First time here coming from the nail metropolis that is Dallas. I loved the experience! They pay attention to detail and for once I wasnt worrying about rough ends or gobs of stray gel. I highly recommend the deluxe pedicure with hot stone. They do a mean foot massage which was wonderful for my snowboard broken legs. Relaxing shop and excellent staff.
4 stars only because the lady was sweet and tried. The manicure just didnt cut it as the edges of my nails arent finished and theyre rough around tips. There are also bubbles and smudge. And it took over an hour. Where I go in Houston is 45 mins + and always exceptional quality. Second below par manicure in Seattle and annoyed. So if anyone reading this has a good recommendation for literally any area of the city let me know!
I had a job interview and realized at the last minute that my nails looked terrible. I arrived with my daughter as the store was opening. Lisa and Van graciously let us wait inside. They asked what we wanted and made helpful suggestions. I told them I had a job interview, they were both sensitive to time and I had beautiful nails in record time. Ill definitely be back.
Mostly writing this so I remember to come back here next time I need a pedi. Quick and neat work - cut, filed, cleaned, polished with a quick foot and calf massage. Thank you!
Came here for a pedicure after work and had a very pleasant experience! And Im pretty particular about my pedis. It was very quiet considering the neighborhood and time of day, and the service was efficient but not rushed. Good massage chairs and a nice big selection of polishes. Ill definitely be back in the future.
Clean establishment, friendly service, good prices. I got a gel manicure and a spa pedicure for $65. I came in without an appointment and did not have to wait.
Terrible !!I never had a terrible experience like that. Shes hurrying like if a train was coming to crash her; not professional at all, talking to her colleagues while doing the nails and dont keep any attentions and she scratched my skin.I asked for gel, supposed to be with decorations but no one give me time to express my envy so i asked for white and they told me to chose the color in the bucket i chose but wasnt white enough and when i told her that she blamed me saying that it was me who chose that color...So disappointing
Im really picky about my French Tip. Ive never been to a nail salon that actually left me satisfied. Im a perfectionist by nature, and had absolutely no complaints after my visit. Best French Tip EVER. I didnt get the girls name who did my nails, but she was the best. She made sure everything looked good, took her time and made sure I was happy. This Is the place Ill go from now on:)
A joke. You will leave infuriated with the service and the work. Also owner abuses her staff. Skip it and thank me later
I was a walkin and was there when the doors opened so no waiting. I just got a gel polish change and honestly was worried about the outcome as she was extremely fast when removing it and I wasnt sure she prepared my nails properly. I have to say though the end result was very nice, no missed bits and my nails are nicely shaped and smooth. I was in and out within 35 minutes!
I tried to like Ocean, I really did. Its close to my work and the salon is nicer than most, but man the manicures lack. I first went two weeks ago and got Chrome nails, which were an extra $10.00. They didnt even last two days before they started chipping. I will always try a place twice before I give up on it, so I went back on Friday and got a regular manicure. The first girl that worked on me filed my nails so they were so jagged and uneven that I had to ask her several times to fix nearly all of my fingernails. She cut three of my fingers when trimming my cuticles, and then when it started bleeding just sat there and told me to wait. Then another girl took over, and because the first girl had messed up the filing so bad, she had to cut my nails extremely short. Then when she was painting my nails, she kept putting nail polish remover on my fingers where the cuts were, as she was mistaking my blood for nail polish. After she did a couple of coats and cured my nails, she started buffing the nail polish off and repainting them. I was there for over an hour and a half. Terrible experience.
The ladies from the salon were pretty nice when I came in, though the one lady who was free was more interested in her phone. The manicure itself was not great. The shapes of my nails are really uneven (one nail way longe than the others) and not what I wanted. The color could cover more of my nails.
I had a wonderful pedicure. All of the ladies are so pleasent and I am extremely happy with the results. Awesome conversation as well. I will definitely be coming back.
I love this place! Its woman run and owned and they always do a great job.
The staff here always do a wonderful job and are really friendly.
It really depends on what service you are going in for. The place is very cute and friendly and it is so close to my office downtown I was excited about the convenience! However, I had made an appointment at a specific time during my lunch hour and they had me wait 15 minutes. What is the point of an appointment if I have to wait? Then I got my acrylic nails filled. I do not like them very long, just a natural look. They did GREAT...except then later I noticed the didnt cover the whole nail in acrylic again just the top grow out so less than 48 hours after i got the fill THREE tips broke off. I was in another state on a trip so I couldnt go back to them for the fix.The price was cheap and on point with other places I go and I think a pedi would be good there but not much well.
Theyre open on Sundays. Helen (who is not there any longer) and Lisa are my go-to manicurists. Professional and quick.
Wonderful service great quality at very reasonable prices especially for the location.
Loved the place. The girls were very careful with my mani and pedi and did an amazing job!
The ladies are great and they do a great job of pampering you!
I work near their location. It was last friday night, I called at 3pm for a 6:00pm appointment. The lady said no problem on the phone. The shop was dirty, with old nails from other people on the floor. I needed my old tips off, too much grow out. The women that was in her 40s was very rude, had me soak both hands on acetone to remove the shellac and the tips. After waiting 20 mins. She came back over to were I sitting, said (your nail is too thick, you need hour of soak more, we close 7pm) (you cant not do pedi today, and you luck if I finish nail)Im paying for a service! I was polite and said okay just do the nails please. She just started speaking in a different language and then would speak English again ( say its not going to work! )She was extremely passive aggressive no customer service skills whatsoever. I work in sales and customer service so I think I would know and I hardly ever get my nails done ever and was treating myself after working a very long week downtown. Woman was rude insensitive, I told her that the drill hurt! (She said you are fine..)l would pull my fingers away multiple times because she drilled too many layers of my nail off! They are red and pink. Then she flicked a piece of acrylic in my eye and I had to run to the sink to wash out my eye!I was terrified that I couldnt remove the acrylic from my eye and finally it came out!It was less than relaxing experience!Eventually after the multiple times of the woman not listening to me that I was in pain ! I decided to leave mid manicure one hand was done and one hand had partial bits of acrylic and shellac still on my hand.I ended up going to a different nail salon to have them fix and save the terrible manicure that I had received from Oceans Nails andSpa! Dont waste your breathe and hard earned money on this business they will not treat you with respect! If I could give it zero Stars I would.
If I could give a negative star review I would. I went last week with a friend after work. My friend had called and made appts for both of us to get gel manicures. Hers and her manicurist were just OK. Mine, however, was hands down the worst mani Ive ever had (and Ive had a lot of manis in 4 different states). The lady rushed through EVERYTHING. I swear the whole removal and then gel mani took about 20 minutes tops. She was anxious to get to another customer who came in after and was obviously a repeat customer. If they couldnt accomodate the appointments my friend made, they shouldve said so. First, she removed the gel I had with a drammel tool which is the worst ever for your nails. Most places remove via acetone wrap. What she did has completely ruined and weakened my nails. Then the actual mani was horrendous, she didnt even touch the cuticles at all, the nail filing was uneven and rough, the nail painting sloppy and half assed. It started chipping the next day. She could not have been more unprofessional. I have no idea why its so hard to get a quality manicure in this town. Just say NO. Do NOT go here.
They were fast, friendly, and wonderful!
Friendly service, pedicure lasts.
Not opened on Sunday as posted... really?
