I’ve lived at The Met about a week, and I love it.Megan helped me tour, fill out paper work, and get everything in order and she was super helpful. I tend to over email in these situations because I’m a over thinker and she always replied graciously.I have a studio apartment and I love it. It is well laid out, and I totally love the shower, and walk-in closet.The amenities here are awesome as well, coffee, pool, some lounges and a pretty nice gym.The property itself is kept super clean, and noise levels aren’t bad at all which I can enjoy.I’m super happy with my move here so far!

Ive been at The Met for a couple months now and can highly recommend it! The front desk staff (usually Dustin!) are great and super quick to reply if you have an issue. Its in the best location: close enough to Glenwood South to be super walkable, but not too noisy. Very pet-friendly and everyone Ive met here has been lovely. Very happy to be a resident of The Met!

This place is amazing. It is so clean with wonderful amenities and an excellent staff, from the office people and maintenance team. If there is ever any issues, they address them quickly and are very friendly. You can’t beat the location. Walk anywhere right from your doorstep! Check them out, you won’t be sorry!

I moved into The Metro about a month ago and so far have been very satisfied with my experience as a resident. Ann Marie was warm and welcoming during the initial tour and throughout the leasing and move-in process. The complex is clean, well maintained, and quiet; the location right off Glenwood South is great; the front office staff is consistently polite and helpful with requests, both to me and other residents. All around Im super pleased to call this complex home!

Let me just say this was one of the best touring experiences ever. Ann Marie was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in the door to the end of our tour I knew this was my new home. She was so hospitable, showed me all the amenities, answered every single one of my questions. Even showed me the same apartment 3 times to get a feel for the space and if I’d want pool view or street view. I have a very strict rent budget from getting back on my feet from being laid off from COVID she didn’t hesitate to calculate out the best deal they could offer me. Needless to say I will be signing a lease to get my keys next week.

Made an appointment to tour with Dustin to view a 2 bedroom. He was very friendly and answered every question I had! The community is beautiful, has very upscale amenities, and is in a great location.

I just moved here on August 20th after selling my home and I absolutely love it. The staff here is amazing and always very responsive to any needs I may have. They make sure to keep everything very clean and the amenities here are next level!! If you like to golf at all, you will love the simulator they have here. You can go golf at anytime of the day and play courses all around the world. The gym here is also amazing and never too crowded. It has just enough mix of free weights and cable machines with a really nice biking and HIIT room. Free espresso machine also helps me save some money on my usual coffee runs! Really happy that I moved here and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking to live in the convenience of downtown.

Weve just moved into the Met during COVID, which to say the least has been an unusual move. However, the Met team (especially Nina) has been absolutely wonderful! They are now doing showings, but at the time, they were not and the team offered to help measure a table and things in the apartment, plus even did a video walk down the hall for us. We called Nina daily and she was patient, kind and so extremely helpful. Everyone has been lovely -- from move in to the maintenance team! We also love our corner apartment, its nice and quiet. The Metropolitan is an ideal, modern and sophisticated apartment community in Downtown Raleigh. The maintenance team is very responsive, quick and professional in completing service requests and general building maintenance. The office team as well are very professional, friendly and customer service driven. They host various community events and have plenty of amenity areas to lounge and host gatherings. The main reason I chose The Metropolitan is because they do not charge for parking and also offer free parking for guests where almost all communities in downtown charge a pretty penny. I highly recommend this community .

Our experience after almost 7 months of residency has been very good. Very little to criticize. The staff is not only professional but friendly and as helpful as they can be. Repairs and problems are dealt with very quickly by Rick and Tony and a short note to them gets them on top of the problem quickly. The facility is maintained in good order and it is clean and orderly. Questions are answered quickly and you know the staff are on top of things. The only issue is the street noise in front and on the Harrington Street sides of the building. There seem to be a huge cache of loud cars who like those roads including one resident. However, that is not the fault of Banner Properties.After 7 months we feel that we have found the right residence in the Raleigh area and have no regrets. The proximity to areas we frequent in the city is very good. I would recommend the Metropolitan to anyone looking for a very good place to live in Raleigh

Moving from Florida during these unprecedented times was a daunting task, but The Metropolitan made the process an absolute pleasure. Nina in the leasing office went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure I was taken care off. She was incredibly friendly and accommodating, helping me every step of the way. She did everything she could to assist me with any questions, concerns, or hiccups and made me feel like an important important member of this community from the second I walked into the door. Thanks to Nina’s exceptional service, I am happily moved in to a beautiful apartment in an amazing area of downtown Raleigh. I would highly recommend this community!

Great place to live with a lot of amenities - Absolutely love the location as well and the quality is amazing. The staff is very helpful and maintenance is quick to handle problems. One of the best places I have lived - Overall 5/5 -Cons - NOISY APARTMENT - Just one thing in terms of noise - The apartments are not very sound proof and music can potentially shake/disturb others at night. Some tenants play it pretty late into the night. Not sure if its worth signing the lease again

The place is awesome. People is really nice and property managers are really great.Their facilities are great, with grill area, two kitchens (one on the terrace with a very view of downtown Raleigh), gym, arcade, swimming pool, pet stations, golf simulator, etc.I would recommend this place for anyone or everybody looking for a fair price and wonderful accommodation downtown. It will be quite hard to find anything better and affordable.There is not a single issue with security. This building is on top of security comparing with other places that they we have leaved before.The only downside in my point of view is related to few other people leaving here, eventually some of them will not follow the rules for garbage, cleanness, maintenance, sound, etc. In the other hand, maintenance people is always reinforcing the polices and cleaning after them. But this is the life leaving together, everywhere there are little lazy people.Summary is: you will get a lot for your money!

I moved in to The Metropolitan shortly after they opened and have loved every minute of living here. The square footage you get for the rent far, FAR exceeds other complexes in the area. And on top of that, the amenities are just icing on the cake. The golf simulator/theatre room is incredibly unique and SO fun. The arcade room, and really nice gym are nice additions as well. The property management in in-building, so anything you need is taken care of quickly, and theyre all great people and fun to stop by and visit! And one of the best amenities is that parking is included! The deck has plenty of room and youre not charged $50-75/month.My only critique is that you can sometimes hear the people above you walking around if theyre a heavy walker.

I want to echo some of what previous residents have said. During this COVID pandemic, Nina, Brie and Tonya have been very communicative as it pertains to first, adjusting expectations and second, clearly stating new policies. During my move-in, Nina and Brie were very responsive, patient and helpful in clarifying stipulations and policies that are required for new residents.Finally, Rick has been very helpful on numerous occasions - including when I was locked out of my apartment due to a malfunctioning key. Rick was only happy to go out of his way - after hours, no less - to make sure that I had access to my residence.With all that being said there are of course cases in which residents do not follow apartment policy (regarding dogs in the pool for example, or cleanliness). In general, neighbors are very friendly and adherence to public health guidelines (mask wearing and social distancing, for example) amongst residents is generally high - with some exceptions of course.There is a new management company that owns this building but there are no significant changes in practices and policies. I would not hesitate to recommend the Metropolitan as your next home.

Really great place to live with really nice amenities. The only reason why I am not giving Metropolitan Apartments 5 stars is their dog play area amenity smells horrible (its pretty much a liter box for dogs) and something needs to be done about it. Its completely unusable and I refuse to let my dog play in there because it is so gross. If that were fixed, Id upgrade my review to 5 stars immediately.

By far the best place I have lived. The common areas are very clean, always accessible and very fun! The on-site staff are always very friendly and can help with whatever is needed! Great price for the killer location its in!

I moved in this summer and have loved being apart of this community. Anytime I have a question or concern the staff gets back to me immediately and is very attentive. I feel very safe in this part of downtown and love my apartment. The amenities are well worth the price of rent alone and the gym is amazing. I would definitely move to The Metropolitan again and whenever I have guests they always compliment how nice it is!

I love this place! Just moved in a weeks ago from another downtown location and couldn’t be happier. The property is top of the line from the amenities to just the way it flows! There is plenty of parking and lots of nice areas to just relax. The rooftop patio has a great view, the golf simulator is great and they have a HEATED POOL! Best of all is they way the team treats you! Tonya and Brie are honestly great! They are always so nice and made my move in a breeze! They are really really accommodating with any questions or concerns. I just met Samantha and she is awesome too! I feel so at home and like a member of this community already! That means more to me than anything when looking for a place to live. I look forward to my time at The Metropolitan! Thank you guys so much!

New to the Metropolitan having moved about a month ago. So far though it has been great. Office staff has always been very helpful, great amenities, good balance of good people but not overly loud. Walking distance to so many things, I would definite recommend to others.

Would give a zero if possible. Your apartment door locks behind you without choice and if you’re locked out after hours there’s nothing/nobody to let you back in. Poor management system. Had to get a hotel room instead of sleeping in my car. How’s there not an on-site 24hr security? Would recommend living somewhere else for safety reasons.

The Metropolitan in Raleigh, NC is the place to be!!! The staff members are friendly, attentive and professional. The location is prime as there are many restaurants, lounges and just overall downtown raleigh events at your fingertips. I highly recommend the community.

The property is stunning. Lets get that out the way now, from the finishes of the apartment homes to the smart key doors AND Smart Elevator access. This building is all the way in the 21st century and I love it! Have no worries here as everything has been implemented into making this building one of, if not THE BEST residential building on Glenwood AND Glenwood south. In this review what I want to focus more on the staff, you can have the most beautiful building in the world but if the staff is not on point it wont matter. Im extremely pleased to say at the Metropolitan --Banner Property Management has hit it out of the park with their team. First Tonya- Who is the Property Manager. Tonya has without a doubt blew my expectations out of the water. She is what all Property managers should strive to be! To put into words how dedicated Tonya is I will say The devil works hard, but Tonya works harder! She answered all my questions, whatever they may be even after hours. She has helped and addressed ANY issue I have brought her way no matter how big or small it gets handled QUICKLY usually on the same day or next day.. I swear she is the Amazon Prime of humans just amazing! Next, I want to speak on Brie- Leasing Consultant: Brie is such an awesome person to be around, she is always in a positive mood no matter what is going on! She is so down to earth that it feels like youre talking to a good friend who just so knows everything about the property! I first met Brie when the building was still being built and we had done a hard hat tour. (I went about 3 or so times and we had to walk to the top floor as the elevators werent ready yet) no matter how many times I wanted to view the space Brie was always up for the trek up the stairs and made us feel very welcomed every time we went to view. Her and Tonya make an amazing team here at the Metropolitan! Next, I want to speak on Maintenance which is looked after by Rick: Rick is one of the nicest maintenance people! I had some small issues that needed to be fixed in my apartment (Stuff construction missed) and Rick took care of it right away. He is EXTREMELY warm and professional in your home and in/around the building, always easy to speak to about anything in the building. If you are a professional and want to enjoy TRUE luxury amenities and fantastic staff I suggest this be your first stop hands down! **Below is a photo of my dog, he loves the big windows so he can sunbath in the comfort of his own home!

Management office staff VERY attentive/responsive to requests. Gym and spin/yoga room among the best I saw when conducting my apartment search. Cant beat the location (about equidistant bet. Glennwood Ave. & Fayetteville St.). Common areas, especially the lobby, are meticulously maintained.(Minor) Negatives: Off-hour lockouts can be a problem as electronic key fobs are used that many locksmiths may be unfamiliar with, and no ability to deadbolt apartment doors from the outside. Can be a long schlep from some apartments to the garage & garbage chute.

Disappointed.I have lived at the Metropolitan for 8 months now. Most things are adequate, but the parking situation has always been a bit of an issue. Nothing about it in the past has ever been bad enough to warrant writing a review, but my recent experience cannot go un-noted.As I mentioned, I have lived here for 8 months, and registered my car to park in the garage as soon as I moved in. There was nothing different on this particular day than usual. However, one morning I walked out to my car to go to work, and it was not in the garage spot where I parked it the previous day.I thought it might have been stolen, but as it turns out, I discovered that the Metropolitan had actually towed me thinking I was trespassing. I understand that people make mistakes, but the Metropolitans handling of their mistake was not adequate.First, they wouldnt own up to it, and accused me of not having the proper stickers. Instead of returning my car to me when they learned I was not parked illegally, they made me go retrieve it from the impound, and pay the $150 for it myself. When I picked up the car, I pointed out that the permit sticker was in the same spot on the rear windshield that it had always been. I got told its not in a visible enough location. I am not sure where anyone would put these stickers other than the rear windshield.I missed half a day at work, and a very important client meeting figuring this all out, but the Metropolitan didnt seem to care. They later agreed to reimburse my account for the $150 I had to pay in towing fees. I should hope they would do at least that, but as of now I still do not see that credit.I give this review two stars because it otherwise is an okay place to live, but the parking situation has gone from bad to terrible for me. When you move in, they will try to sell you on the guest parking options they have, but dont be fooled. You have to get a pass from the office for your guests. They run out of passes all the time for some reason, even when there are plenty of open spots. Also, when you need a guest pass the most (weekend evenings when the street is full) the office is closed, and youre out of luck. This perk is totally non existent.Just know that these things are all in play if you decide to live here. On any given day, they may tow your car even though you really need it, but they just wont care. I am not sure why anyone would agree to settle with so many great apartment options in the same area.
