Since Ive moved in, hasnt been one complaint. I really appreciate the patience and friendly environment they greeted me with. They could use a couple more maintenance staff but, can tell they are working very diligently in completing my work orders in a timely fashion. Overall I am content with this property and staff.

The renovation that was completed consists of three things: new carpet, new paint, new appliances.The carpet is the best part. The paint job was a quick-fast rush job. The appliances in my apartment have not been consistently working.Ive reported issues to management numerous times and have to wait weeks before getting a reply - even on issues that I submitted maintenance requests for months ago.The fact that their website is now charging $300 more than when I moved in is a joke.

This is by far the worst place Ive ever moved here traveling through work. Havent been able to sleep one good night while roaches is everywhere crawling down walls inside the tub all over the kitchen. Room has no closet doors toilet had no seat. Save your time and money here.

You get what you pay for, its an ok place to live but dont expect anything fancy. The building is old and so roaches often come in. Their pest control doesnt do anything get some cans of raid and spray it yourself. Also, the walls/floor literally shake when my neighbor stomps around and the management doesnt care. I just have to suffer.The management is generally friendly. If you need something done be prepared to call and ask multiple times for it. The maintenance guys are great but are just spread wayyyy too thin and this greedy management wont hire more.They keep raising the prices without making the apartment any better! Also, they switched to a community water plan so even though I am single I have to pay over $35/mo for water!! Conservice is also trash and charges an extra $6/mo for the service of billing us... what a joke!Also! Even though I carry my own insurance they charge me $11/mo for THEIR insurance. I carry and pay for my insurance, why should I have to pay for theirs! What a load of crock.

Poor management and waste of money tbh

We applied for this place and was approved over a week ago, the location was perfect for us and the facility grounds were clean. Our only issue was the management team. We never got the email for our lease, we waited and waited. Everyday we called and we would be told it was being sent that day or that the girl who has our information wasnt in office. Its really upsetting because we thought this would be a great place to live, now we have to look elsewhere.

Ive been living here for a little over a month now and I have zero complaints! The apartments are spacious and newly renovated. Best of all its a quiet, chill neighborhood!

Just moved in recently and I don’t really have any major complaints. I love the space... and it’s honestly extremely quiet. It’s an older community so of course I didn’t expect everything to be super new. The staff was very helpful and my neighbors are pleasant.

I loved my potential tenant experience at Meridian Place. The staff was very attentive to my needs and was understanding to what I expected in a living environment. Mrs. Stephanie Jackson is great! She was very personable and patient with me. The office was very organized and also timely! Thank you to Mrs. Jackson and the the staff at Meridian Place for all your help. I would recommend this place to my friends.

It has been about a month since I initially reported this incident of the closet door falling (unprovoked) and almost injuring me. I have asked repeatedly that this eyesore as a result of the dilapidated conditions in this unit (omg that’s another post) be removed and nothing has been done. I am 56 years old and have never lived in a worse place in my life. The staff is pleasant but is constantly changing. Maintenance was good while Ross was there but he is gone. Pools have been green multiple times during my residency and a gaping wound (entrance) was not repaired for months. You really needed a four wheeler. Currently, the new manager seems nice but has difficulties keeping her stories straight. Clearly, she is in over her head. Look for her to be released like the last manager was. DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS PLACE. I am 56........been around a long time. I paid my last month even though I had already moved out. Happy to have moved.

I went in today for a tour and I was pleasantly impressed! The property Manager Mrs. Stephanie Jackson and her staff hands down are the best. They’ve made sure that all of my questions and concerns regarding the property were addressed! I’ve recommend Meridian Place to two of my friends already!

To be honest dear readers, our new management team at Meridian place apartments is the beat team so far. I have lived here almost 15 years, but for the last 6 years the turn over has been so erratic and things werent been done in terms of repairs request in my apartment. Suddenly the new management brought in a wonderful friendly staff whom I really feel comfortable talking to.Even though I am an outsider I mean just a tenant I felt this new team has taken care of most if not all the outstanding repair requests.I am so happy because the repair crew are very respectful, Honest and they know the job.

SMP is a terrible property manager. I had a major plumbing backup in my tub from other apartments and it took them 3 weeks (while the backup was stagnate in my tub in the second bathroom) to respond and I was not offered any compensation for the awful experience. I would not advise anyone to move here. If there was anything lower than a one, I would have posted that. Another thing, the pool has been closed for quite a while now do to the property not being maintained....I would have expected the rent to be adjusted down as it is a perk of living here, but price increases were attempted to be passed through for trash service, etc.

New management is very nice and helpful. Looks like they will finally get the new fitness center they have been advertising. Definently seeing improvements.

I have lived at these apartments for five years. The service at Meridian Place is great. Ross and everyone who works in maintenance work very hard and are very pleasant. Stephanie Jackson is the best manger the facility has had and is very approachable and works hard to get tenant issues resolved.

I visited Meridian Place inquiring about an Apartment. I was greeted by an amazing staff. The manager Stephanie Jackson was very nice, organized and so professional. Ive been apartment hunting for a while and this complex has for sure moved to the top of my list . See you soon Meridian Place🤗

Been here over a year. At first, it was nice, then management changed and everything changed. Constant office staff turnover, temps, etc... If you are a tenant, be prepared to never be able to speak to the manager without an appointment at the very least (unless of course you havent signed a lease yet). Maintenance is way overworked. The pools were very disappointing 90% of the summer. The laundry room is horrible, you cannot load your card unless the office is open and finding a washer and dryer that work properly is a challenge. The roads at the entrance have been in disrepair for months and are getting worse. Dangerous to drive on. The Gym that was supposed to be built a LONG time ago is still just fenced in grass. The new laundry room never happened. Ready for the lease to be up so we can move!

Look everywhere else before here. Terrible management. Terrible laundry facilities. Stuff has been stolen out of cars, including my own. Impossible to get anything fixed. My A/C hasnt been working for months. Called, emailed, and went into the office to try and get anywhere. Still broken. Even after placing multiple emergency maintenance requests when the apartment got above 80 degrees

We have lived here for two years and it has been amazing. All of our maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly, though we have had very few. When we first were getting ready to move, we were on a very short deadline. The staff and manager worked with us to get us into an apartment fast. If it wasnt for the fact that I have decided to buy a house, I would be staying here. I have, and will continue to, let my friends know about this place. Ive lived in a few different apartments now, and this is by far the best one.

The property manager Malena is one of the best this place has had in the last 4 years that I have lived there. Since she and the Compass Rock management company started they have taken steps to improve the quality of the complex as a whole and individual units. Maintenance requests are getting answered in a timely fashion and general issues have been resolved. Its a great location with helpful staff and spacious floorplans. Its also a pretty quiet neighborhood good for young professionals or retirees.

I have read all of the reviews, and I started not to visit this property. I am glad I went there to see for myself. The staff was very polite, and knowledgeable. The bubbly leasing lady greeted me, and showed me around the property (NICE SIZE UNIT & FLOORING). We came back to the office, and I spoke with the assistant manager Tensha about the changes that are being made to the property. I will be leasing, and look forward to the contest that they explained to me that are coming up.Bottom line is give them a chance, and maybe you will have the experience I had.*Future Resident*

Dude this place has the worst roads that I dont know how they passed inspections. Their pool looks like it hasnt been touched since it was built and it just smells. Hasnt changed much since I was last here

We liked this place a lot. Its quiet, safe, and in a great location. Not to mention, you cannot beat the space for the price. Maintenance has always taken care of any issues we had promptly. I havent moved out yet, so I cant speak on the move out procedures, but, our deposit was $150, so im not very concerned.

Run run run they dont give a damn their tenants. They change mangement companies every 3 months. They never fix maintenance issues and lie about the issue after its been over a month with the AC not being fixed but still expect you to pay your rent

Pros: Apartments are big. Rent is decent.Cons:The care car center is a hose amongst the random junk in front of the maintenance shed.Online payments come with a $27 fee, even if you pay with electronic check.We are well into spring with warm, sunny weather but the pools are still green and unusable.If they try to tell you theyre adding on a fitness center, ask them when they plan on starting that. Its been an empty, trash filled lot since at least last summer.Maintenance request are mostly ignored (not the maintenance guys fault - they only have one for hundreds of apartments).Good luck speaking to anyone in the office if you work a typical 9-5 Monday through Friday job. Their office hours are so short and they never return voicemails or emails.Check your lease and make sure you know what youre signing. Theyll try to charge you all sorts of fees that are not in your lease.Neighbors in ever part of the complex are extremely loud at all hours every day. They leave trash all over the place and the dumpsters are always piled up with junk.

We very much enjoyed our leasing experience with Mrs. Stephanie Jackson, Courtni, and Kendra. After touring one apartment that was not quite the space we were looking for, the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and really make us feel at home. We just signed our lease today, and very much lol forward to the next year at Meridian Place Apartments. The staff are very organized, and attentive to youre needs. I want to do an update been at meridian place for 3 years and it was horrible. Its the 21st century why r u losing money orders...why r there even money orders 2 pay rent!. Maintenance was lazy.but we are under new management and they try their best to keep it clean and neat. They keep the grass cut and paint. I never have to wait more then a day for maintenance issues. They communicate their wants consistently thru email and I can now pay online. and dont bother u when u r doing whats right.

Do not sign the lease until you have read every part of it. Being inexperienced in this field I signed the lease agreement only having had the guy read us the terms verbally and doing a brief overview. There are tooons of hidden little clauses that screw over the tenants. Before renting we looked at a showroom under the impression that it was our actual apartment. No one said it was a showroom. So we naturally looked for flaws in this said showroom and found none then proceeded to sign the lease only to find that we hadn’t actually looked at the apartment we were signing for. And after reading the lease it states you accept this apartment as is . Which is absurd because we never even saw the real apartment just one similar to it. Now having lived here for three months. We have had many things break and go unfixed by maintenance. Those things including a kitchen light, a leak from the ac return, a broken sink and dishwasher, and a storage unit that we can’t get into and that hasn’t been rekeyed. Now this being said we have gone several times to the leasing office to tell them that these things have been broken and have yet to see a maintenance man. After reading the lease and watching the woman right down our concerns i have found out that you must submit a written and signed list of problems. And also if you are the cause of the damage you will pay for the repairs... this can be used to their advantage because if you believe you have reported the problem but haven’t submitted a written and signed list and this problem causes serious damage the blame falls to you based solely on the fact that you didn’t properly report the problem. And a problem mind you that you believed had been reported. So please do not rent here... they do not care about their tenants well being at all.

I had a maintenance issue and some miscommunication that had me pretty unhappy with living here. As soon as it was brought to Malenas attention, however, she went above and beyond to resolve the problem. I almost felt bad about complaining she was so understanding and generous. I also received an in person apology from the maintenance man. The apartments are big in general and huge for the price. Even the bathrooms are big. Great location, close to everything here in Tallahassee.

Worst apartments place ever! I do NOT recommend anyone to live here. The office members are LAZY, especially the manager work never gets done, if something is wrong with the house theyll fix it months later, this is a new management the one years ago was way better. The manager is ugly with attitude problems, will try to take all your money and do nothing in return. WORST PLACE TO LIVE IN!

I lived here for 15 months and had nothing but issues. Our a/c was not pushing out cold air and wasnt fixed until a year later when my fiance complained and threatened to not pay them for a place that was unlivable. The plumbing in front of the building reaked of sewage and was not fixed until half a year later. I put that in quotes because all they did was put a bag of dirt over it and baking soda so it wouldnt smell. I have moved back to my hometown and still am dealing with them because they said i owed money to the water company. I called the water company to see if this was true and they said I had a balance of zero but to talk to Meridian Place Apartments to go through them to deal with this so I called Meridian Place apartments office and they said I had a balance plus a late fee and if I did not pay within a week they would send it to collections so I sent them a check. A month later the water company emails us and tells me that they are trying to return the money order because i have a zero balance. Now i have a money order that i cant do anything with because its made out to the water company.Ive also been yelled at by one of the assistant managers and our shower was not fixed until I called corporate.On the bright side, people there all share the hate that they have for Meridian Place Apartments so youll find someone to be friends with there.

I am currently a tenant here I advice everyone to run farrrrrr from this place the move in rates and speed is amazing but the staff garbage maintenance dont fix anything my light bill has been $430+ due to wiring in the place the master bathroom reset button on plug shutdown all power which is only meant to reset plug no power in kitchen for 1 1/2 months light in other restroom would not shut off although switch was off missing blinds from beginning and maintenance told me go into other empty apartments and get some me and my children have been bathing in ice cold water 2 months due to constant running water in master bath so there is no hot water which by the way run my water bill up filled out request online only to get error message at end so yes I refuse to pay these scumbags $1000 mth for a 40% working apartment It was ok at beginning space is nice but apartments are GARBAGE their turnover is ridiculous and the new staff they have from July is dumb lazy want money but dont fix anything spend more time grooming other apartments to scam more tenants not to mention ac has been broken for months ready for September and to break this lease RUNNNNNNNNNNNNN the old management Tanisha got things done at least

We have lived here for two weeks. All of our requests for maintenance problems have been 100% resolved including installation of a new air conditioning system (from top to bottom). The maintenance man even came out one night at 10:30 and repaired a plumbing problem. At this point we are quite content, have great neighbors, and are very impressed that we are treated in such a special manner and not just a tenant.The age of our unit is not detectable due to management and maintenance doing their jobs. It is quiet and at our ages, 62 and 60, that means a great deal.In conclusion, if you discuss your issues with management, they will go overboard to correct any problems.Mel and NellKudos Meridian Place!

The staff and management were very professional and prompt with getting me situated into my new apartment. They went over everything in detail and addressed all of my initial concerns. The apartment is huge and you cant find a better deal in town!!

Charge too much for nothing

Been living here almost a year and Ive had a very positive experience. The office staff are very helpful and polite. My apartment is spacious, plenty of parking, maintenace has always been prompt and efficent. If you are looking for a place to live then I would recommend considering this location. Huge apartments, friendly staff, two pools, onsite laundry facility, play ground, overall great location.

These people just bought out 1111 on high and have turned the place into a mess. What I mean is that the management has been very poorly handling the issues that have come with the apartment complex very. There is inconsistency with communication and a lack of responsibility by them. I would not recommend living here for there are many cheaper and better places to live in Tallahassee.Plus, visitor parking sucks.

Still waiting for them to close my water utility account. Havent lived there since January and Im still receiving bills. Water is being used that I am being billed for.

The apartments are spacious and it used to be cheap but there are many problems. The office was not good at caring about people who already have signed a lease. Before signing you are treated really good, after you sign it will take weeks before they respond to any requests and maintenance issues. Some of the neighbors are very loud, you will have a hard time sleeping at night, and worse is that the office refuses to do anything. A neighbor living across us used to casually walk around with a handgun in his hand! I am sure that he was not a neighborhood watch person, since the place does not have that. The laundry rooms are not very clean and you have to use them since the 1 bedrooms dont have any hookups. A few weeks before we left that place they were giving residents $50 gift cards for a 5 star review. So be careful with the many good reviews you might see here or elsewhere.

Worst place to live, theres roaches, flies, wasps, bees all in the apartment, my air conditioning is leaking in my room and in the dining room area, my window has fell in my room, there is mold and mildew in my room. The office staff is really terrible, they never put in my requests for whenever my place is falling apart. My aunt here has pneumonia and the smell of mildew is making her even sicker... just a bad place to live. My upstairs neighbor has a 2 year old and shes not doing a thing about her child, so hes just jumping off of stuff making everything in my apartment shake and fall.. Oh and my bathroom ceiling leaks whenever my neighbor takes a bath

Roach motel of apartment complex that peaked in about 1978 and has not made any efforts whatsoever to restore. Shut this place down already! They do as little as possible here at Meridian and it shows! ... And no, college students arent here, but low income housing is! If you like finding bees nests in your laundry room, garbage floating in your pool and all around deplorable deteriorating infastructure both IN and OUT then Meridian place is for you! Mold, mildew, roaches, outdated EVERYTHING. Do not believe those pictures either, my girlfriend and I did and boy did we get fooled! Dont give these people anymore money, they dont deserve another dime until they start giving a damn about their residents. Whenever there is a problem they do everything they can to assume no responsibility. I had a very important time sensitive package FedExed and management signed off on it, threw it in a closet, and never even bothered to call me! They locked it up in their closet for 4 days and then acted as if it was my fault. UNREAL. Management may have their door open but trust me and the other reviewers on here, no one is home. After they get your name on a one year lease, and your money, the smiles fade and you are treated as nothing more than an inconvenience when you step into that office. I want my money back!

Horrible place to stay they dont tell you about anything but have alot of hidden fees maintenance is horrible the people in office are very unprofessional and they never can answer your questions it looks nice only trust me

Customer service is horrible I am a current resident that is looking for a new place because of the crappy management and work order never get done my sink is literally draining onto the pavement in front of my apartment for over a month there are several unregistered vehicles all parked around the place that makes it hard for the actual tenants to have a spot to park The lights in my apartment Flickr constantly which could mean electrical problems that can result in fire hazards and the list goes on I would not recommend to anyone until they get better management

This is the second time making my an appointment and nobody was there the doors were locked
