The boat could have been a little faster, but over all it was a fun day. Perfect for familys 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 with little ones for their first time boat experience. Will be coming back for sure! Boat was nice and clean, had Bluetooth for your own tunes.

Do not go to anchors away rentals. There are much better alternatives that luckily we found after being turned away.My sister booked the rental more than a week in advance. We happened to arrive a little late. Accidentally missed their call because we were stuck in traffic coming down from LA.As soon as we arrived, confused about parking as well, my sister went to check in.It was her birthday and the guys your company had working on Sunday July 25 2021 were very rude.Arrived and they were all taking amongst themselves on their phones. Told us their was nothing they could do since we were late. We were open to being out on the water for the remaining time we had booked. But no.These rude fellows did not accommodate us and turned us away. I warned I would write a bad review and here it is. Honest and True.I will be disputing the cancellation charge that this business still decided to charge when I did not plan to cancel.Very rude service!! No masks were being used for covid safety and the rentals were ugly.We went down to Newport Beach instead and had a wonderful timePlease avoid Anchors Away rentals and save your money for a better experience !!Yes I had the time today. And will write a bad review on all major visited sites for ppl looking for recommendations. Thank you next.

Your staff stepped up and above. I was running extremely late for my appointed time. Got stuck in traffic from West hollywood. They allowed the rest of our party to board the boat. Allowed one of my family members to sign off. And then allowed us the additional time that I was late out on the water. Definitely over and above expectations. Friendly, courteous staff. Not sure of other services that would say dont worry about the trash in the boat we will pick it up. But of course we picked up after ourselves.Clean boat when we started out, and was returned the same way. I had expressed a desire to go through the Naples canal. The staff member pointed out to me on the included map which way to go based on the tide. Extremely accurate. Added to our enjoyment out on the water.Highly recommend.

Awesome staff, explained everything beforehand & very clean boat. Its a cruising boat so it didnt go fast but it was a lot of fun touring the harbor.

Rented from here with my parents back in October and it was so easy! The workers were friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Best experience, great customer service and the best rental boats in Long Beach because they actually have decks on the back of their boats! The workers are extremely helpful and polite. Love this company.

Anchors Away Boat Rental does it right. Every boat we’ve rented has been in immaculate condition, right down to the accent pillows. The surrounding space is conducive to hanging out with friends while you are waiting and after you’ve finished the boat ride. Nigel and his staff are so thoughtful and sweet. We absolutely love coming down to Marina Pacifica to enjoy the water on one of their boats.

Solid experience. The place is slightly hidden but there are signs to get you to the entrance and if you get lost you can call. The boat was bigger than I expected and had a sun deck behind the driver. No problems with it and everyone had a good time. Would do it again

Safety is the last thing on this companies mind. Running subpar vessels and the staff is quite militant. Avoid at all costs. Theres lots of great alternatives to these guys. When I complained these guys took pictures of me to try & intimidate. Sad state of affairs.

As a boat owner, upset this place took dock space that allowed boat owners to park and enjoy the restaurants. All boat owners need to raise hell with them and the mall marina.

The owner will ruin the experience. He is the type where he is the owner of not only the boats but the people renting the boats as well. I would highly recommend long Beach rentals over this place. Go to a business that will treat you like a customer, not as a burden to his perfect day. Hopefully this will save atleast 2 people from having to deal with his negativity instead of enjoying their day.

So fun and easy. Cruise through the canals on the cutest Duffy boats checking out all the holiday lights. Its like going to candy cane lane without all the traffic and the bonus of being on a boat. The staff was great too. Highly recommend and would go again. Side note: each boat can hold up to 12 people comfortably

So disappointed with anchors away !I had a rental for 6pm to 8pmI had rented the boat to celebrate my sons 31 birthdayIt had been about 40 minutes into the ride when the lights began to flicker and then the speaker for the music went deadLights flicker again a d then goes darkNo lightsWe still keep driving the boat and then it slows down and just dies ! No power at all !Called the place for someone to come get us which took about 40 minutesWe made it back and I still was charged for a hour !Never going back and wouldnt recommend.

What a perfect anniversary date! Especially during covid. We took out a boat for just the two of us, had a picnic packed, and cruised around for two hours. We have thought about renting a duffy for ages. We had a wonderful experience with Anchors Away. We reserved online, received good instructions for the easy parking and check-in. The young folks checking us in were wearing maaks and were friendly and helpful. I appreciated seeing that they were sanitizing the boat in between guests. The boat was beautiful, and with some basic instructions we got the hang of everything quickly. Since we were novices, I was glad to be out on a weekday with less crowded waterways. We loved it!! Thank you, Anchors Away!

We have used Anchors Away a few times now. They never disappoint. Even the waiting area is whimsical and kicks your experience off right. The boats are clean, decorated with pillows, and have all that you need for a great night/day. The service is fantastic and the location is easy to get to. We will definitely continue using this company!

Worst rental experience I have ever received. First, the owner was rude and controlling over everyone within 10 feet of him. Seconded the boat we received was in berry poor shape with creeks and old noises and smells everywhere. Lastly, the worst part was that I was nearly exploited to pay for a pre-existing one inch scratch on the boat which cost me nearly 1,500$. I will never come here again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Excellent service and great prices. The staff is awesome, boats are super clean and very well maintained, which make me feel safe driving them. Tons of free parking with easy access to boats.

So apparently someone called this company last night and provided my daughters email amd phone # claiming they were under 18 yrs old and because of that our 2 pm.reservatuom for today was canceled. The representative we spoke with (I believe her name was Leah) gave us this explanation after we advised her that wasnt us who called and my daughter is 25 yrs old. She reserved a boat for her 26th birthday and now she is scrambling to find something else to do today. The worse part is she didnt believe us! There was no apology nor an offer to help us with the reservation rather she gave our reservation to someone else and referred us to other boat rental places! I am truly appalled by their customer service and lack of empathy because not only am I concerned that someone has my daughters information and was able to do this but I believe she is lieing. Anchors Away, get a confirmation system...or send a verification code to the # or email used on the reservation. Horrible!

Worst boating experience I’ve ever recieved. The boats were dirty and smelled bad. I honestly thought I would get corona from stepping on board. Do NOT COME HERE

We have rented from Vic the past 3 years. He has the best price in town and the boats are great. Trust me this is the place to go.if you have issues Vic will come get you no extra charge. You won’t find a cheaper place in town.

Love this company. They do it right. Super clean, top drawer boats. By far the best in Long Beach. Tons of easy parking. The staff are all really helpful and the experience was super smooth, relaxing and easy. Thanks for an awesome night with our friends. Definitely be seeing you again very soon!

I wanted to give them a 5 star review. Leah who took reservation was initially very nice. The young men at the dock were very helpful and polite. I had a large group so I rented 3 boats. One of the 3 boats suddenly went from normal speed to an almost complete standstill. We had other boats approaching us asking us if we needed help. Called the dock and I dont think they understood.The next day I call the office and speak with Leah and explained that one boat malfunctioned. Surprisingly, Leah, who was once so friendly, seemed to not care. Her response after I explained our experience was, Ok, is that it? There was no Im sorry. No let me see what I can do. Nothing. She was so polite before and now she had an I dont care attitude. She didnt offer me a dollar, an Im sorry, nothing. This is how Im treated after renting 3 boats and after they had my $900. DISAPPOINTED, TO SAY THE LEAST.

I just want to say this place was amazing! We’ve rented duffy boats many times in the past from other companies in other cities as well as Long Beach. Anchors Away has the nicest boats by far!!!!!! The owner Nigel & his staff were very accommodating to our needs, as we had a very large party, thankfully they were able to put us in a boat large enough to fit all of us, so we didn’t have to split our party up and rent 2 boats. I highly recommend !

We have used Anchors Away several times to celebrate special occasions. We love the location, the friendly service and the boats are always clean and well cared for. A Duffy boat ride with a Anchors Away is a great way to spend an evening! We can’t wait for our next excuse to book one!

Poor first time experience. We had a boat time for 5:00 pm and we received a voicemail that our boat was running late & that we would board at 5:30. We ended up boarding at 5:48pm (48 minutes after our original Boating time and we had plans after Which we had to cancel) I understand that the company can not control if the boats are running late, even if they charge a late fee but the fact that there isnt anything for the individuals who have been waiting is ridiculous. Our food we packed was cold & we had to cancel the plans we had after because we were late. We were actually told we would have additional time added to ride when the staff was apologizing for the boat before us taking so long, only to find that was NOT true once we got in the boat. We had a set 2 hour limit which was the normal amount of time we had before this whole issue. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company for Duffy boat rentals. Especially since they went back on their word of offering more time to us and then said they could not accommodate that because of appointment times.

Have used Anchor’s Away several times with girlfriends and my kids for afternoon cruises. Loved it each time! Really great customer service and the owner is usually there himself, which I appreciate. Highly recommend as the boats are great for so many different occasions, whether a date, a celebration, or just something fun to do with kids.

Performance of the Duffy was very weak, but would come again to see the young blonde worker at the desk.
