CUSTOMER SERVICE! CUSTOMER SERVICE! I haven’t moved into the complex yet but I’m giving it a 5 star rating based solely off of my interactions with Jessica. I’ve dealt with all types of leasing agents in my search to find a new apartment in Raleigh, after relocating there for work. Literally, from the uninterested to the rushed. From the moment I met her, I liked her. She walked me through the complex, showed me the show unit, answered all my mundane questions and made me feel comfortable. Almost like I was at home. Jessica is attentive, responsive and personable. She has answered every single question I’ve had, sent photos and even just checked in. If she responded late or didn’t get back to me until the next day, she apologized, even though it was not needed. More complexes need someone like her on their team and maybe they’d have better ratings and loyal residents. All of this is the reason why I ONLY put in a application to this community, out of the 6 that I toured. I cannot wait to move into my apartment in a little over a week and look forward to staying at this location for a while! If the rest of the staff is ANYTHING like her, I’m going to be here for a while! Thanks Jessica!
I just wanted to take a moment and share my appreciation for Jessica in the Stonehenge Apartments Leasing office. She has been the kindest and most responsive person in that office, and has been willing to do whatever it takes to make the residents including myself feel like a valued member of the community. Anytime I had a question about something or needed a maintenance service completed at my unit she was on top of it, and would always call or text to find a good time for my schedule. Cannot say more about her sense of customer service and doing her absolute best to meet the request of the tenants at Stonehenge apartments. It says in a few of the general/terms emails we are sent that “the entire staff is committed to providing us with exceptional service as residents of Stonehenge...” and I must say that she exemplifies this exceptional service. I can’t think back to a single interaction with her where I felt displeased or unappreciated, she has always been kind and receptive in the times that I’ve dealt with her. I think think the way that she conducts herself she be recognized. Always a pleasure! Thanks Jessica!
I have been a member of the Stonehenge at Arium community for over 7 years. The units are very spacious with unique floor plans. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful set among beautiful wooded property. Amenities include 3 pools, basketball courts, and a great fitness center!
Stonehenge is a great place to live! Maintenance is always super quick to fix things, and the office staff (especially Jessica) are always pleasant, caring, and responsive. There are 3 pools, a dog park, a dog-wash area with big sink, and more. The grounds are beautifully maintained. They host events throughout the year, like cornhole competitions, free breakfast, aquarobics, Mothers Day flower bouquet-making, and more. Its a quiet community, but still lively.
A company that prioritizes money over residents. I have lived here for a year, and at the start I had a great relationship with Stonehenge and management. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 things have changed. With renewing coming up, I was only notified a month into the 60 day notice period. Now, I am being told I am responsible for October rent even though my lease is up September 30th, and the company is not even willing to work with me. I am able to pay my current rent on a nurses salary, but I was told now that I am responsible for the increase charges of market place on top of rent making my 1 bedroom apartment almost 1500 dollars, thats more than I get paid in one biweekly period. I was told by the leasing agent that there is nothing she can do, and they are not willing to work with me due to the company strictly enforcing that they will not work with anyone on rent costs of housing even though I have been a resident for a year now. No wonder why there is high turn over in this apartment complex. I wouldve recommended this place a year ago, but it shows greed and capitalism will always over look a respectable and responsible paying tenant. People arent going to be able to afford to live here and the apartments arent even all up to date. Spend your money elsewhere.
Why do arium employees think its okay to enter my apartment whenever they feel like without notice and starts setting off my security alarms and just leave whenever they feel like without telling me why they came or when they are coming in????? unbelievable. dont rent from here this happend MULTIPLE TIMES
If I could leave 0 stars I would. My niece is renting there. Ac has not worked the entire month they have been there someone came to fix it today and fell thru the ceiling which in return the complex would not so anything about it said it was safe to stay there even though insulation was all over their bed! DO NOT RENT HERE! They dont take responsibility for the things that have fallen apart from neglect. Dude that fell said ot was from water damage yet the complex manager is telling them its safe to stay there tonight. Way to expensive to he treated this way! And to the complex I have contacted troubleshooter Diane Wilson to look into this after reading other reviews
I am a current resident at Stonehenge Apartments. We have lived here almost 2years. Due to COVID-19, our finances have changed. We reached out to HouseWake for assistance, gave them Emily’s (assistant manger) information only to find out today (weeks later) our application was denied because of Stonehenge’s refusal to the program. Emily didn’t even have the decency to call or email & tell us. I am extremely saddened by this as my family & other families in wake county actually need the help & it is very obvious they do not care about their residents. I would leave zero stars if I could, rent anywhere else. Edited to add: Emily emailed me this morning being passive-aggressive with backhanded comments. Also if anyone in this neighborhood is facing eviction, message me on FB or email (first name & last name) so I can connect you with legal help.
The best place to live! The office staff is very helpful!
Simply terrible. Overpriced, old, rundown, roach infested apartments. The walls are paper thin. Get ready for nosey Karens for neighbors and an incompetent staff. There are much better options for the price. North Raleigh is nice but trust me this is not the place unless you like slumming it. Management doesnt care. They slap some new paint on and continue collecting checks. The one nice neighbors I had, friendly young family with a baby, had to move after two months because it was so bad. I cannot recommend in good conscience to anyone.
The absolute best move-in experience Ive ever had. My leasing consultant, Jessica, was personal, courteous and professional throughout the entire process. The value for my money on this apartment is very good considering its size, new upgrades, amenities and location. To be honest, its like living in my own luxury condo compared to my former apartment in Los Angeles. The entire staff here take immense pride in their work and do an excellent job keeping the community clean and everything in working order. The apartments are older but theyve recently done some nice upgrades that make up the difference. My area of the community is very quiet, especially at night. Thankfully there is no loud music, cars, voices, etc. to contend with here. Still getting used to the apartment living aspect again (i.e. neighbor noises) as I was staying with a relative for a few months. Just need to start exercising my tolerance muscle again. Everyone is still pretty cooped up due to COVID so I try to take that into consideration. But again, overall this is a very quiet, clean and safe community. Looking forward to meeting and socializing with my neighbors once things are back to normal. Also using more of the outdoor amenities with the arrival of spring. Hoping the annual lease renewal/rent increases are reasonable as I can definitely see myself staying here for quite awhile. Many thanks to the Stonehenge staff for all you do for us tenants :-)
Usually, I would think moving two states away would be a nightmare but Jessica in the leasing office was OUTSTANDING at answering all of our questions/concerns, sending us many pictures/text/emails to make sure we were getting what we needed in our new apartment home and made getting moved in quick & simple, it was more of a dream! We love the location, the private feel of the property with all of the oaks, and the fact that we could have all three of our sweet dogs! Almost been here a week and happy to call Stonehenge our new home!
Location-great. amenities-great. not super impressed with much else.
I met with Jessica this past weekend & she is wonderful. I needed to find an apartment this weekend & she was such a comfort, so reassuring! She is the best!!
I have lived in many apartment communities in my life and the team at Stonehenge is the most kind, thoughtful, responsive, and attentive out of any other. They truly want what’s best for their residents and go above and beyond and make sure you’re taken care of. The maintenance staff are so helpful and prompt; any issue I’ve had was taken care of immediately- even so much as replacing my entire deck for the safety of my daughter due to a couple older pieces of wood. I absolutely recommend living here!
I have been living here for almost a year now and I am just so happy! Whether it is staff or a neighbor, everyone in the neighborhood is so kind & welcoming. 10/10!!
I have been living here for a few months only. The tranquility here is priceless. The surrounding landscaping is breathtaking. Staff are professional and friendly! This place is peaceful to me. I feel truly safe here and would highly recommend it everyone seeking an abode that calls to you. This is it!
Its nice in some respects. Location cost and expected aminities. This complex has however defered maintenance for years the place is slowly rotting away. Some items are safety related such as rotten railings and buckeld sidewalks that are a trip hazard for the many elderly that live here. Management blames their contractors when the trash isnt picked up, but mandate tenants use the service. Hopefully theyll own the problems and fix them before someone gets hurt.
The Stonehenge Apartments are a great Raleigh location to live in. Being right off Creedmoor Road, its close to shopping, as well as access to Routes 540 and 440. The Property Manager, Melody, is friendly and helpful. The amenities that come with living here are a swimming pool, playground, dog park, and fitness center. There are plenty of parking spaces, and enough surrounding trees to make it a peaceful place to call home.
When I tell you the excellence I experienced..... First of all Jessica and Melody are the best and efficient. Then the perks of have certain up grades was mind blowing....... We are a happy family to be here.... it feels like a lil mini home but in an apartment. The rooms are huge...and we could not be more pleased..... anything else or perks we couldnt take it.... i recommended this place to Kings or Queens.... Happy Tenant 😘
Trash employees, not helpful what so ever especially Jennifer. She had an attitude-she needs to get that checked out. If I could give no stars I would.
This group is unprofessional, unhelpful, and dismissive. Rather than helping a former tenant recover important mail, they would rather hit me with a secondhand threat to have the police called if I knocked on the current tenants door to ask about it.I asked if they could please leave a note, letting the current tenant know that they have packages that do not belong to them. Seems like that is too much effort apparently, as they are unwilling to help beyond a single phone call.Avoid this management group.
I haven’t lived in an apartment in decades and these apartments have me never wanting to buy a house again. They are large, affordable, plenty of windows and if anything goes wrong maintenance is on it! The leasing staff is great. Gym, Amazon Hub, indoor dog wash, pools, wonderful scenery - it’s all awesome. It is also a very convenient location. Very walkable. The complex itself is well landscaped and makes for a nice stroll and the surrounding neighborhoods are all well lit making the whole area safe. You really feel part of a community here.
I love this property and the scenery. It’s surrounded by trees which gives it a very natural and secluded feel, even though it’s conveniently located close to tons of restaurants and areas to shop. But what really makes this property special is the staff. The girls in the office are so friendly and helpful. The vibe is always extremely welcoming.
I have lived at Stonehenge Apartments for more than a year. My experience has been wonderful. If you are looking for a new home, this is your place. It is a very quiet, nice neighborhood. The grounds are very well kept and maintenance is great! The office staff is also wonderful, especially the manager (Melody).
The location of this property is perfect. There are so many necessity shops close by. The staff is incredibly nice, and do everything they can to make sure you’re happy with your home. If you’re looking for apartments these are great.
Recently toured this property. The apartments are great size and very nice for what I wanted. The staff was also very friendly. They really went above and beyond to help with what I was looking for. I would highly recommend this property. Ask for Emily, the assistant manager she’ll be sure to take care of you!
Cant post zero stars so here is the one star review. The worst customer service Ive ever had, the head of maintenance lied to me repeatedly about the quality of my air conditioning. A 750 square foot one bedroom was costing me over $100 during the fall to heat, despite the fact that I was turning off AC, multiple months of complaints were met with such responses as keep your ac on 75 degrees or my favorite from the head of maintenance Parker who told me that air conditioner units from the 70s were better than new ones.Today as the last day of my lease, Im currently on vacation and they are threatening to file an eviction on me if I dont turn in my keys. I told them that I would return them when I get back into town, they have chosen instead to classify my as a holdover threatening to ruin my credit because Im out of town till the weekend.I paid rent every month on time, I paid my bills, I treated my neighbors with respect, zero issues but this management is absolutely horrible. Im going to be forced to contact a lawyer to figure this issue out. The combination of threats, false advertising about upgraded appliances and the refusal to fix apartment problems despite over a half year of request has left me with no other choice.Do not rent from here, notice the one star reviews because this place is horrible. They lead you in nice amenities but not worth it.EDIT:Emailed your corporate a week ago, your customer service is superficial at best.
Stonehenge is a great community to stay. Even though you have a large natural setting with large trees and mature landscaping you are still in walking distance of restaurants, shops and a grocery storeThe staff is super friendly and to be on top of things to. Very nice complex.
Living in Stonehenge has been great. It’s quiet, very pet friendly, and the staff is fast at resolving any maintenance issues. The location is great. My only complaint is having to walk a little further than I’d like to for my mailbox. I’ve recommended the complex to multiple people and one of my friends moved into the building right next to me!
Great place to live! Management is always on top of any problem. Super nice and welcoming when I was new to the area! The community is beautiful, and the pools are fantastic!
Have lived here 3 months so far and we’re very happy! Read lots of reviews for places within a radius from school and work and we were able to quickly get an appt for a tour here. Although this whole process happened within “Covid times” I loved what I read in past reviews and Facebook posts in regards to their sense of community and events. Whether in a house or apartment, neighbors are important and a part of our lives.Everyone in our building is so friendly and there’s definitely a mix of people throughout Stonehenge. There are families, young couples, seniors/elderly (I don’t know what the preferred term is 😬), professionals, etc.Even with restrictions staff is creative with “events” like the recent resident appreciation week. Some places you may feel forgotten once you sign the lease and “they’ve got you” but here it feels like the relationship continues.Amenities are awesome; playground is nice and clean. The kids love the pool (there’s 3!), trash is picked up from your door (AMAZING), basketball court, tennis, a doggie wash and park, fire pit, etcEvery apt complex landscapes in some way but I love the mature trees that make up the view here. Shade for summer, colors in the fall, birds singing... I don’t think I’ve ever seen litter either.Location is A+. In addition to being super close to work and school for us, you can walk to restaurants, Starbucks, shops, etc. Get in the car and you’re close to anything you’d want to do. Parks, lake trails, Crabtree, 540- it’s all incredibly close. The area in general is nice and safe; this little corner of Raleigh is wonderful.Stonehenge is a perfect fit for us. Layout is great, balconies are a plus, lots of closet space and windows, but the friendly staff and neighbors are just beyond. If you’re looking to move, call up the office and speak with them. They were great at answering our questions and representing the community.Good luck!
We loved our stay at Stonehenge! The amenities are amazing & the staff is wonderful! They do awesome resident events and are always so welcoming! It’s definitely a great place to call home!
Management is great and very responsive. The maintenance team is top notch. I’ve only had positive experiences here and I would highly recommend to anyone!
I have had some maintenance requests over the past few months and the response has been immediate. The office staff is wonderful. Beautiful setting. Thanks for all of your hard working in making this a wonderful place to live.
Ive lived at Stonehenge for about 9 months now and I have to say it has been by far the best apartment experience I have had! Ive rented a house for the last ten years and was worried to go back to apartment living but I dont think I could have chosen a better location and company. They are super pet friendly, my apartment was completely renovated and affordable, and the office and maintenance staff is nothing short of amazing!
I am currently looking for a new place, as I am relocating from Connecticut. I spoke to Jessica who was not only extremely friendly and helpful, she made this decision easier for me. She emailed me right away with pictures of all the options we had discussed. I think Stonehenge will be a great place to live!
I have lived here for years and would recommend this complex to anyone. The staff is very friendly and professional. Usually I deal with Jessica and she is always amazingly helpful.
Best place to live in Raleigh! Convenient location to everything and amazing super helpful staff! Lots of amenities and things to do here along with being pet friendly and affordable!
My sons and I did a cross country move from California to North Carolina. Aubrey from Stonehenge was so patient and kind with us. Aubrey was in constant communication with us while we all got our forms and setups. She is truly a gift. We felt like we already had a friend waiting for us. Our apartment is wonderful. The amenities are great. Love the hammocks by the pool. My son and I just got back from a wine and cheese at the clubhouse. We are truly happy to make Stonehenge our home for now.Update-We just signed up for our third year. Stonehenge is wonderful.
Things started out shaky, but management has done an excellent job correcting the issues. I understand things happen that are beyond our control...its how you respond or answer the call. The management team at Stonehenge responded WELL by making things with me and my family to insure a comfortable living experience; for that, they get an A+. I hope as things arise, they will continue to answer the call. Thank You!
For the past few months my daughter and I have been going through some very rough times. But the staff at the office has bent over backwards in their thoughtfulness and kindness to help us through our difficulties. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to everyone at the office who has gone out of their way to help us out. Thank you so very much. I just wish you guys would bring back the Laundry Room. It was so convenient for us to use.!!!!
Excellent, cant say enough good words about Stonehenge Apartments by ARIUM. Beautiful neighborhood, with bike trails, flowers, trees, peaceful surroundings. Nature at its best!Conveniently located within walking distance of a major grocerty store, including many restaurants and shops, as well as a pharmacy and a gas station.Stonehenge Apartments wonderful residents watch out for one another, participate in charity events and enjoy the amenities of the site. This is a most respectful community, with young and old living side by side. The many amenities include, 3 luxury pool areas, an in-door BB Court, an outdoor fire pit, a club house including a really nice pool table, bike lending, dog spa and a bark park, dog bags strategically placed on property. An outside play area for kids and adults, as well as a play ground. As for the management team, outstanding as well as the maintenance crew. If you are looking for a place to live in Raleigh, short or long term, do visit Stonehenge Apartments by ARIUM, a GPTL/Great Place To Live!
Very helpful office and maintenance staff. Great spacious apartment. Fantastic area. Close to everything.
Awful Management. When I informed the management that I was in process of giving my 60 day notice and breaking my lease I was told that I would still have to buy out my lease even though Atrium would rent the apartment out before my lease end date. In NC a landlord must by law try to rent out or make an effort to rent out an apartment as soon as said tenant moves out. Once rented out again said tenant does not have to fulfill the lease agreement. They are in violation of NC law.(Isbey v. Crews, 284 S.E.2d 534 (N.C. Ct. App. 1981))If you dont have a legal justification to break your lease, the good news is that you may still be off the hook for paying all the rent due for the remaining lease term. This is because under North Carolina law your landlord must make reasonable efforts to re-rent your unit-no matter what your reason for leaving-rather than charge you for the total remaining rent due under the lease. So you may not have to pay much, if any additional rent, if you break your lease. You need pay only the amount of rent the landlord loses because you moved out early. This is because North Carolina requires landlords to take reasonable steps to keep their losses to a minimum-or to mitigate damages in legal terms. So, if you break your lease and move out without legal justification, your landlord usually cant just sit back and wait until the end of the lease, and then sue you for the total amount of lost rent. Your landlord must try to re-rent the property reasonably quickly and subtract the rent received from new tenants from the amount you owe. The landlord does not need to relax standards for acceptable tenants-for example, to accept someone with a poor credit history. Also, the landlord is not required to rent the unit for less than fair market value, or to immediately turn his or her attention to renting your unit disregarding other business. Also, the landlord can add legitimate expenses to your bill-for example, the costs of advertising the property. If your landlord re-rents the property quickly (more likely in college towns and similar markets), all youll be responsible for is the (hopefully brief) amount of time the unit was vacant. The bad news is that if the landlord tries to re-rent your unit, and cant find an acceptable tenant, you will be liable for paying rent for the remainder of your lease term. This could be a substantial amount of money if you leave several months before your lease ends. Your landlord will probably first use your security deposit to cover the amount you owe. But if your deposit is not sufficient, your landlord may sue you, probably in small claims court where the limit is $5,000 in North Carolina.
During my time living at Stonehenge, I requested to be put on the pest control list. It never happened in 13 months. My fridge broke down twice in the same week and I was forced to replace it on my own with no help from the maintenance team. Food replacement twice cost me over $600 and the property offered no concession for it, I was told to just call the renters insurance company when no insurance company provides coverage for that. The maintenance supervisor and the property manager literally laughed when I called to report that my A/C unit had burnt out, tripped the power in my apartment and nearly started a fire. This was an issue I had to deal with for about a month with a small child living in the apartment in an unsafe condition and a fire hazard. We also had 14 mice, yes 14 which I caught using traps and reported the issue but they never gave me a solution or had an exterminator come out to inspect. I literally had to just keep putting mouse traps down in the apartment throughout my lease. Upon move out, I notified the office about 80 days in advance and was told by a leasing consultant that it was noted and we were clear on that, it was a lie and I was forced into an extra month of rent obligation as there was no 60 day notice on file. When we finally did move out, we were charged for holes in the walls that were not bigger than a quarter, broken blinds which I left brand new blinds for them to replace the broken ones with that I got from the maintenance shop, a key fob replacement which the key fob was turned in, paint for the walls (which would be done anyway), furniture removal for a microwave we left there because the apartment didnt come with one. The management here is ridiculous, unpleasant, unknowledgeable and lazy to say the least. The residents there all complain about them and nothing ever changes. It is a largely an elderly demographic of residence living there and a LARGE PERCENTAGE of the apartments have mice and the staff does nothing about it. I am an OSHA Health and Safety Officer and I know for a fact that this is a Health and Comfort violation for residential living due to the risk of the hanta virus. I would discourage anyone thinking of moving here, it will most likely be your worst living experience.
The maintence comes out same day, the office staff is always so helpful and professional. And the amenities sre incredible. 100% recommend!
Conveniently located within walking distance to the grocery store, starbucks and the ABC store :). The office staff is always friendly and responsive, and maintenance always leaves notes when entering your apartment. Highly recommend!
My family has lived at Stonehenge Apartments for thousands of years (well, more than 14) and its been a while since Ive taken the time to write a review. While its true the entire office team is truly great, this write up focuses on a long-time member of its staff. Ever since my first interaction with her years ago, Jessica has consistently shown an enthusiastic willingness to help us whenever necessary; for example, the times weve had maintenance requests. In those instances (and many others), shes always been easily approachable and a delight to interact with. Thanks for all that you do, Jessica!
Mind boggling reading the negative reviews here. The location is great and the amenities are fantastic. My only gripe is with Amazon insisting on using their Hub instead of delivering to the unit, but that has nothing to do with the office. Overall its been a positive experience and the staff has been amazing.
Dirtiest apartment complex ever! Cobwebs/spiderwebs everywhere. Terrible handy people they don’t come when post to. No garbage dump is stupid! Would not recommend this apartment complex
Stonehenge is a great community to live in! The staff is very responsive and polite, the appliances are modern, and the residents are welcoming. I always enjoy attending the activities in the clubhouse, especially the dinners! My favorite thing to do on the weekends is relax by the pool and cookout on the grill. Definitely would recommend Stonehenge Apartments to a friend or family member.
This is the worst apartment Ive ever lived in. I moved from West Texas to a run down, dirty, hole filled apartment that is nothing like it was presented. There is little storage, the thermostat is faulty and the hot water only lasts long enough for a five minute shower. I guess Management believed that an African-American woman would be happy with sub standard living conditions. Do not move here, the apartments are not worth the rent.
Love this place best apartment Ive ever lived in.If youre trying to find an apartment in this area and you can swing moving here, move here
I love living here and have lived here for 14 years - there have been many different owners - but even with the many changes from different owners - this is a good apartment, I feel safe here, it is clean and the lawn care people do a great job. I have not talked to many people in the office as most stuff is online. But the two I have talked to were great and very helpful.
Ive lived at Stonehenge now for nearly four years and this will probably be my last year here. Two management changes in the past few years. The last management company was really corporate (all about the money, no personal touch) and spent a bunch of money redoing the offices. The pool area upgrades were nice, but it would be good to see more beautification around the Stonehenge campus. Why not clean out the gutters more often? The last management company tore down a bunch of flower beds and cut down a bunch of trees. The heavy rains in summer and fall meant lots more flooding--especially where there werent bushes or trees to soak up water. The Heaven and Earth landscaping company that has been used seems obsessed with leaf blowers and lawnmowers -- nice to have clean parking areas, but some days Ive seen lawnmowers cutting grass that didnt even need to be cut.Still not happy about the rental contract I had to sign that includes an extra $25 per month for a valet trash pick-up. No opting out of this. Even though the trash dumpsters are still here. Why cant I just empty my trash on my own? Thats $300 Im losing per year.
I have two dogs who benefit from the great size of the complex’s dog park. There are lots of activities for them to get their energy out! The complex also has a pet washing station on site. As for me, I have great choices to get my energy out; full size indoor basketball court, gym on site, resort style pool with hammocks and bbq area. The maintenance staff is efficient, curteous, and respectful. I couldn’t be happier living here.
Youre really not going to find a better complex. I love everything! On site is beautiful, well kept, and very communal. The staff is far and above any weve ever come across (weve lived in 5 states, from West to East Coast... trust me on this one), and the apartments are very homey.Considering all of the renovations (including, imported granite counter tops, hardwood floors, all new appliances, ect.) I wouldve thought wed be paying twice the monthly rent. But really, what sells this place is how family friendly it is. Our neighbors are wonderful, we have a great relationship with the entire staff (genuinely cannot gloat about them enough), the amenities are super awesome, and there a cute dogs everywhere you look (again, the grounds are well attended to and even offer doggy bags). If youre not a family person, the clubhouse is a greatly underrated place to pop in for a cup of coffee and either get work done or watch tv.I think its also important to add that theres variances in age of the average tenant. I think thats SO nice. My husband and I are in our early 20s, but we have a family and we greatly appreciate the comfortable but energetic feel of the our little community. We feel at home. We feel comfortable. We love it here.
We moved in about 3 months ago and so far we love it!!! Location is great we are close to everything, the area is beautiful, clean surroundings and quiet neighborhood. Maintenance is always quick to fix any issues in my apartment and the office staff is very nice and friendly.
Lived there for 2 years and once Arium took over it was a downward spiral. First they mislead us on move out procedures and later insisted we pay beyond our end of lease date. Once we moved out, we thoroughly cleaned the apartment and were eventually charged for basic required upkeep. Several hundred dollars in paint (which at best would be a few scuff marks and maybe some minor scratches) and carpet replacement. The carpet was used when we moved in and after 2 years with us needed to be replaced for a new tenant anyway. We were also charged for bed bugs which we have never had and some how didnt follow us to our new apartment. These people are dishonest, rude, and will milk you dry with move out fees if you let them. My suggestion. Avoid ANY Arium owned complex. Unless you hate money and love being disrespected by snarky management.
I have lived here for the 3 months and I could not be happier! I have seen so many enhancements to the community in such a short time, the new pool furniture is great. I love that they have valet trash and the pet spa, it is a great amenity. Great location, we are close to everything. I have not had any maintenance issues and the staff has been super friendly. I will definitely recommend Stonehenge to all my friends.
Ive lived at the property for a little over 2 months. Location wise, amenity wise Im very impressed. When I originally moved in the office staff was VERY on point, sufficient and courteous . They were bought out and office staff changed. New property manager is awesome!
I have been a resident here for 3 years and I have to say that the community has never looked better. New management came in January and has made many necessary improvements, painting the outside of the buildings and removed a ton of dead trees. I have been impressed with the maintenance and office staff as well, this was a change from the previous management. I had actually given my notice to move but decided to stay due to the change.I look forward to living here many more years, great location.
I just relocated from Virginia and the ladies in the office made everything such a smooth transition! Jessica and Angie were a GREAT help with helping me prepare my move all the way in Alexandria, VA. I love that they are renovating the property and adding upgrades for us. I was a little worried moving to a property established 20 years ago, but I must say Its a beautiful neighborhood and my neighbors are so friendly. I also want to compliment the maintenance tech that came by to make sure my dishwasher was working properly only within 24 hours of me calling the office. I do recommend this place for any one moving to Raleigh and looking to be in a great location!!
My experience has been great. Looking forward to renewing my lease so I can enjoy the gym the pool and the walking around this nice complex. I feel safe and secure as one can in these troublesome times.
I have been a resident at Stonehenge for many years and would like to say that I am thoroughly impressed with the new management. I know that they have made many changes and have received much push back from many of the residents, but I for one have seen a lot of these changes as needed and welcoming.First, the breed restrictions were necessary. As a dog owner myself, I stand behind their decision for the change. My dog and I enjoy the newly added agility equipment and the paw wash, which is super cute and convenient!Second, the valet trash I thought at first to be unnecessary but seeing how they are removing the dumpsters (which will look sooo much better) and after using it for a while now, I see how this is a convenient amenity.Third, the pool furniture....need I say more....beautiful!Fourth, they are great at keeping us informed and communicating. There are always events going on, from pool parties, pizza, food trucks, etc.In summary, Stonehenge Apartments is just a great place to be near everything in Raleigh. I love the improvements that are being made and cant wait to see what they will do next!
I have never loved a complex more! The property manager and all the staff are so sweet and truly make this complex feel like a real home!
AGPTL, stands for a great place to live, the Stonehenge Apartments. We have lived here for the past 10 years, it has been a great 10 years, we love it! Of course there have been improvements over the years we have been here, amazing improvements, still in progress. There are 3 designer pool areas, stunning. An in door basketball quart with an adjoining gym. A welcoming club house with a great pool table. A shopping center within walking distance with a Harris Teeter, restaurants, drug stores, muffin shops, tailor, seamstress, barber, a mailbox store. There is nothing you may need which is not within walking distance of your home. Close to major routes, 50, 540, 70, 440, there is nothing you cannot reach within 30 minutes or less. Surrounded by lovely residential complexes, you will feel you are living in your own home. The Staff is warm, knowledgeable and capable of serving a widely diverse community with residents of all ages and cultures. As for your best friend, my goodness this is the place for dog ownership, with a doggy spa, pet disposal bags stations strategically placed throughout the property, and great dog treats always available at the office, woof woof!
Signed my lease end of August 2017 with my pittie since they were one of the very few no breed restrictions apartments in Raleigh. Was happy with the decision even though my move ADDED to my work commute. NOW as of the sale of the property to new owners in January they have changed their policy - DESPITE my being informed several times that current tenants/dogs are grandfathered and can even renew. The new owners-management company have revered their policy and ALL CURRENT tenants with aggression breed dogs are not allowed to renew and must leave at the end of their leases.
The staff of folks that work here are caring, intelligent and exceptional! It feels as if their hands are tied regarding the repair of things... Took approx. 4 visits and a blown relay ( over the course of the whole summer) in the fusebox to remedy a failed ac unit during one of the hottest summers ever. Have lived here 8 years and regularly the cheap apartment blind used would fail and be replaced. Current management is wanting to charge to replace them. Overall a simple thing, brings down the appearance of the buildings in the long run. again I think the folks who work here are stellar. I think the are being held back by the corporation who owns the complex penny pinching policies. love living here.
One of my top picks in the Raleigh area! The management staff were more than accommodating and a pleasure to work with!
Parking lot lights have not worked in a month. My elderly mother fell and was injured yesterday. I expect a call or response today or I guess my next call will be to my lawyer.Update****. I spoke with someone at the front desk. They were nice and said a manager would call me. Never happened. It is now 3/31/18 and still no parking lot lights. Now the process will begin.
I have been a resident here for almost 4 years. At first, I loved it. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was great and I felt the rent was fair and reasonable. About a year ago (approximately) new management has taken over. Bad move on their part. We were given these trash cans outside our apartments with no explanation in advance. Later learned that this was a valet trash service that I certainly didnt ask for and it was going to cost an additional $ 25.00 when the lease is renewed. I also received a notice to bring it in at night and not leave it on my porch. I did so and received ANOTHER notice that I needed to put it out so my trash can be picked up. I carry my own trash to the dumpster and prefer to do so. Then was told by management that the dumpsters are going to be removed so we will have no choice but to use this valet trash service.Next problem: I was emailed a threatening notice that they didnt have my required renters insurance policy on file and that if I didnt provide them a copy of it, I would be evicted. I have had renters insurance ever since I moved in there AND provided it to management at that time. They also needed a copy from my vet of my cats vaccines and a picture of her. When I spoke with another resident about this requirement, she had not received any notice like that for her dog.Next problem: I was experiencing louder than normal living noise from my upstairs neighbors. They suggested that they come over at the time that I was hearing the most noise so that they could hear it themselves. The problem with this idea was that they informed my upstairs neighbors when they were going to be there, Needless to say, no noise was heard.Next problem: I requested to know how much my rent was going to be when my lease came up for renewal so that I could decide whether or not to renew. They said that they could not provide that until the lease was generated. Did not even provide a ballpark figure.Needless to say, I am not renewing. Most of these problems started when the new management came along. I feel that they are out for all the money they can bring in at the expense of the residents.
New management is horrible, the only time they be on time is taking your rent payment. The previous management always keeps the amenities clean (pools, gym...) and the new one does nothing about it. Pools are dirty, leaves all over at bottom and gym are out of paper towel for weeks, dead cockroaches are on the floor, the stairs for weeks and no body clean. And I bet a lot of residents had the same experience as i do.
Arium Management company is horrendous! Dont move here and make sure if you do, to read the lease in depth. Only good thing about this apt complex is the location.
Arium has made it a smooth transition between management and have been very helpful since. 10/10 hands down. Stonehenge Apartments by Arium in North Raleigh has to be the best place I’ve lived in Raleigh in the past 5 years.
Stonehenge Apartments was great with helping me get all set up in my new apartment and throughout the process! Would definitely recommend!
First week of the service and ValetTrash did not take are trash had to go to main office and complaining about it. Some of the rules doesn’t have any since such trash can’t be exceed more than 25lb so what should do now, buy me scale now what a Joke. If I broke glass I can’t put it in trash either all they do Is taking picture with cell phone to look for violation so they can charge people.. I rather take my own trash and not paying this company $25 extra to my rent piss OFF
HORRIBLE-Tenants constantly leaving trash outside their apartments & the office does nothing. We reported this to the Owners of the Property in GA and were told the manager would take care of it. We have lived here six years and this management company is the worst. The downstairs tenant will leave multiple trash bags outside their door when there is no valet pickup along other various household items which could be trash. Valet pick up is Sunday-Thursday and the downstairs neighbor will put trash out 7 am Friday morning and it is there until 6 pm Sunday Night. There was supposed to be a $50 violation fee to residents who dont comply. These people should be up to $5,000 by now. Lately the other two apartments in our section have copied their neighbor and left their trash out all hours as well. There is also a large compactor in the middle of the complex and on a Sat-Sunday you will see 100-200 bags on the ground which will sit there until Sunday evening. I inquired about exterminating and get no answer. This place looks like a slum. Management has the nerve to increase rent $140.00 a month after all this. Im counting the months until we are out. You deserve better. Dont waste your time looking here.
Theres new ownership and the first 6 months have been nice. Weekly food trucks are a nice bonus. One problem that has been plauging the neighborhood for a few years is a pretty bad bug problem. I hope that the new owners take measures against this problem, measures that the previous owners failed to address.
I was charged for new carpet for the entire apartment when my dog had never been upstairs. Worst management company ever!!! Couldnt even finish painting the front doors. Be careful here take pictures or everything when you move in. If not, they got you. Paid security deposit, pet deposit, and $15 dollars a month pet rent and was still charged $800+ for new carpet. Highway robbery, but what can you do because they will try and ruin your credit. Wish I could give 0 stars!!!!!
Management is an absolute joke. Weve been having a problem with our neighbor playing music too loud next to our bedroom for several months. We told management who claimed to have a 3 strikes and youre out policy. Since then weve contacted the police about the issue on at least 7 occasions, and informed management every time, and they have done nothing. After seeing that they are doing nothing about this we decided to pay the lease buyout fee, a ridiculous amount of 2 months rent ($2200), and move out so that well actually be able to sleep.Follow up: I attempted to contact Arium at the email the commented with, and the WeListen title was clearly meant as a joke, because Ive heard nothing and its been over a week
When I call with an issue, I dont feel like Im being taken seriously. I feel like my calls and concerns are bothersome to the staff. I dont like how I am received or dealt with.
Great amenities & super friendly and helpful staff!!
Horriable Management!! When we moved out we took two days!! Two days scrubbing our apartment cleaning the appliances.. we did not clean the carpet because we lived there two years with a dog and the carpet should have been replaced no matter what so why clean it.. they charged us for the carpet replacement.. (which was used when we moved in) it should have been replaced no matter what! Then charged us for bed bugs which we do not have at all!!! And they should paint the walls when all tenants leave and they charged us for it. They are a horriable Managment. I will never recommend them to anyone!!
I lived here for almost 5 years. When I first moved here the leasing office staff gave 150% to make sure residents were happy. New management came in over the past year and I did not enjoy living here. They have enforced a mandatory valet trash service which is $25 a month, residents that were already living here with pets that were considered aggressive were not allowed to renew, mandatory web portal used to announce updates (complex full of elderly residents), removed laundry facilities for a pet spa and new faces at the office every month. I put in my notice and 2 weeks before moving out they told me they need to enter my apartment to measure for new appliances. Could they not wait? I worked from home and they were forevering entering my apartment for various reasons. In the middle of August they needed to paint the front doors so our doors had to stay open for an entire afternoon. As I was moving out I got charged for stains on the carpet and holes in the wall. When I called and asked for specifics of my move out charges I was told the carpet was pulled up because they were renovating my unit. Sure enough went online and looked. They are renting my apartment for close to $250 more a month. Apartments are not outstanding as the deck wood is rotting, constant creatures coming in and thin walls. Only plus I have is the location. Literally can get to any part of Raleigh in 15 mins.
The worst management ever -I lived in this community for 2 years and changed 3 apartments due to my project extensions. They did not fine me when I moved in between the community and now I moved out of this community and they fined me saying curry smell in the apartment. It is clear if you are moving out then they see how to fine you and if they wont find any marks on carpet or on walls they simply say there is a curry smell and we got it cleaned and rented it out.It is simple if you are moving out they will charge in any way.The same thing happened to my friend also.Response -Please provide me your direct phone number Or name.
Brandon is the best!!! We havent moved in yet, we have worked with Brandon on two separate occasions, but the apartments are well maintained. There is plenty of lighting, and a warm, friendly community! We are excited about our move. This complex is the ONLY one that I have found that allows aggressive breed dogs which we all know is a bunch of baloney! The complex also allows you to break down your security deposit over the months, as well as their administrative fees. This seems like a great place to live. Theres a Harris Teeter, 888 Chinese (which is the best in Raleigh!), Outback Steakhouse, El Dorado (favorite Mexican restaurant), Wendys, Dollar Tree, McDs, Kroger, 3 gas stations, a urgent care, 4 gyms, and a few other bistros... all within a 2 mile range of the complex. Yup... I found Home!
Stonehenge was great for Seniors until the new owners decided to kick them out or charge them alot more! They use to have potluck dinners and family social events. Now the new owners are kicking everyone out or making them pay an outrageous amount to stay.
I would not recommend these apartments based on my experience with office and maintenance staff. The apartments are old and the rent is high for the value of the community. I paid $1060 a month for a non-renovated two bedroom apartment. At every lease renewal, they increase rent by at least 5%.The office staff was difficult to work with, and even worse the maintenance staff was incompetent (and usually negligent). Staci and Deborah in the office did not seem to think maintenance issues should be addressed timely. In one instance, I spoke on the phone with office staff multiple times and sent an email about a bird that was pecking into the siding and then started nesting in the attic space above my apartment. After getting unsatisfactory answers (Well send maintenance to take a look, or Im sure it wont be an issue), I spoke with Deborah in person. She informed me that her maintenance team could not get on ladders so there was nothing she could do, plus it is not a concern since a bird cannot get through drywall. I told her that I was not comfortable with a bird living in the attic space and pointed out that if a bird can get through siding it can most likely get through drywall. They still insisted there was nothing to be done.I had reported numerous times that there were issues with the installation of a toilet in my apartment. I reported that the toilet made loud squealing noises when flushed, and there was leaking and rust from the tank and bowl. Each time maintenance either noted they did not find an issue, or they did not correctly fix the issue, and I had to resubmit the same issue. Finally, my downstairs neighbor reported flooding into her bathroom. I gave approval for maintenance to enter my apartment and they said the fix was completed, but a couple days later they re-entered my apartment without permission and changed the locks because they had lost my spare key. I came home at lunch to metal shavings outside my door, the locks changed, and maintenance addressing a fixed problem. The toilet issue turned out to be a simple leak from a wax ring, which somehow maintenance never found in several months and numerous reports of issues. The lock change caused further issues - I requested to have maintenance reinstall the lock because it was not working properly. I watched maintenance this time, and saw that they had left a 1 inch piece of drill bit inside the dead bolt lock during the original install, and they had bent the door frame while installing the lock. I had to argue again with maintenance and the office to have a metal plate installed where the door was bent. Apparently, resident safety is not a priority. The icing on top was over a month after move out my roommate received a bill to replace the carpet, with no attempt made to patch or clean the carpet (The carpet lot has changed). This apartment complex will nickel and dime residents at every opportunity, neglect maintenance issues, and disregard resident safety.
Poor customer interaction when I called about the leaks in my Uncles apartment. Poor repair quality ( can still see the leak stains in the ceiling and awful paint job on the wall). No one checks the repair quality and provide any kind of feedback. Rent goes up and tenant concerns goes to hell.
I have leased with Stonehenge for almost 3 years now. The only reason I actually leased with them is because they were large breed friendly. Now new ownership has taken over and with no concern or regard for peoples lives have stated that any owner of a large breed (specifically Pitbulls would have to either move out upon the end of their lease or in their words (find another home for our dog). What an unbelievable way to treat good tenants. I never had any issues, my payments were always on time and never received a complaint about either of my dogs, by anyone. I merely asked them to consider allowing me out of my lease early so I can get appropriate enrollment for my childs school and for the simple fact they are basically ending my preferred time to move out by terminating my lease due to the new dog restrictions. They responded by letting me know I can leave when I want but there will be no consideration when it comes to fulfilling my side of the lease. Meaning they want their money. This has been a horrible experience for me all the way around and I can only hope that some day they are treated with the absolute disrespect and lack of empathy they showed me and all of the other great tenants they had for years. If I could give them a 0 Stars I certainly would.
I am still waiting on a reply from management to my request for an addendum to my existing lease agreement, whereby, I will heretofore be relieved of my $25.00 per month charge for the Trash Valet service effective immediately; pursuant to my non-participation, use, or interest. It is an outrageous imposition.
All of these negative reviews Im seeing are a little offputting. My wife and I have lived here over a year and a half, and our experience has been nothing but positive. Granted, a lot of these negative reviews seem to be focused around the experience after moving out (which we havent done yet), but everything leading up to that has been great. The staff is friendly, the neighborhood is quiet, the rates are high but reasonable given the location and quality of living.Ive had move-out experiences in the past that have soured everything else, but Im hoping that wont be the case here. Ill change my rating if so when the time comes, but everything up through now has been very positive.Update: Move out was smooth, easy, and excellent. Got our security deposit back without issue, and the staff sent us on our way with smiles on their faces.
These guys will nickel and dime you. I posted on my pre-inspection prior to moving to our new apartment yellow stain on carpet by coaxial modem port in the living room. They completely ignored it, and were charging me for full carpet replacement because of the stain that existed prior. Their argument was the previous tenants put they didnt have a pet when they lived in it, but this doesnt say anything why there was a yellow stain prior to us moving in. I sent emails proving my point, and they sent it straight to collections without any continuation or attempt to work this out.Note: I only lived in this location for 6 months, prior i was a tenant to a another apartment with Stonehenge.
They discriminate what the residents can do as opposed to the maintenance and they are inconsiderate to residents..Maintenance staff apparently get to break the rules and they are rude. The apartments are old and the new management is not friendly they are fake. I would not recommend this as a favorable place to live.
Great for me and my dog
I posted this on Facebook and feel the need to share here. The only good thing about this apartment is the location. New management that came in last year has ruined everything I liked about this place. They haven’t laid mulch or pine straw since they took over (after promising landscaping improvements), instead they updated the already updated pool. I don’t think they’ve replaced my air filter in the last 8+ months, they took away the dumpsters (which is a huge inconvenience and they didn’t notify us before it happened), and they implemented valet trash then months later notified residents they would be charging us for it. When they actually did make upgrades, they painted and didn’t put up wet paint signs, which I then got all over the inside of the apartment and all over my clothes and they told me I could that myself. I also have never had such terrible neighbors that play their loud music all day and night, and vacuum at 2 am.There are so many other options in this area, I would highly recommend renting somewhere else. I get not every place is perfect, but this apartment is far from from it.
I want to make sure people know how courteous, attentive and professional the entire leasing office staff is, especially Angie, who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with my solve problem. Now thats service! Thank You!
When this property was being managed by Drucker & Falkner it was a friendly environment, office staff were super and maintenance service was immediate. The apts are spacious with large windows. New mgmt came in (RAM) and they got rid of their maintenance staff, leaving only 1 effective worker and wait times dropped. New mgmt came in as I left (1 month ago) and are landscaping and are problably gonna fix the grounds up. However the space outside my apt was horrendous, worst in the sub-division, with old dirt, barren wooden platforms, a far cry from the entrance way in front of the rental office. They did institute a garbage valet system where a small garbage can is placed in your apt for pickup 5 days out of the week. I guess on the weekends you use the outside receptacles. No large items are allowed in the valet pickup. The catch is an additional $25/month will be attached to your rent!!! Just around the corner is a strip mall with grocery store, liquor store, cleaners, drug store, chinese restaurant, gas station, very convenient. The drawbacks are old appliances, dishwasher; fridge and electric stove. The rugs have to be constantly upkept, I washed mine every 3 months and vacuumed once a week. The HVAC vents havent been cleaned out in years, I suffered allergies for the past 2 yrs. For non-dog lovers, everywhere you look are dogs, some friendly, some not, and dog poop in the grass areas from those careless owners not cleaning up after their dogs.
