The entire staff is friendly and definitely have a deep love of the pets they care for. Every time I have been here they have treated my puppy with the same loving care I would. I couldn’t be more pleased to be a customer and patient. Hands down the best we’ve experienced here.

This place is completely overpriced and should be avoided. After waiting 50 minutes past my appointment time to be seen by the vet, he spent less than 3 minutes in the room for an annual exam for two pets. He barely said anything to me then was out the door. And they charge $55 per pet for the exam. We’ve been bringing our pets to this vet clinic for 6 years, and they used to be great. Unfortunately it has been a horrible experience the past several times we’ve come in for annual exams and vaccines, so we will not be returning.

The BEST vet experience I have ever had from start to finish!! The people are what makes this place but I will also mention how clean and beautiful the building itself was! Everyone here was so kind, helpful, patient, and extremely loving and sweet to my pup! The girls at the front desk and our vet tech were top notch and clearly love what they do!! So so sweet and efficient! A very special thanks to Natalie who spoke with me over the phone with so much patience, kindness, and genuine understanding about my puppy and nervous pet parent concerns even before my boy was a patient. The vet, Dr. Crocker, exceeded all expectations (which were already high due to glowing reviews I had read)!! Her bedside manner was AWESOME! She was so so good with my pup and extremely patient with me. She answered all my questions and I never once felt dismissed or rushed. She gave great, clear answers to my questions and advice to my concerns. I just feel like I can trust her and that is so important to me! Truly everyone here went above and beyond for us and it was just so clear everyone there loves what they do. After having a very negative experience at another popular vet in the area I am beyond relieved to have found Oak Forest Veterinary clinic!! I will keep taking my boy here forever!!

Dr. Moore and her staff could not be nicer. They take top notch care of both of our cats. We have been going there for years, and we have had great experiences.I took one cat in recently for an upper respiratory infection, and Dr. Moore took the time to explain his condition and discuss his treatment with me thoroughly. A couple of days later, a staff member called to check on his progress. He’s doing much better!During the pandemic, they have been putting safety first. People are not allowed into the clinic. The system is simply to call when you arrive, and a tech comes out to your car to get your pet. Consultations are done by phone, and payment is taken at your car after the appointment. I had my first appointment today with this vets office. I am new to the area and called a few places to shop around on the services offered. The person who helped me at this office was thorough, provided me with answers to my millions of questions, and was patient with me on top of it. I read some negative reviews before coming in. I was hesitant but, I am glad I decided to judge for myself. The front desk staff was great and got me checked in right away. Next, Kaelin, a vet technician, greeted us. I dont think anyone could have been a better match for us. My dog has high anxiety but, Kaelin was fantastic and did a great job. She loved on her when needed and also stepped away when she felt necessary. I was very impressed. I then met with the doctor, Dr. Green. & all I can say is AMAZING & WONDERFUL. Also very patient with me and listened to my needs. Dr. Green and Kaelin discussed the best methods of approaching each situation with my dog. It worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this veterinarian office. I am going to continue to use them with my other dog next week.

We had a short trip planned and scheduled boarding for our 5 month old ShihTzu Charlie and then the Winter Storm hit Houston... We were unable to pick up Charlie as planned on Tuesday as expected, Jenelle one of the staffs boarding employees kept me updated daily on Charlie and kept my mind at ease throughout his entire stay. Weve utilized the talent of Oak Forest veterinary clinic for at least 10 years now. I cant recommend them enough. The staff is incredible and make our pups feel special every time they walk through the door. We had a rough year last year and lost a cat & both of our dogs. Very helpful and friendly staff! Took a stray found at the cemetery I work here and they were extremely helpful in giving him a full checkup and even boarding him while I tried to find an owner. Wound up keeping the pup and hes been back a few times for checkups and a minor surgery. Pesto is now a happy healthy dog and Im thankful to the staff here for all their help!Oh, and they even a useful online booking service for appointments and will send out regular updates on when youre next recommended appointment is!

My first encounter with this practice was due to the fact that it was dramatically nearer to my home than my normal veterinarian. I had a great consultation and rapport with the doctor who was exceptional in taking care of my pup. I was singing their praises. Sadly, I was never able to have that particular dr again.However, my last encounter was truly upsetting. I even left a response to their automated email, the one they send out after each visit, expressing my frustration with their complete lack of responsibility.Unfortunately, my pup suffers from recurrent yeast infections in his ear. Aware of this issue from my previous vets, the maintenance of anti-fungal ear drops, cotton swab cleanings of the ear, and the obvious pungent aroma that radiates from a yeast filled ear. Another infection arose around the time he gets his bi-annual allergy shot. Therefore, I decided to get the shot and inform the practice of his ear infection. Assuming they would prescribe me some fresh anti-fungal drops or even anti-fungal pills.I was handed my pup back and charged only for the shot. Aware of his ear infection... I asked “what about his ear?” They respond with “Dr said it’s fine.”I didn’t fuss. I made the decision then to never go back because they obviously don’t care about the health of my pet. I still had anti-fungal drops from my previous vet so I figured I’ll just continue what was previously prescribed.Fast forward to today(few months later). I’m out of drops and his ear is obviously infected again and he had an apparent partial seizure. I’m freaking out. My normal vet is unable to see me for a week. So, I decided to call oak forest because I recollect my first encounter and I’m worried about my pup. What if the yeast infection has caused sepsis or neurological problems? I called and expressed my concerns regarding my pup. Furthermore, expressed my frustrations with my previous visit and the fact that I was Not satisfied and was unhappy with their service. The lady was immediately defensive, saying “I had nothing to do with it.” Well, duh... but your practices is what I’m complaining about. I would have been satisfied with the generic “I’m sorry you had a negative experience... how can I assist...etc” none whatsoever. I then ask for the name of the veterinarian that my pup had seen last time because they apparently aren’t good at their job. The lady was unable to provide me the doctor stating “sometimes we have doctors come in that aren’t affiliated with oak forest, fillers.” Now, I’m more upset, my pup isn’t well, and oak forest is using doctors who they don’t claim accountability for nor have the capacity of clerical organization to know whom works at their practice. Yet, I love my pup and my ONLY concern is his ear infections and recent partial seizure. So, I schedule an appt.Low and behold 20minutes later I receive a call back. The nickel and dime aspect... “your pup is due for rabies and bordetella vaccine. Should I go ahead an add that to the visit.”Ummm, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I cannot thank the team at Oak Forest Vet enough. Very professional and showed us that they truly care about their customers (animals and owners). We are so glad we found them and will continue to us them for our vet needs.

Dr. Moore and the entire staff are wonderful. Dr. Moore has cared for my 2 sets of boxers for about 14 years. The dogs immediately fall in love w/ Dr. Moore and all her staff. Me? Im a little harder to impress because I AM THAT mother I am proud to report that I am very impressed and only Oak Forest will be trusted to care for my fur babies - GREAT JOB AND WE APPRECIATE EVERYONE!

Although my cat was not a patient at Oak Forest Clinic, they were referred to me for an emergency, and my cat was treated efficiently, swiftly and with great care. Vets, vet techs and receptionists are friendly, customer focused, and super efficient. I highly recommend them.

I rushed a neighborhood rescue over to OFVH on a Saturday and Dr. Crocker was very responsive. Ive kept the little guy and every time I go in Dr. Crocker remembers everything about him. The staff is so polite and helpful and thorough. Ive been several times since the pandemic started and the staff bends over backwards. to make this situation as pleasant as possible. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Biohazard fee (granted its $2.14, it can slide)3. Digital Radiology, ADDITIONAL VIEW ($65?!?!)4. Digital Radiology, INTERPRETATION ($16?!)Really???? Just look at my bill. Wont be coming back, and find it more worth it to drive to Cypress to go to the new Vangaurd clinic. They dont even charge a visit fee. I mean its just $53 to show up here.

Dr. Crocker and team care for our dog Mulligan as if she was their own. We feel like we are part of the family for every visit. They are patient, take time to hear our concerns and help find the best ways to keep Mulligan at her best. We (my pup and I) love this place! My pup is a patient and a regular boarding guest at Oak Forest Veterinary. The doctors and staff always take excellent care of my pup. I never feel like they are over-diagnosing or over-prescribing for any of her treatments. They are always reasonable! In addition to regular veterinary care, my pup also boards with OFVH regularly. She is always clean and in good spirits when I pick her up; obviously well-cared for and loved during her stay.

Hold on to your wallet. As a long-time patient, my Boxer Missy has spent plenty of time at this vet, usually for follow up visits. A trend for this vet is that fees, services, exams, and multiple prescriptions are all opportunities for them to up-sell. High, high prices compared to other Vet Hospitals in the area. The staff and vets recommend as much and as many tests as possible in order to charge the customer as much as possible for services that may be incomplete at the time of visit, requiring multiple follow up visits, more tests, more exams, more fees, more prescriptions. My Boxer had been a patient for many years, so I am very familiar with this Oak Forest Vet Hospital. Its hard to say if the care was competent because I was at the vet practically every month for follow up visits. I noticed an increase in fees, tests, prescriptions and products offered at this Vet when the construction was completed on their new facility. I do not recommend this Vet Hospital unless you want to pay high fees, unnecessary testing, and follow up visits. In fact, as soon as I challenged the high fees, testing, exams and prescription prices, they were no longer interested in treating my dog as a patient. Sad, after 6-7 years of treating my Boxer, Missy, it was all about the money for them.

All of the employees at this vet are amazing! They are thorough in their examinations and really care about the well-being of your pets. I have visited other vets when I moved out of downtown and havent had nearly as good of an experience as I have here. They will always have my business!

Very clean, professional and offers refreshments in the cute lobby. Super accommodating with vets and assistants who really love and care for each pet. They offer boarding to their clients and are more affordable than most vets Ive found. $53 for a cat exam.

I take my dog to Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital and could not be more pleased with the care he receives there. All of the vets are wonderful and take the time to make sure my dog is feeling his very best. And as his busy owner I always appreciate the promptness of the appointment and care the staff gives us during check-in and check-out process.

I have never felt more comfortable at a vet clinic ever. Dr. Maher is a kind, understanding, knowledgeable veterinarian that takes her time to explain your pet’s situation in detail. The Techs are amazing as well! Highly recommend.

Very happy to recommend this vet. I have been using them for years. I think their service has continued to improve over the years. The staff is genuinely interested in the client. The vets are experts, but not overconfident. They have a set of special digital x-ray systems that I have not seen in other clinics.

One of my two dogs wound up there after being hit by a car. They stabilized him and said, you have less than ten minutes to get him to the emergency vet. They took my other dog last minute for the day and said, Dont worry about him. They will have my business as long as I have pets in Houston, TX. ALSO...the most reasonably priced after three different vets (Washington Heights included)....with three furry friends, IT MATTERZZ.

AMAZING staff! Each time I visit, they are eager to greet my pets...they probably treat them better than we do. Extremely friendly and helpful.I called with a (sort of) emergency for my cat and they asked how quickly I could come in. I could tell when I arrived that they werent really open any longer but had seen me especially. They have gone above and beyond! The doctor even called personally to check in a few days later.The space is remarkably clean. They have a well-stocked play area for children and beverage and waiting area for adults. Im so happy to finally have a superior veterinary clinic in the neighborhood!

Top shelf, but so are the prices, so be prepared to make half a car pmt when you leave! But again, your pet will get the best of care.

Kendall and I have been bringing our dog and cat (Cas and Nala) here since we moved to Houston. The entire staff is incredibly helpful and clearly love being around and helping animals. When we drop off Cas for boarding, hes so excited to be there he leaves without saying goodbye and even Nala likes coming for her checkups! Thank you guys for everything you do!

We take both our dog and cat to Oak Forest Vets, and we would highly recommend them for all animals. We have also boarded our cat during our recent honeymoon. The reception staff is always friendly. The vets take time to answer any questions that come up and even have returned our calls when we have had questions previously. Appointments are always handled on time. They gave us a tour of the boarding facility before dropping off our cat. The kennels are more spacious than others we had seen and included a window view to watch the birds outside! He hates boarding in general, but seemed to tolerate his stay here. We plan on taking our animals here for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely wonderful team that works here! This was my first time visiting (new patient), and I was a little stressed and freaked out as my cat had gotten sick and I didnt know what to do. They were able to schedule me at last minute and were repeatedly able to keep me calm by reassuring me what it could be, what they were doing, options for further diagnosis, etc. Ive found my new local vet!

I have loved my experiences with Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital. They have always been patient with all of the questions of this first-time dog owner. At the front desk I have gotten answers quickly and politely. When they have said they will call back, they do.The care we have gotten from the doctors and tech. people has been professional, but also very humane. Not only do they just care about animals, they care about MY animals. I feel it and my dogs do, too.The new facility is wonderful, and I love the extras they considered like a nook with a wall where dogs uncomfortable around other dogs or cats can sit and feel safe. We had a dog with a problem that required several different tests and Dr. Cardenas walked us through all the options and tests and explained everything in clear and easy to understand ways. I love Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital! Ive taken my pets to a few different clinics over the years and Oak Forest is without a doubt the best of the bunch. With each appointment, we are consistently welcomed with kindness and enthusiasm as soon as we walk through the door. When my pets have sustained injuries, the office staff always follows up with a phone call about a week after our appointment to make sure theyre on their way to recovery. They truly care about their patients and do a great job of solidifying my confidence in their abilities.

The veterinary assistants get to know your pets and genuinely like the animals. The veterinarians have been caring and provide clear explanations about what is going on with our pets. When one of our dogs was in distress, the doctor helped us by providing us with a meaningful discussion of the pros and cons of various treatment options. When it was time to let her go, their process made a stressful situation easier.

We recently moved our 14 year old “pup” to oak forest vet after having some frustrating visits with a nearby clinic. They have been outstanding from day one. The front staff is very personable and kind. Dr. Maher is very professional and knowledgeable about our dogs health. We’ve been having some health issues the older she gets and I always leave feeling comfortable about our next steps. Truly appreciate the follow up calls to check on our dog as we’re trying different things and it can get confusing what needs to be done/looked for. Highly recommend them for all your pet needs.

I took my dog Lilly in for a knee problem. Dr. Moore was able to come in and give a correct diagnosis and offer solutions to the problem. The staff is very friendly and prompt with service. This is a great vet practice and highly recommend them to all pet owners!

They have helped us with the care I would only expect from family, or a close friend. I could not ask for more competent, and helpful vet.

Ive taken my roommates to oak forest for 8 years, I rated it a 4, because they are constantly improving. They care about you the pet parent as much as for your pet. If I rated them with a 5 then thats as high as one can go, on a scale from 1-100, they are 99. Thats an A!!

He had a fun visit and never noticed he was getting his vaccinations because Monique was loving on him and giving him cheese whiz while Dr. Crocker did her exam and gave him his shots. One of the most modern, well equipped veterinary hospitals I have seen. The new building is gorgeous too. It was a pleasure to photograph their virtual tour for Google Maps.

A little expensive, but worth the money. When my dog had a skin issue the front office did a great job getting the medication to us ASAP. The vet called me to check up on our dog.

Dr. Moore and the other vets and staff at Oak Forest Veterinary Hospital are AWESOME! I drive quite a distance to bring my pets to bring my pets here—but Its totally worth it! Beautiful new clinic, better parking, friendly staff.

I have been using Oak Forest Veterinary Clinic for almost two years now and after my last visit, I decided to write a review. This is a great clinic. They have several different vets and Ive seen a couple of them and they are all outstanding. They have helped me get a very unhealthy dog back to the point where she receives a clean bill of health. My dachshund Squeekers had her second dental with them and they do the best job. I am never caught off guard when her dental work is done because they always give me an estimate. Luckily, the actual cost is always below the estimate. I especially appreciate that the vet types up personalized paperwork that talks about how her procedure went. Ive worked at vet offices before and I love this place. Its clean, all of the staff are great and the back area is well kept. I just feel like my dog is in caring, loving hands. All of the vets Ive seen are very thorough with their exams and do their best to love on my dog while being professional. Ive seen Dr. Moore, Dr Cardenas and Dr. Turek and They ALL are top notch. Dr. Cardenas is my favorite and she always makes sure she gives my dog extra butt pats, which she loves!

We started going to Oak Forest Vet Clinic a few months ago and so far were very happy. Dr. Cardinas is very kind and thoughtful and always answers our questions. Their prices are very reasonable, visits are quick, and we have no major complaints so far!

The staff is compassionate and understanding. Dr. Crocker is great! I recently had to put down my 17 yr. old dog and Dr. Crocker, along with the vet techs, were very considerate and understanding.

I am absolutely devastated!I left my two dogs at this place for a week; one of them is diabetic, and requires insulin twice a day. At the time of drop off he was doing great, Today I picked them up both dogs, the bag of food and their toys. It was not until I got them home that I noticed my schnauzer is blind. The care taker did not say anything to me not a single comment! The reason why I left them at this clinic is because I was sure they were going to give him his insulin on time! What could have go wrong in one week?I hope they will have an explanation for me on Monday.

They did a good job when I called them and I was able to call them in such short notice.

Love the entire staff and doctors there. Have been trusting our fur babies to their care since 1982.
