They give fabulous hot towels & messages, they do about everything, there chairs are great. Lots of nail designs, experienced nail personalities for sure, I asked questions and hot the honest answers. Great Job .

First time at Express Nails and Ill definitely be back. Dalen did a fantastic job (my first acrylics since pre-Covid), and she is very sweet & easy to chat with. I just moved back to Minneapolis after being away for many years, and I think Dalen at Express Nails will be my regular nail tech from here on.Excuse the quality of the photos, its a bit difficult to take a good picture of your own nails...at least for me).

Came on to receive services as a new customer. I was super happy and excited bc of some of the reviews I had already read but firstly they were just rude. I really wish I had just got up and left bc they guy that did my nails did a very ugly job and did not accommodate me in anyway. I mean I never heard of not being able to use regular polish if u want to get rhinestone plus I have a photo of what I wanted vs what I rcvd. Highly disappointed. I spent 60 on a fill in. And one of my nails came off the second daySmh terrible services.

They get it right every time, sometimes with a little guidance if you’re really particular like me. But they don’t have any problem when you ask them to touch up certain spots. They want you to be happy walking out of there!! And you’re in and out so fast!Rithy did my nails this time and I was so happy! He’s really good and very nice and personable. Thank you!! Day before Mothers Day experience: Enjoyed the experience. Had a pedicure for my guy, gel manicure -volume eyelash package-and eyebrows. I do look amazingUpdate June 1st: still looking amazing today *minus taking the acrylic gel nails off due to nail growth* Ive lost a few lashes here and there however they still are full and I get multiple compliments on where I got them done, and that it was a little over 3 weeks ago.

Lida did a wonderful job with my pedicure. This was probably one of the friendliest nail salons that I’ve been to around the twin cities. She really took her time and made sure that I got what I wanted. This was my first visit here but I will be coming back to try other services too!

My experience at this nail shop is the best Ive ever had in any nail shop. And Ive been to plenty of shops. I came here with a picture of exactly what manicure I wanted and although they didnt have the exact powder color/shade that I wanted, one of the ladies took other powders and mixed them to customize the color for me. I have never been completely satisfied from any nail salon until today. (Dalene did my nails)Update: Ive learned to only come here if Dalene is available to do my nails. Shes the only nail tech here who does what I ask and the nails look flawless.Everytime I had my nails done by someone other than Dalene I absolutely hated them.The various pictures Ive posted are all done by Dalene. (I dont have the other nail techs photos as I was too disappointed to even take pictures).Im keeping the star rating at 3 because I believe other nail techs should be able to do just as good of a job.

Very nice space in the cut kinda right off university SE Mpls. First walk in expression for me was clean, smells like a salon of all kinds should. Staff members were nicely dressed and looked like professional nail technicians. I had a few services each time I went and two or three different Techs. Great job on my nails and eye brows were on point, and lashes were my first time. I couldnt keep my dang eye still closed if my life depended on it. Lol but she was very professional and did her thang. But next time I will not get the set I got. Loved them but to much didnt get used to them before letting them all fall out without filling them but next time next week will ask for a different look. Thank you for wanting my experience. Its always good to hear the good storys. I seem to read more bad then good at and place of business.

Ive been here for acrylics before and it was well done, but this time I asked for dip. My nails came out uneven. There is a visible color difference on some of the nails because the technician didnt wait till the dip dried before putting on the top coat. He was also very slow and didnt seem to know how to use dip well.. Some of my nails werent even filed evenly with the other nails. The most disappointing part is somehow the technician managed to glue the nail extension on one finger so that it is almost at a 65 degree angle on my nail. Its my fault for not asking them to redo that nail but it still seemed a little unprofessional to me. The service here is always kind so I still left a tip, but not sure if I will come back again.

I am really happy with my nail with the manicure :-) The staff were very kind and they tried to figure out what I want to do. I have never really satisfied with manicure I had in the U.S, this shop, especially Jin was professional. She suggested adding lines to my french nail and I really like them! When I visited this shop last year, I wasnt really happy with their service, but I will definitely do my nail at here again since they have new manager now.

Ever since I have moved back to this neighborhood I had to find a new place to get my nails done at. This place was a dream come true for me because it was so close and affordable. I only get acrylics with gel polish and every time I go in there I walk out with cute nails and a smile on my face. They always do an amazing job and always make sure to ask me if I like them and if they can fix anything. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The experience in the shop was okay. The staff was friendly although rarely did they speak in my actual direction and my gel manicure that I paid $113 dollars for broke off within 3 days. When I called to ask if they would make it right I was told then nail tech notion was on vacation.

I was a reoccurring customer at this location due to its proximity to me. I paid $50 for a full set and regular toe polish. I was rushed out the door and told my nails were dry after an hour of them being set and by the time I got home this proved to not be true leaving them messed up for my vacation. Furthermore, less than 24 hours later my acrylic ripped off and took my real nail with it simply by putting on my shoe and this was with the extra costing powder. I called to see if I could get some sort of refund or compensation because $50 nails should not be acting up like this, the manager and her co worker hung up on me not once nor twice but three times with completely no concern. I almost never leave reviews but I have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard as a paying customer.

When one makes an appointment for noon on Sunday when they open, one would expect to find the lights on and employees ready for the customer(s) who have appointment(s) on the books.At 12:05 I called to inquire why they werent open. I left a message on voice mail and left by 12:10. Later I got an unsatisfactory call with a weak Sorry. Most businesses would work with a client to make things right, or at least better. Not Express Nails. I have had pedicures there for years. No more.

I had Sam for a dip removal and dip manicure, and he was SO nice! He was extremely detail-oriented, polite, and professional. The atmosphere was similar to other places I had gone, but I did not have to wait and actually started before my appointment time. Even better, the prices were the best Ive seen in the area! They are nice but can’t do nails but DEFINITELY can’t do feet. My feet are still rough after pedicure, nails are uneven. 3rd time going here to different ppl each time but gets the same results.

Before I start, my dip manicure turned out well. The nail art was well done, and it will last a long time. Unfortunately, there were a lot of problems with the place.Its really dirty - the nail stations had debris because they didnt lay towels down while they were giving you a manicure, they just kind of push everything off on the floor. While I was getting my service done, a glass dish broke off the station, and had to be swept up. I hope they got everything because otherwise customers would have been walking on glass.Unfortunately, you also have to add an extra $10 to your service FOR a manicure (cuticle treatment, etc.) But, I dont think I actually got a manicure. My cuticles were pushed down, but I didnt get any lotion or hand massage or any oil for my cuticles. Im not sure that is worth $10.They also seemed very rushed for time, I had to ask multiple times for them to check my nail shape because it was lopsided. Prices were not unreasonable for a dip manicure with nail art, but I think its really dumb to be charged an extra $10 for basic cuticle maintenance.TL;DR - decently priced for nails, but beware extra charge for a manicure and unclean nail stations

Theyre super friendly and fast. Cheapest place to get a gel manicure! Its not the most upscale, but they are very efficient and nice. The only thing I would say is that they go so fast they missed some parts of my nail, but you cant tell too much.

I have been getting powder dip manicures at Express Nails & Spa since this summer. The location is convenient, the staff are courteous, and Ive been very happy with how my nails have been turning out. I get 3-4 weeks wear out of a powder dip color.

I have been coming to this salon for 4 years now and they always welcome me by name! I recently moved out of the TC and still drive out to go here. I go there for eyelash extensions and they are always great and move you to a private room to relax. Jin and her husband are great people and run a great salon!

Even if you make an appointment, walkins will still get serviced before you and you’ll be waiting for over an hour. This has happened to me twice.

Went there once to get fake nails and the service was great, no issues. Then, I called a week in advanced to make two appointments for my mother and me to get our nails done. The lady on the phone said the appointment was made, no problem, see you then. So we show up to our SCHEDULED appointment on that Friday, only to discover the salon was closed for Black Friday. No one there, lights off. No one called us to reschedule, no one told us we couldnt make appointments on Black Friday. Very disappointed, as we had a good experience there before.

Very excellent service. All of the workers were extremely friendly and made me feel like a top priority. Im new to the nail-world and they were very knowledgeable in helping me figure out what exactly I wanted! I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted to get top-rated nails for a very reasonable price! Im also a college student and the fact the prices were so wonderful, and it was close to campus, was really a big win.

I got dip done and the manicurist was not very quick nor did it seem like he knew what he was doing. My nails came out chunky and uneven- not worth the $35.

Arrived a few minutes ahead of time, nicely greeted, asked to choose polish and said someone would be with us shortly. Probably 5-6 others there already receiving services. At 12:15, after being ignored for 15 minutes, we got up to leave. “Oh, we’re ready for you now,” we were told by the employee who was working on one of the other customers. No other employee was available and not working with another customer already, so we said no thanks and left. Will not return. As important, poorly ventilated. Felt like we were sitting in a bottle of polish remover.

I use to go here all of the time because it was the closest nail salon to me, and I remembered that I stopped going because the acrylic nails never felt like they were properly adhered to my nails, and I was constantly worried about them popping off. That was a couple years ago, I found a nail salon an hour from me that is cheaper, and does amuch better job! 9 days ago I made the terrible decision to step back into this salon because I told my younger cousin that was visiting me that we would get our nails done. It was just more convenient to go here and I forgot why I stopped. We were misled on where to choose our colors from for a regular not gel set, but that is a different story. We sat down with this guy and I was letting her go first because she was my guest. He immediately started just naming off a list of things that would cost extra. Which is good to know, but I’ve never had a nail salon charge me extra for wanting my nails shaped differently. Not only was it extra, but on every nail station there is a printed off images of nail shapes and for example, a stiletto shape had a +5 next to it, but when the guy was listing off things to my cousin, he took out his case of drill heads with the same picture, but it said +15 instead. An extra $15 dollars for a different nail shape is just ridiculous, and it was clear that he was just scamming people by making up his own price. Both my cousin and I ended up with oddly misshapen nails, it was like they didn’t want to take the time to choose the correct size nail tip, so they forced ones that are too small to fit. I also have a lot of weird lumps on mine. I was just going to ignore it but then today one of my nails popped off. It didn’t break, the whole thing popped off in one piece 9 days after getting them put on. I had been trying to save money for her visit, so it was nice to finally treat myself also by getting my nails done, and one already broke. I’m so disappointed, and I refuse to return to this salon.

The pedicure was great, I upgraded to the one with hot stone massage. Although, they advertise it as $39 I ended up paying $50...I also got a full with gel which was $40. I include the prices of what I actually paid because it’s not advertised that way, a lot of extra charges. The nails are all different lengths. Some of my nails are more rounded on the sides and others bluntly squared. I would go back for a pedicure but not for nails.Bring cash because there’s a fee to pay with a card, though they will refund you the ATM fee.

The technicians are very friendly and have no problem changing something or doing something different if you just ask! I stopped by kind of last min, about an hour before they closed and they were the nicest most accomadating people ever! It was a way longer job than I expected and they still made sure to do a great job with no rush even when we went past closing time. I dont generally get my nails done so when I do I just go for the most convinient location but after the first time thats the only place I trust to get real quality pedicures!

I told the woman i wanted longer and she clipped it super super short... Shorter than my nail was before... I could have done this myself at home. I paid for a whole set of acrylics that look like my regular nails. They were fast trying to get me in and out quickly... Two people working at one time. My nails look like the 100 layer nail polish challenge... Super talk and thick. Im disappointed and didnt tip. Wish I could get my money back

Got my eyebrows waxed and she waxed half of my left eyebrow off. I have blonde hair but Ive been getting my eyebrows waxed for >10 years and have never seen such a horrible job.

I had a fullset done in here and they did a good job with a coffin shape. I just love my coffin shape. Reasonable price and friendly customer service. Also they do have a lot of color to choose.

Friendly but rushed

The lady doing my nails pulled my cuticle way too hard that it started bleeding and wouldn’t stop, and then tried to blame it on me having “shallow skin.” My nail hurts so bad and won’t stop bleeding and throbbing. I want a refund! Never going back.

I have been going to express nails for a while and I always leave happy. Rose is amazing, my nails always look good after she does her magic! Im a server and bartender so Im hard on my hands/nails, the gel never chips, the only reason I have to go in is when they grow out. Express Nail prices are also extremely reasonable for the area and the quality you get.

I went to Express Nails & Spa because I have friends that live near the U. Three of us went together, they gave us a group discount, and a discount for paying in cash. The service was great, friendly, and very professional. Cheapest price Ive ever paid for a manicure in the USA. The facilities are nice and clean, the staff are kind and offered us water or soda. If youre looking for great service at a great price, I definitely recommend them. I live in Brooklyn Park, but Im going to be driving to Dinkytown for my nail care from now on.

Went to get a gel manicure this afternoon and they overcharged me and my 2 friends by 5 dollars and made up and BS reason why. They also treated us with utter disrespect when we would ask questions about the pricing or how they were doing our nails. Do NOT go here, overpriced for nails that I could’ve done better myself

This business made me deeply saddened by the ability for people to run unethical businesses. I had some friends go here and pay 26 dollars for acrylic nails. When I went, they charged me over 30 dollars so I assumed they raised the price. When I was leaving they charged the lady after me $26. Then I checked and on their price sheet it said $26. When I asked why I was charged more she said it was because my acrylics were longer than my normal nails so they had to charge more. My nails were done extremely short. They charge people different prices and then lie about it. My nail polish has also chipped horribly and their top coat comes off completely. I will never give money to this business again.

Poor quality acrylic nails. Within a week all of my nails had broken off and they refused to do a better job and wanted to charge me $15 to repair. Plus my nails were so damaged I had to wait 2 months for my nails to grow back healthy. The location is great, but I am willing to drive further for better quality.

Went here for 3 months for acrylic nails and they continued to chip / break off within a week. When I finally switched to a different salon they told me my real nails were very damaged due to the poor quality acrylic job. I recommend going elsewhere.
