I am not going to lie it was really scary at first, but we really enjoyed the waterbikes. Once you get the hang of it (doesnt take long) then you know how to maneuver and you can go at your own pace. Workers were very helpful even when you get stranded; my sister got stuck on the side rocks and she got help right away. It was really fun and we would try this again.

Had a great time water biking. My sons bike didnt pedal well. The worker thinks fishing line was caught in it. We enjoyed just being out in the water, listening to music, and just hanging out.

Good experience!!! The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Beautiful place for water biking. It does require physical endurance, especially for a women my age (49). 😉My family and I had a wonderful time and highly suggest it as a activity you can do with your teenagers.

Amazing experience. Me and two friends walked in after a long couple of days and having just been scammed by a fake jet ski company. The ladies at the front were so nice, they got everything ready for us and we didnt have to worry about anything. We had such a good time on the bikes, they completely turned our day around. Had a super fun time here! Surprised my hubby for his bday a few days ago. Never knew this place existed but Im so glad we found it. Definitely fun and something different to do.The staff was super accommodating when I phoned in to say Id be a few minutes late due to heavier than usual traffic. Most likely due to Mothers Day weekend. Once we arrived Melissa or Alissa took care of us along with a really nice guy whos name I failed to get.The staff that instructed us on how to ride the bikes were just as friendly and cool. Not going to lie I almost changed my mine when we got down to the docks but so happy I went for it.The ride was fun and the scenery was to die for. The neighbors that we passed were all friendly. Do yourself a favor and just do it. I wiIll definitely be back with my girlfriends!

Honestly a bit terrifying at first but this has got to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! So easy to learn and it was a great thrilling experience, next time I’m definitely trying the glow ride!

We had a blast! We made a reservation the night before online (less than 24 hrs) and when we arrived the person at the check in already called me by name and said he was expecting us. The bikes were fabulous. They were easy to maneuver and easy to pedal. The reviews that said the seats were uncomfortable I dont agree with. They are normal bicycle seats and maybe if you did a 2 hour ride you might feel something but 1 hour was just fine. I think even after 2 hours you would be just fine. It was easy going and the water was calm. Didnt spot and sea life at all...... Naples canal is even calmer......... I would do this again and next time book 2 hours to go all the way into the Naples canal and back. I highly recommend this experience.

My wife loved this! My son liked this. I tolerated this. My daughter hated it...too much work. Its fun, but be ready for a workout. I guess you could just go out a ways and sit, but, then, whats the point? If you go an hour, try to go out to and around the canal. It is challenging, but beautiful and fun (in a burning quads sort of way).

This review is based on my communication with them, not the experience which unfortunately we didn’t get to go on :( i booked this early in our vaca for my sister and I the final night we were in town, and my sister ended up slipping and falling down the stairs at our AirBnb and breaking her hand, so we had to cut our vaca short and change our flight home. We sent an email and within like 3 minutes I got a refund notice as well as a response back from Melissa letting me know she issued the refund and well wishes for my sister. Great customer service and definitely will be making a visit when we get to come back to LA!

Such a fun time. The guides were the best part. So helpful and courteous. The water was pitch black and scaring another participant but they took the time to calm them down and explain how hard it is to flip. The holiday lights were so great and Im a huge biking fan so it was overall just a great experience.

My friends and I had a great experience taking the bikes out at sunset. The views are beautiful, the dual bikes come with a cooler for drinks and snacks, and we even played some music while biking through the canals. Great for groups and date nights too. Whether you live in LB or are visiting, its a unique and fun experience. Cherry on top: the staff are super friendly! Highly recommend!!

Very nice experience. The ride cost 25$ for an hour.We booked for Saturday at 1.30pm. We were given advice to book prior because it gets pretty busy.They were pretty organized and quite flexible even gave us a clip on bluetooth speaker for our ride.Carry cash for the tips

I love the hydrobike experience. Its very enjoyable... I can wear my street cloths on the bike. It feels very safe and solid. Its also very easy to peddle... Im not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination so I greatly appreciated the relaxing experience. I look forward to my next ride... the staff was very kind and helpful.

Excellent experience. Best time we had when we visited the LA area. Get away from the maddening LA crowds and horrible traffic and relax pedaling on the hydro bike. We were also lucky to spot a couple of dolphins when we went.

We, as several others did, bought a Groupon and had no trouble using it. What many people dont understand is that the weather and the water can change somewhat quickly (thats the ocean for you).The girls working were kind enough and helpful in what was going on. We had a two person water bike, which I highly recommend with a significant other. The two person bike comes with a cooler which you can store food, purses, or otherwise. I would recommend bringing your own food and drink, just dont litter. Its gorgeous at sundown on the water and its great to have good food with you as well. Not really any privacy but its still romantic. You compete with boats and other rental equipment out there but there is room enough currently.For anyone that cares, youre in a bay area and not the actual ocean. You definitely cannot see the bottom but its behind the breaker point.

Super fun (not in the sun though) and youre not really restricted on where you bike in the bay. As long as its not towards the ocean. I enjoyed the old fashioned pedaling and looking upon the different boats they had. Nice experience but I dont think I would go twice.

Such a fun way to see Alamitos Bay and Naples.. Ive gone out on the water bikes a few times now, my favorite are the Sunset rides on a double bike, you can bring snacks and drinks! The staff are very helpful and friendly..

My cousin bought a groupon for this and made a reservation for today at 1:30. We showed up at 1 pm and had trouble figuring out where to go. Once we found the dock, there was no one there. It was pretty windy on the dock, but seeing as how I am from out of state, I didn’t know what to expect. No one was there and we never received a call or email saying anything was cancelled. So disappointed as today was my only day in Long Beach. Would not recommend.

Hate to have to say anything bad since it seemed like such a nice visit...There was only a couple people here for the 9pm ride so the instructors said there was no need for a tour. Gave us detailed instructions and let us go on our own.Unfortunately we couldnt find the entrance to the lights, Walkie talkied the instructors to see which way to go and they said we passed the entrance. So we peddled back looking for it and never ever found it. After so much peddling back and forth we were by the start point and just went back.We told the instructors that we couldnt find it and got a awe Im sorry, well you can drive there and look at the lights too. A lot of people do that.Sorry man, I paid $80 dollars to see lights that I never saw, if I wouldve wanted to drive there Id have done it for free.Just expected a partial refund, a free ride next time or something. But instead a oh sorry about that, just drive there on your own and look ?Nah, not cool. Not satisfied. Overall just disappointed.If its so hard to find the entrance there should have been a guide no matter how many people there were there.Filed a chargeback with my bank for the whole thing. My back was even like wow that sucks, they didnt even offer a refund or a credit?Nope nothing just a sorry.

Most fun I have every had on the water in a self propelled craft. Beats rowing anyday. We have a 1 hour rental, and covered about 1.25 miles. If you are an active cyclist you will find it easy going. Just dont over steer, the bikes respond slowly to steering and if you turn the handles more then 45 degrees the bikes will get unresponsive.Bring a light jacket, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. The bikes have two cup holders, so bring some water. They have a small cargo holder good for a camera. Very stable. I cannot swim very well, but had no fear of tipping.Well went during off season (late april), so very little traffic on the water.

My girlfriend and I were actually looking for Kayak rentals after visiting Ballast Point and stumbled upon this wonderful experience. We spoke with the owner Melissa who shared how they recently purchased the business earlier this year and to her surprise she fell in love with sharing Waterbiking with others. While chatting with Melissa, one group returned raving about how much fun they had. It was then I knew we had to book it. We returned the next day for a glow ride. We were especially excited to see all the Christmas lights. The experience was spectacular. We stumbled into the Long Beach Canal and biked alongside beautifully decorated homes with our bluetooth speaker playing our favorite music. Melissas pre-ride information was all correct. The bikes were not very difficult and you do not get very wet. This was one of the best things I have done during the holiday season. On top of it, getting to support a local small business grow is personally rewarding. Give these guys a shot, we will be returning soon for another round. Thank you Melissa!

Did a one hour rental and it was ok. Called to make an appointment in advanced and had no problems. I thought we actually purchased a tour but when we got there they just gave us the bike and we were on our own, no precautions, tips or tricks. Riding was fun but hard work and we were sore afterwards.Parking is free in the lot.

The day before I called to see if I can change my reservation to a later time. The person said great because I overbooked for that time. Yet I never got a call from them first. We arrived Friday and they looked up my reservation and then they tell me its to windy to go out. Once again never got a call to tell me dont bother driving over here its to windy. Web site says they call you if the weather doesnt permit you to go out. I guess they couldnt bother to call me. Groupon will not refund me the money. I will not be in long beach anytime soon.Read yelp reviews. It seems like when you have a Groupon you cant get reservations or heads up that your reservation was cancelled. Of course they already got paid in advance for those.

Horrible business. They cant even answer their phone. I called to make an appointment and left a message saying that we will be there at 3. When we got there, we met a man who worked there and he was rude and looked like he hated his job. We told him that we tried calling and no one picked up and he just gave us a shrug like, Oh well. Later a woman called me and apologized for not picking up. She claimed that her phone lines were down and I told her that this isnt the first time I tried calling. You guys never pick up! In the end we ended up waiting and never even got to ride... Avoid this place trust me they need better service and communication skills first to run a business...

Great Time, Great Service

After being kept waiting 15 minutes of my hour time slot, I finally got to try out the hydrobike. 5 minutes into the ride I noticed the front steering fin was stuck. Called the guy at the dock (John) and he was very annoyed and actually became verbally abusive. While I think the hydrobikes are fun, I would highly recommend going elsewhere to do it.

Dont know how the owners run a business. They never pick up their phone and when I left a message to make a reservation for a Groupon. They told me the best way would be for them to call me if they had an opening. WHAT?! I went with it cus I had the Groupon. Its now been a week since I called and have heard nothing...I have the feeling they will not call back and my Groupon will go to waste. Never again!!

HYDROBIKE EXPERIENCE:I went with 4 in my group. We got two singles and one double bike. After crusing for a while and switching bikes (pretty easy to do if you can balance yourself), we all wanted to ride the double. It was a lot easier and was convenient to stay next to your friend/partner.The bikes felt very sturdy.I went with my husband and another couple. Were all pretty fit and an hour was a good amount of time (wouldnt do more or less).SERVICE:I called on a Monday to see about going with 4 people (using a Groupon) on Tues or Wed. The groupon was going to expire by Wednesday. I didnt even leave a message and Linda (I think that was her name) called me back and left me a message. With the late notice, we were not able be scheduled on Tuesday or Wed, but she allowed us to go on Friday and still honored our Groupon.The guys at the dock were very friendly. It was pretty straight forward- they gave us each a little map and showed us where we could go.We will definitely be returning!

THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR GROUPON UNLESS IT IS CONVENIENT FOR THEM! Please beware of this faulty business as far as it goes with Groupons

Awful. The Groupon money went to waste. We tried for a couple weeks to get ahold of them but they never answer. Theres no hours in the website. We biked all the way down there and nobody was there.

Owner rude, we purchased a Groupon and she didnt honor it,she said we have to wait a week before we could use it,but her website says Reservation required 24 hrs in advance, we did call to make the reservation and mentioned the 24 hrs rule, but she didnt follow her own policy, I know is fun thing to do but with that type of owner I wont recommend this place, Crap CUSTOMER SERVICE

Fun adventure, however the bike seats were very uncomfortable.

Have not been able to get in touch with anyone and the time they contacted me they had no available time I did purchase the grupon for a family outing but base on the reviews I see I think I may have just lost my Money to bad it looks like fan I guess I have to set a star if it was up to me I would not put any because I have not got as far as to try it :(
