Got a regular mani just to try them out. Really nice job. Short nails so shape and consistency matter. Very relaxing experience. My technician was Betty. No painfyl stabbing, poking, hurting, snipping my skin, making me bleed as I have experience elsewhere on central. Will try again for pedi.

I came here because my go-to nail salons were closed or packed. I read reviews and gave it a shot. Not happy with my end result of my hands in particular. I came for gel pedi and a refill. They were able to take me when I walked in at 530. By 7 I had just sit down for my refill (they close at 730). Two women decide to do my hands and rushed so much that my hands were not even, not shaped how I wanted and clearly were more worried about leaving on time. And the price?! NOT “affordable”. My total was $95!!!! WTH. Sorry but not sorry. Never again!

Each time i go, i get the full service which includes a hot stone massage of the legs. This is an excellent way to give yourself a treat. Every once in a while i get manicures as well. Nice little place on Central Avenue.

I love this place. They have opened a million Nail places around and I have tried some. I always go back to Raquels. The girls are great, you get the same service regardless of who is doing your nails, which is difficult, and if I have no appointment, the waiting time is not bad at all.

Best in the Heights. Always my go to salon. Eyebrow waxing is clean and done great. Pedicures are awesome the stone massages feel nice. They remember your name and are very nice.

Never went here before but came here on a Tuesday when Cuteicals was packed and had no openings for a manicure. I’m SO glad because I always walk into Cuteicals gagging because the awful chemical smell is always so INTENSE. It’s really awful.Anyway Raquel’s is quiet and not as busy But I’ve had my manicure for 4 days now and not a chip! That’s why I’m writing this review. Everywhere I’ve been going for a manicure, Cuteicals included, my nails are chipping by day 2, here not only is Raquel sweet as pie but there’s NO chemical smell and I got a $10 manicure that’s lasting! I do put an organic gel coat on top on my own but this never deters the chipping, this time Rachel put some base coat that just made the polish glide on perfectly and her skills are top notch, I think that’s why this manicures lasting. I gave her some tips on updating her place, and if she does, I feel she’ll be doing great business as well. Try this place out, don’t let the understated interior fool you. Chandeliers and fancy interiors don’t always mean better service.
