Apt hunting in the area. This is a nice community. Felt it was not as sterile as some of the others I visited.
The office staff is wonderful and the apartments are spacious. Decently priced for the market. Work orders haven’t been an issue but the maintenance staff seems to be pretty on top of it. Perfect location. Just can’t say enough good things.
Spacious apts. great rent price for the area its in.experienced zero problems and they have a nice pool.thinking about moving back.
The Leasing office staff was so Friendly and extremely helpful in our rental agreements. They offered great move in specials and the leasing agents gave exceptional tours. KeVan was the agent that assisted me and with amazing energy and fun personality has made moving into this complex not just pleasant but fun as well.
Don’t move to this apartments, within the first week of moving to this apartment I had my first issue which was water dripping from the celling I call the maintenance guys and tell them the situación and he friendly tell me that they need it to call a third company to fix it, and I understood I move in on May 12, 2021 which I won’t made the decisión because even getting they apartment was a waiting process of like 3 weeks, Today around 2:00am I’m hearing a sound and when I wake up I notice is raining and that there water dripping so I got and get a bucket but today there more water than usual dripping and some on the carpet which I’m sorry because they just move some people to the apartment underneath, I write this review because I’m just tired of dealing with the office and there waiting, Again I understand that they need to call somebody else but I tell them on may 12 and today is June 10 and they still haven’t fix anything. The worst apartment experience wish I can out photos
My boyfriend and I recently moved in. We came from out of state so we rely only on virtual tours and photos, the apartment we originally were told we were going to get got switched out at the last week due to water damage in the apartment. We already got everything sent to the original apartment and had to switch everything to the new apartment which took a lot of time that we didn’t really have since we were traveling from another state. When we arrived the apartment looked NOTHING like the photos, very dated! The second day staying in the apartment we then encounter ROACHES! You read that right ROACHES! Now we were left with the decision to stay in this dated and roach filled apartment or to take the hit and buy out of the lease and move somewhere else. Of course we moved, the only thing I can say that was good about our experience was the staff was very friendly and they actually ended up giving us a full refund (if I can figure out how to reverse my money order). Stayed for 3 days and it was totally not worth it!
WE MOVED MY GRANDSON IN. VERY NICE APT. HIS FIRST PLACE WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM.
I am impressed with how they are covid conscious. I have toured a number of places that werent really caring about social distance. I asked Chelsea about a thousand questions and she knew the answers to every one. They are very thorough with the leasing process.
I have tried for two months to contact the leasing office. No one answers the phone and the recording is a continuous broken loop. If the people that live at the facility have this much trouble reaching someone, I truly feel sorry for the residents. The website offers nothing about the lease structure so the only way to find out about leasing is to reach someone, and apparently they do not need renters.
This place is the worse place I’ve ever lived. I been trying to get in touch with someone in the office and as usual NO ANSWER, when I did get through I asked Chelsea for Corporate number she gave me a number that transferred back to her. And was extremely rude & unprofessional...
Chelsea and Britany are the best.Chelsea helped me move here and I love it.So far so good am not complaining and my kids love it too.I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place to join us here. You will thank me later.
Been here since March. Maintenance is quick and the repairs are of high quality. Community is quiet and clean. We will definitely be staying for a few years!
Moving into Cedar Springs was an awesome decision for my husband and I. This is our first apartment and we had a lot of questions about our lease and our community. The leasing consult in particular was always very quick and thorough in answering our e-mails. Additionally, she recognized us and knew our names each time we came in and saw her. This seems to be a trait the whole staff has. They made us feel welcome and at home by knowing who we are and following up on things.
The new management company ruined this place. It was such a great place to live. Between no maintenance happening and the slim buildup in the stairs, you should stay away.
Great place to live! Cedar Springs are affordable and spacious apartments. Chelsea in the leasing office is exceptional. She took her time with us and was very professional. The pool is definitely a plus!
I have lived in cedar springs for 2 years and have what they consider a non-renovated apartment. The unit is beautiful and the finishes are still up to par for my taste. I think the community is a great find and enjoy the quite neighborhood. The office staff is always more than willing to help. I would reccomend this apartment community to anyone.
I have lived in this complex for almost 4yrs and I loved it! I loved the natural light, its spacious, and the location, but since Priderock has taken over the love I had for this place is no longer there. Maintenance is a complete joke, Ive been trying to get one of my appliances fixed for the longest and they just continue to close my work order as if its complete and then send me an email asking if Im satisfied!!!!ARE YOUSERIOUS?!?!?! Ive had my apartment flooded and the management team here wanted me to feel sorry for them and whatever else they had going on. I told the manager I honestly didnt care she dosent have to come home everyday to an apartment smelling like old swamp water with a dehumidifier humming all night. Im just over it, its not a horrible place at all, just disappointing.
Took a tour here and had great customer service from the leasing agent, Chelsea. Im not sure if I will rent here because the distance from my job is too far but if it wasnt for that, Chelsea had me sold.I toured a one bedroom and saying it has a lot of space is an understatement. The renovation is not very trendy but the size makes up for it. I think I would go for the classic style.
Excellent value for the quality of the units and especially considering the location! Management is easy to deal with, and my interactions with Chelsea at the leasing office are always pleasant. The number of grills provided around the complex is a great perk as well, I would be crushed if I had to give up that mode of cooking
My worst experience ever living in an apartment. I wished I had moved out in a good time when the place used to be such a nice and safe place to live some three years ago. some of those beautiful reviews out there, back in 2014, 15 and 16 were written by me; however, knowing how it is right now, i wished i never bothered. i left the place feeling sad, ignored and disregarded.
Ive lived in a few different apartment complexes and I can by far say this is the best Ive been treated at any location. They pay attention to detail and make you feel like you are always home. The management is by far the best Ive seen anywhere, they have helped me and my wife through any situation and concern we have had at all. They continuously upgrade the buildings with just recently new roofing, lighting and trash collectors. I would say if youre looking for a place in the area, this is it! (Ive read some of the old reviews, remember this place is under new management)
I living here since 2011 with Debra and our dog Teddy. We like Cedar Springs and do not want to move anywhere else. The office gives Teddy treats. Very dog friendly.
I just moved in and I love my place its nice and clean with a great view. Chelsea and the leasing team made this the best moving expereince for me. Thanks ! Great Management Team ! Chelsea Adams has been awesome during this past year during the Pandemic ! very helpful and understanding.
I love my apartment! No issues like others have had. I really like that they added more grills and my dog loves the dog park. Yeah these are older apartments but you get alot for the money
I stayed at Cedar Springs for one year to save money on rent. Its an okay place for the price. The location is perfect to everything. The apartments are a very nice size and the office staff was always very friendly and courteous. However, if youre looking for luxury, this is not the place to be. There is also a very bad roach problem especially if you live on the first floor. As with many apartments, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in nearby apartments.
We have lived here for 6 years, the new management is so horrible. They are not responsible at all, it takes more than 3 weeks if you request to repair something, sometimes no one ever show up to repair it after you told the staff in the office 3 times. Horrible, fake kindness!Be careful when you try to move out from that apartment, they will over charge you a lot of fees you dont know about. Before moving out, my mom asked staff her name is Chelsea to inspect the room, she told my mom everything is fine, we only need to pay $40 for the stove repair, we will get our deposit refund in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, it turns out we didnt get our refund, instead we need to pay over $500 fees to the management. So ridiculous!!! As you can see in the photo, they charged us for refrigerator cleaning fees $75, Bath tub cleaning fees$50, Stove cleaning fees$70. I called them ask for the answer why these cleaning fees so expensive, in previous management they wont charge us for a penny, they take care of everything after you left. Now the new management staff said its very nasty, resident should pay for it. Then why dont you tell us earlier, we wont pay that much for the cleaning fee, we would have hired a professional cleaner to clean our 2500 square feet house for only $250, how come 3 items in an apartment will cost over $200. Unbelievable!!!! The staff is such a liar, lied to you first everything is fine, then charge you after you moved out. I said i wont pay for it until i get invoice that shows the cleaning service charges. She said its fine, it will go to debt collection company if you dont pay it. What a threat! Of course I know that will hurt my credit if the balance transfer to the debt collection company. Yes, I will pay this balance, but just want everyone who try to move in a caution, better find some other communities, they are much better, cleaner and nicer! So in total we give up $1166(one additional month rent)+$200(Deposit refund)+$500(cleaning and repair fees and charges)=almost $2000 to get out of that apartment.By the way, with this new management, the fitness center is always in construction, if you are a gym fan, better get a membership in a fitness center add $90 fees to your monthly expense!Sweep the outside floors by yourself, no cleaning people will be hired by the new management. All in all, horrible experience and horrible management ever! I miss the previous one!
Really nice facilities and great service. Looking at the negative comments, Im sure that the quality of the experience varies depending on your neighbors, but I think thats beyond the control of the management. I have never had an issue with bugs or maintenance in my apartment.
Thank you for helping me find the perfect place for me. Its so quiet but close to everything. Been here about 4 months now and no complaints. My son love waking to goodbeery to get ice cream and play in new play ground. I did find some problem with maintenance but it was fixed the same day.. Hope that the pool open soon it looks beautiful
Cedar has been my home since 2014. I moved here thinking it would be a cheap place for a year but Im still here. One reason I havent moved is because of the privacy. My apartment faces the pond and its considerably more quiet than other apartments I have lived in. Granted, I am on the 3rd floor so upstairs neighbors are not an issue. There are lots of trees here which can bring debris into my stairwell but the vibe and privacy they create makes it ok. Nothing a broom cant fix.I pay less here to live close to downtown than I could find anywhere else near by. My commute is less than 5 minutes. My apartment could use some updating but for the money its a steal. My personal experience with the office staff has always been pleasant and the maintenance guy who lives here came to my place after hours to fix my garbage disposal. Chelsey from the office delivered a package from the office to my apartment on the 3rd floor when I was coming home late for work. I feel like the staff really cares and to me that goes a long way.No apartment is without issues but in my opinion Cedar is one of the best valued places I have seen around here and youre not treated like just another tenant. They always greet me by name and remember little things.
Im honestly surprised to read some of the reviews below. Ive been living here for around 4 years and its been a great experience. Chelsea is amazingly friendly and maintenance is on point. I recently had an issue with my toilet (lets face it, all apartments, no matter how nice, have a glitch once in a while), and Fred was at my apartment within 10 minutes from my call. He fixed it in a few minutes and even offered to take my trash to the dumpster for me.I feel super safe here as well. Sheetz, Circle K and CVS are a 3 minute walk. Its also tucked back in an area that makes you feel you are not too separated from nature, yet still in the middle of town.I really love it here and would recommend it to a friend.
Love cedar springs my home but management is not like the one before needs improvement.
By far the best management and staff Ive ever dealt with at any apartment in Raleigh. The apartment itself is comparable with anything in the area. But the staff was my deciding factor in living here.
It doesn’t take long to learn what this company is about Brittany seems border line schizophrenic new guy doesn’t speak english who knows what the rest of them do pretty much seems like a free for all I see there’s security now but your grass is starting to look like a jungle the property really reflects the company and the people working for them what you see is what you get
If I could give this place 1.5 stars I would. As I feel like that would be more accurate than a 2.The complex is in a nice location and the apartments are a decent size. Like many other apartments the walls are thin. Like in my room at night I can easily understand whatever conversation my neighbors are having. Others have noted a bad roach problem, which I agree with. The current management company (Priderock Capital Management) leaves much to be desired. It’s clear the assistant community manager (Nadine L)doesn’t have a strong customer service background so if you have any questions/complaints/concerns speak with the leasing agent who will treat you like a resident and not a thorn in her side.Maintenance is slow. Not painfully slow that you’ll want to resolve your issues yourself but still enough that it bothers you. It doesn’t help their case that the old company had a 48 promise where they would at least talk to you about your requests if it couldn’t be resolved in two days. The work that they do is good though. The management company is renovating some public spaces like the gym and added a children’s playground. But with so many animals in the community it’s a shame they aren’t doing any upgrades to the dog park (or at least filling in the gaps under the fence) or changing out the tissue thing waste bags with more sturdier versions.Tip for any future resident: speak/post in a public setting for the leasing office to take you seriously. I went back and forth with the office about an issue ever since they took over. 5 months later my roommate posts a review highlighting the issue and it is suddenly resolved that week. It’s a shame that they won’t take you seriously unless you post online but apparently it works.
We have lived here 2 plus years and we have to say we are truly disappointed with the new company that took over this past summer. So many factors that we have brought to their attention that have not been fixed. Like the doggie pick up stations are overflowing with bags from the residents that choose to pick up after their pets. No bags supplied by the community. Our mailbox key was changed over after they purchased the units, the mailbox would not close and said the post office deals with them. The very next day the bolt on the door was so over tightened that we couldnt get into our box. They decided to change water companies after taking over without informing residents until they sent out bills for water during the transition. Our rental was towed off property by another resident calling it in, the office claims to not have a clue. This was a place to call home with the old management company.
Poor Management theyll just blame it on something else it seems like something else until after you move in
Really nice good looking apartments. i enjoyed my time staying here, but really had trouble dealing with Mrs. Sara every time i would come to the office.
The Lawrence feels more like a house than an apartment. I love these apartments and I think the new management is doing a great job!
Car was robbed, a month later apartment was robbed as well. Not a safe place to live. Decided to move out of the place as soon as possible. Management didnt care. After complaining about the bums living behind apartment. Nice during the day and just scary place to live at night.
Management is horrible. Never take care of maintenance request. Charged unnecessarily $200 for a small scratch in the kitchen counter top during move out.
I Have Been staying at Cedar Springs for 8+ Years on and off. I have seen management come and go. So Recently they have changed management, prior management did Really Well I cant lie!!! But now...I can’t deal!! I must say I DO NOT like the changes they have made. In the Few months they have been in works I’ve had more complaints!! I’m still disgruntled over a extra fee for trash removal added onto my rent that I didn’t even vote for. No drop box for rent such a inconvenience if you work a regular 9-6 and you get off and the office is closed right along with the banks so you go to pay online where they tag a $20 dollar convience fee on !! Also As we speak I’ve just had to leave a voicemail tonight on there answering service because I got a surprise on my rent a sewer bill a $110 dollars “surprise!!” It looks as if They May have charged me for a water bill from May-Dec. why in the world would you add Your residents water for 6months together!!! Especially to be due around Christmas!! It should be broke down monthly like it’s been !! I plan on moving I really do. If I have to resign my lease in 2018 because I can’t find anything that I LIKE I’m going to be sad!! The rent continually goes up. You think they would be able to give THE residents who been here longer a A BEtter price but nooo they hike it Up every time u resign. Heck My kitchen is not even completely upgraded. I know that I’m definitely going to move 2019 !!! Period.the list goes on and on with this place🙄🙄
Over all its nice stayed there for a year..... But lot of cockroaches..... Calm and safe small community
I stayed in Cedar Springs and when I say it’s not what it use to be it is horrible in this neighborhood you are subject to get robbed the management is horrible the buildings itself is filthy dirty dusty spiderwebs everywhere and I remember a few times I was walking down the steps from the 3rd floor there were big spiderwebs on every corner I turnt I would constantly get my broom to knock the spiderwebs down because the spiders were waiting to land in someone’s hair ewwww the water bugs are horrible they literally be waiting at your door to barge into your apartment there is trash everywhere it’s just ghetto and nasty the apartments are overpriced the upgrades are horrible and still look ancient it’s just not a good community please look elsewhere trust me you can find a way better apartment and community for way less price and a better management please don’t fall in the trap the ghetto trap and if you stay there now you better run
Chelsea is awesome
I’ve been here for 4YEARS and NEVER had any issues HOWEVER the NEW management is absolutely TERRIBLE NOW! They’re priorities are all over the place... Maintenance takes 2+ weeks to fix an issue in fact I have a BROKEN refrigerator that’s been broke for 2 MONTHS! My sink has been clogged for 6DAYS!If I could give this place 0 STARS I WOULD!
Spacious and in a location that cant be beat!
Please Stay-Away from this Apartment . Very Bad idea !!! if you go there you will think thats it nice-Apt but watch your back from 1000s of Cockroaches !!!!-* Dont leave electronic Devices in your car such as ( laptop, GPS .. = will be goneInitially when you go to the office to sign less you will see Smiley-Facees all over their faces, but when you give you notice to move out they will act as they never saw you before !!! In addition, Management is very rude - they try to look for all possible ways not to return a single penny in your deposit money !while you there, they raise the rent illogical !! I started at $735. ending $1089.!!!!* Add to it apartment is full of cockroaches, everyday I had to hunt down cockroaches,it was a nightmare. Please stay away of Cedar Springs apartment.
This place is Horrible and is ran very poorly. If you are in the business of renting from a company who doesnt care about the safety of their tenants, this would be the perfect place. They are constantly hiking the prices on our sewer and water bill. They are very unprofessional. Their business hours are unrealistic for a working adult who gets off after 6pm.
Abnoxiously loud lady above us, the gym is disgusting and never cleaned, dog poop everywhere, and did I mention the roaches? Try your luck somewhere else.
I love my apartment
Best pool in raleigh
I did not write a review
Very bad rude Management !!! please stay away !!! nothing good about Ceder spring, I feel sorry for my time there !!!!
