Sad to be leaving this community soon! I’ve loved living here for two years now and I was pleasantly surprised at all of the support we received during the pandemic. The apartment is beautiful and the staff is super nice. Only leaving because we want to begin renting a house. I can honestly say out of the 5 complexes my partner and I have lived in around NC for the past 8 years, this has been my favorite.

The staff and especially management are very pleasant and go above and beyond in keeping the community active and informed with any and everything. The amenities are perfect and well maintained. No problems or issues with neighbors. So I can say I’ve pretty pleased with living here so far.

Camden Asbury Village has been my home for 5 years. It is a great location in the triangle. It is a couple of minutes from the highway (Interstate 40), less than 10 minutes form Crabtree Valley mall, 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from downtown Raleigh. It is just a central remarkable location to everything. The 2 bedroom that I live in is very massive. The staff here is great. Although rent is rising everywhere, the rates are fair and average for a high end apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and very pet friendly. I am pleased and honored to call Camden Asbury my home.

I just moved in on Saturday. Everyone has been so nice and mostly accommodating. The move in process was smooth and Ashley was a great help as well as Nathan. The neighbors I have met have been great and welcoming. If you can please ask to see the apartment you’re looking at BEFORE signing your lease. I did not and although their website advertises a built in desk in ALL floor plans, my apartment does NOT have one so I had to scramble to buy one before work on Monday. Also, my washer and dryer is not full sized and when I asked for a full sized washer and dryer they refused because the apartment I moved into is an ADA apartment so now instead of them storing and providing a full size washer and dryer it appears I will now need to purchase a storage unit and store and purchase my own full size washer and dryer to use until I move. A tentative 3 stars.

We lived in Camden Asbury Village for a short 5 months but the complex was amazing! The facility itself is AMAZING and very clean. We constantly used the pool, dog park, and fitness center. They were well kept, they look beautiful, and were just a walk away. If I needed anything from the office, they were very responsive and very helpful! The location is great and very close to 40 which makes it very easy and quick to get anywhere. Of course, the affordable price of the apartment also made it more appealing. I would recommend this complex to anyone!

I’ve lived here for almost a year and I have really enjoyed it. The price seemed a little steep at first, but I have found to be worth the extra $ given my experience compared to other apartment complexes. I’ve had only small and few maintenance requests to put in, and when I have they are usually calling me the next day to service or at least within a couple days! I’m on the top floor and it has been absolutely pest-free inside my apartment, which I am thrilled about. Internet and cable have worked great for me as well. The fitness area was exactly what I needed and always kept clean. As a bonus, they had a gift wrapping station around the holidays, which came in perfectly when I had run out and was running late to an event!During my lease, they implemented a parking policy with permits. While I liked how it was before more, I have a deep appreciation that they listened to majority of the community who had been asking for a policy, so I respect their decision.I’ve always had great interactions with Ashley and Chris at the office. They are enthusiastic, welcoming, and attentive towards any concerns. Would absolutely recommend this apt complex!

Awful place to live. Very rude staff, they never listen to you and have very high and racist attitude as soon as they figure you’re not local. They just rip off people. Despite giving them written notice about my last day of move out so many days ago, they extended lease with ridiculous amount and ridiculous cleaning fee. They don’t care about customer satisfaction, all they do is rip off you. There are way better and affordable apartments. Avoid this place. I was especially dissatisfied with the service of David! So happy finally leaving this crazy place, even though I ended up paying double rent in these difficult days.

One time they saw my tile strip loose and went ahead to fix it. They never care about my dog . The dog knows them so well now they welcome them with open paws . I needed my carpet replaced after 2 years and Brandon saw to it within a few days and it was done. I was so happy. This team is always positive about what they’re doing and so wanting to please. Frustrating place to live at many times—parking has continually been an issue for the year and a half that I’ve lived here. As in there will often be literally no place to park except handicapped spaces or on the curb. Management is aware of the issue and decided the solution was to exacerbate the problem by introducing a paid reserved parking space option, further reducing parking space availability for tenants.....so just know that if you’re looking at renting here. Also, living here during COVID has been an issue. Most people are now working from home full time. Management frequently has maintenance done on apartment buildings (drilling, power washing, other LOUD practices) that are super disruptive and they don’t give you any advance notice.Along the lines of full-time working from home, the internet that you’re forced to use is not great, also leading to lots of disruptions when working from home (or doing other normal things like streaming TV or playing video games)Final issue: apartments may look nice and “luxury”, but quality is actually not good. Our countertop literally broke in half when we dropped a plastic cutting board on it, and now we have to pay upwards of $600 to replace it. We notified management of this issue back in January, and they have yet to replace it (because of COVID, apparently). Doesn’t feel great to pay “luxury” level rent for low-quality living.Honestly relieved and excited to be moving out of here this week! Even though we’re paying some astronomical fees to break our lease early 🙃

This place just email bombed me after I had looked at an apartment LAST YEAR. I had asked for a better rate at the time, and they said no; so I walked away. After signing a lease elsewhere they sent me a revised quote; and I told the leasing agent that if he had just sent that offer to me initially I probably wouldve signed a lease there. One year later theyre throwing another high quote at me thinking that that will win me over?*A single email wouldve sufficed for that inquiry then. Not 10 emails from 3 separate people...

Emails were always answered in the same day and phone calls returned in the same day. They knew how to make a guy feel special lol. The maintenance team is so amazing, they even call after they complete the work to see if you have any further questions or concerns. Shout out to Brandon on the maintenance team. The staff is wonderful, they are always organizing activities to make residents feel like kings/queens. I would like to highlight that Jessie is such an amazing person, always exceeds our expectations, I just dont understand how a human being can refer to her using those words, especially now that she is expecting her baby. It is just unacceptable!!! Jessie was the one when we got stuck in the snow and couldnt go back to our apartment went to check on our cat and fed her, who does that? Someone that cares. The best complex I have lived in to date for a few reasons. 1) Staff--Trista in particular but also the maintenance staff were always warm, helpful, and quick to respond. 2) Parking--Ive never had an issue parking very close to my unit, which has been an issue at other facilities. 3) Grounds/Cleanliness/Pest Control--no issues! 4) Unit construction--Ive lived in brand new luxury units where I had to hear every sound from every neighbor. This is the quietest unit Ive ever lived in. 5) Security--complex is well lit on a quiet side-street and 24 hour security hotline was very responsive the one time I had to call. 6) Updates/Age--It is a little older than some of the complexes in town, but most of the units have been renovated recently and we valued the fully grown trees and landscaping. 7) Pet friendly!--there is a popular dog park and the complex is also large enough that you dont have to leave to go on a long walk, which I value.

Short, sweet, and to the point. Most all Camden complex are known for being a good place to live, however I feel the Camden Asbury location goes well above and beyond. Of the seven or eight apartment complexes I have lived, Camden Asbury Village takes the Stanley Cup. Their office staff is very professional, always going out of their way to assist in paperwork headaches, and a down to earth team even after the lease is signed and stamped by the Legal Gods. The team on the ground keeping the apartments in shape is always friendly, courteous, and good for a solid chat while they’re deducing how Chewbacca got inside the refrigerator. After three years of living in the community, they have left me with the solid impression I have nothing to worry about if they need to preform work inside the apartment when I am away. The grounds them self are maintained well, clean, and safe. Most importantly, the neighbors are chill, friendly, and maintain the southern feel of having a conversation with a random stranger.

My husband and I have lived at Camden for 4 years now. We enjoyed the amenities, the spacious layout of the apartments, and the location. Our rent went up between $100-200 per month every year. We moved to a one bedroom apartment across the complex to afford to stay here, and our experience in that area was not as good. Packages were consistently misdelivered and not returned by fellow neighbors. Dog poop is frequently not picked up around the buildings by the dog park. Parking was cramped and hard to find after 5pm, and the company’s solution to this problem was to start charging for a few regular parking spaces per building. The staff works hard and is always friendly, which we appreciate and will miss when we leave!

I started living at Camden when I first moved to Raleigh in a sublease until I figured out Raleigh I ended up staying there for another 15 month lease because I loved it. The location is great and the people that work there are amazing! I work from home so it was nice to be able to take a break and go to the office and be treated like family instead of just a random person. From the maintenance guys to the people behind the guest everyone was always smiling. One time I forgot to pay my rent on time and I freaked out about it. I went to the office convinced something bad was going to happen but Elizabeth welcomed me into her office with a smile and told me that everything was alright. I would just have to pay a late fee because I missed it but calmed me down and it really helped ease my mind. I felt so comfortable there with not just the residents but also the people that are in the office that even though I moved away, I still try to pop by and say hello whenever I can. Honestly, I dont think I could recommend a better apartment complex in Raleigh.

Its a nice enough place to live, but a word of warning - Dont let them overcharge you!We needed a short term lease while our home was being built. Really only needed 6 months, but we decided to take their minimum 7 just so we could be right up the road from work, and we figured it would give us some cushion if construction was delayed. The issue is that they wanted the lease to end about 10 days AFTER the 7 month mark. The leasing agent claimed that it was because they have standard dates that they end leases. I wasnt willing to accept that answer as it was going to cost me several hundred dollars in rent on an apartment that I was not going to be living in at the time. I took it to the community manager who again said there was nothing they could do as the company would not allow it. Still not willing to accept being overcharged, I called the camden area headquarters. The person I talked to there was very nice and said that it should not be a problem to change the lease end date, but she would need the area manager to approve it. The next day, the lease date was changed to the date I desired. Easy as could be - once I got to the right person.

I was reasonable in my expectations, treated fairly throughout my time there, and always received prompt responses to my inquiries. The apartments are well furnished, but tend to be poorly insulated. We were happy with our first lease at Camden. Maintenance was prompt and polite and we never had issues with management. Our lease renewal came and our monthly rent shot up $200. They had added a mandatory internet and cable bundle which was more expensive than our internet package. After speaking with a leasing agent, he assured us that the rate was the most competitive in the area and it couldn’t be lowered. Well, we ate the cost and signed because we really enjoyed living at Camden. Going on our third year here and we received our most recent renewal rate. We are going to have to move as they raised our rent another $200 a month. I have not seen any improvements to our area or our apartment that would warrent that rent increase.

Camden have made it look nice from the outside and market it as a upscale property but dont get fooled by it. This is the worst apartment Ive ever lived at. A week in, I found out that there was mold growing under the sink and and roaches crawling around. When I mentioned it to the management they said they sent maintenance to fix it but I did not see any changes. Every time I open the sink door the mold spreads all over the apartment and I can barely breathe. Also, one of the guys at the management mentioned that the roaches were there because of the cold, which Ive never heard before. My neighbors were also upset about the rusty condition of the pipes and roaches everywhere. Theres a lot of mold and insect related issues here, which the management hides and tricks the renters. Ive heard numerous people complain about the roach problems as well. I want to move out of this place as soon as I can but they have a hefty penalty for early termination as well. So youre trapped if you move in. I DONT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO LIVE IN THIS PLACE!!

Ive lived in Camden Asbury village for over three years and cant say enough good things about them! The office staff is wonderful and always so willing to help out with anything. They are constantly hosting fun events for residents and making the community feel like one big family. Apart from the staff, the apartments are amazing on their own! The living rooms, kitchens, and closets are all huge. I love the oversized tubs and crazy amont of counter space! The smallest one bedroom has more useable space than any other place Ive lived. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Ive lived at Camden Asbury for three years, and I absolutely love it. I figured its time to write a review...Well-maintained community, and it doesnt get more convenient than being within a mile of Route 40. The commute to RTP is usually a breeze, as long as youre on your way by 8:00 AM or shortly before. The management and staff are very responsive to resident suggestions and have provided several upgrades while Ive been here, such as the addition of a dog park, upgrades to the grilling areas, and a lot of new/replacement equipment in the fitness center. As to be expected, Ive had minor maintenance issues in the three years Ive lived here, and I dont recall it ever taking longer than a day to have them resolved.Ive lived in several apartment communities in Raleigh over the past 7 years, and this has been the greatest experience by far. Also, rental prices have been going up in the area for a while, but I think the rent at Camden is still very reasonable for the experience you get. Highly recommended!

I have been an Employee at Asbury Village Since March and a Resident Since October. This is by far my best work/living experience I have had; from the floorplans with garden tubs, balconys, and open kitchens with islands available to the quick/efficient service provided by our maintanence staff!

Overpriced and rude office staff. The bathrooms are decent and the apartments are a nice size however they come standard with the cheap ugly beige carpet. The kitchen looks nice however the counters are glued together particle board covered in plastic sheets and the appliances are super sensitive, the metal will bend if you look at it.I do not recommend unless you like overpaying for cheap living. The neighbors are loud and go unchecked. The office staff is rude and careless. They lost a package of mine for a YEAR. Yes my aunt had sent me a birthday present, a food basket... I went to the office several times asking if they had my package and they always said they didnt have it. A year later, I go in to drop off my rent and I am handed this big box... the package I had been looking for for almost a year! The package was a perishable food basket and at this point was no good. I asked them what happened and they were amused by telling me they didnt know. So not only did they lose my package, they smiled in my face after doing so.This place is made for college kids living on someone elses dime, not for working adults.

Update: this is still a well-maintained place to live in a well-located and reasonably priced area, but the new office staff (there was a large turnover about two years ago) leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service from office staff is no longer the priority it once was. David is still wonderful and always polite, as are the maintenace staff. Also: if you want to live here and are not superglued to your phone, be warned that smart locks have been installed with little notice to and no consultation with residents, and front office staff will not be very polite or accommodating if you prefer the (possible, but not easily accessible) door code option.Previous review: Ive been living here for just about two years now, and its been a fantastic experience! I really have nothing new to add to the woodpile in terms of bang for your buck, maintenance of grounds, convenience of location, or sense of community (which can be hard to find in a rental situation). In light of a few of the negative reviews below about the complexs management, I can say from my own experiences that the office staff (Amber, David, Elizabeth and Shirley) are outstanding to work with. This stands even if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of trying to resolve a negative situation. If you approach them from a mindset of wanting to work with them toward a positive solution, they will be your best allies. I experienced their compassion and mediation skills first-hand when trying to acclimate my anxiety-prone rescue dog to his new environment. Even when I was short on patience, they never were, and each time we communicated, we were able to work together on a positive outcome that pleased my neighbors and gave me time to get my dogs anxiety under control. Thanks for two great years at Camden! I would encourage anyone shopping around for a rental in Raleigh to consider looking here.

Recently had a few maintenance issues just minor things. Always Camden’s maintenance team does an excellent job!Especially this time! Exceeding my weekend expectations for sure! Our weatherstripping on the door seemed to have been warm down, and I think was causing some issues! Yanni, a wonderful part of the camden team, took time on the weekend, and within a couple hours of my request, to pop in and fix our strip!I immediately noticed that our apartment was already feeling warmer that evening! Thanks camden team! And thanks Yanni, for helping make my apartment a little warmer, especially with expected snow this weekend!Camden and the maintenance team are always so kind and so generous and I’m glad to live in a neighborhood where everyone treats you like family!

I lived here for a year. This apt is one of a kind. The location is the key! Access to I-40, shopping malls(crabtree, crossroads), hospitals, Glenwood ave and stadiums, everything within 5-10 mins drive distance. They have a great pool and clubhouse, though I never got around to use them. The apartment itself was brand new and furnished with modern light fixtures and cabinets. So I loved it! Huge balconies. Big closets.Any maintenance issue was immediately taken care of by the management immediately. They are the best part of living in this complex. They send emails when you get a package. They hold social parties for residents, give out discount coupons n stuff.Sure, I had disagreements with the staff. But I always got it resolved by just talking to them. Even the moving out charges (which I did not agree with) was reversed by the manager after talking to the upper management, once I met her and explained our case. They are extremely understanding people. I have not seen leasing office staff go this extra mile for their residents anywhere else. (I have lived in apartments in other states for past 6 years). The only reason we moved out was because we bought a house and were ready to start a family.Even then the leasing office helped us save couple of months rent by finding someone to take over our lease after we closed on our house! Isnt that marvelous?!There were only a couple of things that has frustrated me. The apt walls are thin. So you can hear people upstairs. So pray for silent neighbors. Parking is limited on Friday and Saturday nights.I will definitely recommend this apartment to anyone!

Very nice apartments and great staff!Apartments:Crown molding, real tile floors in bathrooms, kitchen and entrance hall. This alone sets these apartments above most I have lived in. Add to this the paint work on the ceiling, molding, panel doors and frames is different from the walls which gives a more classy look than your average all-white popcorn ceiling apartment. You are also allowed to paint accent walls if you like. The deck was covered and very big with decent storage. The appliances were stainless steel, and although basic were nice and all GE branded. The kitchen island with storage cupboards is really handy to have and definitely set this place apart. The bathrooms overall were nice with double sinks in the master bathroom. The guest bath was very functional with good drawers and storage cupboard above the toilet. The window in the master bath is a nice touch. The bedrooms were spacious and both have nice sized closets. Our master bedroom had windows on two separate walls which really gave it a nice feel. The blinds on the windows are a lot sturdier and nicer than the flimsy things you get in most apartments. The main issues we had with the apartment were lack of ice maker on the outside of the fridge (there is one inside the freezer), the microwave hob light has gone out twice now which could be related to my next issue. The power here has been rally sketchy with probably 5 outages of an hour or more in the year we lived here and at least 7 small outages (enough to be annoying, reset clocks, etc.). Many of these outages were for minor rain or wind, nothing that would cause outages in other places I lived. I think the power issues are building specific as I saw lights on in some buildings when ours was out. This is probably Duke Energys fault and has gotten better in the last month or so.The AC here works really well - I have lived in several other apartments where it barely works in the summer, here the AC and the heating work very well. The only minor gripe is that the thermostats are not programmable.Staff:First the maintenance here has been great and very fast, everything got fixed quickly and they did not leave a mess and were good about making sure our cats did not escape. We got plenty of notice about scheduled maintenance. The office staff have been great from the very beginning. First, when we moved from out of state they let us sign our lease documents online and saved our keys for pickup later. The staff themselves have all been very nice and helpful to work with.Something else that sets this place apart is the staff organize events such as chili cookouts, pool parties, book clubs and food trucks. They even handed out breakfast to people leaving the complex several times and had beer some evenings. This gives the place a great sense of community and makes me feel they care.Amenities:The mail boxes were far from our apartment which was a chore at first, but overall it works really well because they have large drop boxes for parcels. The mail guy puts your parcel in a drop box and then leaves a key in your mailbox. I really liked the system. The mailboxes are large which is good when youre a bit lax in checking it regularly!I never used the pool, but it looks really nice, has grills and a hot tub and is lit up all fancy at night. The gym is small and can get crowded, but has good equipment and is well maintained. They also keep the gym AC nice and cold which is great.Location:This place is about two minutes from the highway and not only are you 10 minutes drive from Umstead State Park, you can even run there. The main street outside is Corporate Center Drive which is tree-lined and has sidewalks. There is a crosswalk across Trinity and from there you can get to a path to the PNC Arena. From near PNC you can either make a left onto the Richland Creek dirt trail which meets up with the Loblolly in Schenck Forest and take it into Umstead. Another option is the Reedy Creek paved Greenway up Edwards Mill Rd. which can take you either to Umstead or to the Art Museum

I have been living here for a little over 3 years now and have very few complaints. The community tends to stay pretty quiet and the staff on site are very friendly. If you plan on being loud and crazy at 12/3 am I would recommend looking else where. You will be notified pretty quick if so and if it keeps up you will be looking for a new place pretty quick. The residents on average are friendly and social as well.As for amenities... They have an amazing pool and hot tub next to the office. The hours are reasonable and pretty standard, granted it would be great if they could extend the hot tub hours for those who hit the gym after work and want to relax a little afterwords. They installed a small dog park and wash station which is great if you are a pet owner as well as having pet stations with free dog bags spread a crossed the complex. I feel like one of the few amenities missing would be a car washing station.Although, it might not be advertised much, but they do organize with a private company to come out on weekends (on occasion) that will wash your car for a reasonable price if you wish. I tend to be a more do it yourself kind of guy so I havent taken advantage of this, but I thought it worth mentioning. That brings me to the active events that they plan. They host cookouts quiet often with free food and beer. Sometimes they will do morning breakfast events or evening greeting events at the main entrance. Meeting and greeting residence as they come and go. Passing out free breakfast or after work foods. Red bull and coffee in the morning... Heck Yeah! : )I have moved apartments inside of the complex once and David was very helpful in helping me find a new apartment at the best price for what I was looking for. If you have any questions most definitely ask for him! He will be the guy dressed in a nice suit or wearing a tie.He also was very quick to respond and help get the right guys out here when I reported a water leak at 12am. It turned out that the adjacent unit to mine for over a week had been flooding. The residences next door were out of town and didnt realize their unit was under water. Eventually all the carpet in my closet was replaced and both David and Shirley were very helpful in resolving the issue and going over and beyond what would be expected. Just make sure you follow up with the office if you run into an issue sometimes maintenance forgets things. The water leak wasnt due to an negligence on the complexs half. They do regular inspections on their equipment and are in the process if not already in replacing all the lighting in the complex and apartments to be LEDs. So if you are interested in saving on electricity then you are a step closer. I actual time in my 1 bedroom i pay between 40 and 60 dollars a month for power depending on the season. Which is great.
