We have been looking for an upscale apartment in Tallahassee for three months.., we found CCC and fell in love with it..!!Manager Naomi.., was amazing and very helpful in finalizing a great floor-plan choice and all the details and called us with updates, pics and videos that made it easy to sign on our future beautiful place.Exciting!!

My family and I have really enjoyed staying here. Issues within our apartment are fixed in a timely manner and the front desk personnel are always available to answer any questions or address any concerns. I had the chance to utilize the amenities that were closed due to Covid-19 and I love the variety of machines. I would definitely recommend others to stay here.

I am a current resident and not happy about the changes over the last year. We moved in here the summer of 2018 and really liked the staff, apartment and the amenities. The management was always finding ways to appreciate the tenants (customers). Overall, customer service was good. In the summer of 2019 the pool was closed multiple times due to health code violations. Before the pandemic, some of the gym equipment was broken and not serviced even when a service request was made. Gates are not consistently serviced and break often. Recently, our son purchased a new truck and when he asked the management for a new parking sticker was told to move his parking sticker off of his old car onto the newer one and it would be fine no worries...but it wasnt fine and his old car towed away. Other tenants have said their cars have been towed as well...this is an ongoing issue. Currently there is dog feces in abundance in every area of green grass in the complex. Conscientious pet owners, like me, are incensed with this as we make every effort to clean up after our dogs and are trying to keep them healthy. The landscaping is not as good as it was when we first moved in here and there are drainage issues that seem to be getting worse. We are sad as we initially liked this place a lot and thought we could stay here a while. We pay a lot of money to live here and are not getting our moneys worth for sure. The management seems more interested in recruiting and marketing for new tenants and less interested in taking care of and retaining those already here. I would not recommend moving here right now.

The management at this place is turning into the biggest joke. I’m a resident here and my A/C has been broken for 3 days now, not fixed!! It’s 89 degrees inside. I have been forced to stay at my grandparents house every night due to this.... it’s absolutely unacceptable. They sent over the maintenance man TWICE, who was a pleasant gentleman, but was not able fix the problem at heart. They have casually offered to give me one portable AC unit which will clearly not bring down the temperature of an entire home, with no clear definition of when the actual issue will be resolved. Save yourself the time and do not rent here! You will be treated sub par if any issues arise. The promptness and sense of urgency for your well being is handled very lightly.

Maintenance requests are not handled promptly if you get a response at all.The pool, when it is open, is dirty and the pool deck is full of weeds. The hot tub has sported yellow caution tape for months and the gazebo next to it is missing roof panels.The buildings all need a power wash and in general the whole place needs some attention. I had high hopes for living here but will not be extending my initial lease.Overall the entire experience was just disappointing.

I am confused on some of the bad reviews on here. This place is an awesome place to live. Maintenance gets fixed within the same day as requested (as long as its within work hours). The place is safe, clean, and a good atmosphere. Mail never gets lost, there are rarely any bugs, and workers are friendly. Definitely recommend to others.

The absolute worst management system you could imagine. Do not be fooled by their kind approach, pretty lobby, or when you visit the pool. The pool was closed almost the duration of the summer. There were 10+ times it was closed due to health violations. They would close the pool then open it for the weekend when new potential tenants would be touring the apartments, then closed again. If you were to call about amenities or when stuff would be reopened, no one from the management team knew. As far as maintenance, good luck getting quick and adequate repairs when needed. I used to just call and schedule in addition to the work order. As far as safety, my car was broken into in the parking lot, I did a police report and even told the front office management so they could let other tenants know. They NEVER informed other tenants and the police officer I worked with said there had been multiple break ins there. The street lights in front of multiple buildings were never replaced, so if you had to walk your dog late at night, came home from work late, or had to go to work, good luck in the pitch black. Also, if you have dogs, don’t be fooled by the promised completion of a dog park. They dug up a section, put a fence up, and called it a day. It was a muddy, rooted, unsafe mess. Overall, I advise to live ANYWHERE else but here. It’s over priced and the management is not helpful. There are plenty of beautiful apartment complexes throughout Tallahassee that would be a better deal.

Stay far away from here as possible. They tow their own residents cars and say “oh well” when you complain. Not only that. The towing company cracked my oil pan and guess what. They said oh well too. Also, their gates are ALWAYS broken meaning non residents, criminals, etc can come in as they please. I forgot for 2 hours to put the parking sticker on my car and i come out to see my car has been towed away. These f@&$ say oh well you should’ve known. Don’t... come....here. I’m getting tfooh as soon as my contract is done.

I am a past resident of Victoria Grand apartments, now Century Capital City. I lived here for two years and I had a great experience with the complex and the office staff. I only left to move back into the home I owned. The amenities are great (the hammocks around the pool are what sold me!) I highly recommend this community.

Apartment is open, spacious and beautiful… but honestly, the large walk-in closet is what sold me 100%. Im VERY happy with the decision I made. Courtney was very nice and helpful with all of my questions and the leasing process. Its a great community, filled with great people and also, a feel-good environment. Staff is very good, you have a problem, they will be there for you. Of course Im renewing my lease!

In sooooo many words I will say that this place AKA my new home is AWESOME-AZING. I love the staff, Daina and Naomi. They were extremely helpful with my move from Orlando. This was the first time I have ever moved and the process was very smooth, efficient, and professional. Daina would always answer my calls or Naomi, and if they were unavailable trust me they will get back to you. This is my 1st day here and I felt like it was home last week ! Very beautiful scenery, the community has a great upkeep, amenities are just phenomenal. I cannot wait until everything is safely back normal so that I can physically enjoy all our activities on property. Plus just being honest Daina deserves a hug ! She was just a blessing in all this and I truly thank God for her diligence in getting me here and having everything set up and ready to go for me. I am beyond happy to be apart of this community and hope to create lots of great memories here. Out of 5 I would give this place a 10 just being real. Thanks so much Daina for everything. The apartments here are very well taken care of, comfortable, safe, and very conveniently located. I love using the pool and hot tub area every weekend I can. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is quick to respond. It is definitely the best apartment complex in Tallahassee.

I have just recently moved in and I am disappointed with the staff managing the facility. I have reached out about three different times regarding simple maintenance issues and they go unanswered. The gates remain open 24/7 giving anyone access to the community. the amenities are lovely, however they fall short in importance when you account for all other issues that you have. Century Capital City, or whomever owns that company needs to severely look into these reviews and hopefully take them into account.

Have been a resident for almost 3 years now. Recent improvements are much appreciated and it is a huge plus to have such friendly maintenance staff that greet and treat you like old friends. Recently, our AC was out when we got home for the day so I put in a request. Not even an hour later, maintenance was there after hours and fixed it in one try! Huge thank you to Victoria Grand for their thoroughness.

When it comes to gated living communities, or even the mature student body, Capital City certainly should be considered! The leasing manager there (Raleigh) did a great job of showcasing what the property had to offer in a great affective manner without being pushy and selling it. Truth be told, although the prices may seem high comparable to other rates in town, you will not get the level of quality elsewhere; the place really sells itself!P.s. amenities and community areas are outstanding

I absolutely love living here! Being a young professional, I moved here from the college side of town and I couldnt be more happy. My unit was clean, fresh and any needs I had were immediately met by the office staff. The office staff were super helpful during the whole process. There are a lot of amenities, but Ive only used the pool and gym which have been very clean and pleasant. Im very appreciative of the fact that there arent a lot of people using the amenities that dont live at Victoria Grand which was a problem at my previous apartment complex. If youre looking for an apartment complex thats quiet, gated, has great amenities and a super helpful staff then I would definitely suggest living here.

New ownership killed these apartments. It used to be clean and safe but now the gates are left wide open 24/7 and the facilities have been taken over by people/kids who dont live there. My gfs car (among many) was broken into, the majority of the equipment in the gym doesnt work, and your maintenance requests will go unanswered for weeks at best. Icing on the cake, we moved out months ago and now theyre contacting us trying to charge us $200 for a couple of small nail holes that didnt get painted over.

I wish Google would allow me to give them less than 1 star. Dont be fooled by the outer appearance of the complex. This is not a luxury apartment. My apartment did not have stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, etc. Yet, they charge luxury apartment prices. They only care about money, and will nickel and dime you on everything. I moved in August of 2016 and stayed way too long.I was a really good tenant. I paid my rent on time, and had no complaints about me from other tenants. When I renewed my leases they always raised my rent claiming that they were charging market prices. You would think they would have some kind of loyalty program for renewers, but they dont. Also, if you renew you are supposed to get a free carpet cleaning, but they wont offer it to you unless you ask for it. Thats how low down they are, even though they want you to pay a lot for rent so they can re-allocate those funds to renovating vacant apartments and the office. I guess thats where our exorbitant rent went?As some tenants have pointed out, the gate always has problems. Last year I brought a 2019 corolla. One night when entering the complex the gate sensors did not recognize my car and started closing as I was driving into the complex. The gate scratched the passenger side of my car. When I told the property manager about this and showed her pictures she replied, According to your lease, we are not responsible for damages to your property. Again, given my loyalty to them, I expected a better response than that. You know, customer service and all? I repeat, they do not care about tenants, I strongly advise you to go some where else that does.Finally, they require tenants to give them a 60 day notice to vacate before the end of their lease. My lease ended May 31, 2019. I verbally told them in February of 2019 that I was not renewing my lease. I was clearly adamant about leaving. Instead of providing me with the notice to vacate form at that time, they tried to persuade me to stay. Then, I wrote them an e-mail on April 2, 2019 letting them know I was not renewing my lease. But they did not accept my written communication via e-mail. They claim that I had to submit the notice to vacate form, which they should have given me back in February when I first told them I was leaving. They deducted $$ from my security deposit for days that I wasnt even in the apartment as I moved out on 5/30.Dont walk away from this place, run!! There are better places in town that will take better care of you as a tenant. They wont do better until they have to face real financial consequences.

The manager (White lady with blonde hair & black dude with glasses and bald head) were very rude! We hosted a get together for Memorial Day ..had been out by the pool and grilling area all day, severalDifferent families were in the same area grilling and talking and just having a good time. The 2 ignorant people waited until 9:00 p.m that night as we were packing our things to leave to come out & basically demand that we leave, said we did not have any business there and said terrible things to us ...they were very racist (we are black) and kicked us out of the area. I am and have been resident there and for them to treat us this way was just disrespectful. They spoke to us in the rudest manner and I wouldn’t refer my dog to live here under this management!

VG is one of best apartment you can find in Tallahassee...good community, well maintained, amazing staff and quite place to live. Specially I love the club house. Although every community has some negatives and positives but this one specially has lot of positives, enough to overcome the small negatives.

UPDATE: Tallahassee Police Department and neighborhood police had to be called into the complex last night because management is STILL not doing anything about people coming into the complex and using the facilities. There was a group of about 15 teenagers loitering on the complex grounds because all of the gates to the complex have been completely open for about 2 weeks now. There is nothing stopping these kids from coming into this complex. Many residents have complained and NOTHING is being done. The property manager is completely neglecting their duties. There is supposed to be an amenities monitor.....but that person does not exist. For as much money as resident pay to live in these apartments, there should be professional security, TOWING!!, and we should not have to worry about calling the police multiple times throughout the week. Some of the other residents & I are going to reach out one last time about last nights incident, and if we hear the same We are going to fix it answer, we will be reaching out to corporate.Having issues with essentially all of Tallahassee coming to use the pool, basketball courts, gym, and computer lab. We pay A LOT of money to live here, and nothing is being done to monitor who is coming in and out of this complex. Many of the reviews on Facebook include the same complaints -- Management is not doing anything to make sure that ONLY paying residents are using the amenities. Its insane that so may residents have complained about this and nothing is being done to keep people out.

Century Capital City is notorious for charging extra amount of money from tenants in many ways. One of the common ways they have been using is charging outstanding move-out fee, usually 1200 to 2000 USD. They provide legal reason for charges. For example, they want to replace a carpet, or refurbish part of an apartment, and that money will come from you if you are moving out of that apartment. I personally experienced that and wish to help as many potential tenants as possible to avoid that. So, whats the consequence of refusing paying for what you shouldnt pay? They hire third party debt collection agency to follow up with you. You know how it feels...

Do NOT rent here. I currently live here and honestly one of the worst living experiences of my life. It didnt used to be bad until the new management took over. Not only did they give the place a tacky name, they essentially brought with them the worst service. The place looks nice but dont be fooled. They will try to lure you in with all these amenities but NOTHING WORKS. Which you can clearly see from the gates which always manage to be broken, but like how are you going to advertise for a gated complex with gates that never close? And unless your maintenance request is about the AC (which I understand the need since we live in Florida), it will NOT get fixed. The hallways always smell like trash since the complex doesnt do anything about neighbors who dont properly put trash out for pickup. Nor do they pressure wash the hallways which would kind of make sense to do so since there is always trash laying out. Ive lived here since last August and my toilet has not work properly since. Maintenance has serviced it multiple times but honestly nothing has changed. I have had to spend my own money on several toilet treatments and even that has only helped so much. Over a week ago I put in a maintenance request for our drier. It no longer heats up...which I know isnt an emergency but its now been almost two weeks since our drier has worked and no one has come by to look at it. I dont know about most people, but I tend to need to do laundry pretty weekly to wash work clothes and its kind of difficult to do when the drier isnt working. Overall just a miserable place to live and Im counting down the days till I get to move out.

If you dont want to be charged over 1000 dollars of moving out, then dont live here. I have lived here for 3 years. During my stay of this place, I cant use the gym because the key card didnt work at all. After I moved out last month, I received 1000 dollars charge because of carpet replacement and new paint. I always clean my carpet every day by using IRobot machine and I dont have any pets or children in this house. Plus I didnt paint anything on the wall. I never have any parties in this apartment neither. I dont know how this charge comes from. I think the new management are ripping people off by offering low security deposit and then charge them high fees after move out. The price of the rent and the experience of this apartment complex doesnt fairly match each other. They also charge $30 trash pick-up each month which they say they will pick up your trash every day except Sunday. However, you will only see the guy pick up trash about 3 times a week maximum. Also, this place always have some people who dont live here play in the gym or use the pool and making loud noises.Please dont be fooled by those replies from owners. Since I have received my $1500 move-out claim from the apartment, I sent one email clearly addressed the problem to their contact email address. After no response from the email for a week, I sent another official statement through certified mail service, and the receipt from my mail service indicated that they already received my mail for a week, however, I heard nothing from them. They are replying nice reviews from online because they know people are looking those reviews. But they certainly ignore to solve any problems they have. By the way, did I forgot to mention about their old kitchen appliances and never-worked drier machine. This is certainly just an old apartment inside and claim they are luxury by outside. You can easily rent any this kind of apartment for just $800 in the market.

Went to use the pool today and it was full of rowdy people who told me that they did not live here. They followed someone in through the gate because no one ever kicks them out. Why is management not doing anything about this? Why am I paying for people that dont live here to come and use the pool and gym? I noticed that other reviews on Google have the same complaint...but yet, nothing is being done.

It is not right for those who have lived here for years to be subject to new owners who will not fix anything. ie: gas grills have no propane for bbq, 3 familys shared one grill 08/07/14 and the front security gates have not been close since 05/05/14 allowing others to come in and use the pool, courts and clubhouse because the key cards are not working. What are we paying for? not secured living. I feel like i live in a big community center open to the public.

I went there today at 3:20 pm and stayed there for more than half an hour waiting next to the locked door!! There was a sign on it saying Out on Property Be Back Shortly. After that, a man showed up and talked to from the back of that glass door saying the leasing agent had her lunch break late and will be here within 15 more minutes!!!I decided to just leave!!!!
