The nail tech made four (4) of my nail bed/cuticles bleed and I left with raw nails. He apologized for “cutting me” but did not offer alcohol nor a discount. I did not want to have an aggressive situation and was too hurt to attempt a resolution so I paid what was requested and left. I was alone in a salon with 4 men so I remained quiet. They were so focused on whether or not I worked... where I worked which I answered no questions yet turned them around for them to answer (“them” because two technicians had to do a simple technique I requested from the first when I asked did he know how - apparently not but lied instead) This will be the first and last visit here.

For a punk like me Tina is always careful and gentle 😊 my favorite nail spot in Richmond. Even when busy they set realistic expectations and allow you to put down your name and return. Pro nails even though one of the top for designs doesnt match in tranquility and great service.

I came in with a friend (whos been a long time customer) and got the dip. When I say this place is amazing, ITS AN UNDERSTAMENT! I have gone to a different salon, and they jacked up my nails. I moved out this direction about a year ago and have come here maybe 4 or 5 times. Customer service and quality are always on point. I had Megan for the first time today and she was absolutely incredible! She was very accommodating and pleasant, even gave me some color recommendations when I was struggling to find the right one. I was charged $100 for tips and gel polishing on my cousin’s nails and 2 tips and gel polish. I did not get what I wanted what so ever I expressed what I wanted and told her the shaping was not right but because they’re my nails there wasn’t much she could do to correct it after I asked her to do tips on all of my nails. Bad service and I brought my little cousin with me as a gift and she heard them use the n word, I’m so disgusted. When I explained that my cousin was not an adult she walked off like what I was saying was not important. I expected to pay over 100 but i also wanted a manicure and 2 whole full sets not just a full set and full in.

Loyal customer for life! I have been coming to Nail Trends for well over 10 years. Very friendly and professional. The quality of work is fantastic. The owners take pride in making sure the salon is remodeled and updated every few years. Its modern and super clean. Every precaution is taken for safety and sterilization. The prices are very competitive and the work is always exceptional in quality and timeliness. They offer a loyalty program as well. The option of wine and beer is only the icing on the cake (during none-pandemic times...)

I go here every 2 weeks because its important to take care of yourself. At first I was a little hesitant being a black man going to a nail shop, but Im comfortable now. Every time I go I feel relaxed and I doze off while in the massage chair. Its a relaxed atmosphere and I definently enjoy it. And as a bonus I like that they dont force conversation like they know when I want to talk and when I just want to be. I recommend.

Worst place that I ever went . The lady that she doing the brow too damaged my nails . Too painful. She cut all y fingers and made my own nails so thin!!! And the nail she made is super ugly. First and last time to go to this place!!!!

I have been a customer here for over eight years. I was told about Nail Trends from a girl in the office. I now travel across town every other week because I won’t let anyone else do my nails nor touch my eyebrows! They are spotlessly clean, professional, courteous, caring and I’m always complemented on my nails. The customers are treated like family.

I made an appointment and when I got there it was apparent that they did not want to do my nails once I sat down. I asked the technician if they had any gel that was similar to her nails because I liked the color. She argued with me until I complied and got dip powder. She rushed through the process and was very rough with my hands and fingers. Two days later I broke a nail so I decided to call to get the one nail fixed because I figured that since I got them done there I knew they would have the same color. The man who answered was very rude and seemed irritated that I had asked for my nail to be fixed. I did not enjoy my experience here and will not be recommending it to anyone else.

I asked him for a simple colored french nail design (which there is pictures of on his instagram) and 1) messed up the shape and made them way to pointy 2) made them point upward??? how do you even do that??? 3) when i showed him the design i wanted, took my phone and started searching through my apps so i could follow him on instagram 4) asked if everything looked ok AFTER he did 5) vaping before doing my nails IN FRONT OF EVERYONE 6) had an appointment at 5:30 and didn’t get sat down until 6:20...DO NOT GO HERE

Nails are super thick! Charge what they want got my husband to call to see how much a spa pedicure was the highest one was $60 some dollars but they have been charging us $80 a piece you might as well say $76. Bad business!

Took my 2 young daughters and 1 friend for a birthday treat for my youngest! I got a pedi and they also got pedi and nails 💅! Our of 4 places I called, they were the best priced and when we were there they were super nice, clean, and sanitized more than they already do!

I tried this nail salon based off of a friends fb recommendation. I started with Tina and have stuck with her since day 1. I love her meticulous work, Im always satisfied!Its a very nice salon and customers tend to get taken care of in a timely manner. A couple of hangups... the fact that they dont always provide you with the full array of gel colors they have when asked. Its one particular sample book that is their go-to when asked to see their gel colors, and unless you request to see the rest of their options, youll be left to only choose from that book. My other hangup would be that although they display options of wine available to drink, they never ask the customers if theyd like something to drink, not even water. It would be nice to get offered a drink while waiting or getting my services done. If I could only take away a half of a star, I would, instead of a full star, because overall I really like Nail Tends.

I had a long, luxurious deluxe pedicure at Nail Trends, but it cost me much more than I am used to paying for a more pampered pedicure. They did a great job on my nails and did not rush, which I appreciated. The staff was fairly friendly and the environment was clean. My reasons for a 4 rather than 5 star rating is because of what they charge (even the most standard pedicure is $30 there), and because there was nothing that came with the pedicure like other places that offer a nice beverage.

I love this place! The salon is always very clean and well organized. The staff is all very nice.Look for Hanna if you visit, she is a hard worker and she goes over the top to please you. The way she does the designs is amazing, the designs always look very good. My daughter and I go here all the time, and we both love it a lot.

They’re incredibly rude and money-oriented. I was a customer her for over 4 years, and the quality and staff has gone down tremendously. Nail salons are supposed to be nice, relaxing trips— you will not get that here. The staff doesn’t care about their customers, just the money they put in their pockets. Fair— we all have to make a living but good grief! They could act professionally and pretend to be charismatic. Do not recommend.

This nail shop is absolutely amazing ! I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve received dip services and pedicure services. The pedicures are outstanding. Ben gives a really good pedicure, he gets ingrown toenails, gets all dead skin and he polishes great. Tam also is a wonderful nail tech. He does great dip 😁 oh and the best part is the wine, amazing experience .

I never write reviews but this place is a gem. I just had the best pedicure I have ever had by Rose, and I must admit, I’m a very particular person and know exactly what I want. She wasn’t afraid to really get in there and gave me the best massage on my legs and feet. They were closing 45 minutes after I arrived but still squeezed in a manicure during my pedicure and my nails look fantastic as well. They listened to what I wanted and didn’t just go through the motions. I highly recommend. Wonderful experience. Will definitely return next time I am in Richmond. Thank you guys :)

My mom and I wanted to try a new nail salon and I came across Nail Trends thru Google search. Nail Trends had good reviews on google and we are all about reviews. Well...although the service was fast the quality is not good. The guy that did my moms nail got stuff all under her nails and did a horrible job at filing her nails. The lady who did my nails seem to be irritated with me for taking so long to pick out my nail color because they did not give me a chance to look when I came in. She ate my cuticles up with the nippers so my fingers were sore, swollen and bleeding after a while and now my skin is peeling around my fingers. We will not return unfortunately, the location is perfect, but to quality is terrible. Beautiful on the inside but we both felt rushed.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I had to get a whole new set and the lady who did my nails looked like she didn’t know how to do it. I asked for coffin nails and I wanted them long...she left them really short and the shape isn’t even coffin. Typically with coffin shape, you’re supposed to cut the nails first before applying the acrylic. She applied the acrylic first and THEN decided to clip it. Please make it make sense because I’m not understanding. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE work! And to top it off, the place reeked of cigarettes. I will never come back nor will I ever recommend this place

My first time coming here was so great; i think Ive found my new nail salon. I came for for a basic fill in because the other place i was going wasnt making me happy anymore. Anyways, the place is gorgeous and very clean inside. I ended up paying more for a gel fill in and design because i was so impressed with the customer service and cleanliness. The lady who did my nails (i cant remember her name but it started with a L) she was great. Its been a month and my nails look pretty as when I got them done. I will be going back to the same lady... very satisfied :)

This is by far my favorite nail salon in RVA. There prices are very competitive. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance of this location is another one of the things i love about it. From the soothing blue ceiling lights in the pedicure area to the manicure bar it all leaves you feeling like you just left the spa instead of the nail salon.

I called this place 15mins before closing to see if they’d take me and they did. I was a little nervous about going to this place after reading the reviews on yelp but I must say I was pleased with the service that I received. the atmosphere was nice, everyone was friendly, and there was a modern set up. they used the bar as the drying area and offered A variety of wines to choose from. Billy did my nail and for some I’m sure had a long day and stayed after for me he did an awesome job. I also got my eyebrows done and they came out perfect. My full gel set was $40 n brows were $9 total lying $49 with no hidden fees like most nail spas. I would have got my eyelashes done as well but I didn’t want to hold anybody else up so I will be going back needless to say and I hope that the people reading the reviews give this spot a chance because they are a larger nail salon and have a variety of services to give.

This was the best nail experience Ive encountered. I initially scheduled an appointment, but was running late because I got lost. I had a appointment at 5:30pm it took 10 minutes for someone to come to me and tell me they needed a few more minutes. I expect to be in the chair on time. That’s the whole point of making an appointment.

I can only comment on the fact that the staff are courteous and professional. The facility seems very clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I only went there to simply have some artificial nails removed from another nail salon. If I decide to get my nails actually done I would not hesitate to try them out!

I recently moved to the area and needed a new nail salon after 12 years of loyalty to previous salon. I stumbled upon nail trends because its very close to home. I was greeted and seated immediately and had my pedi done by Ben. I got the upgrade which included everything from a sugar scrub to a mask..well worth every penny. I also got my nails done (not by Ben) and they turned out nice. My only complaint would be that they dont offer liquid gel which is something that I live by due to my hands constantly being in water.

I don’t know where to begin.We called Saturday to figure out if they could see me today. They asked when would I get there.. I told them 6:30 and she said if I could come by at 7. I didn’t think anything about it but I did tell her I’ll just swing by and see since I wasn’t too far away. I came in at 6:15 sat down they seated me in pretty quick. The manager was the one who did my nails. She was rushing.. She asked me was I the one who called, I said yes. I asked her what time did they close & She said 7.. my husband told her she told me to come in at 7 and she changed the subject asking if I wanted my eyebrows done. It wasn’t bad at first and I had nail polish on my nails so she used the drill tool.. it hurt so bad my husband asked her if they had nail polish removal.. she said yes but still used the tool on my natural nail. I noticed she didn’t clip my nails at all and I asked her if she was going to clip them she said since I wanted them longer no..so she didn’t clip them. I was getting acrylic? So I was confused. I hate that you can see my nails underneath it. I asked if she was going to push back my cuticles and she said yes but never did it.. nails look ok but underneath them I see my nails and my nails have a roughness to it it gets caught in everything. (Posted pics) after leaving at 7:20 I had told her sorry about coming in close to closing I didn’t realize they closed soon (because she told me come in at 7) she didn’t say anything at all. Nails are already growing out and I got them done yesterday.Sadly I was hoping to write a great review because I noticed the high ratings. I looked on yelp and they weren’t as great as google. Oh well.Ps: She spoke very well English.

I love love love everyone there. They are so talented and definitely know how to make their customers feel special. I always leave there satisfied with the appearance of my nails.

Straight to the point...these people are only polite and courteous if you are spending a nice chunk of money. My mom came in for a 15.00 fill with regular polish (no gel because she is allergic and they were made aware of that from the beginning). The technician while my mom was washing her hands told the other technicians near her to look at the ticket/receipt and they all looked as if they were in disbelief and disappointed because it was such a small priced transaction. Well little do they know I caught wind of what they did and that cancelled the 40.00 dip powder set that I was going to get. To make matters even more uncomfortable, while we waited at the front for the polish to dry, they all kept talking amongst themselves and laughing while looking over at us. I will not be returning. They have too much competition around this area to tolerate this.

The worst!! Took my boyfriend here today for his birthday for a pedicure. Decided to get one too since I was there. Over priced for minimum work. They spent 15 mins on me and boyfriend and we walked out pay $61 for basic pedicures!! Not to mention they charge extra to remove gel polish from toes!! The lady that did my boyfriend feet scrub the bottom of his feet raw. She cut the side of his foot with the pumice. My guy just cut and filed my toe nails. Literally nothing else was done to my toe nails! We was rushed. Did not like how they made us feel the whole time we was there. I will never spend money here again!!!

I was really trying to give no stars but this is by far the worst place Ive ever been to in my life. They did a rushed job trying to soak off my nails and do a regular manicure. There was a conversation going on and I felt like it was definitely about me. I could tell the whole time the guy was rushing on my nails just so that he could leave. My experience was so bad and uncomfortable I was crying in my car and not to mention the girls in there are also rude. Because of this experience I will never get my nails done again unless I do it myself. And there is still acrylic left on my nails and the guy who did my manicure cut my actual skin. I was already having a bad day and coming to this nail shop just made it worse.

I did not get the nail technicians name who started my service, but she was rude from the get go. I approached the counter and told her I wanted a manicure and she walked away. I stood there wondering where she was going to tell me where to sit; however, she motioned from a distance to come sit here. She should have told me to follow her instead. She was cold and interjected some fake elevator questions as to appear somewhat friendly. She did a very poor job on my nails and was not detailed at all! I bought in a glitter color that was supposed to have a crudded finish; but it turned out bland and unfinished. She asked if I wanted to pay midservice to avoid my nails from being messed up from digging in my purse, like who even does that? My nails were not dried by the hot air machine that I would typically have done in 2 rounds at other nail salons; rather a cold air machine that barely blew air. This lady really made me irate amongst other things that I do not have the energy to type. The worst part after doing my last coat, she asked me to pick my bag up while my nails were still wet to sit under the dryer that barely blew air. I was so mad and ready to get out of there that I didnt ask for another coat or a refund. I added 2 more coats when I got in my car. I should have never tried this place for the first time and should have stuck to the higher priced salon in Innsbrook, never again!!!!!!!!!
