It wasn’t done as I wanted them to be done. The burgundy color I showed them wasn’t what I got. They don’t speak English well so we couldn’t communicate and it was really overpriced. They took the old ones out and re-made new ones, overall I paid 70$ for something that looked really bad and unprofessional. The dip-powder and matte combination doesn’t look good, even though i told him to fix he just said it is what it is. Definitely not going there again and not recommend. Way too pricey. They said it would cost around 43$ but at the end they just found excuses to charge me more. Smh...it looks like there’s still powder on them. Waste of the beautiful shape...
Justin was not only fast but meticulous and top of his talent. The dip powder selection here is LARGE and the staff do nail art by request. The space itself was cozy in a nice way with a cool breeze. Employees on the whole were very likable (mostly run by Male technicians which I thought was awesome). Near the end of the appt they also do a light amount of back and neck work on the muscles, something I enjoyed very much. I will mention that I had an appointment at 330 but was not serviced until almost 430, the only constructive feedback I would offer is to ask the business to be mindful of peoples time when confirming an appointment. Regardless, the work was done so quickly and well thereafter that I could not be upset. An exceptional place, I will be back.
***For all of my brown skin folk, stay away***I contacted this shop for a full set, upon my arrival. I sit down and they were friendly enough. I showed him a picture of what I wanted (3-tone color blocking w/ gems). As soon as he sees the picture he said “You sure, these expensive”, I was taken aback because of how subjective the matter was…what’s expensive to one, may not be expensive to another. I replied, “uhh…yes…this is what I want”. Normally I don’t bother asking for a price (most techs tell you upfront but…) because I know I like them on the longer side and will usually do some sort of design I will generally be sitting in the $150-$200 range anywhere I’ve gone, even if its more that’s fine as long as I get my nails the way I want. But a red flag was drawn with his previous remark so I asked, how much? He pulls out his phone to make a call, asks if it was my first time there then gets up to talk to whomever is in charge I presume, and returns to says $265. I couldn’t help but chuckle 😂 I said “interesting, but okay…how did you come to that figure?” He looks at me stuck…so I said “what’s the breakdown, a full set costs what? Then the add-ons…how’d you get to $265” he said oh “well it’s more expensive because of the tips…different tips” which mind you wouldn’t have been required based on the length pictures but nevertheless….the tips really take things over the top then? Please!!! I’m perfectly fine with a private business charging whatever they feel their product or service is worth and it’s up to consumers if they’d like to consume. What I’m not okay with is somebody jacking up the price on me arbitrarily. There’s isn’t any reason why phone calls have to be made to determine a price if your pricing is set. They’re gouging SPECIFIC customers. Needless to say when he couldn’t articulate a simple cost breakdown of the services HE told me would be “expensive”, I politely said no thank you and walked out. This was unprofessional at best! But I most certainly peeped the BS.
Was very disappointed. Bumpy unshaped uneven crooked nails. Still picking products off my fingers a day later :(
I love this salon!! Perfect nails every time. Plus there is the cutest little white fluffy dog named Demi that is always dressed in suspenders 😊
This shop is large and clean. The ladies that worked on my nails and feet were exceptional in their work.I have a problem with one of my toes that when handled causes me pain.I explained this to her and OMG she made it her priority NOT to hurt me.This shop ROCKS!!Parking is on the street so go in the Am or later in the PM.You will not be DISAPPOINTED.
Made an appointment, I was on time. After half an hour of waiting another group of people came in and were seated and serviced. My roommate who didn’t make an appointment was seated and serviced. After an hour of waiting I was asked what I wanted. I left, and was told the staff was making fun of me for leaving and being upset about waiting an hour. Very unprofessional. They were over max capacity and sitting people too close together. Not a clean salon
I referred a friend of mine to Shadow Nails. I quickly regretted that decision after she told me about her terrible experience. She asked for french tip acryllics. She showed them this picture (below) and this is what she got instead. Instead of doing the french tip the usual way, the guy put acryllics on that were already white, hence why the white part is so big. Im assuming this was to save time but it is definitely was not what she asked for. When she expressed she wasnt happy with how they were turning out he was EXTREMELY rude and defensive. She also was bleeding in several spots on her fingers. She called me afterwards in tears. I will no longer be going here nor recommending this place to anyone. She said she was sitting at the first chair closest to where you pay.
I went back here today for the first time since nail salons have opened and I felt super safe! I got a shellac pedi and every other chair was occupied to stick with six feet distancing, and every mani station had plexiglass with a small hole for your hands that separated the nail technician and customer. For acrylics, they usually shape your nails with the metal tools, but they had easy to clean plastic tools instead. All nail technicians wore a face mask, gloves, and face shield too. They also make you sign a form saying you haven’t had any COVID symptoms and haven’t left the country, along with taking your temps you’re with a no touch device.
A M A Z I N G!! I was able to get on short notice, and the service was incredible. The stylist was so communicative and understood exactly what I was looking forward, even making a suggestion that I LOVED but had not thought of. If I could give 10 stars I would. I wad so incredibly impressed! SNS dip nails and eyebrow wax.
I went in to get a simple pedicure and manicure, and the pedicure service was great. The manicure not so much.. I got all white so that I could get flowers on my toes and fruit on two of my nails. The manicurist (post white coat, there was a bit of shuffling around throughout the visit) drawing the pineapple messed up a couple times. To take the pressure off, I asked that the second hand have a flower instead. Both ended up smudged after the clear coat, and the center of the flower ran. Sloppy drawings, and the cut on my pinky was from the same manicurist who did the drawing. I was too discouraged to ask for flowers on my toes so I left feeling defeated and paid for the full service. I did see a good amount of people leave proud of their nails, so I recommend getting shellac and acrylic nails if you choose this salon, but not the regular polish with designs. :(
Got a full set with shellac! I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out, even though there’s a few bubbles or the triangle isn’t perfect (he drew it on freestyle). Honestly nothing that truly bothers me. I love how it turned out and the owner is so kind and down to earth. I had a great time today! Thanks for getting me in super quick too!
Super clean and kind, helpful staff
Love this place. Frequently visit. The shop is clean and they are professional.
I haven’t switches nail salons/nail techs in 10 years because I am so particular about how they are done. But, I needed to find a new salon because I moved to the neighborhood. I came in and Justin took off my current acrylics, gave me a new full set (french ombre) and decked them out with crystals. He took his time and paid attention to every detail. He used every technique that I could have asked for. Things like comparing nails to make sure they were the same length, turning my hands around and filing them so the ends were perfectly straight, triple checking the placement of the crystals before curing them with the UV light, etc. AND I was given a glass of champagne and got a massage at the end. The champagne and massage was something my last place didn’t do. All in all, this was an amazing experience and I will be going back regularly! I highly recommend this place.
It was fun getting a pedicure for the first time! I went with my friend. They had fair prices and good people.
Amazing service... With a little massage while your nails are drying.. Loved it..
I went in for a gel color change on my natural nails. Instead of just wrapping my nails with a cotton ball and acetone, they filed my natural nails down so thin to the point that my nail broke. I have naturally thick nails and my nails never break. The men that do your nails here are not gentle at all and are too rough when handling your nails. They always seem like they’re rushing so they try to do things the “fastest” way not the safest way. I would give zero stars if I could. I paid and tipped them anyway for their services however my nail hurt so bad that I called and asked for a refund and they declined. I guess you do get what you pay for. Don’t go to shadow nails.
The staff are so friendly and lovely and talented! I happened to get the technician named Tony and I have never loved my nails more. The photos dont do it justice at all. My nails look like proper tigers eye. He took great care of me on my very rare self-care days. Couldnt be happier. 12/10 I booked my next appointment on the way out.
I went to this place on a Friday afternoon which was really busy there. I waited about 1 hour and 30mins while he finished my nails within 10mins. As the pictures shown, my pinky got cut while he filed my nails. And the lady who applied my nail polish didn’t really put efforts since it’s not even and the parts near my cuticles are not covered, and there is even excessive polish on my finger tip. Also she didn’t even fully cover my nails by topcoat. My friends even thought that I did my nails myself (that’s how bad it looks). This really bothers me so I went there next day and they redid it for me. However, there is no apology for cutting my skin and this very unpleasant service especially when they talk in Vietnamese while others can not understand. I’d say, they could’ve done better, but just don’t go there when it’s so busy because you won’t get a very satisfied experience.
Felt like I was in a pedicure revolving chair. They did a good job and they cranked out the people ... It was summer and they fit us in after the nail salon I had appts with dumped us hopefully when I go back it wont feel that way.
Nails...perfectly done! Customer service...above and beyond. Salon made sure we got what we asked for plus some. (Back massage included with full set nails!!!). Left feeling extremely pampered, cared for and relaxed. I also noticed the effort to acknowledge each client that walked in with a smile.
I always love my nails they are so good here
Wasnt sure what to expect my first time here. It was great! Wonderful foot and calf massage. Wide variety of nail colors. Efficient and clean. Busy place on Greenwood Ave. Ill definitely be back.
BEST SERVICE BEST PRICE
Great nail salon. They do top notch nails and have all the trendiest options available! Justin is fab and they have a sweet dog that helps greet you! :)
Hands down one of the best places Ive had my nails done! Friendly atmosphere, talented staff, For sure will come back for my next fill!
My new home. Got my nails the way i wanted for years. Pics wont load.
They did such a good job on my nails I absolutely love them. The guy who did it was really sweet:) Im definitely going back!
Excellent job. Excellent service. And they speak english better than most. They understood what i wanted with NO argument what so ever.
It was decent. My friends had really great service when we went but the person who did my manicure left gaps, didnt give a very good massage, and cut off so much dead skin that I had a small cut on a finger. If I was rating my lady alone Id give it one star. My friend had one of the guys do her manicure and pedicure and had a wonderful time and wonderful service and I would rate her experience as a five. So averaging it out they get three stars.
Good quality service, friendly staff, open later than most other places
Great service and great prices! Van was very detailed throughout my entire shellac manicure! :)
Excellent! Justin was great, did beautiful work on my nails and was very thorough with the pedicure. Waxed and tinted my eyebrows as well, and never felt like he was rushed to get done with me. Great place!
Shadow Nails is run by a pair of sisters from Vietnam. They are so sweet, and make me feel welcome each time I come in. Their work is great, their prices are reasonable, and they are very eager to please. I have referred several friends here, and everyone seems to like their services. They will learn your name quickly, and call you by it, making you feel special. They make me feel as though my business is appreciated. Its a pleasure to go there, and a little refuge from the world. They work hard and long hours, and take pride in their family business. I highly recommend this salon! Plus Treeni, the hair dresser, is outstanding as well.
They are so nice here. My nails have never looked better and I’m never going to another salon again. The attention to detail is amazing!
My nails look gorgeous. I walked in on a Saturday with no appointment & they were busy and still they took great care of me. Their prices are great and you get a lot.
Theyre always so kind and sweet. I always get my nails and eyebrows done here, and they always do such an amazing job. My boyfriend gets pedicures on occasion, and hes always happy with them. We never go anywhere else.
Nice place but doesnt have a parking space. People r friendly and well trained.
I love going to Shadow Nails the price is right, the people who work there are nice and friendly and I love the little doggy and I will keep going there
Great place to get really inexpensive pedicures. Everyone that works there is super nice.
Despite an appointment I was kept waiting for over an hour. Then my acrylics were painfully torn off and thick oddly shaped nails were slapped on. Never returning!
The ladies at Shadow Nails are always very friendly. This isnt a luxury spa, but they definitely get the basics right. My feet always walk out of the salon looking about 100 times better than they did when I went in. They do a nice job polishing and the paint job on my toes usually grows out before it starts chipping. And the price is very affordable, at $20 a pedi, I can swing regular maintenance on my feet (and thereby preventing them from turning into hooves).
Very friendly. Good job with the service, but did not seem up to sanitary standards. If they just upgraded to the disposable bath liners and demonstrated proper sanitation of instruments, Id bump them up to a 4.
Love Tina! Shes awesome. Ive been going here for years
I did not have a good experience here. They overcharged me and didnt listen to what I told them my friends and I wanted. They are not good at paying attention to details on the nails and can be rude.
Shellac polish chips in one day every single time Ive gone here. Like literally chips big chunks off. Waste of money. Need better products.
I asked the guy to fix one thing, and I waited while he did two other women’s nails, so I went outside to smoke a cigarette and when I came back they were freaking out that I tried to leave without paying when I was standing right outside and my friend was still sitting in the pedicure chair. He was yelling at me and threatened to call the cops on me, then pushed past me to stand in between me and the door, which gave me way to many flashbacks. I didn’t want to let any of them touch me at that point but I let another guy angrily file my nails, and paid and left. I’m not even going to complain about the state of my nails because that would take a whole other paragraph. But the young man that works there, not cool. Neither were the ladies in there egging him on:/
Always great service. One of the best nail shops in North Seattle.
Staff was really nice, but the nails themselves are average. great for the price though.
Great service.
I got my finger nails done here first-to test it out- really enjoyed my first experience so much I came back. Second visit I got a mani pedi and let me tell you my toe nails are so infected and messed up. I have never had this happen before but every toe on my left foot is infect to the point where it hurts to walk. Mani was fine- second mani he cut my nails shorter then I asked for but the paint job was good. But the pedi infected my toe nails. I could tell the nail file was used before on someone else before and they didn’t use clean tools.
Kind staff, relaxing service, but my nails all had bubbles in them on my manicure.
Ladies are so friendly & they always do such a great job! My sisters & I go here often.
Unassuming store front with a surprisingly large space. Friendly staff. Cultural decorations.$20 for a pedicure!!!
Great service with reasonable price.Pedicure for $20 per person.
It is very welcoming place and the sisters do a great job! I love the service and Im always satisfied.
Nice people and quality pedicures!
Amazing customer service and price to get the nails done. They pamper and spoil me.
So nice!
I like going to this place to get my hair and mani pedi done. Trini is very lovely and such a professional. Their price is very reasonable too. The place is clean and bright and somewhat easy street parking on Greenwood Ave.
Always doing a good job
The only place Ill go for my nails and the Greenwood Crown Hill Neighborhood. Ive been going here for a year-and-a-half and never had any problems that werent resolved.
I love this place!!! I will never go anywhere else
I dont like leaving bad reviews but I just want people to know about my experience here and maybe the salon will see the review and maybe theyll try to improve. I went here because this salon had great reviews and is close to me but I didnt have a very pleasant experience with this salon unfortunately so I wouldnt recommend anybody go here and I wont be going back. The salon isnt very clean and their nail work is a little sloppy. I went in for a fill and the lady who did my nails cut one of my fingers during the fill. A few days later the cut was swollen and infected which is just gross thinking about how many peoples hands their tools come in contact with and who knows how clean the tools are so I was a little freaked out and bummed because I went in to get pampered and to relax but that didnt happen. On top of that one of my nails broke a few days later which shouldnt happen considering I had acrylic plus gel polish which is supposed to last at least up to two weeks. I went back for a refund but they would only fix the nail that broke. Kathy the manager fixed my nail but she did a sloppy job with the polish and the nail was crooked. I wish I couldnve had a better experience here that the other reviews seemed to let on, but Ill just have to keep looking for a place that works for me.
Decent nail salon. Was very cold while there.
Nice clean shop with good staff.
Wonderful pedicure at a fabulous price.
They do amazing work!
Always does an amazing job!
