I had to use this car service for a ride home from an appointment. I call the dispatcher has me on hold never returned to the line to tell me color of the car and license plate # I call back someone else picked up was very rude abrupt and unprofessional tells me he sent car 23 hangs up but provided no information to look out for I finally see a black car with TLC plate and its the driver the driver was very polite car was in decent condition but their dispatchers need some lessons in customer service would consider using them again if its just using the app took off 2 stars for poor customer service

This car service often leaves its customers hanging waiting outside when they dont have cars available, instead of just telling the customers that there are no cars available when they call the first time, also they need to get rid of those old busted cars and only use the newer vehicles that they have available. I got it one of their cars the other day and there was some old dusty 1989 looking car but I didnt want to be late to work so I had to take it. Then the driver was this older Dominican man who kept nagging me talking about getting vaccinated, I was saying to myself dude I hear enough of that on the news I dont need to hear it from my cab driver on my way to work 🤷.

Always there when you need them. They definitely are cheaper then uber or lyft.

The driver was good but dispatch is horrible. I called for a car at 2:30. It didnt arrive until almost an hour laterAfter telling me 15mins. The car was filthy. I would not use them again.

Called in the morning to see if I could make a reservation for that evening for an event I was attending. I was told no need to, just call 10-15 minutes ahead. Later, when I did that, I was told there are no cars, call back by the rudest and most curt dispatcher I’ve ever encountered. I took an Uber instead. Poor customer service. Won’t be calling this one again.

Growing up in LES most people use Delancey. For me not anymore. Dispatchers are rude. Will leave you on hold. Just called to have my disabled dad picked up. Not only did he leave me on hold forever when I called back they wouldnt answer. Service like this is why they will continue to loose business to uber and the other cab services..

I like them becus the cab base is extremely close to my house.. Plus they always take care of me, I always vibe with the drivers

Wonderful and trust worthy service. The driver was polite, courteous and the car was clean. If ever I am in need of transportation I will not hesitate to call them again.

Tried to get pricing from NY-Presbyterian Hospital to the Bronx. Dispatcher was really rude, first did not know where one of the largest hospitals in NYC was located then said it would be $80 for a 6.1 mile trip.I’ll take a Yellow Taxi instead, at least I know I won’t get ripped off

I work at BI and often call Delancey Car to take patients home. Every single time I call, I get the same exact dispatcher. He is rude, inconsiderate, and sometimes an a$$hole. You ask a simple question (ETA?/How much will it cost?) and this dude will put you on hold for 5-10 mins. REALLY? Cabs are never there when they say it is. My patients get fed up waiting, I get fed up going back and forth. Every call means a 10 min wait, at least. Id give 0 stars if I can. I hope that dispatcher learns some manners and how to work faster. For a big car service, having a dispatcher like that will kill the company. Will not call again, will not recommend. $hit service.

Like Around last night yesterday morning at 12:30a on Tuesday 6:12/19 I Called DeLancey car service. I got a call from the driver but when I happen to be downstairs he was on the other side in the parking lot of my building on South Street instead of the inside of the building where you could be pick up at the front Of 182 South st building I Was Not happy with this driver we kept going back and forward on the phone he ask me If I could see him in the parking lot me. those Word his words I called the dispatcher on the base to explain to him the problem with this driver he Never call me after I waiting on the phone with the base for a very long time the dispatcher told me that the driver has left he never called me back to tell me that he will send me another driver to take me to my location waiting for a long time on the phone was I very angry with this dispatch they need to better their service to be pick not waiting for so long to be a answer on the phone

Worst ride of my life !!! Thought I was going to die . Plus I was charged a 20% premium to use a credit card. Driver was not rude and we did arrive alive to airport ( EWR ) but would never use again or ever recommend

First time everything was great! Second time they left me waiting on the phone more than 15 minutes.. I hung up and called again they left me waiting again so I hung up and called a different company then on my way home they called my phone and I said for get it. .

Delancey Car Service is home to some of the kindest individuals Ive met in NY. Raphael is a kind hearted person that will take good care of you. I cant recommend their car service enough.

They failed to show up and I can prove it.. Up until now I was supporting this business, but no longer. Good luck against Uber, Lyft and Via who are cheaper than Delancey!

My dog and I got to and from the vet for a fair price. No other car service in NYC takes dogs that I know of. They were on time and polite and Im very happy!

Have used these guys for 8 years without much problem - the problems have started now that the neighborhood is getting busier. Keep up with the developments, or Uber will take over - which I really dont want, but thats the way the cookie may crumble..

Over charged me for the ride uptown had 2 small kids and my Im disabled so I was forced to pay icy cold with sleet. Still never paid so much going to the courthouse which is farther from my Destination...look for other car services if you can

Ive never had an issue with a car service so I was surprised by how rude their team was on the phone. Also the fact that the dispatcher hung up on me before I could finish asking one of my questions. I recommend not using their services as they have also been quite unreliable in the past.

They are great and completely reliable. I have been using them for 6 years, multiple times a week, and have never had a issue. Sometimes you cant get a car when they are busy but that can happen anywhere.

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!!! LIARS and THIEVES!!! Gave us a quote for $50+tip and then mid way thru the drive. The driver tells us its 100+. Literally stopped the car when we told him no thats not the price we were given. Left us stranded with our suitcases on the side of the road. Tried talking to the dispatcher but says they have no proof of ever taking us. And refused to take responsibility!!!!! Would give them zero stars if I could. This review is based on many times using this service - Utterly the absolute worse car service company in all of NYC! No, I mean zero, customer service. I dare you to call them and attempt to ask a question - they will just hang up on you. 50% of the times the drivers get lost. If you are in the downtown area and want a car service call New Day Radio instead. They are light years better!

The dispatcher is very rude and wont give you accurate pricing and he doesnt listen to what you need, thier cars always come late, they are often dirty and the seats are sticky, they dont have newer updated cars and if you order a car they will send a suv and charge you more because its a suv I tried explaining to them I dont want this I didnt order this but they insisted I pay the extra fee for a suv

I have had several unfortunate experiences with Delancey. Once, when I called a car for my mom, Delancey had nothing available. So, I asked the dispatcher since I had just moved to the LES and knew no one else, who else could I call? He refused to provide a name or number Then, last July 4, I was on hold for 5 minutes with a recording telling about what excellent service they provide, with no one picking up. And when I had to use a Delancey SUV to pick up a mirror and tote it home, the driver was careless, dropping my mirror and cracking it. This place seems to echo the famed old LES with a surly customer-be-damned attitude. I dont know that the other local services are any better. Perhaps they have this attitude because so few alternatives exist. Delancey, however, could surely use better customer relations.

Ive called this place twice for cabs, dispatchers have hung up on me (while I was mid-sentence) both times. I work in customer service, and the rule about not hanging up on people is a pretty basic one.

I was standing outside waiting for my cab for 7 mins and then some lady came down with her son and she just called them. She was spanish and another spanish lady came down waiting for the cab. They both took the spanish people and not me. They are racist drivers and this isnt the first time. Wont be calling them anymore, they have lost a loyal customer.

They get you there..the fastest routes even if it means local streets.

They usually never have cars available and they keep you on hold for soooo long!

Fly downstairs without waiting for my mom or the elevator???!!? Called to ask where my car went and dispatcher said 10 min was max time they wait and said they will c if they can find someone and just hung up without telling me if they coming or not. So 5 min later I called again and asked if they coming otherwise I will find someone else for my moms doctors appointment. The dispatcher said Good, cuz u never came CLICK and hung up. If all the other Asian car service were available I wouldnt even bother with Delancey Car Service. Dude, were giving u Business. If u dun want our Business or unhappy with ur job then Go Home and rot! Surprise folks, just do a Google search and you will find that Delancey Car Service is NOT the only car service in town! I have since removed this place off my address book. I have read bad reviews about them before but I figured they were fine with me and I have not gotten any bad experience from them yet so I continued to use them...until today. Well, no more. If I could give half a star for at least picking up the phone, I would give half a star. At the very least they could have given me a call back asking where I was. They must have Caller ID, everyone does nowadays or ask for my phone number. Instead of just leaving without any notice.

The most horrible car service experience. gave a quote when we booked and then didnt honor it. asked for $25 more once we were in the car or threatened to not take us. the staff is rude and unprofessional, especially the manager. no idea what customer service is. AVOID them at all costs.

Weird reviews here. My neighborhood service, been using them for over 10 years, never had any problem at all. Sometimes if the weather is bad they dont have a car for me, but 99% of the time they say 5 minutes and theyre there. Have never been charged more than a yellow cab would have been, and frequently it seems less.

I had to use this service last wednesday night for a trip to the ER - the driver was nice but when we arrived at the ER - my fare was $10.00 but since I had to pay with a card he enforced a minimum of $24.00 - which I think the legal minimum for credit cards is $10.00 - this was really upsetting experience - I will not use this car service again or recommend their service to anyone. Plus the driver did not drop me off at the ER - I had to walk a block on crutches to get to the actual entrance.

Terrible and rude. The manager screamed at me when I asked for a receipt and said some insult about me stealing money from people and giving to the government. Driver was great. Their management, dispatch and office are bad.

The dispatcher gave a quote and once we got into taxi the same dispatcher lied about not giving a quote. Doubled the price, and with a deadline of arriving at airport leave you with no option. Pricey, rude, overall awful service

The absolute worst experience calling a cab. Rude. Constantly being put on hold in the middle of my sentence to simply order a cab. Plus they have serious attitude problems. I wouldnt use them if they were the last taxi service on earth.
