private party and maybe should be done either before or after salon hours it was very off-putting to me to walk in and the lady tells me that they have like 15 girls getting their nails done for a party and theyre not going to have anybody available for a while you know its very unprofessional to have to turn away clients because you decide to book a big party during a busy day on a Saturday at that! when you know that majority of clients would be off and they would want to come in and get services and yet you took it upon yourself to think it was okay to schedule 15 + girls to come in and get their nails done all at the same time without letting any clients know ahead of time like Hey were not going to be able to do services on anybody until 2 oclock or whatever the case maybe instead you had not only myself but there were four other ladies who walked up behind me and realize that they couldnt get their nails done we all looked at one another like is this real? Im all for booking big parties, but if its more than a handful in the many years I have worked in the beauty industry you book a before or after hours party that way clients who come in during normal business hours can still get seen.

I have been going here for years and they are great - Mina, Jack, and Hector are really great, especially with SNS. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is due to the girls who run the appointments now. They use to have one girl who was always helpful and really great to customers but now there are two girls who continuously give the wrong information out to customers, do not book the appointments correctly (enter incorrect information, say that someone is off on the day requested when theyre not, etc.), and are not very helpful at all. When they do explain things, they also come off condescending and like they are put out by any questions. I have directed numerous friends and family to try this place and I have gotten the same feedback from everyone, the nails are done great but the customer service from the girls up front is terrible. Ive always loved coming here, but the girls up front could really use some direction and training.

I went to Golden Nails for the first time this afternoon. They got me in on my lunch hour. It was a Tuesday and there was no wait. Katie did my nails and did a wonderful job. Everyone was nice and the salon was nice and clean. Price was average for a shellac mani - $30. Ill definitely be going back.

Had my sister and best friends in town after recently moving and was looking for a new nail place. We found Golden Nails tucked away in a plaza a few miles from my house and I have not been disappointed in the slightest.I used to go to Diamond Nails however found them slightly overpriced and felt like the staff was at times rude and rushed. However, at Golden Nails we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and despite construction they were efficient and did a great job.SNS dip with acrylic tips turned out gorgeous and stayed on for weeks until removed. Pedicure was wonderful and inexpensive. Have recommended to multiple people at work and will no longer go anywhere else for my nail services.

My new nail spot! This place is super clean, calm, well decorated, very well staffed and fairly priced. They were prepared for the weekend crowd and I counted 9 techs working while I was there. Including the awesome owners. That is the most staff at one time I have ever experienced at any nail salon. Not to mention the fab & quick job they did on my hands, toes & eyebrows. Thank you for the awesome experience. ALSO, they have FREE WIFI. I will most definitely be returning!!!

I have been to this location before and I enjoy it. However today really upset me. I came in for service. They appeared to be busy. That was fine with me I can be patience for their services. I was there for about 30 to 45 mins. They did sit me to soak my feet. A women who came in minutes after me, started getting services before me. So that was the point where I had to leave. I am not 100% sure if she had an appointment or not. When I went to speak to the lady at the front I just explained that the women that came in after me was already getting services. She explained that one of the workers were almost done if I could just keep waiting. I understand that they are busy. But I came in for services and I really did not like that they forgot about me. It just upset me because I enjoy going here.

I’m very disappointed in their service. Never have I ever dealt with customer service like this as well as quality. Took my younger sister to get her nails done, before she left town. Originally it was going to take her to her normal nail place. Unfortunately her nail lady was sick. We saw a few good reviews on here for golden nails. We decided to give this place a try. I had left to step away to get a cup of coffee. While I was gone the nail lady had told my younger sister that she could not get her nails done with SNS. My younger sister has been getting her nails done with SNS for over two years now, and so have I. They had forced my younger sister to get it done with solar. I was upset with that 1st of all. Then after she was done, they where NOT even that well done. TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO COME HERE. HOW DARE GOLDEN NAILS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A 15 YEAR OLD.

I was in here and served alcohol then the staff said I was too drunk and made a big scene causing my 12 year old niece to cry. The truth, I had been up all night because I am selling my home so I was just delirious and tired. I called my sister to pick up my niece because the nail people wouldnt leave her alone and she was getting more and more upset. They didnt even do her nails right. The front desk lady(some 17 year old)offered to give my niece a ride home because I was soooooo drunk. Very Unprofessional and embarrassing experience. To make matters worse, they let me just hop in my car and drive home. If they were so concerned, why serve me alcohol and why let me drive home. I used to love this place but I think they are getting a bit ahead of themselves and now theyve lost my business and I will be reporting them.To add to this horrible experience, the owner just called my PERSONAL cell phone and threatened me. She said shes getting a lawyer because of my review. Wow! Just wow! She went on to INSULT me and say that Im always drunk when I come in the salon which is a total lie because I usually come in after the gym. They advertise free drinks with your nails and I have a glass or two of wine sometimes over several hours. Ive seen people bring in bottles of wine which I most certainly have never done. Ive seen the staff drink while they are closing down so for her to have the audacity to call me and threaten me is Madness and just further proves how unprofessional my experience was.

Golden Nails is the best balance of atmosphere, service and price Ive ever found in a nail salon.I decided to try the salon based on numerous favorable online reviews and was pleased to find that they werent exaggerating. The facility has everything you want to see in a nail salon--clean, well-kept equipment, friendly staff, and people in seats. As an added bonus, the prices are very reasonable and they seem to run regular specials.Golden Nails feels luxurious enough to be a treat and is moderately priced enough to be a regular occurrence. My happy toes and I will definitely be returning!

Love this place! I just moved to Blanco which is an hour away from Golden Nails but I happen to be in Austin for the day and gave them a try. The shellac manicure lasted a little over 3 weeks and the pedicure shellac seemed to last forever. They have set the bar pretty high and I cannot seem to find a place comparable close to me so I may have to make this a monthly trip.

Lets start with the fact that I loved this place, which makes today even more disappointing alltogether!!4 months ago I convinced my friend, who never went to a nail salon ( and never trusted one, for that matters), to go with me and have a pedi at this salon. I told her about the good reviews I read and asked her to trust me.. and it was a huge success. we started making it an every 3 weeks thing to spend some time relaxing. And I have had great time.Today, though, we go there and we are assigned our chairs and our ladies. My lady sits down in front of me and proceeds to be on her phone texting for about 3 minutes. then gets up to get the nail polish I choose, and spends another couple of minutes showing text messages to another person (whom I believe is the owner of the business... always nice and graceful).When my lady comes back, she starts taking nail polish off my toes, she clears the right foot, and leaves 3 toes from the left foot half cleared. Then she gets up and spends another 3/4 minutes texting and showing her texts to the owner.At that point I asked the girl at the reception, whom I absolutely like, if I could have someone else who could spare her time to take care of me. She goes and talk to the owner and the lady, they both come back to me, the owner explains to me she is helping the lady with some sort of payment emergency (I have no idea).The lady, without even clearing the rest of the toes of my left foot, from polish, start cutting the toe nails on the right, gets up, says something I didnt understand in the general direction of the owner, tells me someone else is going to take care of me.. and leaves!!! Yup.. she just leaves!!! The receptionist, again super nice and sweet, tell me someone else will be with me in a few minutes... and I am ok with that.. 10 minutes later I am still there waiting for someone to come see me.. not anybodys fault.. they are all busy with their clients (someone arrived after me, but since I was assigned someone already..). I asked the lady doing my friends pedi if I could get some nail polish remover to clean the left over polish from my own toes: yes I did it by myself.At that point I decided to put my socks and shoes back on and told the receptionist that, at this point, I didnt want a pedi anymore. So I stayed with my friend until she was done.The lady who took care of my friend, and the receptionist, told me several times, they were sorry, and I thanked them and let them know I knew it wasnt their fault.What I am mostly disappointed by is the fact the owner, who was right there in front of me the whole time, doing a manicure, but keeping an eye on the situation, never came and say anything to me.I understand they have plenty of customers and dont need my business, but that is not a nice way to treat customers, if you are in the wellness business.I look forward to the 3 weeks pedi with my friend, as a way to relax and relieve stress, and today left me somewhat sad.

A continuation of this place not holding up to its reputation. Ive been coming here for years, the last 3 times the service has not been what it used to be. When one makes an appointment, you expect to have service around that time. Its been, the last 3 times, more than 20+ minutes late.Today, they were late with my appointment by 23 minutes and after 32 minutes, they came over and told the other person in my group, they were not going to get to her today.The service has continued to get worse. I figured to keep trying, but 3 strikes. Its time to move on, find a new place.Thanks for the years of service.When your manicure appointment is more late than your Drs visit, there is a problem.

Good at doing the nails but horrible at explaining or showing you what nail colors and services actually cost. The lady at the front told me to choose my color but did not explain what costs more than others, really confusing process. She explained that they keep getting mixed up yet she is sitting there facing them, with lots of free time, and does not reorganize them when ahe knows thwy are mixed up. That is just plain laziness. Other than that the technicians are great at the service.

Nice place, clean, and they offer complimentary beverages. The staff is polite and the prices are decent.

I stopped comming here and I decided to give it an other try. I brought my lil cousin and her friend. They straight up ignored what she wanted done and my person cut me on three fingers and he was falling asleep the whole time. Blue canvas nail bar is the place to go!

I was a first time customer as a walk in with 1 customer ahead of me waiting on a computerized sign in. No appointments were logged ahead of me. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Dont waste your time going here. When I checked in I was given a wait time of 20 to 25 minutes. No problem, thats do-able right? 30ish minutes later and skipped 3 customers ahead of me I asked how much longer and was advised 10 more minutes. I said no thanks and left. This was irritating and plain ol bad business. Id asked for a manicure and have no doubt was skipped to get in the more expensive services even though they arrived and signed in after me. Bad move Golden nails, really bad move. I am new to town and searching for a new mani pedi salon where I would regularly be a customer.

It took me 5 different spots before a friend took me here and I couldnt go anywhere else. Always a pleasant experience.

The lady who did my mani and pedi was rough (as in she was jerking my limbs around) and had major attitude. The water was barely lukewarm. The lady who did the designs was very nice. I was pretty bummed with my experience after hearing great things.

Worst mani and pedi ever. Technician had to dilute nail polish with paint thinner among other things, minimal to no exfoliation of my feet. I could have paid my little neighbor friend 5$ to do their job.
