Their wait times are always 20 minutes to 2 hours long … today was the last straw I gave them the benefit because I had a good experience the first time, however as I continue to go my experiences just get worse and worse, this recent tech visit just made me so upset because she could not provide a logical response as to why a dog that would eat an entire bag of dog food if left unattended, ALL THE SUDDEN “by coincidence..” no longer had an appetite after her shots and heart worm and flea preventative…. She said noting given could have possibly caused that which is just not true my dog was not like that before, something she was given caused and I just wanted to know the supposed vet that saw me previously was there and couldn’t be bothered to speak to me, I did not like this techs service and I will not be going back to this location. Also I’d just like to add I just consulted with another veterinary clinic and they were able to simply answer my question that the heart worm prevention does cause appetite to reduce, not a coincidence just a simple answer to a simple question
Dr. Menzie and vet tech Jordan were very loving and gentle with my scared baby kittie! I highly recommend taking your pet here for caring people and top notch treatment! It’s always scary trying a new vet but they were very nice and explained everything they were doing before they did it. Happy to have found a new doctor to take care of my cat!
Took my dog here because he had a limp and we wanted to get him checked out. We were able to walk in and their team was able to see him right away. Their team is very sweet and knowledgeable and definitely helped us out!
Our first visit was today and Joni was super informative on how Onyxs visit with her and Dr. Menzie went. Onyx is a rescue who came with generalized anxiety, touch sensitivity, and slight reactivity. Im a certified dog trainer who uses force free/positive reinforcement methods and Onyx has come such a long way. Finding a veterinary practice who is Fear-Free Certified is just what we needed in order to keep her on the right path! Joni reassured me they helped Onyx relax during her visit (she was nervous/afraid at first) and took the time she needed to help her with a nail trim and booster! Thank you all so much for helping my girl!
I use to love love love this place..lost all good vets..and techs..went to drop my dog off for shots..which they did take drop offs..then we were told we could not leave hevery unprofessional..had to drive back home to drop her off to go to work..wasted hour
We dropped off our sweet Daisy for her dental cleaning/surgery at 7am. The morning drop off was EXTREMELY chaotic and it was obvious that a.) HVC was understaffed b.) completely overbooked or c.) both. When I picked her up, I intuitively knew something was wrong with her but was told she was just extremely groggy from the anesthesia. She had a blank look in her eyes and also soiled herself in the lobby. The day after, Daisy began acting a bit strange, running into corners and chairs around the house and pacing in circles, something she had absolutely never done. When we received a call from HVC checking on Daisy, we explained this and they suggested her after care meds might be too strong and they we should cut back a bit. We did. Two days later in the early afternoon, Daisy began frantically running around in circles. We rushed her to the emergency room near by. They kept her for observation overnight and suggested that we transfer her to GCVS. After several days and countless tests, the vets at GCVS concluded that the original snowball that caused this entire nightmare was either the anesthesia given at the time of her dental surgery or a lack of proper hydration during or post-op hospital care that was too stressful on little body. Either caused by an awful oversight due to the overbooking or being understaffed or just plain neglect or lack of experience. Our baby girl passed, a few weeks after her visit to HVC, peacefully and surrounded by those that love her unconditionally. Also worth noting that even though HVC was receiving Daisy’s reports from the various hospital visits, we were never contacted by HVC to check on her well-being which was something that was previously done following an emergency hospital visit the year prior due to a bee sting. Never offered to cover some of the expenses, which if you’ve ever taken your baby to GCVS, you know can be quite a bit. Never even sent a card, or email even, offering their condolences. They only reached out after I sent them an email with these same facts listed above. At which point I found out that they had advised to give her gabapentin the night before her procedure, the morning of her procedure, then THEY also gave her another dose when she was admitted, followed by another dose after her procedure. Although I am not a vet, this seems like an over dose for such a small dog (9lbs, normally 11).Also, after my experience, I learned that SEVERAL other dogs had issues during dental procedures. Granted it was not the same issue we had but it is very concerning that this many issues happen frequently.I’d advise to take your fur babies elsewhere. This place has gone downhill from what it used to be. Advocate for your sweet babies, run fast and far away from here.I know that my baby had many healthy years left in her and can only blame myself for not being a better advocate for her that could have avoided this dark ending in the first place. Everyone that met her absolutely adored her and would marvel at her age since she did not act or seem to be a senior girl. She lived her life full of energy and sass, like the young puppy at heart she was. She is extremely missed and are hearts will never stop aching for her.
They are absolutely awesome here! They took my old friend in short notice which I was greatful for because he was having heart problems. Also it didnt break my pocket book... above all, they genuinely cared.
Great vets - terrible techs. When I brought my first pup for two surgical procedures here, the tech didnt communicate all my requests to the vet properly so not all the requested services were provided and the procedures were not done in order requested. The doctor was still great so I decided to give the place a second chance and brought my second pup for his dental cleaning, the tech this time was really intransigent and refused to accommodate any of my requests which made me feel uncomfortable trusting them with any further care for either of my pups.
If you are reading this please do not spend your money here. You deserve better and so does your pet.CHARGED me to remove stitches and left them in.Before my appointment they asked me several times what medication my dog was on. I responded the medication you prescribed at last visit. The tech had no idea. The confusion here is baffling. They are happy to waste your time & money and won’t communicate properly. Always blaming another tech or employee for the mistake or miscommunication. Will definitely add unnecessary things to your bill. Tried to have my dog billed again for a heart worm test when she already had one the month prior. Severely unorganized.I wouldn’t go here even if I could afford to waste money on their overpriced services. The service itself is awful. Choose somewhere that wants to treat your animals and you with respect. This place just wants your money. They have a really bad attitude to match.
We have had a really negative experience with this veterinarian. They refused to accommodate us when our dog became sick with anything other than a “walk in appointment” where we may or may not be seen and we wouldn’t have an idea of how long we’d have to wait. Their receptionist was rude and condescending on the phone and implied that I needed to drop everything (in this case medical appointments for my human children) to work with their weird system or I didn’t care about her. They did give me the name of another vet, who saw our dog quickly and was very kind, but that’s the only good thing I can say. When I wrote an honest but negative review about my experience they cancelled our existing preventive care appointments, took away my access to their patient portal and have not responded to requests for vaccine records (though they did send partial medical records) without calling/checking in/or giving me a heads up. They are unprofessional, immature and should strive to treat people with more respect. Just a really awful, overpriced practice with a bad attitude. Our business will go elsewhere but frankly it seems like that’s what they want.
They’re the best and have helped my dog through the toughest of times since he’s gotten parvo at a puppy stage. Without them, he wouldn’t be here today. For that I am forever grateful and trust them, for the days, hard work and care they provided him. He’s always happy to see the technicians and vets alike and wants to jump out the car when he sees he’s gonna go to here. They always provide advice and do everything they can to help him. Thank you so much.
So thankful to have found this place! Took care of my sweet Gracie girl and her anxious mama from start to finish. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff! Knowledgeable, professional, affordable and caring!
I love bringing my dog here! The vets and staff are always incredibly friendly and I love that they have daily walk-in hours which make it really convenient. I went today for a walk-in appointment and they were great about social distancing. Their current curbside vet service is wonderful and so safe during these uncertain times. They just call you with updates and to speak with the vet and all payment is done over the phone so you never have to step inside the clinic. Highly recommend!
My dog cut his paw open on Sunday. So of course I called my vet but they where not available at the time so I tried to find another Vet place which ended up bing this one. I read the reviews and saw some good ones and bad ones. I went ahead and took a shot at it because i was worried of my poor baby. They excepted walk in which was great and told me waiting time is usually 30-45 minutes long. I waited almost 2 hours. That was the first issue. Then I was informed by Dr. Maislos that my dog will need stitched, but because I fed him already they can not do that today. I would have to come back the next day and drop him off between 7:00AM-7:45AM i was there at 7:20 and dropped him off. They informed me that he will be done by noon. I called at noon fo updated and the girl who answered informed me that they are doing the suiters now on him... that was a surprise on my end.. 10 minutes later DVM Lisa L. Pina called and told me that he will not get sutures done as it is not needed. I informed her that I was confused to why I left my dog their than... She than was very rude interrupted me and explained me very quickly why she thinks he does not need it! She also told me not to talk till she is done. Which was also very rude. I did waited till she explained herself and than when she was done I asked her if I can finally ask her questions and explain her my frustration, not even a minute went by she cut me off an yelled at me, I asked for her name again as I did not catch it the first time and thats when she said you will have to talk to the manager and that i need to call cause she will not direct me to her and HUNG UP ON ME!!! Like really? SO I called again, spoke to Lauren the Manager and she was kind, she said that they record all calls and she will hear out the call. I hope that this is not a lie because DVM. Pina has an attitude problem! Never in my life was I the customer being yelled at.Lauren if you really can hear the call, you will need to sit down and straiten this up with her. I also recommend that maybe DVM Maislos and DVM Pina should come to an agreement to what procedure will be done that way things like these wont happen. When it comes to trying this vet place again, I dont think I will give it a shot, or at least not till they have like 20 new reviews that are all positive because this was super awful.
Dr. Menzie has been taking care of my precious pooches since before her arrival at Heights Veterinary Clinic. I drive quite a ways to continue that care because her level of care, knowledge, compassion, and general expertise is second to none.I have only ever experienced friendly and helpful staff here at HVC. I actually enjoy the Curbside treatment option!! First off, pets usually do better without feeding off their neurotic, over-protective owners while the vets and techs are trying to work. Secondly, if you have a reactive dog, (as I do) Curbside spares you the embarrassment. 😬😬 Plus, ya know, there’s a pandemic, soooooo...I was reading some of these bad reviews regarding Curbside service, and thought I bet these are EXACTLY the people who freak their pets out on vet trips!! Calm down folks. Get a grip.
I had to make the hardest decision to put our dog to sleep. He was my child. As difficult as it was, this vet was so comforting. They gave us a private room and left us with a doorbell until we were ready. We were never pressured. We got the ashes today and the company they use does a magical job.
I went in because my cat’s soft paw had started growing into the paw pad. I didn’t have an appointment since my usual vet didn’t allow walk ins I went to Heights veterinary clinic. They were busy but still took us in and were able to get the nail clip off easily and my cat didn’t even seemed bothered which is unusual for her. Everyone was very nice and apologetic for the wait. I think I found my new vet!
The clinics was very professional and the techs were really nice. My problem is with their pricing. I moved from Cypress to the Heights and expected to pay more. Well did I. My old vet would have charged $129 for the same service at the Heights Vet cost me $243. I did not price check. Buyer be ware!!!
I brought in my dog as a new client during COVID for an urgent need (anal gland abscess). They took walk in appointments, were very knowledgeable and helpful, had a well-run socially distant system, and were quite affordable to top it all off. Highly recommend! We will be coming back soon for the dental package for the pups! Don’t hesitate to check them out for your pet needs!
We just recently got a pup and I’m so glad we went to Heights Vet Clinic! The staff treats our dog like he’s their own and I couldn’t ask for anything better. We had him fixed about a month ago and it’s been a very smooth process. He healed well and they called to check in and make sure he was doing ok on top of a follow up appointment. The prices are competitive with other high quality vets around. Love the staff and their hours are great for working pet parents.
I brought my dog who had a broken toe nail there yesterday. Because they changed their policies to curbside only, I was not allowed to get in with my dog which caused extra anxiety for him, and it was our first time so he was more anxious with this new place. They said I need to give him 200 mg vetprofen and 400 mg cefpodomixime just to calm him for the night so next day it will be easier to do the exam. In the estimate prescription they billed for $247!!! for exam, sedation, bandage, trim and these extra calming medicine. I had to pay for 40 dollar for those four tablets (not even sure why 2 different types but whatever) right away which then i found it costs $3.80 in chewy. I didnt give him those tablets and couldnt wait the next day so I went to banfield who immediately accepted the walkin and didnt charge for any of these items mentioned. We only paid for the doctors visit and they gave us antibiotic to prevent infection. The doctor said you would never do sedation or any of those unnecessary things for this very common case. In a nutshell she was just doing her job as a doctor, not trying to take advantage of the situation or trying to sell us medication 10 times more expensive. When I called heights veterinary clinic to return those sedation tablets that werent used or even touched, they refused the return&refund by saying “according to our doctor those medication cannot be returned, we are sorry”. They are not care providers, they dont care your pet, they only care how much money they can make by taking advantage of your vulnerability and love for your pet. By the way they are inconsistent even between the estimate price and actually charged price for the same medication. (8 pills were estimated for $24.64 and i paid $21 for just 2 pills)
My dog was examined by Dr. Pina. She was rude, impersonal and ultimately caused my dog more harm than good. However the customer service experience leading up to the appointment was impressive. What a let down.
The staff were all so sweet and informative and patient! Their Covid-19 social distancing measures are organized and streamlined! One of the best vet experiences I have ever had!
Great & friendly staff. The services are currently curbside but Dr. Menzie was happy to answer my questions and informed about all the vaccinations available for my kitten via phone.
I had an amazing experience bring my eight week old puppy to Heights Veterinary Clinic for the first time. Even though I was unable to go into the appointment with him due COVID-19 precautions, their curbside service was very well run and I was able to have phone calls with both the vet tech and the veterinarian. They took the time to answer all my questions about my new puppy. I embarrassingly let my car battery die as I was waiting in the car during my puppys appointment, and the vet tech took the time out of her day to jump start my car and they brought water and a treat for my puppy as he was waiting in the car during this process. I would highly recommend! Thank you.
I have been away from Heights Veterinary Clinic for a few years due to a relocation. I had forgotten just how wonderful they are!!! I referred a friend who needed to have his dog euthanized. He had never been there, but I knew how wonderful and compassionate they had been with me during the same experience, so I sent him over. Even without ever having met him or his beloved pet, they were kind, empathetic, patient and made a horrendous experience as comfortable as possible. Then we had a minor emergency with one of our pets just a few days ago. Many of the doctors are different from when I was a client previously, but Dr. Menzie didnt disappoint. She was sweet and kind with our baby and with us, and the medical treatment was impeccable. Thank you for still being here. We will see you again soon, and I am glad to be coming home.
This place has changed management and is just out for your money now. I used to pay max 120$ for a dog to get annual shots and the price has now increased over 2x per dog. They constantly ask you if you want to pay for additional costs that you don’t need. Really not the vet it used to be. Super disappointing how much has changed.
Heights vet was extremely thoughtful and caring. My cat was very nervous and in pain and she swiftly cared for her and tried her best to calm her. She was thorough in her exam and gave me some good recommendations on how to avoid having her get another allergic reaction. I have been there several times with rescues and they are always so kind and helpful.
Good vet and mostly reasonable prices. Long walk in times but thats to be expected. That being said once youre in the room expect about an hour start to finish. Theyre usually pretty busy
Just had the worst experience here. I had an appointment today. I received a text message saying that their phones were not working. When I came to the office I went inside. I was rudely told to go outside to call and check in. They said their phones were now working. Ugh! I went outside to call and a young woman came out and told me to get in my car. I suppose it wasn’t the message, just the way it was delivered. We are taking our dog back to Bingle Vet.
Dog got in dog fight on a Saturday morning. Heights Veterinary Clinic is our regular vet but no more. They would not see our dog on an emergency basis for puncture wounds. All is well, dog was seen by Westbury Animal Hospital and given meds for his wounds, no sutures needed. Do not count on this vet for help when you most need it.
Great friendly staff, on-time, and very thorough examinations. I am so happy I have Heights Vet as the care provider for my pets. They are also very involved in treating rescue dogs and offer special rates for rescues!
New favorite people! They took my FeeFee in and examined her, then determined they could follow a more frugal route for my benefit. FeeFee is back to her bouncy self!! THANK YOU !!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wonderful vets! Genuinely care about your pets and their heath! Call to check up on them after you come in when you pet has a problem just to make sure their meds did well and everyone here is very understanding and loving. Highly recommend!
The staff here are very friendly and the veterinary doctor is super nice and does a great job with a thorough exam and explaining everything. I like how they take their time and don’t make it seem as if they are in a rush.Wait time, if no scheduled appointment, is not that long but the office seems to be very busy at all times cause of the obvious great quality care provided so it would be best to make an appointment.
Our family was fortunate enough to be adopted by a little black cat named Venom. She allowed us to care for her short life of 8 months before falling sick to feline leukemia. The staff at Heights Vet clinic were amazing and super compassionate as we made the decision to put her down. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby and being so genuine.
Great experience with their curbside service, had an emergency with my cat and they took us as a walk-in with no appointment. Consultation with the doctor on the phone, got the help we needed.
My wife took our new rescue in. She was able to get him seen before heading to work during their walk-in morning hours.
Years ago different vets. Never go for recommending you take your loved one to vergi emergency critical care hospital. 10 thousand dollars later. Lost my baby girl
They did a great job boarding our pup. It was last minute but they were able to make it work. When I picked her up she was clean and ready to come home. The vets and nurses were also friendly.
Would not go back here again. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. After your appointment is finished you have to wait AGAIN to be called up to pay with an already shaken up, sick pet. The waiting room is freezing and they have ceiling fans on high making it even colder. There are barking and jumping dogs in the waiting room, which every vet has, but they make your pet even more nervous which is why it’s not a good idea to spend more unnecessary time in there when you’re ready to go! Not a good set up at all. Exam room was very dirty. Vet tried to way over prescribe. It reminded me of going to the doctor for an ear infection and getting a bunch of prescriptions for things you don’t have and then the doctor trying to schedule you for surgery when all you went in there for was some antibiotics. North Durham animal hospital is way better! They are fast, efficient, and get you out of there right away. They solve the problem at half the price and North Durham’s vet is a graduate of Baylor College or Medicine. If they hadn’t been closed this particular day I would have never tried this place, so save your money, time, and nerves and go elsewhere.
Being new to the Heights area, I needed to quickly find a vet to see my dog. I did a Google search of Vets in the Heights and saw the great reviews written on Heights Veterinary Clinic. I loved the fact that they offer open clinic from 2-5:30 in the afternoons so I decided to take my dog to the clinic.Dr. Lisa Pina was the vet that we saw and she was very nice and concerned about my dogs condition. She explained everything very clearly. Her vet tech was also great. The front office staff greeted me kindly and explained their procedures to me.I would recommend this veterinary clinic.
Im giving up on this place. They are always overselling prescription medications and do not seem to care about getting to the root of the problem. They do not listen, it seems like their record keeping system is not organized, and they push expensive prescription drugs way too hard. They are not good at communicating.
I have had 3 different cats there. We are independent and do everything by donations typically called in directly to the Vet.Each time we have gone. We let them know it will be paid by donations. They are so kind. They treat the cat first. And wait for the donations to come in. They do not withhold care until the money comes in.They have even donated medication toward the care of one of the cats we have had there. They are amazing. And friendly. And most importantly knowledgeable and caring about animals. They put the animals first and foremost.Thank you for your dedication to the voiceless Heights Veterinary Clinic!
Heights Veterinary is PHENOMENAL. Dr. M. Menzie and her staff are wonderful. The fees are incredibly reasonable. I will ALWAYS bring my pets there. We were seen on a Saturday during the COVID-19 outbreak, and they had an efficient curbside service in place. Dr. Menzie called me to let me know her findings and answered all my questions. As a new patient, we were sent home with medications in about thirty minutes or so. All the staff I spoke with were professional. A few days after the visit we received a Welcome card in the mail with a Heights Veterinary magnet. Keep up the AWESOME work!
I went 1/17/19. My dog was in a state of suffering so went to this clinic for help. As soon as I walked in nurses where on the radio contacting help and took him to the back room to better him. There was no hesitation. Unfortunately I came to the conclusion I was not ready to take care of him and give him the love and resources he needed as a pitbull. One of the nurses were eager and to my surprise actually happy to adopt him. Im very grateful for these lovely ladies that worked that day. Not only did i find a solution in which will help him but they also gave him a new home in which i know will provide him with all the love he needs. Much love for these vets.
Our dog Walt developed a mystery illness in February that ultimately took him from us in early April (a post-mortem found a rare, difficult-to-diagnose, and untreatable cancer). The team at HVC fought tooth and nail to keep him here and keep him comfortable--they did *everything* for him. As the inevitable bills piled up, they also became more and more attentive to the financial burden we were under, and made recommendations that balanced care and cost as much as possible. They became Walts second family. I recently called about a stray that needed some attention, and in the course of checking in, the receptionist saw in our account that we had a pet with them before. She said, Previous patients..Walt...oh yeah, aw, Walt. Yall, this was months later and she very obviously remembered him and was sad all over again. I cannot, CANNOT recommend them enough. Its weird to gush about someone while also grief-crying, but thats a testament to how amazing they were during the worst of times.
I always felt comfortable bringing my dogs and cats here. They were more than nice to me and my pets. I brought a stray, really young baby kitten, I thought was a hopeless case, and their advice about what to do got it well and thriving. She has since become our house cat and having a wonderful life with us.
The staff and vets here are amazing and always take such good care of my cats! I would definitely recommend them for quality, reliable pet care.
I have brought my dogs to Heights Veterinary Clinic for about 10 years. One recent change that I appreciate is the addition of the online option of making advance appointments for routine visits (such as annual vaccinations), which cuts down considerably on time spent in a crowded waiting room at especially busy times. While there have been some changes in staff over the years, I have seen no change in the excellent level of care. Staff have shown not only professional competence but a caring attitude toward their 4-footed patients & emotional support for grieving pet owners when medical treatment has, inevitably, reached its limit.
Staff and doctors are excellent. Very reasonable pricing. The office looks like it is run out of an old house so thier overhead is pretty low allowing them to offer good prices on exams and medications. Will be back next year
I went to your clinic that morning as a walk in and the front desk was great and the techs but Dr. Morgan Menzie and her tech Lauren Baum were very caring, but most of all helpful with the 2 kittens I brought in as stray babies.thank you again and I will definitely be back.
First vet I have ever been to where my very anxious dog is not shaking so bad I have to carry him everywhere! He was a bit nervous for the exam itself, but otherwise he was very sociable with the staff. He let them pick him up and turn him over for the exam without me hovering over him. He never eats treats during vet visits, but he lapped up the cheese they gave him! And the price was very reasonable: $125 for an annual exam, a couple shots, and a fecal parasite check. I will be coming again!
Good people. Very busy. Techs and vets are top notch. Didn’t not try to bill me for things I didn’t need
The staff at Heights Vet Clinic are friendly and eager to be the best. Their drop off policy is very convenient. Bella always gets the best care and I get careful explanations about what was done and test results. We both have been happy with all visits.
My 4mo American Staffordshire loves the staff. Their prices are reasonable and at times the wait is longer than expected; but that comes with a walk in clinic. So far the best Vet I have used in all my years of being an pet owner & will continue to use them. Will definitely recommend them to other.
HVC saw my dog this morning for an injury when my regular vet was not responding. I thought the care was excellent and the fees were very reasonable.
I am always pleased with the treatment my dog receives at this clinic. Everyone there loves animals, and they know what they are doing!
I have been taking my pets here for almost 20 years. Dont judge the place by the old building, the staff is always friendly, helpful and love animals. Service is excellent and they will work with you to take care of all your animals needs. They have a large support staff and all the vets I have seen over the years have been excellent.
Great clinic with knowledgeable and caring veterinarians as well as great staff. They have helped my puppy on several occasions, easy to make an appointment and walkins are welcome as well. Pricing is reasonable unlike some of the over priced alternatives.
Brought my male cat in for follow-up visit after a 5 day hospitalization at Gulf Coast Emergency Animal Hospital due to total urinary blockage. I booked an appointment and experienced virtually no delay. Technician Jenelle was excellent. Dr. Pina thoroughly reviewed my cats treatment history from Gulf Coast. She examined him and answered all my questions. She ordered comprehensive blood work (totally appropriate under the circumstances), but did not try to sell me on any other expensive procedures. Prices were very reasonable. In my experience, all the staff at this practice are courteous, competent and professional. I believe I have found a new veterinarian and look forward to my next visit.
My dog had an eye infection and I needed to get him in to see a vet the same day. Heights Veterinary Clinic not only got him but also treated him with amazing care. The staff were very friendly and cost of the office visit was very affordable.
We took our puppy Evie there for a couple of check ups and some routine meds, they were very knowledgeable and did a great job making sure she was calm during her injections and assessment.
I have been taking my dogs to Heights Veterinary Clinic and I love the attention and care they have provided for my dogs. Dr. Hendricks always provides us with educational information to keep our dogs healthy. Their staff is professional and caring. I highly recommend this clinic. They are affordable and professional. Thanks guys.
What a great establishment! Such sweet assistants, front desk, and Dr Menzie- My dog was greatly taken care of and this is my vet home for my sweet dog from now on. I love going to establishments where people are happy to work there- I was able to call in the morning to get an afternoon appointment- Thank you HVC!
They are GREAT!! They love our furry friends/family! I highly recommend them!!
I have been coming here for at least 7 years with my pets. I believe the service I receive is appropriate for my pet’s needs. Good quality care.
These people are the very best. Dr. Menzie is a ROCK STAR. She took our yorkie Maximus -- who couldnt walk because both back legs needed an operation. She gave us back a dog that wont walk -- BECAUSE NOW MAXIE RUNS!! The techs are magnificent. The front office is professional and very friendly. Everyone there truly, truly cares about your pet (child). When was the last time someone told you that their dog LIKES going to the vet. Well, Im tellin ya now. Go nowhere else.
OUTSTANDING!!!! I WALKED IN WITH A KITTY I JUST FOUND...SAW US RIGHT AWAY...THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS WARM...FRIENDLY...AND VERY HELPFUL...DOCTOR TOOK HIS TIME WITH US AND NAME THE KITTY HOT ROD...ALL WORKED OUT WELL...I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AND TAKE ANY OF MY PETS THERE...THANKS HEIGHTS VETERINARY CLINIC...I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HELP...
Fast, friendly service for walk-ins. And they take the time to listen to the issues and explain any medications your pet may need. It is an older building, but this does not affect the quality of their service. I also appreciated that unlike many other Houston vets they do not insist on taking your pet out of the exam room without you.
I have been a client of Heights Vet for 22 years. I feel like family. They have taken excellent care of all my pets over the years, helped me through illnesses and passings with care and compassion and welcomed my new pets with open arms. Many of the staff have been there for years. I look forward to seeing them and its nice to be recognized. Great place!!
My dog is a rescue and Ive had him for several years but regardless any person or place that is new terrifies him. He got to see Dr. Menzie and she was so wonderful with him as well as the Vet tech. Dr Menzie was well trained in fear free practice and took time and a lot of care to make him feel comfortable so she could do a good exam. I took him in for an ear infection and some glands that needed to be released but again their bedside manner with him blew me away. He also received the proper treatment for his ear infection and got better in no time. I will definitely be returning.
Love the doctors here!!! They got our new cat all healthy for a very reasonable price! Thanks!!!
High volume vet clinic, at a pretty good value. Professional to a degree, but they didnt really follow up with pet after surgery, which is a first in my experience of owning pets for 15 years. On one occasion, was told a follow up visit would be free and was charged a full visit (even after telling them what they told me — they argued with the charge— cool :( ). But this is normal as most places want you to pay for everything.
I needed help with taking 3 of our Aussies into the isolation room from the car. The vet tech was extremely kind in helping me. The visit was just as smooth as it could be with 3 dogs. Dr. Albritton takes such care of the patients. Glad I took them in.
This place is amazing! They care about the your pets as if they were their own. Always professional, fast and very very very reasonably priced. I wouldnt take my pets anywhere else and is worth the 30min commute from my house!!!!
Has new owners. Seems more expensive than it used to be.They want routine visits, every few months for permanent/routine medicine. This was not required with my dogs that I previously had taken there from 2001-2015 that needed routine medicine. Also, less than half a year after the top level full examination/tests (around $500) to diagnose a collapsed trachea on a chihuahua, they called me to have annual tests done, which should have been included with their $500 full examination, or put in the file that annual was not needed.
This is the only clinic my Bengal cat has even known. All staff are courteous, professional, and they will go above and beyond to meet your needs. Dr Hendrix and his tech were so patient with my cat at my last visit, and got him ready for his trip to Europe. He is a Bengal after all and not easy to handle, but I trust them completely. They kept me informed and educated me thoroughly. We are moving to Europe, and we will miss this clinic dearly. Thank you for the great six years of care!!
Poor service. I waited more than 20 minutes in the car for my dog. The idea of waiting for dogs in the car is absurd if they do not have the system in place. The staff is careless about customer service.
We have been going here for years, we love everyone there, very friendly, clean, and professional. Dr. Pina is always great with our dogs. THANK YOU!!!
We were visiting our daughter in Houston last week and our sweet Suzy got sick very suddenly. We called our vet in Alabama and they felt like she needed to be seen. I called Heights Veterinary Clinic and they said bring her right in. I was very pleased with her care. We drove home today and Suzy is as good as new.
The curbside- no appointment system worked so well. I found a stray kitten that needed a check up and was able show up during curbside hours, and get him examined and was on my way in about 25 minutes. Plus the staff was so helpful.
This place is great! Out technician Janelle was so awesome and accommodating, and Dr. Pina is fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to work to accommodate our concerns and questions. Our puppy was treated like a celebrity and was so comfortable she slept through most of the visit. Convenient location, competitive pricing, and a bunch of Aggies to boot. Whats not to like?!?
I believe that the doctors and technicians are great, unfortunately, I cant say the same thing about the management. The first time I went to this clinic I thought everything was fine. My dog got a standard checkup and one set of vaccines. I paid for my visit and everything was fine. A month later when I tried to buy nexgard for my dog, the receptionist told me that I had not paid for my visit and still owed $150. After telling her that I had a receipt for my payment she told me everything was fine and that there was a mix up in my dogs paperwork. Everything was not fine though because when my boyfriend went to pick up the medicine they went ahead and charged my account for $150. After some research from me and the clinic we realized the receptionist had put down another dogs information on my account. They not only charged me for my visit which was also around $150, but for another dogs visit. Finally after showing them the receipt, they gave me a refund.I honestly wasnt going to give them another chance after that, but I really like the veterinarian that treated my dog, so I went for another check up.This time I made an appointment and when I went I waited an hour after having checked in and found that they had no recollection of my appointment. I wasnt even supposed to see a vet, it was just for a tech visit. The tech guy was kind enough to talk to a receptionist to get me some sort of discount and a free toy, but honestly I dont want to set foot in that clinic again. It is too chaotic and the management doesnt seem to know what they are doing. Its pretty ridiculous that a veterinary clinic would get their dog patients paperwork mixed up. I only set foot in there twice and twice they messed up.Find another vet!
Had to visit out of necessity and on a great recomendation. The service provided was top notch, almost to the level of spoiling my pup. She had to stay overnight and was cared for by two different doctors and multiple staff. The transition was seamless and thorough. The only way the situation could have been better, would have been for my pup not to have been sick at all. I will definitely pass on my experience and the recomendation in the future. Thank you to the doctors and staff, it is truly appreciated.
Just dont try to have emergency treatment close to closing, they are ready to go home. Called and explained that our dog seemed to be having an allergic reaction, perhaps bitten by something. She was scratching furiously, pink hives developing in her abdomen, and swelling in the torso. We were ten minutes away and they were open another half hour. Nope, cant see you. Faced with possible life or death complications they valued quitting time more than the dog. One of four doctors who were to close to gong home to care. Pathetic.
Not a long wait on their walk in service. But they handled having to put my dog to sleep very badly. I wont take another animal there. I regret not standing up for what I wanted. What was best for my dogs and my peace of mind was not addressed.
Thank you, Dr. Pina! I had a great experience with her and the rest of my staff in treating my cat with a blocked urethra. I dont think the condition was as bad as it was the first time, but I was so relieved to find there were more affordable treatment options than a four-figure surgery. I think their costs are much more affordable than other places in the area.
We have been coming for years, even after we moved to Pearland. What I love about them is that they will take the time to sit with you and your pet and explain all treatment options in detail. They never rush you and will take the time. A basic office visit is still just $42 which is pretty amazing.
Took my cat here recently. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Felt very at ease. Pl
I brought my cat to Heights Veterinary Clinic and was not very impressed with the service. I moved from another state where we loved the vet where my cat went, but I didn’t feel like our visit to Heights Vet Clinic didn’t really know how to treat a scared cat in an unfamiliar place. Cats cannot be calmed down by asking them to be nice. An initial check up to see my cat was $46.
This office is all about the $$$.. always felt overcharged. I went in to get my dogs stool tested for parasites as he had some minor soft stool.. he had his annual exam only 2 months ago, so I just wanted another stool test, was told that wasnt possible without a full exam by the vet.. this is a RIDICULOUS policy. I would understand if they hadnt seen my animal in over 6 months or a year, or if I was a new patient, but after a few years and a very recent visit, they couldnt do a simple stool test. The vets just dont seem like they have time and corporate style ownership has made this office seem sterile.. cant help test my dogs stool? Ill go somewhere else.. Adios.
Excellent service!
My dog broke her leg not soo long ago, i took her here because of the “great reviews” online. Long story short, we took her for revision on her cast, every week for around 3-4 months and once it was the time to take the cast off, they informed us that the cast “did not work”. The only option they gave us was to cut off her little leg. We refused to do this and looked for other options, my dog is now walking great in all of her 4 legs! Waste of time and money !
