This is a great place. Its peaceful and its in a great location. The staff here is nice too. However I dont like how their rental rates go up every year.

I just moved into The Creek last Saturday. I unfortunately had a broken AC unit in my apartment but Tami, Jessica, and the maintenance team did everything in their power to take care of me. I was left with a portable AC unit until they could order me a new one and have it installed. They kept me in the loop and updated me every step of the way, so far I am having a wonderful experience living here and the staff are professional hard working people.

These apartments are actually super cute for how much they are. They are always doing renovations for the kitchens and putting in new carpets. They are quite spacious and nice for the $.Lindsay in the office is absolutely amazing! She is super responsive and so helpful. She keeps her cool even when I asked her a million questions before move in.I was having some issues with my current unit and she has gone above and beyond to help me figure things out, had maintenance come out that day, and did everything in her power to make sure I was happy at the end of the day! I would definitely recommend this property and Lindsay is the best!

Moved into a 3br apt with MANY issues, closet doors not hung, drains not draining, missing drawer in the kitchen, outlets without power, non working dishwasher etc, 8 months ago...8 months. Multiple work orders filed, refiled, calls made, emails sent and STILL repairs left undone. Repairs that should have been made before they rented this dilapidated apartment to anyone. Multiple conversations with management and maintenance only to be given the run around, made promises of tomorrow or plumber will be coming today, days spent waiting for no one to show or excuses to be made. Quite fed up. Wish I knew what slum lord owns this place because Id love to explain what goes in here. Weve paid our rent in full every month on time and this is how they treat us? So maddening...not to mention rent based on community amenities that have been closed due to needed repairs, the pool was finally repaired once summer was over and the laundry facilities are hit or miss whether they work, good luck with getting refunded for that too! If youre looking for a broken apartment you pay full price for and never get repairs made, this is the place! Easy to see why they cant keep staff, every call its someone new who is unaware of the issues and will look into it apparently they get bonus points for half-hearted apologies and how many excuses they can make for not taking care of the property. Cant wait to see what other issues arise from our master bath we havent had use of due to clogged drains and most recently (post repairs to drain) flooding into the carpet of master and linoleum that is bubbled up inches. Fun times. Run...dont rent here.

Ive lived here for 3 months and absolutely love it. Great part of town and quiet complex with friendly neighbors. I love the amenities especially the pool. The office staff is responsive, professional and friendly. The maintenance men are kind and knowledgeable. I dont plan on leaving anytime soon!

Disregard the reviews from years in the past. I’ve lived here for 6 months. And honestly only moved in because this was all I could find after the hurricane. But everyone has been great. Work orders completed same day most of the time. Bugs aren’t too bad. You might see one here and there but that’s anywhere you go. People in the office are very nice too. I plan on renewing my lease in March!

The worst apartment Ive ever had!!!!! Ive been living here for a year and four months. Im moving soon.Even though there are many people who take drugs, the apartment management office doesnt even manage them.Im a pregnant now, and my neighbors spread marijuana every day. I talk to the neighbor directly and protest to the office more than 10 times and nothing changes. Even the man in my neighborhood is not a resident here. But I dont understand why do nothing at the office.Anyway I dont understand why I have to live in this rubbish apartment wasting my money.Ill give birth to my baby and if theres a problem with him, Ill sue this apartment to the management office based on the evidence Ive collected.

The staff are very friendly and lovely people. They’re helpful with everything! I enjoy living in this area since it’s near everything! I love my apartment and if there’s anything i ever need i know I’ll be taken care of. Much blessings!

I’ve lived here for over a year. The service is GREAT!!!! Every time I have an issue with an appliance they respond immediately and send someone out to take care of the problem. The staff is very welcoming.

Lots of roaches. The people above me are very loud everyday. The laundry room the bottom left dryer doesnt work an the last two washers furthers from the door dont work that good. Dont know about the staff .

I have lived in The Creek Apartments for over two years and am renewing my contract for another year soon. I have had no issues and the apartment management has always responded to any concerns Ive had right away. If I had an issue with something not working, maintenance was there to fix it within a day. Management has always taken time to discuss any issues I may have. The community at The Creek has been great and the neighbors are wonderful. I would recommend The Creek Apartments to anyone who is looking for a quite place to live.

For the most part my stay in the creek has been tolerable and staff Is nice for the most part but believe me when I say I’m ready for this lease to be up! Waking up in the middle of the night from the trains I thought was the worst of it but NO THAT WAS JUST THE BEGINNING. Yes the prices are reasonable for one bedrooms but trust me when I say your thousands of roommates will be with you your entire stay. THERE WAS NOT A DAY out of my 15 month lease that I did not see a bug in my apartment. The pest control you pay for each month is a rip-off because the roaches are immune to the chemicals. I would not recommend living here unless you don’t mind sharing a one bedroom with the SPIDERS, ROACHES, and WATER BUGS THAT LIVE IN THE WALLS OF THIS ENTIRE APARTMENT BUILDING!

I am a former resident who now lives out of state and cannot personally visit the office. Since moving, my girlfriend and I have made numerous calls to the office in regards to questionable billing. All utilities were paid prior to moving out, and this complex has failed to return every attempt made to make contact. This apartment complex will absolutely take advantage of you. Absolutely stay away from The Creek.

I lived at The Creek apartments for a little over a year but I absolutely hated the time I spent there. I lived in a studio which was not horrible but the roaches were! No matter how many times we would complain or receive treatments, we ALWAYS had roaches. They were everywhere. They would be in the bed, they were in the kitchen, they were in the bathroom - EVERYWHERE. There was a period of time when I had roaches living in the outlet in my bathroom - I wish I was exaggerating but I am not. I would never recommend this property. Unfortunately, while I lived there there was also a string of car break-ins. The location of the property is close to downtown so thats convenient but because the rent is more affordable for the area, it did attract a lot of young people and creeps. I never really felt safe at the property. I could often hear people screaming and fighting thru the walls, pretty typical bad neighborhood feel. I am regretful that I stayed at that property for so long. I really feel like it gave the worst impression of what Wilmington had to offer. I would not recommend this property, I would caution against it.

Perfect for the price! The Creek has been a great experience for me. I would recommend it to everyone. The apartments are in the perfect location for someone working in the Wilmington area. It is really close to restaurants, shopping, and only minutes away from downtown. The management and maintenance people are very nice and professional.

If I could give negative stars I would. I was told the day i moved in the community was safe with a good reputation. A month later i got robbed. I was denied being let out my lease even though I felt unsafe. My car has been broke into 4 times by another resident. Still was denied being let out my lease. I takes a couple months before they decide to do a service request. Or they dont do it and still send you a survey for it. The first year I was here, every time we talked they asked if I had a dog. I have been asked that question way more than needed. I dont have any animals. I moved from one building to another. They are charging me 4yrs of carpet. They said I left a hole in a door. They didnt wanna show me the hole, just pictures. After we argued for 15mins, they finally let me meet someone at the building. No hole was found. They said I left dog poop on the floor. And smelled like pee. I dont have dogs so how? Those issues were brought to my attention a MONTH after i moved out. This place is shady and thieves. All the apartments are roach infested. They dont do real repairs. They rig and do patch work the apartments are disgusting along with the rest of the community. Trash has been around the yards for weeks. There is still broken fence in parking spaces from the hurricane. DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS REVIEW YOU GUYS DESERVE WAY MORE PUBLICITY FOR YOUR SHADY ACTIONS

I love living here! The apartments are very well taken care of, the staff is amazing! From when I was looking at apartments to now I have had nothing but a great experience. I would recommend these apartments to anyone!

The maintenance staff and office assistants are very pleasant and maintenance is pretty quick when requested.However, watch out for the managers there. They will try to lie and scam you when you move out. They did this to 3 of my neighbors and myself.Advice: Take photos of EVERYTHING before you move in, make sure you take the condition check-in sheet that marks the condition of the apartment and document EVERYTHING. If you can, even bring a staff member with you when you do so.Document ALL repairs that were done during your stay and have maintenance sign it (usually theyll give you a repair sheet before they leave though).When you leave, PHOTOS and DOCUMENT everything again, even bring a staff member with you to sign it when youre done.The reason I suggest this is because of the following:I left my apartment in almost the exact same condition I got it in. I cleaned the carpets at my own expense. The only thing wrong was one window blind that needed to be replaced and I forgot to install it. I bought the replacement and left it in the apartment for them do the work though.3 weeks after I left the manager emailed me and told me that the repair cost of the apartment would be over $300 and listed the repairs as replacing all window blinds, cleaning the stove and oven, replacing drips pans and shampooing the carpet.I replied back for him to show me proof of these needed repairs. He replied back that they already did the work. I informed him that without proof of the need repairs after leaving the premises I am not liable, however if he required proof of the state of the apartment after I left I would be happy to show him the photos I took before and after move in and move out.He replied, not even acknowledging my reply that I was also being charged another $150 for trash disposal of a couch. He stated that a neighbor gave him a statement witness that they saw us putting a couch by the community dumpster and leaving it there.I told him to describe the couch, he said it was floral, which was NOT my couch because I took ALL my furniture with me to my new apartment and sent him a photo of my denim blue couch set. I then informed him I would be happy to setup a meeting at his convenience within 30 days to show evidence against his claims and we could compare notes.He replied with a date and time of 1 week later. I arrived, only an office assistant was there and told me he hadnt come in today and was not scheduled to.I sent a message to him about this and never received a response. After 30 days I told him that he is required, by law, to return my deposit and that his claims were now void due to his no show at the appointment and I would be happy to take him to small claims court if he wished to continue to dispute the charges. Once again, no reply. I never received my deposit back because I couldnt get a hold of anyone in management. I determined that the cost of going to small claims court over the deposit would cost more than the deposit and did not pursue it.BE CAREFUL AND FOLLOW MY ADVICE IF YOU WANT TO MOVE HERE.

Great place to live! My only complaint is that the laundry room by the pool is constantly having issues with washers and dryers not working. The staff is very polite and super helpful!

I cant stress enough to stay far away from this place. I moved out a year ago (thankfully - the bug infestation is no joke). I was never contacted regarding any security deposit issues or repair costs needed to be covered. Then all of a sudden 10 months later a bill collection agency contacts me claiming I have an outstanding balance. The Creek never sent me a bill, emailed me or called me! They never tried to approach me and I certainly do not agree with the fines. They are for minor cosmetic damage that was already there when I moved in! It is all documented on the move-in condition sheet I filled out at move in, but because they sent it to a collection agency I was stuck having to pay it and unable to dispute it. WHAT A SCAM. STAY AWAY.

Horrible Place to live. From the 1st day that we moved in I noticed that there was a roach infestation. On top of that there where Squirrels in the ceiling above me. I brought it to their attention and it took weeks for them to even attempt to fix it. I had issues with the stove, Fridge, and AC. Again weeks passed and not once did the even attempted to fixed. 6 Months into the lease after being tired of asking for help and not receiving it, I finally called corporate. They Did fix it, but after a few weeks. Crappy place live in. Shady managers and staff, all around the worst place to live in. DO NOT LIVE HERE, IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE!! IF I could give this rating a negative amount of stars, I would. Not even worthy of one star.

I moved here because it was the only thing i could find in my price range. Overall, its a pretty great place to live. Yes theyre older buildings, so honestly, i wasnt suprised there are bugs. They spray weekly and you can request they do an extra spray in your apt. The walls are pretty thin, so i hear a lot of thumps and thuds, but compared to my 3 year old who loves to jump and run, as well as my 2 cats and dog, id say my poor neighbors got the worst end of the deal on that!The office staff is great! They always remember exactly who i am and are so friendly and nice! They host events like pizza night or pool parties. Maintaince is great too, pretty promt in fixing the issues ive had. There was an instance where i was having wasp issues, and while Maintaince sprayed the nests, they didnt knock them down, so the wasps were still hanging out. As soon as the office staff got my survey and saw i was dissatisfied, they sent Maintaince out to knock them down, and even made sure they talked with me about it when they saw me!For the price you pay, you are actually getting a great deal. Ive lived in nicer apts paying double the rent and still had the small issues i have here (bugs and thin walls), with less personable staff who are trying hard to make it right.I havent had any issues with my neighbors, they all seem pretty nice. While its not the greatest neighborhood, ive lived in worse and have never felt unsafe here.

They sprayed for roaches for 8 weeks straight and it did NOTHING. never seen an infestation so bad. fines on top of fines as soon as we left. New Management? Still sucks. kept to myself and never had problems with neighbors. Reported Black mold on my ceilings in 2 different rooms and they literally spray painted over it and then left. great location Horrible experience. theres plenty of apartments in wilmington for the same price as these. BEWARE THE CREEK.

I have literally never run across a more incompetently run apartment complex, and this is through the multiple management companies that the complex keeps changing hands between. The staff is practically impossible to reach and not a single employee can give you a consistent answer to any question. Our apartment had part of the flooring falling apart under the heater vent and a huge dent in the kitchen floor as well as a bug problem. After moving out in July my sister and I have placed 20 calls to try and get our deposit check back and now in DECEMEBER and have tried to claim on multiple occasions we have forwarding address errors on our end, which we have corrected and they still tried to claim it was out fault. Still in the process of trying to receive it 5 months later... Also, if you are a single girl looking to live here, be wary, as although it is close to Forest Hills its not and is close to a pretty scary area. I will note however, the maintenance staff was super nice and prompt. I see they comment on every bad review stating they are sorry for unsatisfactory stays, yet NOTHING has been to improve it...

Yes, there is a train track directly beside the complex. It is clearly visible. Common sense would tell anyone who doesnt like trains not to move next to a train track. As far as sketchy people...that is something that any neighborhood is subject to especially apartment complexes. As far as roaches I have had a few problems. Pest Control comes out but I am not certain that what they spray does any good. Seemingly they spray enough just to say they sprayed. This complex is one of the only complexes that I know of that will file eviction papers before the 15th. The new manager is not personable at all. Management has changed a few times over the last few months and all of the office staff has left. Many of the long time residents are moving out BC of the new management. They are upgrading the complex so I am certain the rent will increase. The Creek is OK for what you pay.

This place is a disgrace. They tell me to turn my parking decals in, then over night they have my car towed. I tell them they have to reimburse me for it and the manager is like its not our problem. This place is a joke. Do not move here. You will regret it.

A few weeks after signing my lease and getting ready to move in I get a phone call from the “new management” stating that the apartment I had signed and PAID for was not vacant and would not be on my move in date. I was FURIOUS. I signed a LEGAL document for a place that was not vacant and they decided that the current residents had seniority over me. I should’ve got a lawyer right then. Managment emailed me telling me that she was going to give me an “upgraded” apartment rather than the apartment I had signed the lease for… upgraded only meant I have tile on the wall in my bathroom btw. She also later wrote in the email “It doesn’t happen often but it can happen.” WHAT?!?!? So they have people signed a lease for an apartment yet they cannot move into even though on the LEGAL DOCUMENT the move in date and room is clearly stated, not to mention this happened the week I was supposed to move in! I had no other choice but to move in due to the timing but I would classify this as poor management at its finest. I still think about getting the law involved over this.Paying rent is a pain in the, if you want to pay online you only have a 3-4 day window to do so or they will charge you a 3.1% “convince fee.” Their website is always shitty and you will have to use an actual computer to log onto your account due to their site not supporting safari which is what is usually on your mobile device. I was away on vacation one month and did not get the chance to pay online, went up to the office on Saturday to pay rent before I had to go to an important event waited over 30 minutes (along with 5 people) for the “leasing agent” to arrive. Go figure this is a NEW employee, the last “agent” got fired, turn over rated is ridiculous. The new leasing agent did not once say sorry or act like she was in a rush to help the residents after being 30 minutes late.3 months later… I got a bill stating that my water was over $100 for my very small 1b/1b, keep in mind it is just me living here. I bought it up to management and she stated she would get right on it. A week later I come home and there is a paper sitting on my bar signed by the maintenace crew. Apparently, they thought it was okay to come into my apartment without asking to take pictures of my water meter, I was beyond upset. I never said anything because I knew they’d brush it over like they did with my LEGL DOCUMENTATION OF THE LEASE. A week after that, I contacted management asking what has been resolved with my water bill, she emailed back asking if it was okay if maintenance came in and looked at things…. they already did!!! Poor lack of management yet again!! I told her I did not appreciate them coming in without asking and she goes on to say that I should mentioned and in the work order that THEY CREATED ON MY ACCOUNT. I don’t even know how to put in a work order!! There is cockroaches everywhere, the A.C. is obviously older than me (never get below 78 in my apartment yet constantly runs,) the A.C. leaks onto the carpet, 2 of the neighbors I’ve met hate it here, my boyfriend had to park in a non visitor spot due to the apartment complex having a truck and trailer parked sideways in the visitor parking area so he had no where to park. They towed him next morning. Went to speak to them about the situation thinking that not other was there no where to park but after everything they’d done they would fix it. Nope. Had to call corporate and they were no help either. I asked corporate about terminating my lease but they require $690 to break the lease as well as 60 days of notice before moving. This apartment complex and the company that runs it is a complete scam and care nothing but the money! Pray for me the next 6 months I have on my lease.BEWARE OF THE CREEK!!!! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX TO ANYONE AND HAVE TURNED MANY PEOPLE AWAY FROM THIS WRECK. BE SMART AND DO THE SAME.

Worst place ever. Roach infested. Mold. If you want asthma, or death from illness, this is the place to live. If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would.

Very Friendly & Understanding Staff

Do not rent from here! The woman in the office are rude and unwilling to ever go out of their way to help you out. Thats if they are even there at all as the office is usually closed with no one in it. Even trying to pay rent is a hassle because you have to keep checking back in to see if anyone is in the office. There is a huge roach infestation so no matter how clean you are or what you spray you cant get rid of the bugs. My car was broken into twice. The buildings are old and need a lot of work. They will also try to scam you on your security deposit when you move out. All around shady and sleazy managment. Do yourself a favor and dont live here. 0/5 stars. Worst place ive lived at in wilmington.
