Do not rent here unless you are okay with noisy neighbors because management does nothing unless they like you, you don’t mind a messy community that only gets cleaned once a week, you are okay with outside neighbors blasting music from their parked cars or garages, maintenance that put bandaids over issues in your so called “luxury” apartment, a gate that never works and doesn’t really secure anything, a pool that is open sometimes that everyone outside of the community can also enjoy. These positive reviews are surprising because I wish I lived in the same community and had the same treatment from the management office these reviewers are describing. I have been a resident almost 5 years with both management companies and this community has declined a lot and I will not renew my lease. Britney is the only manager I actually like who at least shows a bit of empathy whether she cares or not. Everyone else in the management office treats me as if I’m a nuisance for wanting peace where I live.
Just finished living there for 3+ years, and I would highly recommend it! It’s a great location, value, and the staff is excellent. Charita and Britney stand out, but the whole team is great, including the maintenance staff. They didn’t raise rent during covid, and it honestly felt like a family at times. We only left because we had a baby and needed to be closer to family.
I just moved out after living there for a year, not because I wanted to, but we were going from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom and they had none available. Theres no such thing as a perfect place, but is this location has by far been my best experience dealing with an apartment complex.PROS:Cheaper than just about everywhere else in Raleigh.Gated community.GREAT team in the office, and maintenance.CONS:Bugs.Getting delivery is off.So to explain it more in detail. This is one of the cheaper apartments I could find, while not feeling like a cheap apartment. Sure, we could hear the kid above us stomping around but that comes with apartment living. This is the first apartment I have lived in that the AC didnt go out once or twice. Everything is kept neat, and the few I talked to in the community were very nice. The community is gated which is nice, but the code box is in an awkward place, which means if you ever have food delivered expect a call while your driver tries to figure it out. We also had an issue with our particular address not showing up right in the GPS and taking our delivery drivers to the wrong place. One of the things Im most critical of with apartments are the staff. I have been burned pretty badly in the past, but Brentmoor went above and beyond. The office staff are super friendly, and very helpful. Sure there were a few things that needed to be corrected but everyone is human and they were quick and diligent in correcting any mistakes which is more than I can say about past apartments. The only negative thing I have to say about the apartment is that there were a lot of bugs, particularly german cockroaches. I know that comes with city living, but my wife was virtually bug bombing our apartment from day one.
Brentmoor! The best apartment complex ever ... I felt right at home from the time I moved in until now . The approval and move in process was so smooth and easy .Charita the apartment complex manger was so easy to talk to and very quick to respond to all of my questions . My apartment was beautiful and spacious. The community itself is so clean and beautiful and I love that they actually make you feel like your apart of something they have all types of holiday activities and contest and they include you pets in different things which is awesome. I could not have chosen a better place ! Come to Brentmoor you will not regret it !!!
Since my sister and I moved in here in July we have been highly satisfied. The office has made my move so much easier and any problems/questions I’ve had they made sure to respond at a quick reasonable time. The apartment complex itself is beautiful as well as the amenities. The apartments are very spacious and very home like. I would recommend moving here if you want peace of mind. 😁
This is my second year living here. I have a great price for my apartment. It is 10 minutes from literally everywhere. I do not have many issues here and plan on renewing my lease again. I don’t think I could find a better apartment for what I am paying. I would like to upgrade my appliances from white and wish the gate would remain working would be my only suggestion. Other than that Brentmoor is a friendly great place to live.
I enjoy living here at Brentmoor. My husband and I have been living here for a little over three months. So far we have had an amazing experience. Anytime there has been an issue, the staff responds and takes action immediately.
Charita and her entire staff are wonderful to work with, have been providing services for Brentmoor and Bell Partners for many years. The staff is very professional, personal, organized, and communicates well.
Charita Thompson and your staff,I would like to say it is a pleasure to renew my lease again with you guys for another year. It has been 3 years since 2018 since I have been here and I am really please to be a resident here at Brentmoor Apartments.Kind Regards,Craig Boston
Im a new resident and pleasantly pleased with my experience here so far. The grounds are clean, the units are immaculate, and the staff is professional. I feared the rifraf from across the street would be an issue, but attentive staff and functional gates seem to deter non-residents. Im extremely surprised at the fact I cant hear my neighbors through the walls or on the walkway. I havent lived in an apartment in over 12 years because I value my privacy. Here, I almost forget Im in an a apartment.
Brentmoor apartments is an ok place. It is decent and livable. Clean for the most part. There is landscaping and pest control in place. Could use some updates of appliances and safety of gate. It is accessible in all direction. It is all about what you like dont look for luxury look for average. Also I think Brentmoor need to spell out to their residents exactly what they will be paying for I guess be more specific. Keep the confusion down. Overall Average.
I loved this place. I planned on renewing our lease next year since we have great experience here even with the pandemic.
Definitely worth the rent, from staff to groundskeeping to valet trash and major bonus that I’m in the heart of the city. I have a loft unit and I see why these floor plans are never available, beautiful view of downtown right from my living room.
Love this property! Courtney and her staff are always kind, professional and treasure their residents. Beautiful property and close cto everything. Their Regional manager Kim H. is great! We love them.
They are very comfortable and cozy apartments, the outside area is clean and organized, the neighbors are very friendly and respectful and the treatment for tenants is very special, this place is also very safe I feel very happy to live here with my family
It was good living here, not as many insects as there are at alot of apartments. Nice having a car wash area. The gate gets stuck a lot, so anyone can drive in most times. They charge when youre moving out, no matter how much you clean. I think its a lot of apartments though, but it still needs to stop. The pool is really nice, and the sauna was awesome! I wouldve loved to stay in one of the loft apartments, but they werent available. The walls are thin as well, you will hear your neighbors dogs. Other than all this, its ok.
I used to love this complex, but some things have gone downhill!! None of the entry ways are cleaned, there are spider webs and stuff just hanging off the walls. Things are being stolen while living here!! I used to like this place, but no more!!!
They lost 1 Star for their overall poor communication. One example: I called and emailed several times asking why the pool was not open or when it would be open just to be ignored or told that “we would be getting an email about that”. I’m furious that the pool has remained closed ALL summer with NO modifications made for residents. I understand that COVID poses new problems; however other apartment complexes have adjusted their pool hours, put limits on the number of people, added additional cleaning measures, etc. to make it work for their residents. I STILL have no idea why they refuse to open the pool. Seems like pure laziness to me. The pool gates are all locked, so we are not able to use the grills and it is harder to access the mail room. The gym is also closed without any mention of its reopening. It’s beyond upsetting. We have not had a deduction in rent or anything to compensate for these problems. They lost an additional star for not working with us when we wanted to transfer to a bigger apartment. My husband and I called after finding out we were newly pregnant to get a two bedroom. They wouldn’t waive ANY fees and we are forced to stay here with a baby until the end of our lease and then we will look elsewhere. I was hoping for better treatment from a place that we’ve lived in for several years. I’m disappointed in the new management. They seem cold and not sympathetic to the residents. The only reason brentmoor has three stars is because of the experience I had before the new management company took over. The office staff used to be friendly and accommodating.**UPDATE: after posting this review, the apartment management sent out an email detailing the rules for the reopening of our pool. I’m happy to see this, and willing to change my original review of three stars to four. I think it’s silly that the grills and the gym are still closed, though. **
Wonderful community with an excellent staff who is always friendly and accommodating. Great location within minutes of everything in Raleigh.
Ive lived here for over 5 years and I can honestly say that I am so disappointed in the complex at this point. When we moved in, it was quiet and well kept. The management was polite and attentive. The gates worked. The complex was clean and well kept. Fast forward to about a year or so ago when new mgmt (Bell Mgmt) came in and it drastically changed. I feel like Im a bother when I do get someone on the phone in the office and the noise is ridiculous. I dont bother complaining anymore because nothing changes. The people who move in dont seem to be screened very well anymore it seems and I dont feel safe going in or out of my Apt at night. I plan to move when this lease is up. For over $1100 a month, I expect more. And they definitely are not luxury apartments any more.
I just moved after living here in one of their one bedroom units for a year. My only main reason for moving was that I wanted more space and they didnt have exactly what I wanted in a 2 bedroom floorplan in my price range. Never had any issues with my neighbors being noisy. Nothing needed to be replaced or repaired in my apartment for my entire time there. Most of the residents seemed friendly. Only downsides were the gate at the front was just left open about half the time, and there were a couples shady residents. Overall, I was happy with my stay there though!
Very friendly while youre a resident there, but beware of the charges youll receive once you move out (that are out of your control). These apartments definitely arent luxury apartments, so they need to remove that! ASAP! The only reason Im giving two stars is because of Sheila, I really liked her. Im just glad my Brentmoor experience is over and done!!!
I absolutely LOVED staying in Brentmoor! I lived at the pool everyday ☺️ I stayed in a 2 bedroom loft and I miss my old apartment so much! Great Community, Great staff! I felt very safe there and I highly recommend staying there!
Do not move here. I have been here for three years and recently the conditions on the grounds have been declining. I have continually had issues with other residents allowing their dogs to poop throughout the complex. I have had poop left on my patio area as a result of dogs being off lease. I was disturbed and disappointed by the reaction of my needs by the complex. I love the location of this complex but I am not pleased with the customer service and the upkeep as of late.
I have been living here for almost three years. We were bought out by Bell Properties this year and I must say this is the worst I have seen the property. The grounds look terrible ! Never had that problem with the other company. The staff in the office are not helpful. We have mom community events! Just a lot has changed for the worst !
I have lived at this apartment complex since 2011, our lease has run out this month and we need to stay another month since the the home we have purchased wont be delivered until the end of this month. Brentmoor wants double the amount of rent we have averaged for last 2 and 1/2 years.*They have not fixed the damaged floors for over a 1 full year,*Mens room has not had paper towels for over 3 weeks*Mens room has a busted soap dispenser for 2.5 years*Huge Roaches outside the door*Small bugs the silverfish on the counters, floors all year long.Decks and passages are paper this and you can hear/follow the footsteps of residents all the way out, not to mention they are just wooden slats.Security gate is a joke some times it takes them month to repair it.
I am a current resident. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. This apartment isnt bad but its definitely not luxury, which is what they advertise and what my expectation was for the amount you pay for rent $850+ for a one bedroom with no utilities included. All of the appliances are dated, the kitchens are very small and have little cabinet/counter space. The gate access is nice but you need to purchase a $40 remote in order to avoid the hassle of driving around the whole parking lot. The gym and laundry center arent 24 hours which is a huge downfall being that I work odd hours. The movie theater and business center are only open when the office is open. The parking situation would be better if they assigned spots, many times I have to park and walk a distance due to there not being enough spots on my side of the lot. Its overall a pretty quiet place other than the pool getting a little noisey with kids but thats to be expected. The maintenance does well at getting things fixed right away and most of the office personnel are very nice. But I dont think I will be renewing my lease when it is up, because I feel like I can get a lot more for what I pay now elsewhere or pay a little more for actual luxury.
I lived at Brentmoor for a little over a year. Literally the day I went to turn in my keys was the day the complex was being turned over to a new property management company, so I dont have a lot of experience working with the new property management/maintenance workers. I was in a 1 bedroom unit on the second floor and in the middle of two other units. I cannot begin to explain how many noise complaints I had to file against my neighbors. The walls are SO thin and you can easily hear the people next to you and above you. Most people that I met living in this complex were extremely rude and did not seem to care if they were loud and disruptive all hours of the night. Personally I didnt feel extremely safe living here alone. There was a break-in right below me one night and me and my friend (who lived across the hall at the time) called the police. I really thought that the complex would have sent out a message explaining what happened, since I could see there were multiple people that witnessed this incident. The complex didnt release anything about it. The gate at the entrance is a complete joke and is always broken so it may as well not even be there. I had a few cockroaches in my unit a few times and depending on the day of the week I would have to wait a week before pest control could come to my unit. The maintenance workers (while I was there) were always nice and responsive, but most will say they didnt really fix the problem but rather put a bandaid over the problem until it happens again. These are nice apartments but definitely not luxury. I agree with other reviews when saying that they do increase the rate by a lot when its time to renew and they dont upgrade anything. Some of the units here are priced similarly to other complexes that are much nicer than this. If youre in a sticky situation and need a unit for short-term, this complex will do. If youre like me and want a more permanent place to live, and value peace and quiet, stay away!
Do not live here it is not worth the money. Your rent will start out low, and then they will raise it $100 in one year because that’s the current “market value” they also don’t really fix anything they just patch it up and hope you don’t notice it’s still broke. They never pick up the phone in the leasing office and the gate is always broke. The trash is always overflowing at the dumpster. I hate I renewed my lease for another year.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Seriously, I live here now and it’s terrible. The property managers are not very helpful and it takes days to complete a maintenace request. The walls are paper thin, I can hear our upstairs neighbors conversations. Also, they advertise they have a sauna... NO THEY DONT. It’s ALWAYS broken. I complained about it multiple times and they said it’s fixed and it never worked. The property managers, Britney is nice sometimes but her attitude comes off passive aggressive. The only reason I’m staying is because I have to until my lease ends and it’s cheap. But you get what you pay for. Anyway, don’t do it. I would not recommend it to anyone unless you’re looking for a poorly managed, cheap, neighborhood.
Ruuuun!!! I soooo wanted to give Brentmoor a higher rating but if this rating is based on customer service, I have to be honest that the other reviews are correct. We only stayed here for 2 months. The apartment was nice but not luxurious or high end for what we paid. The administration was extremely poor. Their online system is not accurate. It showed one rate and when we paid it days later they gave us an email saying we were late on our rent. They then advised that was not the correct bill that the correct bill came out later. They charged us extra we paid and asked if there will be anymore hidden surprises. Upon moving out we had the apartment cleaned before we left and they took our deposit and charged us a cleaning fee. My advise would be to one look for another place that does not make money off of people unethically or two take lots of photos and document everything via email so you have proof. The reviews indeed were true the manager Kimberly and staff Britney play a condescending passive aggressive role.
Just moved into these apts a few months ago. I love the location and everything is clean and well kept. I recommend it.
Brentmoor is a great location, the staff is very professional and does everything to help! My only issue with brentmoor is theyre not kid friendly. The amenities you can not really enjoy being that everything is only accessible during office hours. Ive had several complaints about my boys playing outside which has been annoying. Kids will be kids and you pay so much money over here for just about everything and you do not have the luxury of enjoying it. I work most of the time and its hard telling your kids they cant go outside being that if they breath wrong you get a complaint. If you have small kids I would not recommend living here. I was told it wasillegal to tell a potential resident that brentmoor is not kid friendly. Honestly thats been my complaint since we moved here. The walls and floors are very thin and could easily bring about a complaint depending on your neighbors. Good luck!
Hands down the worst experience I have ever had at any apartment complex. They fail to mention all of the miscellaneous fees youll be expected to pay after moving in. The people at the leasing office are either rude or extremely passive aggressive. The walls are paper thin. Residents are told to leave trashcans outside for pick up which attracts cats, foxes and mice just to name a few. Spending your money to live in this place is not a good idea. There are far off better communities to live in that cost far less.
Large expansive community in the North Raleigh area. Central locale to Capital Blvd and Inner Beltline.
I’ve lived in this apartment complex for almost 2 years. THIS IS THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX TO LIVE IN! Where to start? For one, they call this place “luxury “ but there’s nothing luxurious about this place! The Office staff is quite rude and very inconsiderate. Many times they have sent maintenance in my apartment to do work, after I had requested multiple times that I’d like to be in the apt when they arrive. The maintenance crew is very disrespectful to personal space and personal property. One came and fixed my clogged sink and left all the trash he removed from the drain in my sink and kitchen counter ( how unsanitary), another came to fix my closet light and turn on my AC to 72 and left it running (when I complained, his response was “sorry I was hot) uh excuse me? You don’t pay bills here to turn on my utilities and leave it running! Another time, the maintenance person came to my apt and just turned my closet upside down AND AGAIN. After complaining, all I for from Jenny ( office employee) was “sorry, I have no control over how maintenance behave when they enter the apt) ALL THESS OCCURENCES HAPPENED WHEN I HAD EXPRESSED THAT I DO NOT LIKE FOR STRANGERS to access my apt WITHOUT MY PRESENCE.Each time I’ve emailed Kimberly(manager) about concerns, she’s always nonchalant, condescending and passive aggressive over the phone. SHE BEHAVES HAS IF ONE IS BEGGING TO LIVE THERE AND SHES DOING you a favor by letting one stay there... yet one is paying for over $800 monthly(If you get lucky she might reply to an email with a sorry appology but often she doesn’t! Each month we’re charged for vallet trash and at times the trash doesn’t even get picked up! What’s the point of paying for something and not getting the service. During winter, they barely put any salt on the ground making it a hazard for residents driving/ walking in and out. THE GATE SECURITY IS A JOKE! Most of the year the gate is broken which allows just anyone to have access. In the car wash area, the hose is always Malfunctional, the car vacuum will take your coins and there will no suction. At times the dumpster gets so full and stinky, attracting all types of rodants. Using the laundry room is another dilemma. The gate pool closes at 9pm which makes it very difficult to do laundry, yet the back door to the laundromat is open 24/7. This is the most stupid idea ever. Britney(office employee) argued with me one occasion that the laundry mat door is always open... I guess she expects me to climb over the gate, and walk to the door to do my laundry. THE APARTMENT IS IN A GOOD LOCATION, and it looks nice and clean but THIS IS NOT THE PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE IN. The walls are so thin. You can hear your neighbors TV or alarm clock ringing. I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT FOR over $800 a month, they could give a better service. AND ITD BE NICE FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE NAME “luxury “ . THERES NOTHING LUXURIOUS ABOUT THIS PLACE... I’ve only stayed in the place because I didn’t have a choice. Most definitely I’m getting out of here in a few 🤮
I am more than a little late writing this review but I am looking for a new apartment and wanted to compare rates and saw that Brentmoor has just gotten more expensive. The only way you should be paying what they are asking is if they have gotten rid of the horrid water bugs that I had when I stayed in this apartment! Please make sure you inspect more than a little bit before calling this place home.
I have lived here for about 8 months now and I would definitly sign another lease here. The staff is very professional and friendly. If any new policies are implemented you will recieve a paper with the monthly newsletter explaining why. The maintainence team is very friendly, prompt, they work very hard and are great at what they do. The grounds are well maintained also. All around great place with friendly people living and working here.
If you can help it, DO NOT STAY HERE! Ive lived here for all of 4 months and the maintenance man comes into my house to leave a part for my dishwasher and goes through my cabinet and eats some of food, then goes through my bedroom. I tell one of the leasing agents up front and she says, OMG, Im so sorry. Well hes leaving anyway, he just put in his 2 weeks notice. It shouldnt matter if he hasnt put in his notice he should have been reprimanded appropriately. And for the rent to be this expensive the customer service is at best a 2 on the scale. The so called security gate is always broken and I can walk into my laundry room and it always smells like marijuana from my neighbors below me. This place looks too good to be true from the outside but now that Im here, I wish that I had gone with some of my other apartment choices.
Its a place to stay. I wouldnt want to stay here longterm. Brentmoor does all kinds of activities on a regular basis at the club house, but because the hours of operation only renters who are home early or dont work can partake of them. The biggest issue that I have experienced is because of the hours I cant get face to face time with anyone until Saturday. If we are busy on Saturday, then I can talk with anyone about any issue we might have. Recently the internals in our toilet broke. Its not leaking, but we have to reach in and manually allow the toilet to flush from the tank. I put in a work order online October 25th. Today is the 31st. Still have not even been contacted by the office or maintenance. I was able to catch a lady on Saturday who works at the office and was told since its a one bath, if I called and left a message on the maintenance line they are forced to come out. Nothing. We also face the expressway, which we can hear the hum of all the time. The pool is just on the inside of our building which is loud during the summer. If you plan to use the facilities for for laundry during the summer, the pool being open or closed affects the hours that you can get in. There is always trash laying around the dumpster, and because of this there are animals it attracts. Like I said, its not bad, but there are much nicer communities, its a place that might be good temporaryly if get a good price.
These are some really beautiful apartments.
Beautiful Apts in gr8 area of NC
Nice place to live! Nice staff!
It was ok was there on a work assignment
Nice place to live in, but watch for the gate door which can easily close on you hitting or damaging your car.
Very nice place
Beautiful comfortable luxurious organized and quiet
Excellent place
