My experience has been wonderful so far. Clarissa made me feel important enough to message my every single question I had before signing my lease. . And I had a lot . The property has potential. I did have a water leak. Coming from tub into kitchen. I have a little knowledge in plumbing electrical hvac . From working with family in the business. I was able to fix it. Super easy. Just missing a rubber ring around the stem . I just might fill in the pot holes too but seriously .it’s some . residence that worry me. I would think people have pride in there living and surroundings. It doesn’t seem to be the case here. I have never experienced this before . I tried to get the community to get together and clean up the place and over behind the fence. I posted a sign up sheet. But it was quickly ripped down. So I won’t push the issue. The pot holes and speed bumps are ruining my car. I have only been here 1 month 5 months to go. . It’s tricky. Because I do love the inside of my home. And the staff . 5 stars if not more. . We shall see how it goes. But for now. Thanks Starburst for my cozy flat.
My upstairs neighbor plays music at max volume with the base at max as well. They place their music sometimes for 20+ hours. I work from home and my roommate works nights.I had to put insolation and base traps over my walls and windows and it all still comes in.I have tried to communicate with the upstairs neighbor as well as the apartment complex about this and it keeps getting worse. Solano won’t do ANYTHING about it. Even when there has been smashing and breaking of glass bottles thrown down from their patio.I don’t have a problem with any KIND of music but YOUR MUSIC IS FOR YOU ONLY and once the volume and base has gotten so loud that you sometimes shake things off a neighbors shelf then it’s the same as you breaking into their apartment. For Solano to not handle or even address this problem is a breach in contract and would absolutely be a valid excuse to leave without being held to the remainder of the lease agreement. That plus no parking at some hours of the night, mail boxes (that are right across from the office) being broken into and no working gates or security of any kind.I wish I could upload all the videos from early in the morning and late at night of this persisting issue. Maybe I will share a link in an update.
For my first time getting an apartment... I had the worst experience!! When we first moved in we were without ac for 2 weeks, they kept saying they will fix it and kept going on till we called Tenant council, after the 2 MONTHS OF “FREE RENT” they just put an “Eviction note” which out of no where they are charging us 100$ more after we payed over 500$ When we first moved in and the ladies in the front office are the rudest. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!
They treated me with more kindness and understanding, and had MUCH BETTER LIVING CONDITIONS than anything affordable near campus. Moving here from another city this was my 3rd apartment and favorite. Even after moving, my pet did do a number on the carpet and the fee was pretty reasonable/low even compared to other apartments. Spacious and clean and pet friendly nice for a college student trying to be on their own
I want to give the Solano apartment a 5 star rating because they serviced me until the end and with a smile. All questions answered and even things I couldnt think of at the moment. One person in particular stood out the most with an outstanding personality was Lidia Gomez. She brightens up the room. She is extremely knowledgeable and gives the best costumer service. Solano Apartment I would definitely recommend living here. Beautiful landscaping peaceful and safe.
I’ve lived here for ten years. Mostly because I haven’t had any real issues. The location isn’t bad and I haven’t had any property damaged or stolen in that time, although I can’t speak for my roommate who recently had his car scratched up badly by other residents who were drinking near his car. And I’ve held off writing a review for this place in all that time because even though it definitely doesn’t deserve any high praise, I don’t think it deserves harsh condemnation either. But as I write this my unit has no running water. Again. This is probably at least the third time in a span of two months this has happened. It’s a quarter to seven so the office is closed and there’s no maintenance workers working as far as I know. I’ve left a voicemail and put in a work order which probably won’t even be looked at until tomorrow if we’re lucky. This property switches hands often. At some point whoever owned these properties in the past at least had the consideration to allow residents to make emergency calls regarding maintenance issues if it involved running water. It happened once a couple of years ago. No running water and it was definitely way into the evening hours. Yet I was able to get through and get the water turned back on. No option to do that with Starburst. You call the same number for emergencies or otherwise. No extensions. And you leave a voicemail. Whether that voicemail will be heard by anyone before tomorrow morning is unknown to me. Starburst has and is currently pumping a lot of money into making these buildings look gentrified. Blue pastel color paint jobs. Smooth wood paneling over the cobblestone. If you didn’t know any better you’d think these were decent apartments by looking at them. And they can be. But definitely not worth the price of rent these pigs keep raising it to. None of the changes they’ve made has been put into making anything better for residents. Laundry room still has washers and dryers that are probably worth more being sold as scrap metal at this point. I asked the property manager if any of the sources they’re putting into renovating the exterior of these buildings will be put into getting new machines for residents to wash their clothes. He said yes. That was several months ago and that laundry room still looks like a room in a cheap terrible haunted house. The rent keeps going up every year. Residents have no power in Texas. All the power is in the hands of landlords. So we can’t bargain or have any form of rent control. Anytime I bring up the hike in rent I get the usual stock answer. And I’ve already had a few instances in the past several months where the maintenance workers haven’t been wearing a mask when coming into the apartment. I know I sound like a sh*tty Karen. To be fair the maintenance workers do fine work and are very timely and are semi-professional about it. But it’s frustrating and annoying. This property obviously has some water/pipe issues. Every so often we get notified that the water has to be shut off for maintenance. It’s been happening more recently, but this is the second time in a very short amount of time where it seems it’s not a whole building or property thing but just an issue with our apartment. It’s even more frustrating considering how much just the utility bill is: over a hundred dollars for just the water and sewer charges. I don’t know why it keeps happening. Starburst has to put in a system where the residents are allowed to get through to someone who can make things happen past office hours. People have families and things to do after 6 pm that involve running water. If we can’t get in touch with someone who can fix those issues after a specific time then it’s ridiculous. Especially in a apartment complex that keeps upping its rates to compete with superior properties that more than likely care about their residents more and probably have newer and dependable pipes. Rant over for now.
They were so so. #MilesTwoGo
I have been a resident since 2017 and I can say we have the worst management ever. Since 3 nights ago we are having a huge trouble to find a parking spot available. You see other residents driving around for more than an hour for nothing. My wife and a friend went to the office this morning I they dont have a solution for this emergency. This is a real emergency since people are paying to come from work, park safely their cars and get home to rest; not to be worried about things this management should be taking care of.
Nice property!! Specially the manager Frank he is the best!! He always provides a good customer service and have a smile for everyone!!! He is the awesome!!!! Thank you Frank!!!👍🏼👍🏼
Another update... (Im updating again. Last week, I reached out to the new apartment manager by email who contacted me when she received it. She was nice and she listened. As well, she actually spoke with maintenance and they fixed some things in the apartment that needed attention. There is still some improvements needed, but atleast there is some effort behind it. Seems like Maribel has standards that she upholds. Fair is fair... She got something done within a few days; anyone should appreciate that. I do. As for the parking, trash, animal waste, nastiness, work still needs to be done. As I see improvements, I will update.)Well, it was a front. Dont move here. I like Vanessa, she is helpful and sweet, but it has gone downhill again. They improve for a while, but then they get comfortable. This time, I was lied to about my lease. Usually, more than two months before my lease is up, I am given the option to release, give a notice, or go month to month. Well, I guess since I had to call the tenant council and health department to get some things done, I am nothing now. The lease clearly states that between 90 and 5 days prior to the sixty day period before you move, you get a notice. However, if you do not get this notice, then you should give notice within 30 days prior to moving that day. I got the notice after the 60 day period had started. I asked Maribel Torres about this and she insisted that I had to give the 60 days. I feel like they are about money and that is all. DO NOT MOVE HERE OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF IN SOME WAY!!! Im glad to move... Also, it would be nice if management really cared like they attempt to seem in their responses. You get in touch with them, they shovel their BS at you for a few days, they ask you to change your review, then everything goes back to how it was before. It happened to me.
The perfect place to raise your family!
Recently Avesta Solano Apartments was bought out by a new company. This company decided to make about 1/3rd of its parking RESERVED and charge the tenants who already live there an additional $50 a month. This was a change that was made without any tenants knowledge until it was too late. This was additionally after a price increase made to the already sub-par quality of housing service; however, things that have needed repairs: gates, potholes, A/C unites, patios, mailboxes, etc. have gone untouched. Meaning the price of living at these apartments has gone up while the expectation and service has declined. As documented in the photos bellow, there are more RESERVED parking spaces than open spaces on any given night. Many of the reserved spaces are unclaimed. There are more empty spaces than there are cars needing spaces. Cars, which have to park outside the apartment complex. This change occurred during the hottest parts of the year also. Meaning anyone of these two bedroom apartments could be spending as much as $200 a month just to stay cool. Who has the money to also include $50 a month on top of that as well as the rent. This isnt the nicest part of town and most residents living here are in the lower financial brackets. These non-reserved parking spaces get filled up as soon as 8:30pm everyday. If you are wanting a parking space now, you will need either quit your job and find a new one and/or change your hours. Not everyone is in a position where they can do that. There are also few if any handicap spaces. Maybe only one per building. It should make you sick to think that 70+ year old women now have to park outside the apartment complex and walk in the dark just to get to the home they payed for. And to add to all of this any vehicle found in any of the unclaimed RESERVED spaces, will be towed away. Regardless of the parking permit the resident had already payed for.The new owners should have given ever resident an assigned parking space and then enforced a vehicle limit, but due to this being an extortion like grab for more money, I am sure they wouldnt have gone with that idea. This needs to change and fast.I am not sure how close to extortion this kind of action made by the company owners is, but most states define extortion as the gaining, or attempt of property or money by almost any kind of force. Forcing people to pay or have there car left outside the protection of the gates or have it towed could fall under that category. If this remains unresolved, this could become a much larger problem than it already is. Especially if this is a way of pushing tenants out to make way for new ones.If any of the management reads this, please fix this outrageous issue in the most expedient way possible. Thank you.
I am very pleased with Avesta Solanos staff and management. Ashley, who works in the front office is very kind and helpful . . . she is always available to answer all my questions/needs. The apartments are great! Before I moved in, they painted and cleaned it entirely and did it quickly. My rent is amazing! I have a one bedroom for $600.00 a month (Wow what a deal) we are located 6 miles from the down-town area (nice central location). My neighbors are lovely people. . . I feel very safe and at home. I could not be happier (:>-)
I want to know when this management is going to take care of the situation we are having with parking. No spots available at 10pm when people get at home from work. Folks driving around disappointed while there are many reserved parking spots without use, because we are obligated to pay 50usd to get a reserved one. Find a solution. Thats your work. We pay to get at home from work, park our cars safely and rest.
The staff here is nice, well Lilli and Melissa are the only once Ive dealt with so far. The apartments are nice. I just moved into a 1 bedroom and its so spacious for me! The storage closet in the living room could easily fit a washer and dryer, not sure why they arent included but I dont mind going down to the laundry facility to wash.I am so pleased here.
IF YOUR CONCERNS ARE: Parking, Break-ins, lousy neighbors, Work orders being completed in a timely manner. Then save your money and time, look elsewhere. :)No stars from me but had to give a fake one in order to post. First of all my apt got broken into, and the office, did NOTHING. The office staff are extremely rude, they definitely dont wear an approachable demeanor at all. Maintenance work orders take their sweet time to be completed, but when it comes to money they are quick to withdraw that, right! Of course... oh and also you have to premeditate whether you will have visitors later that day because besides resident stickers there are also VISITOR STICKERS. HOW INCONVENIENT IS THAT? What if someone wants to visit me after office hours that I dont know off? What am i going to send them away because you need a sticker to visit me. I dont think they realize how ridiculous that sounds... will not be renewing. This place is the worst.
You get what you pay for. The rent is cheap so the service of the front office staff is poor. Theres always a line of residents waiting for the staff because only one person is working at the front office. Maintenance requests can be filed online for convenience or in person & are generally responded to within 48 hours. Its helpful that there are also parking decals & I rarely have to park far from my unit unless I get back to the complex late at night, but visitors parking is scarce. Besides that, I wouldnt recommend Avesta Solano to anyone. My unit is near the pool so at all hours of the day & early into the night there are people at the pool in the summer months blasting music. No one ever answers the phone in the front office, Im assuming due to staffing reasons, & staff never seems willing to help. I received several different answers regarding breaking my less or starting a month to month lease that I wont be surprised if I receive a totally different answer when Im ready to vacate. The front office is sometimes closed without notice to residents during business hours, & they often renovate areas of the property like the laundry room without notice, which is an inconvenience. I used to see security patrolling the complex, but not anymore. The maintenance staff attempts to upkeep the appearance of the property & pool area but mail is always strewn about the mail area & junk often strewn around the complex or trash & furniture left by the dumpsters. Half the residents appear unemployed which is a little suspicious to me because theyre able to see when you come & go. But like I said, you get what you pay for.
Going downhill fast. Maintenance used to be fast and professional. Now it takes weeks to get a simple AC filter. Recently bought out with no warning to residence forcing people to scramble to get money orders. Now were in the middle of the month and there;s still no word on how to pay our rent online.
Lived here several years and it wasnt great when I moved in but..... trash and laundry are horrible. Thats partly because of some of the nasty people that live here. And the pool! Never seems to be open!! Its the middle of summer.so....another two weeks later pool still closed all the time. today is Tuesday not closed for cleaning that supposed to be mondays. When I looked for apts I wanted a pool!! I pay for that pool in my rent!
Dont live here worst community ever. Cost is not worth the value. Never fixes items. They dont care about residents safety or well being. Saw neighbor pop door open with a cc and walk in.
My friends really like it for a well maintained building and swimming pool.
Avesta Solano has been a great experience!Exemplary customer service, friendly staff, and a SECURITY GUARD that patrols at night. The rent is cheap and move in is fast and easy. The apartments are older, but they are clean and well kept. My apartment even came stocked with water bottles, ice trays, toiletries, mug sleeve, and a sturdy re-usable shopping bag.The laundry rooms dryers dont dry and sometimes the garbage builds up near the dumpster, but those flaws are easily corrected and are eclipsed by the location. Avesta Soloano is in the heart of Austin. Located off the intersection of 183 & 35 I can get everywhere, fast. The complex is surprisingly quite; aside from the occasional midnight roar of a Motorbike or Ferrari no traffic noise penetrates the complex.I recommend this Apartment to anyone who wants a safe, centrally located, apartment on a budget. I am a very satisfied resident.
Great place to live! Ive been here a year now and have had a really good experience which I certainly cant say about some other apartment complexes Ive resided at. Friendly and professional staff and any maintenance requests Ive made have been taken care of with little to no wait times. A definite recommend if you are looking for a place centrally located to all that Austin has to offer.
Avesta Solano is a great place to live. The apartments are nice and maintenance is quick to respond to repairs. The ladies that work in the office are very nice and helpful and always greet you with a smile. My experience with Avesta Solano has been great and I highly recommend them.
I wish I could put negative stars as a review but I can’t. I signed my lease Dec 2018 ... it’s now April going into May 19 and I’m looking into any way possible to move from these apartments. The staff is incompetent and the maintenance staff doesn’t fix anything. I put in a work request and in it I stated I did not want anyone to enter unless I was home. Someone still entered my apartment. The work order I put in was for the living room area. I come home and the toilet seat is up as if a man had used it. I genuinely hate these apartments and it’s ridiculous how they are so bad.
I got my car towed twice for parking at a reserved spot that isnt being paid for that no one parks in because after 8pm there is LITERALLY NO PARKING ! J&j towing just wanted proof so i can get my car back for free but the guy in the office insisted that he would not call to tell them that its not paid for and that next time we have to pay $50 just to park at one LOL total bs they should really remove all the reserved parking spot that are not in use THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Do not recommend it here
I lived in this apartment and I have hell bad news for yall. This apparement worker are dishonest and this what I experience. They took my deposit and the promised me the first floor and they keep my money until the last day I was moving, then they told me they only have the third floor. In the office, there are three girls liking themself and they are unwilling to serve you. What is shocking is that someone get killed during the first month I moved. Check the news if you dont trust.Bad workers + No Service = Dont Lease.
This place is the worst place to live. I don’t even know where to start. If I could give 0 stars I would.- the second floors used to have carpet and now they have wood floor, so if you enjoy hearing your neighbor sneeze or pull out a chair this is the place for you.-they don’t cleaning their parking lots, so there’s screw and things that WILL puncture your new tires and then tell you it’s normal wear and tear and that they don’t care but they can’t do anything.-when you want to speak to a manager they spit out a number and hang up.-parking is so bad that sometimes you have to park 3 buildings away because anyone can just add cars to lease.Oh ! You will pay for extra things and still have cockroaches in your apartment even when you complain.Also. Don’t be surprised if they say they came to fix things in the apartment and they leave all the lights on all day long and then didn’t even fix what was needed. And don’t be surprised if they just burst in there. Trying to get ready for work and then there’s some random maintenance in my bathroom under the sink with all my stuff thrown around. All I want to do it move out now since my lease is almost over and I’m getting attitude from the people at the office for wanting to leave. Also what would I want to contact the office about? I go to the office and complain and all I get is attitude. I just want people that are looking for a new place to not move here. Or at least be warned. It’s not like you guys are going to replace my ruined tires.
This place sucks!! My friend lives here. everytime I stop to visit, theres trash everywhere. And they are always towing my car!!! You have to have a visiting pass and be parked on the visiting parking spots! And theres never any visiting spot available. Last time I came I parked on a regular parking spot, got my car towed!! And I had an pass!! Do not live here, Its bad, people are always getting there car breaking into! Update 2/15/18 they still keep towing my car!! This apartment complex is a joke!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!
I am a resident of 3 years in the avesta solano, 3 days ago there is a horrible situation to grab parking after 10 at night, I have gone several times to report the insident but there are no answers, there are no immediate solutions, I am afraid of Take my car if I park it in a place I dont owe. As I have many people, women who come at that time of their work, which constitutes a danger not only for them but also for men, there is no security. This is an emergency situation and those who have the power to solve it have not done anything, nor do they respond or have an action plan that alleviates the situation while they find an answer to this problem.
I get home from work late tonight and find out over 1/4 of the parking has been blocked off for repainting. There is no parking left and I am sure if I park up front or in Avesta Capella they will tow me. They have already towed me many time despite me having a parking permit in my window. I had to park in what I hope is a parking spot. If they have my vehicle towed I will post it here. Cant block off all the parking people need to sleep. Worst apartments ever.
I’ve only lived here 13 days and my apartment catches on fire. I was woken up by a smoke smell. my smoke detectors NEVER went off!!! Staff have not tried to contact me ONCE!! Office staff were very rude and also made smart remarks when my mother was trying to contact the office for my personal belongings. Worst apts ever!
My car was towed 10 mins after parking in visitors parking. They say you need a tag to park inside of the gate despite their being visitor parking inside. There is NEVER any available parking on the outside. Its currently 1.34 AM and my car is gone. Like this apartment complex is a JOKE! Roaches are in this apartment. Pest Control came out TWICE and nothing has changed. Dumpsters are filled ALWAYS! This complex is DAMN joke! This is my first review. Im more than frustrated right now. Dont apply for this place AT ALL!
If it was possible negative stars would be given 😷Facilities are never cleanThe staff is rude and nobody is on the same page. You will get a different answer from everyone you talk to.They will try to scam you, I had to bring up the leasing terms several times.Took several days to fix my A/C in the summer. The pool was green for several weeks, but not closed off to the public. The parking lot floods every time it rains. They are not considering fixing it.And the list goes on... save yourself the time
Im trying to get the correct amount for my deposit back. They overcharged me 2 water bills. We bought a special machine to clean the carpet so it was spotless when we left. Dont know why they are taking $91.00 out of my deposit for this.Is there anyone that can help me with this in the avesta Solano team?!?!
Very affordable. Has a playground, small dog park, and pool. Single-stream recycling dumpsters available. Interior of apartment: paint, countertops, fixtures and carpet are like new. The people who work in the main office are very friendly and helpful, but the maintenance staff can be intrusive and they dont always give notice before making a visit. This is one of the cheapest places you are going to find around and its not far from campus and downtown. Overall my experience here has been pretty okay.
Where do I start? Recently, a branch fell on top of my husbands pick-up truck so we notified the office to see what they could do. They said they would contact their insurance and would call us back. We went back to the office various times since they never called us and finally they told us the Manager, Maribel Torres, would be the one to contact us. We, again, waited a couple more weeks and nothing. My husband visited the office again and they said that the manager was at the other apartment complex nextdoor. So he went there and she said that the tree was not in their property but in the property on the back of the complex but she was going to communicate with them and by monday they would call or email us. Monday came around and nothing, no calls and no emails. By that time, we were about to move out in the next two weeks; on our last day Maribel was at the office and we asked her the status of the situation to which she replied that she was unable to obtain the address. Basically, she never had the decency to communicate with us and didnt even bother to apologize for it and when confronted with that she said that she told my husband that she didnt promise him she would get the address. Thats was not the problem in the first place, its you not telling us whats happening and leaving us in the dark for two months!!!As for the apartments, I wouldnt recommend them not even to my worst enemy. Cockroaches, people entering the complex that dont live there and harass tenants, loud neighbors (music and 4am visitors), multiple police interventions, and at some point we believe they were doing drugs on the parking lot. Save yourself the headache, pay a little extra and get yourself a decent apartment.UPDATE* To the owner who replied: I cant visit your management team because thankfully I moved from Austin and even If I could I dont think they would do anything about it, specially if Maribel Torres is involved. Besides they had two months to do something about it and failed to even reply an email.
Very friendly had a great experience! :)
Maintenance never came & staff are very rude.
The office staff at Avesta Solano are outstanding! Havent had an issue so far.cheap rent. i will recommended it to others!
I moved out of these apartments some months back I will start with that. However I can say I am finally finishing up with them 7 months later. I stayed in Bldg 13, my apartment had mold and maintenance would just paint it. My molded closet stayed that way the whole year because they didnt feel it was bad enough to replace yet. The paint bubbled and the wall was coming apart in the corner. We had roaches as well but a lot of cleaning and keeping all our food in zip lock bags help that decrease. I tolerated a lot of little things like the trash everywhere, the dirty laundry room, and a few deaths (1 natural), but my biggest issue would be my moving out process. We moved because of affordability within my budget expecting a baby plus the mold. However when I was finally out and received my move out form I noticed that right away my standard move out charges were set charges and were automatically more than my deposit meaning I owed them right away. I agreed with some but $100 to clean or replace the carpet I did not agree with. I left it clean and undamaged. I asked for proof but it was never emailed to me like I was told. No manager ever called me like I was told. Matter of fact they had a new manager ever time I called. So months later Im informed that a debt collection agency has been sent my info to collect that debt, which Im in the process of disputing. I just want everyone else to have a heads up and not move here and if you all ready have make sure you document everything before you leave. Dont allow a run down complex try to run down your credit or rob you and make you pay more than the place is worth, I mean hell the rent is more than some of the units are worth as it is. Just my experience.
Does any one else have problems with the parking i spent about 45 mins just looking for a dam parking space i had to park alll the way in the very back take my kids and my groceries alll the way to building 6 walking this is insane at least have 2 parking spaces for each apartment and if people need more spaces they should pay for them (this is at 10 pm) organization is a MUST❗️❗️
My ex-girlfriend almost died in a fire here. Would have given two stars but we are on good terms.
Great on taking care of there residents !
Avoid thise place !!!! The new staff are unfriendly and The team are uncorrect!!! I cain’t wait The leasing To expire. The laundry area is dirty, not available website, late informations.
Ive been living at Avesta Solano for almost 4 years, and I must say Ive had some troubles in my life...like losing a family member from cancer or something, but living situation has gotten better and better every year, and the worker all the way to Manager has mad an impact in my life, I even know them by name, so yes I gonna renew my again when the time comes. Thanks Avesta Solano
When moving out they never asked for the parking pass, which is $100 if you dont give it back. They also did the walkthrough and said I had to pay for cleaning and new carpets. I never got a letter from them about the fees, but I did get a letter from a collections agency saying I owed over $400. When I went into Solano to ask to see the documents proving I owed this money, they said they had shredded it after 6 months. And now, their manager will not respond to the proof of debt letter sent by my ID protection company and refuses to respond to any of my emails. I will never live in an Avesta apartment again. They are shady dealers and destroy documents without backing them up digitally.
It a great place if you are looking at low budget but if you are deciding between here and another place and the difference is only 50 dollars or less then go for the more expensive. The apartments are okay but there is never any parking close to were you live and the parking spot got remodel while i was living there and there are still put holes dont take my word for it look around yourself. The laundry place is the worst the machines dont work and even if you submit a request to get the fix they dont the washing machines dont produce hot water and there are only like 4 dryers that work the others leave your clothes wet. They have a fitness room but there are only a few machines and although no one uses them i did and the treadmill is one of the things i use and it was constantly stopping on its owned and after a submitted a work request they set it up wrong and it made a loud noise so i finally stop using them and just went to the gym. As for my experience i got approve around Christmas so i told them that it wasnt a problem for me to start on January the 1 to start fresh but they said that it wont be a problem to start after Christmas i notified them that i wanted everything to go smoothly that first day on the 27 since that was a Monday when the office reopens and they said no problem. To my luck i got there with the moving trunk as soon as they open and they told me that they could not give me the keys because there was a water lick and they were fixing and cleaning it. I got upset because i told them that i didnt want something like this to happened because i had to ask for the day off. they said sorry but we were not here because of the xmas holiday so there is nothing they could have done so after arguing with them i had enough and they gave me my keys until 1pm so was really unhappy. After that my mailbox was broken the previous attendant probably wanted to force it open but they took a week to replace the lock. So off to a bad start. But while living there the neighbors are not noisy and the apartment was okay there are a lot of people that own dogs and a lot of them dont clean their dogs dropping but that on them personally not the apartments fault just though i added because i did step on dog dropping throughput my lease . so if you can take care of yourself and dont require help from the front desk its great but when you do need help the only ones that can help you are maintance man themselves but from what i notice they are constantly understaff the ladies in the front desk can not do anything and if there a problem they try to blow you off by saying ill call you, send you email or ill will take care of it. When they can do anything until you constantly have to keep coming back and ask them again and again. if you decide to live here make sure to have proof of everything because they would try to take advantage of you. so again if low budget is good then take it but make sure you have patience and are able to take care of things yourself. Look around try again before you decide because for my renewal they wanted to charge me 778 for 15 months and i found a way better place for 40 dollars less they did have a move in special but at the same time thats 520 that i save because my term for this new place is for 13 months normally i dont write reviews but they do have an impact on a person because even i do look at reviews but i look at all because some people just write reviews because they didnt get approve or something in that nature so dont just look at the rating read and decide if that person is being honest or just writing to blow off steam hope this helps
The people in the office are great and always so nice when we pick up mail. This is good place to live.
Not worth the price increase that will go into effect soon been here for a year and when I walked outside the grounds were the cleanest since I been here like a city inspection was going to happen I lived in public housing and we kept the place better then this place is kept and our rent was what my mom could afford
I have lived here over 6 years and I am very happy. The office staff is very helpful.
Awful. The office is impossible to get a hold of, doesnt open when they say they will be open, maintanence has to come back 2,3,4 times to fix the same problem before its properly fixed. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
THE WORST APARTMENT TO LIVE in, you better go away and never lease here I promise you can go and live in another apartments no matter if you have to pay $50 bucks more, but never here, the office they never answer the phone; and the furniture in the apartment like the stove, dishwasher and the AC always get broken and they fix it but it get broke again, you know what? We were 4 days without AC in just the beginning of the summer can you imagine that? Damn, and about the parkings they doesnt care if you got a parking permit they still tow your car, that happens to me 3 TIMES, so believe me DO NOT LEASE HERE, I shouldnt be writing this long review if this were good apartment, BUT THEY ARE THE WORST I EVER LIVED BEFORE.Please just believe me.
I lived here for 1 year, and I had cockroach problems. They fumigated several times but kept coming out. I always had everything clean and collected; I do not know where they kept coming from. They claimed the apartment had been remodeled but the cabinets had minor water damage (they were spongy) and on top of that they were painted, they looked old and pieces of wood sometimes came loose. The laundry machines in the laundry room are always giving problems, we often had to pay for multiple dry or wash cycles because they did not dry or wash well (or just disnt work at all). They fixed them and on the same week they would stop working plus the floor was always dirty. The gate at the main entrance the is always damaged, they fix it and it is damaged the same day therefore, it often stayed open so it did not provide any security.
INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!! 1000% CRAWLING WITH ROACHES! I have sprayed with roach poison over and over and no difference theyre living inside the walls and in the ground!!! LOUSY SERVICE, forget about wanting someone to visit you without the threat of their car being towed and then when you ask the office staff for guest passes they try to interrogate you like a cop when its none of their business!!! and they get mad about their own policy. We tried to move to a different department and they had lost my move out information or never put it their system to begin with,so Ive had to stay another 60 days just to move into an apartment I was ready to move into already. And the new apartments could never get ahold of the staff in the office of Avesta because they wont ever answer the phone! You literally have to call them 15 times or more in a row before someone will answer with a sigh like its your fault they have to do their Job! My apartment has been entered while im working and food has been eaten and alcohol has been drank. But Im the only one with the house key so that means maintenance is coming in and messing around in peoples Apartments while theyre gone. This is the most ridiculous excuse for an apartment that I have ever had the inconvenience of living at.everything is a struggle with this place!!! Already shelled out $400+ dollars getting my guests cars out of impound!!! Things like this should not be a worry for an apartment in Austin the capital city. LIKE SLEEPING? Well let me tell you, you better get an apartment in the front of the building or else you will be hearing Mexican music blaring from cars in the parking lot until all hours of the night! TAHNKS BUT NO THANKS AND NEVER AGAIN!!! WILL NEVER EVER RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE,NO PERSON IN AMERICA SHOULD LIVE LIKE THIS.
If I could I wouldnt even give this place 1 star.I lived here for a year. I moved from California and at the time I didnt have much money and with my roomates we needed a place quick and cheap.Day 1 was already bad, a lady was yelling at my roomate for something petty about parking, theres no specific parking just open so not only people who live there park, but I noticed people who dont even live there park or hoard parking passes ALOT so theres never parking especially after 6pm, its also quite sketchy in the parking lots themselves with people drinking and smashing glass everywhere and trash like theres no tomorrow not only on the floor but overflowing in the dumpsters.Another thing that bothered me was residents not picking up after their pets. POOP EVERYWHERE. I would walk to my apartment and it just smelled of poop and pee. Since dogs tend to poop in the same area of course poop would pile up and just a trail of poop to my apartment by building 8.Last but not least the apartment itself. We moved in and the place wasnt cleaned, there appeared to be a dent on the door in the bathroom like someone punched it and they plastered it & painted it, roaches everywhere and we got bed bugs from our next door neighbor! They didnt even replace the carpet they only sprayed the wall and we had to throw away our mattress. We constantly had to get repairs at our place with water leaks, electricity, more water leaks and air conditioning problems, they never fixed it.I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are just in NEED of a cheap place sure, but you get what you paid for for this place. Keep your doors locked, dont step on poop and buy raid for those roaches.
Worst apt ever! I dont recommend anybody living expecially when u black. This people are racist the staffs are so rude. And the maintenance are racist. I dont recommend anyone. Bad customer service alot racist people in the complex they give bad look. Like they pay you rent .. they will robe u blind. Alot extra charge they cant even explain to u. Worst place
The Ladys in the office are very dedicated to there work and very profesional. I have been helped mostly by the same person (Kaitlen)and she has always offered excellent customer service.
I called almost everyday to get updates because the staff never called me. That lasted for about 3 weeks. Then they said there was something wrong with my husbands credit. Turns out that was a lie and he ended up getting another more expensive apartment for our son somewhere else with no problems. Sheyla, an employee there, has YET to call back like she said she would and its been 3 weeks..... I was really disappointed with how she handled the application process. Im glad things didnt work out, though, because they cant even answer a phone call there.
Place is trashy & dirty outside. The drain in the parking lot is blocked so there is a lot of standing water when it rains.
Paraiso floorplan - The wall separating kitchen and living has been water damaged for 10 months, you can touch the wall and it falls apart and it is turning brown to match the rust water that has been covering my electric stove each day with fresh brown gross liquid.Lease started 2/2017 (13 month lease) Starting in August 2017 - Water begins leaking from the ceiling of my 1st floor apartment. Fast forward to May 2018 and the kitchen needs a 3rd set of new cabinets and the wall is so soaked with water above and surrounding my electric stove no less) that you can poke it and your fingers goes straight through. The walls are turning brown (to match the color of the water) and the apartment smells of mold and mildew. My dog had to be placed on antibiotics to fix a cough and if I come home just to sleep I go to bed feeling fine and wake up unable to breath well. I have complained, requested repair, reported to the property owners, and the BBB and they come to the apartment, clean up the visible water and then call the repair complete. I am including a few photos taken over the past months. If you need more of a reason not to rent here --- multiple buildings have caught on fire during my time here including the one right next to my apartment.
Well I am back to update again I was told that they have a pest control company to fix roach problem I complained couple weeks ago no action yet waiting for parking spot since I rented I think it’s been three months if you are planning to move here be ready to deal with lot of roaches and you will not get any parking as promised they simply told me it will be after my lease is over so no parking no parking at outside street and they will tell you that they divide water bill but how they divide it they won’t tell you if you ask it will be okay first couple months than they charge you ten times more my suggestion please make sure everything before you lease here or don’t even bother
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TRY TO LEASE HERE! Absolute worst property management company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Im a full time student and I work part time and I tried to lease a one bedroom apartment here earlier this month. I love the location of the property and its the most affordable Ive found in Austin but that is not worth what you have to go through. I put in an application under the impression that I could use my financial aid as income to qualify for the apartment, two different leasing agents told me that. I pay $125 for admin and app fee and submit application. Immediately after submitting I was told that I could not qualify on my own and that I would need a guarantor who qualified for 5 times the amount of rent (ridiculous that someone has to make over $3,600 a month to qualify for a $739 a month apartment) and they my guarantor would need to pay an additional application fee. I wouldve never have submitted an application if I had known that I would need a guarantor. Desperate to find a place to live, I had my mother be my guarantor. Three days go by, no word on my application. I call and call every day to check on the status of my application each time CAITLYN promised she would have it done by the end of the day. Guess what? She didnt do it. Lots of other unprofessional things, never saw the actual property manager in the office once. Couldnt get answers from the property manager because shes at one of their sister communities which is literally right next door. These girls that work in that office have absolutely no idea what theyre doing, not TREC compliant, DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE TEXAS REAL ESTATE COMMISION WAS! Im fine with things taking a few days or whatever but do not promise someone who has no place to live that you would give me word on an application. Been trying to get my money back but according to their rental criteria its non-refundable. Argued on the phone with Caitlyn about getting my money back because these people are lazy and did not even approve or deny my application within the three days that they promised they would. Liars, cheats, money hungry business. Horribly managed property, I dont suggest renting from any of the Avesta properties. I could type so much more but Im just trying to save someone else from this mess. I gave Avesta so many chances to make things right and they did not even make an effort. I STILL WANT MY MONEY BACK AVESTA YOU LIARS!!!!
Our cars got broken into the first week we moved in and the basically told us to shove it. It happened 3 more Times after that, our neighbors house was broken into by someone from maintenance. It was always dirty, trash every where like in the parking lot. It was a very expirience living there, especially when youre trying to raise a baby. I wouldnt recommend living here.
The GM is Maribel she is very disrespectful towards worker especially the maintenance crew. She really toxic leader bringing the whole place down
I work at night, and I can never find a damn parking lot after 11! Its unbelievable
The worst apartment in Austin, unprofessional staffs, bad maintenances, noise neighbors, car break in all the time, unsafe place to live. The apartment staff lie and say anything to sign the lease. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Friendly staff, great apartments
Dont expect anything to be repaired a work ticket has no meaning in this apartment complex, they have not fixed anything ever that Im aware of living here, fridge bad, stove one burner, shower not fixed from pour patch job leaking toilet fuacet never showed up to fix .roach spray from ABC nonexsistant but youll paying for it .being trash you get treated like trash .because thats what your are when your living here .
I live here and the lady at the front office is so rude unprofessional and doesn’t know how to talk in a nice tone to people & I’m not the only one who thinks that I’m sure.
Our AC hasnt been working for a couple days and its 78°+ inside, and it STILL hasnt been fixed despite the multiple calls to the emergency maintenance.
If you love yourself enough you wouldnt chose to live at Avesta. The apartment might look nice on the outside but the inside is so messed up.Run for your life
Great apartments !
They associate with J&J towing service..J&J towing just towed our car last night. We have the apartment sticker! the Manager needs to talk to the J&j towing company. because this is the second time they do this ! we have our apartment sticker on our car! Im so upset!
Maintenance request take awhile. The front office doesnt always have the right answers immediately. Parking sucks, there arent too many spots ever.
No parking for guests literally ever. Trash in the grass. Bad customer service DO NOT MOVE HERE
These apartments sucks, specially the staff are worse nightmares
Needs work
Clean and quiet!!!

The security is lousy, the security here is not inside there is a lot of people going through the cars to see what they can find and Ronper the glasses to work at night came home at 3:00 am and one day a guy said he loved asking me to take him I do not know where a lot of thief is entering almost by force and everyone who is fleeing from the police only here comes to give
At first, since I called to make the appointment, they treated me very well and when they came to the appointment they treated us super well, kindness they showed me the apartment is beautiful, everything is remodeled, the deck and a new patio are being held, I think her name is Ana the lady who we are He attended I recommend them
Carmen from the office is very rude to the guests and speaks very badly of her colleagues. I have heard her when I go to pay my rent and she has very bad humor.
Lately they are not giving good maintenance service and I also went to the office to report something and there was no one who spoke Spanish is a pity
A very comfortable place to always live on the lookout for a clean place, what I like whenever I want to have something fixed, the maintenance ones are very punctual in that part I recommend them
Very good place to live, very quiet and very friendly staff.Maritza C.1156
Very nice rooms is an amazing place very good attention good maintenance in the apartments solano Apartments
Very good apartments in an excellent place in the city and the best service from your employees. With many changes in favor since the new owners arrived, without a doubt a good experience.
Do not hesitate to choose the Solano apartments, for me and my family we are proud to live in this community, the workers to whom the assistants are very friendly and understanding, in short, Solano a good option to give a home to our family
I am new here, Great condo very good workers are very attentive to all wonderful people the truth is I have no complaint about the wonderful place I loved it I recommend it to everyone
Divine everything ... super attentive staff. My partner and I just moved in. We are super satisfied with the place.
I am sad to see how many people get to put reviews only to harm a property that is trying to lift it, because they can not understand that things are changing and that all good change takes effort and time, be kind and benefit of doubt please. see also what there are so many people who do not even want to follow the rules, they take outside, they throw garbage out of the tambos even though they are empty, they let their children go to the pool without adult supervision and they get upset when the office staff He says something to them. This is not coherent people.
It is a special apartment complex since future recidents and rericedents are given the best attention, they have a work team with a lot of expectation and kindness, this great team is made up of workers who give off a great Humility and in turn transfer everything their affection and affection, always looking for the stability of the property for the benefit of all. They are trained to give solutions to all the problems and concerns of the recidents. It is in property where only others of the fresh air are repeated Peace. Love and Harmony I am very satisfied with my condominium or with the great work that the Manager and his great work team is doing. Blessings for all💕💕💕💕
The condo is very good quality is very good and the attention to residents is very good
