Cypress point is good at price but you will not be getting your security deposit back with the final bill, they charge a 275 cleaning fee as well as other cost, they also charged a $60 dollar fee to sub lease but forgot to take the original name off of the lease which caused all communication with the office to be done through person that no longer was on the lease. When taking the over charged move out cost and waste of $60 to the office, the manger told us the best they could do was a $25 discount and a forced and sarcastic sorry. Don’t waste your time or money and go to a nicer apartment complex that cares about their tenets. There was also water damage on the roof the entire time we lived there and no one came to fix it.
Apartments are over rated. You can find something else at a better cost. Just be diligent in your search. The building is very old and in need of repairs in so many ways. Maintenance dept. tries to keep up with everything but they probably need to expand to twice as many workers. They are good with lip service just to appease you
I just moved to Wilmington, NC after spending my whole life in Colorado. I am a transgender woman. I love my apartment and love everyone that works here. Everyone has been so warm, kind, and compassionate. I was very emotional the first few days, but the people here made me feel so welcome and assured. A very caring mentality... I am home! 🙏🏼💜🌈🏖🥰
I just moved in and honestly, it has been such an upgrade from my previous apartment complex. The staff has been very prompt with communication, friendly, informative. I love my apartment. There is so much storage space which was a huge selling point for me! I also appreciate that they give discounts on application and admin fees for NHRMC employees. Its such a lovely gesture especially during these difficult times.
This is a negative review because overall I had a negative and weird experience at this apartment complex. I’ve lived in many different apartment complexes in different states.. and this one is definitely the weirdest of all. I’ll start out by saying the staff/office people are extremely rude and unprofessional. Maintenance men are weird and very awkward, one day I was in the gym and needed to use the restroom so I decided to just go into the office lobbies restroom since it’s right there, I walked though the back door of the office coming from the pool area, as I step inside, one of the two maintenance men is standing there and just staring at me with this awkward grin, just super awkward!.. and he mumbled something and as I step closer I say “I’m sorry? What did you say?” .. and he chuckles condescendingly and mumbles “you work here?”... and I was like uuhh.. no??.. (like what does that even suppose to mean?) ... apparently I wasn’t suppose to come in through that door... and I was treated like I was suppose to know that! And like I did something wrong, all the woman in the office did was laugh, while the guy was completely rude, as I left he came behind me and aggressively locked the door. Another instance, I received a package in the office where they have a system called “the hub”, where you have to have a code to unlock a locker to get your package ... I had never done it before so I walked in the office and said “I’m looking for the hub”, and one of the women in the office literally mocked me... as in repeated what I said but in a mocking tone and style, like making fun of me. Also, the apartments have a bad roach problem, they will come spray but it does NOTHING, the roaches are still there... both big and small roaches. There’s also lots of pincher bugs as well you will see gliding across the floor. My apartments appliances were outdated and there was so much mold when I first moved in, in the toilet tank, and a ton of mold behind the water heater! A ton of black mold!So there you have it, old appliances, lots of black mold, pests that don’t go away, and very weird and rude staff. Oh and I heard they threaten to sue people for posting negative reviews.
The maintenance staff is very friendly - but we never get ANY heads up about a relative ETA for them, which is inconvenient. The apartment seems to have a low crime rate, which I love (I was robbed twice at my last apartment complex), and the staff is usually pretty helpful and nice. Unfortunately, (this is just my opinion) the rent keep going up wildly every year even though we are fantastic tenants, and nothing has improved in our apartment whatsoever - which I find incredibly unfair, seeing as my mom and I can now barely afford it even though when we first moved in it was pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to move into a new complex or a new apartment within this one, which is stressful and wildly upsetting to us. All in all, its a good place to live if you have massive extra income.
Such a great place to live. Had an awesome experience. Staff is very communicative & always informative on events or updates! Also had such great renovations.
Staff is very understanding and treats residents like they are real people and not trying to take every penny that their residents have. There could be some better communication between residents and staff as far as updated rules and regulations also a designated visitors parking area or giving each resident a stack of visitors passes to use at their disgression to prevent them from having to go into the office each time they need a pass would be beneficial.
The maintenance men are awful, the apartments are okay but it’s unfortunately not worth it for all of the broken appliances that are not being fixed. The oven was broken for several weeks. There is a hole in the bathtub. There are cracks in the ceiling. The water heater is broken. I can go on. They did not respect a simple request for them to wear a mask during COVID, and constantly told us to “just get on the porch” as an option for 4+ hours of “handy work”. This was during the state mandate. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Office people are fine but the maintenance men don’t respect them either so things just don’t get done.
Not sure if my comments went thru so I am trying again. I have a suggestion for opening the gym that might be safe. People who want touse it can sign up and they will be the only person in there. I need exercise and walking is not building my stamina. Otherwise, I love it here
My almost 4 years I lived in Cypress Apt, I enjoyed and felt easy to stay, my leaving was due to the new job opportunities I got. I miss it. Thank you for your patience in all my challenges I went through, keep it up for others as it is your custom.
Chelsea, Leasing Consultant at Cypress Pointe Apartments is professional, courteous and wonderful! On the other hand, the apartments are not the best! Management is trying, but the complex is an old structure and constant repairs are a must, ongoing ordeal. Improvements are occurring but it seems like an never ending story.
Staff has been ignoring me ever since I moved out. I have called them 4 times& left voicemails because my new job-shipt, that I signed up for when I was living at cypress finally sent me a start up package. I would like to start delivering for shipt and Cypress will not answer my calls or voicemails to forward any of my mail/packages to my new address. . maintenance was nice and they do a great job. I did have quite a few issues because the building is old, some mold andAC issues and ceiling caved in from a storm one time. Just an old building. I wasn’t going to leave a review but I am now bc I’m honestly really annoyed that they won’t answer their phone. moved out because price is not worth living there. The staff literally never answered the phone when I called, unlike all the other apts I’ve lived at.
I lived here for 2 years. And I loved it! For 750 sq feet, the price was excellent. I never had any electrical issues and the AC was never out. My friends wanted to move here every time they visited. The pool was readily available and kept clean. The fitness center is decent and 24 hours.
It’s pretty good. It has a nice pool, the staff here are really nice and willing to help you. It’s a good mix of age groups. Not just college kids but people 40+ too. Maintenance could be better though.
This will be my third year living here, the price for a one bedroom is the main reason I’ve decided to stay. My apartment is updated, a perfect size, and in a great location. It’s fairly quiet compared to living along Racine & I never have worried about my safety. No one has ever stolen anything off my porch which is something I wouldn’t typically think of while apartment searching. The new package hub with 24/7 access is the best new feature. Unfortunately with COVID the office & resident amenities have been limited but the upgrade looks really good. I would definitely recommend living here.
Lived here about two years now and about to move. Management can be very slow to move on things, especially appliance repair. Even had a window fall in on me and they outright refused to do anything about it because the hardware was too old. I probably could have sued for that. They also slack on trimming the bushes in front of the building which often overhang the walkways and contain bees. At the end of the day, pretty disappointed. Worth noting that the email correspondence is very...odd. Usually contains spelling and grammar issues and just doesnt have a very professional tone. I personally wouldnt recommend anyone move here unless youre looking for cheaper rent, want to be close to the University, and have a high tolerance for this kind of stuff.Just to be clear, the maintenance guy is very nice and usually does a good job. I feel like most of the issues are the fault of management.
My major problem is that things break and are not fixed in a timely manner. I have lived here for 8 months and at one point had no hot water in my shower for over two weeks. The office never returned my multiple calls and requests for it to be fixed. Several weeks later it started working again so I assumed they came to fix it. Now I am dealing with a broken dishwasher with moldy water backed up through the drain. The request was put in 14 days ago and it has since gotten worse. Someone finally answered my call to the office and I was told.... that it probably won’t be fixed before I move out and there’s nothing they can do to try to get it fixed sooner. Very frustrating as I am moving out soon and need to clean things in order to pack them. 14 days and they haven’t even acknowledged the problem. The living space is nice but their inability to maintain the properties is a very huge annoyance. Expect to have thing break and to just have to deal with it for weeks.
Lived here for a year and wanted to leave the moment i moved in. Had some issues with my toilet since i moved in now a year later after multiple complaints still not fixed. Had to trim our own bushes to get to my front door. Multiple issues with apartment office didn’t seem to care because they are still not fixed. Way over priced for what you get. I recommend spending a little extra at a different apartment complex.
Great location, excellent staff, good amenities, quite, just a nice place to live.
I found the Cyprss Pointe online and rented sight unseen but I love my apartment! The process was easy and the staff in the office was wonderful!
I tried to get some information about the apartments, but the staff was so rude I was just ready to hang up. I was seriously inclining about getting an apartment here, but the staff made me feel as though my phone call was an annoyance. This is not a place I would risk spending the next year at.
DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. I would like to know if anyone else who has moved out recently has also experienced this issue as well. I paid my rent every month, never complained and followed all the rules of the complex. Upon moving out I was given a cleaning list which included patching holes and repainting. If you are familiar with North Carolina tenant laws and normal wear and tear this is not required from a tenant and definitely doesn’t justify keeping a deposit. Also, the lease itself states that upon moving out you follow “cleaning instructions”, not “repair”. My roommate and I followed all the cleaning instructions EXCEPT this one. We scrubbed the bathrooms, oven, microwave, refrigerator, floors, and removed everything we had brought into the apartment. After a month I inquired about my deposit and was told I would not be receiving one because we didn’t patch the nail holes. I should also add that these “nail holes” were less than 5 holes that my roommate had hung pictures in her bedroom with, since I used command strips everywhere else. After arguing for a week with them I requested an itemized bill that they were REQUIRED to send me within 30 days of my moving out anyways. After 2 weeks of requesting multiple times they sent me a ledger that only showed my deposit being used for “repairs”, nothing itemized. I have called every week/emailed and two months later I have still not received it. I will be taking them to small claims court and I would advise that anyone else having this issue recently should look into doing the same. I guess I could give you some pros of Cypress Pointe as well. I moved out in February of 2019 after a year lease and didn’t really have many problems with the complex while living there. The maintenance guys were all more than nice and very helpful with advice and anything that needed to be fixed. The staff at the front office also were very friendly.
Cypress Pointe is a decent place to live but has defiantly deteriorated over the two years I have lived there. The staff attrition rate is through the roof and It is difficult to talk to the same person twice. My A/C unit went out and stayed out for six weeks and I was told they were coming today two or three times a week. The most recent Issue they seem to have is staffing on weekends. I order a lot of packages on amazon and generally have them delivered to the leasing office because they are too big to fit in my mail box. Twice now I have received a note in my mailbox saying there is a package for me at the office, and when I go to the office, I am told that there was no one at the front desk to receive the package. When the hours of operation are from 10-5, I expect there to be someone to be there during those hours. I attempted to use the pool last summer and and it said it was closed. I looked over the gate and saw that the water looked greenish. As a CPO (certified pool operator) I saw multiple issues with the maintenance of the pool. Not to mention once it did open, there was a few people openly passing a joint around with children near by. Parking used to require a decal or visitor pass, now there are some days where I, a paying resident, have troubling finding a spot.
TL;DR Cypress Pointes Staff, Apartments, and Community are awesome. When we first moved into Cypress Pointe, the neighbors below us were a nightmare. By the second or third month, Hayley and Brooks had caught on to our neighbors shenanigans and were more than helpful in dealing with them. The neighbors eventually moved out and every member of the community I interacted with from then on was perfectly pleasant and more than fair. There is ample yard space to let pets out and many of the areas even have wag-bags. The fitness center is well equipped and always clean. The pool and patio area is perfect for a barbecue or just a quick swim. The grounds and facilities are well maintained at all times of the year. The administrators give more than ample warning about upcoming inspections and routine procedures. The maintenance staff are very friendly, professional, and efficient.Brooks was always very accommodating (we had to post-pone our move several times) and easy to talk to, albeit stern on the properties rules. Many times when my wife or myself were locked out he would personally walk over to our building to let us in. He was always available and able to answer any questions or concerns that came up.-R&M
Worst place to live in wilmington!! They raise the prices to make you think its nice but its not. The staff goes back and forth never having a straight answer. The maintenance men are so nice but i do not think they are given the right equipment to do their job. My windows can not be fixed because they are old so ac is constantly being let out because there is no seal to the window. They have roaches EW. my ac is never working and they never want to fix it properly. This is just a few issues ive had with this place. They slap a bandaid on the problem until they cant anymore.Save yourself the trouble and spend your money on better places. SO many apartments are cheaper and nicer in wilmington.
This was a great place to live. The apartment and the complex as a whole were well maintained. The office staff was uniformly competent, friendly and responsive to requests. It was surprisingly quiet considering it was a 10 minute walk from campus. Overall, we spent a really pleasant year there.
The staff is friendly, but this is probably the worst place I have ever lived. There is no community dog park and sand spur plants everywhere. They constantly get stuck in my dogs paws and in my feet when I wear sandals. I went to talk to management about it and they said they were aware but were waiting on landscaping bids to do anything. Meanwhile they just added new amenities to the pool. I would rather have a safe place to walk my dog than a wooden gazebo next to the pool. There is constantly dog poop everywhere, so watch your step. For the residents that do clean up after their dog, the dog waste stations are constantly overflowing and rarely emptied out. They constantly run out of bags at these stations as well. The thing that makes me the most mad, is that they left current residents new special renewal rates with balloons on our doors a while back. But the renewal rate was 37% MORE than we currently pay!! We went to the front office to talk about this increase and they said they were raising it to market rate. Market rate for a one bedroom in Wilmington is $950. They were charging $1050. But they were offering $950 to new leases. This is incredibly DISRESPECTFUL to current residents!! Lately they have been doing lots of repairs, painting, and pressure washing to try and make this place look nice, but do not be fooled. This place is definitely not worth what they raised the prices to. They just want current residents to foot the bill. Honestly, the only redeeming thing about these apartments is their location.
I highly suggest you DO NOT LIVE HERE. Here’s why:FIRST, they THREATENED TO SUE ME FOR DEFAMATION AND SLANDER IF I DID NOT REMOVE EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW I AND ANY OF MY GUESTS HAD WRITTEN. THEN THEY ATTEMPTED TO BRIBE ME BY CLAIMING THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME $200 FOR REMOVING THESE REVIEWS. To avoid being further harassed by them, I removed the review written by myself and asked anyone that had visited my apartment and left a negative review to do the same. I never received the $200 of their bribery. So to avoid any issues this time, I directly state here that everything you have read and will read is 100% true, and not written in an attempt to “defame” or “harm” Cypress Pointe, but to reveal the truth about the living conditions of this apartment complex and my experiences here so that people can make an informed decision about where to live.A list of every problem I had at this apartment:1. Ant hills everywhere outdoors2. The A/C stopped working several times randomly and the unit would pump heat into the apartment even though it was set to “cool.” It once reached 95 degrees in the apartment in the middle of the night. Maintenance did not know how to fix the problem. My electric bill went up3. Cockroaches are abundant in the heat. Once had an entire family of them crawl out of the sink4. The paint they use for the exterior doors bubbles in the sun and looks extremely cheap and hideous.5. They forgot to give me the key to the outdoor storage unit when I first moved in and never told me that there WAS an outdoor storage unit, meaning I was paying for an amenity I never had access to6. The bathtub faucet broke repeatedly and frequently. Each time it broke, the bathtub faucet poured out water and our water bill increased each time7. When the tracks on our windows broke, maintenance informed us that the windows are so old they’re not even made anymore and they can’t order replacement parts. Instead, they removed the tracks and told us if we wanted to open the window we would have to prop it up with a stick or book8. They did not give back my security deposit. Instead, they charged me $150 in random fees plus $100 for carpet cleaning because, and I quote, the carpet appeared to be a high foot traffic area with above normal wear and tear.” Only 2 students lived in this apartment, who worked and rarely had guests9. Maintenance can be extremely slow to complete requests. If you need something done outside of regular maintenance, it can take MONTHS10. Roommate had a leak in her ceiling directly above her bed and in her closet that dripped water on her. It grew a very large amount of mold and it took maintenance months to fix it, damaging the carpet, her bedding, and exposing her to mold spores11. They had a collections company call my roommate and ask her to pay our move out charges, despite us having sent an email and phone call disputing the charge and NEVER HEARING BACK from cypress pointe. So they sent our outstanding charges to a collections agency WITHOUT EVER ADDRESSING AND DOWNRIGHT IGNORING OUR CHARGE DISPUTE.12. IN SEPTEMBER 2018 MY BATHROOM CEILING WAS SO DAMAGED BY THE HURRICANE THAT THERE WAS AN APPROX. 3 FT PATCH OF BLACK/GREEN MOLD GROWING FROM THE CRUMBLING CEILING. I MOVED OUT IN JUNE 2019. THE CEILING WAS NEVER FIXED THAT ENTIRE TIME! FOR 9 MONTHS, I WAS UNABLE TO USE MY BATHROOM. FOR 6 MONTHS I WAS FORCED TO SLEEP ON MY COUCH BECAUSE I WAS SO ILL FROM MOLD EXPOSURE FROM MY ROOM. I HAD TO SPEND MONEY AND TIME ON HOSPITAL VISITS, AN INHALER, AND MEDICINE TO EASE MY COUGHING, WHEEZING LUNGS. I was SO VIOLENTLY ILL, I had to skip several days of classes and work to recover. AFTER 6 MONTHS, I FINALLY GOT THEM TO SPRAY THE CEILING WITH MOLD KILLER. I could sleep in my room again, but the ceiling was never repaired so the mold continued to grow back. In these 9 months, the pool was also closed. Meaning I WAS PAYING FOR A POOL, A BEDROOM, A CLOSET, AND A BATHROOM THAT I COULD NOT USE.I DEEPLY REGRET living at this apartment complex and giving them my money. I urge you not to make the same mistake.
The staff is amazing here. Tom and Courtney especially always look out for us here. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes and never felt like the people care as much as they do here. And maintenance is fast. They really look out here!
My son was in need of a Fall lease only and they approved him quickly in late Spring. I tried and tried to call them, left message after message to with no success. We still had no lease with a few days before move in. Then the day before, they informed my son that his unit wasnt going to be available (after hooking up the utilities).Needless to say, his current apartment complex worked with us and he signed another lease with him.All it would have taken, was someone to answer the phone.
Id give this place a 5 - but my neighbors are rude. I feel the racial tension every time I walk by. The residents here refuse to even give me eye contact. When I say hi I am ignored. They look down and walk away. Ive even heard one of my other neighbors mumble racial slurs as the other white girls laughed at me. My place is amazing, but if the people were a bit less racist and more friendlier - Id have a better experience. Maybe thats just Wilmington? Ive never felt less welcomed by other residents in my entire life.
Good place to live until you move out. dont expect to get your security deposit back. charged to replace carpet on top of security deposit because of pets after they already charge a $250 non-refundable pet fee. much better with old management!
I have lived here for two years. Its affordable and close to campus. The ladies in the office are great. Maintenance guys are quick.
My sister and friend lived in this apartment complex and I visited them several times while they lived here. The pool was closed for 9 months of her 10 month lease for “repairs” so we were never able to go swimming once at the complex. The hurricane caused damages to the apartment back in September 2018, and these damages were not addressed at all until the end of MARCH 2019. All they did was spray mold killer on the large patch of mold in my sister’s bathroom. This was a temporary fix as the mold grew back. By the time they even addressed the mold, my sister had been sleeping on the couch in the living room for months because the mold made her sick. She had to get an inhaler from a doctor because of it. When I visited we had to share the couch because her part of the apartment was unusable. One time during my visit the A/C broke and pumped heat into the apartment in the summer time. The apartment reached 95 degrees. Maintenance is slow to fix problems and often would not fix them correctly. The apartment complex kept my sister’s deposit and charged her for carpet cleaning, even though the hurricane had damaged the carpets enough that they told her they would likely replace the carpets completely. Sounds like they want to save money, blame their residents for their problems, and cut corners. This is not a safe or nice place to live, and I am so glad my sister got out of there. Please consider these things when looking into this complex.
Out of the 30 phone calls Ive tried to contact the office, ZERO are ever answered. Seriously. And if you walk up to the office itself, 4/5 times theyre on a break. Even physical interaction barely gets anything done. Im not sure whats going on with the change in management but the staff... It feels like there is no staff. If you need anything fixed- expect to wait at least a month. They re-paved the parking lot and moved MY car to the opposite side of the complex without any type of prior notice, seriously?!! I had to go to THEM and ask where MY car was. An email, notice on my door... Would have sufficed. But dont take my car without telling me. We put in our notice to vacate yesterday.
My daughter lived in Cypress Pointe apartments her freshman year at UNCW when the dorms were overbooked. We were very uneasy with an 18 year old going straight into an apartment but Cypress Pointe was a seven minute bike to class! The complex was always clean, maintenance was hardly ever needed but they were prompt and efficient the two times we needed them, the office staff is super and always on top of things, and we felt our daughter was very safe at all times - which was our #1 concern!
Just moved in two days ago... they didn’t even mention renovations would be waking up every morning at 8 banging when I work third shift, or that they were even happening for that matter directly in the next room. Called the office and got rudely disconnected and disrespected.
I walk down New Centre almost every day to the cul-de-sac then back up with my dog. Cypress pointe has a high problem with off leash dogs. I’ve crossed several and been able to get away quick enough before the off leash dog noticed us but we don’t always walk away smoothly. One dog has ran up on us twice. And the last time I had recently had surgery in my hand and because of the off leash dog running up on my dog and my dog trying to protect us, my surgery site started bleeding. Now I feel like I can’t even walk down the street without having to be ready to grab my dog in my arms and hope the dog running up on us doesn’t bite me. The grounds are also covered in dog poop. It’s like going to a dog park without the fence. It has dog poop everywhere and several unleashed dogs. Goodluck living here if you also have a dog and abide by the law. If anyone did not know, it’s illegal to have your dog off leash outside of your personal residence in New Hanover County.
After living here a year and a half as a single female I have found many pros and cons. Lets just start though that when I first moved here it was under Bell properties. Granted I have heard horror stories of Bell, the employees here were AMAZING. Then Pinnacle took over within about 6 months and they replaced everyone, and it was horrible. On the flip side now that theyve fired a few people (or they quit?-who knows) The ladies in the office now seem very NICE and on top of things. There are some problems with answering the phone, and returning messages but its getting better. As for roaches, Ive had a few but I just ask the office to send the bug guy out and I make sure I am there when he comes so I can see him spray the entire apartment. The reason for this is because I have an alarm system that tells me when the doors are opened and one time he came in and sprayed my entire apartment in less than 45 seconds. No joke, I showed it to the office because it needed to be addressed. On that note thats not the offices fault, and they seemed genuinely bothered by it and said they would be contacting him and I have had no bug problems since.Anytime I have needed maintenance I just go online and request it and say why, I also put a time frame I would like them to come so my dog is not there alone with them. They have always been very accommodating and come during that time within a day or two.Unfortunately, I have lived here 1.5 years and still dont know any of my neighbors. Everyone seems nice, and keep to themselves. My apartment is quiet for the most part, I can only hear the neighbors music played loudly once in a blue moon and thats only in the bathroom (the bedroom and living room must have great insulation). My two biggest cons though are the lack of lighting at night. I hateeeee bringing in groceries or anything at night because it is so dark. I also really wish there was a dog park or agility course of some sort, every other apartment on the block has one except us. And the fact that they ALLOW SMOKING indoors. The reason this is such a big deal to me is because (A) fire safety and (B) my neighbors smoke and I can smell It clear as day in my bathroom. I have contacted maintenance multiple times but they told me that there is nothing they can do. What makes It worse It that its cigarette and weed fumes that come through the vents (because of this my bathroom vent has been closed for months and the smell still comes through), it makes my apartment smell embarrassingly nasty. Thankfully It seems my neighbors only smoke inside when it is super cold outside and not everyday.Overall I do enjoy living here, I can overlook the cons and hope to be able to resign my lease after graduation because I have never had any safety scares (thank the Lord).I have used the gym a handful of times and it is clean, but very small. I can not say anything about the pool because I have not used it, but it does look very nice. Also parking is never an issue and the grounds seem well maintained. My apartment is clean (aside from occasional smoke smells), quiet, and cozy. I would recommend anyone to live here, especially students who would like to study in the silence of their own home like myself.PS. My dog likes it here to.
Our daughter just completed a two year stay at Cypress Pointe. This was an ideal location for her to attend UNC-W - she was able to walk to class in about 10 minutes. The apt she lived in was great, the staff at Cypress Pointe were excellent. We had just a few minor problems over the two year period. Reporting of these problems were simple (a call or email) and immediate corrective action was taken (even on the weekend!). Ending our stay at Cypress Pointe was just as easy as beginning our stay. We gave notice, cleaned our apt, inspection was completed and deposit processed. I dont know of other apt locations in the Wilmington area but I can say that we were treated nice, professionally and we felt that Haley kept an eye out for our daughter. Thanks Haley and Cypress Pointe. Jerry Waller 6/14/2014
My girlfriend has lived at cypress pointe for about 6 months now and I’ve seen how this place operates. Aside from smaller issues, the major problem she’s had living here resulted from damage caused by Hurricane Florence. The living room ceiling suffered severe water damage due to a leak in the upstairs unit above her’s. From what we were told the upstairs unit was considered an “emergency” and the tenants were allowed to move out. About 2 weeks later, workers came in to cut out the damaged portion of her ceiling, which is a 12’x15’ hole. Management said it would be a couple weeks before blue sky could come renovate, meanwhile they got busy fixing the upstairs unit and had new tenants move in within a month. The hole in her ceiling was cut last september and now it’s February, but nothing has changed since the day they removed the damaged portion. There was a sheet of poly duct taped over the hole in september, now the tape has peeled off and there are dead roaches (big ones) stuck to the tape like zombies. This ought to be enough information to get my point across
Better hope you get the apartment you’re promised. These people are a total scam and I would never reccomend this place to anyone....ever.
Decent while living there but the new staff is extremely unorganized. Brooks is very rude and difficult to work with. I was charged $300 cleaning fee after scrubbing down every inch of the apartment and he only agreed to remove it after looking through pictures maintanence took after move out.
Every time I visit, it is well maintained and the staff is always kind and understanding. Tom always makes sure that maintenance is always called when needed.
Worst apartment experience EVER. When I first moved in it was infested with cockroaches, and management treated me and my roommate very poorly. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
The actual apartment was in ok condition. Thin walls and loud rude neighbors made my stay very unenjoyable. The worst part about my experience were the office staff. They constantly charge you random fees whenever they choose. I was not there for an entire month and was charged a $50 water bill so it was pretty clear they do not charge for actual water use. When confronted they simply make ridiculous excuses. Do not recommend living here. There are plenty of great places in Wilmington that arent trying to just rip you off.
I absolutely loooooooooove Cypress Pointe! Haley, the girl at the front desk, is awesome. Actually everyone in the entire office is great, but particularly Haley. She really is the cherry on top of this great apartment complex, and seems to be the girl that is really the face of the company. Anytime I need any help she is super fast and efficient to help me. Not to mention it gets done within usually a couple of hours. Plus she is the sweetest receptionist/office worker I have ever ran into, I can really tell she loves her job! I am about to leave this wonderful location as I have moved on from UNCW, but I would recommend this spot for everyone, especially UNCW students. Im not really a big partier either, so this place was perfect. Its always quiet and the grounds are super well maintained. Im sad to leave, but happy for any future residents that will have the good fortune of moving in here! THANKS CYPRESS POINTE FOR A GREAT PAST 3 YEARS!!!
Terrible management, save yourself the headaches and don’t move here
Maintenance doesn’t care, office doesn’t care, grills/pool yard left to rot and not kept, car broken into twice, this place is by far one of the worst places I’ve had the displeasure of living
Tom was great and very helpful and professional
They dont answer phones, the automotive message service doesnt allow the interaction its suppose to, how can you get information if you cant talk to anyone.....
I hope the transitions and excuses are over-we are looking for an apt complex for our student and this sounds just as bad as everywhere else after reading these reviews.
I live here and I live it!
