I have been coming here for about a year. I have never had a bad experience! They have taken Covid very seriously and have taken measures to create a safe environment. They do great work and I always leave very happy with my nails! They will forever be my go to for my manicures and pedicures!

I would recommend making an appointment if youre going on a weekend. I waited about 20 minutes, which was expected. A very nice, big salon that cares a lot about cleanliness. They have a large selection of nail colors and services, including dip and gel. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead 5 is because the lady doing my pedicure was holding my foot by my big toe which was super uncomfortable.

What an mediocre experience for the price....very disappointed.The so called professional was very rude and disgracefully unprofessional.1. She was very rough w my feet and spoke ill, about my pinky toe, NEVER have I heard a professional speak in this manner?2. She aggressively asked me to pay via venmo instead of my debit card.3. She took my card and asked me how much would I like to pay for a tip ?? Who says this?4. My pedi is not lasting.Never again $65 bucksMy friend avoided the older lady as we walked back, and I should have listened. The worst service. I only came here for a girls day out, and it turned out to be ridiculous!

I absolutely love this nail salon. The setting is very relaxing and beautifully designed. Kim did an AMAZING job on my shellac mani & pedicure!! Always very meticulous and pays great attention to detail. Definitely will be returning.

Way too overpriced and the quality and service is horrible. I did a pedicure and full set and paid $89 just for me to be disappointed.

This place is so clean!! I was very impressed with the procedures they were taking to try and help prevent the spread of COVID. I choose a spa pedicure with a French tip and my nails turned out perfectly! They even made adjustments to the service due to me being pregnant. Super easy to work with and so worth it!

Started good but there was a miss communication. That cost. Plus when i got home and inspected pedi, not good partial pant on toes not fully painted plus very uneven nails . Both nails mani and pedi were not filed but for 2 sec. Too rushed. Ill go elsewhere

Im so happy to have found This salon! I made an appointment the same day and they were able to squeeze me in between appointments. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the incredible work they do. My technician was so intricate and skilled. She did a beautiful design and worked very efficiently. The salon was clean and everyone was friendly. Definitely recommend to everyone.

This Salon is a must. They are super sweet & attentive VERY clean. You can make an appointment or walk in ( call to make sure covid changes this) I love their sign in ipad system you get points everytime you come in its so futuristic.! The ladys got me an my bestie together.!! Best pedicure in town ( milky is what we got with hot wax) oh an the pedicure chairs had us falling asleep so comfortable .! I get my nails dont here also they listen to what you want an the shaping in on point.!

I got a manicure and pedicure today. Jennifer did a great job! I had an appointment and they were on schedule. One thing I love about this salon is that it doesn’t have an overwhelming chemical smell like some salons I’ve been to. It has high ceilings and good ventilation. It is spacious and doesn’t feel crowded like some salons. They have a nice drying station. The prices are also reasonable.

I was very impressed with this salon and their service. They were all very friendly and seemed to take pride in their work. It was relaxing and busy so people must love it. Easy online check in upon arrival. It was my first time with them 2 days ago for a gel manicure and today a pedicure. Competitive prices.

Staff gave me a gel manicure here and she was the absolute sweetest! She did a very meticulous job and I was very happy with her work as well as her attention to customer service. I had so much fun chit chatting with her as well. The salon is big and bright and everybody was friendly all around. Will definitely be back!

I love this salon!!!The entire staff is supportive of each other and you can feel the difference in the positive environment they create. Each experience here is like a true spa. It’s not noisy at all, instead it plays calming music and displays several TVS in a classy way with subtitles instead of distracting volume.Each technician treats you like and individual and goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and supported. They always take their time and make sure that you are happy with your experience. I’ve been to more salons then I can count across several states and this salon is hands down, THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!

Overall, I had a wonderful experience here!The lady that worked on my nails was very sweet and she was very professional. Her technique was amazing, my nails looked awesome. The pedicure felt really good too.Another thing about this place is the ambience. It did not stench of nail products, you actually could barely smell nail chemicals. The place was beautiful, and there was a large aquarium.One thing I noticed is that prices for nail services are higher in Louisville, particularly the Highlands, so this place is about average on prices. The one awesome thing about this place is that they give student discounts!Overall it was a great service and I would probably go back for future nail services.

Today was my first visit here. I’m absolutely in love with this nail salon the lady I saw was so nice gave advice on what she recommended for my nails and took the time to make them look amazing. I will be going back soon for a pedicure they also have child size seats for pedicures

This salon is a half a mile from my home so it is very convenient for me. This was my first visit, and can I say, it was absolutely wonderful! My mother and I were greeted kindly at the door and were offered hot tea, coffee, or water to drink. We waited for a few minutes, and they took us back to the bowls to begin my pedicure. My mother wanted a manicure and not a pedicure, but they sat us together at the massage chairs and had my feet soak until they were ready to begin her manicure. I chose the Sandy Beach pedicure and it was fantastic! Im on my feet for long hours during the week at work so it was the perfect treat and maintenance. The staff here are all about customer service and provide a welcoming, clean, and relaxing environment. I can safely say I found my new home for nail care!

I have been going here for years! Even before they renovated! I think they are the best nail salon in Louisville. I have tried other places and have always been a little disappointed. The ladies at American Nails are always professional and the atmosphere is wonderful! 10/10 would recommend.

Went here for a gel Mani and pedi with out an appointment and they took us in pretty fast. They have a huge selection of gel polish colors! My friends and I were able to sit together for our pedi session as they worked on our hands. They were really accommodating.

It was my first time getting my nails done. They were very patient and answered all of my questions and even helped make color suggestions based on my finger shape and size and skin tone. Im an artist and rough on my hands and I got the gel manicure and it lasted 3 weeks until it started to peel away. I am very happy and cant wait to go back. The place was clean and service was great.

After moving to Louisville I really struggled to find a new nail salon that I loved. I tried this place a few times but wasnt 100% happy until I visited American Nails & Spa. Best my nails have ever looked!

The first time I went was wonderful. The second time the lafy cut my skin enough to make it bleed and also didnt cure the nail in enough so the polish fell off the next day. Not going again.

First time doing dip nails done by Teresa. She did a great job and was very sweet!

Got shellac done last Wednesday, and not only was I rudely treated after telling the nail tech that I didnt want a manicure, she proceeded to say something under her breath, and also to her friend sitting next to her in another language, but she rushed my gels. She didnt cover the entire nails with the base, didnt buff my nails properly, and I was left with gel underneath my nails and all over my cuticles. Its now 6 days after and my no chip gel color has chipped, and what underneath was gel from my previous gel. Never going back. The place looks amazing, but the service does not meet up with the looks.

Will probably not visit again. My nails looked horrible the day after. I had a French tip done on my natural nail and they chipped the next day. There last told me that it wouldnt last Long but I never imagined they would be terrible the next day or I wouldnt have gotten that. Its a pretty place though. Cute chairs for kid manicures

Ive gone to American at least a dozen times, but today was the last.I have two big issues with this spot. They work with a set timer, so often they seem rushed and unless you are a full-time regular or getting a deluxe spa pedi, prepare to feel assembly-lined. Theyre always looking over their shoulder at who is next and it leaves one with the impression that theyre not really interested in you.Which brings issue two - theyve just done a bad job and more than once. And because of the timed rush, I always have to point it out myself and ask. Like once it was a big bubble in the polish needing fixed. Today, I asked, Could you please clean the dirt from the corners of my big toes? She had taken the tools away, but I could clearly still see the dirt under my toenails without leaning in even. She replied, Well, I already did it, but Ill do it again for you. Literally, she acted put out that I asked her to clean the dirt from my toenails. During a pedi!The kicker is that they ask for payment immediately upon completion and then stand there for the receipt. This tech and her cruddy attitude did not get a tip and American will not get my business anymore.

Ive never had a more rude nail technician nor a more hideous acrylic nail job. This place is walking distance from my house and I still drive 15 minutes to go elsewhere. I asked the woman to give me round nails and she kept fighting with me about how square is better. I believe she only did that because she had no idea how to make them all round. It was horrendous and they cracked within a week. Would NEVER go back.

My first time ever coming to American nails and it was by far the best experience Ive ever had. The nail techs we very nice. I received the spa pedicure and I almost fell asleep before it was that relaxing. Im not sure why Ive never visited befor today but obviously I was not thinking. I will definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE. And you might just see my face because Ill most definitely come back. Its a little pricey but it was worth EVERY CENT.

Salon was okay, staff were friendly and place was nicely decorated. However, I got a gel mani/pedi and didnt even last 2 days. Such a waste of money. Also after the gel chipped off, my nails had a yellow hue to them. Defintely not going back.

Me and my son went there today we had a great experience.

Terrible experience. The tech I had didnt know what she was doing with powder, and had to call two other techs over to show up them my nails. She was also very rude during the experience. When I left my nails were uneven and splotchy, I said something to the owners, but I didnt have time to get it fixed as I was with a wedding party. They charged over $80 for a pedicure and a powder set.I went to a different salon today and my tech told me that they did them wrong. They didnt put a base coat on my nails, and he almost sanded my real nails because of it. I would not recommend this place at all.

Clean and fast place to get your nails done in Louisville. They take appointments, and they use heating pads throughout your manicure- nice touch.

The lady I had was super rude. Refused to do almond shaped nails. I wanted them shorter because of being a youth care worker and the lady exclaimed how horrible almond shaped nails look with short-ish nails. I did get dip nails with tips and after the whole almond convo, I settled on squoval nails. They ended up being square and when I asked to have then more rounded she got super upset and seemed so put off. The final nails are uneven, very wide and dense, and there is a crack in one that she didnt bother to correct. Awful service and an awful experience. It was the day before my moms funeral and having someone refuse service and act so rude was really awful. I will never go back here. .
