Management has NOT stood behind their promise to get the Reserve parking in order. As a parent (who is in the industry) I pay for two of my students RESERVED PARKING - NOT general, yet for over 2 months, my kids have had to park their two care in general, outside, anywhere they can as others are parked in their spots. Management MOVED our previous Reserved spots even when they confirmed they would not, gave to new resident as we have been here since the day Vox opened. I watch daily posts on IG with offerings of free food in lobby, who birthday it is, etc. However, the garage doors have been open for MONTHS, they have not purchased RESERVE PARKING ONLY signs and continue to make excuses. You are charge well enough for RESERVE PARKING to afford signage.
I moved in for the summer, and I love it so much that I renewed for fall! The pool is SO nice, and it feels like I live at a hotel. 10/10 recommend living here. The staff is also super friendly.
My experience at Vox Tallahassee has been awesome! The amenities are great and always well maintained, the study center/clubhouse are great for doing school work and the pool is the best one I have seen in Tallahassee. The gym is awesome and full of new equipment with two stories so everything is very spread out. My unit is great as well, lots of space and a kitchen perfect for me and my roommates. Definitely would live her again if I wasnt graduating this spring!
If I could give this complex 0 stars, I would not hesitate to do so. This complex genuinely has the absolute worst management possible. My boyfriend lived in this apartment for a year, and when he went home for two months, the building had the fire marshals come through to do a check. When they did this check, they left his bedroom door, which had been previously locked up when he left, wide opened and and unlocked. As a result of this, when he returned, he had over $500 missing in brand new kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. When he sought assistance from management on this issue, they were completely unhelpful, even though they were liable for this robbery. As if this wasn’t enough, after he had moved out, he received an email saying he was being charged $275 for ELEVEN bags of trash in his bedroom. His items that he moved out of his apartment did not even fit into 11 trash bags, and any person with common sense would know that it would take MONTHS for that much trash to accumulate, not one singular move-out session. His roomate, who he was randomly assigned by this building, was the obvious culprit, as he was the only one still living there after everybody else had moved out. When my boyfriend called management about this issue, they essentially acted as though he was lying, and dismissed him. When my boyfriend suggested that his roomate put all of this trash into his bedroom after he had moved out, the management said “Well he wasn’t the one moving out. He renewed his lease, so since you were the one moving out, you were the one who gets charged.” At first glance, this sentence seems like a meaningless statement, but as someone with any intelligence at all, it is very apparent that they were favoring the roomate due to the fact that he renewed his lease with them. To sum my statement up, the Vox management, are completely useless and disrespectful, and think that they are above college students, even though it is apparent that I, a 20 year old, have an IQ at least twice as high as theirs. Now that I have touched upon the management issues, the apartment building itself is also extremely filthy, with trash lining the hallways, and an infinitely lingering musty odor. Do not live here. Also, after looking through these reviews, I know for a FACT that multiple of the five star reviews are from people who are employees here. Funny, isn’t it?
This is my first year living at Vox Tallahassee, and it has been my favorite apartment I’ve lived in while in Tallahassee, and it’s not super expensive like all of the places in collegetown! The apartments are brand new, and the kitchens and bathrooms here are the biggest I’ve seen in Tally for student apartments. Amenities here are super nice, the pool feels like a resort, and the clubhouse is one of my favorite places to study! Staff here are super responsive and friendly, and I’ve had all of my maintenance requests completed within a day. We also have a parking garage which is super nice because I can park on the same floor I live on, and I’ve never had any issues finding a spot! I would definitely recommend this apartment to all of my friends!
Me and my roommates have loved living at the Vox. We decided to live here cause it was brand new but we’ve decided to stay because of how everything has gone. We came in as 3 people for the bigger 5x5 and got matched two randoms which have become some of our close friends. I was worried about having random roommates but its been good. Living brand new definitely has its good and bad. We were the first residents to live here so we were discovering small things that needed to be done and the maintenance team is super on their stuff. While there’s plenty of good things about this place, I am happiest about how close it is to Chick FIl A!
Havent even moved in yet, already hate the place :)There are 200 less parking spots than there are residents. No one tells you this when you sign your lease either. Only option is to walk 3/4 of a mile to and from your car. Not safe for those 200 residents, not sustainable for Vox as a business. The definition of GROSS NEGLIGENCE
I got random roommate placement and ended up meeting two amazing girls and I love living with them. Maintenance always comes and fixes any issue pretty fast. Like with any other student living facility there are some bad things but for the most part I enjoy living here. The outside areas, study room, gym, and clubhouse are really nice and great to spend time at. It is also really close to campus which is great for game days!
Just moved here. Place is awesome. Had no nightstand in my room and my water wasnt getting hot. I put in a work order and they literally came to my room within an hour and fixed my water and had my nightstand in tow. Awesome maintenance guys!
Vox is definitely the place to live! The amenities are incredible, including a HUGE pool, a really nice gym, a clubhouse and study rooms which I study in all the time, and more! The rooms are brand new and spacious. I really love living here and have already resigned for next year! Also, Vox gives their resident free stuff all the time, like Chick Fila, Panera bagels during exam weeks, Jimmy Johns, etc. There’s also a coffee machine in the clubhouse which is so amazing to have while I’m studying there! I love living at Vox.
Moved into the Vox in August and I havent had any issues living here. I love all the amenities that are offered here. They have a cleaning staff that comes in everyday and cleans all the amenities and all the hallways in the mornings. Love living in a complex that is brand new. The staff members are super nice and help me out with any questions I have. Maintence is very helpful and fast on their feet whenever I need help in my apartment. Overall love living here I recommend everyone who is living anywhere else to come check out the Vox at least once.
Love living at Vox! I actually resigned for next year. The community is great, and the amenities are sooo nice, especially the pool. The maintenance team is super on top of it, and I have not had any major issues at all! Definitely 10/10 recommend.
Great place to live! I have been happy with all of their help and customer service. Really enjoy this new complex and would most defiantly recommend. Justin the manger is the man and helped me with the parking situation. He also offered me Chick-Fila coupons, so he is a winner.
I moved into a 2/2 apartment complex at Vox on August 1st. Once I moved into the apartment, I knew that the apartment itself wasnt completely finished. Vox gives you this link to fill out if there is anything wrong with your apartment. Maintenance is very on top of the orders that are listed through the resident portal. As a couple weeks went by, there were loads of packing for the outdoor poor and sitting area. There began to be floating chairs in the pool along with swings and couches for relaxing by the fire pit. Vox strives to have a good atmosphere and very clean apartment. I love that they are always doing their best and trying to fix any problems that may come up but in a positive matter. They are still working on improving and makes Vox the overall best apartment. As of right now, there have been some ups and downs with issues on the apartment but that happens with any apartment complex. Since the apartment is new, the staff is very understanding and doing their best to comfort all the students that live there and meet their needs and most of their wants. I believe as time goes on they will have everything exactly the way they want it! I love the two story gym and thats its open 24/7. I love the new coffee maker in the common area. The study rooms are very quiet along with lots of room when studying with friends. Living where I did last year, I love living at a brand new apartment and new place I can call home.
I have loved living at The Vox so far! The amenities are amazing, especially the huge study room that I can always get every assignment done at. The workers are always very responsive and I haven’t had one issue since I moved in.
Vox is a great place to live not only because of the physical amenities, but the people working & living at VOX. I have met a bunch of cool people while living here, but most importantly I feel safe & feel that my needs are met with the on-point persona of both the maintenance team and the front office team. I would recommend vox to anyone looking for an elite collegiate living experience.
The complex is beautiful and the amenities are great! The staff is very friendly and usually very helpful. I’ve had only one bed experience here with the random roommate matching, but ultimately the managers were able to get me into a new unit with great roommates. Overall I love it here.
The staff and maintenance crew are the best ever. They are just a call away whenever you need them and get the problem solved as fast as they can. I love living in a brand new apartment complex with such great amenities. They just added in a 24/7 coffee machine that serves literally the best coffee I have ever had. Saves $5 every morning. Love chilling by the fire pit when its freezing outside and I feel so safe that S3 security roams around our complex everyday 5am-5pm. I really love living here will definitely be here for the next 2 years will at FSU.
UPDATE:I am moving them up a few stars. The parking situation was resolved. My advice is inquire about this when seeking this property out. It would be higher if it had not been for the stressful situation but first impressions is everything.EARLIER POST:I wish I could give them a higher rating because the property is nice and in a decent location. Unfortunately, they engage in deceitful tactics and unsafe practices. As a parent I would have never chosen them had I known what I know now. They issued parking decals and when theose ran out never told future tenants. As a result you must risk being towed and find parking wherever you can, safe or not. I can say that the staff currently there probably had no idea they walked into such a disaster so I would not blame them. I think they want to fix the issue but have no means too. The owner is responsible and has an obligation to resolve this issue. Also when moving in there were 20+ kids in a very small pool. In the covid era that was not a good situation. If you are a parent I would look for a different property.
DO NOT LEASE WITH VOX !!!! I don’t ever write reviews but this complex, its residents and management have pushed me far beyond my limit. They don’t care about the well-being and satisfaction of their residents. They claim they’ve sold out of parking while I see numerous open parking spaces 24/7. They expect their residents to park miles away and pay for transportation back to the apartment complex. Management is terrible! Rather than trying to address resident concerns they’re worried about taking your money for the next lease term. Hallways always smell like trash. Fire alarms go off in the middle of the night at least twice a month. No guest parking. Always towing cars even if you’re a resident. The list goes on and on. I suggest you find another complex who has established themselves and actually knows how to properly manage an apartment complex.
After living in the dorms my first year at FSU I knew that I wanted more freedom to my own space and amenities the school doesnt offer. When looking for apartments, I didnt want a location that was too used, uncared for, and average all at an unreasonable price. What caught my eye? Being the first tenant in the property. Like any catered student housing, it will not always be perfect and I have definitely had my ups and downs with the complex. However, management specifically Justin, is great and truly listens to your concerns. Again, when youre apartment shopping there are a multitude of factors to consider and if parking is one of those factors, keep that in mind here at the Vox. If youre worried about the amenities, staff, and environment, you wont be disappointed!
Parking permits are sold out. I am a resident here. I have gotten multiple parking tickets so far. Good luck on finding parking places. Also, your guest have no place to park around the building. You will have to walk for 15 mins to the commuter parking lot for the free parking. So, hope that your guests car dont get towed. Amenities are very good but I feel like no one takes care of them because amenities do not get cleaned at all.
Very nice place to stay. Justin the property manager is great!
Nice staff, great amenities, good location
I was really excited to move in to a brand new apt on the hope that everything would be working and ready for move in. Well, I was definitely disappointed because not only the appliances were broken and only got repaired on the third week and we still have furniture missing. On top of all of that today they announced they were gonna start towing the residents cars because they didnt consider the amount of residents who need a parking space. Now most of us have to park far away and nothing is being done about it. The way they advertised this place was not what they delivered!!!
I’m so excited to live here! I had some wonderful people help me view my options at the leasing office and answered all my questions, such as Natalie (I think her name is) among others. They never hesitate to answer phone calls and are always ready to help with a great attitude. This is my first apartment and I’m so happy I went with a brand new place such as Vox.
When I signed my lease, I informed them Of having a car and me paying for the parking etc etc, they should’ve let everyone know that once they move in after 3 weeks there would not be enough parking unless other residents dropped their lease and after seeing all the reviews I can only imagine how long the waitlist for the parking decal is and to add on to it, they have 24/7 towing. So in the case we have guest over they can’t even temporarily park their cars during the day. extremely unprofessional, after all these months it’s obvious they were not ready to open up this complex. Also today something happened that really bothered me..(it’s happened once or twice before already but I was home alone today) I woke up and my kitchen light and front door were open, I don’t agree that ANYONE that does not live in this apartment should be coming in without permission...there are so many other things that can be done besides maintenance or whoever walking in like they signed the lease themselves, it’s a total invasion and leaving the front door open..? I sleep with my room door locked in fear of that. Not cool.
Love my unit! Could have a more efficient system for packages/ notifications.
A lot of reviews were written before move in. I wish I could rate this zero stars; talking to residents who were told they would have preferred parking and now have to park in streets adjacent to the complex which are now blocking private driveways, mailboxes, and even stop signs onto major roads. Shame on the owners for not providing nearly enough parking spaces for their residents to where local and city authorities are getting involved to prevent further damages and inconveniences to surrounding properties.
I wanted to share that I had an amazing experience with the team at Vox. I believe that the team they have truly cares about their residents. There was a few minor issues that were quickly resolved by the team. I would highly recommend if you’re moving to Tallahassee.
When I first moved in to Vox I immediately noticed that there was missing furniture and minor damage throughout the apartment. It’s been over a month and we still haven’t received our tv stand and living room chair. The washer/dryer had to be replaced and the new one has issues with it too. My bathroom towel rack was placed about a couple inches above my bathroom counter. When they “fixed” it, they left the holes in the wall. Vox also doesn’t have enough parking for the residents that live here and guest parking is non-existent.
I would for sure recommend this complex to anyone moving to Tallahassee. Any issues I had were resolved immediately by management and they did it in such a friendly and professional manner. I am looking forward to my experience here!
Great employees !, had a minor hiccup moving in and they solved it. They are very professional and efficient. The place is awesome! Great
The Vox is fantastic their staff did a great job in my application process and made student housing super easy. I recommend this apartment for anyone looking for somewhere to live. Also great prices.
So excited to live here next year. The best amenities of all the apartments around town plus a hot tub and indoor AND outdoor gym!! Tons of giveaway for residents and potential residents and theyre super quick and friendly about answering any questions. August 1st cant come soon enough!
Absolute WORST apartment complex! I was one of the lucky few that had a parking spot and it was still a nightmare. I also had many issues with the apartment (broken water heater for 3+ days, standing water in dishwasher, broken washer, unclean on move in, much more) and roommate issues. When I decided to move out, the owners were so unprofessional and wouldnt talk to us at all and charged us $1000+ to get out of my lease. Justin is one of the only few amazing and competent people there and he truly tried to fix stuff but the owners made it hard for him to do so. Not to mention it is extremely loud and people are constantly partying above you and nothing is to be done. Ive even seen people vomit off the balconies. SAVE YOUR MONEY and DO NOT lease here period.
Moved into an apartment missing furniture. It has been over a month since move-in day and we still don’t have our furniture. To top it all off, they don’t have enough space for residents to park which of course means you can’t have guests over without them getting towed (24/7 towing too).
The staff here are AMAZING! The first time I walked in I met with Alexis and we did a tour. She was so sweet and helped me fill out my application and she even spoke to my mother to explain the process and eventually convinced her to finish signing my lease. The location is walking distance to FSU which is very convenient since all of my classes are located on that end of campus. I cannot wait to move in AUGUST 1st!!!!!!
While they haven’t officially opened yet, Vox has been the easiest apartment I’ve worked with in Tallahassee. They were very helpful during the signing process, and they’re always very quick to get back to me when I have any questions. I’m super excited to move in in the fall!
I’m so excited to be living at Vox. The management was so helpful and happy to answer any questions I asked. You can tell they care about their future residents and want only the best for them. I would highly recommend checking them out for a good experience in finding good housing.
Vox is the place to live. It’s brand new meaning you’ll be one of the first people to live in your space. The staff is so nice and answers all the questions you have. The property is beautiful and so close to campus which is a plus. Can’t wait to live here!!
Move in day was a complete mess. Units not in order, keys missing, and when you finally get your key, the apartment you arrive to is full of construction debris and dust, not to mention the makeshift furniture that does not fit together and isn’t meant to be used simultaneously. Very disappointed in my first day at this complex after such high expectations.
One of the most unique and sought out apartments in Tally! Great interior color schemes, and is being built with a very notable contractor. Even more so, the construction has utilized a lot of time in comparison to that of other student living.
Vox is the place to live in Tallahassee! The leasing agents are so nice and helpful. The property is brand new and look beautiful so far! It’s so close to campus and has so many amenities. 5 Stars!
The apartments themselves are really nice however, parking is the absolute worst. They don’t have enough parking for the residents and have ZERO guest parking. People are getting towed all the time and it’s ridiculous. We will not lease there again next year because of the parking situation.
My two roommates and I went for our tour and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Vox is absolutely gorgeous with so many amenities and I can’t wait to move in August 1st and call Vox my home for the next 4 years!
Good hosted event
I signed with vox in October of 2019 for move in 2020. They work for commission so they basically promised us all the glitz and glam. We were promised a balcony and all walk in closets. When we arrived on move in day we were given the wrong room keys and no parking decals even though we all signed up for parking. We then went up to the apartment which did NOT have a balcony. We wanted to be on the fourth floor (which we made clear in October) and we ended up in the 400 units but on the THIRD floor. I did not get a walk in closet or the even same unit design that was on the layout. The place was also either falling apart or not even set up. Our fridge had to be set up and plugged in, there were signs on the shower walls saying they couldn’t be used, and there is paint dripped everywhere throughout the apartment. I went down to tell someone about my situation the same day I moved in and I was told to call the manager. I was then placed on the phone with Matthew. I told him how frustrated I was because I felt like all the reasons I signed a lease here had been taken away from me. He was incredibly rude to me and proceeded to tell me “You don’t sign at a place for a balcony. You don’t sign for a walk in closet. Everything that is listed on the lease has been provided to you.” Treating people (who have been looking forward to moving into your new building for months) so so poorly is incredible to me. I then went back downstairs and told them I wanted to speak to a general manager rather than the leasing manager. Fast forward a few weeks, the maintenance people began letting themselves into our apartment if we didn’t open the door. We have made SEVERAL statements via phone and email that we are extremely uncomfortable with this. When it first began it was just me and one other girl living in the apartment and this was terrifying to us that if we didn’t open they would just enter the apartment. Employees at vox told us to notify them in writing that we didn’t want them entering our building if we do not answer the door. We did this. Last week we put in a maintenance order and there was no way to uncheck the box that said “I give my permission for maintenance to enter if I do not answer the door”. They entered again when we did not answer. We were all either sleeping or in class. Another issue we had was the fact that no parking decals were in our key packets. We saw signs claiming that if we did not have decals on our cars that we would be towed. In a state of confusion, we went down to the leasing office yet again to see why we were never given parking decals. They then accused us of lying. “We triple checked all the bags for parking passes prior to move in day. You were then given specific instructions on how and where to apply the decal in your car.” First of all, we are all adults and we wouldn’t have ALL thrown away the key bags without first checking that it was empty. Secondly, no directions were provided on move in day. They handed me a key packet and I drove up the garage. During this meeting in the leasing office they proceeded to tell us that we all stated we got our parking passes on an online survey. I asked if they could pull this up and a sort of excel document was pulled up where our responses to the question ‘Did you receive your key packet’ were all YES. We did receive the key packet however, as I previously stated we DID NOT receive parking decals. They stated that they would be charging us $30 for new decals. We put in yet another note that we wanted to speak with the GM. We have lived here since August 1st and still, no word from a manager. Do not move in here unless you want to be incredibly disappointed.
Although the construction is still on going, the staff has made already made it feel like home. By keeping us updated on the Instagram page, I feel that they are putting in a ton of effort to make sure things are up and running by Fall. I’m super excited to live here and take advantage of the new amenities, friendly staff, and more!
Residents are going to be towed from their own complex due to the fact that Vox underestimated their parking capacity. This is absurd, and no other complex in Tallahassee has this problem. School is already stressful enough so I really don’t appreciate this added stress. I won’t be recommending this complex to anyone else until this issue is resolved. We need to park our cars.
A brand new apartment complex close to campus. One of the nicest complexes I’ve seen in Tallahassee. So excited to live here in the fall!
Space was awesome.
Vox Tallahassee is amazing! It offers everything a student could want, all while being close to FSU campus. And their staff are super helpful, always there to answer your questions and assist you asap!
Missing amenities outlined in the lease, maintenance issues and it looks nothing like the pictures. Parking is a disaster!
Staff is great and loved the extras! :))
Their team has been so nice and accommodating! They constantly supply updates and interact with future residents! So excited to move in!!
The Vox is a great place to live. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure everything is right.
Vox might be one of the absolute worst apartment complexes in all of Tallahassee. I wish I could give 0 stars. The parking situation is an absolute nightmare and the administrations parking plan is to park 2 miles away and take a bus to the complex. Location is far from ideal and the staff does nothing to resolve issues. Awful
I just want to know where the tanning beds, hot tub, and basketball/volleyball court that is written in our contracts are. parking is terrible!! They did not plan for the amount of residents they knew they would have months ago. Not even enough space for visitors. The pool is also a lot smaller than described and there’s legit 7 chairs out there. Feels like residents are staring at you while you’re trying to tan. So if you like getting your car towed, fighting for parking, and splashing around at a kiddie pool for 5... this place is for you!
THE WORST PLACE EVER. Visiting a friend who lived here, there’s NO visitor parking. I parked my car at 5 and got towed at 5:50. I thought my car was stolen, then I had to pay $110 to get it back. The hallways in the building are dirty and are always smelly. I would never live here in 100000 years.
Vox Tallahassee has been so amazing and helpful. I am stoked to move in !! can’t wait to spend my senior year with my sister and best friend in the most beautiful place ! woo hoo !
Place looks great and can’t wait to live here next Fall with my friends. About to be the best apartment complex in Tallahassee.
Brand new, close to campus, and great amenities
When I went in for my virtual tour with my two friends the staff was extremely nice and helpful to making Vox my future home. I’m so excited to be able to move in on August 1st and call Vox my home for the next 4 years!!!
So excited to have signed a lease with Vox for next fall!! The staff were super helpful throughout the whole process!
I am very excited to live here next year!! The Vox is going to have amazing amenities(:
The location is great, just right next to the stadium which is perfect for fall game days! it is brand new and management has been very kind and helpful!
The Vox is definitely the only place I can see myself living near campus; the quality is amazing, and they have the best customer service out there!
Staff is superb. Social media game is on fleek. Excited to live in the new next year!
The Vox is the best choice for Campus living in Tallahasee !!! They have a very knowledgeable & professional staff that made living arrangements a breeze. As a parent, I high recommend 👍
Can’t wait to live here with my best friends next year! Excited for my own room, the beautiful pool and all the other amenities we’re going to get from living at VOX :)
Easy and friendly experience signing the lease. Love the layout of the complex.
From the second I stepped into their leasing office to the second I left the staff is nothing but friendly and helpful. I was a little sceptic at first if I wanted to live somewhere where it wasn’t built yet and I couldn’t see what it looked like in person but there are very descriptive on what everything would look like and gave me a virtual tour and I couldn’t believe how nice this place was going to turn out. Can’t wait to live there in August!! I highly recommend them as a place to live for any student attending FSU, TCC, or FAMU.
The parking situation is terrible, residence don’t have a guaranteed spot, no guest parking. Pool looks way bigger in the pictures, overall pretty disappointing.
Great people who are always available to answer any questions and guide you through the process!!!! Love it!!
So excited to live here next year!
Great facilities and love the layout of the apartments :)
Great experience!
No parking available for students who pay rent
