Oh my goodness! This place was absolutely amazing! I am so glad I followed the advice of my waitress last night and came here! They setup my appt quickly and easily on the phone then when I came in, zero wait time! I was seen on time and they did not disappoint. I had no idea how talented the nail artists are here so I came in with zero idea of what I wanted. The gentleman doing my nails didnt rush me and helped me find the shape I wanted and cute coloring ideas and designs. Literally the best nail salon I have ever been to. I cannot wait to come again!

You guys have to try this place! They are so good! I have never been to a place where they had so many choices of what to use in the water of your pedicure. It was awesome! They had a whole array of choices for you to pick from based on what you feel your feet need at that time. I highly recommend it here! Not to mention the champagne is awesome lol

We come here several times a year and they are always very clean, friendly and professional, even with my cousins younger daughters. They have always remembered us even after our very first visit. Pricing is very reasonable and they have a great selection of services. Weve never had a complaint and always recommend them to our friends and family. Great place! They have even started offering champagne drinks to top off the experience, its like a mini vacation right here in the city.

I have been going to this place for dip nails, and I will continue to go back there! The color selection is the most difficult part for me, because they have a huge selection of colors. I would recommend bringing in a picture of what you would like done. They have made me feel relaxed, and ensure that you leave there satisfied. I chose this bright color for spring, I tend to stay with the neutral colors. They’re the perfect length so I can still do things haha. I have done in for bougie nails before and they do not disappoint!!

I came here to get two nails fixed and they refused service to me claiming that they don’t fix other peoples work. I’m from out of state and offered to pay for my TWO nails to get fixed and they continued to refuse and claimed they were busy when I could see there were only 2 people there. Would not recommend

Incredible customer service. The first place I’ve been to in the city to correctly identify what I want. I got more of a natural look this time but when I communicated what I was looking for they gave concrete solutions. My nails and toes look great. Looking forward to me next visit.

The young guy did my nails a manicure and nipped all 4 of my fingers on the right hand!Not cool at all but the older man who did my toes did such a good job so Im guessing it just has to do with who is doing your nails !!

I can not recommend this place enough. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Me and my friend just walked in at 10am Saturday to try and book an appointment for later in the day- but they sat us down and were able to go do not only our acrylics but also gave us pedicures while we got our nails done. Seriously the best people and there is literally nowhere else that does nails this good. I will never go anywhere again.

I have gone here a couple times and was impressed by the quality of my nails. But today will be my last day at this salon due to their unprofessional behavior.It is my birthday weekend and I called 2 days in advance to make an appointment. I called for the right person and when I arrived I got someone else. I showed him the picture and then he agreed it would be $110. That’s fine, but what I did not appreciate was halfway through the owner tells me that my nails could not be done the way I intended.The owner then gets frustrated and he tells me now I can only choose 1 color. Then stops what he’s doing to tell me I can’t have wants and I need to wait another day for a different nail tech. After I’d already made an appointment. I was a regular and now will not be returning and will steer everyone clear!

I had my first ever dip power manicure done and my nails look super great. However, I left with 3 of my fingers bleeding. He blamed me for having dry cuticles. He didnt spend anytime on my nail or cuticles before starting the dipping. He removed the old polish and then went straight in, no pushing down my cuticles or filing. He also made me put my own lotion on after the manicure was over (not sure if this is normal? but all other manicures Ive had have put lotion or wax on for me). From what I can tell, this is a place to go for phenomenal nail art, but not something for the regular manicure. Very expensive for a nice but painful manicure.

First time at Crown Nails last week. Asked for acrylics with gel polish and matte finish, the technician suggested I try powder. Perhaps this is the norm for that kind of application, but the surface of the finished nails is bumpy and uneven, and the shade changes to a lighter hue as the nail moves downward, almost looking like the color is bleeding into the finger. The nails also started to chip and wear in less than a week; Im not finding equitable value for the $60+ tip I was asked to pay. I wont be back.

I switched to Crown Spa Nails after going to another salon for years. Crown Spa completely changed the way I looked at getting my nails done. They use high quality products, care about the condition of your nail and do nail art, not just a paint job. They also do a great job with shape! The pedicures are great too!

First time coming in two weeks ago and my nails still look fabulous. Tim did an amazing job. Definitely going in for a fill in....

The people are friendly and welcoming, however that’s where the positivity stops. The rest of my experience was highly disappointing. They sanded my nails for dip powder so roughly that my fingers bled. After that they also filed my nails so aggressively that skin came off the sides of my nails. I tried dip powder for the first time and wanted a pastel peach color. They gave me construction cone orange. WTH?? Never returning.

Tim, the owner of Crown nails has an extremely poor and UNPLEASANT attitude. The quality at Crown nails is exceptional, but 1.) overpriced & 2.) has horrible service. On multiple occasions myself and other patrons have had to deal with Tim feeling his entitlement to loyal customers overrides his responsibility to be a kind human being. This man is pushing 40 and throws tantrums when you don’t want YOUR nails that YOU-the customer-pays for done HIS way. On top of this Tim makes racial and sexual remarks that are inappropriate but he feels is okay because we are loyal customers. Tim’s wife Kim, is much more pleasant but docile and often overlooks his behavior because of his intimidation and foul attitude. I noticed Tim is much more calm and respectful when middle aged white women are present and is rude to his younger customers or customers of color. Overall not worth it if you like to be treated with kindness and like a valued customer.

I set appointments ahead of time for three people both manicure AND pedicure. I also asked if we could be done at the same time they agreed to that. I asked again just to have them confirm it could be done and they said yes it could. We got there on time and we were told to wait, and that we did not ask to get our nails done at the same time. However a girl that worked there said thats the one that wanted their nails done together and they disregarded her. They also tried to tell us that we didnt ask for specific things even though we did over the phone prior. An employee also lied saying they tried to call us all multiple times which didnt make sense because only my number was listed. I received no calls. We ended up waiting an hour for us to start and we did not get our nails done at the same time. I had a simple design and it was not done very well, I got dip on my nails, no extentions. When I was finished and left I realized there was still a thick amount of dip underneath my nails. I still tipped, as you should for any service, but they were rude and do not deserve your time as they will not take it very seriously and rush you out. Im disappointed in the service we received.

I would definitely come back here for gel nails or acrylics, they have almost every color in powder which means they can do ombré in almost any color which i love. ive included a few of the nails I’ve had done here. But i would not come back here for a pedicure. The two nail technicians that did my friend and I were not very good. They rushed, and didn’t pay very much attention to our feet and the massage was very rough.

I have been going to The Crown for 4 years now, and I have never had a better set of nails done than they do here. I even moved to New York two years ago, but I’ve since moved back and one of my reasons for moving back to Minnesota was literally for Tim and his team at Crown Spa. I get full set acrylics and they nail it every time, from latest design trends to perfect shape, they really take care of you here. The Spa pedicure is also to die for, I mean who doesn’t love champagne and hot stone massage. Tim, his wife Kim, Cousin Andy, his mom, his like-uncle and like-auntie have become like-family to me. Everyone in here does such beautiful work and is so kind. 1000 stars for life. I love you guys. 💜

This is my 2nd time coming to this establishment, and every time the service got worse. The first time I came for my pedicure which was decent, and got a full set acrylic powder dip to where I actually lost 2 nails 2 weeks from getting them on. Then the second time I came back for another a full set acrylic nails ( I was too forgiving and wanted to give them another try) which turned out to be nothing I wanted. They cut my nails way too short, and they were not even. I also didn’t get the color I wanted due to them messing up on the dip powder leading my nails to having bubbles in it, so they had to cover it with gel color. In addition to all this, 3 of my fingers cuticles were cut and I started to bleed. I left the place with my fingers in pain, ugly nails, and red nail color all over skin.

The service was immaculate and my nails and toes look wonderful. You also get champagne with a premium pedicure

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!! This is the only nail salon I will go to from now on. I made the mistake of trying a different salon near my place of work. They had no idea what they were doing with the dipping powder. I knew how they were supposed to look because of my exceptional experience at The Crown. This was a nightmare - the nails were chunky, uneven and just a mess even after I went back to get them fixed. I’m pretty easy to please but this was just crazy. I suffered with them for two weeks to at least feel like I got my money’s worth. Today I went back to The Crown to finally have them done right again. The service they provide here is nothing short of outstanding. Andy is an absolute artist. He meticulously checked every nail to make sure they were even with one another. He clearly takes pride in his work and it shows. He’s excellent!!Also, to the reviewer who complained about not getting your nails soaked. They can’t do that for you with the dipping powder. It affects longevity.Edit: to add photo. You’d never even know these were dipping powders, they’re so thin and even. Only Andy could make my short stubby nails look like a million dollar dream.

I am absolutely ADDICTED! Tim did my nails. I am hooked. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends who enjoy getting their nails done. I was never really much of a fan of getting my nails done, but because of this experience my opinion has changed and I hope to be a life-time client of these guys! Just an overall terrible experience, this is my second time going to the shop and I am very disappointed… I showed them the picture of what I wanted and they reassured me multiple times that they knew how to do what I wanted. Halfway through my service I told my technician it looks nothing like the picture and the owner TIM came up and reassured me and said trust the process and had other technicians gaslight me into believing that my nails would turn out how the picture was. At the end of the service I left feeling deeply upset over the experience, and even came back into the shop a couple minutes later to tell them that if they had time later that week maybe we could fix my nails to which I was met with a rude demeanor and was told that I would have to pay more and that I didn’t have to come back. If you are a young black minority please avoid this place because they only cater towards middle-aged white women.

I’m actually still sitting here mid pedicure but i’m so blown away that i couldn’t review fast enough-the cleanest place i’ve ever been to start. they go above and beyond perfectionist hygiene. when i saw all they do to keep it clean and safe it horrified me what other salons did.there most basic pedicure is most places deluxe- i actually thought i was getting deluxe because all they were doing- and it was awesome i didn’t care, thinking they had accidentally though i said the luxury one when the manager clarified that it actually was the basic- what have i been doing going anywhere but here.Then there is the extreme attention to detail, you can tell no one is rushing- everyone is focused intensely and trying to do high quality work.you aren’t just getting what you paid for- you’re getting MORE than they charge.But even if they charged what this all is worth for more i still would be happy to pay it because it’s so over the top better than anywhere i’ve been in a literal decade of monthly manicures and pedicures.i’ve never had a salon, one that i always went to because they were always the same deal until now.i will never ever go anywhere but here ever again.

This place is unprofessional. I have already written a review on here, but it seems like they deleted it. DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVER CHARGED FOR MEDIOCRE WORK AND DISRESPECTED. I don’t know if it was because I’m a POC (black), but this was a traumatic experience for me and I was the only POC in the shop getting my nails done.

The staff is so sweet and amazing but the build and the nails are way too thin For acrylic. Majority of my nails broke off in less than a week And I’m not rough with my nails at all. Their manicures and dip powders are amazing, but for the price of acrylics it’s not worth it.

The absolute biggest waste of money. They charged a ridiculous amount for an uneven, unfinished looking manicure and pedicure. They also cut my finger then scolded me. The nails looked so bad I asked them to take them off and they refused! I wasted sixty dollars on nails and another thirty to buy stuff to take my nails off on my way home. DO NOT GO HERE.

This is definitely the best place to get your nails done in Minnesota! The quality of the nails are bomb, and all the workers really put all effort on anything design you want. I’ve never had such nice nails, and they turned out better than the picture I showed them! Tim was really welcoming and not only did he help me choose my nails but he interacted with me and the other customers! For sure coming back😝😝

This was my first time going to Crown Nails and I absolutely loved the people and the work they did on my nails. The workers are able to do anything you want with putting their own creative spin on it, making it better than the original. Tim did a fabulous job, he took his time and put his own creativity in doing my nails, making for an amazing result 😍 10/10 would recommend!!

Oh my goodness, where do I begin!? I was in need of having my dip powder redone because the last place didnt apply it correctly. After a day it was cracking and chipping off! So I went to the Google to try and find a new salon. The crown spa was recommended, so I figured I would check it out. They were a little more then I wanted to spend, but the experience was worth it. The owner alone is super nice and inviting. He has a standard that he wants to achieve with each service he provides...and it shows. They take their time to do it right instead of packing people in to make sales. It is clean, and so many different options for dip powder. They have samples of what they can do, but you can also modify it.I will definately be going back! It felt like when I would go to the big salons, instead of just side shops (if that makes sense). You wont be disappointed if youre looking for quality with high standards.

I got my nails done here about 2-3 times. I was treated well the first couple times but was charged an arm and leg for full set and pedicure $140 in total. I came in late one time and they tried to kick me out cause my phone was going off. I will not be returning and suggest any woman of color to not go here unless you want to be treated poorly they like arguing with their customers and are not easy to negotiate with..

I’ve had acrylics, gel polish, dip powder, and pedicures and each service is completed with skill & attention to detail. They can truly do any shape, length of nail, or designs and have a HUGE selection of dip powders. The interior is clean & inviting. Absolutely recommend for everyone!

Every time I come into crown they do an amazing job! I’ve never left unsatisfied! They have amazing nail art and shaping which is hard to find here in Minneapolis in a salon! They do get really busy but if you make an appointment they’re really good about getting you in on time. Tim has been doing my nails for a little under a year and I’m obsessed! ❤️❤️

I went to this spot based off of reviews, looking to get gel nails & they were very nice and ultimately they talked me into getting dip nails which are 50$ but are supposed to be very durable and last longer. First of all.. the lady shaped my nails and after I told her I didn’t like it she started filing my nails HARD so hard that 3 of my fingers bled, I do believe she deliberately did it because she wasn’t doing that before I told her I didn’t like the shape. Also it’s been 2 days since I got them done and they’re already cracking... not worth 50$ and not worth the pain my fingers are in.

Why cant I give this place 20 stars?! Its so amazing. Prompt service, without feeling rushed. The techs take care of everything- my personal favorite is the dip powder service. $50 for a dip manicure that actually covers everything a manicure should, while looking natural. The application is just right- not too thick, but not thin enough to where nails break after only a few days. I found this place by accident and couldnt be happier! For more extensive sessions, be sure to call ahead and make an appointment and theyll take care of you.

The nail tech used a gel topcoat on my dip manicure and it was definitely the wrong topcoat because the entire topcoat which was clear peeled off. It was so bad and I can’t believe I actually paid for the service and I don’t believe this place is clean at all

Highly recommend the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce. Ordered drinks and the waiter completely forgot about them (it was busy). Other than that, good food. Chill atmosphere.

The Crown Spa Nails is the only place to go to get your nails done! Everyone is friendly and dedicated to customer satisfaction. Tin is the most creative artist and he is so passionate about his craft. Andy gives an amazing pedicure with the best massage. Even when I arrived late for my appointment they still gave me the same exceptional service and attention to detail as usual. They are the best and the crystal top coat is my favorite! It is so shiny and long-lasting. My nails look the same when I come back to get them re-done as the day I first had them done. Ive tried very expensive luxury spas closer to my home, but I havent found any options of comparable quality or service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing nail place! Got a pedicure here with my mom and sister before a wedding and it was the best pedicure Ive ever had. You get a free glass of champagne, and they really pay attention to your feet/nails. They also massaged our legs and feet with lotion and hot stones for a while which felt amazing. 10/10 would recommend!!

I give them 3 stars because I do like how the nails turned out. HOWEVER, after the procedure my nails and finger tips are getting more and more painful. The way he did the manicure was very rough which hurts the nails and skin. Or the painting material might be stretching my nails. It could be just me but I didn’t feel this kind of pain from all the manicures I did before. I think they need to improve on how to give the customers a comfortable experience.

The guy that ran the place clearly didnt want to spend time working on my nails. He was much more interested in working with the younger clients. They didnt even do a very good job on my nails. My cuticles looked all torn up the following day because they cut too much off and were red. The Polish looked dull even though its suppose to be Gel polish! All in all horrid experience. Would never ever go back there again. They were not very nice either. Lousy experience would NOT RECOMMEND to anyone!

I got my nails done there literally 5 days ago and paid $80. I woke up this morning with two of my nails having completely fell off. Also when shaping the nails the sides aren’t even all the way straight and the lady made my nails ridiculously thick. They also didn’t do stuff that most other salons do like just basic care with the cuticles and simple stuff like that. Would not recommend. Poor quality for way too much money.

I came in with a set that drowned out my hands and was poorly done by a different nail salon. Tim changed my coffin shape to look more professional. They have an amazing assortment of different colors and Tim always has great ideas for your nails. Im so glad to have found this salon, the environment is so positive and Im absolutely in love.

I live in Chicago and came to Minneapolis for work. I broke a nail and had to make an appointment at The Crown Spa Nails to get it fixed right away. I am very picky with my nails even though, the style I usually go for, are simple. I am usually disappointed after getting my nails done because the technicians don’t listen to what I ask, instead they do what they like and for this reason I didn’t expect much. I was greeted by Andy right away and I explained what I needed. Andy was absolutely amazing! He listened to what I asked for and took his time to do it. He was sweet, careful, attentive and such a sweetheart. I am so in love with my nails and their shape. I can’t wait to work in Minneapolis again so I can get my nails done by Andy. From now on, Andy is my nail magician lolMy only issue with this place is the price. I think $40 for a refill is extremely expensive, but other than that, everything is great and I recommend them.

I have been coming to The Crown Spa Nails since 2014, back when it was just Spa Nails. Tim has done an incredible job making updates to the place and the services offered. The staff is superb, especially Tran, and I honestly couldnt imagine going somewhere else. The prices are unbeatable, everyone that works here is so awesome and you get a hot stone massage with even the most basic pedicure. This is a true gem, folks.

I went for a full set, and ended up getting a pedicure and full set. The pedicure was amazing; I received a really great foot and leg massage. I love my full set! When I got home I noticed they were glowing in the dark! How dope is that?!The only drawback is that for a full set or fill, you must make an appointment; I did notice they accepted walk in pedicures. However, the owner is very responsive on instagram to set an appointment. Overall. I will be back!

Not only do my nails look fantastic, and better each time than what Id imagined: they are the longest and healthiest theyve been in my entire life. I lie not! They use quality product to help grow and make my nails healthier and stronger. (DIP!) I dont do/ want to do extra length, though Ive seen it done there beautifully and artistically--Im just stoked about having nails that dont chip with my handwork heavy job (cashier/whatever/display and sign art at Trader Joes) and having fingers that are distinctly non street-urchinish, (broken and peeling; I have softy nails). Highly recommend for simple, healthy and long lasting beautiful nails, and also for crazy amazing beautiful fantasy you came here from another universe you beautiful creature...nails. Love this place!

Renovations look fantastic and the new owner, Tim, did them all his self! No doubt that hes putting his heart into making The Crown Spa Nails a one-stop experience for all your nail needs. Also, if youre like me and ever have issues settling on a color, his suggestions are always on point!

Tim, the new owner, is wonderful! He cares about every person that walks in door and doesnt forget a face or the quirks of how you like your nails done. Hes redone the interior so its nice and open - an upscale spa experience for a steal price. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to seeing his future improvements to the old Spa Nails.

Love everything about this place to the design work, the relaxing atmosphere, the quality of the product, the staff, and whole experience. Getting your nails doesn’t feel like a rush here it feels like a nail spa. I’m always well taken care of :)

Refreshing my review because I still love coming here after another year. I’m at the point where I just come in and tell them to do whatever they want to my nails. I always leave with a beautiful set of nails. They take great care in making sure the shape is just right, the nails last me 2-4 weeks (and I’m a barista, I am using my hands all day) they are worth the pricing.Still love this place. Ive been coming for just over 6 months now. The staff know what they are doing. I like how matter of fact Tim is. Hell tell you whats possible for your nails.I leave happy all the time and my nails look great.The dip powder they have is strong and they have a great selection. My last set lasted 4 weeks and not one gem fell off.

I love the Crown Spa Nails! I have been coming here for years and always receive the best service. The new ownership and interior remodel has made it even more relaxing and enjoyable! Definitely check this place out. You wont be disappointed!

I would give them 0 nada not one star if I could and still write a review!!!!... My experience goes like this: walk in... can I help you? (Asian male) Yes, Id like a nail fixed sorry I cant do it right now okay... I then asked could I get a polish change?? He said no all appointments right now well WHAT THE HECK DID YOU ASK ME HOW COULD YOU HELP ME???? I asked for the simplest least time consuming services! And out of the 4 or 5 women (none of African decent,from what I could see) being serviced Im sure they were NOT all appointments and the same time?? Im not grungy and definitely not dirty Im actually an respectable Esthetician!! I work in this industry! I also must add it was was 4pm and they close at 7 and Im supposed to believe all the clients from then on were appointments!? Get outta here bad, bad service and terrible business!!! Take your money else where like Calhoun Nail Spa 😊

The service was pleasant; however, I got a gel manicure and it has already started chipping (on multiple fingers) at only the one week mark. This is very disappointing because other nail salons last at least two weeks.

Was recommended to Crown Spa Nails by some girlfriends at work and have not looked for another place since! The team is absolutely fantastic and accommodating, designs and one of a kind art work for nails, hot stone massages with pedicures... it is truly a dreaam. Tim has created a tiny slice of heaven in the heart of uptown.

Absolutely the best nail salon in Minneapolis. Even though I live in Chaska I wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I go out of my way to see Tim. They treat you like family here, and always try to work with you scheduling wise, on top of doing great work! What more can you ask for? Highly recommend them!

Tim, Vee, Andy.... what can I say? Ive been coming here for so long and theyre like family. They pay attention to detail. They are polite. But most importantly they know what they are doing. I will always recommend anyone to come here. Especially for dip nails. They helped grow my nails out very strong and long after years of nail biting. Love yall!

Best nails in the state. By far. Ive gotten mine done all over the country, every 2 weeks, for 12 years. The quality products, the perfect shaping, and the unique custom designs will have you thinking youre in L.A. Ask for Tim for any outrageous designs!
