Are boat barely moved. Im on the ocean every day for work and I know what 5 mph is supposed to feel like. So when I got back I complained. I was told that they regulate their boats based on the amount of boats in the harbor. It was a Wednesday night. Give me a break. Every boat in the five mile an hour zone went by us. Boat was painfully slow. I got a text message about 200 yards from a bridge saying that it was high tide and I needed to turn around so they definitely monitor the boats, where youre at etc, didnt realize this until I was told by one of their employees that they regulate the boats. So what that means to me is that they can control your speed even at 5 mph. lbr boats are older but I will definitely use them next time. These boats are nicer but will not use them again.
I had the Best Birthday! My Birthday was Saturday May 15th! I loved every bit of it we had an awesome boat! I loved my driver and all of the staff were very nice and friendly! Forgot my driver name but he was awesome! Had a chance to meet the owner he was really nice! I appreciate you all making my day great! Me and my family will be back!!! Great place to celebrate and have fun!!!

Duffy Boat Rental Long Beach is a great way to experience the water front portion of the city any time of year. After about 4-5 bookings with them, we have never had less than a great time. The captains are always fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. Bring anything you want to drink or snack on, and they do the rest.
We rented a Duffy from this place in the evening on a Saturday and had a great time. Their boats are clean and well maintained, seeming more upscale than the other rental places around town. Also they are putting in a bar/restaurant. Ill recommend this place and will be back.
If you get a Groupon, the Groupon does not say anything about setting up a reservation!!! Here in San Diego and we were so excited until they told us we had to have a reservation! Lack of communication on their Groupon! It sucks.

It was a pleasure to drive into the Marina Pacifica Mall and have plenty of open parking spaces. When we walked down to the boat docks we were greeted by a very friendly, professional, and organized staff. The boats are very clean and modern. Where the boat docks are situated there is no wind or current which makes for a very easy departure and arrival. Conveniently located right next door to Ralphs if any last minute drinks or snacks are needed. Not to mention to go appetizers from Tantalum restaurant. I will definitely be recommending their boats to friends and family.
Love the Duffy Boat! We reserved the boat for 2 hours which is plenty of time to enjoy the marina! You can bring your own food and drink and they even have bluetooth so you can hook up your music! The pricing varies depending on the season we paid $180 for the 2 hours.
Oh this is really a fun place to take a small group of people. We were fortunate to be invited by a friend of ours who is celebrating his wife’s birthday. Eight of us went out on a boat had snacks and drinks which we brought along with music played on a Bluetooth from one of our phones. Beautiful bay ride
The staff is great and friendly. The boats are clean but slow which is great for a leisurely evening boat ride with family and friends. Will definitely be back.

Was a good experience until the end when we were lost and instead of helping us they were rude and yelling and telling us how much the charge would be as if we couldnt pay. Then upon payment they tried to charge me an additional 100 dollars as if i wouldnt catch it l. Wouldnt recommend going back im for sure wont be at all
I just want to say how excited I was to finally see and spend some time with my family (hadn’t seen them in several years). My Aunt wanted to treat us for a ride in a Duffy boat. We spent hours making meals, cutting fruit and planing for the perfect experience. When we arrived we had to wait at least 10 minutes for the boat, but that was fine. We were 30 minutes into our 120 minute rental experience and my aunt received a call from a 213 area code (always working and needing just a couple of hours to unplug and spend quality time with us, she didn’t answer). Thirty seconds later, the same 213 number called again. This time, thinking it might be an emergency, she answered. It was the Duffy boat rental company saying that the ship yard contacted them and told them that we crashed into a boat. My Aunt got upset and assured them that we didn’t crash into another boat, the owner or employee (pretty sure it was as the owner) said the ship yard doesn’t lie. That totally ruined the entire experience. My aunt works very hard and saved up for a two hour ride with her family and it was totally destroyed by this experience. Long story short, it turned out to be another one of their renters who crashed into a boat, but the damage was done. I only had two days with my aunt and it was a very disappointing experience. If you want to be treated like a liar, this is the experience for you! If you decide to rent with them, take pictures of the boat before you get in and turn your phone off!!
Have rented boats many times from anchors away and this time they gave us a small boat which was way too crowded for our 10 passengers. Usually we have the boat with the deck and I have never special requested it but it was always the one we were given so this time when we were given the smaller boat with no deck it was disappointing because if I knew or if I was given the option when I called and made the reservation I would’ve never asked for the smaller boat Especially for that many people. I was very disappointed with the service when I brought it up to the worker and was told that I had to request it when making an online reservation but I actually spoke to someone to make the reservation and was never given an option on what kind of boat I wanted becauseIf I was, I would’ve definitely asked for the boat with the deck! so we were not happy with the whole experience at all!
We spent a beautiful October day boating. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, the boat was comfortable and the weather was superb. Would highly recommend Anchors Away for a relaxing experience.
The boat goes slow enough where the driver might be able to drink. Operators were cool, gave us a map and told us to have fun. We kept track of the time and made it back without extra fees.
Wow. What an EXCELLENT experience. Not only was the boat exceptional, beautiful, and pristine... the communication with the owners of this company was Awesome. They made it easy to rent and created the perfect experience for my mother-in-laws birthday. The owners of the company even let us know of a concert that was playing near the water so we could make this evening extra special. This is the one by TANTALUM. After tipping (hubby paid $40) paid $300 for 2 hrs., 4 people. We were on time returning, since its $50 for each 15 min. if youre late. Never could get the music to work, couldnt find lighting to find our food and drinks easily in the dark, awkward (We were early, but no real orientation to this boat which had a different sound and lighting system than ALL the others weve ever used.) Have done this many Christmases at different Duffy places and loved this activity every single time! It was always more than worth it. Not this time. You sign a contract promising not to go under bridges. Really? We signed it and ignored it. I guess they want a way to make the customer buy them a new boat if something happens. Dont know. I have never had to sign this agreement before. CHECK YOUR COMPANY OUT AND MAKE SURE ITS THE ONE YOU WANT. The place across the water by Seal Beach area was WAY better, I thought. Going back there next time, no contest.
It was the first time for me and my friends to explore Naples in an electric boat. We had such a great time that two hours was not enough. Leah and her crew were fantastic. We have already scheduled another boat ride for this year...I would highly recommend Duffy Rentals and their pricing is reasonable
Easy to find, plenty of parking, and the owner is very nice and accommodating. Rented a Duffy for two hours for my family. Had a great time. Naples island and its beautiful homes were so relaxing. Brought our own chartreuse, champagne, and wine. Thankfully, we were able to plug in our tunes. The boats is clean, kept up, and looks brand new. We were sad when our excursion was over, but will definitely be back. Thanks Nigel!

Ive used Anchors Away several times and will definitely be using them again. Their boats are always very clean and theres plenty of room for all your drinks and food to be set out. Its ideally located near the Ralphs parking lot so there is plenty of boat parking separate from all the shoppers. Nye and Leah are always so warm and friendly, and I look forward to my next rental with them!

Showed up at 7:30 pm for an 8pm departure, despite the email confirmation we were told they didnt have our reservation because supposedly their website had been down since June but was still accepting reservations. Mind you this reservation was just booked Nov 15th. There was also another party that was there with an 8pm reservation so Im curious how their reservation went through. After a bunch of back and forth from the representative at the dock we were told that the owner was sending a boat over to compensate for the error. Well we waited until almost 9pm before they were able to provide a boat. The main reason for our trip was to look at the Christmas lights, but due to high tide the boat we were given couldnt go under any bridges. So there wasnt much of a trip, it was over in an hour. Check beforehand if you choose to do business with this company, even if you get a email confirmation you should probably still call ahead to check. They did not reach out to us either by email or by phone to inform of the error with their website. If you booked a two hour cruise that was supposed to start at 8pm and you dont get on a boat until 9, I would expect the company to make things right. Upon our return I asked the owner/manager if we could return a different day to use the remaining hour. We were told no because they only rent out on a minimum of two hours. So beware if you get there and they dont have a boat just turn around and leave, its not worth the hassle and the hour on wait to get one.
We had a great experience renting from Anchors Away. I have used them two times, once with my wife and once as a team building event with my office. The boats were very clean and the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend using them for personal or corporate outings.

My wife and I had some friends come into to town and we wanted to enjoy the water but not from the beach. Ive seen big boat places and they dont have the customer service we like all the time. So we booked with DBRLB and the owner Nye met us at the water, gave us a map, told ya the places to go and we enjoyed a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Our friends were beyond impressed.The personal touch, the class, and the quality of the boats are second to none.If I was on a date, this would be my go to! So romantic and my wife and I LOVED this.Dont go with anyone else. Youll regret not listening to this review if you do.C
Something different make sure the price dont change we looked online it said $90 for an hour an a half but we went for memorial day weekend & the price changed to $200 for 2 hours we came from Riverside so we didnt wanna travel that far 4 nothing so we paid but it was nice to do something other then the norm
We had the best time ever, the staff was friendly and informative we drove the duffys through Naples Island, through the harbor then stopped the duffy at the public docks and went to The Boathouse on the Bay for an incredible dinner and excellent cocktails then returned the boat then went to Tantulum Restaurant and danced to the local band. What an evening, I would like to thank Nigel and his staff for taking good care of us.
