Dr. Parkerson did my 6 yr old Chihuahuas annual several weeks ago, and presented me with an estimate for dental. Low end-pull 26 teeth-$1350. High end-pull more than 26-$2050. High-pull more-$2050. I called my vet in Lake Charles who did his checkup last year. I drove Peanut to Lake Charles. They pulled 4 teeth, 2 little ones sort of fell out. My bill, with antibiotics and pain meds, $$320. I would not recommend this vet.

The vets and tech at Tanglewilde are always amazing and they remember each of our animals like they see them every day. They are a little more expensive than some other vets in the area but it is well worth it for the care and attention they give to our pets. We have been bringing our pets to Tanglewilde for six years and will continue to do so. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for top-not h vet care, caring and smiling faces and people who actually care about their pets.

I had rescue small dog and toom him for vet check . He had heartworm and prognosis was not good . Had to put him down and the Doctor was wonderful and the staff also.

I would not come back to this place. I took my kitten baby there three times....He was 17 weeks at the first visit. I never had a kitten or cat before. They did not inform us necessary info, such as neuter should be at least 5 months old for male cats. Because early neuter can cause urinary blockage. They did not weigh nor measure the temperature of my baby. They did put one time revolution on my baby and did not tell me that I needed to have revolution on my baby every month. I had a feeling this place is not good. So I took my baby to Petco for a wellness exam and flea treatment. Petco gave me an overall of my baby ( weight, temperature, pulse, respiration) and dewormed and put revolution on my baby and provided my revolution to put on my baby every month.

Best place for your pet, all I can say are bunch of caring people work here

Their love for animals is blatant and their kindness for the animal parents far exceeds expectations. I cant say enough good things about this team.

You will not find a more caring team. I was referred by my regular vet because my dog needed accupuncture. I loved it so much I decided to change vets. I will say that it is more pricey than most vets and very difficult to get an appointment. Book well in advance.

It has taken me a while to be able to talk about it, but I wanted to thank Dr. Parkerson and her crew for all of their efforts in trying to save my Archie. December 17th, 2020 was one of the worst days of my life and the staff made me feel like i wasnt alone in my grief. I was referred here by a friend and signed my puppy up for the wellness plan. Weve had 2 visits so far, and are very happy with the staff and vets at Tanglewilde Vet Clinic! TERRIBLE. It’s obvious that they don’t give a hoot about animals or healing them, but they will be quick to point out the financials on the Paperwork. I talked on the phone twice with Laura and was never told that I would have to wait outside in the pouring rain while the vet spoke to me on the phone. I am on vacation and I took an Uber to their business in the middle of a flood to be told that I wouldn’t even be able to speak to a vet myself. My dog has a specific condition and I would need to be able to physically show the vet where the rashes are, not speak on the phone and hope and pray that he saw it. All of this could have been avoided if I was simply told about their protocol on the phone before I set the appointment. I’m standing in the rain with a sick dog while I’m writing this, please don’t even waste ur time coming here and find a vet who actually cares.

I absolutely love this place! I was worried about my puppy having stomach issues, so I took her to this vet a few days ago. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff and was helped very quickly (in the future I will make an appointment, but I felt like it was an emergent circumstance.)They were super helpful and answered all my questions. We were then taken back into a super clean room and we didnt have to wait very long to be seen. Both the veterinarian and the staff were very polite and knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back!

I made an appointment for 7 AM and once I showed up, I was told I had no appointment and there wasnt even a vet to be expected until 8:30 and was basically told too bad so sad, instead of trying to figure out what was going on. I was very disappointed as I really liked this vet. I cant count on unreliability when it comes to my dog. I will not be returning.

We needed a second opinion on whether our 12-year-old lab mix might need orthopedic surgery. Dr. Parkerson saw her right away, spent 20 minutes on the phone with me going through possibilities, and gave me very clear and reasonable recommendations for why she thought our pup wouldnt need surgery. We saved both a gigantic bill at Gulf Coast and also (hopefully) our dogs comfort by using Dr. Parkerson. Well be transitioning both of our pups to Tanglewilde going forward, as they offer both personalized care for our animals and also a broader range of services than our current vet care clinic. Found a lost dog today and went to check for a microchip!!! THEY ARE LIFE SAVERS!! This place is a joke don’t take your best buddy here. They don’t care about anything they just want your money. I had a puppy he eating a little bit of food and had me worry for a bit until I took him here. Don’t get me wrong the The nursing staff was finally the ladies at the front desk was friendly but the freaking veterinarian that wasn’t so friendly it’s like he’ll tell you something that you really wanted to hear. They did lab work on my puppy and they told me came back normal everything seemed fine they even gave him a can dog food that he started to eat, and he told me everything was fine with my dog. They gave me medicine and they gave me a canna dog food which I end up paying for told me try out different puppy food. And make another appointment for the next day which I did. Around 12 at noon I came home and find my puppy die. When I went back to the vet they knew he was sick, they knew he was going to die and they didn’t tell me or had me be prepared for him to leave this earth. Until I called them and let them know that he is die. I was very hurt by all this. I really felt like it was all for the money

We have two dogs and two cats. The staff and the doctors are fabulous. They spend time explaining everything to me and they have excellent rapport with our animals, whether it is a skittish cat or a large German Sheppard, they can handle it all.

We were referred to this vet from a friend, when we adopted 2 Chihuahuas from her. We will never go anywhere else, every experience we have had with Tanglewilde has been EXCEPTIONAL.I love the family, intimate feel. They have been great and understanding with all of our pets; when we werent sure what was wrong with our Border Collie X, Jessica was very informative and thorough in her assessment and we were able to email and communicate efficiently & effectively. I love how they treat my fur kids; I took them to a chain vet before and the level of care @ Tanglewilde far, far exceeds the care they got at the other place. A little bit further from our house but it is absolutely worth the drive. You wont be disappointed.

Very friendly, and they didnt try to upsell me on unnecessary tests like the other clinics in west Houston do. Gentle and loving. She also was the first vet to provide more ear drops to give my cat at home for a week. Typically vets only give the one dose at the clinic, then wait for the infection to reappear so they can get more money out of me!

Dr. Parkerson is a wonderful vet, you can tell that she truly loves her job and animals. She is very loving and caring but also extremely honest. She has no problem coming in the examination room and sitting on the floor with the animals. The office is always clean and smells great. The office staff and vet techs are all friendly and loving. They know all of their clients and animals. It feels like family when you go in. I recommend everyone bring their animals here.

Great vets and staff everyone is so nice and caring. They also have the pharmacy in office, so you get the medicine to take with you once they are done examing and/or testing your pet. We have taken 3 of our dogs there. Dr. Stone is wonderful! However, we have seen other vets there and they are all wonderful and caring. They are in the neighborhood and are close which is so convenient. The only negative is they are VERY expensive. When you have 4 pets it gets expensive to keep them all current on their shots, flea medicine etc. and of course any problems that arise from time to time. We LOVE them just wish they had a low cost vaccine day.

I went there recently with my Yorkie, without an appointment, and they were still able to attend to me in a timely manner . He’s an overly cautious little guy, but the Dr and staff were really sweet and able to put him at ease. They gave me a treatment plan and reassurance that my little guy would be ok. They enjoy what they do, it shows in their work and how they relate to the clients and their owners.I truly value their customer service!

Weve brought our 2 dogs here for several years and have always been happy with the service. The staff are all very friendly and its relatively easy to get an appointment within a day or two. Everyone Ive interacted with there has been friendly, compassionate and professional.

This place had a vet unreasonably prolong my dying cats life and then told us she was perfectly good to go home with no meds or treatments and that we could finish treatment in the morning. Seeing her at pick up, she looked in just as bad shape and we were confused that she was apparently perfectly fine and didnt need any more treatment til the morning. When she became completely unresponsive (about 15 minutes after getting home), we called the vet back and spoke with someone else who said our cats only chance was to be taken straight to an emergency vet for the night. Would have been nice to have known that when leaving. Instead, our cat died in 15 minutes. I know there is never a guarantee but I just wish we had been dealing with a competent vet to help make the hard call instead of interrupting our goodbyes to our cat and convincing us to keep her there for the day, saying she was fine and not dying when she clearly was. We were already saying goodbye because, as proven, that was inevitable, however, because of this professionals incompetence we both had to say our goodbyes and spend a bunch of extra, unnecessary money to do so. Every way the vet has handled things since then has been equally disappointing. The manager cant come out of hiding from us long enough to have a conversation. Enjoy the money.

You set an appointment and they do not book it properly. My dog was supposed to have something removed from his head but the vet didnt even note to remove it. (Main reason i went in there). They are like a car mechanic. Just finding anything to charge. Will never bring my pets back here.

My dog did suffered from kidney stones and Dr. Ong was his veterinarian. However she does NOT work their anymore. While Dr. Ong did a great job with my dog and prescribing him food, food that prevents his past illness from coming back. The current Veterinarians will NOT give me refill prescription. Thank you God for my dogs health. I asked for a new prescription for his food. They do not care that my dogs kidney stones could come back as a result.. So my recommendation is to NOT walk but RUN and do not bring your pets to this Veterinarian office. There only in it for the money. Definitely will be going elsewhere for my dogs needs.

I own a 3 year old Moyen Poodle, Sully. Hes a somewhat natural dog as we avoid certain mediciations, eats raw food, etc. Tanglewilde Vet is in our neighborhood and we have visited before for some vaccines and they were very friendly, however...When it came down to getting Sully neutered at 3 years old I wanted to make sure I was going to the right place. I searched google and yelp top to bottom for Vets in Houston just trying to get an idea of what I was getting into. Finally after a few days (discounts on neutering - Wed and Friday) I decided Tanglewilde was the spot. They suggested blood work which we did and once we got our clear results we booked the apt.We walked in and immediately the ladies greated Sully in the front, he was stoked and forgot I was even there. We walked back with him into their very clean weighing room for some quick info and they took the leash and said they would call us around noon once the surgery was finished.They didnt just call after surgery to tell us how it went, but then again in a few hours to tell us he was up, then the ladies followed up with us the following day to see how he was doing, then AGAIN the following day. I felt like they really cared about him and his wellbeing.Thank you Dr. Stone and everyone at Tanglewilde Vet, that was a tough decision and I am glad I stuck with yall.

I loved it! I had a super professional and helpful deal towards me and my pet. I definitely recommend them and will be back.

We arrived at the clinic at 8 am on Monday morning with our cat who was very sick. We had been up for about 48 hours (a couple naps here and there) due to emergency over night vets then forced feedings and medication. When we arrived, my cat was still somewhat responsive and still walking and standing. We agreed to a treatment plan with our Doctor who was confident he could get her vitals up and ready for a feeding tube the next day. I asked the tough question of her prognosis and he assured as long as we admitted her for the day, he doesnt see any reason why we wouldnt see improvement.Shortly after we signed our agreement to pay the treatment plan we established for the day, my cat went limp, laid on her side and started breathing differently. Our doctor was unavailable, so another doctor came in and alerted us that it was too late and there was nothing they could do, my girl was dying. We should hold her while we had the chance.We broke into tears and I picked my baby up and sat down on the bench with my fiance, crying our goodbyes. That should have been the end.Suddenly, our original doctor came in the room and asked us what happened. I told him she laid on her side and became unresponsive so we were saying goodbye. He told me to put her back on the table. I was so sleep deprived and emotional, I just listened because I didnt know what else to do. Without having a second to process what was happening, the techs were instructed to start shaving her arm for the IV. I have never seen a dying animal before and he assured me there was time and we just needed to stick to the original plan, nothing had changed.In the middle of saying goodbye to my dying cat, I was told with complete confidence that we needed to admit her. I was never truly asked how I wanted to proceed and throughout the process he just kept saying we needed to try one more thing.Several times, I asked the doctor how he felt about her condition and he never seemed to think she was terminal. The treatment was going to work.I dont know what kind of monitoring he did through out the day. However, when we picked her up at the end of the day, he said he was nervous that morning but with how she responded he was totally confident. He was extremely optimistic about her condition. All during this conversation, I was holding my limp, crying cat who did not seem at all okay in my inexperienced opinion.After about 15 minutes of being home, I officially knew that nothing was okay. She was acting the exact way she was when she laid on her side that morning. I called the vet and spoke with a different doctor who let me know that my cat has been and is in completely critical condition and probably my only hope is to admit her over night to an emergency vet (and even then, she did not sound hopeful).So, now I find out that EVERYONE in that office knew my cat was dying EXCEPT the doctor who convinced me to continue on for the day. The doctor who was extremely optimistic about her prognosis had NO IDEA my cat was actually in critical condition and probably needed admitted over night to an emergency vet? THIRTY MINUTES after being pulled off the IV and after he said based on his professional opinion, she would make a full recovery, my cat died.My cat was going to die regardless and I know that is never an easy call to make, but, every other doctor in that building would have made the call except our doctor.So now, I owe them a little under $600 for miserably prolonging my cats life and having her last 24 hours be in a strange place without us. All because the doctor didnt know what a dying animal looks like when, after speaking with the other doctors, he totally should have.After explaining all of this to the owner of the facility she said well, like, theres just nothing we can really do, you signed the treatment agreementHow about be humble and accept that you had a professional employed at your facility for his first day on the job make a horrible decision and call it a day? It is clear to me, he never understood the reality of my cats condition.

Ive been coming here for a few years and have been satisfied with the care my dog Shadow receives. They always check in after any visits to make sure everything is well.

We visited two times. We payed 50 USD for first visit and we go again 3 days later for a control.They charged another 50 USD for control visit.My last vet didnt charge for the controls in 10 days but this place is expensive. We will change our vet clinic again.

Made an appointment after reading reviews; I told Dr. Parkerson that one of the reasons I chose her was due to her being versed in both western & eastern medicine. I guess because of this I was charged for a holistic exam for around $150 versus around $50 that I was quoted over the phone when I called and asked about prices. This was only for the exam portion of the bill. I was not aware of this until check-out so was disappointed after driving an hour and a half to get there. I am a RN and was taught and believe that every exam performed should be holistic. Here is the definition:holistic | hōˈlistik | adjective chiefly Philosophy characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.• Medicine characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the physical symptoms of a disease.I really liked Dr. Parker but the exam was nothing more than I would expect from any normal pet exam for a first time visit. The office lady did give me a small discount when she saw my surprise of the bill (10 or 15% off the exam portion only) and apologized for not telling me about THAT exam price over the phone when I called. However, I am retired and on limited budget so had I known this prior to my visit, I probably would have chosen to go to someone closer.

It just doesnt get any better. From the top down, Tanglewilde is an exemplary veterinary clinic. Dr. Parkerson and Dr. Ong are wonderful Vets. Their knowledge, compassion and attention to detail will leave you comfortable knowing youre getting the best possible care for your pet. The front office staff, vet techs, groomers and kennel staff are some of the nicest people youll ever met. I just cant tell you how much the Doctors and Staff of Tanglewilde have meant to me over the years. Personally, I cant imagine going to any other Veterinary Clinic.
