Highly recommend this apartment complex!! I have lived and looked at many apartments and this one truly feels like a home and not just an apartment. The office staff is very friendly and made the application process simple and easy. Ann helped me through the application and move in process and was really helpful and welcoming. I was extremely surprised at how quick the maintenance guys took care of my (small) issue when it came up. Quick as in immediately! Past apartments have taken days and sometimes over a week to address issues and I was blown away with how fast they resolved it and most of all how friendly they were :) Again, Laurel Springs is the place to be if you want an apartment that feels like home!!
I recently inquired about leasing an apartment at this location and was immediately turned off when I saw that the property lacked the desire to keep the grounds clean. Trash and debris appeared to have not been picked up and not to mention the pet poop area was overflowing. Although Im glad to see that pet owners are cleaning up after their pets, it is disheartening that the management staff would be comfortable with this. Definitely NOT what youd expect from any property, especially not for the price point that they are asking........(Im only giving one star because this review requires it in order to submit)
This review is solely on my experience with office staff. I have not lived in this apartment complex.Ann in the leasing office was wonderful! She sent me lots of pictures of the apartment I was originally interested in leasing. She also checked up on me after a while to ask if I needed any help with the application process. Lovely experience.
When I first toured this place in August of 2019, I loved it. There was a gas stove and fire place with a book case, but at the time the apartment was completely out of budget. So, I moved elsewhere, then in March of 2020, there was one apartment opened in May and I signed my lease. Living in this apartment has been a rollercoaster. Good & Bad, but the Good defiantly outweighs the bad here. I have encounter the outside bugs in my apartment on numerous occasions, but the quick response from management & office staff and our friendly pest control guy is great! I have had a few maintenance concerns that have been addressed (Not as quickly as I like). My neighbors from the other building are not as courtesy when it comes to parking, but the office staff and management has addressed it & will continue to address it!I am disappointed that it is almost July and the pool is still not open and there isnt any propane for the grill.Paul is GREAT !!!!!!Big appointment for great price, cant find it anywhere in Raleigh. Location is even better !!!
Been living here since November 2019. Its a nice quiet complex. Everyone in the office has been wonderful, Paul is great, awesome to talk with. Read some of the reviews havent witness any issues. Maintenance is great as well, any time I have a problem theyre quick to come fix it. I think most people have to understand that this is an older apartment so of course it does have the normal problems, but honestly you cant beat the price and plus you get a sunroom!!
Jessica may be the reason I choose to move to this location. She was knowledgeable about the location and made the experience fun. She worked with situation and has been very accommodating. So a month later Im in my new apartment. Initially what sold me on the place was the size and the fact that they were going to up grade. Well about 10 days before I was scheduled to move, I was advised that the contract fell through and I wasnt going to get any upgrades. I was crushed and started looking for other properties. Jessica once again, called and said, give her a chance to see if she can get everything done before my move date. She got everything she said would be done, completed. And she is still working to make sure I am satisfied. I glad I chose thus property and hope this is just a sign of what is to come in this property. If youve gotten this far understand, that these apartments are older but have a lot of potential if you want space to breath. I am happy!
This is a great place to live. My experience with Ann and the other staff is wonderful. Any issue I have is resolved immediately. At times, Ann Will even respond to emails after hours even though they are not emergencies. With the maintenance staff, I have had the pleasure of seeing Victor and Carlos and they are so friendly and ready to fix anything. That being said, my maintenance issues are small. The thermostat in my oven went bad and they fixed it the very next day. I have read the other reviews and they mentioned a leaky roof and bugs. Pest control happens on a regular basis and if you have issues, they will come every single Friday if you just ask for it. I think the bug issue are the palmetto bugs outside. If one happens to get in, you will find it dead as they do not live inside. If you would like to get brand new construction that looks like a generic salt and pepper box with no landscaping at all and only small trees so you will not see anything for 30 years, do not move here. It is a beautiful, wooded landscape that feels like a wonderful established home. Maintenance happens everywhere. Buy a house and eventually, something will happen. This is a nice quiet community with wonderful office and maintenance staff who are always Upgrading and providing the most exceptional customer service ever.
Toured the community and I was so impressed with everyone. Even the maintenance man said hi as he went by. This place is at the top of my list if I move.
Overall they are a good complex and act quickly on what we needed to be done. The only things I disliked was, them taking away the playground (what was left) and making a dog park. I didnt care for having high light bills because the units were messing up after I told the office that(person no longer here). I also dislike maintenance at times. They have a habit of temporary fixing things until it has to be actually replaced. However, the office is never rude or unkind and we have been here for going on 3 years.
Great place to live! Ive been living here for quite a while now a bit around 8-10 years. the management and maintenance are always helpful. I used to forget my key all the time and they would always let me borrow the spare! everyone is friendly and the staff is so helpful. Theyre all great.
I recently toured this apartment complex. it is a little older but to me that adds a little bit of character to it. The inside of the apartments are renovated and very spacious. The front desk workers ALL need RAISES they are amazing. just speaking to them in the office SOLD me on this place. i ended up not going with this apartment because i found one much closer to work. but i would recommend this place to family or friends.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet Jessica at the front office, and she is amazing at what she does!!! She’s one of the reasons I’ll be moving in beside the fact that the community is quiet and welcoming. Thanks for helping me find my new home Jessica
Dont move here. I lived right up the street before and I didnt have the issues I have now. I see a bug everyday.. water bugs, random unidentifiable bugs, my floor floods, when it rains, there are leaks. The exterminator sprays by the front door and says the bugs might make it in, but they wont go far. I seriously dont want them in. Ive lived deep in the woods before and I have never had these issues. Ive read the lease and not even death can get you out of the lease. Not even death. Its been the most horrible rental experience Ive ever had. I cant wait until my lease is up. Im out of here. If I could give it negative stars, I would. On a good note, the front desk staff is really nice and we finally got new mailboxes.. that have doors that close. Trust me, its a big deal... only time Ive ever experienced such pitiful mailboxes so I was happy about that. Just dont do it. Dont move here.
Been living here since June 2018. Good-sized apartments for the price. Friendly staff and excellent maintenance crew. Quiet neighborhood. Option for frequent pest control visits.
We are moving to Laurel Springs in May from Florida. Jessica was AMAZING in helping us to get our apartment easily. She made the process super smooth, especially when having to make arrangements remotely. She sent pictures of our apartment and provided all the information we needed to make this move.
Jessica showed me two floor plans over the weekend. She is energetic and very willing to go the extra mile for people. The property seems nice. And the location is great.
I would recommend Jessica...love her personality, very friendly and will make you feel at home. she was warm and inviting. .you the bomb girrrrrrl cant wait to move in.
I did a review 2yrs ago and obviously it has been ignored because the issues that I addressed 2 yrs ago are still happening. I will say the ONLY thing that has changed is you now get notifications when you have a package in the office, so thank you for at least addressing one of my concerns. I am still very unsatisfied with the grounds not being kept up. When Ron was the maintenance man, I saw him EVERY morning out picking up throughout the neighborhood. Now, the containers for the poop bags overflow, the bin by the mailboxes overflows, theres trash in the parking lots, on sidewalks and it just REALLY brings down the integrity of the neighborhood. Those containers should NOT be left unattended on a Friday to sit like that all weekend. That is DISGUSTING!!Management has changed a few times since I have been here, however, I would like to give kudos to Jessica. She is the most pleasant one in the office. Shes very knowledgeable and always eager to help out if she can. There is a new guy in the office and hes very friendly also and I appreciate those 2, but they all need to collaborate and get on the maintenance team!!Post from 2yrs ago: The communication from the management team to the tenants is horrible. They dont inform you if you have a package in the office, why not? The maintenance team doesnt keep the grounds clean, tenants are allowed to tie their LARGE, INTIMIDATING dogs up outside and dont clean up after them and they dont do any resident socials to appreciate the residents!
Jessica helped us out a lot! I was hesitant to move here but she was definitely the selling point in this decision! I feel like I can trust my experience here because I know Jessica will make sure of it!!!!
Living here has beenthe best decision I have made, Carlos is very responsive and good at what he does as well as the office stuff, very recommend property to live
My brother and I have been living at Laurel Springs for over 8 years. We have no intention to leave any time soon. We have a large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. We enjoy great service from the friendly folks in the office and on the maintenance staff. As soon as we report any issue, it is acted on within 24 hours. As far as the previous reviews complaining about cars being towed, the office only tows derelict cars that have been left sitting and are expired on their registration. If other residents dont want their car towed they should keep up their own responsibilities. This complex is excellent.
The location is good, the staff has alwasy been helpful, and they keep adding upgrades.
Jessica is the best. Very friendly and knowledgable, A++. Paul, not so good. Didnt seem interested in helping us.
Very friendly and helpful leasing agent. Jessica is great at her job and make you really feel like this is a place youd want to live.
Friendly staff. Maintenance issues resolved quickly. Safe neighborhood, no late night issues. Apartment size is nice size. Grounds decent. No trash or anything. Wish theyd do some new landscaping but grounds are kept well. Dog park is nice. Friendly neighbors. Nice extras in apartment.kitchen and bathroom little out dated but nice. Walk in closets.Honestly I looked at 5 other places all within a very close to Laurel springs and the staff wasnt as friendly or catered to my needs like Laurel springs. They were able to get me in quickly. Ive lived with them for about 4 months now with no issues. Only complaint I really have is I have to walk a 1/4 mile to greenway at Shelly lake... so nothing Madison can do about that. They dont have a gym but the price most apartment places charge for a gym its better just to pay 1/4 of that for my own gym membership. Also washer and dryer come with my unit was nice and a fire place. Check me out like I said better than the other 4 places close by.
Jessica and Paul were incredibly helpful, and their application process is painless & expedient!
Dont move here! Bugs. Constant ceiling leaks during rains. They give creepy 3rd party contractors master keys, walking into your apartment without escorts (By accident?, yea right?) without notices and without so much as knocking to announce themselves, just walked right in like he lived there and almost got seriously hurt. I had a burglary last year, where there were no signs of forced entry or break in(wonder how many master keys they are missing?).The outside contractors leave trash in the bushes and streets after their work days. I still have soda cans and water bottles in front of my window today on 9/13/19 after they finished some work back in mid September. Water heaters are overdue for replacement and inspection.Moved into my apartment first day city of Raleigh had to come out and red tape it because of possible monoxide leaking (This is bad, very bad!). They even have sandbags to deal with the always present danger of the bottom apartments flooding, Drive by and take a look!
The staff lies to the customers! Worse customer service and attitude to tenants. They promise things they wont do or give. This is the worse experience ever! Please, dont rent here even if is your last option!!!
Lived there for far too long. (5yrs) The old management company was great, but 3yrs ago things changed and this new staff is horrible. They have the worst customer service and attitudes that Ive ever seen. The pool stays filthy with mold and is hardly ever open during the hot months. If you have a maintenance issue, you might as well forget about it. No fitness center. The property has gone downhill fast. I had to get out of dodge!!
Today I had the opportunity to meet Jessica in the front office. Thank you so much for your warm, professional welcome Jessica!
WARNING - BLACK MOLD and FLOODINGI lived here several years ago and left a review after moving out, which has mysteriously disappeared, so I’m leaving another one because I don’t want anyone to experience what I did.Upon move in, we had no hot water. It took an entire week for them to fix it.A few months later they decided to do exterior renovations and replace the roofs. I found 12 roofing nails left on the gravel walkway into our apartment after I stepped on one and it went straight through my flip flop and into my foot. Our across the hall neighbor warned us that the apartments had flooded 4 times in the 5 years he and the previous tenant of our apartment had been living there, and to look carefully for black mold. We thought he was a little nuts because he was irate and left the apartment without paying a few months rent. Then, after about 6 months in the apartment I opened up a kitchen cabinet I hadn’t been using at all and discovered massive amounts of mold that had grown so out of control it covered an oven mitt that was left in the cabinet as well as the entire interior of the cabinet. I also noticed about 85% of the kitchen floor was discolored gray due to mold growing underneath the linoleum. We immediately reported it, and maintenance promptly discovered more mold. Maintenance spent 2 minutes in our apartment and immediately asked us if we’d be willing to be put up in a hotel while they remediate and we said “YES!” We then met with the manager and she agreed, but several hours later upon speaking with her boss said that they couldn’t put us up in a hotel but could move us to another apartment on site free of charge. We agreed. She then told us they didn’t have any available units, but could move us to their sister property 3 min down the road. Those apartments were not appealing, and significantly more expensive than what we were currently paying. They declined to give us a credit on rent due to the extenuating circumstances. Then they offered to move us into their only available unit at laurel springs. It was the unit directly above ours, and the source of the ACTIVE water leak that was causing the mold. They told us they would have to take a jack hammer to the kitchen in that unit in order to fix the leak. They actually wanted to move us into an apartment that DEFINITELY had mold growing in it and no kitchen to use. I was outraged... you want us to live in a MOLDY, LEAKY, CONSTRUCTION SITE, with NO KITCHEN????We decided on the remaining option of being let out of our lease. We moved within 2 days to another complex in Raleigh. While we were moving, we learned that the building across from ours also had water damage. There were sand bags placed out front of the ground floor, and the ceiling in one unit had a leak and was also vacant due to repairs and remediation. The manager literally cried when we decided to get out of our lease because she felt so horrible for the way the higher ups treated us, but she had no control over it. This experience was by far the worst living experience I’ve ever had (and my current apartment has had people try to break in)! I wish I still had the pictures of the mold. I posted them with my original review but that has been deleted along with the pics. This place is unsafe, and the Pegasus company has a HORRIBLE reputation in the realty community.. obviously for good reason. I’ve spoken to a lot of maintenance and management personnel who refuse to work for that company due to their unethical practices.DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, LIVE HERE.
Cannot WAIT to move out of this place! When I first signed my lease I was so happy because the apartment was a nice size and I had a nice sunny view of forest from my sun room. Little did I know that I was going to have to share my apartment with roaches! Im talking roaches so big you can throw a saddle on them and ride them around. Lets not forget the fact that my very first night I found dead roaches in my refrigerator! Yuck! And the kicker .. you get charged monthly for pest control for bugs that arent yours! The ac unit is ancient, the water heaters take FOREVER to heat up, the water pressure is non existant, management constantly changes and has no idea what the people before them were promising or doing, creepy men hanging around the pool when the kids are trying to swim bothering them and asking them for money, busted mailboxes that are hanging off the wall so bad all you have to do is yank on it and you can get into all of the mailboxes, the smell of dog urine and feces everywhere, and now they are towing peoples cars! You would think they would realize if you take someones car they cant get to work. If they cant get to work they lose their job, if they lose their job THEY CANT PAY THEIR RENT! Nope. They dont care..at all. I dont like giving negative reviews but damn.. they really need to do better. Totally not worth the amount of money they want. Oh yeah and they raise your rent after a year. Nope. Im out. They can keep the roaches and snakes!
Very poor customer service. Wont return phone calls and weve been by twice in the past 6 months. Each time they dont have any thing to show.
I usually dont believe in leaving reviews but I have to admit, Laurel Springs is totally worth it. They dont have all the bells and whistles that a lot of new complexes have, but theyve got a great swimming pool & convenient mail center, play ground & grilling area. The ladies in the office are always nice & the maint. guys are always super helpful. I remember when I first moved in, my washer/dryer was leaking and I was the only one home. The office told me that their techs couldnt do anything since it was my own due to liability issues, but a tech still came out and pulled it out to re-secure the attachments. Super awesome! He also helped me move some very heavy boxes around too! The maint. staff is always quick & really friendly, and they make sure that they get things right the first time. (They also coordinate with you on pets, which is awesome!) Its an older complex but the square footage is AMAZING. It feels like youre in a house, and the neighbors are pretty great too. They say hi and wave at you when youre coming in and out of the building, parking lot, etc.And dont forget the location- youre minutes away from North Hills, Six Forks, and Brier Creek/Downtown Raleigh. It only takes me 15 minutes to get all 4 places and even more.Over all, 10/10. Between the office & maint. techs, the office, and the superb location- you really cant beat it.
I have been here going on two years. I hate my patio and the view. For some reason in front of only my apartment is some sort of ugly weed ground cover that draw bugs and snakes to my patio which is always covered in birdseed thanks to the woman above me. Not the best view. Also the ac does not work in my bedroom and when I sent a work order I was told that it never has and I could hire my own repairman. The pool did not open till almost july and was closed at least two days each week.
The front office staff were so friendly and helpful with my questions.
Roaches, overpriced with hidden fees you dont find out about until you sign, poor communications, they will tow your vehicle, very dishonest, long maintenance waits, black mold stuff in the toilet no matter how much bleach you use, no water pressure on top floor, the smell of dog urine and feces everytime you go outside, raised rent with no amenities, tree branches all over your car, flooded walkways everytime it rains, big copperheads, people break into your vehicle.
Dropped off a Uber or picked up a Uber passenger.
Great I love the atmosphere and the community
Property Manager is very Rude and unprofessional.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Very lazy staff.
Very expensive.
