I’ve requested maintenance multiple days for my ac not working! The guy told me today “my lead tech will be there in 15 min”. Never showed up. Advertising these with fireplaces but there not even up to code and are covering them up after you move in! Trash is constantly everywhere! Painters got paint on both my cars management did nothing. They don’t get permits for the sketchy work they get done here either!Edit: Hey Hendrix I cant get ahold of you any other way and you office is quarantined. The water is still leaking from my ceiling. For 2 weeks now. I’m going out of town for a week and am unable to keep dumping the pail of water that fills every hour! I’ve moved all of my belongings so they won’t get saturated after the overfill but I’m sure after a week maybe you can open the apartment below me the new operating pool.

Though 2.1 stars isnt surprising, it is about 1.6 stars too many if Im being frank. This is unequivocally the worst place Ive ever lived in my entire life.Drawn in by the amenities? None of them (gym, pool, laundry room, outdoor grills etc..) work or are operational. Love the idea of a friendly competent staff? Neither of those things are true, though you might not ever find out because reaching them is impossible. Enticed by a dog friendly environment? What that really means is 24/7 feces on every grass surface possible because there isnt a cleaning service, your neighbor are disgusting, or both. Want to finally break your lease early and move on to somewhere better and brighter? Itll cost you 60 days (including rent for that time period) and an additional $1750.*Buyer beware. Youve been warned. Havent been in the Austin area long, but Id bet the farm on this being the worst place you could possibly move.

Tried to move in here, was told the apartment I would be moving into would be ready by September 21st. I am in a bit of a time crunch as my lease ends the 25th, so I was extremely disappointed when I was told all of a sudden (after I had already completed the application and submitted my deposits and fees) that it would not be ready until the 20th of OCTOBER. I still have not received my deposit back and it has been over a week. I need it to be able to move in elsewhere. Im literally about to be homeless because this place is sloppy with their communication and lack of professionalism.

Honestly there were so many issues its hard to keep track. The apartment wasnt ready on our move in date and they needed an additional week. None of our appliances were installed when we did move in and there were paint swatches all over the walls. We requested parking spots when we signed the lease and it took them 11 months to even begin working on them. Water was shut off at least 2 times a month, and our kitchen sink broke a total of 10 times.

Please do not move in here. The people working in the front are really friendly but that only goes so far. The maintenance here does not exist when they do come they only put bandaids on and say it’s fixed that is when they come out a month later. I have had no ac in my apartment for 5 days and the management team is not helping to get it fixed and will not accommodate in any way. My kitchen was leaking for over a year with multiple maintenance requests. The property is is extremely trashy with construction dumpsters over flowing and furniture piled up around them for weeks ( if you need a couch, table, stove or maybe an old entertainment center just check the big pile next to my apartment. I can’t invite people over as I am embarrassed of the site they would drive through. I hate to give bad reviews but I have tried to deal with many problems here (good luck talking to the staff they don’t respond) and nothing has been solved. At this point I am going to pay the early lease termination fee and move on. Sorry to anyone that has to stay here

I love living here! Chantelle is my favorite staff person; she’s always on top of things and really cares about all of the tenants. Maintenance is reliable and fast. Also they are fixing up some issues that I’m exist around the community such as filling pot holes, building ramps, and refurbishing the leasing office and mail center. They offer valet trash and parcel pending which is a secure way to receive packages! My neighbors are all so lovely and wonderful, we are really a community and all talk and help each other when needed. And on top of everything you get a great price for the space you get. I have a very large 1 bedroom (it’s just me and my dog) and it’s less than a studio I had closer to central Austin. If you’re looking for a place to actually live look no further

How am I charged 3 different fees for 3 different months for a statement fee and water fees? Over charged for rent, pest control and valet by 2 days… charged me for rents insurance when I as well as my company I had sent emails showing I had insurance. They owe me $234.36 but saying I owe them $116! RUN! This is not a good place to live if they will be fraudulent and change dates, that literally changes all the fees! No power for 6 whole days, and when the power came back on finally, our water went out and is still out 6 days later. I work as a plumber and a home without water is considered unlivable by modern standards. We had an unlivable home for almost 2 weeks, had to rent a hotel and gather water from shelters. The Hendrix still expects rent in full and won’t return my calls. I understand we had a historic storm, but maybe they can stop sending me emails about “community “ and “coming together” and ACTUALLY HELP THEIR TENANTS. I’m down days of work pay, a hotel, and all the food I had to replace. There’s nothing community about this place, you’re a check to them, a smile through the door and a kick on the other side.Update 3/10Paid rent in full for half a month of livable home, and while other complexes are reimbursing hotels or giving discounts, we get tamales!!! WOW! The washing machines have been down since the storm, after calling the office multiple times over 2 weeks about the issue, I finally went over to the machines and flipped the breaker and fixed 2 of them. Nothing gets done around here if you don’t do it yourself. I had to re-insulate my apartment doors/windows because the maintenance guys determined it wasn’t a problem, well it sure as hell is when the power goes out for a week and the high is 15 degrees. The office staff are quite nice, but their job is to get you on a lease.I don’t expect free stuff, but the way The Hendrix has handled the freeze and basic maintenance is pisspoor to say the least. They are clearly focused on renovating for new tenants, not helping the current ones.

We been living only for three months. You cant get a hold of the office half the time and there maintenance department dont come and fix stuff when you put a work order in. On February 11th we had a ice storm which froze everything including our steps which not one maintenance guy ever cam to put salt down and also our electric went out due to a down tree. It was off for 4 days and either the office or Maintenance were not available. So Saturday 1 am I was laying in bed and all of a sudden there were gun shots outside my window very scarey. Went to search on Google and see if the caught the two people. I found out this wasnt the first time this happened. So on February 14th it snowed and on Monday our electric went out again and again maintenance or the office were no where to be found. They still never put salt on our steps or cleared the sidewalks. I actuality got out and went to home depot for a shovel and my son cleared our steps and others borrowed our shovel to do the same. We are definitely going to break our lease. Please dont let you or your family move here. Its unsafe and nothing gets done by maintenance.

I’ve had outstanding work orders since October. I’ve sent numerous emails, made phone calls and spoken to management several times. I have a non working dishwasher that has mold that was to be replaced. I am still waiting for it even though I was told in February that it had been ordered. I have a shower that won’t drain. I was told since I have two other showers that it’s not a priority to fix it under the law the apartment complex apparently has the right to decide when to use this against paying residents. I have Sheetrock that needs to be replaced. I have framing and a weather strip that’s to be added, but again no contractor has been sent out to fix it. I have a 5 months that sleeps in that room. It’s hot, and there have been several times that insects that could hurt us have found their way into that room. I want something done ASAP! I’m tired of waiting and keeping my mouth shut. I’ve been patient and kind. I’m now tired and fed up! I don’t pay to live in a shack! Oh and even with all the needed repairs and no response to getting my carpet replaced bringing that I’ve been here 4 yrs my rent was also increased. If it was possible to leave zero stars I would. Signing a lease at this complex is single handedly one of my biggest regrets. On move in day the apartment was not ready, needed a new dishwasher, which was wired improperly and blew our power and AC for the first night. There was a broken window (which was not fixed for 6 weeks), broken ceiling fan, no hot water, no mail keys, and no option to buy parking. The first week of being here the disposal completely fell out of our sink and drained all over our floor, we didn’t have hot water for the first week and when we got it fixed there was only hot water for another 3 days. Bad faucet in the shower was replaced and the tile it was replaced with does not match the rest of the shower. We did not receive mail keys for the first month of residency and mail was lost/returned to sender because of this. A few weeks ago they came around and sealed off our fireplace with a huge slab of granite that not only means I can’t have a fireplace like our lease says it’s an absolute eyesore and ruins the living space of the apartment. Requests for parking have been made since the first week of move in and still the complex seems to have a lack of understand of who owns what spot. For my first nearly two months here maintenance had to be in my apartment nearly multiple times a week. None of this would be such an issue if the management was able to provide any sense of security or urgency to issues brought to their attention, but unfortunately they are hard to get a hold of and rarely helpful when you do. Dear maintenance guys, this is not a jab at y’all you’re always very friendly, helpful, and timely if I could separately give you five stars I would. Everybody else please pull it together cause I’m bout to break my lease. Anybody looking to sign a lease just don’t do it.Edit: sorry there’s just so much wrong with this complex I forgot to add there is a lot of crime, my neighbor had all four of his tires slashed a couple weeks ago, have heard multiple gunshots since moving in, police visits are regular and frequent, and they are renovating the apartment below my townhome without any communication with us. I returned home today barely able to breathe because of the fumes from paint below me, I hate to imagine what would have happened to my dog if I had not returned home earlier enough.Again just don’t lease here under any circumstancesEdit #2: sorry there’s literally just too much to list, we pay monthly for pest control but recently have been seeing bugs crawling out of our disposal and have never once seen any kind of “pest control” around the complex. Just adding also to this edit that this post will probably be an easier way to reach management than calling or emailing. If I had any faith at all that you’d pick up the phone I would just call and we could handle this but that always seems to be an issue. This is my experience here after only four months, it’s only safe to assume the list of complaints will grow exponentially over the year.

If you are thinking about moving here, DONT DO IT. You will regret it sooner than later. The apartments are infested with roaches. No matter how clean you are, or how many times you call pest control to come out and spray, it will not help. Right after I moved in, there was a leaking pipe that caused my kitchen/dining area to flood. They came in and cut multiple holes in my walls to figure out the issue. They finally pinpointed it after months, and instead of actually fixing it, they just slapped a band-aid on it and now every few weeks I wake up to water on the floor. It also took them months to patch up the holes they cut in the walls, and they never came back to paint or replace the baseboards/flooring that now has water damage. Also, my AC/heating unit has broken multiple times. Each time it has taken them over a week to come out and fix it. So yea, Ive dealt with no heat in the winter and no AC in the summer. Horrible. The bathtub floor started to peel and crack soon after I moved in. Theyve refused to fix it and blame me. I know they are going to charge me for this when I move out which is annoying. Putting in a work order is practically useless because maintenance seems to ignore them. I have to call the office multiple times which is unacceptable. I know the rent is cheap compared to most apartments, especially for the size, but its just not worth it. The problems are endless. And although they are trying to make improvements, Im not willing to stick it out any longer to see if things get better. I cant wait to move!

Most the time when I call the office during business hours, I get put through to voicemail where it says please call during business hours 9am to 6pm.3. Whenever we ask for something it takes forever to get it. Example I asked for a parking spot (I have it now) and it took about 2.5-3 months to get it. I had to call every week to ask for updates and I would be told that they are working on it and they will call back.

For the conditions of this apartment, the move in fee is too much. My brother has had 3 apartments before attempting to move to this Hendrix because of the 3/3 that is convenient. They (Hendrix) is charging 350 deposit which is understandable, but is trying to charge a penalty fee of because my brother doesn’t have credit. He is debt free but this apartment complex sees that as a bad thing! The “Penalty fee” is $1,350!!! Not including the first Months rent which is $1,350. The first months rent is 3,075 at the least! You do the math. We have never heard of this... Have you? The roads are terrible, the apartment doesn’t come with ceiling fans, and the ceilings are not high. I can touch ceiling standing 5’10. The more ridiculous the hidden fees are... the happy they are as somebody else commented. 😒

I cannot remember the last time I have not seen a unit ahead of a car, drive into a No Outlet street, to flip a U to get behind someone coming home behind the unit. They did it to me and a couple of female friends and we were walking. The workout room is small, incased in glass in the leasing office. Creepy but effective. Visited the park (for the HENDRIX residents only(no locks or codes)). A lot of children of all ages and demographics. Unfortunately some 12 or younger yr old boys bumped and grind on a single little girl as she enjoyed the attention. Parents were congregating within eyesight thus, no parenting. All of this happened within two days of us visiting the park our dog could play in. Never returned. The dog owners are respectful and ask if your dog is okay to play and will only unleash after some time of leash play. Will talk to you and acknowledge your pet. Cute dog park (no lock keeping dogs).

You will put work orders in and they will never get to it! Our heater was out all winter! After telling them multiple times nothing happened! The roads are cracked and you will bottom out your car no matter where you go. The worst part I think is how they try to deceive people into thinking it’s a nice complex with fake pictures of “the complex” in the office but will not find any of these places on site. Their way of fixing cracks in the walls before someone moves in is duck taping it and painting over it. We dealt with roaches all year no matter how many times they “sprayed insecticide”.my car as well as my friends cars got broken into. The laundromat that they offer is DISGUSTING and you can only put money are your laundry card when the office is open so sorry if you get off work after 5. I went in on a Saturday and it was super busy but Victoria took her time and showed me a studio and helped me get my application done. The one I wanted wasnt available so I was going to go with another unit. Victoria and Amy helped me get into the unit I wanted around the same time frame as the other one. They have both been extremely helpful and have been working with me really hard to get me into the new place. Thanks ladies!

DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!Theses apartments are unsafe and hazardous. I have been a resident for a little over 2 years and this past year let me tell you has been the worst year I have experienced in any apartment complex. They do their best to over charge and fine you but when it comes to addressing concerns - one word insufficient. Why are we charged a fee for trash when we have a trash service? && If you like a slew of random strangers in your apartment dont worry. There are inspections done every 2 months and you can bet it will be a different person each time. Random Inspections but nothing ever gets fixed. Parking is a joke and whats even more funny are the drones that work in the office.Yes the price is appealing but do not let that distract you from the fact that you can do better. Also you are nested between 2 very cheap hotels so they sometimes like to walk the apartments and rummage through the trash.

Im not going to lie. This place definitely has its issues. But what place doesnt? If you are like me youve had to learn to deal with whatever life throws at you. Ive lived here for about a month and it seems to be going well enough. No major issues as of yet. I have been trying to live here for over a year and have seen the changes in staff and management. And I have to say the two biggest improvements are Felicia and Courtney! I dont know what I would have done without them. I love how they actually treat you like a person and how they will sit down and talk to you and not treat you like a business transaction. Would I recommend living here. If youre new to the area yes. Its cheap and fits all budgets. Granted that there are nicer places out there I feel like they are trying to make major improvements to the property at least. But who knows whats going to happen by the time my lease is up. I will write another review then just for comparison

I didn’t have a very good experience with one of the leasing managers 3 weeks ago while trying to renew my lease after being a faithful resident for a year. The next day I spoke with Ms Courtney about my concern and she was incredible. She explained the transfer process, walked me through a unit and has done an awesome job assisting me with the process and because of her I look forward to being with the Hendrix for a another year. Thank you Ms Courtney!!!!

If price point is your only concern then maybe these apartments can work for you. The apartments are definitely affordable for the Austin market. If you are cool with fixing things yourself and never dealing with an unresponsive management team then welcome home!

Living at The Hendrix has been enjoyable, for the most part. There have been SEVERAL management changes in the 2+ years weve lived here, and that means that maintenance requests get lost/overlooked more often than we like. And between that, and the fact that these buildings were built in the 70s, means that some things left undone are quite inconvenient (i.e. flooring cracking/sinking, carpet tack strip nails exposed, windows need to be replaced). Otherwise, we do enjoy living here. Its a nice location - close to a LOT of stores, entertainment options - and the cost is manageable for Austin living.

My wife and kids still talk about this place when we talk about what we’re grateful for. When we look at places to live, my kids say things like “at least it’s not like the those apartments we lived in”. We made the mistake of choosing this place because of its cheap rent and large square footage. A few things:- Old A/C units mixed with brand new. We had an old unit and lived on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Our bills in the summer were over $400 because it never got cold enough. Blacked out windows helped a little. That in itself killed the savings we were hoping for.- My kids would find (and not touch) needles, syringes, and condoms around the mailboxes and basketball court.- If it got icy outside, the cement stairs and metal railing would have a layer of ice on them. Walk up/down them at your own risk.- The wasp nests that took over my patio.- The mold in my ceiling that was painted over- The kitchen cabinets/drawers that were falling apart.- The neighbor who became infested with bedbugs, was forced to move out, and was charged fees and penalties. (She fought and won)- The constant construction on the burnt down building next to ours that took years to complete. It’s been around 7 years since we lived there, and it’s obvious its had a lasting effect on my entire family. It was a great learning experience for us, and gave us something to compare against. It taught us how to be grateful for a home that doesn’t have as many problems as those apartments. I hoped after 7-8 years, it would’ve gotten better...but after reading recent reviews it doesn’t look like it.

PLEASE READ!! I Lived in Building 1 right behind the leasing office. If it was possible to give no star I would. Me and my 1 year old son moved into the Hendrix on June 10 of 2018 and couldnt be happy about it. There were roaches both living and dead in the fridge and sink in the kitchen. The base board was missing in my bathroom. Floors were filthy. While living there the ceiling was leaking in my bathroom, mold grew and it took forever for maintenance to handle it even though me and my child health was at risk. Second time the mold problem began I had a friend nice enough to let us stay with them until my lease is up because today it still smells of mold. I suffer from depression and anxiety and living at the Hendrix triggered alot for me especially being charged a pet fee for an emotional support companion my therapist suggested despite having the proper paperwork in. My porch floods every time it rains making it impossible to leave. No one fully understands the leaves they have people sign off on and if you pay for parking put in a request to end your parking before your lease is up or they will charge you an additional fee. The staff are unstable, the cops are putting everyone on live PD and the area is not one suitable for children. My apartment was totally different from the show room. I have more but I am just sick and tired and happy where I live now.

I know the price and size of their apartments can delude a person into thinking this place wont be as bad as it seems, but it will absolutely be as bad as it seems. You will have issues from day one, and if youre anything like me, you will continue to have issues even after you move out.The level of non-responsiveness from the leasing office, corporate, and their community manager is unimaginable. You can see in every other review that they will just give you a scripted, apathetic response that never actually address the issue presented. There is no genuine level of customer service with the Hendrix or Trinity Property Management. Ive attempted to contact them multiple times to no avail. Now, for just a few of the many issues I had while living here.1. After Hurricane Harvey a water bubble formed in my ceiling for a three days before bursting. I put in a maintenance request, and nothing was ever done about it. I asked about the possibility of mold, and I got a response that an inspection would be done. Never was, and I got absolutely no feedback about the issue. The hole is probably still there as we speak.2. They replaced our porch with shoddy roofing shingle sheets without any notice or alternatives. It made it impossible to walk on without shoes, not to mention the constant mess it made. Oh, and after our neighbors continuously let their dog relieve himself on their upstairs balcony, the smell then seeped into the sheets themselves. Leading to a wonderful smell once the sun came out. We put in several complaints, all requesting a response via email. Never heard a single thing back.3. When we moved in our kitchen cabinets were riddled with insect carcasses, and we even had roaches in the clock display of our stove! They also will try to pin fees onto you from the day you move in until the day you move out.4. The office has so much turnaround that no one ever actually knows whats going on. Ive been told packages werent there that were, Ive been pestered for information by leasing agents only for them to realize they already had it (threatening us with late fees the entire time), and their manager is the most unhelpful human to ever exist. The reviews from the last several years all confirm that that hasnt changed, and probably never will. Ive emailed her about these issues, got her famous scripted response, and she went right back to not responding. This apartment isnt worth anyones time and you will be constantly regretful that you chose to move in. I know theyre doing all these great renovations, but if Courtney is still managing that place, I would highly suggest finding another place to live. This place will just keep getting away with their abysmal level of customer service if you do choose to live here. Preserve your sanity.Im sure this will get a lackluster response from their team just like the other reviews, but hopefully, this will highlight the fact that you SHOULD NOT LIVE HERE.

Hi there, I just wrote a review on yelp. Yes I am here too. Why you might ask, because there wasnt enough space for me to finish why this place is the worst place on the face of the earth to live. Just one thing I am going to write on here, because I have already made myself clear on yelp, and there is no point to beating a dead horse.Only thing I want to say is imagine this...You get home from work, you recently had your car broken into not even 100 feet from your apartment. The place you are staying at has done nothing to help, or at the very least been kind to you. You had to buy a parking spot next to your door, which YOU are responsible for making sure no one parks in, and YOU are responsible for getting cars towed out of the spot. You pull up and your neighbor is outside. She yells down to you, did you hear what happened and you respond with no because you have been working a double at your work because you have to pay to live at a place you hate, but cant break your lease because it is more expensive to leave than stay. She then explains to you that her door got kicked down by the SWAT team because they were looking for, and are still looking for a criminal who had just murdered someone. Oh what a wonderful thing to come home to, especially when you live alone. So after seeing that your door has not been kicked in, you try calling the office, knowing you am going to get the overnight operator, who might know whats going on. She does not, because no one has been informed except for your neighbor. So after having to have a friend stay the night with you, you call the next morning up at the front desk. They have no reassurance because they have nothing to say or anything to help you with. Now you have to go to work in hopes that there is not a killer hiding out in your apartment when you get home.Scary huh? Well that has happened to me while living at The Hendrix. So welcome your family to this place. A place where a gang killing has also happened across the parking lot as me and all they do is change out the carpet here. Bring your family to this place that is infested with bugs because there is a unkept ditch right outside your window. Oh wait! Did I say window, I clearly meant, because a lot of these apartments dont have them, sliding door that is locked by a rod that fits into a little piece of plastic. That is keeping you and your family safe. And if something is broken or leaking in your home, oh dont expect it to be taken care of for a few weeks, maybe months. Or maybe if you are so lucky as to have maintenance come to your place, you might get the special treatment of getting the water damage stain in your ceiling painted over and told it was taken care of, but months down the line when the mold starts to grow, they have no idea how it could have happened. Bring your family to this place where everyone who leaves The Hendrix hates the chunk of time they lived here, and walks away more clinical towards life than before. Thank you for your time, I wish I could give this place no stars.

The mailboxes keep being broken into. Why arent there security cameras??Before it was canceled we were 1st in line on Live PD. No patrol, no safety measures. NO CAMERAS. Dont move here until your safety is at least secured. Its not worth the extra space for the money. They use outside contractors for jobs like roofing and paving. If your plants are destroyed due to roofers dropping stuff on your patio, too bad. if your car is damaged due to pavers, too bad.

I know a lot of people have complaints about the apartments. There is a lot more good than bad for me. For one Courtney in the office, is awesome. She is so sweet, she cares if you have a problem and she handles it and quickly. To have someone that you enjoy talking to but also solves your problems, rarely happens. I love my apartment and they are huge. I have only had a few minor problems in my apartment, granted they lasted a year bc the maintenance is terrible. They run them selves and they obviously need someone else to. That being said when after however long, I have gone to the office to say something Courtney gets on top of it Maintenance though, they are ridiculous. They are working on cleaning it up, upgrading the look of the outside and handling a lot of the issues as far as not allowing somethings to continue. The apartment size you just cant compare to anywhere else.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with these apartments! They were so nice and helpful until we signed the lease. First it started off with them not faxing our lease over to the electric company like they said they would, it got to the point where our electricity was almost shut off. Not only that when we went back to ask them to fax it in, they still didnt do it. We had to go back again and stand there and watch them physically fax it in for them to do it. We also had so many troubles with the appliances and leaks at our apartment to the point where we could only use one side of the sink to wash the dishes quickly so that it wouldnt drain underneath the sink. It always took them at least over a month to get anyone out there to even look at the problem, much less actually fix it. Safe to say we got out of the apartments as soon as our lease was up. But it doesnt stop there! A year later I find out they charged us an insane amount in move out costs, but did not notify my roommates or I about it. When I called back about it to ask them they could not give me any information regarding it.

This is the first time Ive reviewed a place Ive ever lived negatively. I generally roll with whatever, wherever I live. However, this needs to be said: This company is not interested in the safety of their residents. There have been several incidents, including gun-related violence right outside of my apartment. Last night, a man with a gun was not three feet from my door. Police were here. Even better? The front office had no idea and refused to work with me with my desire to move. I am frightened to go home and will be moving as soon as humanly possible. If you have a family or care in the least about your safety, I highly suggest staying away from this place. If you can, please pay more for peace of mind.

When I lived here the management lost a 500 dollar money order for almost a week and a half. They kept calling us and leaving us eviction notices on our door. The gentleman we gave it to even told the management that, yes he did in fact take all of the orders and the money was correct, and that it was on there end that the problem was arising and not on mine. After a week and a half of calls and eviction notices they finally found it. But guess what? We never got a call saying we did and we never even got an apology. I had to go into the office a week later to find out that the money order was just stuck to another in the lock box they had them in. Did they even look? If youre going to live here MAKE SURE you get them to make a copy of your money orders each time you drop them off to pay your rent, for your records.

The apartment home looked nice inside thats the only good thing I can say. I just moved in 04-13-2019. My experience so far hasnt been pleasant. You would think for new residents Hendrix Apartments would show a great first impression or for any apartment complex. When I initial inquired about the apartment in March of 2019, Hendrix apartments said the apartment would be ready on 04/02/2019. That was fine because I wanted to move in on 04/12/2019. On date of move-in 04/12/2019, I came to pay my deposit and prorated rent, but only to find out the apartment wasnt ready. I had to move in 04/13/2019. And keep in mine I still had to pay prorated rent from 12th. I know its just a day, but hey its money. Thats not it. So now Im settled in and the apartment is not ready. My toilets do not flush, my sinks do not work. Hot water is not working. And some of lights are not working. Ive put in maintance request and also I went to the office. Ive waited and Ive been patient. Still nothing 04/16/2019. Way to make a first impression.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!First I want to say that the intent of this review is to educate people who may be looking at this apartment complex to be their future home. I want to start off by saying that this apartment complex is in a great location. You have everything you need nearly in merely minutes away. I say that to say this. This is by far the worst apartment complex that Ive had the misfortune of living in. The maintenance is horrible. You have to literally stay on them to get anything done. The water has been shut off more times than I can remember and a few times without notice. The parking and parking lots are terrible. There are always large pot holes that takes forever to get fixed. Any repairs to the parking lot takes forever which makes an already bad situation worst. The buildings are not sound proofed by any means. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING, hope your not a light sleeper. This complex has change from the International Residence to The Hendrix Apartment Homes in the past year. They have worked to change the image of the complex on the outside but where the work is really needed is being overlooked. In closing you have to make your own decision about where youd like to live and if you make the wrong one it could make your experience there very unpleasant so please DO YOUR RESEARCH. If you do happen to choose the Hendrix for your next home, I have a couple of thing that you can do to make it slightly easier to endure. 1.) Drive through and around the complex before visiting the leasing office. 2.) Be sure you check out the unit THAT YOURE GETTING before signing any lease. 3.) Make a log of any work order requests to include completion dates. Also if possible be present for all work order repairs. 4.) Monitor your electric bill closely.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I am new to TX and was referred to The Hendrix by another apartment complex. I was looking for an affordable apartment home with BIG rooms for my family of 6. I got assistance from Sara Zehr, who I have to give kudos for going above & beyond on making the process of applying very smooth. I am a home owner in another state and have not rented in years. Sarahs costumer service skills are AWESOME which made my decision to proceed with applying to the complex, even after I read all the negative reviews. Sarah was very patient and was very thorough. Quickly returned my calls. Unfortunately due to another workers mistake I was unable to get approved for the apartment. I am now waiting for a refund from them within the next 30 days. Hopefully I will get my deposit back quickly!
