Our small dog was possibly chocolate poisoned. I understand it’s a business but they will literally let your dog die in front of you if you don’t make the full amount right away. They will absolutely not work with you, total bill was $1500 and we asked to work out some kind of payment plan or if we could pay 75% of it that day (3am) and the rest on Monday but they would rather let your dog die over remaining $300 then let you pay the next day or so. They’re in the business of making money which I kind of get but the lack of sympathy for pets health or the pandemic is disgusting. Try a different pet hospital for better care of your pet.
I really appreciated the kindness shown to both me and our sweet dog on Saturday evening after my dog experienced a seizure. Dr. Rumbaugh was professional, thorough, and very compassionate as we made some difficult decisions about our 13 1/2 year old cavalier as we returned a second time after another seizure. She allowed me to sit in the car with our dog and face timed with our daughter. I will forever appreciate her sympathy and thoughtful gestures.
Ill never return to this chain of hospitals. Our dog is in excruciating pain, unable to stand on his own without assistance, will only eat if we put the food in front of him and has been progressively getting worse as time goes on with lethargy and lameness (hours, not days). Our normal go to facility, All Pets in Katy, were up front with us and told us they had a 5 hour wait and that they recommended calling Blue Pearl cause they had a shorter wait. Before hanging up, they offered to send a Tech out just to look at our dog and make sure nothing was critically wrong that couldnt wait.I called Blue Pearl, who said they had a very short wait and to come in. I drove 40 minutes to get there and was told to call when I arrived and they would come get him and start treating him. Once I arrived, I called and they said there would be a short wait. About 15 minutes later they call and say it will be about 30 minutes... no problem, Im not that unreasonable. Fast forward an hour, I call them back, while still sitting out front, and the receptionist goes to see how long and they say possibly within the hour, but no guarantees.I had already been there an hour and a half and waited 30 minutes past when they were supposed to come out, being patient and courteous, cause no one likes a customer who thinks theyre the only one that matters. It already irked me that I had to call them to get an update long past their initial quote on time and then tell me they dont know when theyll get to me, cause they have critical patients. I dont know whats wrong with my dog, it may turn out to be something that isnt serious, but right now hes in bad shape and in alot of pain, so Im a little disheartened by the implied dismissal of urgency in our pets case. Hell, the original ER vet we went too and who knew that we were ultimately going to head to another clinic still offered to send a Tech out to our car as courtesy just to ensure everything was okay.So ultimately, I put my pet who has limited mobility due to pain and movement hurts him, into a car to drive around Houstons notoriously bumpy and poorly maintained roads for a sight seeing adventure at best, cause nothing was accomplished in this 3 hour adventure. Meanwhile, he could have just stayed home, where hes most comfortable and continued resting.Needless to say, Ill never use or recommend this pet hospital to anyone. Ill stick with All Pets, even if they have an extraordinary long wait time.
Money-first kind of place. My cat was dying and they were more concerned about the $160 to look at him than anything else. Go to sunset, its down the street, way more compassionate and fairly priced.
I took my dog here on a Saturday afternoon because he wouldnt stop throwing up. I waited less than an hour, and the staff was very friendly and upfront with their prices, and the vet was very patient with answering all of my questions. For an exam and an injection to make him stop throwing up it was just under $200, but I expected to pay that much given that its an emergency pet hospital.
Blue-pearl answered the phone, unlike other after-hour hospital that had a 10 hour wait.Blue Pearl asked good questions and quickly found the issue and kindly treated my pup. Hopefully, we won’t need another emergency vet visit, but if I did, I’d come here.
Took my small dog in for an emergency procedure, and the staff was really nice and responded quickly. My dog had their procedure done in less then a few hours. They had amazing staff!
Our cat was experiencing some breathing issues. The staff was professional and helpful from initial phone call to diagnosis and suggested course of action. Very professional team.
My dog had to have TPLO surgery on both legs. It’s worth the money. Dr Payne did a great job.
